Fun fun fun. Reminds me of the best of star fox, the wit and fast paced action, along with the best of mass effect's original music. This is a great scifi adventure perfectly calibrated for a tablet device.

Really good!. An amazingly crafted "on the rails" 3D space adveture shooter... Great storyline, great voice acting, gorgeous graphics and excellent MFi controller support! A great and elegant console-like experience on mobile!

10 levels for $3? Really?. This game was fun but there were only ten levels and only about 16 upgrades. I hope this game is new and u are planning to add a lot more I'm just saying people...if u wanna waste $3 on a 1 hour gameplay game, go ahead

No IAP. Excellent controls and challenging levels. Love the lack of IAP. Looking forward to sequel or update as the game was a bit short. More level variety would be great. Something similar to the planet levels in Starfox. There seemed to be a lack of enemy variety as well. All in all a very well crafted game, you can tell the developers took a lot of care. The cheesy scifi movie references were appreciated!

Decent rails shooter. Pretty good on rails shooter. Like that there are now IAPs in it, everything is upgraded via in-game money. The graphics are good and it is easy to see what are targets versus background ships and other objects. You also get breaks in combat to make choices during the level to branch off what you want to do, in other words rail path changes. Only downfall is the voice acting is TERRIBLE and sounds like it was recorded in someones house. I think the word "John" is the new rage in the universe, may as well replace "the" for it as you hear your pilot's name at almost every line of pilot communication. Also, the random VO John gives during dogfights is really irritating. I recommend it based on price, especially if you want a quick "blow crap up" game. It is not a hard game, and the levels take about 10 minutes to get through.

Potential but....... Game has tons of potential with amazing graphics and amazing gameplay. Problem is, every time you try to open a mission the app crashes. Every time! Please fix this now! I just paid money for this game, I want it to work!

Horrible. This game is awful. I purchased it after reading the description as similar to star fox and because the graphics looked great. The only reason it gets 2 stars is for the visual effects. Gameplay is terrible. Not even in the same league as STAR FOX. I can barely steer the ship to lock on to enemies. Want my $4 back

Good game. Pretty good game all around. Story shallow and not very many upgrades for the ship. I still like it but hope they will release an update (some bugs) since I'm an upgrade-aholic.

Worth It!. The game has the on rails space fighter gameplay of the Starfox games mixed with the style and attitude of the Mass Effect franchise. The first thing the game teaches you to do is a barrel roll. Visually, the game looks really good on my Ipad 2, so I can imagine it looking even better with the retina display units. Controls are easy and responsive. Voice acting is cheesy. Fun game and worth the price.

OK, too short. This game had a lot of potential but misses the mark. Unlike Galaxy on Fire, where you have full 3 dimensional control when flying around and a very interesting set of upgradable capabilities, in this game your ship is moved along a pre-determined path and you can simply move around the screen during the fly through. I found myself just swiping all over the place and firing all three main weapons over and over again. The targeting system isn't intuitive. The story is fairly lame too. Most importantly, I finished this game in a couple hours. Not worth the money at this point.

Crashes Upon Opening iOS 17.2 iPhone 15 Pro. Seems this app is currently broken with the latest iOS versions. It’s been a while since I played it, but when it did work, I remember this game being very fun and engaging. It’s sort of an on-rails 3D space shooter much like the Starfox series. It’s pretty nostalgic for me, so hopefully we eventually get an update to fix the crashing!

Simple to control, hard to master. As all videogames should be!. This is a brilliantly made game! The game is easy to pick up but it is hard to master. The graphics are very impressive for a mobile game and while the music and the voice acting isn't the best, it is serviceable. Honestly, this is one of my favorite games to play on my phone and I have zero complaints. Excellent job, developer(s)!

Short yet sweet!. At first I was a bit upset about only having partial flight control, but after awhile I began to enjoy the charm of it; The great graphics and scenery help with that. Then I began to get REALY into it and truly enjoyed it more then I ever thought I could at 1st.. Then it was over. Great game devs!!! Wish it was longer though, it really is rather short'n'sweet.

Reviewer: learn what "retina" is. The guy that said these aren't retina graphics doesn't have a clue about game graphics. The native resolution of this game IS retina, it just doesn't use very high resolution textures. There's nothing an update can do about it, they'd need to rework all of the game's texture assets to do that. I'm just sick of people who don't know what they're talking about saying a game is not retina. The game itself is OK, aforementioned low-res textures make the game look sloppy and the action is too loose, even for an arcade shooter. The voice acting is just plain awful. I'd recommend Arc Squadron as a much better game of the same genre but it's all freemium'd out now. If you bought the original version, just go play that instead- it's much better than this in about every way- Unreal engine, tighter controls, better environments and bosses.

Great game but too short. Here's hoping the developer puts more chapters in it. I was done in an hour. Happy to see no IAP, and it is a good game. Short, but sweet. Final boss battle was a doozie though!

Meh. I was expecting a GOF type a feel from this game and was sorely disappointed when it turned out to be a fly around and shoot people aimlessly game. The story line was lacking, the voice acting was, for lack of a better term, lame, and the gameplay was insanely easy. Although the graphics aren't half bad that's the only thing this game has going for it, in my opinion. I beat the game in less then two hours. All in all, I just wasted $2. For those of you looking for a quality gaming experience, just skip it. If you happen to like shooting at stuff pointlessly then go right ahead.

It looks interesting, but.... It's a shame you can't actually play this game. Every time you try to start a game the program crashes. Very disappointing to download 500MB just to have it crash before you can play. Splash screen - 5 stars (looks very cool) Menus - 3 stars (nothing fancy, but clean) Game - 0 stars (if you can't play it, it's a zero)

Love It. Finally, a great game you can just purchase and play without all the freemium / IAP hassles. Great graphics and lets you get right into gameplay without a bunch of fuss.

It's a Linear Game. I was expecting an open-worldish game, not something like a SWTOR space mission.

It's a fun ride. Really sharp graphics and some clever dialogue make this a fun little rail shooter. I like the branching choice system, even if the effects of your choices are limited to within the level. Brought me back for a second play through. Did I mention the really sharp graphics? Don't hesitate to drop a couple bucks on this one.

Thanks for the graphics update!! Just one little flaw.. The game it's impressive. Maybe the voice acting it's not the best, and the story and career its way too short, but it's an enjoyable game. I love the 3D graphics and now with the new updated graphics, even more! Details are amazing and textures look very sharp and excellent. The only issue I have noticed, it's in some cutscenes and intense fighting and lighting areas, the frame rate tends to drop and the game lags. I have the latest iOS update and running on a new iPad Air 2. Definitely not hardware but software issue. Thank you so much developers for this gem and hopefully you will listen and fix the graphics glitch and maybe bring new levels or a totally new sequel of this game (free of IAP) in the near future. 5 stars. Recommended!!!

Great graphics- so-so gameplay. I never really felt very in control of what was happening. The graphics are beautiful, but man, the voice acting is terrible. I wanted to like this, being a fan of space shooters like Freespace, but I deleted this after a few levels. Obviously other people seem to like it. Eo

Lots of fun!. I really like this game. It only a 10 levels, but you get to choose your own adventure which changes the gameplay. So you can play it through in different ways many times. Great game. Hopefully they will add more levels and upgrades soon!

Expect more from this game. It can be a great rail shooter game, but end up ok. The choose you made doesn't change much in the game process.

Seems pretty awesome so far!. Nice work so far. Crashed at the end of a level which was frustrating, but I'm glad to have something that isn't and endless runner blocky flappy base building stupid ripoff of everything else out there. Fans of Star Fox should give it a go!

Weird language. Had same problem with language. I think it defaulted to Russian and can find way to correct.

Better than Redout Space Assault. Don’t bother with Apple Arcade or Redout, just get this game. It’s the only decent on-the-rails space shooter on iOS. You can try to find another one, but good luck.

Wonderful. Beautiful, smooth, error free, fast but rewarding upgrades, limited "grinding," excellent sense of speed and scale. A wonderful on rails space shooter. Exactly what I wanted. I hope they add more in the future because I can't get enough! Controller support is also flawless. Loved this game.

Solid game with no in-app purchases. Although the game play is nothing we haven’t seen before and the voice acting leaves much to be desired, the graphics are beautiful and the controls and gameplay are solid. The difficulty ramps up too quickly, however and when you fail an objective, you might be scratching your head as to what you could have done better. On the plus side, no in-app purchases—only in-game currency is needed to upgrade your craft. If only more developers would follow this model. A solid foundation has been built, but this game needs a few tweaks to earn 4-5 stars.

Good game, needs balance.. I like this game a lot for its graphics and overall gameplay, but there are definitely issues to solve when it comes to balance. I think that enemies in easy mode should be nerfed, as they are clearly hard to fight starting with Chameleon.

Dying. When you die or an objective is destroyed the exit button pops up where your steering and it takes you back to the menu making you have to play the whole mission again.

Amazing game keep it up. Very nice game has an amazing plot and has astonishing graphics if any one is looking for a game very exciting then this game is for you so my final rating for this game is a 10/10

Breath taking graphics. This is a great space game. The graphics is awesome. I haven't seen a space game with this level of graphics on a mobile phone until now. I beat all six levels. The game is a bit short and the story line is boring. I home there is an expansion pack or upgrade to add more level. This game reminds me of Home World. I would have give it 5 star if the game was longer.

Good idea poor result. This game was okay, but if I could go back and not pay for it, I would have. It's nice to play a game on the iphone with no in app purchases, but this game lacked personality. I had my shop fully upgraded half wY through the game. It would be nice if the experience was more customizable and each level unique. It felt like a random uncontrollable shooter for most of the game. It tried to be interesting by allowing you to pick a side to fight on but in the end I'm not sure it mattered. This game falls way short. Waste of money in my opinion at it's current state.

Could be great but isn't. Gameplay is just plain confusing. I keep failing the second mission in the middle of doing absolutely nothing. Worst of all, you don't get money to upgrade unless you complete a mission...that's game design 101-you need to be able to make money so you can upgrade and beat missions you're stuck on.

NOT retina. I am playing on my ipod 5th gen and this game does not look retina supported. Pls do something with resolution because everything looks all blurry and not clear. I dont know about the newer devices but yea, pls make it retina. Btw the game is awesome pls keep updating :)

Great game. This game is awesome and worth the money but plz add more levels and upgrades and just a few ideas more ships and online multiplayer?

Boring and ugly. Firstly, the game is an on-rails shooter, you have no control over where the ship flies just what your ship fires and who you fire at. The games does have some branching storyline but is not particularly interesting. Also the game looks bad by my eyes, I mean, look at galaxy on fire 2 hd, the game came out several years ago and looks leaps and bounds more beautiful than this game, plus you had full control of your ship and a huge world to explore. Sorry but this game is just not as good as advertised.

Frustrating. If you love games that eat you up and spit you out, get this. FINAL MISSION IS ABOUT 20X HARDER, IN MY OPINION. Extremely unforgiving.

Average.. This isn't a bad game, but it isn't spectacular either. It's an on-rails shooter with semi decent graphics (most of the time). The problem is the gameplay just isn't that fun and the voice acting is painfully bad. Whoever wrote the dialogue should probably never write anything again, because it's bad. Really bad. But, you may find it entertaining none the less.

GREAT GAME. This game is an old school style, fast pace star fighter game. Graphics are very good, fluidic controls for smooth and precise flight. You can flip the control so flight stick can be left or right. I enjoy this game. I have yet to beat level 10 but I will some day. This game has a lot of potential and I really hope the developers expand with new ships, weapons, ect... Graphics. - 8/10 Gameplay. - 8/10 Intensity. - 9/10

Good but not great. This game is fun and the graphics are beautiful. But very difficult to advance further in. Despite the developer's notes, older devices cannot run this app properly. My first generation iPad mini will not even load past the opening credits before crashing back to the springboard. Oh well...

Stellar. Fun game. I've been waiting for a 'Silpheed-esque' game on iOS. This one, although on rails, is pretty darn close. It's gorgeous, and has a fairly gripping plot line. Worth the money.

Not bad, but not good. The graphics are really good for a mobile app and the controls are pretty smooth, but the dialogue is terrible. To be honest it kinda ruins the gameplay. It would be better to just get in and play levels rather than having a story.

Could be improved,. Not bad overall, decent looking, smooth controls (super important in this type of games). Definitely suffer from some design issues though, object collision is going to happen because they can come from behind with no warning, or flip floping cameras causing disorientation and colliding with objects you were on course to avoid. A lot of enemies from behind, but no loop the loop to get around them so you need to wait until they get in front of you. Would love to see maybe some more variety of upgrades, just 2 upgrades is kinda limited. Interesting "choice" system, although the scoring system is a bit weird since the stars system isn't particularly useful when the players don't have much in ways of a objective list or briefing pre-mission. Pretty solid, love the no IAP, but it does feel a bit light.

FANTASTIC. This is one seriously cool and wicked fun game to play. This ain't a 'time waster'. You'll want time to get involved with each level. I've played each story/level multiple times as the direction can change depending on the option you choose, plus you'll do better as you back track and replay older levels as you upgrade your ships. Smokin, slick graphics, smooth controls, cool explosions, great sound with the earbuds in and best of all...NO IN-APP PURCHASES. Hats off, guys. This should be on the App Store's 'Best' list.

Totally and Completely Unplayable. Star Horizon looked really good, and I was looking forward to playing it on my phone. However the game crashes on loading every single time and is totally and completely unplayable. I have an IPhone 4s, the description clearly states that this game should work on my phone. I will remove this review of the developer returns my money.

Wow this is amazing.. I was looking for a Starfox like game on iPad and I found Star Horizon. Love it! While some of the voice acting is really cheesy, the rest is spectacular. Amazing graphics, awesome 60 fps and great controls. Works great on my iPad Air 2 :) Keep it up!

Crashes. I've tried it twice. Both times I play for a few minutes, then it crashes.

One big problem. Game is good but you can't play inverted on a controller like the moga or stratus. There is no option to change it. So down is down and up is up... Instead of up is down and down is up. Very crucial for an airplane game.

Not worth it. Game is really short and it am sit wants to be a galaxy on fire but fails miserably.

Okay. This game is okay, nice graphics and decent story. It's too short though, lacks re-playability and is extremely limited in customization. Very linear storyline despite having choices which only seem to change in-game dialog and enemy type. Final boss is extremely difficult to beat, and leaves the 6-8 mission storyline feeling incomplete and pointless. Not recommended.

Just like the rest. Most original space fighter games for iOS seem to have 1 thing in common, really bad dialog. This game is no exception. Game play is alright but pretty easy. Didn't take me long to max out my upgrades either. Okay play, terrible story/voice acting, easy.

Wow!. Decided to downgrade my original rating (which was 5 stars) since the game always crashes after the first checkpoint in the "SOS" mission. Its the one where you have to first decide to either join the rebels or stick with the Federation. I'm forced to restart this already hard mission from scratch... Also voice acting is laughable can be very weak! Otherwise I still generally like the game. I downloaded it based on the app store images; never heard of it before then. The visuals in this game are truly amazing! The graphics will blow you away - especially on an iPad Air. Many years ago I loved the visuals in X-Wing games (LucasArts) and since then have been trying to find a space sim that has that same visual impact - and this has it and more since its a modern game. I really like the massive scale of the larger vessels and planets compared to my ship. Few (no) space games ever seem to get that right. This game does! Explosions are the best in any ios game. This game marks a huge leap forward!!

Star Horizon is a Longtime Favorite of Mine. I’ve had Star Horizon for many years and I’ve played it several times. It’s one of my all-time favorite video games. I even own Star Horizon on android. A few years back I had an issue and I contacted customer support. She was very friendly and helpful and resolve my issue.

Interesting. The ship has a certain smoothness to its movement but there is no deep sense of a good battle or dogfight - gameplay is lacking.

Great space shooter with marvelous graphics. It's a great game with gorgeous graphics and music. Plot is interesting and easy to follow. Control of a starship is intuitive and the game brings a lot of fun. Great job guys!

Misleading Rating. Game is rated for violence but there is some rough language in it. I was hoping this would be suitable for my little brother, but it is not.

Feels like Starfox. So far so good. My only issue is the VO. The constant stream of John this and John that is grating. Same with "Johns" hipster banter. New VO with relevant verbiage would be welcome.
