Do not buy. Yikes, I spent $8 to download my photos and for some reason every time I try to download photos from a new date it won’t let me. It will only download older photos on my camera for some odd reason. I’ve tried this over and over again and it just wont let me. It connects to my Sony Camera (I have a DSC-WX350) but save your money and buy an SD card reader instead.

Difficult to navigate. You basically have to “exit” out of the app each time you download an image because there is no “home” page. You cannot download more photos after downloading a set because it only shows the current selection and cannot refresh the page.

Will not connect. I completed all the proper steps, and I’ve also been able to connect with other apps, but this will not connect, very disappointing!

Obnoxious pop ups that you have to follow and can’t avoid. Right as I started first time the App began with Obnoxious pop up that you have to follow and can’t avoid so I had to rate it. Here’s my rating and I’m going back to the Sony regular image app

Brought my camera back to life. Recently started using my A6000 again, the original app that we used to download photos was awful but this one did the trick. The one issue I have is that you’re not able to select photos from an entire time period and must select manually. Hoping developers can fix this issue in the future.

Happy to find this app. Just pulled my old Sony camera out of the drawer and wanted to download a bunch of the photos that I had on the card. The Sony branded app no longer is available so this was a lifesaver. This app to help me do what I needed to do. Pretty easy to use. Thank you!

Don’t buy this App. Terrible connection issues with this app. I’ve had no issues with FUJI or Nikon with several cameras but this is over the top bad, very bad. Wasted 2 hours trying to make it function, had it once then nope. Don’t waste your time.

Hardly operational. I had to install and uninstall my Sony A7iii multiple times before it finally connected. The first download of pictures and videos was pretty seamless. However after the free trial, and after paying for the upgrade. I experienced the same connectivity problem. Once I finally figured out how to connect, I dealt with part of my pictures not loading into the library. Of the few that did load into the library, I was unable to download any of them.

Worked at first and then literally doesn’t connect anymore. I bought the plan and it worked really good at first and then all of sudden it just stopped working completely and doesn’t connect to my camera anymore

Success. Moved pics to phone wirelessly.

Download marked as successful — no image on phone. Bought this app to transfer videos from my camer to the phone. Sometimes it works. Sometimes the image is marked as completed download but it’s not added to the phone. There’s no way to force redownload. Sorry but I didn’t intend to buy an app that works sometimes.

Find another downloader. Barely functioning and only loads a proxy of the photos and 50 at a time. After you close out of the app for the first time it won’t let you download any more photos unless you buy pro for $8.

Cannot figure out how to connect to iPhone. Cannot connect. Have had other Sony camera before and was able to connect easily to app provided. Don’t know what I’m doing wrong. Annoyed.

Works well with a6000. I was able to connect right away with my a6000 then last IOS update doesn’t work, had to delete and reinstall now it works again

Good Almost Great. This app is good and can be great if the developer add the option of automatically download the pictures to your media folder , also keep a copy of your imported photos inside the application in that way users can browse and explore their pictures and see the information of the photo.

Not worth the pro version. Purchased the pro version and it keeps freezing every time I try to select “connect camera”. Not worth the money

Impossible to connect.. Camera couldn’t download 3 photos and I tried to fix it and now there is a bug and cannot connect my camera to the app after paying

Works great for small files. Works great! Unless you’re using a camera that takes higher resolution images = larger files. The app will auto disconnect mid transfer or ‘suspend’ it all together. Also, 45min to transfer 2, 36MB files is ridiculous. I’ve seen the developer replies on other reviews. Not impressed with the lack of support, technical knowledge, let alone any ownership of application faults. Do better.

Non functional. doesn't function with my a5000. ipad connects to the camera wifi but won't actually do anything. no photos show up in the app even though the ipad is connected to the camera wifi.

Only worked once.. I successfully added my camera and transferred a photo after that I wasn’t able to connect it to the app again much less transfer photos. I’ve tried several times and won’t connect.

Pro mode is ridiculous. Why am I paying 8 dollars just to download my own pictures??? It works but I don’t see any reason to pay

All there is. Its lame that you get a demo to try this product for free and then forced to buy it. I have the a6600 and it is an amazing camera, the wireless transfer to any device through this app is annoying. Constantly dropping signal and having to reconnect, but it does work just after a few tries.

Bad. You need to pay to be able to download the images of the expensive camera you already bought. Insane!!

Ehhhh. It’s a little difficult to use and it feels like a sketchy app. It makes you read I instructions, so you have to figure out how to do it by yourself. I expected a little more from Sony.

Connects well and then stops working. Connected well, although was super slow to use. Randomly stopped working unless I pay apparently? Gonna buy an SD card instead. Way too slow and had to restart the app multiple times.

Disappointing. I MIGHT pay one or two dollars for an app I would use occasionally but one time free transfer of 6 pics only to have to pay for the “pro”version is sad.

frustrating. prompted to manually enter a bunch of Wi-Fi settings to connect to the camera, the Sony imaging edge mobile app is easier and all I have to do is enter the Wi-Fi password on that app

Not as convenient as other apps. WiFi doesn't connect easily. Selecting and downloading photos is slow and very manual. Have to then move photos to Photos to be able to open them! There are better, more convenient Sony apps. Edit: a couple years later, tried this again. Connected and down loaded a few photos. It stopped. Thought it was stuck. Restarted. Restarted again. Reconnected. Tells me trial is over have to pay. Why oh why can’t Apple just TELL YOU ahead of time how limited the trial is going to be? I hate this. I down loaded about twenty photos and it stopped suddenly. That not enough of a trial. This is just like any other app, and allot of them are free.

Doesn’t work and kept charging me. This app does not work at all for me and I have gotten three charges on my account from them in the last week. $45 and now two charges for around $7.98 keep an eye out on this app. It’s a scam!!

Works on original A7s. Does what it claims. Works on my 13 Pro and transfers images from my original A7s. User guide is clear and easy to follow even when skimming.

What am I missing?. As I intend to use my RX100 iv a lot with my iPone 14 Pro Max, I needed the Sony Alpha Linker app. I followed the directions in the app on my phone. The camera and phone connect very quickly and the message on the camera immediately pops up “Sharing” after I select the RX100M4 Wi-Fi. But The camera shows it is connected and sharing yet this is on the PHOTOS screen in the app, but I can not get access to see the images on the phone so I can select them. I rebooted the phone and tried a dozen times and removed and added the camera a couple of times. IF ONLY THUS WOULD WORK!!!!

Sad. Just an app . one-time application. it is not clear where the photos are saved, it is not clear how and why to connect and pay for the next use of the application . Like everyone

Good but could use improvements. Connects to my cam easily, but I can only load 30 more pictures at a time instead of all my photos loading whenever I’m connected. And whenever I’m downloading photos from my cam to phone (which can take up to an hour if I took a lot of photos), I have to stay on the app the entire time otherwise the connection gets lost and I have to start over.

Horrible. Absolutely horrible app. Will not work. I’ve updated iOS, deleted and redownloaded the app, nothing works. Extremely frustrating. I have a Sony a7iii. I never write reviews but after paying so much for a nice camera flaunting its abilities in the description such as phone connection, it’s extremely disappointing it does not work.

Works well, pay to use the most important feature. Easy to transfer works well. Pay to auto reconnect to your camera's wifi. Also only loads 50(?) images at a time for preview, need to auto load way more for a better experience.

Just downloaded. So far so good . Have used it for 2 days. No problem and download my pics without taking simm card out

A bit unsure. I have a Sony and the app is helpful when downloading picture but when it comes to video it says success on the download portion but when I check my camera roll I don’t have any access to the videos. I bought the “pro” and am still having the same issue

Garbage. This app was made in a 4 by 4 hut in the middle of Yugoslavia. Developers have no idea what’s going on with their own app and respond to reviews with things you’ve most likely already tried and robotic responses the app is unusable you can’t even preview videos if you are lucky enough to pull up your camera roll. Broken app that has been given up on don’t even waste your money

Pretty Good. The Sony camera A7 II was tested and found to be usable. With a fairly easy connection process and reasonably fast speed.

Worked well for a month or so…. Worked well for a while until all of a sudden whenever I tried connecting to my camera it would show the connecting screen for half a second then just cancel and not connect at all. I tried deleting and reinstalling the app, checking my settings for the app(network connections allowed), and even messed with my camera. Also the user guide is useless and there’s nowhere except here to get help for any information.

I get a few photos everytime I sync, inconsistent. Just paid $7 to upgrade to unlimited thinking the trial was limiting my usage, but it’s just a partially functioning app. I struggle to reconnect everytime and then it only pulls a portion of my pictures to my phone.

Not Sure How It Is Better…. SONY provides an app called Imaging Edge mobile, which lets you download by date. This app seems to only let you download by photo. This is painfully slow if you have hundreds of photos. I’m not sure how this is better than the Sony provided app.

Cannot link to iphone. This camera has to be the world’s hardest camera to connect to an iphone. After reading all the instructions on how to connect you are fit for an IT job. I have no idea what kind of a genius thought this is good enough for the market.

Terrible. If it did work well it doesn’t anymore. The instructions to connect are clunky, you have no ability to detect the information, I upgraded to pro, gave the app all permissions and it still won’t work. Can’t add a camera!

If I had known it was this difficult. I wouldn’t not have purchased this device. I’ve had other cameras before and never had so much difficultly connecting an iPhone to this device.

Terrible photo quality. If you want your photos to import looking grainy and low resolution then this paid for app is great for you!! Don’t waste your money, you’re better off getting an SD reader that connects directly to your phone/ipad/laptop

Poor image quality. Exported a 1mp at 900kb on a photo at 21mp at a 29mb size.

Can NOT connect my RX100 vii using QR code. Getting message: QR CODE UNREADABLE You have to go with SSD and password to connect.

NEED TO PAY. NOT FREE.. only allows ONE transfer of photos, and then you have to pay. why allow a "free" trial if it's so damn short? apart from that, it works and does what it says it does.

Sony Alpha. Just downloaded this app last night. Added the camera , tried the app once and now it says I have to pay for it ? My Nikon comes with an app that I don’t have to pay for. Why would I want to pay for a Sony App. Update: Paid for the App and connected the camera. Camera says sharing but nothing happens. There’s no select button in upper right hand corner to select pictures as per instructions. App doesn’t work. Very disappointing. My camera is Sony a a7r.

One transfer, then you pay $$$. Not worth it. Only one photo transfer then you must pay.
