World of Goo Remastered Game Description & Overview

What is world of goo remastered app? Available exclusively for Netflix members.

They're squirmy and curious! Drag and drop living Goo Balls to build everything from bridges to giant tongues in this physics-based puzzle game.

The millions of Goo Balls that live in the beautiful World of Goo are curious to explore — but they don't know that they're in a game, or that they're extremely delicious. Connect the Goo Balls to build a wide range of jiggly architecture, including: bridges, cannonballs, and zeppelins.

This award-winning game, made entirely by two guys, has been praised for its "ingenious-level design" by IGN and named "Game of the Year" by TouchArcade and Metacritic. Be prepared to be charmed by the weird and wonderful World of Goo.

Features:

• Mysterious Levels: Each level is strange and dangerously beautiful, introducing new puzzles and areas — and the creatures that live in them.

• A Diverse World of Goo Balls: Along the way, undiscovered new species of Goo Ball, each with unique abilities, come together to ooze through reluctant tales of discovery, love, surveillance, beauty, electric power, and the third dimension.

• The Sign Painter: Someone is watching you.

• Build the Tallest Tower in World of Goo Corporation's Mysterious Sandbox: World of Goo Corporation is contractually obligated to state that everyone is a winner and is enthusiastic to celebrate everyone's tower building opportunities equally.

Updates for the Netflix edition:

• Hi-Res Art for the Modern Age: The original art for this game was designed to look excellent on screens of years past; it's now updated to double the original resolution for a remastered gameplay experience. The Netflix edition also includes support for modern screen sizes.

• Save Your Progress: Play on your phone or mobile device and track your advancement with cloud save. Each Netflix profile will track progress separately.

Used to love this game along time ago. Ruined by Netflix

Get rid of the Netflix subscription. I remember playing this game without have to put in a Netflix account, get rid of the Netflix subscription.

Sound. Make if so you can disable sound plz or I will nuke the company

Gameplay is still amazing, user experience is poor. If you’re just here to play through the story, so be it, you’ll probably have a good time. If, however, you’re a completionist going after the OCD awards, you’ll be exceedingly frustrated. First, and this is huge, once you have enough goo balls in the tube to satisfy the level requirements, a giant cord drops in front of the gameplay area that said continue. In the first level with only black balls, this is okay. In latter levels with green balls were you want to disassemble the structure to claim more balls, you can’t! Or, at least, you have to do so while carefully avoiding the unappreciated button. Second, retrying is a PITA. Once the level is completed, you’re forced back out to the level picker screen. Retrying involves selecting the same level, watching whatever intro video is programmed into it, and then starting the level. Repeat this a few times and you’ll understand how painful it is. Third, let’s say you just completed a level and want to see how close you are to the OCD award. Should be easy, right? Nope. See point two above. Hey through the dumb cut sequence. Now find a buried menu option that’s only just available and find out what the goals are. Hopefully you remembered what scores you got on your previous attempt, because the game sure doesn’t. So ya, all in all, it’s still world of goo, but they made some really unfortunate small-screen decisions that make replaying the game painful.

Such a great game. I am shaded by nostalgia, but this game is so good I love it. I played it when I was little on the wii and have consistently came back to it over time on different platforms for its fun, simple gameplay, but this games supurb level design and charming character. The soundtrack has been in and out of my head for the last decade and it deserves to be there. This remaster seems to be pretty faithful to the original 2D Boy releases as it should be, with widescreen support and maybe some sharper graphics. I cannot recommend this title enough on any platform, though a keyboard and mouse is most comfortable to me.

Volume control?. Let us turn off your music and sound

Memento from my childhood. Back in happier days in my life I would run upstairs after school and try to beat all the levels. Thanks for reminding me of the little things in life. I was able to re experience the fun with my husband as we scrambled to beat the game together

Good game, bad Netflix. Loved this game as a kid. But all good things must come to an end by corporate greed and profiting off nostalgia. Netflix does not deserve this game. I don’t watch tv and I’m not about to, just so I can justify paying $15/month on a mobile game.

I know you’re better than this Tomorrow Co.. Listen call me stupid for trying to talk to a company I get it but listen, whoever is reading this, if it’s the folks at Netflix or the actual Tomorrow Co. Games folks, I love these games, I would willingly pay again for a remaster of this game all over again, but I just can’t support a subscription for a service that I have literally no reason to want to use just so I can re-experience this game. I am willing to bet that Tomorrow Co. Games doesn’t actually know just what is going on with Netflix but please, whatever you can do, just know that as I fan I want this company and all its games to be available simply for the aspect of preserving something that made the childhood of mine and many others. I know that ya’ll are planning on making another game sometime as well, and I just hope this doesn’t mean you’re just gonna ride off the coattails of the old games and force a Netflix subscription on them, I don’t even know if this is gonna be seen by anything other than a bit programmed to reply to some stuff but please, don’t let some money from a greedy company ruin the possibilities that could come from this franchise and all the games in it, but it’s your final decision Tomorrow Co., your profits or your fans?

Netflix sub requirement?? REALLY?!. Man, I just wanted to download this game again and re-experience this game, and I get to the app store... "Huh, that's weird! Why's there a lil netflix logo on the icon?" I try to open it up and play... IT REQUIRES A NETFLIX SUBSCRIPTION?! I would've rather PAYED for the GAME! Not for flipping NETFLIX! Bottom line, maybe you wouldn't have a 90% piracy rate if this wasn't how you dealt with your players.

Amazing game!. I see a bunch of negative reviews here from people who played the original game. This game really holds it own amidst a sea of click bait ad-filled rubbish. If you’re someone who hasn’t played the original version of this game and are coming in with fresh eyes, you have nothing to worry about. Fantastic game, interesting and challenging puzzles. For the people who are complaining about needing a Netflix subscription to play, consider the other side for all the existing Netflix subscribers who get to play this and dozens of other titles for free. It’s not like you’re subscribing to Netflix just to play this game…

Thank you for bringing back my childhood 😊. I remember playing this on steam as a teen…those were the days. This remaster/port is adequate and has all the nostalgia and puzzling scenarios I need!

Boo, unplayable. There is no paid version for people without Netflix accounts. This is dumb. Netflix is such a bad company

Must be banned. Requires Netflix subscription

Error Code 7006. Game will not play. Wants me to log in to my Netflix account. When I do, it says “something went wrong, Error Code 7006.” I’ve downloaded and played other Netflix Games with no problem.

Music not optional. I’ll play the game when there’s an option to mute the game sounds. I listen to music and podcasts when playing games and I can’t with this one. Big sad

Netflix dropped the ball. The game itself is fantastic but this “remaster” is honestly a downgrade from the original. I’m not even gonna complain about needing a Netflix subscription (because who doesn’t have one?), but there are literally features removed from this version that were in the original mobile release. There are nice updates like holding more than one gooball and the better quality textures, but not being able to zoom, a lack of bug fixes, and no new content doesn’t really make this a remaster. Giving it three stars because the game is still great even with the issues

Childhood game 🤍. If you can’t turn on sound, check your sound button(if it’s on silence, it’s not gonna be music in game). I also was confused where’s sound. Thanks for this game. Only started, hope it’s gonna work well!

No. No instalen la app Netflix pide de todo

Arguably the Greatest Game Ever Made.. That title is not hyperbole. Check out the piles of prestigious awards it’s been given. Read the glowing professional reviews. You still won’t understand just how brilliant this game really is. It’s completely unique in so many fantastic ways, and it was all created by a tiny independent developer called 2D Boy. It’s got story, it’s got social commentary, it’s got physics like butter, it’s got beautiful artwork, it’s got gameplay that stimulates genuine creativity, and I could go on and on. But what really makes this game special is that playing it is an eye opening, enchanting experience. It’s thought provoking entertainment that’s engaging and so much crazy fun. When I first played WoG it changed my relationship with gaming forever. I won’t comment on the game’s unfortunate lockdown with Netflix, but I will say that this game is well worth playing under any circumstances. A phone is definitely not the best way to experience World of Goo, but if that’s your only option, then play it. Thank you 2DBoy for creating this gift.

Не тратьте время. Ремастер от нетфликс? Да еще и по подписке 16$ в месяц? Капец вы клоуны 🤡

Game sounds. So I already have a Netflix subscription thank god or I wouldn’t have got this game. But I am someone who loves listening to music while I’m gaming. For the life of me I can’t find a way to turn of the games own sound so I can listen to my own music. This is vital for me and many others who like doing this without both audios which often sounds horrid. For me personally it is a hindrance big enough that I have to think do I wanna play world of goo without my own music or do I play a different game that I can have my own music too. Mind you I got this game very recently so already having to decide between this game and diff game because of music is not good.

THANKS FOR THE NOSTALGIA. Simple game but brings back some good times

This game is amazing but they stole my money. I loved this game and paid for it but out of no where, they removed it from the App Store for like 2 weeks and then brought it back as "remastered" even though it's probably just the same game or if there is some improvements, then they probably also broke some things to. Anyway now the game is free to download but immediately upon opening the app, it requires you to sign into a Netflix subscription. I just bought the game less than a month ago (like right before they removed it) so now if I delete the app and try to search for it, the only one that will show up is the Netflix version so now even though I just bought it, I can no longer search for it to re-download it. Now you have to go to your App Store account, then go to "purchased" and you can search for it from there which I guarantee 99.9% of people will not know how to do. If you bought and paid for this game when it costed money, you pretty much no longer own it. They scammed you and took your money. If Netflix is reading this, let us who already paid for it play it.

I paid for this game a while back…. It is extremely disappointing that people now have to pay for a Netflix subscription to play this game. I used to absolutely love this game growing up. I refuse to pay a monthly subscription for a useless streaming service that I will never use. BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL AND STOP TRYING TO SCAM PEOPLE!!

Why doesn’t this have more great ratings. I love this game I am not sure why it has such few ratings and why they are so love. Seriously. I’m payed it years ago. Got nostalgic for it and just reinstalled.

… but the music!. I absolutely LOVE this game, but I can’t play it and listen to a podcast or audiobook because there is no way to turn off the game’s music! It is very irritating. I like the Goo balls little giggles and pops and the ambient sounds of wind (etc.), but the circus music gets annoying after a little while and completely drowns out anything else you might want to listen to.

Netflix account required!. Why would I need a streaming account to play this game? Makes no sense.

Great mobile port of a classic.. It’s world of goo. It’s good. I wish there were in game volume controls or a mute button to play your own music in the background

Disgraceful. What a disgrace. This should be banned from the App Store. You’re required to have a subscription to Netflix to play this game. So if all you wanted to do was play this that’ll be like $15 per month.

Cool game, wish there was more.. I don’t know why this game isn’t a five star game. It has a funny unique story line. The background music is not that bad. Also this puzzle is quick to understand how to play. It’s not boring like candy crunch. You can play whenever and stop playing if you need to go to the restroom and then come back later to play. I wish it had more puzzles though.

Wonderful game, seems to be missing audio. I remember playing world of goo when I was a young kid, and this does a great job of capturing the original gameplay; the graphics are high-resolution and it functions the same. However, it seems to be lacking audio— maybe I need to turn it on somehow, but the audio of the original game was a massive part of the experience. The soundtrack, sound effects, and ambience all came together to give the game its unique feel.

Needs to be able to turn off music. Like the game but hate not being able to turn off the music

Bug??. Mine doesn’t have sound

:). :)

Netflix gaming???. Why do I have to sign up to Netflix just to play a game that I had already owned previously. Major L

loved this game. i used to play this all the time on the wii. was my favorite game. i am just super disappointed in the fact that i cant play it on my apple tv. i would love to see it be used there one day!

Why do I need to pay?. I remember playing this game on my wii and I got really excited to play this game but it says I need to sign up to a Netflix subscription can you please tell me if there’s a way to play the game without having to get an Netflix subscription.

Understand game.. Very fun game I played on the Wii. Plays very well on the phone.

Wow. I played this game with my dad beat it to. It was a lot of fun oh my like favourite games back in like 2013-ish and now I need a Netflix subscription to play it again which is dumb since I kinda already owned it on the computer, it defeats the purpose of even having the game in the first place.

one of the greatest games of all time. if you haven’t played this before, don’t listen to the 1 star reviews. world of goo is probably tied with portal 2 for my favourite puzzle game of all time. that should say all you need to know. can’t wait for the upcoming sequel

You can’t play without netflix account. Garbage cable network
