Can’t buy tickets on iOS. This app does not let you buy tickets on iOS. The only option you have is to top up your Navigo pass. Pity!

No tap to Enter line??. The convenience of having a reloadable pass vs the tickets is quite nice, however even after loading my Navigo Easy pass to the app (scanning it), if I try to tap the iPhone 13 pro to use the pass on my phone, it opens Apple Pay (and the app can’t be added as a transit pass), so I have to use the physical Navigo Easy card. Also, after scanning the pass, the app does not continue to show the remaining number of tickets unless I rescan. This seems like a huge gap in functionality unless I’m missing something.

Invaluable app. Apart from a small blip when it wouldn’t let me through the turnstile (man in kiosk let us through after confirming ticket was valid) this app was fabulous with route choice and speedy access to metro.

Great for tourists. This app is great for tourists in Paris to figure out where to go with the subway.

Your best tool while visiting Paris. I’m using this app everyday to get around Paris and get the best use of the unlimited metro pass! This app will give you better directions than Google map by finding the best routes using the metro system. For example, while Google map shows routes with bus rides or suggests train routes with longer walk time, this app found better routes multiple times. Highly recommended.

Not updated to reflect true schedules.. Two things: 1) Bus arrival times are ALWAYS a suggestion. 2) Bus 63 won’t go to Fondation Louis Vuitton until 2024 because of roadwork, but this app doesn’t tell you - it still shows it as a functional route.

Billed me but didn’t recharge card. Tried to refill my card, and the app billed me through Applepay but didn’t add the ticket to my Navigo Easy card. Luckily it was just 1 ticket, so I only lost 2.10 euro. This app is unreliable, so best to recharge cards at stations.

Error when charging Navigo card or iPhone. New version displays error page and won’t allow recharging tickets on Navigo card or directly on iPhone 15 pro w iOS 17.5.1..

Paris Metro Travel Zones 1-5. Excellent option for public transit in and around Paris. Beware however American Express and Mastercard not accepted. Need a Visa card to purchase tickets with the app before loading your Navigo Pass. Otherwise this would be a 5-star review.

100% Must Use App. For a first time traveler to Paris, I felt like I was with the locals. Such precise locations and times of when to get on and off the train, felt like reading a recipe to cook book. Easy to use and color coordinated with the map of the train areas. Also gave out walking distance from your destination and a map of where to walk to. Shows different times and locations if you miss your train time. The subway system is so fascinating there.

App discourages Metro use. Distances are often incorrect (“walk 1.1 mile in 7min”). Requires re-entering your email address to buy a ticket. Every time. Even when logged in. Frequent payment failures. Overall poor experience vs. NYC or London tube contactless & app-free rides.

Excellent way to buy transit tickets. No city or transit system in the US has anything as convenient and easy to use as the RATP app. Ticket pricing is reasonable on top of this. Wonderful in every way.

Great Metro App. Super — far better than the Exit Strategy app for the NY subway system. We’ve met other tourists here in Paris & advised them to get this app. Thank you.

BEST METRO AP PARIS. It’s simply perfect. Works fast and clear. Use it each and every metro ride.

Such potential but bugs bugs bugs. Was so hopeful this would solve Paris transport woes and avoid the cute and ubiquitous yet annoying paper tickets. UPDATE - the system detected that the tickets weren’t actually issued and automatically refunded both charges. Increasing my rating to 4 stars now and relieved that this worked out correctly - still not 5 due to confusion on what was going on and login quirks but much less of a problem than I thought. Relieved! Old review : Unfortunately I lost 8.60€ because I swiped or clicked something wrong and it didn’t immediately add the new transit card to my Apple wallet, and my daughter lost 2.15€ because she is too young to have a payment card on her phone (she’s 12 and paid for her ticket using Apple Cash). The app asked for multiple email addresses in different places and doesn’t keep a purchase history in the app. Be careful with this app- make sure you’re somewhere with a good internet connection and take your time following the steps the first time. And make sure there are no typos in your email address for the receipt since it doesn’t automatically fill this field for you. I think once you get it set up the first time it will be fine for subsequent uses but kind of bizarre that it takes your payment before the transit card is properly set up since that’s the step that failed for me on two different phones for two different reasons. Also should just use one email address throughout and auto-fill it to avoid typos.

RATP Incompetence. Keeps advertising tickets can be purchased on line: FALSE ADVERTISEMENT -> requires navigo pass so STATE IT dimwits! If you cant purchase tickets, this app is cumbersome and useless, use gmap instead!

Getting around Paris. This is the best app to get around Paris. It is clear and accurate. Even works for walking.

Not for tourists. If you are a tourist this app is only good for checking schedules, because to buy tickets with the app you need a Navigo card, and to buy a Navigoa card you have to be a resident in France.

Great find. Someone mentioned this app, it’s helped out tremendously in the travel around Paris.

Doesn’t work with apply pay. Can’t buy tickets. This app is 100% useless. It’s not connected to anything to allow u to buy tickets. I’m on a bus now and bus driver said I can’t pay. So stupid. Should be able to just tap my phone and go like in NYC.

Activation Error 1016. I keep getting the Error 1016 when trying to activate my account. It’s been two days so far. You only get five days to try.

A Useful App. This is a well considered app to help me plan my trip and purchase tickets.

Can't imagine visiting Paris without it. This app was used multiple times on every day of our trip to Paris, it was incredibly helpful. If you don't know the Paris Metro by heart, you need this app.

Perfect for anyone getting around in Paris. Has all public transportation options. You can also compare time it will take to get to your destination if you walk, drive, bike or scoot. Map of the lines is included as well.

Riddled with advertisements. Advertisements have no place in official public transport applications and should be removed; it’s not like we’re not paying for the service.

Quick and easy to help navigate the Paris metro.. We used the app to navigate around Paris for 5 days. Works quickly and can be used along with the maps in the stations to get you where you want to go.

Doesn't read card.. I've had a Navigo card for my trip to Paris and I have tried countless times to have this app read my card so I can add value from my phone but it never has been able to read my card. I think this system needs to be seriously fixed because it does not work as promised.

Easy!!. As an American in Paris this app was easy to use. It directed me from my hotel to the Metro and also to Airport. Highly recommend!!! Dont use the third party apps, i tried and found them clunky and not user friendly

Doesn’t support buying tickets without a navigo pass. Want to buy tickets for your visit to Paris? Don’t have a pass already? Sorry, this app isn’t for you. Find a paper ticket vending machine instead.

Doesn’t work 😢. I have an Iphone and when trying to buy tickets it only shows me the ‘You are ready?’ Or read pass, nothing for buying a ticket.

*Phenomenal* app. This app is so easy to use, accurate (e.g., when next train is coming), has real-time updates (e.g., line closures due to strikes - and there are so many! - or construction), etc. Two of my *favorite* features? Because this app is made by the RATP itself (i.e., real locals on the ground), it knows how critical it is to tell you not only which metro stop to use, but also precisely which of the many numbered exits at such metro stop to use, and which metro cars (e.g., front, middle, end of the train) you should choose in order to be closest to said exit upon arrival. For example, at a HUGE and complicated station like Chatelet, where multiple lines meet, and different exits can themselves be several minutes’ walk apart, this is verrry useful to know. Also, you can buy tickets and top up metro passes (I believe you need to first *have* a rechargeable metro pass to do either task) on the app itself - so convenient! I’ve spent tons of time in Paris as both a temporary resident and a tourist since the ‘90s (the days of using my Paris Par Arrondissement and my paper(!) Carte Orange to get around) - this app is a revolution!

Their App not working - I get a fine - make that make sense. I bought a weekly pass on the app. It didn’t work at the turnstile. The ticket agentat the entrance let me in, and then another agent gave me a €35 fine at my transfer. I showed the agent my weekly pass on the app and that my tickets were valid. She still made me pay the fine. - avoid using the app

Want back the original French version of the RATP app. Why is this stupid app in English? It’s nothing like the original version. I unwittingly updated the original app and now this is what I’m stuck with ... :(

Error message when buying tickets. This app gives an error message when attempting to book tickets indicating the iPhone iOS needs to be version 13 or higher. My phone has been updated to iOS 16 but will not allow me to utilize the buy ticket function

So easy.. I wish the NYC apps and subways systems were as user friendly and efficient as this is. A must when visiting.

Essential Time Saver. This app saved us so much time by giving us the best options on how to get around Paris. One of the most useful travel apps I have used.

A must download for Paris public transportation. NYC MTA really needs to copy this app. It even tells you where to get on the train (front middle or rear of the car) and which exit to take from the metro stations to get to your destination. Love this app. Wish we had this in NYC but you’d have to pay for it because nothing is free in America.

Easy to use!. Great app just punch in your destinations and you get your routes!

Terrible. Purchasing a Navigo card is unnecessarily complicated, as it can only be done via a vending machine despite the existence of an app. Once you have the card, you must validate and scan it through the app. I repeatedly faced technical difficulties while trying to purchase a refill. The process requires scanning the card, purchasing the refill, and then scanning the card again to load the refill, but the final step consistently fails. For a city like Paris, this system is highly inefficient. In contrast, Berlin’s system is straightforward: you simply purchase a pass through their app and it’s done—no additional steps required.

Impossible to buy ticket. Cannot create account. “an issue has occurred please try again later”

Cuddos to the app developers. Visiting Paris and love riding the trains. Incredible how easy this app makes getting around. Just like Waze you input a destination but it converts your route to all the pieces you need to get from point A to B, including what exits to take from the metro, where to position yourself on the metro for an easy exit, and then showing you the final walking instructions. So impressive!

Support not available. Bought a pack of tickets, got charged, can’t find them and I get an error whenever I contact support. What a joke. I even speak french and Can’t find a legit way to contact them!!!!

Absolutely fantastic. I never leave reviews for apps, but this was such an incredible experience I had to. I am on a trip to Paris with my 70-something year old mother and the fact that I can manage both her and my own Navigo card myself on the go is amazing. The only difficulty was purchasing the Navigo card, but after we were able to get them by struggling in broken French, it was a breeze from then.

In French. It’s all in French, which I can only read a little. If you can get it in English I have no idea how to make that happen because all the help section and facts are in French. Might be good app, but I have no idea since it is unusable for me.

Routes with “closed access” stations. Why would you send me on a route with a tiny warning that, oops, the suggested line can’t actually be accessed that day at the suggested station???

iPhone 6S User. Why allow download on an iPhone 6S and then advise that iPhone 7 or later is required to purchase tickets? Ridiculous

Essential to have. Aa a newly arrived Australian French resident, navigating Paris is a breeze. So much easier than last time I was here!

Really useful app. This is a really useful app and is invaluable when planning a trip to Paris. My only criticism is that it seems to crash constantly when viewing the maps.

A must have for Paris travellers who are planing to use public transport. This app is brilliantly designed to help you plan your travel within Paris and regional Paris effectively and efficiently using the extensive Paris public transport network (bus, metro, regional train). The app helps you plan: what bus/train to take, which station to go, where the station is (detailed map), where you are in real time (GPS tracking when signal is available), updated Paris public transport map, and many more excellent features. Must say the real time Gps tracking is pretty accurate. The app is pretty much very smooth, it hardly ever crashes but there are a few improvements or suggestions i would like to add: metro map automatically zooms out from where you zoom in when you close the rapt app (to use other app or just temporarily close it); after finding a plan, when there is no internet, you can’t really see all the stations - tourists usually don’t have internet, they normally just use free wifi, find a trip/plan on the app and then go off to take the train/bus; therefore it would be great if you can save/download a plan so you can go back and retrieve it especially when there is no internet (there is an existing function where it allows you to export a plan to app note but somehow it didn’t work on my phone); adding a feature where the app notifies you when you get to your station would be nice (essential for tourists).

Easy app to use. We were advised to download this app and have found it very useful. We only wish some of the railway station staff were as helpful as the app. As travelling from Australia with little to no French language skill some of the staff were just rude. The was one very helpful staff member that shone through.

Great content, but ads prevent its use. It does the job: it's fast, it's easy to use.. Unfortunately, the ads at the bottom hide important buttons (like to get the next train etc)...

Essential for Paris!. Well thought out app, clear list of ‘how to get there’ options, clear list of stops, which direction you’re going, where to sit for fast exit, which entrance to use (needed for Chatelet!)

Seriously good app. As a tourist this app was a god send in Paris. The options let you preference faster travel time, less walking, etc. a tourist essential.

Limited use. It is of limited use, firstly I had to upgrade the iOS to use this app. Why? It takes 3 hours over Hoyle wifi and then the app is useless. It cannot be used to buy a ticket between csg and ory airports if you want to take the tree and orlyval route.

Bad assumption by developers. The developers seem to assume that nobody would ever want to buy a ticket on a tablet. Clearly they’ve never used an iPad mini. A crazy oversight.

Fantastic! Must Have App!. If you are traveling Paris at all and planning on taking transit then you have to download this app. Works on and offline which is so good. The route finder is so simple and works amazing and quick to tell you what trains, buses etc. to take and switch on and off. A very very well designed app for travellers in Paris and riding transit. Thank you!!!

Stop the Video Ads!!!!. This has been a wonderful app that has made living in Paris much easier HOWEVER the latest update is auto-running video advertising, fortunately only on my tablet and not my phone (so far). I find the static, visual ads annoying but tolerable but the videos must stop! Or you must let me pay to get rid of them. I can't have my tablet suddenly making so much noise. It is very rude and disruptive to those around me. Either that, or I have to keep my sound turned off, or stop using the app on my tablet.

RATP, Navigo app then a card? Muet ou muette. RATP app has an option to buy a ticket that leads you to the Navigo app, which requires you to scan your physical Navigo card. Some needs to be fired for this hot mess. You should be able to buy a ticket inside the app. Aggregate the steps. Make it simple to buy. One step.

Nouvelle version nulle. Bien joué la RATP : sous couvert d'un nouveau design vous avez rendu une votre app complètement nulle. Impossible de vérifier l état du trafic des bus ou les manifestations en cours. La recherche d adresse exactes fonctionne moins bien et la clarté des informations a diminué ... C'est triste ...

L’appli RATP est top. Pour mon premier voyage à Paris, y’a que l’appli RATP qui m’a sauvé la vie!!!!

Missing data. App does not have data for SNCF trains (Transilien) and suburban buses in Ile se France (Optile).

Don't go to France without this app!. Spent a week in Paris and this app was a huge help! Great for navigating public system in Paris. You will not be disappointed.

Ok. I don't seem to see anything new. Bothering thing ---- It erased all the itineraries I had previously saved. Extremely bother thing #2 They could have made the exits of the stations more easy to identify. But they are there. A lot of changes to the interface, but why? Where exactly is the improvement? I'm not having the same problems the other reviewers seem to be having. Working, it's working. It's just seems more untidy than it was before.

Idea is good, but not well executed. One thing I don't like about other Transport APP is that I have to pick a station as my starting point or destination, but this app allows you to choose a specific address as your departing point and destination. This is very practical, especially when it also includes the Bus system. For example, I'm close to two different stations of two different lines, with this app, it will tell you which stain is more practical to get to your destination while other normal app needs you to choose in the first place a station to show you how to get to your destination. However, this app is badly designed, it's buggy, laggy, not like an iOS app, not to mention a good one. Hope the dev team will improve the app and it will become more and more fluent and responsive.

A disaster!. This app is terrible. I had to use it for the buses as google maps doesn't seem to have access to this information anymore. The bus schedule is not accurate, the walking directions between stops are total non-sense, the addresses are not recognized when you type them. I wish google maps would presents the buses and trams.

Great asset for Paris visitors. I don’t know what I’d do without this app. It is especially useful at nights when waits can be long. Also during the metro strike frequently work-arounds were necessary. The app really helped.

Frustrating and useless!. It wasn't able to produce one single itinerary, not one. It could be a great app if only one thing would work. One day it won't open, the next it will just charge forever and the next it won't find any address. Bring back the old ratp please!

Very good Paris metro app. Worked great helping us get around. Would be better if directions could be used offline though.

Car commercials on a public transport app!. Also they use a dated map. Additionally, when you enlarge the map, it turns black -- horrible. There is a much better alternative by the supervising company (STIF) - an app called "Vianavigo"

Works great.. I am pleased with the app. It gave me accurate info on getting around using Paris metro, better than using google maps

Paris metro/ RER. Great app. Even works without wifi access. It's a must app if you are visiting Paris.

Very useful for the metro schedules!. Very useful app, specially for the schedules of the metro! Easy to use!

Absolutely awful & convoluted. It's as of the folks at RATP - or their media agency - decided to put the user last. This app is the very ANTITHESIS of a good transit application. A transit user wants to know how to get where they're going in as little time as possible. This latest version if the RATP app throws so many stumbling blocks in the way if actually finding useful info that it renders itself completely useless.

Clunky. The official transit app for Paris, with real-time subway, bus, and tram times for defined routes or spots nearby on a map. Great source of info but clunky interface with lots of options that can't be turned off (car and bike share stations for example) or that require too much scrolling (a prompt for routes and default stations sit on top of list of available transport even if irrelevant to a selected map area). The app Transit is much more intuitive and informative but the RATP agency will not allow it to license actual real time GPS info. So the RATP app may be more accurate if looking primarily for a way to figure out when the next train or bus will come, but it is still not that user friendly.

Crashes. Crashes whenever I try to plan a journey. Never gets past that. Please fix soon! Other than that the app is excellent!

Manually choose English. Love this app so much but it would be really helpful if there was a settings option to put the app into English as my phone is in French but I'm not fluent 😁

Practical tool. Great way to determine the fastest route between two points in Paris. Provides times and connections. Much better than winging it on the metro every time as bus routes included!

yet another Horrible update. finally when I was used to using the application again, you change it yet again. What you have done to the homepage now is criminal and completely unusable. with every attempt at updating the application, you make it worse and worse

Necessary app in Paris. Works just fine to take advantage of the best public transportation system of a big capital.

Essential for visitors to Paris!. Great app for traveling around Paris. You put in the desired location, and your current location (if you don't know, let the GPS enter it), and the time you want to leave. RATP will tell you connecting information and by using the NEXT button, you can see the suggestions for what to do if you missed the connection. RATP works in English and French. We use this App to get to Versailles and to the CDG airport.

Must have. If you’re going to ride the bus, you must have thus app. It’s not always right due to constant construction in Paris, but it’s pretty close.

Useful with offline mode. Very nice guide to the Metro and trains. Be sure to launch and download the street map before you go. Searchable routes work well and let you choose quickest or fewest transfers.

Really bad update !!. I don’t like this update because i can’t see my bus or rer schedule like on old update. Please kill this update and go back to previous version !

Crash, crash, crash. Wow.. It won't even start up. I've killed the app now twice and each time it just crashes and dumps me back to the home screen. If the RATP shared their data openly someone could make a real app for everyone to use. Seriously, please fix this app so I can use it.

Good App. A great app with all of the information you need. Allow the option to be used offline. I'd imagine a lot of people who don't have service while visiting Paris would like to be able to use the app.

Couldn't find a single itinerary. Failed to produce a single itinerary! Tried multiple stations, and always failed to return anything.

Good as hell. This app is ESSENTIAL to navigating Paris as a tourist. If it can get a drunk American home at 1 a.m. in a snowstorm, anyone can use it.

Useful !. Great app to go around Paris

Bug in emailing search result. This app offers the ability to send the results of a route search to your email. Nice idea. Except it doesn't actually work. There is no "send" button, nor a "cancel" button, so it makes a cul de sac. When the problem gets fixed it should instead offer to save the search offline, within the app, including the map graphic.

Worked great for me. On my recent trip to Paris, this app was very useful. The Metro is pretty easy, but the RATP app is nearly essential for finding bus routes. And it works for address to address rout finding -- helps with the walking parts as well, showing a Google map.

Horrible! It deleted everything!. This app now isn't even worth one star. I don't know where these people have their heads, but it seems to be a place where the sun don't shine. This was a wonderful app that I used several times each day in order to catch the bus in Paris, where I live. But now, everything is gone. There's nothing but a blank screen. Even if they brought back the old app, as they should, all my lines and bus stops would still be deleted and I would have to start from scratch. C'est vraiment dégoûtant ce qu'ils ont fait. Dégueulasse! Je vous maudit, la RATP !

Awesome app makes Metro easy in Paris!. Love this app. I never need to find a map any more to get around Paris quickly and easily. I like the ability to pick "fastest" or "least walking," and the ability to review a few choices. Great stuff!

Strike and strike again. We don’t understand why they strike and RATP (public service) just blocks Paris because they want to keep privilèges other don’t have 🤮

Navigo Go. I wish they had called it Navi GoGo.

So annoying. Difficult to navigate and incredibly annoying. All I want is find a route, I don’t want to enter my “home” address and I don’t want to create nicknames for every place I go. This is an aggravating and unpleasant update to this app.

Really bad update 👎. I am so annoyed by this new update that I make my very first review on Appstore. Been happy using this app for years without any trouble but this version has lost it all. You can no more see how many time you have to wait for the next train/tram/bus around you. You can no more see the list of stations of a line. You can no more feel comfortable figuring out how the app works. Please consider an other update.

Great app. As long as you can read a map and are good with directions this is a great app to have if your are traveling to paris in train. Also I suggest you get the weekly passes for zones 1-5 they are a life saver and can be used with busses and trains in those zones

Useful app for visiting Paris and taking Metro, bus, or RER. After encountering endless stairways on the Metro while lugging around the child, stroller, etc., we decided to try our luck with the buses. Couldn't have done it without this official app from RATP. Note that the app does require a data connection in order to download individual route maps or schedule travel, so sign up for International roaming with your carrier, or get a SIM for your unlocked device. Even without a data plan, you can probably preload some of the route maps at a wifi hotspot and refer to them later. The system maps seemed to work without a data connection. Also, while the screenshots in the App Store are in French, the app does recognize your device's language setting and will work in English.

Great resource for touring Paris. Highly recommend this app for visitors to Paris who want to do a lot of touring around. It allows you to find out how to get between locations in the city using both Metro and the extensive bus services, which can give you a real view of the city, and many more options for stops than with just the Metro.

Best Paris transport app. So I found this incredibly useful for writing the buses. And I found the buses to be way more useful and pleasant than the metro. This app looks at your location and find the best route for you. You can even deselect options such as the train if you only want to take the bus. I found the bus to be much more useful, less crowded, with more options. This app made finding those options a snap. This is a must have app for Paris.

Very useful. Nice app. Can't understand why one who takes the time to learn how to use it would not find it useful. It gives precise instructions on times and walking involved for various modes of transport depending on departure date and time, with options of faster modes, amount of walking, and departure times. It could be improved by allowing one to mail a map and not just a verbal summary. Also, it took me a moment to discover that I needed to tap twice to send the mail. Why no send button?

Worst update ever. I was just transitioned to the new RATP app and I dislike very much. I have tried to load my old bus routes to get the times and nothing works. I also lost all of my saved routes. The old app worked just fine. I used the app multiple times a day. Now I am without an important app.
