So easy!! So reasonably priced!!. I love how this app saves my favorite lot right on the front page. Also allows me to easily edit which car I am in. I’ve been using for several months now (not daily) and the app wasn’t working (just 1x) but I left a customer service note and kept checking back. They called me shortly after and confirmed that they had my car, the app was up and running and that I was all set! Great customer service.

Won’t accept Credit card. Go to pay and enter credit card and it says Oops can’t Process at this time. Fix this Please

Changing Rate for Parking Time Frame. Sadly, I never have an issue until today. I’m only working half a day, and the app won’t allow me to change the duration of parking or end time of parking. The app forced me to pay a full day rate. I’m frustrated.

Easy. I do not believe the consumer should have to pay a service fee but whatever. It is easier than stopping at the kiosk.

Garbage company. Honk takes your money and you get tickets anyway. Great job making an app to waste more time.

Be Aware or Weekly Rate. Love the app and the discounts, however a weekly pass started on Monday morning ends Friday morning at 1200, actually only equaling 4 days. For this reason, I am giving low rating.

Terrible app, use the website. Absolutely god-awful app. You can’t enter card info without saving it an every Apple Pay attempt I’ve ever made has failed with a generic error.

Wow. This is terrible. Why is this so bad? I just want to take my kids skiing. Need to reserve a Parking spot. But the app is terrible. Not surprised since Alterra chose them as a partner.

Beyond AWFUL!!. I’ve used lots of parking apps, and this one is the WORST ever. It’s nearly impossible to extend your parking times. The email they send should have an extension ability on it like other apps, but it doesn’t. instead, it has all the terms and conditions in the website information! Other apps also send you a text message that you can easily access to extend it, but not this one.I think their goal is to make it so you cannot figure out how to extend it so they can give you parking fines!! I don’t know yet if we got a ticket but we messed with the stupid thing for over an hour trying to extend it. If you didn’t remember the street address of where you are parked, your screwed. Awful and so frustrating!!!! Again, I’ve used many parking apps and never have I had to use one as bad as this one.

Pay Parking Fee in Advance. It would have saved me a $50 citation if I had grasped the fact that parking must be paid in advance. If you don’t know how long the car will be parked, pay the minimum amount. Don’t leave your car until some payment is made. The app will notify your phone if/when more payment is required.

The worst parking app ever?. Confusing, horrible GUI, unable to select correct date and time (the app changes the parking chosen date and time to whatever it feels). Plainly useless. It is actually remarkable that an app like that exists and that the parking operators work with the creators of this thing.

Too many clicks to use a pass. I buy 10 packs and each time I use a pass it takes five clicks. Gotta be a way to do it faster. Otherwise, app is great.

It Does Work But Had Poor Interface. The app pre-populates a license plate the user used previously. Oooops. What if the user is driving a different vehicle than the previous time? The solution seems to pay twice for the same parking space, and then request a refund from the parking vendor. When tapping the license plate field it did not allow me to change the plate number. So my solution was to Pay first with the incorrect plate, restart the phone, then pay again with the correct plate number.

They charge more when paying with the app. Why up charge when people pay through the app vs paying at the on-site pay stations

So frustrating. Don’t know if I have ever used a more glitchy and confusing app…doesn’t store credit card properly, doesn't store login info properly, confusing to use, user interface is not helpful.

Ridiculous number of steps to redeem a flex pass. One of the main reasons I purchase a flex pass is convenience. With at least 6 steps to click through before entering the ramp, the app is terrible at this. Also, it’s not easy to find where to buy another pass once your pack expires. I hope to see improvements soon!

Not Good. I’m standing in a parking lot, can’t get the app to download, have to log in (I hate that), they I use Google or Apple to log in and the app sends a validation text to a number that isn’t mine. There is no easy way to backup to create a login with a different means or pay for the parking as a guest. Also no easily seen support button for help. I work for a software company and these kinds of UI deficits aren’t acceptable. I’ll be avoiding this app and these lots in the near future. Cash is still king (and doesn’t make you miss your dinner reservations).

Easy to use. Easy to use, but I received a parking ticket even though I paid through their app. It was eventually resolved. They said there was a glitch in the app. 10-20 people had the same problem that day.

Horrible app. Won’t let me change my password. Extremely poorly laid out. I hate using this app.

No directions. Worst parking app ever used. I rented a long term parking spot but all it says is it's located at a complex "3164F". But when i arrived i realized there are multiple parking lots in this complex and spent an hour yet I only found 3164 A, B, C, and D, and they are in different lots!!! Where is 3164F???

Extremely buggy. Bugs galore and interface is awful.

This is the worst app. I hope you get this before you download it. It’s the worst app ever. The very nature of the entire app is to make you pay as much as you possibly can. I’m on day three of four days in Milwaukee. And it made me buy a five day pass that doesn’t work during the weekend. So it made me pay for two extra days. I have basically been forced to pay $100 to park for an entire weekend. This is awful. I really hope I can save somebody this weekend.

registration required to park. Posted sign says no account required, asked to register with both email and phone number. Scam!

Doesn’t work. I tried using this in Breckinridge. I entered the location ID number for my parking lot and I just got a spinning icon, it never did anything. I had a good internet connection.

Keep getting ticketed!. Not sure where the disconnect is, but I have gotten two tickets now even though I paid using this app. Yes I confirmed the license plate number and zone both times. Something is not working right. Used this app for several months with no issues until now.

Terrible UI. Very bad app. Cant even go back to where I was with a swipe. iOS doesn’t have any back button. Getting a pass is very hard and app seems like one made by a child.

Quick pay to park. So convenient and quick, I usually pay as I walk away from the lot. Thanks for giving us an option to use this app. Its great!

Terrible app. Props to this app for increasing prices for parking in my city by more than double. Also the app is glitchy and the UI could use a lot of work.

Quick and Easy!. This app is actually really easy to use! It’s a bit annoying setting up an account and getting everything set up initially, but once you’ve done that it is really easy to pay for parking. The only improvement I can think of is to add the ability to enter the parking lot number instead of searching for the lot on a map. That way when you see the lot # right when you park you can open the app and pay right away without hassle.

Pay for a spot you can’t get. Paid for a spot in Breckinridge and when we got there, no spot was open. Horrible app

Unhappy with fee. The $0.55 handling fee—especially when extending for an hour—is exorbitant.

Won’t even let us pay, had to go home. First I noticed the sticker shock for the processing fees (3x any other app I’ve used). I chose the “free 15 min” option to see if I could get my parking validated. The coffee shop could not validate, so I came back to the app to try to pay. It just gave me an error that my maximum time has been exceeded (it had been 15 minutes). Now I can’t even park legally, and had to turn around and go home to avoid a ticket. Totally ruined our whole day out in town.

Useless App on US phones…. Won’t send verification or work properly, poorly designed. Totally frustrating and useless.

Quick and easy. Quick, simple, convenient as a parking app should be. Wish every spot would just adopt this app because it really is the simplest and fastest to use. I’ve had trouble with this company’s QR codes but if you have the app you’ll never have to use them.

Don't buy the multi-pass!. I need to park for 5 days in and out. Thoughts were the pass was the way to go. But their App stinks. Somehow the pass worked for two of the five days. No phone to call. Submitted a request and recieved instructions and screen shots that did not match the App. Cost me three times as much as I planned. Buyer Beware!

Incorrect rates?. Gave an option for 2 hours, or the max time. Only needed 3 hours so ended up paying for the max time. Thought maybe it was the city, but looked at one of the other apps later, and you could select any number of hours.

Easy and reliable app, expensive parking rates. The app was easy to download and convenient to extend parking so I didn’t have to go back to my vehicle. The rates themselves are kind of high...

Other parking apps are better. This app was significantly more difficult to use than other parking apps and charged me for more time than I selected. I attempted to pay for 2-3 hours while going to dinner but the app charged me for 5 hours!! Needless to say, I will not be using lots with this app again

City tickets and towing. I paid for parking TWICE using this app. I got a ticket from the city. I contacted support and it turns out it was a mistake.. so I ended up getting a 30$ refund. I used the app again in the same parking lot at 560 King Street West.. I got towed for $282 even though I showed the attendant the digital receipt. On his iPad he cannot see any registered payment. Confirmed app is broken and will never use it again!

Needs more options. Entering only 30 min increments is not worth it. If I could scroll or pick 1 hour or two or 1 hour and 15 mins would be great. Instead of every fifteen add 30mins

Cumbersome with hidden traps. I purchased a set of passes and it’s very difficult to activate them and then I find that they can only be used before a certain time. I won’t be using this app or this location after I use up these passes.

Does the job. Should be easier to use but for my first time it was a bit complicated to navigate the app and figure it out but I got the hang of it quick

Slow and Unresponsive. This app takes too long to load. Can’t load personal data to make the app easier to use. Very frustrating when other parking apps are so easy.

Honestly I don’t even know. I’ve parked here every weekday for months.. and within the past 2 weeks the app has crashed, hasn’t let me log in at all and I’ve paid for parking and got a ticket! How am I getting a ticket when I paid to park here... even with customer service it’s bs, after a long day of work the last thing I want to do is sit and talk to customer service.

Cannot complete transaction “error occurred”. it’s 6am. i’m tired. and i cannot pay this parking fee on this app. no matter what i do it says error occurred and will not let me pay. i’ve tried deleting and re-downloading, i added a different payment method, i tried every variation possible and nothing is working. it’s 6 am and the car is going to get towed bc i don’t have a credit card to go pay at the meter. so that’s great. this app was perfect until now.

Sold my phone number?. After not receiving any spam calls for months, I’ve received 4 spam calls (first from Cuba and now 3 calls from numbers almost identical to mine) over the past two days since downloading this app. They did something with my phone number. I haven’t called or given anyone else my number.

Terribly unfriendly app. Asks if I want to park in zone despite being 15 km away from current location. Every time. Payment redirect is slow and starts over frequently.

Not a smart app. Most parking apps allow you to extend your parking to the daily rate. Eg: $5/hour or $10/day. After an hour you can extend to the day rate for $5. This is logical. Honk does not allow this.

Don't reply for refund request. Ask for refund for parking at wrong place, and the customer service never reply my request.

User Unfriendly. Compared to pay by phone, this app is extremely user unfriendly. Why are there only preset durations on the main menu? Why do I have to tap through two menus to pick my own duration? Terrible design.

Lying app. I bought the term parking for school, Jan 1 to April 30th. I got a ticket today because even though I paid for all four months it apparently does not start until March?

FRAUD BEWARE. HUGE RANT TO HONK MOBILE. I used honk mobile by downloading the app and paying for parking at Victoria general hospital for my daughter to have surgery. Immediately following registering and entering my card info my account was jeopardized when someone in Toronto accessed my card and changed password — immediately blocking my access to my banking. After a long and tedious investigation with my bank…. Honk is the only possibility of where the FRAUD occurred from……and, the HONK company Has only reported fed with “our apologies” “ how can we help” NEVER TRUST HONK WITH YOUR CARD INFO 😡😡😡😡😡😡

So hard to make changes and claim refund. I tried to claim a refund due to errors made. Never get anything back

Prepare to get ticketed :-(. I bought overnight parking but received an expiration notice at 8:18pm that same night. I tried to extend the parking several times, but the app kept blinking error messages at me. I tried reaching out to support bit I am not sure the app connected to support. No joy. Ended up with a $30 ticket :-(

Honk. Not user friendly

Stressful. App was hard to use and the rates didn’t match with the lots I was using. I also had a problem that I would book over night parking until a certain time, pay for it, but then it would end at 6am instead of the time I picked.

Failed at York University. I uploaded the app as instructed and given a discount code. The app never gave an option to put the code in. Then I tried to use Apple Pay and that failed. As a result I got a $75 parking ticket. What a useless app.

A needful app, but doesn’t work well.. I got parking ticket because of the transaction through this app doesn’t complete on time. Sometimes this app is too slow. Don’t trust this app blindly.

No back button. There is absolutely no way to pick another location once you have entered the code for 1 location. There is no back button nor home button… user experience wasn’t pleasant

Not intuitive. Using this app is not intuitive at all. Doesn’t show active sessions on the main screen. Need to go through the menu to find it. Every action requires too many touch points. PayByPhone is doing it right. Learn from their UX design.

Non existent customer service. I accidentally put the wrong plate number of my other car and got a ticket. Wrote a message explaining the situation, nobody even bothered to reply.

Pay for parking and get towed anyway. This app is garbage. Even if you pay for parking you still might get towed because the locations are all messed up on the app on their end. If there’s a parking machine at the lot, use it instead. It takes less time to use the machine than getting your car out of the impound lot.

App sucks. This app is helpful but also awful it’s really easy to pay for the wrong spot and there’s no way of refunding so u pay for parking and still get a ticket. Save yourself the trouble and get a ticket from a meter. It also wouldn’t let me use my normal Visa cards the app it’s very picky.

Scam artists. No reason parking should ever be this expensive just so i can get to work.

Loads forever - don’t work. This app sucks so much like I’ve tried using it so many times and it never works. Signing in is hard enough, but actually paying for parking is harder. It never loads no matter how long you for wait to. And payment never goes through. Might as well get out and use the actual kiosk to pay. Sucks that most cities I’ve been to use this app when there’s way better parking apps like indigo that work just fine.

App sucks. If you’re going to charge students to park in front of their school then you should at least keep the app up to date and working so those broke students you’re charging can actually pay to park. Also, maintain your lots with the amount of money you’re exploiting from us. I shouldn’t be getting stuck in a lot that I’m paying $12 per day to park in.

Application Broken. Neither the mobile or web applications work. Unable to login with old or new credentials and their sign up page throws “BAD REQUEST 400” in the console. Not sure how this app is still up despite being unusable.

Default pay a problem. This app would rate much higher if it allowed ME to chose my default pay. I’d rather my ApplePay not be the default option, but this version does not allow me to set another option as default.

It’s not working at all?. Hi! Sorry for the bad review it’s usually great! But for the past week or so it won’t load and just goes straight to a blank page which is super annoying because we use it on campus to pay for parking and it’s not working for whatever reason now. Would you be able to fix it?

Garbage App. Slow, does not respond to promo codes. Getting it to do its job is half the battle. Don’t waste your time with this application.

Unfriendly. I have three parking Apps and this one is by far the worst. The other user friendly Apps give you the option to stop your session and actually get some money back. It makes because why should you pay for a parking spot if you are not there. Not this one. I dropped my wife off at the emergency and then I had to go home to take care of our dog and get some things for my wife. Ironically, when I was pulling in the hospital parking lot upon my return I got a notification that my session was expiring. Just in time to start a new parking session.

Honk…more like “Bad Parking app”. Tried to extend my parking but then the app just went to a blank white screen. I even closed the app and restarted my phone. Made me have to leave pitch and putt early and I was having one heck of a round.

Signup with Apple didn’t work. Should do more testing, signup not working when you’re trying to pay for parking is a negative experience. Drove me to use pay by phone instead.

The Worst. Tried to pay for a select day and time, ended up paying for right now with no option to change time or contact for refund. No information whatsoever.

Will still get parking tickets. If I could leave 0 stars I would. You will get tickets still even if you pay for parking with them. When you try to get a refund they throw you around and don’t take responsibility.

Fake customization. The app says it lets you choose a duration, but anything other than hourly increments just jumps up to the nearest hour. What is the point of having a minute option if it’s not usable? It tricks users into paying extra for their spot. If you need to pay for 15-30 minutes, or an hour and 15, just pay at the meter

Ticketed after paying - beware!. Be careful using this app for parking - I paid for 2hr parking and was giving a ticket in the same lot during my paid time. Not worth the hassle if you have to appeal a ticket for the 2mins saved using honk. Update - almost 2 months later...received a response from honk from my review...”mistake happen”...no interest in taking ownership for the error...this was after I sent an email to their support team and got the same response once before. Nothing like bringing memories back of a poor experience and reminder of how honk doesn’t care about their users. They could have easily agreed to cover my $6 parking fee which I ask for in my initial email request for their part in my parking issue...

Don’t believe the hype and fake 5 star reviews. This app is brutal. I know multiple people who have had issues with the app where they’ve paid for parking passes for a season and STILL gotten tickets in paid parking areas. And it happens frequently. And no these aren’t areas where the parking is sectioned off between residential parking and public, it’s all public parking. If a service is going to be offered it should be done correctly. And furthermore, when a service has done poorly, those employed should be able to rectify it but my friends have always been told that the 100$ tickets are “their problems” because “they parked there”. How about fix your system so people don’t get ticketed? One of my friend works at a spot where himself, students and multiple disabled individuals use this app’s parking passes and get ticketed FREQUENTLY. Almost every day. These people are already physically disabled and now have to deal with the financial repercussions of that. Absolutely brutal.

Doesn’t work.. I have been trying to pay for parking for the last thirty minutes, every time I try to load my zone it says zone not found, doesn’t load at all, or crashes. I still haven’t been able to, and will probably get a ticket due to your crap app.

Difficult and slow to use. Parking at my school is so much more difficult with Homk mobile. Confusing interface. Does not save my account info. Fumbling around beside my car trying to use parking passes I already paid for. Especially bad in bad weather. So upset they chose honk mobile here.

Starts counting your parking time from the moment you open the app. No matter how quick you are, the app subtracts the amount of time you have used since opening the app from your available parking time. So if you’re paying for 15 minutes and it took you 60 seconds from the time you opened the app to the time the payment went through, you’re only getting 14 minutes to rush and get whatever you need done before your parking will expire.

Honk is horrible. We were towed yesterday after using the quick Honk QR CODE download. No one at Honk was helpful. There are no telephone numbers to reach anyone. We had paid and our car was towed/stolen 15 minutes later to a location 30 miles away. $250 later with absolutely no help from Honk were we able to retrieve it. Do NOT use Honk parking lots! It is a scam.

Not ready for prime time. Hard to believe UBC moved to this app. I've spent 20 minutes trying to save a payment method. Used 2 different credit cards and PayPal each twice, received the little green check mark each time only to find that I have no saved payment methods when I attempt to pay. Extremely poor navigation throughout the app as well. Has anyone actually tested this?!!?

No QR scan. This app is fine for the most part but it is missing one key feature. It needs to have the QR code scanner that works for entry and exit of a ramp. I love using the iParkit app because all I need to do is scan the QR code each time and I’m done. I can’t do that with this app so it doesn’t really have any use for me.

Poor directions. I paid for parking using this app, at a parking ramp that uses QR codes for entrance and exit, the app’s directions simply told me to “park, pay with honk, and leave” but did not supply a QR code. So I was unable to enter the garage. I had to pay twice to park. Will not be using Honk again

Works but needs lot of work. I like this app as it cuts the waiting time in line for your chance to pay at the parking pay station however there are lot of kings that needs fixing. App layout and aesthetics are just so lame and backward. Hope the developer takes these things into account and updates the app

Needs Apple Pay. This might be a more secure and useful app if ApplePay was an option

You can't have me cell phone number. I haven't used the app because it forces one to provide a cell phone number to register. I don't want to start getting junk texts and calls. My email address should be sufficient for sending me messages.

Great app-- very useful. Reminds you when your time is up and allows you to pay more at anytime. Wish all parking lots used this app. It remembers your car.

Worst parking app I’ve ever used. Downloaded in advance of ski trip to Stowe. This app is the worst. Sends a verification code to a fake default phone number before even prompting you to set up your account info with a phone number. I deleted my account to try again, now once I set up my info I can’t even save it. Tried this three times, I give up. Honestly I don’t even trust an app this glitchy with my PayPal or bank card info, forget it.

Very convenient app. I like that I don't have to run back and forth from my car to the payment machine nor do I have to have a credit card or cash always at the ready as my payment info is preloaded in the app.

Salt Lake City?. Only shows 1 parking lot in SLC, UT & that’s a park & ride for the bus transport system to the ski resorts. I immediately deleted it. Useless to me.

Honk honk!. Love this app. Couldn't make parking in this new to me city of Toronto cheaper or easier. Great control and easy to use.

Never stand in the rain/snow to pay for parking. After using this a few times, I’m ready to give this a full five stars. Easy to use. Great out of time notices. Easy to top up. Easy to find parking. Great customer support. No complaints, only praise.

Easy to use once you figure it out!. I love this app. It is a little tricky to use especially if you have a promo (discount code). Like any powerful software, the more it can do, the more details have to be included in the user interface, so read and study the app carefully the first few times. But given that, I was able to have extended parking at a promo rate without ever returning to the lot. They have so many locations you can use that if one gets sold out it is not too unreasonably far to find another and use the same app. Love it!!!

Didn't work, stuck in line. Downloaded app, signed up, entered car and credit card info, failed. Not worth the effort.

Ugh thievery. The app knows that my extension is overlapping but instead of starting the clock after the end time it starts the clock again immediately.

Horrible app. This is ridiculous! I have a friend that wants to park at my apartment building and I have to go through this junk to get her a spot. No phone number to call either. I don't have a cell phone so can't even use the app. Horrible!!!

The best parking app I’ve used ever!. This app has helped me so much, it really has been flawless in it’s use to renew and even find parking. I’ve especially appreciated this on my business travels!!
