Vermont Association of Snow Travelers (VAST) brings an enhanced version of its web application to your pockets, making for a better riding experience than ever. Working both with and WITHOUT mobile data coverage, you will be able to enjoy the app’s functionalities no matter where you are on the trails.
This app gives you access to the following *OFFLINE* features, anywhere, anytime, even in areas without cell coverage:
► See your location on the map through your phone’s GPS signal
► View nearby restaurants, gas stations, hotels, parking, and other services
► Access the trail conditions as per the last data connection available
► See the distance between you and a specific point
► Quickly save and load itineraries
Getting back to a zone with mobile coverage? Enjoy these additional *ONLINE* features :
► Keep an eye on updated trail statuses for the best riding experience
► Easily meet with friends by sharing your position with each other (no one else can see your location)

VT VAST Snowmobile Trails Comments & Reviews 2026
Pretty good. This app is pretty good, but it doesn’t seem to update regularly with the grooming status. I often see social media posts with grooming updates from the clubs that are not reflected on the app. The colors that were chosen to indicate grooming status are not very clear at all, and some of them, barely even show up due to low contrast with the background app. I also don’t understand why there are two options for gas, lodging, parking, etc. Overall, though, pretty good and clearly shows which trails are open or closed. Condition, not so much.
Parking. Overall, app is decent. I would like to see more parking labeled. I see points of interest but if a spot allows parking, it would be very helpful if that could be noted.
Accurate and easy to use.. I always enjoy using the VAST app. It’s easy to use, accurate and great for planning rides. Thank you VAST.
Good upgrade. It’s a pretty good upgrade but still trying to figure it all out.
Needs roads layer. Just downloaded and checked out most of the features. One key feature missing is a layer to show roads - especially needed in the event of a breakdown or emergency.
Vast app. Good. Why do we have to pay for more in-depth detail that was free
Trail updates 👎. Very slow trail updates and seems like people in charge of updating app don’t know how. Not hating. Just our only source of knowing if trails are open. Other than facebook which is also considerably slow. It’s only the coolest thing Vermont has to offer let’s do better. Also people plan trips around trail conditions
Waypoint. Very good app. Is there a way to add a waypoint like on the old VAST App? If not, could that be a feature added? Thanks!
New App. I like the new app. Big improvement over the prior version.
Maps blurred. Maps is blurry but if you know the trail numbers you can navigate. I’m guessing it gets clearly if you pay. Use to be a good app
