Outstanding. This is one of the best Cantonese apps out there, truly. Native speaker recordings are sharp and just the right speed, flashcard option allows testing from the characters while hiding the Jyutpin, why don't all apps have this? It's really helping on my tones. My only request would be more words, and particularly phrases. Bump it up to 5 or 6 thousand, please? And how about a Northern dialect option for the Vietnamese? Not to be greedy, but this would make Nemo the best app for every language.

Best Cantonese Learning App. Vast amount of language packs with very practical conversational words and phrases. So many different learning modes. This app is perfect for beginners who want to learn the language and even for travelers who can use the search function to effectively communicate. I highly recommend this app. What sets it apart from other apps: the ability to leearn written cantonese alongside the spoken, and the best part is the search function. Just start typing what you want to say and it will search through the language packs in an instant with the spken and written translation.

An American born Chinese. This is one of the better ways I have been able to practice my childhood Cantonese. Since moving away from a Chinese community I find my vocab and accent are declining. This app was a good way to freshen up those skills.

Great for learning Cantonese. I grew up speaking Cantonese and English in my household. Now that I don't speak Cantonese as much, I'm afraid to say I've forgotten more of the language than I remember. This app is helping me to get the language back. The app is so easy to use and playback is clear and true to the language. It sounds like actual words spoken rather than a computer generated version of language.

Great app!. There are Cantonese language courses and giving the Jyutping (標準粵語拼音) as its transliteration. Very good!

Out of Sync. This app is supposed to record you and put you saying the word or phrase next to the voice teaching you so you can compare. It doesn’t do that though, they say the word and then they say the next word and then they let you record so you’re trying to keep it in your mind the word or phrase you need to record while they’re saying the next word throwing your concentration off then you record while they’re getting ready to go to the next word, and then you record while they’re saying the next word and you never get to hear both side by side. What a crappy app.

Good app for beginners and pronunciation.. This is a good app that lets you hear the words and see the characters. Only about 15 words in, but already recognizing some of the basics (hello, etc. ) in conversation!

Great for beginners and people picking the language up again. I like this app a lot. It's great for beginners and people like me who want to pick up the language once again. I never learned Cantonese completely as a kid so I only got basic phrases from my parents and spoke back to them in English. I hope to use this program to get accustomed to the sounds and tones and then take on some reading material as well as some sentence building exercises. If I could ask for more, I wish I could build basic sentences with this app or have more words.

Great app for learning Cantonese without pressing. I love this app. As I do not have time to really dedicate myself for learning a language, I decided to just take 10 minutes per day. This app is perfect for this.

Excellent Cantonese learning app. My favorite feature is the voice recording. You can record your voice each time a flash card is shown and then it will play the correct pronunciation and then your pronunciation right after each other so you can compare. The app also works perfectly, without any bugs and has other cool features like keeping track of whether you have reviewed a card a lot.

Great app to learn Cantonese. Excellent app. The basic "play" feature says the word in English, pauses, then says it in Canto. It will play endlessly and slowly work in new words. There are different sections to select depending on vocab/phrases you'd like to learn. The repetition is perfect for me as a native English speaker.

Nemo Cantonese. The program is encouraging - it gives me hope that I can really learn some Cantonese, and lets me learn the words most important to me first. Very intelligently organized - I’m impressed!

Great free app. Easy to use, we use the daily words feature for words that my kids focus on each week. There aren’t many Cantonese learning apps available and this one is a keeper. Would like a few more features so we are eagerly awaiting for an update.

Excellent for Kids or Adults!. I’ve only tried the first 100 words, but it’s a great way to learn some basic Cantonese! As a native speaker raised over seas, I was not brought up learning to read or write cantonese, but it is my heritage so wanted to learn more than a basic level of conversational fluency.... I really enjoy the flash cards- you can practice speaking and writing the characters! One note, it’s a progression so it’s made for beginners. I’m not sure how advanced it goes, but so far it’s great! Highly recommended. Thanks Nemo for creating this!

Great. The new version is great. It really helped me learn pronunciation and vocabulary. I wish the had more words, but no other complaints. I have a few other Cantonese apps, and this works the best. The best features are the color codes and ability to switch modes, learn a few words a day, and review active words only. I just wish they had about 4000 words instead of 1300.

great for beginner. everyone needs to know basic vocabulary to start with. So it’s really helped me. I still have around 100 words left. I think there might be few mistake in some words tone. Good. Very instructive but needs update to slangs , speeches are recognizable but to complex for no reason , formal is always accepted but less absorbed from foreigners.

Very effective and easy to use. Very good dictionary, there have not been many terms I couldn't find - I couldn't find father-in-law or fiancé - other than that, pretty useful. I like the option to listen to the pronunciation and record your voice back to hear how close you're getting. The flashcards are great too.

挺好的. 我觉得对于母语是普通话的人来说，这个app提供的大量的日常词汇，每天看半小时，慢慢学跟着发音一定会有收获。但是要想系统学习粤语这个app还是远远不够的，只适合初学者拿来扩充些词汇。
