Misleading. The $.99 price tag is not all you will need to pay. Once you purchase and launch app, you will be required to pay an additional $3.99 in order to be able to process requests (approve/deny). Either charge $5 for the app or indicate that in the description.

Avoid. Very buggy and unreliable. Interface is essentially the same as browser access, which for the most part works well. I don’t mind paying a developer for their work, particularly since Ombi server is open source, but this app is as unpolished as they get. Save your .99 and stick with the web.

Perfection. Amazing app.

Request on behalf is poorly implemented. The app itself has been fine over the past few years. The new ‘request on behalf of’ feature being automatic for any admin account is just incredibly dumb. Should be a separate option.

Awesome partner to Ombi. I’ve been using this since day one with my Ombi server. I also know a lot is coming for new features like mobile app request approvals. This is a great companion to Ombi to not have to always browse to your server. I use it as the admin but I do think most normal users won’t buy it they will just hit the server to make a request which is fine.

Good start, but need work.. First off, I can’t believe all the people complaining about having to pay for this app. I mean I get that having $0.99 for the app then another $3.99 to approve requests is off putting to some. Personally I am happy to pay $5 to support the dev—he is developing Ombi and the apps for it alone AFAIK and it is wonderful. I do think free for users and $5 for admins is a better pricing structure, but what do I know. Yeah the app is a little clunky—but it is also stripped down and ad-free. It won’t replace my current notification system for ombi on the go but it might someday soon.

Great App. Thank you for building this app, it really is a better experience than the mobile webpage. The one feature that I miss in the current app is the ability to search for music. Other than that it is already great!

Login Broken. Using the exact same url and logon details I verified as being correct on the web interface is not accepted for login with Ombi app... very disappointing! Do not recommend wasting money on this. iPhone XS Max iOS 13.3.1

Plex OAuth Support?. I’m using Plex OAuth support in my ombi install and I can’t seem to login to this app. Happy to change my review, but as of right now I can’t login at all. I’ve tried manually setting a password for the admin account, but it appears that with OAuth enabled, it overrides the manual password.

GREAT app!!. This is the perfect app for my home theater setup. It helps me keep track of what we all want, has a great interface, and completely integrates with my media server. I read some reviews about some bugs when the app was new, but honestly this is the best app I’ve used in a long time. I really hope it makes it to the Apple TV App Store too!!

Great app, great service. I considered buying this app a while ago but was put off by the fact that the initial price didn’t include all of the features. I randomly checked again today, and was thrilled to see that the developer has done away with the extra in-app purchase requirement. Instant buy, Ombi is a wonderful and extremely useful application, especially for those sharing a library with friends. The new interface is even better than the old one, which was already very good! Keep up the great work!

Good program. Works as designed with the back end service. I purchased the app, but am unable to approve movies from mobile version, asking me to buy other services. A little unclear. Other than that, would recommend this for any plex user.

It’s come a long way. The newest version of the app is great! I love not having to login to the desktop client every time I want to add a movie and the UI is pretty awesome. The only thing I would suggest is just to allow settings to be changed in the app, but I know that’s on the way already.

Suggestion. Would be perfect if movies and shoes had direct links to IMDb.

Unusable on iPhone X. As another user has stated before me, the URL field is inaccessible on the iPhone X and is in the menu bar which isn’t selectable. After this issue is fixed I’ll be able to evaluate the app and rate it.

Great app. This app is a great addition to my set of tools to manage media. Only thing it’s missing seems to be the music requesting like we can do on the web version if lidarr is setup

Significant Improvement. Wow, this new interface and usability now is excellent! Seriously good job with the latest improvements!

Not worth it. I had to pay to download and then you want me to pay to use the app? The app is so terribly designed it’s so close to seeming like a parody. Don’t pay for this app. Just handle everything through the browser.

Does exactly what it needs to. Good app that does exactly what it needs to. Dev is very responsive and always available to help troubleshoot.

Doesn’t work. It will not connect to my server. Useless.

This is so cool. If you have a Plex library you share with your family and want to take it to the next level. This is the app for you. Integrates well with sonarr and radarr. App has a few small issues but the added value to your server is worth the minor hiccups. Thank you for this amazing software! I see a lot of gripes how this is just the web interface in app form... so are most apps. This will give you push notifications directly to your phone when a request is made. Sure you have to pay 5$ but if you paid 100$ for Plex pass, spend the money on this cheapskate!

Usable with iPhone X. This app will not let you sign in with the iPhone X. The login screen's 3 text box's spill into the top notch, which prevents you from entering the location of your server. I have tried enabling reachability to bring the top of the screen down, but that puts the server location box inside the menu bar still preventing it from being selected. Edit: new update works with IphoneX. General layout is nice. Will use for a bit longer and update again.

This stopped working in 2 hours.. This stopped working in 2 hours. Internal server error - cant pull from radarr. Biggest headache trying to fix this using sqlite3. Can’t figure this out. Wish i didnt purchase that 3.99 upgrade feature so quickly. Feels lame to contribute to something that just doesn’t work ya know. 3 stars as its possible this gets fixed in the future. Will change to 5 when/if fixed

This app is poorly designed. Why do you even charge for such a trashy looking app? It looks like my 4 year old son used a drag and drop wysiwyg editor to build this. Rebuild it in flutter. I’ll pay double. So hard to navigate and just an eye sore.

In app features. Bought the app and it worked as expected at first. Shortly after, I couldn’t use any admin features because I had to buy in app features. I already paid!

Looks cool. Looks like it has potential but I don’t see anywhere to actually request a movie or tv show. Only information about them.

Does what it says on the tin. I have absolutely no complaints. If you run an Ombi server, or have access to one, this is the app for you.

Great Idea but...... It’s been a year and no update to improve the performance or usability issues. The mobile app costs $ but the web is free.

Fantastic app. An absolutely fantastic app for a fantastic service!

Much easier for my family.. Works well. All the functionality of the website but since it’s in app form it’s easier for my family to find and use. A little buggy/janky but gets the job done. One weird bug is when typing in the search field the text doesn’t show (must be that the text is white on a white background, just a guess). Also would love a way to easily see if a movie was requested or if available while searching instead of having to tap on the result to see if it’s pending/available.

Login Issues. Unable to login if you use Plex to login with. This makes connecting to the server and the program unusable.

Will no longer work.. Use to work just fine with my iOS. No longer will login after WEEKS of trying.

App does not work add all. I have my ombi setup perfectly I can connect and when I request for some reason it does not process my request even tho they show up on the browser side they never pull.

Music?. I love having music request on the website but are you going to add it to the mobile app?

Refund. The webpage is cropped out by my iPhone screen to the point of uselessness and I can’t figure out how to login. It automatically enters a link but I have no idea what that’s for either or why it’s not working. I tried the website as well and every other page leads to an error or won’t load. Only the instructions page can be accessed and that doesn’t address any of the issues I’m having. I’d like my 3 bucks back please.

Unable to do anything. Every single thing about this doesn’t work. Every time I try to request a movie, I get an error. Every time I try to approve a request, I get an error. Useless app. I do love Ombi though!!!

Money Grab. Been following tidusjar (Jamie) for a while. His content has always been great. This app seems completely unlike him. A mediocre paid app WITH in-app purchases. Really? This app has potential but... come on Jamie.

Not worth it. Downloaded the app, almost upgraded but after testing for few hrs it's hit and miss, logging in using web interface is pointless. Why not just use web interface since already there. I don't mind paying but the app is not worth anything

Works, but becoming a money grab. As I said, it does work but I'm getting tired of paying again and again for upgrades on an app I already purchased. I paid for the app and now I have to pay to get the upgrades to the app? If you're going to make me pay for "in-app purchases" then refund me the money I paid for the app.

On the fence about this app. Does not search or update suggestions. The web interface seems to work better for me. Does not include combined, popular or trending. Will increase/decrease review if/when it gets better/stays broke.

Not worth the money. Crappy app...you first need to buy this app. Then need to purchase special upgrades for approving requests?! Come on.. that’s ridiculous. You’re not taking another penny from me.

Flakey has all get out. Won’t consistently connect, appears to have a dependency on opening Ombi via a webpage, text is cut off, touch highlights persist after touching items. Not worth 1.99 at all..

So far so good. This allows myself and others remote access to my entertainment server. Especially makes it easy for the non-tech savvy. All around ease of use that this app provides is well worth it. My girlfriend can request stuff, without bugging me now. It will automatically be available for her on plex. Awesomeness

Poorly designed cash grab. The app really costs $5. You pay $1 for the privilege to download the app, and then another $4 to actually do anything with it. You can’t even mark requests as available without spending more money on the in-app purchase. It’s utterly ridiculous. Thing is, if the app looked better I’d pay the extra $4. Right now, the GUI is a total mess and it looks like someone’s sophomore app dev project in college, not an app that should be for sale on the App Store. Stick with the Web UI until they either A) make this app truly only $1 or B) make the GUI look presentable

Fantastic Redesign. Love the new and improved redevelopment. Everything is simplistic and works perfectly. UI design is a major improvement from the previous iteration. If a bug does arrive, a quick report and it’s fixed within a reasonable period. Would love some more IMDB integration but other than that I would highly recommend it.

Additional cost for admin??. When I purchased this I could do everything that I wanted but now I need to upgrade with an in app purchase to approve? What the hell man that unfair - what’s next, users pay to make a request?

Could be better. The UI is not great, text is not centred and buttons are not obvious. Just look at the nice UI in safari, it’s in a browser and works better than your app! Please fix the ui or just wrap the web app inside this app. I do appreciate the notifications though, thank you

Amazing!!!. This app is the answer to every server owner out there. The $5 upgrade is to help the developer out. App works just fine without it. The $1.39 is for the users and the $5 is for the server owner if they want to donate which I was more then happy to do. And yes guys... the developer is still working on upgrading the app and Ombi site. His primary focus was to make sure everything worked bug free which is most important. I’ve been using a Ombi for the last 8 months and very happy. With the app you can -Choose what the automated system downloads -Get notified when something you’re following appears on Plex/Emby with your phone. This app is very useful to people who share a server (Plex or Emby) were they can download without involving the server owner. Ombi is my most valuable app of the automated system I have running. It’s one of those things where once you have it you can’t live without it. Thanks tidusjar!

Not bad, but behind the web version.. This isn’t a bad app, could use a bit of Polish especially when compared to the web. There is a $5 upgrade option within the app it’s self, but I can’t find what features or functionality comes with the upgrade... maybe the dev can comment?

Not great. This app has not been updated in over 2 years. Ombi works perfect from my phone browser but doesn’t update from the app. Erased it and put a web shortcut on my phone. Edit New version had been released. Updates and functions as it should. Interface looks great.

Good but could be better. The App by itself accomplish the gol. However, could be better!! Adding options to see more public gave ratings like imdb or Rotten Tomatoes will be awesome.

Has potential.... Is this app still being developed? Although it has great potential, it feels like it hasn't been completed and the experience is incomplete. What are the upgrade features btw?

Repeatedly spams asking for review, doesn’t allow for IP addresses. Allow your users to use an IP Address to access Ombi. Also, extremely overpriced for the quality of the app. Allow me to set my preferred requesting options once, each request requires 3 settings be selected from a drop down.

Doesn't function?. It loaded once when setting up, then on launch only shows the app icon which it never progresses from, even with reboot ie doesn't recover from error/bad connection state? Browsing the web site is ok so it's not the server

Doesn’t Work. I try to put in my url and creds but it just spins. Then says internal error. Buyer beware, buy at your own risk. Can’t believe I paid for this thing.

A bit quirky but overall good app.. I've been using this app for quite a while now. It has it's little glitches now and then, but overall very useful for managing requests and finding movies. I love the Ombi platform itself and recommend that to anyone looking. Edit 5/2021 After the Dev has done his rewrite of this, I can say I'm blown away. The ease of use has gotten so much better, my family members who are using it love it. Even though he removed the pay portion of it, I'd still pay for the app, and will continue to send donations when I can through his donation link on the actual Ombi Server Platfrom. No Plex OAuth. Doesn’t work with Plex OAuth... Useless without that.

Poor quality money grab. This app is worse than the web interface and requires an in app purchase to gain admin features. I want my money back.

Worked for a day then stopped.. App is a work in progress so your mileage may vary. Looks great and makes Ombi much easier for the common user. Was working first day but now can no longer login. Any instances still logged in are working fine. QR scan code not working either. Once that’s working again, it’s definitely work the few $$$ here. Appreciate the work!

Can't log in. Can't even log in on my iPhone X. Top section to input URL is above notch so you cant even select it to put in URL to sign in.

Does not work. I am able to login via safari, but when I put the same IP/port and user info in the app it returns an error message.

Totally broken. Just bought the app and the login screen is broken on iPhone X. The Omni URL input is distorted on the top and I cannot even click on it.

Horrendous - using a mobile browser for the website is bad, but this is worse. Ombi asked me for a review, so here it is... The Ombi mobile app has a nearly unusable UI. Please please please do some basic user testing like giving it to your kid and asking them to perform a core function of the app e.g. request a movie. Follow some basic iOS design guidelines. Was this made with Xamarin?? Take a look at Tautulli’s app. That’s how it should be designed. I would LOVE for Siri Shortcuts to be implemented where I can approve a request. Or a widget showing a backlog of issues. And a new request notification on my watch having the option to approve or deny. But those are way down in the backlog after some basic usability improvements. Most of the main functionality you’d expect as the admin is missing; even with the extra purchase. I considered asking for a refund but felt that the ASP.NET app deserved some money so I relented. I’m still slightly annoyed at that purchase. I only use this for the push notifications to my Apple Watch. I literally have a bookmarked Ombi site on my home screen which works as a more usable and functional app that this actual app does. I’m currently using an iPhone X.

Unable to login on iPhoneX. Giving one star for now because I am unable to login on the iPhoneX. The camera/speaker cutout at the top of the iPhoneX screen overlaps the server address field and is not selectable. Also, I don’t see any text populate when typing in the username and password fields. I love that there is now an app to manage ombi and am looking forward to when these bugs are resolved so I can login and continue to test.
