Hue Fireworks for Philips Hue App Reviews

User needs to be able to configure loop. The light effects are pretty good. The audio isn't bad. However, the random play option plays so many of the annoying sounds. Who wants bells or people cheering to pop up in otherwise good fireworks that could be left looping? The user needs to be able to uncheck sounds they don't want to hear in the random loop.

The App did not work. The countdown on New Years Eve ended before it was New Years Eve with without anything happening. Other 3rd party App's work much better. waist of money

Doesn’t work with bulbs w/o bridges. My bulbs are Bluetooth / WiFi enabled. Bought this for my daughter. It won’t detect the bulb and I guess requires a bridge? Should have said that in the descriptions.

Ball Drop Song. This would have 5 stars, but the “Good News” by Ocean Park Stand-off is gone :(

Why only eastern time zone?. It assumes the while planet is on eastern time rather than repeating every hour

Love it, please update!. This is yet again another example of a great app to show off what Phillips hue can do. Please update it to give it more effects.

Don’t waste your money. I bought all of their Hue apps and spent over $100 I have sent multiple emails and the will not respond There are no instructions either in the app or on their website Can not schedule the lights, get it to work without the app open and music playing or with several lights

Incredible app for hue!. I was scanning the App Store and saw this app had a low rating and was appalled! This is one of my favorite apps for my hue lights! This app does exactly what it says it does and it’s really cool when you do the 1000 crackers! Give this a try before you judge based on reviews. I have no idea why this has received only 2 stars!!

Where did all my lights go?. After using the first time, no bulbs show up in the list - so no more fireworks. Lame. Waste of $$$&!

Completely and Utterly Pointless. What a waste of money. This app is amusing for all of about 30 seconds.

Used to be good. Was awesome when I first got it. Even used the Halloween app to have one of the neatest houses on the trick or treat route. Now everytime I open it I have to go reconnect to the bridge.

Doesn't work, waste of money. Didn't work last night, waste of $2.

Not worth buying. You only get to use half of the app. Must pay more to get all the effects.

These Hue fireworks are great!. The app is super easy to install. It asks to connect to the Hue bridge (simple push of the bridge button), then it ready. It automatically sees all lights. Then, choose a group and start playing. Love the idea of a mood (continuous light show) or effects (5-30 seconds light show). Can't wait for New Years and syncing with Times Square!

Do Not Buy. This app is horrible does not sync with the ball drop at all it only let me preview the ball drop

Excellent app! Only one issue. Great app. Installs easy, and easy to select effects. Only issue I have is that I cannot de-select any of the moods for auto play. Otherwise, it’s perfect!

Great effects. Too many bad reviews that are bogus. Great effects for something that is a lightbulb. Those that didn’t like app didn’t know what they were doing. Developer keep up the good work.

Good effects but bulbs need to go darker. Really fun app. However it would be better if the bulb when darker better effect. So of the bulbs stay on white which brightens the room too much. If the bulbs when dark after each effect, I think it would look a lot better.

Terrible. Don't buy...I want my money back

4th of July Fireworks in My Family Room. This app did exactly what I wanted it to do... give my wife and I a 4th of July fireworks display with our color hue bulbs in our family room (since we have a newborn and couldn't go out). Bravo to the Dev who made this app. Nicely done. Simple and fun. I'll introduce this to my 2 year old son in the next couple of days and I think he'll love it. I haven't come across any bugs and the app seems stable for the 10 solid minutes that I used it.

It has potential!. The app has a great amount of potential with a bit of bug squishing and lighting tweaks. It works great, except it often "stalls" on a color, and lights stay on. It really kills the effect compared to when they fade out or shut off as intended. Fix these issues, and I'll easily give it 4 or possibly even 5 stars!

Midnight alarm. App is cool but useless without an alarm feature. Who is going to remember to hit the countdown at the right moment when they are buzzed? Not this guy. Add this feature for me to change the review to 5 stars.

Out of sync over 40 seconds. Worthless if way out of sync for New Years ball drop.

Fun. It's a cool app. But it's designed for New Year's. I was hoping for more options, such as an Independence Day option. Controls for main colors selection would be cool.

Didn't work. I bought this for the countdown. It only worked for eastern time and I'm not on eastern time so it was a waste of money. I want a refund.

Cute app. This app is alright and does what it says. I have 8 bulbs and it seems like they're slightly out of sync with the "booms and crackles" of the fireworks. I don't know if it's because of the amount of bulbs or the app. Will try it out on New Years. On other thing, there is no select to turn off the lights. Me have to double press home key and close out the app to get it to stop.

Won't open. App won't stay open

It's already next year, but I have an hour to go!. I bought this to celebrate New Years but it's already 2017 on the app and I still have 30 mins to go!! So much for the ball drop!

Major Fail. App does not work as described.

The ball drop works if you do it right. With the upcoming new year I wanted to make sure this app worked since so many people on here have reviewed it saying it didn't. Well I can confirm they just didn't know what they were doing. I tested this several times, first by using the preview button to make sure the app worked and then by actually changing my phones internal clock manually to 11:55pm dec 31 to test in “real time” the functionality. First of all... YOU HAVE TO HAVE TO APP OPEN AND ON THE BALL DROP SCREEN. I mean i figure this is obvious but a lot of people are morons... if the app isn't open and on the balldrop screen it will not work. Clearly.... But of course unless you literally live on the east coast of the USA you will need to select “local time zone”. Unless you're a weirdo and want to celebrate the wrong time zone. But lastly you MUST make sure to open the app at least 5 minutes before midnight... the animation begins at 2 minutes before midnight and if you open the app at 11:59pm on new years eve the animation will play a whole 1 minute off the countdown. In other words, it wont sync correctly. You opened it too late. If I were you, I would make sure to test this by changing your device’s internal clock to make sure everything is functioning correctly before the big countdown... if your network is off or something else isn't quite right, it will be a major let down. Test it first... then make absolutely sure you open the app 5 or 10 minutes before the countdown and make sure your phone is charged and make sure your screen wont go to sleep... it must be on and actively open. It will work, its just not idiot proof. For that i dock a star for this app not properly giving instructions... its clear people need it.

Great but.... I don't understand why a few user songs will play but most get a "can't play" message. Sync to the bridge flawless. Sync to a few songs flawless. Effects flawless. Wish this was a 5 star review, but I can't.

Cool but here's a suggestion. This is a fun app that works well the only thing I would like to see is if the light would go back to black after the fireworks go off. (Flash, change of color then back to dark) like real fireworks. Also the fire works to music needs some work also but still cool.
