Great App, Specific Way To Use It!. Hey everyone, I've owned a Bullseye Camera System for over a year now and can't go to the range without it anymore! I was sad to see there were any negative reviews on the App Store. From what I've read a lot of people are saying it locks up at the home screen. I had that happen the first time I ever got my system, so I called Bullseye's customer support (which is amazing by the way) and they told me you have to be connected to the camera's wifi BEFORE ever opening the app up! It also says what I just explained on the start up page of the App! So for anyone frustrated with this I hope I cleared the air, if not please call the customer support, they're great and always have helped me in my experience!

Update made App unusable.. The update to Version 4.2 completely broke the App on iPhone 6. Tried downloading and running on iPhone 11. Still won’t run. App just crashes. Been waiting for a resolution for 2 weeks. Got a new target camera and no way to use it.

The new app must be by people trying to destroy this system. This app update: Forces you to turn on locations for no reason than to steal private info for them to sell. The zoom feature is gone. Making it worthless. Show shot is not on the full view screen. The screen where show shot button is, is not just tiny, but distorted! The picture is crunched in width, stretched in height. Makes it worthless for actually viewing. The system used to show what the camera sees, now it wants to only look at one target. So where you have a bank of targets, say 4 or 5. You can only see one in a distorted view. As the morons who destroyed this app have you set only to one spot. The older app allowed you to with the movement of your finger move from target to target, and then zoom in on the one of your choice. Had this app been the app, when I bought it new, I would have returned the entire system, as it is worthless. I bought an iPad just for this system, now the size of the screen is no larger than when on my iPhone. If these idiots had half a working brain, they would make the last app version available, let the ones who THUNK the new version is good down load this junk. Only a fool would buy this statement now.

connectivity issues fixed YEAH RIGHT!. I thought that the upgrade to this app would make it better but it made it worse. The app requires you to reconfigure the target size and shape distance meters or yards every time you want to start a new session.You can’t just start a whole screen it makes you size the target. I now always have connectivity issues with the upgraded app even though the Wi-Fi signal is strong. If you have the previous version please do not upgrade it’s better than this version. Any of the developers even read these reviews please fix this app If you even care.

Ridiculous. I’ve had my camera for about five years and never had an issue with it. Now that they change the app I cannot get it to work and they never answer the phone. I don’t know if the old systems are compatible with the new app or what but I can’t get it to work. It be nice if you can get a hold of somebody I tried emailing to and they won’t answer that. Pathetic way to do business.

Newest version crashes; not backwards compatible. Version 4 is clunky; many features crash app; and, app wants to connect to phone camera not target camera!

App needs updating.. I upgraded to an iPhone 11. The app only fills part of the screen and the only features that work are live video and show shot. Please update ASAP. As it is not very useful. If you have an iPhone 11 don’t get the hardware or app until this is fixed. All worked great on my old iPhone.

Miserable software. I bought the Ammo Can LR about 2 1/2 years ago. It died and I called to see about support. No support available but they sold me a new Sniper Edition at 1/2 price. I got it a few days ago and tried to get it set up today. The camera works well and the picture is very good once I figured out how to get everything connected. The app is miserable to use. It’s not been updated for the newer systems they sell so there is no support there. The previous version 3, I think, is what I had before was much better to use than this one. I couldn’t care less about target games or social media, I’d much rather have the ability to save images to my iPad, delete the target markers and remark them when my finger is not quite right initially marking them and I certainly don’t need some voice telling me where and how much to move my reticle adjustments. I could go on but won’t. The app needs a lot of work to make it good.

Over 3 years of Ownership. Still love the system and always showing it off to those at the range. Not doing that for any personal reason but pride of ownership. The only thing I don’t like is when I don’t take it to the range. My recommendation for the ultimate package would be to link the app with a chrono app for ultimate in data sourcing that would allow us reloaders to obtain that magic bullet for each of our weapons. No complaints otherwise. This system beats any spotting scope. G-Man

CRAP. These people do not update their software, so it no longer works when systems update. I hope you didn’t buy their camera. We have a very expensive paperweight.

What happened?. I just updated my phone from 6s to XR and the app is totally different. I was able to start using it by using a photo. Now, if I don’t have bull camera, it won’t work. Don’t even know what a bull camera is.

Why change a good thing?. The original target manager was just fine. It needs to be changed back to the way it was. The update is crap and not user friendly. It doesn’t have the features I like (zoom) so When it wears out I won’t be interested in purchasing another SME product.

Poor Quality. The app crashes over and over. When it finally does work, it won’t stay connected to the camera. Such an expensive plastic Ammo can.

Warning..Do not update app.. Keep original app or even version 2 I think. My app automatically updated or I would have stopped it. Especially made useless the 600$ equipment I purchased. I’ll defiantly be calling to complain.

Need update for iPhone. Just got the bullseye cam sniper edition , and the app I downloaded doesn’t work properly on the phone - off center and can’t get app to work

New unit with no app?!. Purchased a brand new Bullseye long range unit, setup was easy then the app will not open and keeps crashing! Waste of $$$$$!

Software Review. Old version, the ammo can I bought 4-5 years ago, is excellent. The new camera works well, but software is terrible. Latest version crashes when trying to view the gallery. I don’t know what happened or why they would take a step backwards like this. I wish there was a way we could still run the original software. Who made this new trash? Obviously people that have no idea what real shooters want or need. Excellent concept though. Fix the software, and this would be excellent.

New , it works. Software needs instructions. Just got new 1 mile sniper edition. Hardware works great. No instructions at all for the software and can’t get email support. How does the two player system work and do you need the exact targets that are on the app and where to get ? Why not have instructions with the software????? Great product , confusing without instructions.

New App Version Is Worthless. The day the new app was released it made every target camera they ever sold useless. No better than a spotting scope and it takes 4 times as long to set up. They “pushed” the new version so it updated automatically. I was told that the app has bugs that are being corrected but don’t hold your breath. Mines in the closet until the app is fixed

New app is worthless. This is a wonderful app if it’s your first time ever sighting in a gun and need help. How many times does one do this? App programmers apparently are not shooters. I’ve owned the camera system for 3 years and loved it every time I’ve used it. Until you go back to what the app used to be, it will sit in the closet for a few months and then if you haven’t included the original programming, you’ll see it for sale on eBay. I’ve called and was told I wasn’t the only person to complain and they were working on a change. Well the change came out today and obviously you didn’t listen to a thing your customers want.

“ DO NOT UPDATE “. I have two of these cameras and they work GREAT with the iPad. In this latest update 4.2 they took away the “LIVE ZOOM” which is why I bought this camera. So if you like the last update 3.8 then DO NOT UPDATE! You will very upset.

App locks up on iOS 8.1. I am having issues with app locking up on iPhone 5 with the latest iOS 8.1. Otherwise, love my Bullseye Target Camera

Great system - incomplete software. There is no doubt that this is a great range aid. The tech is solid but the QA/QC leaves to be desired. My HW setup of the router and repeater was reversed and the software needs work. This iOS version of the app needs to be fixed as saving a photo of a measured target crashes the app. Recording a video also crashes the app. Screen resizing isn’t functional as running this on an iPhone X or above leaves two large black bands either side of app. Also, the app orientation is not enabled to support portrait mode. As I stated, the system and gear chosen are sound but it lacks a lot of QA/QC both with HW and SW.

Still don't work. Still locks up when starting new session. Locks up on iPad, iPhone and pc versions. Useless the way it is. Had nothing but trouble with the whole system and no support from the company.

Does not work with Spot Shot. I purchased the Spot Shot because the manufacturer said it was compatible with the most current Bullseye app. But it doesn’t pair with the Bullseye Target Manager. I called GSM/ SME, and customer service said, “Yeah, that’s a problem. We’re changing the webpage as we speak.” This app would be GREAT if it paired to GSM’s Spot Shot WiFi camera. Then I could use my spotting scope to help make real-time adjustments to my groupings!

New app is a disaster. I have owned the long range ammo can camera for several years. It did the job and the app was very basic. I use it to practice for service rifle completion. A few months ago the app on my tablet was upgraded. That was a terrible mistake. The new app is very frustrating to use. They have diminished the size of the target image that is displayed by adding useless side bar menus. Between that and the image is now even darker than it was before making it very hard to see the shots. The ability to drag the image has also been removed. It appears that whoever coded the app was not a shooter. I wish they would completely change the new app or put the old one back up for us to download. They have almost completely ruined my investment in their camera system.

Can I go back to old app. New app version is worthless can’t zoom in, can’t move image to part of target you are shooting at, screen is to small only in the middle with junk on each side. How can I go back to old version?

No longer useful!. A huge thanks to the app developer! Thanks for turning my bullseye cam into an unusable tool. I really appreciate it.

App and camera is worthless after update. This app used to work great and the recent 4.x updates have totally ruined it. The whole app seems to be focused on sight in only and lost a lot of the functions that made it great in the past. Can no longer use for multiple banks of targets like we used to at the club for everyone to view and use and can’t figure out the show shot function anymore.

Would have given 0 stars if allowed. App requires location services turned on to allow connection to camera wifi, big brother wants to know your location. Upon connection app does not allow camera to be used as I had intended, ie, as a spotting device to see hits. Must do configuration for target size, range, etc. do yourself a favor, return camera and purchase a different brand. Mine is for sale dirt cheap

Good product. Though the unit that this software works with is top of the line, the software has yet to catch up. The iPad/iPhone version still does not save a secession. Though the software is updated regularly, improvements still need to be made.

Used to work. I got my Bullseye Long range ammocam summer of 2019. It worked very well. In Feb 2020 the iOS upgrade caused the app not to function at all. I contacted customer service, who told me a new version was coming soon. After several weeks, it appeared on iTunes Store and I downloaded it. All the new version does is crash. I contacted customer service who said they were aware of the issue and yet another app update was coming. As of 27 Mar 2020, there is no functioning app for this. I’m pretty mad. This system was not cheap and without working software it’s useless.

New software terrible!. Let us go back to older software version! New software is terrible! Don’t need all the fancy scope site adjustments just need to see full target and Allie us to zoom large to see last shot!

Ok, how do I uninstall this POS?. Worked just fine for several years. Now a forced update, which I didn’t want or ask for, and it no longer finds or connects to my original Bullseye long range system. Trash! Don’t buy anything related until this is fixed properly.
