Great arcade game. This app reduces tension.

EXTORTION. I LOVED the other versions of this game. This one charges you for everything from lives to boosts ($0.99-$4.99). You have to wait 30 minutes for each new life or pay money to continue. The levels get really hard about half way through, so you have to cough up money to get the boosts needed to pass the level. Once you have used up all the boosts, which can take as little a 2 boards, you have to (you guessed it) buy more. I have spent over $30 trying to pass some boards, and considering I have completed other versions of this game at "nightmare" difficulty, that is saying something. The only good thing about this game is some interesting twists on the older versions so I gave it a star. I told all of my friends/family who play these kinds of games about the other versions but now I'm telling them and everyone else the same thing: don't waste your time or money on this version, once it starts to get good, the creators try to milk you for everything you got!

Total Bomb. Have all the Sparkle games, am still challenged by them. Now with this one you have to constantly pay to get rid of ads and purchase power ups. The worst is the new BOMB feature. If you don't pay more $$ the game literally explodes and you lose a life. I play games for relaxation. I don't mind paying for a complete unlock. Constantly being hounded for more money on EVERY level is not relaxing. This Sparkle is a total stink BOMB. I can't delete it and get it out of my life fast enough.

Glitch. I honestly love this game, but it has happened more than once that the the game resets to the beginning when I’m at like level 130, and yeah it makes the whole experience terrible.

Trying to force users to pay. So, was a big fan of the first game. This game is quite good and I enjoy the challenge. Having said that it's super obvious the developer is trying to milk it for all it's worth. So far I seem to be getting my ads every level at this point, I assume this is because I've only lost once, shortly after the bombs feature. Many of the new features, particularly the bombs, combine with the lack of lives to make the game very difficult without paying, paying to remove the ads won't fix that. Fellow players, yes it is possible to play without paying, it's just really hard. Devs, maybe next time don't be so obviously greedy, I'd pay a one time purchase, I'm guessing many would, but I'm not paying again and again for in game stuff.

The saga continues. I love how this takes advantage of my iPhone 6 display! The game play seems a bit smoother than previous games as well. I'm looking forward to the higher-level's and don't object to paying for such a beautiful game.

Typical cash grab garbage. I have the original sparkle game for my iPhone. It works well but I figured I’d give the new version a try. Well, first I paid for some in app purchase just to remove ads. Which was fine. I don’t mind supporting developers but the newer features such as chained orbs and timed levels that can essentially only be beaten with special powers that you have to pay for is ridiculous. So, if you like pay to win or pay to play apps this is the app for you. The only way to “play” this app at later levels is to pay. No thanks. I will go back to the original.

I LOVE IT UPDATE IIT 😘. I love this game so much but it’s sad that there are still no new update on this particular epic. Even after 2 years .. why can’t it be updated like other games . Bcos i have finish the levels even acquired over 1,000 butterflies... but nothing changes ,, just repeating the same stages over and over again 😪😪

Level 25 unlock adds!. Great game BUT misleading advertising promise. Says that any purchase stop ads. So, I naively made a $1.99 purchase to stop the ads. I figure the game was worth at least that much THEN I hit level 25 only to be offered another purchase to unlock or watch more ads!

Don't waste your money!. I've been a sparkle player since its first edition. This is similar in play but, they filled it full of ads and want you pay to continue or for power-ups. Very disappointed.

Addictive. I love that I found a new Sparkle game to play. The colors are awesome. I find that as you progress to different levels the pace accelerates making it more challenging. I look forward to playing. Thank you.

Addictive but.... It's been a while since I've played so I'm a newbie again. I haven't gotten far enough to be frustrated with having to purchase anything yet so for now the 5 stars are accurate.

Pretty Much a Scam Now. The higher the levels the more it actually slows down when you try to shoot orbs. It also declares the orbs are falling when they clearly aren’t there yet. This version is designed to make you pay not only to play but to win. Epic Fail.

Money grab. Wonder why there is no new sparkle games, because they are focusing there efforts in ripping you off with trash like this. Just make a good game and let us pay for it, why this nickel and dime BS? The future of gaming is pathetic at best... stay away!

Giant step backwards. Sparkle Epic has NOTHING to recommend it. Everything is larger, so it isn't as challenging. It isn't as pretty. Worst of all, you have to unlock levels for the right to BUY power ups, and you don't have them on an ongoing basis once you buy them. You have to buy them repeatedly, which is a waste of money. After playing the original repeatedly for years, I still find some levels challenging. Just keep playing the original, and help prove that excessive greed is counterproductive.

Money grab. I played all the other Sparkle games and loved them. They are challenging, but you can beat them eventually if you figure out some good strategies. This game, in the other hand, is just an attempt to make a quick buck. The game play is not better than the other ones, except you lose immediately after the marbles touch the whole. In the other ones, you have a few seconds after that to still make it. Once you lose, you get a screen offering to play longer for .99 cents. I paid for the no ads feature, and then you have to pay constantly if you want to win. And you only have five lives; why?? Oh right, so you can buy more if you run out. Not worth it. Go with the other ones, pay for the ad removal feature and enjoy them. This is just a garbage mix of the worst features of Candy Crush and Sparkle

Great Game. I've been playing this game for years and really enjoy it. Good soundtrack to go along with it. BUT, once you make it to level 119 good luck going any further without spending some cash for level add-ons. I'm telling you it's impossible to go it without. I've been trying to pass 119 for about three years. So yeah, great game up until 119.

Changed. Used to play this game on PC back in the day so I downloaded this for the nostalgia. I made it 40 levels before giving up. It’s just so ridiculously hard it’s not fun or worth it. There are plenty of other similar games out there I’m going to try instead.

Avoid - Poor money grab. I used to be a big fan of 10tons Ltd and their beautifully polished games until this pitiful excuse of a F2P game. This game tried all kinds of begging, holding you hostage, artificially inflated difficulty to make you lose “hearts” currency faster, useless consumables, etc. It’s hard to believe that a reputable company could design something as slimy as this. If you don’t support this kind of F2P, I'd suggest you to skip this game. You’ll just be as disappointed as me and everyone else here. 10tons, you can count me out if this is the direction you’re going with your future games.

Not enjoyable!!!. When you spend days that turn into weeks trying to pass one level, that is NOT enjoyable!!! You will very easily use all of your accumulated power ups trying to get past certain levels...and still won't pass!! 3 lines at once with hardly any space before the drop hole...it's impossible without a ton of power ups!!! THUMBS DOWN!!! Creators should've stayed truer to the original Sparkle game and kept the talisman feature, at the very least!!!!!!!!

No thanks. I was excited to see a new sparkle game. I've bought their previous games and love them and still play them. I am not going to pay for boosters or to unlock levels or even to get rid of ads. I would have kept playing the game as is if they had not added the exploding level which basically forces you to spend money to finish it. Sorry this game is getting deleted.

I have an Idea. Make a tower defense version where you can place orb slingers to shoot the orbs and some orbs maybe have more health? And maybe you could make different types of slingers, I hope you like my idea btw I LOVE ALL OF THE SPARKLE GAMES!!!!

Worst Game Ever. Price to remove ads was done then windows kept popping up to buy another new power up to continue the game. There's more power ups that are needed to buy to continue the game then just the 3x Purple Flame. Game wants you to connect to Facebook for extra lives as well. No mention of a full outright price to simply unlock everything. The game leaves you guessing just how much the in app purchases are. Worst of the Sparkle series. Shame on 10 Tons Ltd for this.

Money hungry - greed rules the 10tons ltd company. I'm pretty sure that the majority of people like myself that bought the first two games of sparkle were happy to spend the money on releasing the whole game all at once instead of this pay as you go for individual power ups... I can't believe the complete change in gaming approach by this company and hope that not too many people are fooled into supporting this game marked by a greedy marketing approach that is getting to be a standard in the app world

Sparkle. Outstanding, beautiful colors and pretty music that you don’t mind listening to. Used to play this years ago, loved it then and love it now.

Need expensive in app purchases. This game is a bit out a con. After a few levels it is impossible to progress without spending a lot of money. I deleted it.

Bombs steal lives. I paid for extra lives and a bomb comes up and kills me. It’s done it several times in a row. The game is fun and challenging but I’m not going to put any more money into it if I’m not getting the full lives.

THIS GAME IS A LIFE-CHANGER.. When I first played, I thought the game was just OK. Next thing I knew, I was swept up and carried off to a another world on a different dimensional plane, and I could not put the game down. This went on for an embarrassingly long period of time. I have since gotten off of the train, but I’ll always remember the trip!

Fantastic. To give it to you straight this game plays wonderfully, it looks beautiful sounds beautiful, the controls are so simple and easy while still being effective. Played this game on PS4 that's where I fell in love with it, the app holds up just as nice as the console version!

Pay to play. The previous versions were great fun. This one is reasonable to about level 45. After that you can't progress without power ups, and those aren't free. It's got every in app purchase they can think of: pay $3 to advance levels, annoying advertising, pay for various type of power ups, etc. It's just selling out the good name of the game for pure greed. I'm deleting.

Sparkle sparkles. The whole Sparkle series is well designed, artful & engaging. All in all addictive.

money grab. I too love the sparkle series have played the last version multiple times all the way through. Originally they had a interesting game model. It kept me wanting more and I ended up buying the entire game unlocked for $4.99 and was happy to pay that because it's a very enjoyable game. Sparkle epic however is pretty disappointing. The gameplay seems a bit more challenging with the 360 turret in the middle but the constant nagging for inapps and removing ads is ridiculous. I supported these guys on the first couple versions because they had something that I thought was unique. I guess I was wrong.

Very disappointed with this. I'm a huge fan of the Sparkle games so when I heard there was a new one Sparkle Epic, I was super excited to download it. What I didn't expect was for it to be basically the same game as the previous Sparkle they just made it a free game and added in app purchases which turned me off right away! And of course since the game is free there's now ads as well. I would have preferred to have bought the game with all power ups intact and no ads. I refuse to pay .99 for each power up! That will end up costing more than the game is worth!

Ripoff. Wish I had read reviews before I paid even $.99 to unlock levels. As you advance, even though you already paid $.99, a cloud explodes--unless you pay another .$99. Pay $.99 once for this game was a mistake, if I paid again, I would just be a fool--because the demands for more increments of $.99 would just continue. Glad I have previous versions of Sparkle to play. This is an EPIC RIPOFF.

Money Grabber The Game. Seriously. Everything has a real world price on it. There's no chance of watching ads or completing daily tasks to earn back your power ups which are absolutely necessary to pass some levels because they are so ridiculously fast no matter how many 3 in a rows you get. It's made to be impossible without that cash. You're just better off getting Sparkle Unleashed or Sparkle 2. Not this crap.

WHY?. All the best games are jumping on the corporate mongrel's pay-to-play bandwagon! What other choice do we have but to play something else? What other way is there to stop this insanity? Have owned the first two PAID versions of this game (on other system) & rated them both with 5 stars. So BEWARE if you're a pay-to-play B.S. game & ASK me to rate you! Some of us have been around long enough to remember what GREAT mobile gaming was all about. This AINT it!

Adictive.. This is the only iPhone game I really play at all. Simple but challenging. Addictive and well made. And the best part NO FREAKING ADS after every level.

Sick of the constant $ grabs. Watching endless ads, pay to remove ads, still required to watch more ads or pay more. No pay, no play anymore. I want that measly $ back.

Money hungry freemium game. I remember buying sparkle and had a blast, but this is nothing compared to that one, ads every few levels, ads to unlock levels and on top of that buy power ups instead, I don't mind watching ads once in a while, but every 2-3 levels is just insane and on top of that some levels are extremely frustrating with the bomb gimmick that is an instant game over instead of multiplying the orbs

Sparkle Epic. I was excited about a new Sparkle game because I love the previous ones, but this one has many turn offs: a life system, having to purchase something to turn off the many, many ads, the constant popups, not getting much for your money if you do decide to purchase, and so on. I would so much rather pay up front for the game and not be bothered with all the distractions. So, I'm sorry, 10 Tons, but I'm deleting this one.

Force to pay by making it impossible to beat. I am very disappointed in this game. I’ve played the previous version and loved it. However, despite being a visually beautiful game, this game is designed to be unbearable without paying for in-app purchases. For instance, upon reaching Day 39 (a level in this game) the developers make it impossible to beat without assistance from special power ups that you must purchase. While they do provide the ability to earn free lives (attempts to beat the level) you must wait 25 minutes to get another attempt. Instead they should offer ads as an option to earn a free life or upgrades.

Constantly requires money. Agree with other reviews that said this could be a great Luxor replacement - the marbles look and feel the same, almost has the same gameplay (minus the amazing music, sound effects and emotion that Luxor gave you) - BUT - even after spending a little bit of money on upgrades, EVERY useful upgrade or power-up in the game is designed to run out, and therefore require you to keep purchasing a couple more to get through the next few levels. I wish we could go back to the days of simply purchasing a game at the outset at a reasonable price and getting all the features you need to enjoy the game instead of the “death of 1000 cuts” that we have today.

Addictive gameplay that gets expensive fast. The gameplay is fun and reminds me a lot of an old game called Zuma by PopCap in the early 2000s (too much maybe? It’s like a clone of that game but with a new skin). But that okay; as a fan of that game, I’m happy to be able to play it again. My biggest issue is with how high the difficulty gets on some levels. It sometimes gets so high that it would be impossible to finish without spending money on in app purchases, which isn’t fair.

Another Pay-to-win. I hate this pay-to-win gameplay. I played the original Sparkle (loved it so much) and thought this would be similar. After about 40 levels it's impossible to win without boosts/power ups and you have to pay for them. I would rather pay for a game and be able to win based on skill than download a free game and have to pay to win. Deleting this one. I'll get Sparkle 2 instead.

Don't bother trying past Level 32. Without paying, there's no point trying to complete level 33, I don't mind paying for the game upfront but not when you reach a certain level, then they deliberately make the game impossible to force you to pay. I don't like being pushed to buy for games. Worst example is this game. You coulda had it man, you coulda had it :/

One of the first games I bought for my iPad in 2010. So pleased that it's now available on iPhone too. Addictive game with the right balance between fun, easy, hard, speed, action and great graphics. You don't need to read pages of instructions to have fun. The levels change with new challenges which save the game from becoming boring. Well done!

Difficulty. Great game till day 32. Then the levels become so hard it impossible to pass without making purchases. Review the difficulty of the levels I think.

5 stars to 1 star in 10 levels. This game starts off awesome, after you pass level 20 and are encouraged to write a review ads are introduced, you can pay to remove them, which is fair, however as you continue past level 30, the game become almost impossible unless you pay to progress.

Love it. Was very impressed how well this translates into a mobile game. Really well polished, smooth controls and easy to play. Difficulty ramps up fairly abruptly though much like its PC predecessor. Awesome way to kill some time in a waiting room or between tasks on a quiet day.

Wayy too difficult. If you're into games that are nice and easy for the first 20 or so levels, then ramp up the difficultly until you can't actually play it anymore, look no further. Was fun for a bit, but you barely get a quarter of the way through before it becomes unplayably difficult.

Dean. Sparkle epic is extremely addictive and you can find yourself fast forwarding the clock on your phone to get more lives to keep playing but word of warning never connect it to Facebook you WILL regret it later!

Deleted.. Too annoying. When trying to shoot at the bottom right, it too often activates the "do you want to buy purple flame" request. This caused me to die at least five times when I was close to completing a level, so it got too frustrating. Let me buy the game outright.

Love the game but.... Love the Sparkle games! Played all the previous Sparkle series. But one thing with the game on iPhone 6 plus: the graphics is not shown in HD and is a little bit blurred. Is it just me or it's like this on iPhone 6 plus? Other than this it is all good. Would have given it 5 stars if the graphics shown in HD on iPhone 6 plus.

You pay for full version but you’re forced to watch ads. Not sure why I paid for full version. I get options to pay more money to ‘unlock’ or I can choose to watch an ad? Old Sparkle didn’t work this way. You paid for game you got full access to the game.

Ads and pay for moves. This isn't like previous Sparkle games. There's ads and you have to buy power ups to remove them. You have a limited number of moves then you either buy more or wait for them to build again like candy crush. You can't modify your slinger either. It feels like a money grab. Very disappointed. I uninstalled it. Considering that it's my favourite game series; that's saying something!

Power-up Power-Cash-Grab. I have bought and enjoyed all previous incarnations of this game and would gladly have paid $6-7 for an ad-free version with the traditional power-up/boost scheme. Hopefully this will become an option in future updates - I won't spend money on consumable in-app purchases.

Harder than other sparkle games. They designed this version for in game power ups that you must pay for. I've beat the other sparkle games but one is nothing but a money grab.

Disappointing. I love the sparkle games and was excited to try this one, nothing like the old games, if you don’t purchase things you can’t play, lots of ads ( which you can pay to get rid of) didn’t expect this from 10 tons.

Beautiful Tower Defence. Apparently this game has terrible in app purchasing, although I haven't seen it yet. Here was my original review before I heard about the incessant in game purchasing: This is a beautiful game and it does have the annoying problems most free games have, as in it doesn't pester you all the time for money. Because of this, I'll go out of my way to pay for another version in appreciation of this great game/app.

Cash Grab - Stay Away. I own ALL the other Sparkle games and love them. This one is unplayable unless you keep throwing money at it. I would have been happy to pay $5.99 for the entire game but this one keeps squeezing for cash to continue playing. Sadly I will be deleting it off my iPhone.

Fun game but.... I loved the game back in WP8 days so I downloaded and even bought items to remove ads. The problem that the levels get ridiculously hard after a while. I understand you need to make $ but buying 5 lives at a time gets very expensive considering the difficulty. I'd pay for increasing the maximum life count.

Unhappy with change to power ups. I have all other versions of this game and enjoy them immensely. Right off the bat with this one I noticed differences which have soured me on this version: - 2 Power ups are awarded the first time, after that, you must buy more. In the other versions you earned power ups regularly, you did not have to purchase them. - You'll reach a point where you cannot play further unless: you finish the (3) challenges, you pay to move on or you ask FB friends. What the heck are the challenges? I've played through, nowhere did it say challenge? Frustrating.... And again a money grab. This is a great game, the graphics, challenge and concept are great. The changes in this version versus prior versions are a disappointment.

A money grab. I have purchased some of the previous versions of this game. They are great. This one they have unfortunately crossed the line to greed. Endless in-app purchases with multiple levels impossible to complete without the purchases. I have purchased all prior versions of this game. There needs to be a simple buy game option so the game can be enjoyed. Sad when such a great game idea is boiled down to simply a cash grab.

Sparkle Epic. Unlike the other Sparkle games, this one feels like a money grab. Once you get into it a bit, there are continual pop-ups asking for more money to continue playing. More money for power ups, more money to prevent orbs falling, more money to prevent bombs going off. I am sorry I ever bought it! Too bad,all your other games were great. This one just feels greedy.

Hectic fun. It doesn't throw ads up in your face every level. It doesn't force you to buy anything. Play at your own leisure and enjoy. I own the PS4 version so I had to get this. Go ahead and try it. The touch pad controls are so simple. Good fun.

Pure $$$$ maker!!. Loved every Sparkle game until Epic. Very disappointed in overt skewing of game aimed towards making money. Not averse to paying for a good App up front; nor even some "last-minute" in game buys, but THIS? Add to that the constant "BUY" pop-ups are extremely irritating. Going back to previous versions; let me know if you all adjust the game and will try again.

Don't Bother. Earlier Sparkle versions are great games. This one, as other users have noted, nickel and dimes you constantly throughout the game. By Day 25, I've seen the same old backgrounds at least four times--there's nothing innovative here. I'm going to delete it and find something else. These people ought to be ashamed of themselves, putting this schlock out there. What a disappointment.

Eventually it's not fun anymore.. I do like the graphics, and some of the music is Tim Burton-esque, which is cool. But soon it becomes impossible to pass a level ("Day") without boosts, or lives. You need to pay for everything! Agreed with the reviewer that said this is a money grab. I loved Zuma, but this is a mere shadow.

Sparkle epic. The game is fun, but it's all about the money to continue, not fair if you already paid Sylvia Update: decided to download this game again, can you believe they are charging to remove ads, like I never paid, quite disappointing, don't download this game, it's a money raquet

Awesome Game!. The people that made this obviously put A LOT of love into! Great effects, fair play feel, and just addictive as can be! A must have!

Not actually free. It's .99 to get rid of the adds. Another .99 to buy power ups. And then the bombs start & it's yet more money to keep playing. It completely ruins the fun when you realize the game is set to .99 you out of as much as you'll keep paying until you delete in disgust.

Great as always. Once again my favorite addition hits a home run!

What a ripoff!. I own all the other Sparkle games and just love them. This game would cost you a ridiculous amount to keep playing -- what the heck are you thinking 10 tons?? Frustrating and wish I would have known beforehand what amount of money they were talking about with their "in-app purchases". Way to lose customers.

Best of all. i played Sparkle the Game years ago, it was my fav game that time, now i found Sparkle Epic, it looks like a remasterd of the first game. dont miss it.

REALLY?. I agree with everything 'EXTORTION' said in his review. This is a twisted way of making people pay to play. One star just for making the game good enough for me to regret for a split second that I will delete as soon as I finish my review. Shame on you, developers for being greedy pigs!

Great game. Good time killer and very fast pace

Kind of a bad deal. My nine year old daughter loves this game, but she has gone as far as she can go without me have to pay for levels to be unlocked. I refuse to spend any money on this version of sparkle unless it frees up all the levels and the power ups. The other sparkle games have that option.

Fun!. I like Sparkle series and have played the Sparkle Unlimited 6 times or more. I'm glad I found a new Sparkle game.

Sparkle Epic. I started playing this game a week ago and this game is great. I like the match-3 games and this game is a variety of that. The graphics are great.

Love sparkle. I loved the first sparkle and I liked the second, but this is kinda like the second one. Oh well.

No more in-app purchases!!!. Yet another game ruined by in-app purchases and ads. I loved the Sparkle games, but now there are intrusive ads and pressure to pay. How about we go back to just paying a flat fee for the app and just leave it at that? In-app purchases are the worst thing to happen to apps.

Excellent, as always. The quality of the newest Sparkle game is top notch, like the others. Lovely music, beautiful graphics, and addictive, satisfying game play.

Trying again. I got frustratingly stuck. Now I figured out finally I could start over by erasing the game. Let's see how far I get this time, without being nickeled and dimed to death.

Greedy lazy developers. Not only did they go to the horribly greedy pay to play model, they didn't even create a new game! This game is just Sparkle 2 with the ability to pay for items that you got for free in the previous games. I USED TO love this game series, Sparkle Unleashed is the BEST marble shooter EVER created. However, and I don't do this very often, I will delete this game as soon as I finish this review. Shame on you greedy (expletive).

No different than previous versions but costs for everything. What a greedy company. Sparkle 1 and 2 were great games that cost a bit. Epic is nearly identical, but you have to pay for more lives, powerups and forced to watch 30 second ads. 10 Tons has lost my business.

Addictive. Loads of fun, can't stop playing. For a free app, this one is great!

Favorite game. I get tons of iPhone games. The sparkle games are my favorite. This one is excellent as well.

How much money do they want?. I have to keep buying more and more to continue with no end in sight. And there is NOTHING epic about this. It's the same boards as Sparkle 2, which was awesome btw, but I'm done with this one.

Terrible, terrible game in the series. Same old story: publisher gets greedy and decides to make an annoying bad game where you have to pay for every little thing. You are guaranteed to be disappointed.

Awesomeness!. I've got to say this is one of the top 10 best games on the App Store. I've played hundreds of games and I always come back to Sparkle. Which ever version you play, they are all a gem. Pun intended 😉

Developers Ruined a great game. Shame on the developers of this version of sparkle. You've ruined the experience and fun of playing sparkle. I have purchased and enjoyed all your previous versions. I was excited to see hat you released another until i downloaded it.

The end of the road. As mentioned by others, they have changed to a "pay for everything" model. A candy crush money grab. I have purchased and loved the previous versions. I am often without an Internet connection and enjoyed that I could still play the game. I get that they have to make money, but this implementation has taken the fun out of the game.
