Passio GO Comments & Reviews 2026
Poor practicality. My bus recently transferred from TransLoc to Passio Go and I am so disappointed. The basic necessary features of knowing when the next bus is coming at your frequent stops on this app takes forever to trigger. The design of the app put way too much focus on the fancy features that no one will use over the simple and quick use that we all want.
passio go. i use this app for school and it's great! the app gives directions to stops, the ability to toggle certain routes (all color coded!!!!) on and off, ability to track your bus, and an accurate estimated time :0!!! my only wish is that you could see how long your bus in particular will take to get to your destination, but i understand that can be hard with traffic, load, and all other factors included :)
What’s the point?. My university bus system recently switched to this app in their constantly-revolving recommendations for bus tracking apps, and my main question is… why? It’s not any more accurate or reliable than Transit, and it has a much worse user interface. This is just one more competitor in the increasingly saturated space of bus trackers that are only as good as the flawed tracking data they’re given, and this weird phenomenon of services switching between them every year or so does nothing to make riding public transit simpler: in fact, it does the opposite. I’m giving this app 2 stars for being on average better than nothing, but not as good as its competitors, and very often not worth the frustration.
very poorly made. i can’t submit a bug report because that’s broken! my intended bug report was that i can’t change the preferred departure/arrival time because that’s completely broken too. even if it was a fully functional app, it only shows the currently running routes to stops. there’s no way to plan a bus route on here. my school really thinks this app is useful and has all we need to know when it really isn’t at all. the UI design makes it seem like someone threw this app together in a few days and never tested it or refined it whatsoever. TOO MANY people rely on this app for it to be so shoddy.
Wrong most of the time. Very consistent incorrect eta reports. It is also really annoying that if you don’t zoom in super close, when you click on your stop, the app thinks you’re clicking on your little tag? Why would I want to see my profile when I’m clicking on the stop? Also impossible to send feedback! Any time you click the feedback button, there’s no way to get rid of the text box so you can send your bug report.
Tech in Transportation. Makes planning easier and a great resource to have as a rider. So often early times and delays aren’t the bus driver fault and this allows you to know instead of waiting. Wish it had daily updates of what times bus time when it is not running.
Can track the bus. The predictions on the stops weren’t great. But once I figured the moving arrow symbol was tracking the real time position of the bus, I could estimate arrival time myself based on where the bus was along the route. Ability to filter for your route of interest is also handy.
Great app!. I have been using Passio Go for iOS for the past one year, and I found this app to be great to track my university bus schedule. Everything works smoothly so far! I recommend this app to others!
Disappointed. I was going to leave this as feedback on the app, but the app wouldn’t let me submit it after typing this out! So, I’m putting it here: tracking is VERY inaccurate— it will say a bus is 1 minute away and after a minute it will say 10 minutes (this happened to me right now, it said 1 minute and then after it said service will start in 30 minutes). the buses are rarely visible on the map, either. This is frustrating. I’m a college student and don’t have a car, getting downtown is a hike from my dorm. A more reliable app would be greatly appreciated.
Misleading tagline. Do you wanna get somewhere on time? Well forget it. You won’t get that with this app. Their tagline is “real time bus tracking” and, well, forget the “real time” part of it. There just simply isn’t any tracking view. You can see the routes, and that’s it. You might as well use Google Maps because at least Google Maps will suggest other forms of transit.
Often Malfunctions. There are so many glitches within the app and what I have to guess are coding bugs because I ended up thinking my phone/internet was the issue when I’d change my arrival/departure time, try to locate the any buses (which rarely shows up on time. I’m not sure if it’s the app being behind or the drivers atp). It’s also very hard to navigate through the app. It seems to get continuous updates and layout changes but every time it just gets worse. There is no simple way to view current or future schedules, I end up looking in google or my home town’s transportation app to get better ETA. What I would like to see most of all is the app not closing as soon as I open it or finally find the route I’m looking for.
Buses. Overall app is great! Few issues I’ve had is it doesn’t show all operating buses sometimes (excluding buses I receive messages are not running for the day) it does freeze periodically and I lose track of realtime position of buses! Again, overall app is great!
Amazing for DIA. Absolutely love it to see when employee shuttle busses are arriving and leaving the terminal! Makes it 100x better not waiting around wondering when the bus is coming
Incredibly unintuitive. I use this app for one thing and one thing only: to see how many minutes away the campus shuttle is, and when the next available shuttle will be present. You’d think that core functionality would be easy enough to present intuitively, but you’d be wrong! Tapping on a stop does nothing. Searching a route is impossible. Googling the app name will only return countless forum posts complaining about how awful this app is. Genuinely don’t know how this app has above a 2 star average
Best city transport I’ve known in Fayetteville😁. We recently became a one car family and now getting across town is much easier to plan out making my carbon footprint 👣 one less☺️
Some small issues but much praise. I really like some aspects of the app such as reliability, and some user friendliness, but there are other things that kinda bug me. Mainly that the stops do not have time update unless you unselect and then reselect it. That, along with slow response times when I click on a stop. Not sure if your app can be sped up/optimized in some way or not but at least make the ETAs update every minute.
Occasional bugs. Hey there, love the app for time tracking and such but definitely noticed some bugs in the app or with the bus tracking system in general. For the app sometimes you have to refresh or force close the app to get it to register any busses on route, or uncheck and check all routes sometimes works too Ty
needs a LOT of work to even be usable. truly awful. completely unintuitive and the controls and oddly hard to navigate. even something like changing the time i want to leave/arrive by is impossible— for some reason, it’s stuck at 4:32 PM and won’t let me change it to any other time. times shown are at times accurate and at others completely wrong, or the app simply doesn’t show a time, even when the selected line should be running. my university switched to this app from TransLoc, and it’s painfully obvious how much better TransLoc was. i barely ever use this app and when i do it’s only when i absolutely have to because it is infuriating. i never write app reviews but this one is so bad that i just had to.
Good app with slight feedback. As Baltimore’s public transport can be quite tricky to navigate in terms of finding the schedule (I usually rely on Google Maps), I realized Passio go is really helpful for tracking buses. However, I have a small suggestion: it would be more helpful if the app could provide not only the nearest schedule but also the overall estimated timetable for the buses. This feature would make it easier for users to plan ahead! Overall, though, it does a good job and is pretty reliable.
Inaccessible. I am a blind individual and it is very difficult when you call into the bus company and nobody picks up the phone. So, my bus company told me to download this app, so I did. I am a blind individual and this app is difficult to navigate With a screen reader and I am unable to select a particular route and see the times buses are picking up and when on the bus is dropping off. I do not recommend this app for anyone. In my opinion, this app needs to be shut down, reformatted, and then presented back to the public after it has gone through all its testing, does not have any bugs and is 100% accessible to blind individuals and others.
This app works 50% of the time. This app gives accurate bus information maybe 50% of the time. I often cannot get it to connect to my local transit system, and I can only get it fixed by uninstalling and reinstalling the app. When it does connect, there are ghost busses, or busses that are real and do not show up on the app. Complaints submitted in app and/or via email are never responded to, nor are they fixed. I will say, the other 50% of the time where it does work, it is accurate.
Grateful. I am so grateful that the bus driver told me about this app that is connected to their monitors on the bus! Let’s me know right when my bus will be here and where I need to get onto a different bus! Thank u
A few suggestions. I like the idea of knowing where the bus is that ur looking for, can be seen in real time. Instead of having to call and ask where it is at the moment I think there should be an option where as you can can see about how long it will take to get to a certain location along the route from the 2 stations. Instead of going to the website or calling. And the times that it will leave the stations. A few more different options in the settings also
Annoyances. It gets the job done for the most part but it is clunky to switch visible routes. It’s also impossible to tap a stop if your gps dot is on top of it. I think worst of all when you open it it displays some random part of a route—if you ask me it should show the nearest stop on one of your favorited routes. Or your nearest favorite stop
It’s great. On those days when it’s raining this app is so wonderful. I leave my office two minutes before the bus is due to arrive. It’s always on time 😘
Fantastic. This is the first app where you can see your bus in REAL TIME!!! You no longer have to sit at bus stops waiting patiently wondering where your bus is. With Passio GO you can just track it in real time. Great App a must have for any public transportation user in the United States. (Only some cities and Universities are available I hope they add more in the future)
Horrible tracking, timing, and prediction errors. My school has been using this app for about a year now, and I wish we never started. The tracking is never correct, the timing is never correct, and for the past week my school has been dealing with “prediction errors”— we are unable to tell when buses will get here or even if they will get here. This app needs major improvements.
Not as bad as I was expecting. There are a few glitches with tracking, but they’re not major. The only really bad part is that it tells you a bus in 5 minutes away when it already passed the stop. It’s 5 minutes in front of you so you couldn’t possibly use it.
Convenient. I like that we have an app to track the bus. But now I need that app to be consistent. Also CTran, maybe you should start looking into apple/google pay as a means of paying the fare
Bus disappears on map. One or two buses disappear on the map, that can be frustrating if one or them is the one your waiting for an wanting to see when it gets to your stop
Poorly made, Poorly managed, Core functionality failing. I almost have to guess those creating this app are paying for fake reviews with how poorly the app is designed. My girlfriend uses the app to get to work and around the city, she’s always used it and when she complained about the app being difficult to use my first thought was that it couldn’t be that bad and she was over stating it. I was extremely wrong, it took me about 20 minutes of trial and error to figure out how to navigate from one stop to another with a single transfer in the middle. The app constantly reset my desired destination, would give blank directions, would tell me the route wasn’t possible (only sometimes other times it would give me the correct route seemingly at random), forget one or both of my destinations needing me to re-enter them, or flat out crash. Selecting bus routes sometimes fails and give no expanded detail unless the app is force closed and reopened. I could go on and on but the point stands that this app is horribly made all I want to do is find a route from A to B within the same bus network and I can’t do that. If you’re in a position to choose an app to put your bus network on keep looking this app has problems.
Maps shows all routes. I like being able to see all the routes at once. Sometimes I turn on only certain ones. The time that the bus will be at my stop is usually very close
Almost okay. I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve nearly missed my bus or been standing at the stop for 20-30 minutes as it’s told me the bus is 3 minutes away the whole time. It’s pretty terrible at calculating time at any given moment. I had a morning where, according to the app, the bus was running a bit late (15 minutes away) and I had extra time, so I sat down to eat breakfast. I checked it a few minutes later to see where the bus was and I found that it was actively approaching my stop and the app had been tracking the bus AFTER that one. The tracking feature is really the only thing going for it since it’s hard to navigate and use. Bad design.
Buggy with a bad user interface. I wanted to use the app to plan out my travels to different destinations but I found it extremely hard to use. 1) I cannot use the arrive by feature. When I click on arrive by, the option to change the time is almost entirely hidden because the pop up window size is too small to display it. 2) The Now/Arrival By/Depart At pop up window is not designed in a user friendly way. There is no “X” button to get out of the window and it took me multiple tries to figure out I had to swipe down to exit it. When clicking one of the options a check appears next to it, but then you can’t uncheck it by clicking it, which is counterintuitive 3) After inputting a destination and hitting go, the interface makes it extremely difficult to plan the best route. It is not obvious where to click on a route to select it. At no point in the selection process can you see the route on the map and then zoom in to see if that is the route for you. Because of this, after getting on the bus, I switch to Google Maps to find the best stop to get off on. 4) The app doesn’t update as time passes, so you have to restart your search if you take too long
UofR hates its students. Don’t rely on the app to get anywhere, you’d have more luck getting to the buses by chasing them down the street. The app can’t even be consistent with the online schedule for the shuttles (the schedule they SHOULD be on), 9/10 you’ll either have to walk back from wherever they dropped you off because the shuttles and the app don’t work with each other. If by the grace of god the app can track them, it’ll even glitch and then 5min later you realize you’re stranded cause the shuttle is long gone and not coming back for you.
Just Why??. I live near NC State and downloaded this app and I will tell you that the user interface is ridiculous. For example I live at Wolfe Village Apartments. OK I want to know where my next bus is either I type it in and then I get a map. where is the other app that we used to use? It was simple to wear. It would just pinpoint the location and show me where the bus was. I’m wondering why people don’t complain or why people don’t ask NC State why this app before actually asking people if the app is user-friendly. Ridiculous I’m going back to the basic Transit app.
Awesome for live tracking. I use this app to track the live location of parta bus and it’s so helpful. Although in rare cases it doesn’t show the bus live location. I like to be there 10 minutes before the schedule time because it could either be 10 minutes early or late. But the schedule gives a good estimate of when the bus would arrive at a certain stop.
Still has some glitches. Doesn’t show all the roots and it doesn’t always show you where the bus is at like Mount Hope bus for example it disappears on the map quite a bit and it doesn’t show you where it’s at sometimes heading outbound or inbound on certain parts of the route and it just so happens to be the parts of the route that I need to see L O L so I can get to and from work every day but overall, I am very satisfied with this app! I have been saying for years that they should come up with an app like this and they finally have. I know it’s still new and you’re working out the kinks, but I just wanted to let you know of a couple of them. I have noticed. Thank you
PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS APP FOR YOUR SCHOOLS. If I could give 0 stars I so would. So I go to SCAD and some halls are far enough that you kind of have to take a bus so being able to see when the bus gets to a stop is pretty important for us students. I cannot count how many times this awful app has just totally kicked me and my friends out of the ‘agency’- our being the SCAD bus routes- and refuses to let us get back in. Its very frustrating and inconvenient for us students and we are currently working to get SCAD to split with Passio and use a different program because of these issues. Very unprofessional from Passio. Please do NOT use this program for your schools. They also always change the predicted times ?? Like- you look at it one time and it’ll say the bus is 10 minutes away and if you look two minutes later your waits jumped to 45 minutes even though no bus came and you’ve been waiting at the stop. Just a bad program that I just think needs to be shut down.
THANK YOU PASSIO. This App is beyond helpful, makes me have less worry when I’m trying the get to the bus stop or worry waiting at the bus stop thinking I could have missed the bus. Especially not being too familiar with the area and finding bus stops close in walking distance.
Not working like it used to. When I first started using this application, it worked really well. I was able to follow the buses and the lines I wanted properly. Yesterday I noticed that I could not track the bus that I wanted at all. It kept saying that it wasn’t running, but when I checked with the bus driver, she Said all lines were running, and there was no stoppage. I wish this worked better because it’s winter time and everybody is outside in the cold waiting to see if their bus is gonna show up. Please fix this application so that it works like it used to for Citylink in Lewiston Maine.
Unable to submit feedback in the app. If I just want to see a route and its corresponding bus, it's difficult. Sometimes I click on a bus and its description doesn't even match the route. I just got a feedback popup, but when I finish typing, I can't make my keyboard disappear; it covers up the send button. This makes it impossible for me to submit feedback in the app
Cat tracks Passio go. This app helps me get from one side of my college campus to another and it was really easy to tell where the bus is and when it is going to arrive
Love it!!. I’m 61 and most technology is above me, but I love this app tells me when the bus is coming. I can check the map to see how far the bus is away. I can watch the bus come up. I can tell the color which belts I need it, everything I need easily and easily is the best
Simple fixes. I love the live updates of when the busses will be next arriving but without a posted schedule of when the busses run (from what time til what time on what days) and without a list or explanation/summary of how long they take to reappear at a stop, it makes planning for your day (particularly if you’re new or not a frequent rider) extremely stressful and makes me avoid using the bus when I can
Bad Update. As many people have already written, a recent update to this app has resulted in poor quality. Schedules are no longer listed under “stops/schedules” in the menu and is instead only accessible if you tap on a shuttle that’s active with gps and then tap view schedule. ETA is no longer working properly and doesn’t provide realistic timing. I’m not sure what’s going on with the development of this app but this update is no good.
Thoughts for Improvement. Disclaimer, I think this app is great and I love it a lot. It’s great for helping me coordinate travel about campus in the college town I commute to via public bus daily. My one complaint, and it may actually be due to suboptimal communication between the app and localities, is the way buses reporting their locations can disappear entirely from the map reader. This results in it looking like a line is currently not in operation for a given time period despite that not being true. Also, if it could communicate better tie-in’s of bus routes in a city, it would make it clear where a route may temporarily transform into another route. Besides these things, I think such an app is an asset for commuters and students alike.
Eh. Useful of course and a must have app it generally gives me solid predictions but as the snow comes in I’m noticing that I want improvements. I’ve missed MANY busses with this app. Bus says it’s coming in 28 minutes as I watch it through my window pass me by. “Bus dwelling” for how long? It says it’s 1 minute away, which is not the same as “it’s coming in 1 minute” it could be 1 minute away for 20 mins and I’d be none the wiser.
Amazing but sometimes misleading. I love this app! Recommend it to all my friends who need a transportation app. I have a problem that it’s always guessing the times of arrival. I’ll click on a stop and a bus 20 stops away will pop up marked as 2 minutes away as the next arriving bus. Misleading when I’m trying to quickly jump on and have the option for something else but get mistaken because of the app being ahead.
Broken, Useless, Bot Reviews. No clue where all these bots giving five starts only in the last three months came from. The app will lie about schedules and lie about how near a bus is. Since you can’t trust it, the app is only useful if you can check it against an external bus schedule, at which point all it does is show you the bus on a map without actually providing anything you didn’t know from the schedule.

Does not show buss arrival times. Completely useless app and disappointing that my transit system transitioned to this app. It shows maps of busses and stops but when you click on the stop it does not show the arrival times of busses, rendering it completely useless. About 1/10 times it will actually list arrival times but most times it glitches and does not show the arrival times, leaving you to try and guess based on where busses currently are on the map. Super disappointing, horrible user interface with way too many unclear functions, no tech support/ user guide. Would not recommend to anyone.

Unreliable Garbage. PassioGo is extremely unreliable as times listed for buses are never accurate. Times constantly fluctuate from 1-2 minutes and then randomly spike to 10 min and then sometimes the bus goes completely off the grid. Extremely frustrating. UI is trash and app crashes so much. Bad app.
Useful. Works great for me and is super helpful for knowing when busses are coming. Sometimes glitches but nothing worse than any other app, plus my phone is old so it’s not bad.
Bug?. The app is great compared to what our transit system used before however it frequently snaps the map out of focus sometimes to a location miles away and sometimes ridiculously far away, causing me to have to scroll it back or hit the arrow to snap back just to have it do the same thing again. Nearly infuriatingly frustrating at times.
New layout/design is terrible. Loved the way the app worked before. Now, with this new design, the UI is so cluttered and it’s hard to add and change routes, the routes don’t show up half the time, and the app barely works. Plz change the design back while you work out the bugs!!
Absolute Garbage. I haven’t been able to use the bus since they switched apps. Buses always come much later than the estimated time and I can’t see a schedule for the stops to see if the bus will be places soon. The app crashes constantly. I think this is UAs attempt to lower bus use because now it’s faster to walk literally everywhere on campus than to wait for a bus.
Terrible since the update. My phone updated the app on its own and I wish it hadn’t. Ever since it downloaded it says that I’m not connected to a network in spots that the app worked perfectly prior to the update. The ui (or lack thereof now) makes the app more confusing and way less convenient. Used to be able to tap and immediately see stops and routes but now I have to go in a completely different menu to see them. The names of the stops also don’t show unless you’re zoomed in close to them. Why would they remove a feature that lets you see the name of a stop you need?
Won’t allow request.. This app seems to only be good for seeing where the buses are. I have tried requesting a ride several times and it never allows me to. It says it’s requesting but I never sends it through. Unless someone else is getting on at the exact time I am, I’m left hoping it comes by. The buses are my only mode of transportation and I’m kinda screwed half the time.
Inaccurate Timing and No Watch App. I haven't had as many issues as other reviewers seem to, my main issue is that the timing for bus arrivals is wildly inaccurate sometimes. I've watched the arrival time change from 14 minutes, to 3 minutes, back to 14, and then to 50 minutes??? Another issue I have, though I can't be too upset about, is the lack of a simplified app for Apple Watch. !!!PLEASE create an app for Apple Watch!!!
Big improvement. The concept of this app has always been good, but it did seem to have some shortfalls before. Now however it delivers on its promise. I know where the buses are and when they’ll be here.
straight up doesn't work. just straight up isn't working most of the time lol, I open it and none of the bus routes are pulling up and it says data error even though i'm logged in and my agency or whatever is turned on. But get this! even when it is working it's buggy, unreliable, and hard to use 🤩 by far one of the worst public transport apps i've had the (lack of) pleasure of using
Easy to use App. Getting the ETA of my bus was great to know when my bus would arrive! Also being able to set alarms for bus arrivals helped me not wait as long at the bus stop!
Trash. UA decided to switch to this under developed trash after using the same app for at least three years. Rider had its problems but it never told me a bus on a 15 minute loop would be at a stop in 2 hours and 17 minutes. Half the buses aren’t even on the app. Almost unusable. Update: the bus is on its way to a stop and the tracker says it is 3 hours and 17 minutes away but it’s 17 minutes from the stop right after!
Trash. My school switched to this app for whatever reason and I could not be more frustrated. It will say a bus is arriving and then 15 minutes later it shows up and that’s really fun when you’re standing outside in the rain. It will also say a bus is 6 minutes away and then there it is driving away and that is also really fun when you’re late to class. Also it’s so confusing. Not user friendly at all. There’s so many glitches these clowns need to figure it out
Won’t ever send the confirmation email. Junk app, won’t let me setup my account. It will not send the email to setup, checked junk email too. Ask to resend several times, still didn’t work. Tried to contact their tech support via the app and when it launches the message email, the address is blank.
Worst bus app I’ve ever used. I’ve used over 10 bus apps in states all over the country and this is the worst one, by a lot. It doesn’t show any bus schedules, it says no connection 90% of the time even with full bars, you can only see buses AT a certain stop (that you have to click on the map) which is idiotic, and you don’t even know the next stop. It’s also slow, stupidly designed, and practically unusable. Might as well do eenie meenie minie moe instead of use this app. If your school forces you to use Passio go, they hate their students and don’t care about them.
Worst app ever for bus service. I am perfectly connected to the internet fine as I can load other things but the app says am disconnected. Half of the time it won’t even show the bus times and if they do it’s wrong. It will say 30mins one time then another second 1min away. So inconsistent and annoying. MyStop app was so much reliable then this piece of crap. Sad my university made the change to this app such a shame.
One of those “ wish I could give a 0 star review” reviews. I really wish this app would work correctly, if you can’t make an app that works don’t put it up for download and try and sell it to schools and companies. It is absolutely ridiculous that my bus app is always missing busses (literally the busses will disappear and pop back up later) and I cannot look at a bus/schedule/interact with the app at all without it crashing. Have tried deleting and redownloading, restarting my phone, connecting to the WiFi, nothing works, because your app is so garbage please fix this and I’ll try to give it a shot if it ever gets fixed. What a piece of sh%t!
Worse than useless. This is literally the most useless, least intuitive app I’ve ever had the displeasure of using. Not only is the UI poorly designed and make no sense, it doesn’t even do the most basic functions of what it’s supposed to do, which is track the shuttles.
possibly the worst user experience i have ever had with transportation. university of rochester student here… our school switched from transloc (mid but at least usable) to passio go at the beginning of this spring semester, and it’s probably the worst experience i’ve ever had as someone who utilized public transportation. the schedules are in the last place you’d expect them to be, the buses aren’t where the app says they are (not real-time tracking), and the ETAs are wildly off- think an ETA of 15 minutes for a bus you can see is approaching.
Poorly designed and buggy. I’ve been using the passion go app since 2019 as I've used it both at my university and now for work. The ui is not set up for iPhones making the notification banners awkward and difficult to utilize. The buttons are also difficult to press as they are very small. When trying to view a stop on a route, for example, if you don't hit the exact spot, it will pull up a new menu that you can’t exit without tapping somewhere else on the screen that brings up the same menu…
Intermittent would be saying a lot.. Our local transit company began using this. I have been able to view the transit bus once. Old system still in place. 30 days of using both and this worked once. Junk. Will have nothing when old system is shut down. .
Wonderful ideas. But made the app unusable. Being able to track specific buses sounds like a great idea. Why do we have to press another button and find the bus number cause I can never find the number since there is also no organization for them. Also there not being a way for me to turn off the from right there tracker is stupid because looking around the map is helpful without information changing. Half the time it just says no connection and the other half it’s wrong. I just want to know when my bus will get there and what stops it has next. That shouldn’t be that hard.
Terrible app. The only reason I gave this app one star is because I couldn’t give it zero. This is possibly the worst app I have ever used. It is not user-friendly at all, and the timing of the busses has yet to be correct for me. It changes arrival times constantly in a random pattern and doesn’t even show you the stops each route makes. My school originally used Rider (which I originally thought was bad) but I’d much rather have it back because this is terrible.
App Has Improved. The app has gotten nicer and less buggy. More features were added it now shows three bus times instead of one. But the app is still a little buggy. Occasionally it still does get buggy. As a result I decided to change my rating from a 1 star to a 4 star.
Terrible at maps and schedules. This app I think is designed to be a live map of buses right now and nothing else. I have no use for this--I don't have a data plan, and the only stop near wifi is the end of the line, so I never know which approaching bus is mine. My institution has made the terrible decision to use this app for everything, not just the one live-map application it is actually designed for. The app is 100% useless without a network connection. I cannot look up schedules or maps while offline. (My institution used to have a very nice app that just saved all the schedules to my phone or iPad, but they stopped maintaining it when they started using Passio--which, again, does live maps and nothing else.) Passio is the only unified map of all routes my institution had. This means that I cannot plan trips in advance--their map only works during the hours the bus is running, and their schedule information is really hard to find and in any case only shows a few hours around the present. If I want to plan a trip for tomorrow or next week? Too bad, so sad.
Poor User Interface. App works fine (so far. UConn just switched to it). The UI however is so bad. App is difficult to navigate. And the map is so garish and hard to look at. If I hadn’t been at the school for a few years it would be confusing to try and understand. I think a future update that would allow users to use different maps would be helpful
Updates helped!. Since the new updates, this app has improved dramatically. Keep it up.
Oh my god this app is horrific. In my experience the info in the app (locations, estimated arrival times) are all pretty accurate. But oh my GOD the app itself is such a nightmare to use. -Navigating around the map is impossible to do without accidentally triggering some menu that you won’t be able to close intuitively. -If you accidentally press the arrow in the bottom left corner, it reorients your screen to whatever direction your phone is facing, but theres NO WAY TO TURN IT BACK. Clicking the button again will make it stop tracking your phone’s compass, but it WONT revert you back to North/South -There’s a menu showing all the routes that displays by default, but blocks part of the screen, so you’re gonna want dismiss it at first. Fair enough, but i CANNOT figure out how to pull it back up. And many many other things When I’m using this app, theres a good chance I’m in a hurry, so it’s REALLY frustrating when navigating the app is as obscenely difficult and clunky as it is. I just wanna know when the bus is coming man
Hardly deserves the star it got. My school (UA) decided to stop using the Rider app in favor of this dumpster fire. I don’t think anyone on the development team was prepared to release the app yet considering it can’t handle more than 3 min of use without crashing. Under favorites, you can only save entire routes, not specific stops, and trying to click on a single one of those routes doesn’t even seem to work. I wish I didn’t have to be this harsh but this is an embarrassing launch and it’s unfathomable how anyone thought this would be a good time to swap to this app. So many students, including myself, are going to have a significantly harder time using the school transit system.
Good app. Does what I need.. Don't know why it has such bad reviews but if you read some of it then it sounds like either people are blaming the app for their own misunderstandings or flat out lying. Loads quickly and works great. Shows me exactly where the bus is live. UI is good but could be better.
Gets the job done. This app works every time I use it. Not sure what the disgruntled comments are about since some of what they complain about is certainly not the app's fault. Not perfect, but useful!
Trash. This app is such trash, I had thought I was able to overcome its shortfalls but today was the last straw. It showed the bus to be 7 min out, so I was like I’ll head out now and just wait on the bench. Well I get out my door after grabbing my stuff (2 min) and the bus is pulling AWAY from the bus stop. Absolute trash. I can’t tell the two gold routes apart bc their color is so similar. The route times are completely inaccurate. UA should’ve never switched from the ridr app
Horrible. This app doesn’t allow me to click on anything. UA was using rider which lagged sometimes but like 95% of the time was accurate. This app never works and if I try and click on routes it exits me out of the app on WIFI and off. I don’t think this app was very well thought out because it’s awful I never know when the bus is gonna arrive because the times are all wrong. If it could give it a zero I would.
Literally unusable. The app claims that I have no connection. This is not true. I have tried literally everything: disconnecting from the wifi, reinstalling the app, rebooting my phone, nothing. Really wish my county’s bus agency didn’t switch to this app over their own proprietary app because Passio Go is a good-for-nothing piece of trash. :/ If you’re reading this because your bus agency has also just made the jump to this app - I am so sorry.
If you are military, don’t get this app. The thing constantly miscalculated the time it’ll take for buses to arrive and I get stuck having to walk all the way back across my base or other times it’ll say a bus is coming in 13 minutes so I’ll wait until it hits 0 and then it says it’s going to be 42 mins until the next bus when the first one never even came. I hate this app.
If I could give negative stars I would. This app is absolute aids. I don’t know why my school changed from our old app to track buses. Apparently this app has “better gps” but it has been accurate literally 0% of the time. Seriously it has never been accurate when the bus will arrive. The last app my school had was accurate 99% of the time and I could trust it but with this app I’d rather walk to be on the safe side.
Horrible, unorganized, messy app. Worst app I’ve ever used for a mass transit system. Controls/menu are very unclear and very disorganized. Though it shows where a bus is located it says different information for its location. Inaccurate schedules, which differ even further from the websites posted schedule, both do not depict what the bus station has posted. I’ve found the most accurate information is provided from the transit centers call center employees.
Very satisfied with this app. I am so glad I decided to give this app a chance. Though I am always resistant to change, this app really does what it says it will do. It is easy to use and provides accurate information about when my bus will arrive. Saves me lots of time getting around campus.
It’s not THAT bad. I mean it’s kinda hard to understand how it works, I know, but at least it told me at the right time when the shuttle was coming. I’m giving it 5 stars because it did what it was supposed to.
Just does not work.. Our school switched to this app without telling any of the students using it. If the app did what it advertised, then that wouldn’t be a big deal. But it doesn’t! It looks like a third grader coded the app, it is so choppy and glitchy you are lucky to even find the bus route you need. And if you find it, good luck figuring out when the bus will be at the stop you need. Over all, you’d have more luck sitting and waiting randomly at the bus stop than you would if you tried to time it.
Absolute Garbage. My university (UA) switched to this useless app from Transloc Rider, which had ZERO issues. This app is missing buses, says the bus is hours away from a stop when the bus cycles are only 30 minutes long, is missing entire routes, won’t let you favorite a stop, has a ridiculous lag in GPS tracking, and you can’t even see the bus stops unless you’ve selected a route that goes through the stop! On top of that, the app crashes constantly making you re-navigate though the clunky menus to find the stop/route again. It makes the bus system completely unusable. I’d give it 0 stars if I could. BRING BACK TRANSLOC RIDER!
Won’t even let me create an account. I’m not sure how to make this app work but I can’t even really use it because it keeps asking me to redeem my account in my email and never sends any confirmation. I’ve tried 3 different times deleting the app and retrying. I have no idea how to see the bus times and am so frustrated, all I want to do is see the bus schedule and get to class.
One of the worst apps I’ve ever used. This is the most inaccurate, glitchy app I have ever used. It is consistently inaccurate on wait times and says I have no signal even when connected to wifi. Often times it pulls up with no transit system connected and will not allow you to see anything. Worse than 1 star.
Everything is broken. Times aren't updated so you get to see the bus that's 5 min away take off as you walk up to the stop. Or, the bus is "1 min" away for 20 minutes - didn't realize this app was a time machine. And half the time if you press on a stop to see the times for next vehicles coming, the app glitches and shuts down.
Awful overall. I am a college student that relies on buses to move onto and around campus. Passio is great for finding out where a bus currently is, but is unreliable in nearly ever other respect. In my experience, Passio consistently underestimates how much time it takes to get from one place to the next. The app itself is hard to navigate- stops and routes are unorganized, making on-campus travel difficult and frustrating.
Doesn’t work. This is the most unreliable App I’ve ever downloaded to my phone. I got it so I could track the shuttle bus that goes to and from my neighborhood. It’s good to know how much of a wait it will be so I downloaded the App. Right away I noticed it didn’t work because the blue dot that tracks the vehicle never moved. This is a waste. Don’t get it!
Terrible UI and UX. Ok, I’m glad that there is SOME indication of where the busses are on the map, but I can never know the schedule of the busses, because when I try checking it, it always just exits the app. It’s incredibly frustrating because I just can’t access the schedule and it should be very simple just to display it, but it doesn’t. Fix this please. I always have to guess and check where the busses are at
One of the worst apps I’ve ever used. This app runs like the programming team is a bunch of monkeys typing on typewriters. The schedule and prediction viewing for routes has somehow become worse after the year I’ve used this app. At this point it has been more reliable for me to manually look up the bus schedule online and going off of that.
Great App. This was a great app for navigation. It made it easier and simpler to see where the routes were going and what time the bus was getting to each location.
bad UI, not reliable or intuitive, hate using it. UA switched to this app and now solely relies on this app for everything. It’s not user friendly at all and very confusing to use when you’re trying to plan a trip in advance. When you rely on transit to get you to school and work, you have to be able to plan your whole day around the routes. It just feels like the people who designed it have never had to rely on public transit. The Blackboard of public transit
