Roomba Home Comments & Reviews 2026

Freezes. This has got to be one of the worst apps I have every use. The constant freezing and glitching make it almost impossible to operate my roomba properly and on a consistent basis. It never empties itself because the app freezes non stop. As someone who use older roombas with old app they worked great. This does not

Terrific update. Wish I could give it six stars 🥰

Broken buggy mess. App can be used to start a cleaning but that’s about it. I have a 16 pro max and this app crashes all the time. Will not allow me to edit my existing maps nor see the progress of cleaning on the map. The software for the actual roomba is buggy as well, going home to charge mid cleaning cycle with 70% of battery

Sorry I purchased. First I already own two roomba, was replacing the one with the 405 plus. Received on the end of March, it’s two weeks into April and still not working properly. Spoke with customer service 3 times, same problem, not mapping the whole house, and not responding to app. Bought directly from Roomba, who said I can get a replacement as soon as they get in stock, but have no idea when that would be, but if I had purchased on Amazon my replacement would have been delivered in two days. I’ve paid too much money for something that doesn’t work. I’ll be returning this to Roomba, hopefully my refund won’t be delayed. Really disappointed by this product and the process of correcting the problem.

Great improvements. The new Roomba app is a solid improvement over its predecessor. The interface is sleek, intuitive, and user-friendly, making it easy to navigate and control your device. One standout feature is the real-time tracking, which allows you to see exactly where your Roomba is cleaning and its progress - it's oddly satisfying to watch. The smart mapping and scheduling features are also useful for customizing your cleaning routine. While there's still room for minor improvements, overall, this app significantly enhances the Roomba experience.

Roomba for the win!. Love the new experience!

Nice idea. So glitchy I want to scream

My new Roomba vacuum only. I bought the new roomba 105 combo w/ empty trash bin only. I really love this vacuum. This is my 2nd roomba & this one is the best ever.

Full of bugs. This app “works” but it certainly has its bugs. I’m sure it will get worked out. Being a software engineer myself, I totally understand getting the product out and making updates for stability and functionality later, but this wouldn’t be up to my standards.. The app crashes all the time when trying to navigate the UI. Starting a map creation is touchy at best. I tried to make 2 maps, one for downstairs and one for upstairs. It went through the entire mapping only to not show up in the map screen 3 times. I had to delete the first mapping, completely turn off the vacuum and start over again. ( I had a cool idea of using and seeing the mapping for both stories of the house) Adding more than 2 no go zones and 2 no mopping zones proves to be a challenge, with the app saying try again later. Something that you can’t get past. Attempting to monitor the vacuum, sometimes results in the progress map going away, which I can maybe attribute to the robot being far enough away from its docking station that it looses connection to the dock? Losing the 2.4 WiFi connection does not seem plausible since it travels the farthest in the house and I have split SSIDs on a WiFi 7 router. Once the progress is gone, you are no longer able to view it. Which seems strange to me, since the vacuum is still running off dead reckoning and lidar to know its position and should still be updating via the app. There seems to be some sort of disconnect with what the app is saying and what the vacuum is doing. It’s a great concept but the execution needs refinement..

Very glitchy. While some functions work well, others do not. Spot cleaning function has never once worked. setting up automations works, but there is no way to edit the function or even see what operations are going to be done, you can only change the time/day. App locks up frequently and needs to restart. Was promote to fix the overflow drain and it said click here to see how, nothing happened when clicked. History tells you what area was done, but doesn’t say what was done in that area. Cleaning zones doesn’t always work. App needs a serious update/overhaul. I almost returned the unit because it’s so difficult to work in the app.

More like a downgrade :/. App does not update maps at all. Functionally useless compared to its predecessor.

Sweep and mop!. Love my new Roomba! It sweeps and mops and is self emptying. I set the days and times I want my bot to clean and it does. If it has a problem the app lets me know. Best home innovation we have ever purchased!!

Great app. I love how easy it is to select and clean individual rooms with the map in the app. Just tap the room you want cleaned—super simple and convenient. Being able to name rooms and set preferences makes it even better. Overall, a great app that makes cleaning less of a hassle

Stuck at firmware update. Terribly bad. No response at all do not use this app

App is Slow and doesn’t show….. App is very slow compared to original version. Also, it doesn’t show where it cleans every time. 3 times in a row there is no map of where it cleaned. This is even after rebooting the robot. This is a horrible experience.

Junk. Bought a j5 and it won’t allow me to create an account, I deleted the old account and now it won’t allow another account. Beware it’s not as easy to setup as they say, spent 2 hours trying had to give up. Anyone want a new iRobot!!!!!!

Cannot edit keep out zones.. The new app is quite buggy. For example, I find that I cannot delete an accidentally created keep out zone. When I try to edit a keep out zone, it duplicates instead of moving. Furthermore, the app is very slow to load. There is much work to do before this is truly usable in every day cleaning.

Be ready to self clean. Vacuum cleans the floor well but if you have a lot of females with long hair in the house, unclogging, the hair from the main brush is not easy. It all twines up underneath tithe green when and you need to really get in there to remove it.

Most features don’t work. Doesn’t show map of where my new model robot is or where it has gone, doesn’t show any cleaning history just a blank layout of the floor. My 7 year old roomba on the old app does all of these things with no problems. app will frequently not shut down on iPhone or iPad forcing to reset them. Says that connection to robot was lost due to battery being dead when it has 50% charge. Will not buy iRobot brand again if they don’t fix the app.

Smarter, faster & easier to use. Love the new roomba app ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

New robot works better. New robot with camera is much better at navigating my home than my old robots. It is cleaning faster and hasn’t gotten stuck once! I like how I can see it cleaning real time with this app. Support page is not working for me so please fix this.

Freezes. In two days since I got the Roomba 405, the application has frozen twice. Today it was really stuck trying complete a task and after 30 minutes I has to delete and reinstall the app.

Smooth. The app is very easy to navigate. It is always a smooth process.

No love for old users. App only works with products launched after March 2025 yet the app is 4+ years old with 4.8 stars? Sounds like gaming the app store system to artificially give this ‘new app’ a chance. Clearly iRobot doesn’t care about their user base. I have an old j8+ and I don’t get any of the new features (if there are any). I don’t recommend anyone continue doing business with iRobot, I for one will not be getting a roomba next time I need a new vacuum.

🥳 The Roomba app we’ve been waiting for!!! 🤩. This app makes me love using my Roomba! Easy to use and love the live mapping feature!

New app unusable. This app makes using my we roomba impossible. Also, a lot of promised features missing. I wish I could use the classic app for the new roombas.

Definitely Disappointed. App has a few bugs when trying to set up “no mop” and “keep out” zones. I always get the error message “something went wrong” when trying to use this feature. There is also a problem when trying to view the map of where the roomba is currently cleaning. The map will not show up and pulls up a blank screen.

iRobot is so back. 10/10 app. Not only is it more responsive, but the products it works with are so much better.

Improved Features. Intuitive interface makes it easy to start, stop, and customize cleaning routines, while smart mapping features allow for targeted room cleaning. Integration with voice assistants like Alexa and Google Assistant are convenient. While the app provides helpful cleaning history and maintenance alerts, there’s a slight learning curve from the old app but it’s easier to navigate. Overall, it’s a well-designed app that enhances the Roomba experience, it could benefit from improved user guidance.

Buggy. I have the app on a 7th generation iPad and some features just don’t work. The main problem is that when I try to edit the map by adding a keep out zone or splitting the room a menu gets stuck on my screen and I cannot remove it to merge rooms or split them. I split one of the rooms and now I cannot merge them and there is a no go zone in the middle.

Constantly fails to communicate with the robot. This app is incredibly buggy. Bought a 505 yesterday and have barely managed to accomplish anything so far. App is frequently unresponsive - press a button, long pause while “thinking”, then nothing happens and the button returns to black. Very hard to manage multiple maps (upstairs, downstairs) - robot seems fine with one but won’t recognise the other. Just keep pressing “start” - nothing happens. Tried rebooting through the app - you guessed it, nothing happens. Really hope for some improvements, iRobot really seems to be on the ropes against the competition and this isn’t going to help much!

Broken old app. Since this app was released it broke the old Roomba app. Now my Google Home cannot start my Roomba Essential Combo purchased November 2024. Pausing and ending a vacuuming session still works but I cannot actually start the vacuum with my voice assistant. IRobot hasn’t responded to any of my queries.

works better without cloud. I don’t understand how it works better without the app. Just press the button. I have to assume it’s planned obsolescence, or some kind of ploy to get you to but an extended warranty. It worked in the beginning, and suddenly it can’t find its way. If even one thing in the room is moved it suddenly gets stuck all the time. Using it without the stupid app that requires a wifi connection is actually *better*, but makes it so you can’t use the mop, rendering the extra money paid for that unit an utter waste. Regret spending the money. Buy literally any other robot vacuum. Get something that doesn’t require wifi and has a simple remote.

Best Vacuum-Must buy. I haven’t used the Roomba since they first came out years ago and was skeptical at first, but this one really blew my mind. Not having to clean the machine for 75 days is unreal. I just turned on the Roomba from the app and have it set on a schedule and I come home and my house is always clean. Got mine 50% off for $400. And knowing how good this machine is, if it was full price, I’d still pay for it. Don’t wait and go get yourself your Roomba

Rosie is Great!. Hit a snag setting it up initially, but got around it by changing a setting on my phone and have been humming along since. It is neat to see the robot in your 3D house. It does have an issue around our slider, as it can see our lanai and counts it as part of our house. I’ve tried to edit that portion out, but haven’t figured out how to do that portion, yet. Speaking of editing, it is super easy and a great option that provides the flexibility to make changes that the robot doesn’t readily identify correctly.

Frustrating App Design and Poor Product Consistency. I’ve owned several generations of Roomba robots, including the latest Roomba Max 705 Vacuum Robot. Over the years, I’ve experienced repeated issues with quality and have spent far too much money on replacements. The new Roomba Home app is the most frustrating part. It’s not user-friendly, with a confusing and overly complicated design. Simple functions — like controlling the dock or emptying the bin — are buried or nearly impossible to find. This is basic functionality that should be front and center. As a long-time customer, I’m completely dissatisfied with this experience. iRobot needs to focus on intuitive design and reliability instead of making things harder for loyal users.

Good functions, hard to use. This app, and the Roomba itself, have great functions. The use of the app, however is not easy. Things that should be easy, such as renaming the robot, are hidden from view, forcing me to search everywhere multiple times to try to find what I’m looking for. It’s as if the designer was getting paid more if he streamlined the look of the app to the point of being nearly impossible to use. It would have been much better to have an easy dropdown menu for everything in one place.

Works Great - bugs seemed to have been fixed. At first I was scared purchasing the robot as they said the app was glitchy but I got it last week and it works great! If the map room splitting glitches a little bit, try moving the marker, or exit the map and re-open it, that worked for me, other than that works flawless, robot is VERY accurate and pretty smart it remembers permanent objects it can’t see to some degree.

My floors are soooooo clean. I love this vacuum mop. It has changed my life. With two dogs and two kids I was having trouble keeping up with the mess but this can take care of everything without me even being home. It is a little slower than I expected and goes back to the dock a lot but maybe my house is just that dirty… it is also pretty loud when the vacuum empties. All that said, I am so happy we made this purchase and I would definitely recommend it. We have had it for about three weeks now with zero problems!

Awful UI. I’ve had the j7 combo previously. It used the iRobot home app. While that was not the best UI, it at least provided decent functionality. This app is horrible to navigate. Room sizing can only be done in squares, not rectangles, which most of my rooms are. Consequently my rooms encompass walls and parts of other rooms just to get certain floors cleaned. I’ve yet to figure out how to rename rooms or cleaning areas because it is not intuitive. It would be great to turn off the light when docked, but I have yet to find that option. The roomba itself seems to work great but the app is frustrating. I miss the set it and forget it of the iRobot home.

Expensive Splurge causing more work. Why did I treat myself to an upgraded roomba that doesn’t work properly. The app is not all that user friendly, and the robot doesn’t work properly. The bin isn’t emptying. But the app doesn’t notify me of that. Instead, I noticed it not functioning after seeing my floors aren’t clean. I’ve had it about a month and have already replaced parts that shouldn’t require replacing yet. The green roller is so flimsy that hair can tear it. Literally just having long hair. I am extremely frustrated! I should’ve paid attention to the reviews…because frankly, a 5 star rating is incredibly suspicious. Are you selling a good product or as a company using bots to create fake reviews and scam us?

Redeemed!. I had several concerns when I first received the new Roomba 405. The app seemed very glitchy and I actually returned the robot for a replacement. Once the firmware was updated, the replacement robot has been operating at 99% accurate or above. This is truly the Roomba that I was hoping for when I made the purchase. I have a pretty complicated home layout and the app has been working flawlessly in both mopping, vacuuming, and combination mopping and vacuum modes.

Best purchase in a long time!. This is the most amazing home appliance EVER! I live in a desert and it’s constantly dusty! This machine with its customizable schedule has really made it a breeze to clean up! I can finally walk around barefoot without having to worry about feeling stuff on the bottom of my feet! I’m waiting for the cleaning solution to come in before I use the mop feature. If it’s as good as the vacuuming/sweeping, I’ll be in heaven! The only regret I have so far is not purchasing the best model! 10/10 WOULD recommend!

Fun but learning curve. A very useful tool. I was hoping it would be better at learning to navigate around obstacles. As it is, it’s painfully slow at getting around the same old chairs that have been there since the beginning. Also, it would be nice if I could turn the volume up a bit. I don’t think anyone over 60 would be able to hear the voice prompts. On the plus side, it does a pretty good job of cleaning up and the software makes it a snap to separate or combine areas so that I can, for instance, vacuum all the carpeted areas and mop the wooden floors.

Wonderful product (great gift). I purchased this Roomba for my mom‘s home and she just loves it. I was surprised how easy it was to set up as I am not text savvy; however, the mapping software and the set up were quick and easy. I love that I can also remote connect to it, monitor its use, and have it clean rooms in the house for my mom when she’s not feeling well; plus we connected it to her Echo Spot, so she can just as Alexa.

Most Excellent Little Robot. I had an earlier version of this device from 10 years ago. Night and day difference compared to today’s device. The current one independently maps the whole house then goes to and cleans just the areas you request. It improves the map over time and doesn’t require any physical boundaries be placed to keep it working where you requested. Then it finds home base, empties its bin and recharges for another routine when you set. Wonderful machine!

Way better then the earlier generations. I was iffy when my boyfriend bought this one because the other one I have is really noisy. It’s always getting stuck or lost behind a door and I have to consistently empty it with the three dogs here in the house. I would absolutely recommend this newest one that we have. It mops lightly and sweeps enough so I don’t have to do it every other day like I used to. It’s much quieter than the first gen I have.

Why have two?. The other Roomba/iRobot app is so much better! This app is hard to use and some features seem like the devs have never even used them like drawing a stay our zone… what a pain! Also wish there was a review like the other app that would allow you to add stay out zones based on issues during the run. If it gets stuck there every day the option to just add a stay out zone is super nice in the other app. Maybe take some time and compare the apps. I bought a second Roomba based on my experience with the first robot and the app… I feel a bit bait and switched that this one uses a less superior app that I’m stuck with.

Unable to delete incomplete mapping. The current software causes my Roomba to malfunction during incomplete mapping. A mapping run does not complete—either because the Roomba cannot locate the docking station or because I manually cancel the mapping The software also incorrectly reports that a new room has been discovered, even though no new room exists. The software does not provide an option to delete these incomplete or incorrect maps. Despite canceling the mapping process, the Roomba retains the unfinished map in memory and repeatedly attempts to resume it, which affects normal operation. The previous (classic) software handled this situation more reliably, and I does not create this issue.

Smart and worth the xtra cost. I had a previous robot that got ruined during a hurricane and so I bought another robot vacuum. It didn’t map out rooms and it didn’t have much features. I was not pleased with it that it just randomly vacuums and makes its own patterns. The extra money I spent for this one which wasn’t much is so much better. The fact that I can set it to only focus on certain rooms and howextensive I want it to be cleaned or even mopped is fantastic.

Happy customer. This is my second Roomba. My first was the 880. It has come a long way since then. The LIDAR technology works well. Mapping was very easy. This is a great tool for maintenance. Put it on a schedule and you’re good. Once in a while, you will still need to do a thorough job yourself because there are areas it just will never get to. But that’s to be expected at this point. We don’t have a walking talking robot yet!

Great app great product. This app is easy to go through. The only thing I would like to have is being able to pick where you want the Roomba to start and when you want the Roomba to end because in one room, it starts at the front that ends at the end, then leaves a big old line in the middle of my carpet, which is sort of a iron sore so they can fix this so we can pick what we want no robot to start and end that would be great and pick the direction you wanted to go that would be great

Better interface. Would like improvement on the scheduling. I like the interface better than the old with one caveat. On the scheduling functionality there is no way to see or edit the various options on the job. Only option is to change dates / times. Otherwise if you forget what you selected or want to change you will need to delete the schedule and redo it. Can’t even see what you selected. This is rather annoying. Also the app doesn’t refresh very often in sync with the vacuum. Otherwise I do like the new design

Love this Roomba. This is a favorite house product. I gave 2 children my older models and they are still going strong through pets and children. My current Roomba is awesome. I love being able to watch it on the app. It vacuums really well. I have not used the mop yet but I am sure it will be great. Over Christmas we had a 2 year old and a dog staying and Roomba has picked up all the left behind hair and crumbs the dog didn’t find. Highly recommend Roomba.

Great app overall. I would say the app is overall great but it feels a bit BETA. I would add in more furniture option, let the person himself adjust the boundaries of the map because it sometimes gets some little things wrong even after re-tracing the map again. I have had some bugs where the robot is set to vacuum then mop and it vacuums the borders and goes straight into mopping and some more little bugs.

“Hazel”. So far impressed! She’s tireless! She knows when to switch between mopping and vacuuming carpets as she goes around. She’s very communicative! Let’s me know when she needs to stop and return to the station to clean her mops. Tells me when I’m failing to keep her water tank full and to empty the waste water tank. Not bossy at all! She loves to go under chairs (dining & bar) and beds to make sure she catches everything. If she missed any area she goes back. Sorry, she’s doing the living and dining room… too busy to give any interviews.

Frustrating, chick digs it tho.. Works pretty good, most areas are clean and mopped. Don’t expect corners or much close to edges. But the process to exclude something as simple as a rug is infuriating. Why not just give access to the unit’s pictures and delineate an area? Making a no-go zone and when you adjust the area it’s adjusting the whole square when you want to simply move a single side. The most tiny bit of AI would make this impressively easy and I hope they are planning on implementing that. Especially for the price tag.

So many issues. I spend as much time clearing out the clogged roomba as it would take to sweep the doors. it has yet to ever once actually put the dirt into the collection bag. It just stays in the roomba units chamber, time spent helping it get unstuck from areas for sudden reasons that haven’t been issues before, it running out of battery, not connecting to the charging station properly and so not changing when I think it is. Keeps disconnecting from WiFi Very few times does a cleaning happen issue free. I’d definitely go with a different robot vacuum company when this one craps out completely- I’m guessing sooner than later

Amazing Vacuum. Absolutely love this vacuum. Cleans efficiently like no other. The only complaint I have is that you have to use the app to get it to resume operations after an issue is fixed. I don’t always have my phone so I have to go grab it to see what the error is and then resume operations or restart it. Honestly though….I would rather deal with this tiny inconvenience over using any other vacuum again lol.

Live Activities Don’t Work. I only get a live activity that says “Starting Roomba” and it never updates. It also won’t go away once it’s finished cleaning. I’ve tried turning it off/on in Settings. I’ve also toggled more frequent updates in settings - no changes. Must be a bug, but it must be fixed since it’s a waisted feature that would otherwise be extremely helpful and intuitive. There needs to be a Notification Center in the app- I’ll get notified to clean my brush but can’t refer back to the notification for more details. Otherwise, having the user guide easily available helps with regular maintenance.

Irrecoverable errors. I have uninstalled and reinstalled this app multiple times along with returning an old 405 unit and exchanging it for another. I don’t know if it’s the robot or the app but this product is extremely buggy. The app enters an irrecoverable state constantly anytime the robot Gets confused… Which happens a lot. For example, I set the robot to run overnight and it got stuck in the legs of a chair. I could forgive that, but the app apparently doesn’t understand that the roomba’s power died. Even when I manually placed it on the charger the app still thinks it’s in cleaning mode. Attempts to cancel or pause the routine do not work. This has happened numerous times in the past, and I don’t know the solution other than a hard reset of the robot. Absolute garbage.

Operation with drop off. This has over 30 feet of drop off around the edge and it works absolutely fine senses the whole edge maps it out and then cleans everywhere around objects that are in the room with no problem and also cleans the larger area that has many obstacles around all benches and everywhere and does it completely. I use three different locations to set up the base in three different room areas and it all works good

Robot great, App and map management not so much.. The inability to create no-go zones which are not rectangular is a problem for homes which have layouts and furniture positions which are not designed on “squares”. There are many mapping/image applications which allow for polygonal segmentation so I would expect a “technology” company like Roomba should be able to up their game on this. Also the app seems to still be very bug-riddled when it comes to editing maps and adjusting zones. It frequently fails with “Something went wrong” when trying to move or delete zones.

Works great for a couple months. This is my second roomba in 2 years. They work great for first 2-3 months. Then the software errors begin. I always update my app with latest version, but Roomba constantly gets lost, stuck on thin pile carpets it’s previously climbed over with ease, etc. The last straw was with the worldwide DNS error/outage yesterday, my Roomba app suddenly lost the map of my house as a result, and despite remapping and resetting Roomba, it can’t establish its location even to vacuum a single room anymore. I’ve only had this Roomba for 3 months and I’m livid. Roomba has a great concept but they need to iron out the many issues. $300 for a vacuum that works for 3 months is ridiculous.

It does a great job. The Roomba vacuum works really good when it comes to cleaning, the battery doesn’t last long, before it can finish my areas that I selected it has to go back on the charger. Then once it charges it will comeback and finish the job. I do notice it goes from doing room 1 to room 2 and then back to room 1, which I thought it would do one room at a time and then go to the next once it’s done with one room. I have it set to do 3 different rooms.

Powerful & smart little thing. I love it! My husband bought it for me for my birthday. I put off setting it up because I thought I would have to read a lot of directions, etc. To my surprise, it was incredibly simple! Just plug in, charge, and let her go! She figures it all out from scratch and makes a map of your house. Now I just tell her what room(s) I want her to clean and she’s off! Easy peasy!! I thought my English Bulldog would be scared of it, but she actually loves to follow it around. They keep eachother busy! lol

Success where others failed. My 4th iRobot and the 1st to actually manage its own business without constantly requiring me to rescue it. I guess you get what you pay for. This thing can negotiate everything the flummoxes the others - not getting wedged under furniture, not trying to eat shoelaces, not dying in the middle of the room with dead battery. Expensive but worth it for one reason - it actually works.

Roomba 405. I’ve had other robot vacuums, but having the ability to map the floor plan and turn on and off mopping features for areas that have rugs makes things so much easier. Also blocking off areas where the kids have toys and selecting rooms to clean is such a game changer. It allows you to clean certain rooms either on a schedule or on demand without worrying about cleaning everything off the floor on the entire level of the house.

First time Roomba owner. First week and and am thrilled to have this help at home. The app is easy to use. Once the map was created I was able to edit it further and name each room. I have set up 3 schedules, M,W,F rooms to vacuum, T & Th rooms to vacuum, and Saturday to vacuum the guest room and guest bath. Everything has been intuitive and easy figure out in the app. I even love that you can order which rooms to vacuum first, second, etc within each automation. I have not tried the mop feature yet.

5 Star Review!. I absolutely love my Roomba! It has completely changed the way I keep my home clean. It picks up dirt, dust, and pet hair so well—even in areas I didn’t realize needed attention. I love how easy it is to schedule and how it navigates around furniture without any issues. It saves me so much time and keeps my floors looking freshly cleaned every day. If you’re looking for a reliable, low-maintenance way to keep your home tidy, this is definitely worth it. Highly recommend!

I am SO grateful. I’ve had some pretty severe medical issues over the last few years. It’s a consequence of that keeping my home clean has been challenging. Sometime now I’ve been using a Roomba to vacuum my floor and only recently added the new device, which also cleans my them as well. Having not only a tidy home but a clean home is important to my health and well-being. I am so grateful it was worth a penny.

Needs Faster Internet. I purchased an iRobot combo Roomba last December. It started to drop the connection and wasn't working at all...very frustrating because it did a great job when working. The company replaced the unit for me and it started just fine. However started losing connection. I invested my Internet speed and discovered the issue. So, be sure your Internet is strong enough...speed...add boosters around your home for a good signal. I love my Roomba...it's like having a personal housekeeper.

My floors have never looked better!!!. I absolutely love my Roomba! It works incredibly well and has made such a difference in how clean my floors stay. I can control it right from the app on my phone, which makes it super convenient to turn on no matter where I am. My floors have truly never been this clean. The only thing I wish is that it was a little cheaper so I could have one on every level of my home — that’s how much I love it!

Works well. This is our third roomba, our first was the simple one that would run when a button was pressed and did ok. Our second is smart, it made a home plan and it avoids obstacles, even sends pictures of such obstacles. This new one has many glitches, the app that runs it is a different one, we have two apps, one per. Also, It does not avoid obstacles (having dogs that’s a major concern), we haven’t figure out how to make the app work, I tried a daily schedule routine, but it doesn’t work. The vacuum runs at odd times, and it misses its charger about half the time

Needlessly complicated mapping. This is not a review of my roomba vacuums - this is a review specific to the app and the functionality of the mapping. The mapping works great when there are no problems but it struggles when there is any modification that needs to be made such a moving the dock. It essentially will need to remap the full floor. This would not be a problem except the do not enter zones and splitting rooms up is not intuitive. The mapping also cannot differentiate with mirrors nor are you able to indicate an area is a reflection. It has to be labeled as a do not enter zone. I wish the developers would take a look at how to make this app more intuitive. I’ve literally never used an app that has frustrated me more.

Needs improvement. It’s nice that you can set the Roomba for different rooms and to just vacuum, or vacuum and mop. On the downside though, it still leaves stuff on the carpet when it vacuums the carpet, and you have to take the mop pad off in order for it to get on the carpet. The Roomba doesn’t handle transitions from doorways very well with the mop pad on and it doesn’t handle thick rugs for the same reason. You literally have to take the mop pad off and let it vacuum everywhere and move obstacles like rugs out of the way even the large area rugs, when the mop pad is on.

Decent app. It is missing a lot of key components from the prior app. As well as it is missing buttons in the app. Such as the resume button if it gets stuck. It is impossible to resume the job if you have child lock on because you can’t resume in the app so you’ll have the press the physical button. It used to also be able to tell the difference between carpet and hard wood too. Which it doesn’t appear to do that anymore. There is also very limited furniture options. So it thinks most everything is a tv stand. Its a good app but it definitely needs a lot of fine tuning.

Best helper ever!! Roomba 10/10. I just purchased my first Roomba about 6 weeks ago and I love it!! I am fascinated by its capabilities and marvel at watching “Rosie” (from the Jetsons) clean without complaint. Having used it frequently by now, I will say there are a few things that I would modify or could have spent more money for the extra features ie: a more user friendly mobile app, more versatility to direct the device from app. My biggest regret is that I didn’t get one sooner!

Robot path stuck on loading now…edit: fixed now. Worked great for a week. Now the app gets stuck on loading when the vacuum starts cleaning. It used to actively show the path the vacuum was taking. Now it just shows loading but the vacuum time estimate still functions. Quite a bummer. I like seeing the path. Unfortunately it stopped working. Edit: app started working properly again. Not sure what the issue was but maybe an app update helped?

Roomba app & cleaner. The Roomba app is NOT very user friendly….not like the previous app. I cannot do find what I need on this app, Roomba Home. As for the Roomba cleaner….it rates a 5. Half of the time it cleans the whole house as scheduled. Other times it gets “stuck “ in the middle of the floor or just does part of the house. This Roomba disconnects from WiFi frequently. I have not changed location of Roomba base or WiFi. It also does not have a good cleaning pattern and doesn’t clean close to walls. I can vacuum after my Roomba and get A Lot of dirt. This Roomba is ok….DEFINITELY NOT WORTH the price I paid!! I feel robbed.
