One of the all time best games.. Great story, should play if you played or gonna play RDR2. Can go Up to 60 fps on good phones. Usually good graphics are locked at 30. But gameplay is good and better than what I expected for a game like this on phone. Best thing is its offline so just need to log in once or just turn of wifi when it shows it still loads up. Great if you’re in subway or something.

Great for IPhone 12. Runs pretty stable most of time averaging about 30fps to my eye. Though the pc port is better, the controls take a bit of getting used to but the fact it can run on phones is pretty cool, and you can plug in a controller or pair one to your phone from what I’ve heard. Think it’s worth it if you don’t have a pc or the 40 bucks to drop on it, I’d say use this as a trial run to see if you’d like the game before buying it on a better platform. Just keep in mind both this version and the PC version is not a remaster or a remake. It’s a port, and it runs really well for what it is. Long live Rip Van Winkle, and his wild journey through the west!

Amazing port of RDR. I love this game so much. The gameplay is beautiful the graphics are good for being on mobile and it’s overall really optimized. Only problem being it’s quite buggy on some devices (my iPhone 11 crashes every time i’m in the loading screen) and it’s pretty expensive. Although i’d still say it’s still worth it as you can watch movies AND play well optimized games. Please continue making these.

iPad static in graphics or game freeze and crash on start. I have an iPad 8th gen with OS 26.2. All other games play well, but this one first starts with everything with static graphics on the screen. I can see the movement of the graphics, but everything is blurred by the static. I have seen a few reviews with this issue, so I know it’s not unique. There is no way for me to report this to the developer as clicking on app support here take me to the Netflix app and that app has no way to report issues. Please let us know the proper way to report this issue and work on resolution. Leave an URL to go to or steps to get to proper support.

Great game, but frustrating download loop!. I am playing this game on my iPhone 14 Pro Max. Occasionally, there are severe frame drops, which I can completely ignore because the game itself is good. However, there is a massive, frustrating issue: every time I exit the game and try to play again after an hour or two, it forces me to re-download a 3.5 +GB in-game file. I currently have 10-15 GB of free storage, so it's definitely not a low storage issue. To make matters worse, if my network switches (e.g., from one Wi-Fi to another, or from Wi-Fi to mobile data) during the update, the entire download gets deleted and restarts from 0%. Having to download 3.5 GB every single time I want to play is a terrible user experience. Developers, please fix this exhausting download loop bug as soon as possible!

It doesn’t work. I have this issue where my screen just look static with green and purple squares in all the screen and it doesn’t work, I heard the music of the intro but I cannot see anything on the screen because it doesn’t work, I’m afraid of my cellphone not being compatible with the game because I was so excited to see it came in mobile devices and I was dreaming of playing this masterpiece on my phone, I hope it’s just a glitch or a game problem that you guys can fix, I would love to receive an answer and some help!!

Nice work creators!. I give a huge thumbs up to the graphics and ease of play. It’s very much like the PS version I played when it first came out and I wasn’t expecting that. I figured I’d see and would delete it shortly after but it has definitely exceeded my expectations! If you liked the PS version I’m sure you’ll enjoy this pocket version! Even got the kiddo interested and she’s been alternating with me. I do the killing of the bad guys but she likes to ride the horse and interact with the store owners and such!! So I’ll say again….Nice work creators! Keep up the hard work and I’ll keep playing!

The BEST shooter game of all time. I love Red Dead Redemption. It’s one of my all time favorites and the fact that I can play it for free while needing a Netflix subscription is GREAT. I also appreciate how Undead Nightmare is included as it would make the game more enjoyable. But the game doesn’t have multiplayer, which is unfortunate as the paid version also doesn’t have multiplayer, so if there would be a way to add multiplayer that would be great

Unplayable pixels?. Only gave 5 stars so ppl will see this!!! The game is completely unplayable. I see nothing but different colored boxes of pixels . Only thing that works is the audio. I downloaded it through Netflix first, then I deleted it and redownloaded from the App Store and it was the same. I’ve never had any issues with my iPad or any other game I have ever downloaded so I am very confused and sad I was looking forward to playing undead nightmare again… I hope this can get updated or patched, what a bummer…

Good luck seeing anything... Has anyone actually played the game on iPhone? You can barely see what you’re shooting at.… this is not an eyesight issue. On a pro max screen and you can’t see anything because everything and everyone just blends into the background scenery. Everyone wants a game like this on a phone, and the developers did a great job but this is the absolute worst way to play this game… Enjoy your eye-strain and new prescription glasses after trying to spot enemies in the distance…. Needs a controller and a magnifying glass for iPhone users.

Has some visual bugs, but nothing too gamebreaking. The game is surprisingly smooth , but there are the ocasional visual bugs, like buildings turning invisible, or faces turning hexagonical, but nothing too gamebreaking from my experience, also people say it is expensive, but i argue it isn’t because you can also download more games, and a streaming service, so id say it is a fair amount if money to pay, if i could give it 4.5 i would

A Technical Disgrace: M3 Chip Ignored While M1 Gets Priority. I am writing this as a frustrated owner of the new iPad Air M3 (11-inch). It is 2026, and I am witnessing a total lack of competence regarding device optimization. Here is the bitter truth: The older iPad Air M1 model (two generations behind) currently has the 'Performance Mode' toggle for 60 FPS. However, my much more powerful M3 chip is artificially locked at 30 FPS with no graphics options available. The recent 3.7 GB update was just a 'cosmetic' fix. While you improved the character models and lighting, you completely ignored the frame rate lock for the M3 series. You are essentially putting a speed limiter on a supercar. This isn't a hardware limitation; it's a 'whitelist' failure and a lack of respect for your users who invest in the latest technology. Stop giving us automated bot responses like 'We are working on it'. We know the M3 is more than capable of 60 FPS if you simply allow it. Fix the device identification bug and unlock the M3's potential immediately. Don't punish us for not buying the 'Pro' model when our hardware is already overkill for this game.

Stopped working. I don’t know if Netflix did some kind of update but every time I try to play it tells me I have to download 3.73 gigs. Then after it hits 99% it tells me I have to free up space. I have 55 gigs of free space. I have off loaded the game, uninstalled and reinstalled the game and the Netflix app to no avail. I’m on iPhone 15 pro max with iOS 26.5. I have asked ChatGPT and perplexity given them my settings. They insist that the problem most likely is on the Netflix side. Would like to be able to play the game again. Unfortunately have to give 1 star rating until fixed. Thank you for the stock answer however I’ve already been to the “in game support” and it is no help.

It’s literally broken. When i downloaded the game and opened it, the credits when you first open the game looked like static, like on a tv screen. The main problem was that it keep crashing my ipad, but I realized that i did not have enough storage so i freed up some and the game wouldn’t crash but it still looked static and then when the credits ended it took me to another menu but with more static i’m not sure if it’s a game problem or a device problem if it’s a game problem i hope you can fix it, Thank you.

Amazing game, it just needs a rdr2. This game is very fun and it’s not very hard to shoot, I just wish it was like red redemption two and maybe Netflix could get licensing or something like that for they can make a red dead, red redemption, two Netflix version, in red, dead, red redemption, you can customize your character and your land and your horse and there’s so much fun stuff that you can do and I wish that maybe they could update the game for it could be like two because two is just so cool and I wanna play so bad

Static/blurry screen while installing. Has anyone else experienced blurry screen while installing? I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled several times and every time it’s the same thing, can’t read the text or really see the load bar and pink colors flash. When the game finishes I can hear when I move up, down (I use a game pad) but the screen is all pink and impossible to play. Don’t know if this has anything to do with it but it’s through my Netflix subscription. Oh and I’m on an 8th gen iPad but it says it’s compatible

Below are the improvements needed. Texture quality, edge noise & shimmering fixes, noticeable robotic audio quality fixes, performance improvements, beginning train scene speed fixes at the start of the game (train goes much faster than the console version), effects improvements, and color enhancements. These will make this mobile version of the game so much better! Please include these improvements in future updates. Thank you for your hard work in the Netflix Gaming Industry. I’ve noticed more problems. 1. Draw distance popin and popout + rendering issues, 2. Headless skinned animal carcasses, 3. Less raytracing shadows from streetlights, 4. Audio completely muting automatically after playing the game for a certain amount of time per session, 5. Noisy image and jagged edges + grainy areas in open wilderness and towns, and 6. NPC doesn’t inspect their hunted animal carcasses.

Howdy Pardner, Great game but…. I want to first state that this game is GREAT. And the port even better, control support, smooth Graphics. Feels like everything should be fine until we run with my biggest design problem and that is the fact that the game needs you to constantly have free space and a internet connection to play and I find that as A… bit of a rock in the boot, not only bc I need a good internet connection which I don’t have but also having at least 7GB of storage always free on the go for the download is not feasible for me. I could have 3-4 games to entertain myself, even without internet. so yeah… I’m taking this rock of my boot for a bit. At least until Rockstar decides to remove this feature or if I change to a new phone with more storage. (I find the second option more likely to happen but who knows)

Controls. I like the mobile version of the game, but it has one issue. The controls I found were hard to use as there were so many small buttons on one small screen. Also, the aiming was challenging too. This is reasonable, however, as a PC game usually uses a lot of controls, and I could see how it would be hard to incorporate those on one small screen. To be honest, I don’t have the PC version as I’m praying for a huge sale on the game during Easter.

Can’t login with my account into the game. I bought a Netflix account just for this game the account works perfectly on the Netflix app but when i open the game it says that i have to log in with a account and when i write my email and password it says that the password is wrong and i tried another account with the right password and also the same issue II really hope yall fix this problem

Simply amazing. Honestly, I never thought I’d see the day when I could play a game like Red Dead Redemption on my iPhone and have it be such an amazing experience. I’m using a Backbone pro controller with my iPhone and it’s just seamless, It runs incredibly well, very well optimized. The controller customization works great just when I was about to cancel my Netflix they dropped this banger for gaming well done Netflix gaming development team!

A once beautiful game falls flat. If you have not played Red Dead Redemption (1) before, please do yourself a favor and experience it on literally any other platform besides mobile. Red Dead Redemption blew many people away when it was first released in 2010 for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, and this fantastic story was recently re-released on current consoles and PC. This is a strange game to port to mobile, and it clearly shows. The sluggish tap controls ruin any potential immersion and enjoyment, and although there is gamepad support, it doesn’t seem properly implemented. Extremely low sensitivity, lack of vibration functionality and unstable audio are a fraction of issues present in this port. Visually, the game is almost as stunning as it ever was, with few qualms in this aspect, besides low view distance (to be expected on mobile) Simply put, the touch controls just do not work for this game. They do not provide the slightest amount of speed, accuracy, accessibility and ease required for an action game, and even the lightest firefights are next-to-impossible to navigate. A pack of wild dogs spells a bad afternoon, and I don’t even want to imagine what a cougar might do to you before you can input a reaction/brace yourself. Gamepad sensitivity is laughably low, even at the highest setting. Whether on Bluetooth or wired, gamepads such as Sony’s DualSense remove audio from the game. Combined with lack of vibration support, using a controller is not feasible. One thing I appreciate is the inclusion of correct controller glyphs, which is a nice change of pace. The game loads fast, looks great and requires little storage space, but falls flat on its face in terms of actual gameplay/controls. TLDR; Terrible controls ruin the game

Just took 15 year to get it on mobile. Playing Red Dead Redemption on my iPhone 17 Pro Max feels surreal after 15 years, it finally made it to mobile, and it runs beautifully. Smooth performance, great visuals, and surprisingly low battery drain for a game this big. But there’s one thing that still worries me: the difference between the Netflix version and the standalone purchase. There’s no clear info on whether your save data will transfer if you switch versions later. I also don’t see any cloud save option, so what happens if I delete the game or Netflix removes it from the catalog and I change to the paid version? And the achievements… do they stay locked to the Netflix version? Will they automatically unlock again (or transfer) if I move to the paid version in the future? That part really needs clarification. Overall, amazing mobile port. I just hope progression and achievements don’t get stuck in one version forever.

This game fellers was so good! Just because me and probably everyone else that loves the red dead series can now play it from their pockets. Rockstar for this game I feel like you DEFINITELY DEFINITELY OF COURSEABLY DESERVE that name. You guys are rockstars! This game had great graphics and pretty much everything the original wonderful game had! But just for mobile gaming. I’ve been waiting for this game or any rockstar games to come to mobile because my Xbox isn’t really working too well right now and I haven’t played Red Dead in a while. This game remind me of when I first got this game and how good I thought it was before I ever got my hands on the beautiful game of rdr2! And this is crazy how your team got the same feel and graphics and interactive storyline and the awesome voice lines and crazy fights and brawls into this one mobile game! 5 STAR AND AMAZING NOSTALGIA FROM THE SERIES START! Just so happy that you all were able to make sure this game wasn’t forgotten. Arthur would have been honored if he saw this today. And I’m speechless with the gaming performance here great job fellers. It’s the controls. I really enjoy open world concept. Graphics are great. But… the controls are close together. I have accidentally shot more innocent people than bad guys in gun fights. That brings down your honor and stats; it eventually affects the game play. It can be hard to move and look around. Otherwise 5 stars, layout and difficulty manipulating seems like it was foreseeable, gotta knock off a star for kinda just letting these awkward controls go as - good enough - and bringing down an otherwise 5 star game.

Unacceptable issue. I downloaded yesterday and played for maybe 15 minutes. When I came back today it had to download the 3.74 gigs after I opened the app again. I waited and after that nonsense it picked up my game where I left off. I played for a few minutes then closed the app and opened it again to make sure this download business didn’t happen every time, then closed it again and went to take care of something else. I come back only a few hours later and it wants me to download AGAIN! I’m not putting up with a 10 minute load time every time because you don’t know how to fix bugs, allocate space, or display error messages properly.

Too expensive but very good.. I wanted to buy this game outright, rather than get the version from Netflix. But at $40, that’s a bit too expensive for a mobile game, even with my monthly gaming budget. This is the full game, don’t get me wrong. It’s very smooth and looks great. Controller support is a massive bonus. I’d like to see further graphic customization options included before I spend the whopping $40 on this game. Preferably, I’d like the price to drop by $10 and I’d buy it on the spot.

Not suited to mobile, or maybe not well-designed. It doesn’t feel like this is a game that “wanted” to be ported to mobile. I’m most of the way through it now, but since I started playing, I’ve had the hardest time actually getting the game to allow me to play. I’m often told there’s not enough space on my device to complete the (slow!) final download after opening the app, even though I always have more than the required 7.85 GB free. If I’m determined to play, I may have to go through several rounds of offloading apps and deleting old videos before her highness RDR will deign to complete the download. Once I enter the game, the controls being squeezed onto the screen of even a large phone not-infrequently causes problems like accidental dismounting, accidental shooting, important parts of the display being obscured, etc. And I have very small fingers. It’s a beautiful game and making it run at all on smartphones is an accomplishment, but it’s not a game you should open for an easy-entry 15 minutes of gaming.

Jaw dropping. Once you master the controls, which could understandably take some time for anyone new to mobile, the game is fantastic. It is so beautifully optimized that sometimes I forget I am playing on a phone. My only gripe has to do with the constraints when it comes to where you can place the buttons when editing the layout. It seems to prevent you from putting the buttons next to the top of the screen. As someone who plays mobile with for fingers, this is a little frustrating as my pointer fingers have to reach further down the screen. Just remove that constraint and this game is perfect.

Enjoyable. But small issue.. I’ve always loved Red Dead Redemption. My childhood game which it probably shouldn’t have been, but it was. The game runs well, best with controller. However there is an issue that really makes me pull the hair out of my scalp. When I don’t play it for a day or two, it completely forgets that I have it downloaded and it asks for me to download it a second time. The app doesn’t offload, nor do I do anything to uninstall it. Forcing me to delete the game and reinstall it.

Anticipation to Disappointment Game is currently unplayable and an Epileptic’s Worst Nightmare. Was excited to see that Netflix and Rockstar Games were able to bring in such an iconic title like Red Dead redemption to Mobile. However this excitement came with hesitation and doubt that this can be executed and unfortunately in my case my feelings were warranted. The Space that stated to support this game is very misleading you should know as a consumer that you actually need upwards of 7GB of space to run the game when the game states you need 3GB that is a sin that can’t be overlooked on top of the fact that the game isn’t stable and has hard reset my phone twice just trying to attempt to download the game. The opening menus would flash blue and pink and the screen will pixelate as if your phone is about to implode which highlights these stabilization issues that plague this game on Day 1. The game is currently unplayable for me so beware of these issues and make sure you clear up most of your space in your phone to give yourself a fighting chance to survive the epileptic nightmare of a downloading experience.

Download bug, like others are seeing. Edit3: issue with the 3 gig assets dropping and needing to be downloaded again has not been resolved with this fix. Happened an hour after I installed it. For reference Tomb Raider, a 12 gig install that included additional downloaded content is still fine. It is your how you installed your app, not the OS doing this. Edit2: If I could rate zero stars I would after receiving the canned response to reach out to technical support. There is more than enough posts referencing this repeating download issue. If you can’t recreate it on your end, what is the point? Right? Fun game if it stopped asking to download 4 gigs every other day. Edit: Over a month and the repeating need to download the same game assets is still there. While the response will be to reach out to your technical support, there is enough of examples of this to recreate or resolve now. I was even tempted to pay full price for this, but not until issues like these are resolved. It is ridiculous to run into something like this with a major AAA release. I was hoping this was an outlier issue with some, but nope it isn’t. Delete until fixed.

One of the best games ever!. I remember it being one of the games that brought me into to gaming world I will always love this game and recommend it to anyone it may have had graphics but give it a chance the story is immaculate and amazing and John marston is one of the most goated protagonists ever to touch gaming and if you haven’t gave rdr2 a chance also give it a chance cause it is just as good and honestly even better it’s just that rdr1 holds nostalgic value to me anyway you get the idea! Give it a chance!

Terrible Game. I’ve been playing Undead Nightmare mode so far and it’s just the worst. I expected so much more from Rockstar. It’s like they handed the dev tools to the clean up guy and said “Do whatcha can, I’m outta here.” The first quest, if u can call it that, is to go see a doctor in Blackwell, he says he’s gotta go get his bag, takes 10 steps and gets eaten by a walker, so that quest is over, fail. So, you wander around in a game that only gives you more zombies than bullets and the only way to get more bullets is to get killed. So glad I got this game free through my Netflix subscription, because I would’ve felt so dumb spending money on this sorry excuse for a game.

15 minutes into launch day. As someone who just finished my 11th full playthrough on console last week and my 2nd run on PC not too long ago, I didn’t expect much from an iOS port of Red Dead Redemption. I figured it would be a watered-down version, choppy, maybe playable at best. I was wrong. After only walking around for a little over 10 minutes , I can confidently say: this game looks better on an iPhone than it did on the Xbox 360. The lighting, textures, and smoothness are honestly impressive for a mobile device. The open world still feels huge, and nothing about it feels cramped or “downsized.” Even the smallest details, like the way the sun hits the terrain or how the environment reacts, feel sharper and cleaner than the original console experience. Now, some people are probably going to complain about the 30 FPS cap, but let’s be real… on a mobile device, with graphics at this level, that’s completely expected, and honestly it feels stable and consistent, which matters way more than a higher but unstable framerate. I’d rather have locked 30 than a messy 60 that tanks every time you enter a busy area. Armadillo used to be the mostframe dropping area of the map on the legacy console editions but now it’s incredibly stable. Controls took a few minutes to get used to, but once they clicked, it felt natural to ride, aim, and explore. For a game that originally came out on hardware generations behind what we use today, this port feels like a glow-up rather than another mid Netflix game If you’ve ever played Red Dead Redemption before, this is the definitive way to experience it. And if you haven’t… you’re about to meet one of the greatest games ever made, in your pocket. Well Rockstar, you’re certainly done it again, thank you devs for making this amazing port, you did an excellent job.

Amazing!!. Controls are a little bit difficult to get use to unless I hook my ps5. Controller up with Bluetooth to my phone. But I absolutely love it and I think it is really good idea and awesome that they put this on mobile. The only thing I do not like about Netflix games is the fact that right as I started San Andreas mobile and I got about a quarter of the way through the game they decided to remove it and not have the contract renewed, which really sucked, but I think red dead redemption one a great idea to have it put on mobile for me to play all over again even though I have it on my PS five it gives me something to do when I’m out and about or sitting on the bus or something and I really love it

I’m a but worried. Honestly, this game is just amazing. It is the first red dead redemption game I have ever played because I currently cannot afford a high-end PC to play red dead redemption two so being able to play this from my Netflix subscription for free just changes everything however I am worried that they will take this game out of Netflix after I have gone through so much progress, so I really hope that they don’t.

I’m so happy about it but I wish there was a standalone IOS version. I love this so much . One of my childhood games being on my cell phone that is in my pocket accessible play anytime I feel like and then I can put it away at just the swipe up of the screen. I often get on grand theft, auto San Andreas on iOS and just play. I love the sandbox after 100% completion. And I will be doing the same on RDR, but I truly wish for a standalone version because since this is a Netflix product, they can easily remove from the App Store anytime they feel like so please rockstar. Make a non Netflix affiliated version!!! Will gladly pay the price! Love it love it love it !

Amazing Game, acceded my expectations. Runs great on my Iphone 15. When I downloaded the game, I thought it’d be this trashy, zero quality, terrible graphics, and a bunch of bugs. But to my surprise, the game was amazing, graphics and quality are great, and the overall game is amazing. Definitely acceded my expectations, and proved me wrong. Only thing is that it makes my phone hot, but that’s was expected. Would definitely recommend this instead of going out and buying the $40 one on the other mobile game.

Good port, as expected. The game runs fine, 30 fps, which is honestly playable enough, considering that the gameplay and story are the classic. The only issue I’ve encountered is some visual screen bugs once in a while, but they are very minor and disappear quite quickly. But the other issue is, well, annoying, lightly put. Once in a while, after exiting the app and then reentering it later, I am forced to download those 3.92(or whatever the weight is) again. It doesn’t take long, but I have no clue whether it’s intended to be like this or not.

Please help me!. I first tried to get into the app after downloading and the loading screen to load the files came up. I chose to load it up on cellular data and after 10 minutes and it still on 0.00 gp i cleared the app tab and reentered the app. Still the same issue even with choosing WiFi, I then restarted my phone and let it sit for a while and then reentered the app and it still has the same issue on both options of WiFi and cellular data to get my gp to load. No matter how long I wait on the app it won’t budge at all even for an hour! Not at all hating it may be on my end just asking for help!

A minor glitch. The game is absolutely amazing especially since I’ve played RDR2 when it came out. I’m glad I can finally play the original on the go but one little this my character in the game never has the back holster on them and some outfits something miss things like gloves it’s small but its this small details that make the game come to life. Me and the community will be grateful if these glitches are fixed soon. And one more thing sometimes randomly the games tells me I have to do the download which I’ve already done i would appreciate it if it was fixed.

Normally 5 but one issue. I adore this game, I play it every platform I can, but for it to be locked behind a Netflix subscription hurts. I’d prefer to purchase the game and have peace of mind that I own the game versus basically relying on Netflix to keep the app operational on their end and the game would be so much Better without having to pay a monthly service. I don’t know why this platform for gaming is just so okay with great modern games to play on the go get locked behind weird tactics behind this. Hopefully Red Dead will come as a purchasable app so I can play anytime without needing my Netflix subscription to play. Other than that the game plays perfectly on my IPhone 16 and I adore the chance to play this at work so conveniently on the go.

Constantly making me redownload resources. I would have rated this 5 stars but i cant look over having to constantly redownload the resources on my iphone 16 pro max and if it doesnt redownload it properly the first time no matter if i restart the phone or anything. it no longer downloads the resources, i have to constantly delete the app and redownload it and this is annoying because its now telling me i need 7 gbs of extra space even tho i have 50+ of free space. On my ipad 11 inch (A16) version i havnt had this problem once so until this is fixed then i wont rate it 5 stars.

Missing Files!!!!🚮. Cool game but when i don’t play for a couple of hours the game automatically deletes its additional files and I have to download all over again to play. I’ve downloaded the additional files 3 times now and I don’t get why it keeps deleting on its own. I thought it was a me problem but I use an IPhone 14 Pro and I have a lot of free space, several people have made the same complaints so fix it!! I’ve given up on the game until the issue’s been fixed. I don’t get why I’d spend 18gb of data on a game that costs just 7.8gb of data!!! It always asks me to download the 3.74gb of files over and over. That’s nasty.

Great classic title on iOS, with Bugs. [Reviewed on iPhone 14 Pro Max] This game is incredibly stable and I’m having the same experience of playing red dead redemption as it used to be. However, when it comes to touch controls, it doesn’t have my presets saved and I always have to end up doing it again, same goes for settings (Resolution scaling only seems to be one saving). The touch controls feel a bit awkward at times and I would appreciate with better camera configurations. With controller on the other hand, [Used a Backbone One Playstation Edition] the game seems to play really good and I barely have a problem with playing with a controller. I would recommend this game if you have a controller to play with, (as the touch controls feel quite messy at times) and if you wanna experience red dead redemption on your iOS device.

Good Port, Terrible With Netflix. The actual port itself is incredible. Graphics, controls, fps, everything is honestly top notch. The problem is how it’s integrated with Netflix. If it lets you login, then you’ve witnessed a miracle. You can sign in perfectly fine on other Netflix games, except for this one. It also has a “storage” bug I guess you could call it. It consistently asks you to download it all over again, and then proceeds to not even download. And then an hour later you’ll get on and it very conveniently remembers “oh yeah! You did download this!”. Great port, terrible medium to play it through.

Always telling me to download resources. I love this game so much the graphics are nice and it plays well on my iPhone 11pro without much bugs but my main issue with the game is that it keeps telling to download resources if I leave the app and come back after a day or two and I have over 6gb of space so I don’t understand why this is happening and I’ve downloaded it up to 4 times in the space of 2 weeks please fix this I really love this game

Good but frustrating. Great game, works well, controls are a bit tough to get used to. But the most frustrating thing is everytime I open the app I have to re-download it. Takes like 15mins to download the 3GB stuff, why does this save? I have plenty of storage, it turns you off playing having to download this every time I open the game.

Amazing! Must play. Wow, who would have thought we would see games like this on mobile devices! Runs very well on my iPhone 17 Pro Max, visually looks great, some textures could be a little better BUT hey, this runs amazing, feels like a steady frame rate, no stuttering, slight heat after a gaming session, but nothing to crazy. Thank you Development Team, use did great! Please in future tho, add a little bit more options in the settings to customise, or at least on the newest IPad like M4/M5 allow a “Ultra” setting with higher graphics and 40-60 fps. Now to a negative, my older iPad Pro 2020 a12Z which was mentioned to be supported wont run it, opens and have what appears to be a graphical malfunction , all sorts of blue and red lines.

Why?. I was so excited to play the game because it supports iPad 9th generation, but reddit reviews say that after OS 2026 it just kicks you to The Home Screen. I’ve tried everything even reinstalling the game and shutting down my iPad. Please fix this because if you say it supports 9th generation then optimise the game to support it. 😡

Amazing (with a controller). I found it hard to play with touch screen. I tried to save my touch configuration but it doesnt save. Resets every time i open the game. Tap to shoot is also broken as john will automatically shoot even if your finger slightly graze the middle of the screen. But playing it with a telescoping controller has been wonderful and the performance on my 16P has ben excellent.

Great. It’s good all that it needs is more guns functioning boats and driveable trains as well as more train variants more tracks and more trains themselves but all trains should like you kill the driver and you can basically drive it like that as well. It gets a job as paid so yeah, I think that would be a good feature anyway bye.

Unplayable on iPad Pro a12z. I’m using an iPad Pro 2020 (A12Z) on the latest iPadOS. When launching Red Dead Redemption via Netflix Games, the Netflix logo displays correctly, but as soon as the game itself starts rendering, the screen turns into severe graphical artifacts (colored blocks / corrupted visuals), making the game completely unplayable. The device is not overheating and this happens immediately on launch, so it appears to be a GPU / Metal rendering compatibility issue, specifically affecting older iPad Pro models like A12Z. Other apps and games work perfectly fine, so this does not seem to be a hardware fault. Please look into compatibility or optimization for A12Z iPad Pro, as the game currently cannot be played on this device at all.

Game is asking for free storage. After installing and opening the game for the first time, the game is asking for additional download for 3.73GB which is okay. But after downloading 3.70 GB the game is asking for 7.84 GB of free storage in my device. But I have more than 120GB storage free on my iPhone. I tried downloading the additional file few times. Every time it is showing the same message and can't get through this issue.

Can’t play at all. I can’t play this at all when I opened the app for the first time it asked to download more data that takes ages but when it gets to 99% it says my storage is full even though I have plenty of space I tried repeatedly but it happens every time Just got a reply from the developer they obviously don’t read these reviews they told me to contact them through the in game portal. How on earth am I supposed to do that when I can’t get the app to work in the first place 😡

Amazing, but one annoying glitch. Runs perfectly, controller support is great, the tech just gets out of the way and I'm fully immersed in playing RDR. The only issue is the game keeps forgetting that I've got the Y axis inverted in the gamepad settings. Every day I'm having to go back in and change it. On an M5 iPad Pro I felt the game could have ran at a slightly higher resolution, but that's ok.

Re-downloading. I have loved the game so far it’s very very awesome to play and the graphics are very good but a lot of the time when I go to play the game it makes me re-download everything for some reason it is very annoying

Awesome, but…. i’m ecstatic that this game is on mobile now along with undead nightmare, i have encountered no bugs so far with 8 hours of gameplay. The only issues i’ve found are that the settings presets don’t save when i close the app and come back, and that the standard controls feel very unnatural. I find “revolver” in display settings the best. i hope to see more rockstar games and other retro games added in the future, it’s great to be able to play such amazing games on the go.

Amazing Port, but one flaw (Please Read). I know I am late but it is amazing to see a rdr port on mobile. It is perfect using a controller, but PLEASE can the iPad Air M3 have a performance and fidelity slider. For some unknown reason the iPad Air m3 doesn’t have a (60 fps option) or performance and fidelity slider. Weirdly the m1 and m2 air iPads have a (40 fps option) or Performance slider. I am completely sure a basically new iPad with a desktop grade chip can crush an almost 16 year old game. Other than that it’s an awesome port. Thanks

Glitchy mess. I have an iPad Pro 12.9 3rd gen and I am unable to play due to the screen going completely green and there being artefacts all over the screen. My iPad is listed as compatible on the App store. Hopefully a patch comes out to make it work on older supported devices. Would not recommend.

Great game must play. The game is great, works quite fine even in low wifi, the story line is great and immersive the ending is a bit of a let down but the game itself is definitely top 3 Game

A glitchy app. The app is very glitchy it will let you log in and show the Netflix logo at the start but from then on it’s glitchy pink flashing screens show up and you can’t see the words on the screen they are just blocks

Major issue please fix. Obviously the game itself is amazing, but every few days it requires a re-download and has an error message about a lack of storage, even if I have enough. I had to free up about 10GB and got it to work, but it still has to download the final 4GB again every once in a while (and sometimes crashes until I fully delete and download again).

Issues retaining asset packages. No issues at the game itself it plays great and is a load of fun. The only issue I'm experiencing is with downloading the pregame content. Each day these assets reset and I'm forced to download them again. My game saves remain intact. It's very annoying sitting for a 20 minute install every day just to play the game.

Red dead redemption. Crazy how this game made its way to mobile

Amazing but still a little rough. I’ve loved this game for its story for years and this port is absolutely peak. It perfectly maintains the feel of the original game and the control scheme, with all its gestures, allows you to play exactly as you would with a controller. Most mobile games do not do this. Two cons. First, the HDR calibration is pretty terrible. It will be entirely blown out during the day, and pitch black at night even with max brightness. Secondly, the game is prone to its fair share of performance issues. It takes a lot of power to run, and once your device is somewhat hot, throttling makes the game so laggy it’s unplayable. Good luck playing this in a stuffy room during the summer. Thankfully the launch glitches are gone now. Further optimization would be much appreciated.

Amazing port, but please add 60fps to iPads. Rockstar has absolutely excelled with this port. It looks amazing and is their most graphically stunning game on mobile yet. I just have one complaint, on iPhones, the game has both Fidelity and Performance modes. Fidelity granting you 30fps and Performance granting you 60fps. These modes are absent from the iPad version of the game and would be a lot better if it contained them. Please add a performance mode to the iPad version of this game. Overall great port.

Great game. To many downloads. This game plays great on my iPhone and I love that I can play it offline. The only annoyance is that almost every time I go to play it, I have to download a large file and wait. Then it doesn't tell me if I have enough space until I 99% and then fails. So I have to clear space, and try again it can take several attempts to get this to work.

Good port but has glaring issues.. If you have the space and a Netflix subscription this is Red Dead Redemption of course it’s good. However after a couple days the game tries to make me reinstall all the assets and as my phone is already low on space and the massive game is already downloaded it will not download. I tried to see if having an excess amount of space will fix this but it got to 99% download and then told me I needed more space… I have deleted the game and won’t be playing again until it’s fixed.

Enjoyment. From someone who use to play this on Xbox 360, Im perfectly happy with how the game ported tho the only things I have issues with and yeah I could play on a tv but I’ve been playing on mobile and the cross areas are too small and the gray blends in on smaller screens if could change color or add a bigger cross area but again thank you for porting this lets hope for Skyrim next ❤️🙏

Bug?. I like the game but whenever I try to update my bar never goes up? I’ve tried to redownload it and open it back up, freed up storage and restarted my phone. I know it could be my WiFi but my WiFi is on and working. The app keeps telling my to turn on WiFi on while it’s on, and therefore it wont download the updates.

Re-downloading resource files.. I also seem to run into the same problem where every day or so I’ll have to re-download the resource files and there’s been times that it’s asked again and by that time I’ve already run out of space to download it again, so I constantly have to delete stuff, to keep making space, so I can keep re-downloading the resource files in order to play. Would really be appreciated if this issue can be fixed. Great game overall.

Broken game and broken support link. Guys come on. This game is almost 20 years old and is now being put out by rockstar and Netflix 2 companies collectively worth $20 billion. Game won’t execute, just gives black screen with unreadable pixelated text meanwhile full screen pink bars pop in and out. Upon clicking the support link, it just goes to account main menu. When you finally navigate to the page with red dead redemption on it, you cannot even select the game for support. The browser auto navigates to neighboring titles. Very sad guys

Rockstar always delivers masterpieces. I first discovered RDR2 back in 2019, and it was my first experience with a truly perfect AAA open-world game. It was absolutely stunning—the storyline and scenery were unlike anything I’d ever played before. After finishing RDR2, I never got around to playing the original Red Dead Redemption. Now, I’m so excited to finally experience the continuation of this masterpiece right here on my phone.

Worth playing! I’m hooked. It’s like I’m playing it on my Xbox 360 again! The controls, specifically the walking thumb stick button took a little getting used to but after I got the hang of that, I’m having a blast! The story is great. Definitely recommend if you’re on the fence. Excited for Netflix to release more games by Rockstar

Games is great. The game is great runs great on my phone a few issues tho mainly with mobile controls. 1. First is looking around is very difficult to keep the screen consistent where your moving making John get stuck especially in indoor environments. 2. Sprinting is also difficult since you cant really look around while tapping sprint button john stops often and is especially really bad during shoot outs bc you become a sitting duck. 3. Is the reticle sometimes I can’t really see where I am shooting since is very small wish you could adjust the size of it. Thats all my issues so far hope you can improve mobile controls since I can’t always play with my console controller.

Amazing game, just one issue. From being locked to 7th gen consoles, to being available in every device imaginable. The port is great, and runs well in my iPhone 13 and looks great, but custom settings don’t save, which is shown by the game asking to “turn on subtitles?”, and every time I launch the game I have to change my settings, but other then that this port has exceeded my expectations.

Epic Recreation of a Classic. I was hesitant to download this as it wasn’t the official, $40 Rockstar version. However, having a Netflix subscription and it being free, I figured I would give it a try. Playing on an iPhone 17 Pro Max with a Backbone Pro controller, it is a sleek, fluid and joyous experience. Fidelity mode looks to be around 40-50 fps, which the sub 60 frames far makes up for with the sharp image and gorgeous lighting. Having playing RDR since launch day on the original Xbox, this feels like the truest version; what I remember it being on my CRT screen so many years ago as opposed to what it initially was. Everything just works. Get it. Play it. And enjoy!

Static and visual bugs. I was so excited to play this game on my iPad 8th gen but when I open the game the screen is all static and I can barely see the outlines of the words. Then when it loads and downloads the static is still there and I can’t fix it. I’ve tried uninstalling and installing RDR, I’ve tried updating my iPad and Netflix, and nothing work’s unfortunately. Hopefully this is fixed soon because I would love to play RDR!

STATIC!. I was so exited for the game to come out on Netflix, yet when I opened it, it became red and purple static. I disliked this very much and had to follow many tutorials just to get the same result. Please fix this issue! If you fix this issue I will appreciate it very much! (I gave it 4/5 because of this static) Ps: The game will show sounds and load, but I can’t do anything to move, and the weird static blurs out all words which really annoys me, Ive tried to fix it but it never worked.

This is one of the first mobile ports I’ve played of console games (the other being max payne) and I’m not gonna lie it’s pretty good and I haven’t noticed any glitching at all plus get to experience Undead nightmare again it takes me back to the ps3 and 360 days. Plus this being included in my Netflix subscription was also nice.

The story is amazing, the gameplay is amazing and the overall feel is amazing! Definitely my favorite game ever!!!! Don’t be stupid and download those nock-off RDR games, just get this one, it’s better.🔥🔥🔥🔥🙌🙌🙌

Lol RDR on an iPhone. We all know this is a masterpiece of a game. A true piece of art in every single way. 10/10. But it doesn’t run on an iPhone 15. When this was suggested to me on the Netflix app, I downloaded it to see which would happen first: my phone crashes or I rage quit due to the fact that I’m playing Red Dead with a touchscreen. Actually, it was neither. So John gets off the train in Armadillo, I accidentally kill a few people trying to figure out the controls, and then I notice my phone is getting warm. I take it out of the case and I literally can’t touch the sides cause they’re so hot. I had no other apps running. I didn’t take note, but I didn’t even wanna think about what it does to the battery. Maybe it runs better on later phones but you’re still playing a shooter with a touchscreen. After not playing for so long, I’m so excited to replay the game on my actual Xbox! Thank you, Netflix!

Awesome!. So great! The only complaint I have right now is it isn’t saving my progress after I finished playing a couple missions. It don’t auto save correctly and I have to start right back at the race with Bonnie. Other than that it’s great once you figure out how to control everything!

Huge problem that needs fixing. I would probably rate this a 5 star if i could actually start playing. Instead, it just gets stuck on the “downloading ressources” screen. It stays at 0gb no matter what i do. I have plenty of storage, have a stable wifi and i’m sure my phone is compatible. I really hope the developers notice this and fix it.

Amazing game but terrible log in system. Love this game and was having a great time playing it until all of the sudden I got logged out of my account and now can no longer log in and play the game. It bags stuck on the “sign in with your account to play” and when I press the next button nothing happens the page freezes on that screen and never takes me to sign in, all of my other Netflix games work fine and let me sign back in but yet this one refuses to let me play even after deleting the app and reinstalling multiple times.

I loved. I can't say perfect because only God is perfect but this is wonderful, the story, the graphics, the controls, the secondary missions, EVERYTHING is wonderful What I have a problem is that when I configure the tactile controls after a day passes the controls return to the default I don't know if I have to activate something or it's a bug

MAJOR BUG. Please Fix!. This game plays brilliantly on my phone…but every 5-6 opens, the game thinks it needs to download the play files again. It also says there’s not enough space on my phone when there is plenty of space during this download process. Would be great if a fix could be found for this!

Riding Again!. I’ve been playing RDR with an bluetooth Xbox controller, and it’s absolutely amazing. The controls are smooth, the graphics are stunning, and the gameplay feels as epic as I remember from the original on Xbox 360 years ago. If you loved the original or are new to the game, this is a must play it’s even better with a controller!

Absolutely amazing. I was expecting some trash halfaased gta 3 mobile trash, but what I got was a remaster running like a dream red dead redemption game. As an avid console gamer I never imagined this game could look, run, or feel this good. If you’re on the fence about this game, take it from me, don’t be. You will not be disappointed. Amazing game. Peak game, i love the graphics for the limited graphics on phone. this game is so good and the story has such good depth, and the chemistry with other characters and the voice acting is phenomenal. i totally recommend buying this game its worth the money for the story and details in the game, and the amount of gameplay you get is really good for the price.

WONDERFUL. I’ve played this game on PlayStation but on phone is basically great it brings a lot of memories back and the graphics it self are pretty good for being a game from 2010 and it barely has glitches and lagging and the loading is short the only thing I have to say is just add controller support. Good job Rockstar

I feel bad but it’s true. I feel bad about writing this I do but this game is broken. Honestly, it is whether redemption from the best games out there some might even call it the goat of all games, but it’s broken when I download it just pure static like a bad TV screen you know you can’t see nothing And like I really hope it’s a game problem not a device problem because I would really love to play this game so if you can, please take a look at it and please fix

Outfits changes no longer available for me. Glitch?. I’m at about 95% completion but I can no longer change among the outfits I have (and I have almost all of them). It seems to be a glitch because it doesn’t work in safe houses or at campsites. I’ll still be able to complete but it is annoying not to be able to use them for game play.

I’m experiencing an issue with the Red Dead Redemption game available through Netflix Games on. After downloading the game file, the game opens and plays normally. However, whenever I close the app and try to play again, it asks me to download the file all over again. This happens every single time I want to play, even though I completed the full download before.

Wild West but I appear to have taken peyote. Installed and started game and the screen is full of static and flickering pixels. After it downloaded the assets I can hear some sound effects and music but I can’t see anything but noise. The help I received was useless. Have you tried turning it off and turning it on again? Gave me instructions that can’t be accomplished on my iPad. Very disappointed. Including this stellar advice: The standard Windows Apps & features settings do not typically show a "Storage" option for large games like Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2) because games installed through launchers like Steam or the Rockstar Games Launcher are managed by those applications, not the Windows system directly. Really? Now the support person is telling me I should try it on a different device, that maybe the problem is with my iPad. OH MY GOD, THE SUGGESTION IS TO CONTACT ROCKSTAR GAMES! Unbelievable Note: suggesting I contact support won’t help

Great before the update. I’ve had to download 3.7GB of data 3 times. I’m not sure what’s happening it making me download over and over. Overall gameplay and graphics are exceptional however after the update some of the controls became a bit wanky especially the slow down aim and shooting mechanic. It’s also became a bit laggy in some situations. It’s a good game just need to do some more updates to it

Game Launches but No Image. I’m on an iPad Pro with the A12Z chip, and the game technically starts — I can hear the audio and music in the background — but the screen only shows green and red static instead of the actual image. It never displays the menu or gameplay visuals. I’ve tried restarting the iPad, reinstalling the app, turning off Bluetooth, and using Low Power Mode, but nothing changes. It seems like there’s a visual or rendering issue specific to A12Z iPads. The game runs for others, so please fix this so players on older iPad Pro models can actually see what’s happening on screen.

Dude this game is too good deserves to be #1 on App Store adventure like the optimisation is top tier Rockstar games rocked again and shocked us As a big rockstar games fan and played almost all of their games like too much I loved rdr 1 and that makes me happy to be able to play rdr 1 60 fps on my iPhone 16 one of the best works rockstar did ngl! I did not expect this at all, so not only do I just love the red dead franchise in general, the fact that I can now play it on a mobile device is actually amazing. it's also very impressive that they made a game ment for mainly pc and console into a playable mobile game. The fist time I tried RDR. I couldn’t believe how YALL did it, but it looked so similar to the original, I almost thought it was the real one! I never got to play red dead redemption but since this was free on Netflix, I had to at least try it, and it runs smoothly! Thank you for giving me this chance to play the game I never got to play.

Can’t play. Game does not connect to TV as intended and is incompatible with mobile. The beginning is all glitches and static that could easily be considered a seizure hazard, plus it makes it very difficult to start the game, when you do the controls are still unseen through all the static making it impossible to play. The only thing that works correctly is the sounds l. There is no difference between this and the normal mobile. Version as it does not connect to TV. It may even be worse as you are completely unable to play the game.

Peak. This game is a masterpiece and it gave us one of the greatest games of all time RDR2. Even with it being “apart” of Netflix I can’t complain the game runs fine on my phone looks great and brings back great memories. I do want there to be controller support added that would be cool and make it WAY easier to play on. Peak game apple could have added to App Store

Mobile touch controls. Great game,amazing graphics, runs well, but cutting of parts of the screen especially the top is ridiculous, is a mobile game the hud should be full customizable. This takes so much of the game away for advanced mobile gamers. The game is honestly hard to enjoy just cuz I can’t play 4 fingers, it’s like playing a console game with no controller

This game is a masterpiece. Imagine if they added RDR2. I’ve always wanted to play red, dead redemption and red dead redemption two now I can get my hands on it. The game was amazing. I thought it was gonna be laggy and glitchy but once I played it, it was amazing quality amazing experience amazing just imagine if they added RDR two I would love to play that on mobile since I don’t have any console.

Issues downloading. Upon successfully downloading, the game ran perfectly smooth, I was able to connect a ps5 controller and play just as if it was on a console. I tried booting it up Svein, and it said that it needs to reinstall. Since then, every attempt to download has failed with the same message saying 7.85 gb of space is required. I have more than enough, yet it will not download.

Game is perfect, but one little thing…. I’ll simply get to the problem. Every so often when I go into the app, it asks me for a 3.73 GB download (which was the memory required to download the game in the first place). It will ask me to enact a download I’ve already installed, even though i could have played it the night before and it wouldn’t prompt me to do so. Why is this? Otherwise, game is excellent

A Bluetooth controller and setup for a larger screen and now your phone is a console. What a time to be alive. I can’t believe this!. I’m just in shock that one of my favorite games of all time is just available on my iPhone now. I’ve been playing with my backbone controller and I can already tell you I’ll be sinking some serious hours into this. Thankful I get to go down a fun path of memory lane. Good port, but it has a major bug. The game runs well on the device I use, but some of the buttons aren’t sensitive enough to being pressed while others are too sensitive to being pressed. What I mean by this is that buttons that are too sensitive to touch activate like it’s being pressed when my finger is nowhere near it while buttons that aren’t sensitive enough to touch don’t work unless I click them multiple times.

Bug for Netflix. Whenever I open my game after 1 day the download file that is around 4gb comes everytime I open the game which I have already have downloaded yet and it still pop ups after I close my game and then I open I have to download again

Iraq. Hello, I am experiencing a severe graphics issue when launching Red Dead Redemption on my iPad Pro 4th Generation (A12Z). When the game starts, the screen shows colored blocks, pixel noise, and visual glitches. The game does not render properly and is completely unplayable. I have already tried all common fixes, including reinstalling the game, restarting the device, freeing storage space, updating to the latest iPadOS version, and disabling display features. Unfortunately, none of these steps solved the problem. Many users with A12-series iPads are reporting the same GPU rendering bug, so it appears to be a compatibility issue in the current version of the game. Because this is a technical problem that requires a future update or patch from the developer, there is no working solution at the moment. Thank you.

Absolutely terrible. Literally the absolute worst implementation of touch screen controls I have ever seen in a mobile game. Idk who this developer is or who ported the game over but that crew needs to be fired. Serious question to you devs: in what world do you find this acceptable? How can you screw something so simple up? Your reputation has been compromised. The majority of these reviews are all about the controls. Fix your port, cuz that’s literally the easiest thing you could possibly do. Better yet, find a new hobby. I honestly don’t want to see this developer take on any more jobs.

Glitchy. When I opened the game, the screen looked like TV static and was extremely glitchy. I redownloaded it multiple times hoping it would fix the problem, but it never did. To make things worse, while it was downloading, it actually caused my phone to shut off completely. At that point, I had no choice but to give up because I was genuinely concerned for my device. This has been incredibly frustrating, and I really need this issue to be taken seriously and fixed as soon as possible.

Too good to be true,. I’m loss for words, this game was good, and made me actually finish rdr1, the mobile port was actually very accurate, the only thing I would complain about was the aim support, but that might be my problem, in the undead dlc, the headshots are very very important, but aim just locks on the body, also the horses kill themselves 10/10 would end this game again for the fun.
