DspMixFx App Description & Overview
What is dspmixfx app? Together with the UR-RT2, UR-RT4, UR242, UR44, UR28M and UR824 audio interfaces, the dspMixFx app allows you to utilize the benefits of Yamaha’s custom-designed SSP2 DSP chip directly on your iPad and iPhone. The dspMixFx app is free of charge, providing latency-free monitoring while running the highly acclaimed REV-X reverb, the Sweet Spot Morphing Channel Strip and Guitar Amp Classics with other iOS audio apps.
Please note that this app is only a control application for Steinberg’s USB audio interfaces UR-RT2, UR-RT4, UR242, UR44, UR28M and UR824. Without a UR interface it can be used in demo mode only.

Make sure to download and install the firmware update version 2.10 first for UR44, UR28M and UR824 to enable the UR interface to run together with the dspMixFx app.

* Units need to be switched to class compliant mode to run with the iPad via the iPad Camera Connection Kit, the Lightning to USB Camera Adapter or the Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter. In CC mode Loopback capability is disabled and only the analog inputs and outputs are available on UR28M and UR824.

Doesn't recognize UR44 interface. Just got the Steinberg UR44 interface. Wonderful! It works fine with dspmixfx on the desktop, but this app won't recognize the interface on my iPad Air. The interface itself works fine with Auria, but dspmixfx won't recognize or control the interface. Big disappointment!

Thank you so much for this app!. I switched over to iOS to streamline my workflow and needed to use external fx with my iPad but I was getting a feedback loop. This app was the missing link as I had no control over the unit but now with the mixer I can do much more.. Thanks!

UR44 ,DspMixFx.. To, Steinberg Tech Support. Thank you for making, quality products . I am a happy owner of a UR44 interface switched to CC mode, with firmware version 2.1.1 . Connected to an iPad 4. , iOS 9.3.3. , via genuine Apple USB Kit. DspMixFx for iPad does NOT recognize the UR44. Even after several reinstallations of the app... ,though all other applications work fine ,with UR44. Searched the forums for answers , it seems nobody has a solution... Should' i wait ,for an update of firmware, iOS or the DspMixFx app ? Kind regards and no complaints ,UR44.

IPad Pro M1 … not working!. The audio card (UR44) is not recognized at all by the iPad.
Confusing to use. I don’t see any instructions how to connect to my UR242. iPhone is in same wireless network as my MBP that has the UR242 connected to. Yes, icon is blinking on top right of the app... so how do you connect it???
