Pinball Masters NETFLIX Game Reviews

Yeah, a bit laggy, but…. I still enjoy it. Been playing a lot of Nintendo Switch lately, so I guess I’m just use to imperfect frame rates. Looking forward to more tables. Maybe some based off of Netflix shows?

Incredible pinball game!. This app is amazing, each board has a story and objectives and mini-games just like real pinball machines. It's not just a ball, bumpers, and flippers. Plus it runs very smoothly The only thing missing really, is subtitles for dialogue, it would help a lot. I look forward to the continued development of this app!

Blurry boards. it would be really nice if you would improve on the definition of your game the pinball machines themselves tend to be somewhat blurry and low definition.

Mr. Hermon Bray. I just started playing it and I like is there different pinball machines available or do have to beat the first one to get other pinball machines.

More tables, more challenging please. Very limited table selection. Also the star system is far to easy to max.

Almost great. Font is kind tiny making it hard to see balls and upper flippers.

Good game but please improve user experience. Good game, nice graphics but it needs an easy mode. Very frustrating experience after a while.

Screen is too far away. Hard to see the ball. Game is fun & boards are dope but the camera views are all the same. Can’t zoom in to see the ball and losing many balls needs a fix

Low performance. Running this on an iPhone 15 Pro Max and it looks muddy and runs choppy. Also there’s no haptic feedback which is so bizarre for a pinball game. Unfortunately it seems a lot of the Netflix games are lackluster like this. Thankfully the newer releases like Dead Cells and the GTA games are actual quality releases.

Not optimized for the iPad.. The graphics and performance on my iPad pro is awful to the point of practically unplayable. I believe the iPad pro is capable of nearly 4k resolution but it looks blurry with low res assets that seem to be meant for only the small screens of an iphone. The low res graphics is even worse than Pinball Party on the apple arcade and even worse than the original Zen Pinball app which is over 10 yrs old at this point. No support for landscape orientation for ipad players. I bought every table on the original Zen Pinball app and it feels like a slap in the face to mobile users that the quality of the apps have gotten worse and worse. I remember when I think it was maybe Barbiebobomb was still the community manager (or maybe Mel Kirk) when mobile users were told that pinball fx3 was coming to mobile. That ship has sailed long ago. I don’ think Mel Kirk has any idea what the hardcore fanbase wants. Why can’t we just get a next gen pinball app that looks good and runs smoothly and that is not locked behind subscriptions or free to play shenanigans? I will buy every table at $5 per table which is pretty much the norm on every other platform. I don’t care about special game modes or “power” ups. I don’t care about fancy ball trails or cosmetics. Give me an online and local leaderboard, give me all the new fx tables with next gen physics and lighting. That’s it and I will open my wallet to you again.

Doesn’t play well on iPad pro. Blurry visuals are one thing but the thing playing at like 20-30mframes per second is a much bigger problem. Hard to play a fast paced game with this kind of poor performance.

Whew!!. So addictive! do not play this game if you have something to do, because you will not get it done! ;)

Unplayable. One of the most despicable companies did it again. First they completely abandon mobile and leave people who paid for tables hanging with buggy apps. Now they are back to make a quick buck with Netflix? The ball is so laggy and jerky (on iPad Pro!) that it becomes unplayable. Just like in Williams pinball, only way worse. Also, why only portrait? Please do not get a Netflix subscription just for this app, you will regret it. Edit: Instead of making the app netter, they chose to buy 5-star ratings to mask out the legit bad ones. Very fitting for Zen.

Blurry Low Res Graphics. I was excited to try this one out. It’s feels good to play, but that quickly diminishes as you try to discern what is going on on the table. Every table is set at low resolution so it’s too blurry to read text clearly and see the details of the table. At least give players the option to download hi res texture packs. This could’ve been a gem.

Not super difficult. The only rough part I’ve yet to figure out is the magnet and car feature. Can’t even get CLOSE to the five second challenge. Just cannot figure that one out. Otherwise a fun, medium difficult table. Just keep going for the multi all. Great animations.

Pinball game. Was hesitant on getting it at first because it was on Netflix and it was my first game buying on Netflix but it works great and has next to no glitches. So far no issues with the game.

Mildly amusing. It’s okay, neat tables but this suffers badly from getting screwed by Pinball randomness. As in the ball falls perfectly down the middle all to often. The ramps are annoying to even get the ball to complete them. It’s mildly amusing but gets annoying enough that I don’t care if I play or not. There should be an option to block the ball from going out for those who just want to play pinball without being annoying by outs constantly.

Surprise. Actually have really been enjoying these.

Fun. The game is fun, but its annoying that on the iPhone when you try to hit the flippers if your thumb slides up even a tiny bit the game constantly pauses.

3 stars is appropriate. Mostly great pinball boards but the three star ranking in each is nearly impossible. So lose desire to play once I had 2 stars on each board.

Great pinball-Hard to control on smaller phone. iPhone mini. Hard to play since paddle hit area is so far low on the screen there’s no good way to hold the phone without it always feeling like I’m going to drop it

Massive bug in the game, so I quit. Ok. Like the idea of trying new tables for those who don’t have the Pinball FX series. However, at a random time when you play ANY pinball table, the game freezes, and then if you try to resolve the issue by closing and opening the game back up without losing any progress, the game goes on without any audio. That issue is massive, and made me stop using the game. Another issue occurs only in the Kong table. When you try to launch a ball, on uncommon occasions, you actually can’t launch the ball, so the only way to launch a ball in that event is to close and open the game back up without losing any progress. I see no other issues, except the two bugs.

Fun but one table is clearly better. Giving four stars because I’m enjoying it but really only the Grimm table is really well done. The others feel shorter than they should be and not as interactive

It’s a disappointing miss…. I was very excited for The Addams Family to get a virtual release. Zen studios is normally really good. However it’s a hot mess. Very low graphics, choppy gameplay and feels like it’s 20 frames per second. This isn’t hardware issues I have a 2021 iPad Pro. This is software development sided.

This is a good game of Godzilla. I don’t always play pinball, but when I do, I play the Godzilla!

Extra Ball. Often times it’ll miss the extra balls you get, especially if you get them in the 3rd ball in play. The ball routinely bounces off the bookcase directly down the middle to drain. Multiball will drain extremely fast. Physics ate not real accurate.

Playable when bored. Game is ok. First off graphics seem nice, even on iPad Air 4. But I wish not everything was made for phones! Meaning that it's only in portrait mode! Ugh! Then the ball seems to favor the left side. This game cheats! You have three slots next to each flap. But the third slot goes behind them! This is where your ball will end up about half the time. Then, not only do you lose a ball. You lose gameplay! I don't recall them ever doing this in real live machines! Then, the time your ball get killed and another ball drops. Takes way to long! The flappers at top of machine don't really seem helpful at all. I wish that the ball glowed or was a bright color. Because it's really hard to see, especially on the darker colored boards like the first Grimm one.

Has to be one the best pinball games out there. Been having a lot of fun with this usually I’m kinda bored by pinball games on the phone and want to only play the real life ones, but this one is amazing! Play and have fun pinball lovers!

The game has really good production values, but controls are horrible. The game has really good production values, but controls are horrible. The area where you control the paddles can’t be adjusted. My advice is split the left and right control area down the middle. When the player want to bump the table, then do it with two both left and right fingers and drag the direction you want to do it. I think it would feel more natural like in irl.

BEST GAME EVER. This is easily the best pinball game I’ve every played! The curse of mummy and Godzilla Pinball are just so cool. To anyone who like pinball games, they should definitely download this game!

Amazing Games!. I really really enjoy pinball and these games are both really fun and challenging! If you enjoy pinball as much as I have growing up and even now, definitely check this game out!

Pinball. It’s Pinball with a twist and stories! I really enjoy the 3D effects, definitely need more maps!

Fun Pinball. I’ve been enjoying ad free pinball. I’m starting with the basic tables and I noticed a problem with the Mummy game. The score box at the top of the screen blocks the CROCOS letters that are part of the table mechanics. None of the views fix this, the view should be moved up a bit.

Fair action, no sound... The game plays about average but for some unknown reason there’s no sound at all. The action is good but at present it’s one dimensional without any sound..

Seems like iPad needs some work. Worked great on iPhone but the graphics and performance need work on the iPad.

Best pinball game ever. This game is so fun and can keep you busy for hours with the many cool stories and games within it. Surprised it doesn’t cost a ton, best game I’ve played this year!

Blurry and unplayable on iPad Pro. As much as I wanted to like this app, I can’t due to the sheer fact that it’s unplayable. The frame rate is incredibly low, which makes screen and input responses difficult to match up. The graphics are also fairly blurry, and don’t take advantage of the iPad’s higher resolution. While this might be playable on an iPhone, that’s not my preferred device for playing pinball games. Oddly, the same tables in Zen’s other iPad apps are much better than this.

It’s okay but it just needs more stages. It has an limited number of stages that it just feels boring after a while.

The idea is great but way too slow/ choppy. This, in it’s current state, is too choppy to take seriously. I’ve tried it on a newer iPad, iPhone XR and iPhone SE. it’s ok but you’re not able to see how cool the tables really are. I mean, the Noire table?? Yes Please! Just update it ASAP to make it more playable. It honestly feels like one of those cloud based games where it’s just a bit off. Star Wars pinball (also by Zen) plays beautifully on many devices. Huge fan. Bring on the updates! Cheers!

Fixed!!!. Now we’re talking! Some of Zen’s coolest new tables, now finally running at a good frame rate. This went from being unplayable to my new favorite pinball app. Worth a Netflix subscription on its own!

Need better viewing angles. It looks and plays amazing but it is hard to see and needs lower viewing angles. It is hard to work your flippers and watch a tiny ball or more zooming around

Fun - Little glitchy, needs more options. Much more fun than I thought it would be. It’s easy to exit unintentionally, and it needs more options, but enjoyable and good graphic elements.

Stop posting useless update info, Netflix!. Hey Netflix, You've released some great games, and as a big fan of the Zen Studio pinball games, this was a great addition. This 1 star review is not a problem with the game or developers but Netflix's stupid update practices. Who at Netflix came up with the BRILLIANT habit of giving every update to ALL of your games the same generic description? In today's Pinball Master update a new table was added, not that I as a customer would know from that IDIOTIC update description!

Terrible. A couple of things here. First off, it’s tiny. Second off, it’s way too busy. Just too much going on. In a real game the ball doesn’t just keep coming back at you, it bounces around on it’s own, ringing up points. Not so here. This is boring.

Great pinball game suite. Well made and fun to play. Would love to have some additional / different themed machines for a little more variation, but I’m enjoying the offerings so far as is. Thanks!

Extra ball?. Too hard to figure out what to shoot for. Even while wearing my glasses. Can’t see it!

This is new?. The app is a blurry mess. Zen has a number of far older pinball apps that look a lot better than this. Combined with flipper lag on an iPhone 15 Pro, this was an auto-delete. They should be ashamed to have released this. I can’t understand the positive reviews…

Need 60fps. This game is great … nice having some tables that are different than the tables on the Apple Arcade Zen Studios, but the game seemingly runs at 30fps with no options to change to 60fps. Would also be nice to play in landscape and support external controllers. Still … if you’re already a Netflix subscriber it’s hard to beat the price, and if you haven’t played the other Zen games on various other platforms the lack of 60fps may not bother you.

Low resolution mess. Blurry upscaled low resolution imagery looks horrendous on iPad Pro. Deleted immediately.

The best. I was a pinball wizard in the 70’s. I certainly love the feel and quality of this game. Im really enjoying it and playing every day.

A bit limited. It seems as if the resolution of these titles has been scaled down, and they lack the vibrancy that an iPad is capable of. No controller support is available in this version either. As an introduction to what Zen can offer in its tables, it is definitely sub par.

Pretty fun. Easy to pick up and put down as well as challenging score goals compared to other games. My only negative would be that some tables are more dull than others, I would love to see the iron man table or something here!

Really good game. It’s over all a really good game and would recommend but it needs more options there’s only like 8 pinball machines and the ball needs to be more noticeable other then that it’s a really good game :)

Great Tables, oof Graphics. Zen makes some great tables but the resolution and frame rate are pretty painful in this port. I imagine Netflix has some rules about what devices they want their games to be available on, but it’s hurting this game if so. The  arcade port is preferable.

Problem. The flippers are flipping 1 time out of 3 with the IPad Pro. Not only the game doesn’t work properly, each time I played I had to restart my IPad cause the functions were all FU. Good job Netflix. How’s the gaming market working for you?

Terrible visuals, fun tables. While I appreciate that as a Netflix subscriber I can play awesome tables like The Addams Family on the go, this is nearly unplayable for me. It feels like it’s running at 480p at 20 fps, it is very hard to follow the ball, even with ball trails turned off. Having played Pinball Party on Apple Arcade, as well as Zen’s native Pinball FX3 on the exact same device, I know that these tables can look and play a lot better. Hoping that The developer that Netflix hired to port this can get this running a whole lot better!

More Classic Tables in Future Updates Please. As far as gameplay and physics go, Pinball Masters is on point. No complaints whatsoever on that front. However, I only really found 3 games to be enjoyable out of what’s presently available: Addams Family, Pinball Noir, and Wrath of the Elder Gods. The rest feel lifeless and dull. If the collection of tables is going to expand in future updates, please add more Williams machines.

Good game but terrible frame rate. The game would be fun but the frame rate is so low that it ruin the gameplay.

It’s amazing now. Restored my joy playing digital pinball. The Pacific Rim table has a really nice design. I love the water on the ramp and the giant robot. The cinematic score display looks awesome. Most importantly, the ball movement is fluid now on my iPhone 13. This is awesome. I wish there was a physical version — oh wait there is — on PlayStation. Anyhow for now I’m happy with this. Even tho I’m “renting” ://

Cool tables, but laggy. FPS feels really low on iPad compared to other Zen pinball games. Ruins the experience.

Pinball. There’s a bit of a learning curve but once you read the table rules your good to go. I’m really enjoying this game.

Unplayable on iPad. Laggy and low frame rate on 9th gen iPad. Other pinball apps by Zen Masters work just fine. A shame since th Epps tables look fun.

Pinball masters - Netflix. Sound is buggy and jittery and unplayable. It’s a pain to try and report the issue too - customer service chat is not great.

good game, but. this game is a really fun twist on pinball but the only problem i have with it is sometimes the ball mechanics get really janky and will go right through the flappers if they hit the tip of it

Unacceptable Performance. The frame rate on the Addams Family machine is completely unacceptable. Not sure why it can’t be as smooth as the machines in the Williams Zen Pinball app.
