Apple car play. Please, in the new update, when connecting the iPhone to Apple Car Play, access the playlists and music folders from the headunit screen.

Can’t find my music. I give it one star extra since it seems to have replaygain support. However it is not able to find my mp3s. I tried adding it as a media source but it doesn’t seem to work. I guess I am out 6 bucks.

Wow!. So here are the steps to make this app so great that separates it from others instead of the normal option of scrolling up and down and turn your equalizer off and on like most music apps you get the option to press and hold down your settings and then customizing it that also includes volume control and surround sound controls plus you get a volume control setting which is absolutely insane! You get upwards of six controls for your bass and surround sound moods I have been messing around with this app for over a month now and each time I use it I get a different setting the best part with this app that I love most is you don’t have to pay for other options in this app like you have to do with others

Great sound, frustratingly glitchy connection to NAS.. Good: Excellent sound quality and ability to tweak DSP and renderer settings. Bad: Very glitchy connecting to NAS, still does not fully update library even after many hours, and often reports “failed” when attempting to play an album. I am not able to troubleshoot adequately; every other device and app works flawlessly with my NAS setup. Maybe this app is simply choking on the size of my library (about 5800 CDs ripped to ALAC)? For me, the issues are severe enough that I probably won’t use the app routinely, a shame as the interface and sound is great. (MusicStreamer remains the king of reliable iOS UPnP streaming, at least for my large(ish) library.)

Absolute garbage waste of money. Tried to find a way to add music to my library for days but nothing worked. Tired local file transfers, FTP, anything and everything. This app is an absolute waste of money.

Best music app ever created. This app is amazing!. Better contact with developer would be great,for questions I have and just to tell him or her Thank you for making this app. One question I do have is can I transfer the files I have copied to the app via other downloads I have gained thru other services on my my iPhone to a pc. And is there a neutron program for windows pc?

Slight bug in new update. Since the last update the app has been having trouble remembering its location in a track when paused. And some brief silent periods have been occurring. Otherwise all is fine!

Great Audiophile Ap!. Love the sound quality and adjustability of this Ap! I see quite a few negative reviews on the user interface. I don’t really get that as I don’t have any issues navigating it. And it plays DSD. That alone makes it worth it for anyone looking for ultimate sound quality. The bottom line is that it’s a great audiophile app.

Non-stop crashing. This app used to be good, but lately it’s been crashing like crazy while listening to music. Could be that it doesn’t like streaming from my media server anymore or loading all my albums, which defeats the point of having paid for this app. Hopefully the developer fixes it :(

No question- best sounding player out there. I love this player. It sounds better than other player’s especially iTunes or Apple Music. I use wave or alac files. Even when out for you can pick up the quality difference. I just wish the interface worked like other apple products. It’s was too hard to use if you’re drinking or trying do while also doing something else.

Glitchy, too many bugs.. Terrible, unfinished app. There are strange noises and clicks at the beginning of tracks, which don’t happen in other players like foobar2000. The interface is unfriendly and inconvenient. It's not worth the money. I do not recommend it.

App is ok but needs a lot more refinement... I have made neutron as my default music player., but is very hard to navigate (especially with Ipad, interface looks awkward) , gesture navigation has to improve a lot.. I am not a person who wants to use all these codecs and stuff . The only reason I came here is because apple’s music app is basic and hard to navigate.. I hope the developer needs to focus on improving the UI of the app, introduce new gestures for easy navigation

My favorite music player for iOS. Others have reviewed the player; it’s great! What I love is that I can use Apple’s Files app to copy music into Neutron - I created a ‘Music’ directory in Neutron’s folder, then added that as a source. In a time when I often don’t have a computer with iTunes, being able to do add music without a computer is essential.

Incredible. Makes your music come alive!!!! Does not matter if you are listening to headphones or speakers it will blow you away.

Wow! Awesome Music Player. While the interface may not be the most intuitive, this is truly is an amazing app. I stumbled across this from a review on in-ear-monitors. This player rocks! Can't recommend this enough, if you have some patience this is a great addition to your app library to enjoy your music at a different level!

Pink Floyd DSD…. Listening to Another Brick in the Wall on Qobuz and comparing it with a DSD 128 using Neutron. There is simply no comparison. Streaming across my local network

This became my go to music app within 24 hrs of installing. Fantastic options I’ve never seen on any other iPhone or iPad Music playing app before. It recognizes Replay Gain It resamples your music to 32 bit It shows you how many MBps second are being played, How long with source sample rate and format It allows for automatic gain control Also gives you a preamp And gives you what I consider to be the best array of equalizers I’ve ever seen You can get a classic 10 band equalizer or 30 band parametric equalizer and everything in between It will play your Podcasts and let you adjust the sonics of voices I don’t remember honestly if I paid a little more I think I did because I was so rocked by what they give you for free Simply put I am taking time to write this review because the app is f’ing awesome. Bravo.

You Can’t Get Better!!! PERIOD.. You know what? I’ve had many “eq” apps downloaded on my phone. And while yes, this app may be a little rough around the edges visually, this is THE BEST APP for audiophiles. The functions are 2nd to none. PERIOD. I’ve tried all the rest….and this one comes out on top.

still missing hierarchical genre navigation. It’s a powerful music player overall, but is still missing a pretty fundamental feature: when you select a genre from the genre list, you should see a list of its artists; then when you select an artist you should see a list of their albums; then when you select an album you should see a list of its songs. As a corollary, there should be an “all artists” entry directly underneath the genre analogous to the “all songs” underneath an artist.

FINALLY A MUSIC PLAYER WITH AB feature. For those that don't know that is a feature that goes and loops whatever part of the song till however long you wanna stretch it to! That feature wasn't seen for a long time since the psp days! Thats how much i wish it was on these streaming apps but this will do just fine! I'm so impressed by how advanced this app that its basically got everything you need to make it a wholesome listening experience. The only thing is you gotta have your files downloaded but this makes it all worth it. My guy please continue to keep this app alive. It is a gemstone for me. It's like nostalgia having features like this at my fingertips on my phone no less!

Please Add Carplay Compatibility. I’ve been using this app for many years playing lossless music that I buy from Qobuz, while I really like all the flexibility & options this app gives u to curate the way ur music sounds I’m stuck with using the native Apple Music app on CarPlay & would love if u added Carplay compatibility.

Confusing application. The problem with this app is that it is not very clear how to add music to play. I am not a novice and I find this application frustrating. I have looked at the configuration and I can not add music to play.

No Interface for iPad. Just wonder if this app is available on iPadOs, why does it not adjust layout for big screen? Its old UI brings me back to iOS 2 or 3.

Worthwhile.. More features than almost every other app I’ve tried. Elegant interface. I’m happy with it. Bit of a learning curve.

Powerful, but with a confusing UI. Seems like this app can do everything I want but it takes me 20 minutes to figure out how to do anything. Pretty frustrating, though I have properly EQ’d music on iOS now which makes up for a lot.

Solid and feature filled. Well worth the cost. I don’t have to depend on streaming services whose political agendas are to make life more difficult for me and my children.

Excellent app, useful effects. I added my webradio channels, and they play fine. NOTE: use the Apple keyboard; it doesn't like 3rd party KBs like Typefinity. It cannot directly access files in other apps, but you can share them to Neutron and they're recorded in its Documents/inbox. I've tweaked the 4-band parametric EQ and it sounds good. It would be great if it could browse to a folder in Files, but that may be too difficult in iOS.

Incredible sound! Interface steep - learning curve.. I came to Neutron from the BBE Sonic Maximizer. It was no longer supported and BBE ignored any requests for help. I downloaded and setup Neutron. It took a little time to do that, as I have a truck and Bluetooth to my dash unit. The first time I played music l was floored. I believe I accessed the help forums three times. It’s a reasonable price for the best player I’ve ever seen. Thanks!

Very disappointing. The description of the application made it sound perfect for its intended use. However once it was purchased, I found out it does not work with voiceover at all. This application is completely in accessible for those that need to use voice over to navigate applications.

Love it, BUT.... Love this app. Phenomenal music player. I did have some issues with it under iOS 12, but they have all been addressed under iOS 13. It handles FLAC files amazingly on my iPhone 6s plus and on my iPad Air 2’s. And In lieu of owning a DAC, I simply hook it up to my home stereo system with a standard 3.5 mm aux out cable, and it is amazing. The quality of sound and the righteous adjustability of the EQ and all of its parameters make for quite a remarkably enjoyable experience. I cannot emphasize this enough. Once the deep curve, yet thar are warm waters, is learned, it is a pleasure to use. Love it. Thank you.

Waste of $5. This app has the worst interface on the App Store. I don’t even know if I can do what the app is supposed to be able to do, if I figure it out I might change my review, but as of now this doesn’t deserve any more than one star.

Good app. All features are fantastic, only its not modern user interface

Too sophisticated and too hard to use. The application’s controls are “click and guess” buttons. I’m still looking for a “Home” button to start over. It can’t play any music from my AirPort Extreme. It can’t play any music from an attached USB drive. I had to use the Apple Files app to copy music to Neutron. Music shows up magically when you stumble back to the library. I don’t remember how to find it again. One I connected to my wireless speakers and I couldn’t connect to my external DAC and headphone amp. Somehow I opened a link to their web site and saw the FAQs. I can’t do it again. I wish I could download a user manual!

Old COBOL programmers?. There is no interface. It’s all click and guess. When you finally do get it to load (it will only grab your iTunes library, no other folders regardless of what it says) it grabs all separate tracks, no playlists. The directions to create playlists are poor and scattered all over and much is totally obscure. I am guessing there are a great many wonderful settings for the music IF you can ever get a playlist created. You should only buy this if you are an old COBOL user. NOT Unix or Fortran but COBOL. You know who you are.

Amazing Music Player!. This is easily one of the best music players for iPhone. There is so much control for almost every aspect of your music. The cross fader is really fun and the quality of sound that this makes is incredible. The only thing thats keeping this app from being a 5 is I wish you could have more control within the queue. For example it would be really great if within the queue you could choose what gets played next and essentially build the queue as you go along. Other then that it’s a great app!

Destroys I Tunes Player. So recently ive been searching through audio equalizer apps for ios This is the best i could find so far though not a ten band equalizer. Just a music player with tons of great features like pitch control Surround and an amplifier On top of the 30 band parametric equalizer . Highly recommend. Except it may be too much for an ipad sometimes cause it lags whenever i play a new track the first time around

One of the best eq. app on itunes !. Great app, lots of different eq. bands to tweak. Well worth your time with this app and fantastic sound! Highly recommended!

Recent Update Has Bugs, Neecs Fixes. I Owned This App Aince Christmas 2016, Since Then It's Had Been Good Until This Update.. I Notice The EQ Is WAY Off, As In If I EQ 4k It Shows I EQ'd 10k, 1hz EQ's 4k. This Needs An Update To Be Fixed.

Awful. Repeatedly attempted to load music files from my iPhone to the Neutron player without success. Spent time on Neutron’s help forums where I noticed many others with the exact same problem. A wasted three hours and seven dollars. Apple needs to streamline refunding customers who unknowingly buy garbage apps on their unregulated marketplace.

Don’t get it to work. Don’t get it to work on my iPhone 13 ProMax. Not in automatic installation and not manual. Apparently there is no email support from the developer. The app doesn’t find any music I have in Apple Music or any other music files. How can I get my money back?

I like it but. I like the app, but the interface looks really really old, like ios 3 old. The best thing to do is to actually revamp the app to something more modern and appealing To use. Plus fixing the lag(freeze) that occurs every once in a while.

FLAC Support In iTunes and Neutron!. I am able to transfer and play FLAC files directly to my iPhone 7, with Neutron installed. I don't have to convert them to ALAC files anymore. Go to Summary / File Sharing in iTunes with the iPhone connected. Select Neutron then add FLAC files at will.

Worst Piece of Garbage EVER Written. How someone as utterly incompetent as the person who wrote this piece of software sewage can justify this assault on the music world is totally beyond me. It is essentially impossible to get the simplest things to work. What makes this MORON think it’s ok to make his/her customers waste hours of their time trying to figure out how to simply point the player to music files ? Hey IDIOT - ever seen a “File” menu option ? They’re used by competent programmers to allow users to actually SELECT FILES ! Or how about a simple “Share” from a desired file capability like other players. Even the lousy “VOX” app can do that ! If there was such a thing as programmer’s prison, I’d send you there for life for being too stupid to participate in society.

Does not work on IOS. Doesn’t work at all on the iPhone 13 Pro Max. They should refund money or not allow something like this in an AppStore on a platform it does not work for. Avoid, you have been warned unless you want to throw away money as many users on IOS did.

Completely unusable with VoiceOver. I am totally blind and use VoiceOver with my iPhone. With this app, I could not read a single word. I don’t know when I’ve seen a more inaccessible app. This is very disappointing and I just paid six dollars for it.

Needs UX attention. It does a decent job of indexing and playing music. Has tons of configuration options. The GUI is pretty ugly and there are no skins. You must manually change all sorts of individual settings while guessing exactly what they’ll do. The EQ destroyed the songs I tried it on, which are mostly high quality FLAC. Something must have been set wrong somewhere but where? The Good, the Bad and the Ugly... Good capabilities, Bad sound, Ugly interface

Great sound, but.... Only finds 2 songs? I have hundreds of songs (purchased) in iTunes/Dropbox! UI is very confusing, as well. Does this app play music in the Cloud? If not, it’s useless to me.

Needs help with crossfade. Currently the only music player (that I'm aware of) that has replay gain on ios. The equalizer is clunky until you get used to it. A spline option would be great. Crossfade is intermittent at best. Even with it turned off it still cuts off some tracks at 8 seconds left. Please fix Crossfade. Sound quality is very good when tweaked with the many eq options.

Runs for a few seconds and then freezes or crashes. I was able to get it to play a few high resolution songs, and then it stopped working. Have to force quit it or wait for it to crash back to the home screen. The features do look amazing and are just what I’m looking for. Unfortunately, I cannot use them.

What am awesome player. Finally an app that delivers what it promises. My iPhone never sounded so crisp and clear with hi volumes that are adjustable beyond the units limitation with no distortion or quality degradation, lot and lots of controls caters for almost any taste if you are willing to learn and patient. For the true Audiophiles 192kbps HiRes audio never sounded so crisp with an very balanced sound stage. If you are a headphone user then it's a must as the audio levels are perfectly adjustable and plenty loud a lot more than the plain iPhone particularly in a high quality headphones that takes a lot of mv to drive them properly It's defiantly worth it.

World class!!!. This would have to be the most innovative and phenomenal full featured and free music player app I have ever experienced. I have a few different music player apps on my iPad Pro but I always turn to and use this one as it has the best sound and user interface for iPad Pro and also wicked as a car music player too!

Fantastic app but. Support seems limited. Trying to find get a simple answer on output device support on iOS or lack thereof (no devices show) and nothing. Really lights up the quality of output through the 3.5mm though and gives the tuning capability to make it sound great on even the crappiest car systems.

Amazing what a sound was hidden in my old iPhone. I love good quality sound but never knew it could be pilled out of an iPhone like Neutron can do. Suddenly I found myself listening all day to old music I had not touched for years. The user interface can be daunting with so many options available. Bit with patience it became rather easy, please do not wreck it with future upgrades . As the saying goes: don’t fix it if not broken 😊

Dud. This looks good and sounds good when it works. Unfortunately that is not very often. It crashes continually and freezes the ipad often. I expected something more at this price, but I guess I was conned. You have been warned. Purchase this at your own risk.

Great App. This app plays everything I throw at it and it sounds great. My only wish currently would be for the chapters to be shown for any m4b file that is played.

Produce a User Guide. This is probably a good app. The couple of tracks I could get to play sounded good. BUT .. The UI is a disgrace unless you’re a real techhead. There is NO user guide. I’ve playlists in Apple Music that I use in my ballet classes that Neutron has found, but it will not play the tracks. If there were some way to find out how to use the app – duh! like a User Guide – I might persist. However, it seems the company can’t be bothered. You charge money, so produce a user guide and stop insulting your customers.

Broken. Latest version is broken or just doesn’t work properly with iOS 15. Most settings for Media Library doesn’t work. Sorting by disc does nothing, leaving it an absolute mess to listen to albums in order. Search doesn’t work. And have songs missing.

Great parametric eq function but. Screen rotation has serious problem on ipad air 4

There can only be one. Neutron MP is the only iOS player that can do what I need it to do without compromises or paying a ludicrous yearly payment plan. Replay gain? Check. Can read iTunes library and playlists? Check Can actually play in bit perfect mode when using my DAC? Check. Sure, the interface is kinda old skool, but the functionality is all there. As far as I'm concerned, Neutron MP is the only game in town.

Sophisticated, powerful, great sound and options.. Once configured to your taste, this is a power user / audiophiles delight. Neutron perfectly integrated with my large collection stored on a NAS with super fast playback and scrubbing and a vast array of options to boot. GUI is a bit of an overload out of the box but you can easily hide the extras you don't immediately use or need. 5/5 this is the level of sophistication everyone should strive for.

The Swiss Army knife of music players. While every other media player is focusing on simplicity this media player goes the opposite way and gives you much more in depth customisation options than any other player. It is not the most user friendly by any means, but it certainly is a very high quality player. Normalisation using Replaygain (EBU R128) can scan the entire iTunes library on your phone, produces results which I believe are better than Apple’s Soundcheck. And you can even set the target LUFS level! The equaliser can also be set to between 4-30 band parametric EQ. And other DSP effects can be incorporated to tailor the sound you’re after. If you’re after the Swiss Army knife of music players, this is it. If you don’t wish to tackle the learning curve required to utilise this app, use Apple’s Music app instead.

Reference. This is a fantastic player. Beware though as you'll have to take some time to use it properly. I have this installed on my Samsung S3 as well as IPad Air and both versions run equally well. I have started using it as my main media player for my headphone rig which includes Marantz sacd player/Dac, Beyerdynamic t1s and a tube amp (using Neutron as a digital source). I am confident that this setup could trump many rigs at multiples of the price.

Badly needs a GUI revamping!. I bought and used this features rich sound/music app for a bit but quit doing so after wrestling with the weird, dated interface. Please hire a good UI designer to make this app the masterpiece it deserves to be!

GREAT Sound quality, and plays all formats including FLAC. Neutron has more audio tuning features than any other audio app. Especially for iOS, there are so few options. Yet Neutron stands out as one of the very best. Definitely built for performance. It will take some time to learn and tweak everything, but it is worth the time to figure it out.

Needs to be fixed. Was the best music player on iOS, but the recent update started crashing and randomly pausing my music after exiting the app (using iPhone6). If the developers can fix this then it'll be the best music app on iOS again!

Still no CarPlay but still hoping. This is an amazing application with ongoing support. While other competitors have enabled CarPlay integration, this one has not yet. Still hoping for the icing on the cake.

Really ?. Can't find my music stored in a folder on my iPhone. Useless... Adding automatically only load files from system. Who wants hear ringtones ? Can't delete an entire library and it frisés all the time...

It’s back!. I’ve been enjoying Neutron since my time with BB10, but with the newest version on iOS it is not launching, but crashing. Please, resolve it! UPDATE: I reinstalled it and it’s back to great music playing! Best music player for iOS. Keep up the great work.

Best music app, bug makes it unusable. When resuming a paused song, the app plays one second of that song then automatically skips to the next one. It knocks me right out of that VIBE that particular song put me in so I have not been using the app at all. I was EXTREMELY disappointed that today's update didn't fix that, as I have been experiencing this issue since the release. Reinstalling the app did not fix. Rebooting did not fix. DFU Restore on my iPhone and starting "as new" as opposed to restoring my backup did not fix. This has happened with every iOS version since 8.0.0 and every Neutron version since release version, including today's update. The iPhone 5s on 8.1.2 is not jailbroken and was not restored from a backup but rather started as new. Also happens on my friend's iPhone 6 also. Keeping Neutron open before turning screen off as opposed to returning to homescreen then turning screen off helps my friend with his 6, but does absolutely nothing for my 5s. PLEASE fix your app.

Good App. I got a great relationship with this App I learn lots and I love using the abilities to change whatever I feel. I love how you can use to EQ the Graphical EQ sub-Fix everything! I love learning lots! Needs an update though. Every time I'm using it the screen goes dark-music cuts out. If you can do that, that'd be great!

Mixed output needed. Definitely great app! i give 4 stars instead of 5 because mixed ouput is missing! Exemple: Notification sounds should not auto stop the music that is playing!! :(

WOW! Blown away. I just bought this app today but I had to express how amazed I am with it. At first I was overwhelmed by all the buttons and settings as i've only used the stock app before this, after playing around with the app for a few hours I gotta say I never knew an iPhone could sound so good without headphones! Love it!!!

Best in my opinion. I've been using this app for at least 5 years and no regrets at all. It's very complete and if you adjust equalizer and settings accordingly then the audio quality is further enhanced. 100% recommended

The quintessential audio enthusiast app without peer. This app only keeps getting better and the developer is Very attentive to user concerns. The app doesn’t play by Apple “look and feel” conventions. Who Cares? It’s laid out logically and the overflowing cup of festures are well organized. I use it as the front-end for my prodigious (100K+ FLAC files) music library on my network server. Any serious music collector Needs this. Five Stars.

The absolute best. No other player in any other platform compares to this, I’m serious. And it gets updates very frequently with lots of new cool features. It’s also very customizable. I don’t know how many devs are behind this but if it’s not a large group, y’all talented as hell

I love this player. I took me a while to grasp the basics of this app as it's quite complex. There is more to be discovered. But the main point is that I just equired MSR7b and this app makes the world of diffrence in sound to me. How is it even possible to achieve that, comparing how poorly the Apple's own app sounds. An Audio Gem. Been working with this app for 6 years. There is a lot in there, so it takes time to get a handle on it. This is the best audio player I have used. The support from Dimitri is great! Yes, he will reply in person. EQ settings can be saved for different needs, portable speaker, patio system, house system. Totally iTunes compatible. You want this for your music.

Cannot read FLAC files. The app can read MP3 files, but when I import FLAC files, the music player cannot recognize the file and therefore unable to play it. I have tried deleting the app and download it again, but it didn’t work.

Looks amazing. I just got the app and havent used it much but it seems to be very good!

Impressive functionality. I am happy with this app. The only thing I would add is a way to zoom in on the album artwork or other images present in an album’s folder.

Playlists are not accessible.. I like this app but I cannot access my playlists now and sometimes when I open the and try to start playing a song it goes back to the song it was playing before or just crashes. The sound quality is great though.

Awesome App!. I just purchased this app because I was feed-up with not having much control over my music on both my phone and iPad. Not even a crossfade option. Com’on Apple we buy your products isn’t that enough.. do you have to have total control,with your apple music. For anyone who wants total control of their music, how it sounds, plays, fades, equalizes etc this app is a god send. Great job! Very professional, and my music has never sounded better. Thank you.

Worst App Experience Ever. So I've been looking for an app to stream lossless files over my home wifi. I have been using MediaConnect but it didn't have an equalizer function. Neutron looked to be the answer, so I paid for the app and have wasted most of the day today trying to get it to work. It's like it was created in an alternate universe; nothing makes sense and I cannot get music to play no matter what. Completely wasted my cash. Be warned.

Too bad...... I was excited to see what looked to be a good quality app to play music from a DLNA source. Seemed to work good once then started hanging to the point I had to delete and reinstall to get it to work. Now it finds seven copies of each song on my device 😩😩😩. Hoping they can fix the major issues.

Audio bliss!. I was about to give up on Apple until I found out Neutron was available for the Touch. Features: fully parametric EQ (2 peaking filters plus low and high shelves), customizable cross-feed, support for flac and ogg file formats, m3u playlists, streaming audio URL entry. Two minor shortcomings: the EQ graphical adjustment is not as intuitive as some other apps (but precise numerical values can be entered for gain, bandwidth, and frequency--the shelves use "slope" rather than Q) and a 3rd EQ peaking band would be nice. If you like visual representation of the EQ curve, my suggestion would be to find another parametric EQ for tweaking then copy the settings into Neutron, or feed the output of the iPod into a spectrum analyzer. Really, once you become experienced with a parametric EQ, 2 bands and 2 shelves is at least as versatile as a 21 band graphical EQ (provided the headphones are reasonable quality).

Best mobile media player!. This mobile media player end my long search for a mobile music solution. The OPUS support allows me to cram 10 days of music into 8 GB of space at high quality. I was also very happy this player has ReplayGain support. The only other feature I would love is support for making certain folders on FTP available offline.

Great features, VERY unfriendly user interface. Outstanding features superseding any other music player available on the marker. However, the developer tried to come up with unique non-traditional ios app (ios7/metro) design which makes this app hard to work with. Features and setting menus are all over the place and come nowhere close to the simple and intuitive design that most of the traditional apps have. In the traditional design everything is where you expect it to be , which makes the user experience great without any headaches. I wish Neutron was like that. For example, try to delete song file or add a single song to a playlist - good luck with that! You have to go thru several menus to do JUST that. Just imagine if you have 300 songs you have to organize in a playlist. Pure Headache. Now Checkout how things are done in the original ipod app, TuneShell , Oplayer - much more smooth and convenient. The whole iphone concept can be summarized in one word - SIMPLICITY. People buy the product because it is easy to learn and use. I really hope that the developers can do a facelift and optimize the app design at least a little bit.

I think I've found my hi res audio player!. I've been trying various high resolution music players. So far, I LOVE this player! Incredible, audiophile-on-an-iPhone player! iPhone 6 Plus, Neutron, Oppo HA-2 DAC/headphone amp and Sennheiser HD-600 headphones. AMAZING portable audiophile system!

Surprisingly good player. Great equalizer and numerous setup choices. Very easy access to local NAS for HI-res music files. I'm using an external DAC-headphone amp with my iPad Pro and I couldn't be happier. I hope to be able to load files from this app when IOS 11 becomes available.

My search is over!. Finally a dnla player with high quality sound! Love the replay gain & normalize feature. A display graph which u can actually see distortion happening is a big help. The list of built in dsp's & features are too long to list. The top dog of all music streamer app!

App not working. Just paid for this app and it doesn’t even work.

Good. I like it. I use it to stream lossless to my iPad from my plex server. It works much better with the power of the air 2 processor compared to my iPhone 6 plus.

High Res, DLNA, EQ & More. This app takes some work to get comfortable with (importing library through DLNA was a trial and error process) but offers outstanding sound and a quality eq once you've gotten comfortable with UI. Only app on the market that offers DLNA streaming for wireless HDD connectivity and EQ. I connect a WD Passport Wireless through DLNA over wifi and stream my entire music library on the go. Thin or compressed music can be massaged with well implemented onboard EQ. User interface isn't as nice looking as some but sound quality is top notch and it has more customization options than any app out there.

Do NOT BUY.. The app was awesome, when it was working. It crashes when loading now every single time. How do I get my money back???????

The Best Professional Player/audio rendering. After reviewing (and paying) all the professional players - the Neutron is our #1 choice. The only 32/64-bit audio rendering engine (Amazing sound quality). UI not great but includes advanced controls for music playback. Recommended for Hi-Fi/High-End audio hardware.

Nice sound but lots of bugs. The shuffle feature is completely useless as it resets the plays everytime you switch out or close the app or power off the device. I haven't managed to play more than 200 of the 1400 songs on my phone because it keeps playing the same songs over and over. There are other quirks, but this one is the biggest. The sound is a nice improvement over the built-in music player once you get the settings adjusted to your liking.

Best Featured Player Available. I feel like I've tried 50 apps to replace Apple's stock Music app. Not only is this app sound good, it has the crossfading that I've been searching for. And it's UI is very responsive. It works great getting in and out of the car as well. Well worth the money. Thanks! Appreciate the quality work!!

Does not support SMB2 (only support CIFS) for connecting to NAS. My only complaint is that SMB1/CIFS needs to be enabled at NAS to Connect to it. This is not recommended nowadays. Please add support (and default to) SMB protocol version 2.

The bar has been raised!. I love the new 10 band graphic equalizer ability! This app truly has audiophile quality audio; especially while playing lossless audio files. While I may not have teenage ears, with high quality headphones, I can tell the difference between 256k and lossless audio 95 % of the time depending on the song's dynamics and sound stage presence. This app won't corrupt your iTunes library either like the new iOS 8.4 Music app with iCloud will. The user interface is a little complex at first. After I got used to how it works, I can just taste the pure sonic delight.

Truly Amazing. FTP - amazing. You need patience to "scan" large, remote server collections but it is so worth the time. It streams any and all music files via my FTP server and the sound is phenomenal. At first I felt overwhelmed by all the options and settings but it quickly became second-nature to use. I swear, if I could get my money back from all the garbage Apple allows in it's store, I would pay $100 for Neutron. It's like a... music headquarters... I can't say enough good things, you just don't find apps like this. Please port this to Apple TV. AirPlay is fine and sounds unbelievable but please - let this be my ATV music player. I will pay for it again, to have it on my big screen.

Amazing potential, but -. Lots to say and write... However. When I used to use this app on a blackberry q10 and bb classic, the sound was incredibly superior. Really outstanding. UI was awkward but sound trumps all for me. The keypad for quick skips within a song, and shortcuts, were killer. Now on iPhone, sound is meh. The bigger problem is that the app misses hundreds of songs from my iTunes library and playlists. No matter the settings and # of refreshes. These two downgrades make the app pretty useless unfortunately. Very disappointed.

network setup fails completely on iPhone 6+. I try to set and access any one of several computers on my network with numerous folders shared with everyone and it completely fails to let me do anything at all… it can't find a single directory in any of my computers shared folders???? terrible user interface…. I have been banging around in the setting for 20 minutes and nothing in the networking will work like it should…. really bad design…. If I can't get it working before days end I am demanding my money back…..

So buggy on iPad Pro 10.5. It’s the best music play back app out there but it’s so buggy. It doesn’t work half of the times! Terrible!

Works Well but Needs Work. Neutron music player works well with playing the music and bringing out the best sound possible from wav and flac music files, but the user interface is not good. The loading of music into the app is way more complicated than it should be, and the overall usability of the app could be greatly improved. I hope that the app will be improved someday.

One of the best music player apps to date.. Note: This is not for people who have a hard time understanding the different sound settings that an advanced music player app like this would have. To my review: This app has officially turned into my go to music player for all my music listening. From the different EQ settings to being able to simulate surround sound quality, to even being able to obtain optimum music quality, this app takes the cake. No more fiddling with the car stereo's EQ. Not even the Radsone music players can compare to the quality this player can dish out. This could use up a lot of CPU so unless you have an up-to-date iOS device, keep only this app running. Recommended for advanced audiophiles.

Full Featured Player. Wow..so many things you can do with this app. Unbelievable amount of control and options. EXCELLENT audio spectrum analyzer also. Every setting is fully adjustable and the options go deep! This is the e.q./music player app I've been searching for ! Runs flawlessly on my iPad Pro.

WOW!!! This is a serious good app!. What a secret treasure I stumbled upon. VERY surprised that bonafide audiophiles aren't onto this. I will preface my view by stating that I am a novice but like my music to sound really crisp AND am very partial to songs crossfading, though that often seems too much to ask for in most apps, lolol. Anyhoo, this here gem has sooo many options that I am having lots of fun tinkering around with it, who knows, I may discover some hidden dj talent yet. Only suggestions I'd add would be to have the song title appear larger on screen and since navigating through the app is not as intuitive as it could be, work on making that easier. Overall, kudos to the developers, this appears to be quite a powerful app chockfull of features!

I love this app!. Neutron is by far and away my favorite music app. With iTunes I can drag over a folder containing an album and Neutron does the rest. It does gapless playback. It sorts the tracks correctly. If you switch to another album and come back to the original one, it even remembers your position within a song. It can play every odd format I have thrown at it. The interface is a little awkward and so there is a learning curve. Once you figure it out, it plays folders of music perfectly.

Not Great for import high res music. There's a BIG glitch when trying to import music directly into this app. Artists will show up multiple times with weird spellings. It's got some great features, but this is a show stopper for me. Contacted the developer and was told to simply FTP music into it. There are no clear instructions as to how to accomplish that. Went to the FAQ page, but absolutely nothing on iOS!!

Gets better with each update.. Awesome sound quality and control. This and Kaisertone are the best I've heard.

Better than pattent srs.. This equalizer for iphone is the best on the planet. The speaker and sounds seem sound bigger the way u can change the voice of the singer bye getting the microphone closer or away from singer is amazing. Never leave or change major sounds ur in my heart baby. I love u!!! Lets dance ps the average person is not smart to get the full nice sound the hole damm planet should use it thats why srs. My tunes pro left the market daddy came.

Most Feature Rich Audio Player. If you're going to complain about the user interface of this app, this isn't the app for you. But if you're like me, have a huge, well tagged MP3 collection, and value audio quality and key if not obscure features, this is definitely the app for you. It's allowed me to skip using iTunes to manage my music library and avoid the Apple Music app while still maintaining an ability to transfer files to the app via hard wired usb cable for super fast transfers. It also displays MP3 tagged album artwork, lyrics embedded in nonsync tags, can handle replaygain tags no problem, has great compilation options for how to group by artist or album artist tags and how to split albums and discs, dithering, frequency matching, digital output, sick! Takes a little investment in getting to know the interface, but for more large and well tagged libraries with the need for fast sub transfers and a desire to avoid iTunes library management (still need iTunes to transfer just don't need to import files to iTunes) and the Apple Music app, this is the app for you.

Cryptic. This might do an awesome job playing audio files. I wouldn’t know. Unable to import files like a modern app. This was probably designed for UNIX or something. Terrible UI/UX.

The best.. I've had this EQ on my old DROID X and I won't leave this one out of my iPhone app library, simply the best.

Sounds great but terrible UI. The app once configured sounds good but, The User Interface is so complicated and rough looking, but of course that's my opinion. However it is buggy. I can click on a playlist and it'll show just one track, and clicking on it does nothing. Other times I'll have a playlist, change to another, but it'll show the tracks from the previous playlist I was in. It does this A LOT. Other times it won't update the contents of the playlist I'm selecting no matter how many times I try. It'll show the contents of a previously selected playlist in every playlist I select. ? Also the screen movement is jerky, it quickly bounces when I attempt to move up or down.. Hope the updates keep coming'

Audiophile Must have. This app is a must have if your serious about sound. The IOS version is feature consistent with the Droid version.

One of the best player available. This app has the most advanced features out of any apps on appstore, one of the best sound quality you can get. Furthermore, the developer kept rolling out new ver for the past 5 years, truly amazing. Beware it does't have user friendly navigation but once you get used to it, this is truly a gem.
