Great app guys!. Does exactly what I hoped. Been using this app for a few years now. Never failed me. Often I’ll forget some of the jobs I visited during the week, there’s so many, glance at this app and done!

Been using for a week. I don’t write reviews very often, but this one needs one. It’s so easy, accurate and just so freaking awesome. The only thing is I wish I could put a short note on each one that’s entered. Thanks!

Very Good Personal Tracker (time & location). I have just started using the app. Im retired and trying to decide how to implement and use into my life. It is very good at what it does by tracking your current location(s) and logging times of arrival/departures. A nice feature is ability to reach out to your home automation system and trigger events based upon your movement; ie 'turn on lights when arrive home' or turn up heat before arrival home'. This the primary thing that sparked my interest. Being retired I dont move around so much and looking for other possible uses. All in all, very good program for geo tracking, simple implementation, easy to use.

Move entry to another location?. Great app - sometimes an entry is logged incorrectly to the wrong location. Is there a way to move an entry from one location to another? (without just deleting it and manually re-adding)

The holy grail of presence detection. After much experimenting with different apps, Geofency is by far the best and most accurate. I use this app combined with Home Assistant to power my smart home so the lights turn on automatically when I arrive home, shut off when I leave, and more. If you are using beacons this is the app that handles them best and most reliably. I love all the detailed statistics it provides, the iCloud syncing and user interface is great, and developer is very responsive to suggestions and feedback. One of my very favorite apps!

Better than expected. The app is better than I expected, however, it’s missing the ability to trigger shortcuts. It has web hook ability but shortcuts support would be more convenient.

A good app overall. Would have liked better instructions.. Good graphics. I’m sure I’m not getting full use of its capabilities due to sparse examples and instructions.

Great location and activity recorder. I initially tried this because my daughter was bothered by NY and NJ state tax inspectors, concerning proof on where she might have earned taxable income. I am not in that same situation, but it fills the task well enough to record of trips to supermarkets, malls, health clubs and a very nice vacation example of a two flight connection to Curaçao. So every so often I check how many times I actually went swimming or bought groceries. And this record might stimulate me into a better set of health care habits. And backwards,it also allows me to check on my calendar what else I have been doing. Nothing is perfect but this gets near. I wish a somewhat better instruction set came with the app. It took me a while to gain familiarity with the setup.

Excellent. Great, reliable time tracking, very customizable. Sits in the background doing its tracking with minimal battery usage and all of the data is there for me when I need it.

Recommended. Perfect app for tracking multiple job site hours

Amazing Application. Update: I’ve been using this app for a few years now and it is only gotten better. The developer is currently making an effort to improve the application. It works flawlessly and as advertised and I am very happy with my purchase. It runs in the background using little power, keeping track of your whereabouts in throughout the day You don't even realize it is running becasue you don't have to launch it. I've had it running for over a year and it has kept details about most every place I visit. I use it mostly to track doctors appt.'s. I have GeoFency remind me that I have arrived and not to forget to take notes and record a voice memo. It is a 10 star app in my book. Heck it could prove you were somewhere else when your Mother-in-law was egged and keep you out of jail. ;)

MUCH better than expected. I have been using this for 12 weeks to track my arrival and departure from work and I have not experienced a single inaccuracy. Being able to view day, week and months separately is excellent. An unexpected convenience is merging “events” together. In this example the “events” are my time at a location. Let’s say your phone dies while logging time at a location. Well, you can merge the two “events” together (before phone died and after phone turned back on) with a simple click. Suggestions for improvement include modification of the week start day (my company uses Saturday) and to a lesser extent the week numbers (my company week #1 occurs in February). Overall I am quite impressed with this app.

Does everything you need to track your time a different locations!. Works like a Charm! Money Well Spent!

Great For Tracking Where You Have Been. More than just a place tracker, I love that this app is always getting updates from the developer. Webhooks, UI tweaks, iCloud Backup, Face ID, and system appearance support for dark mode have all been added since originally purchasing this app. The developer always seems to be on the top of trying new Apple technologies and I look forward to seeing the future of Geofency.

Contractor. If you are in need of something for logging date/time for insurances purposes when doing snow removal or other projects I think this will be the app to use. For the cost of one gallon of diesel fuel you won’t need to worry about keeping your logs current while in a hurry to get to the next site.

Excellent application. This app delivers as described! Crisp & clean. Well planned and executed. Below are additional thoughts to consider. ______ Goal: use app + iBeacons to measure the time I spend in each of 10 rooms (10ft x 12ft) & at 1 nursing station (in hallway) at my office. After researching, this app is best. Problem: for reliable iBeacon signal (low enough error) across the distance of the room, the necessary power setting is high enough to produce a signal that can be regularly detected outside of the appropriate room and cause a false Clock-in event 😥. Suggestions: (1) any existing work-arounds or suggestions anyone might have would be appreciated; (2) allow a user set signal strength threshold to define a true-positive clock-in event and exclude false events (signals less than this threshold are disregarded);(3) filter out the signals with higher frequency of errors (similar to #2, but a little diff); (4) allow user defined “ONLY 1 CLOCK-IN LOCATION AT A TIME” and only a better signal would cause a clock-out + clock-in event. Thanks, and hope some of those changes can be made to help use the app to the best of its abilities.

Save hundreds of dollars using this App... Been using this App since 2013 to track my Lawns that I maintain.. It automatically starts recording my time, when I pull up to my customer’s house and stops recording once I leave the property.. Companies spend hundreds to thousands of dollars a year on equipment that this App. can do for $1.99.. Every feature on this App. works perfectly.. I strongly recommend giving this App a try.. It is truly amazing.

I love this app!. As a field service technician it allows me to keep track of where I was and for how long. It’s invaluable for double checking times sheets and making sure billable hours are accurate. I highly recommend!

Awesome & beautiful. This app is awesome! I have a hard time keeping track of how long whatever took, or when what was… Not only will this keep track of how long I spent where, it allows manual editing of "IN / OUT" events.

More capable than you’re expecting. This app will be much more capable than you’re expecting. Good configuration on geofencing. Very pleased to see ibeacon support. Calendar integration is so far better than I expected. Ability to set overlapping items (am home based on geofencing, am in living room based on ibeacon) is fantastic. Would buy again, immediately.

Extremely accurate, works great with Hubitat. After trying multiple options for geopresence with minimal success in Hubitat, I installed Geofency. It works great! I am now able to increase the functionality of my smart home to include activities like locking the door when I leave, unlocking the door when I arrive, turning on house lights (only when dark) upon arrival, adjusting the thermostats when leaving and arriving (saves on utility bills), and setting my home’s security status based on my presence just to name a few. Automatically logging time spent at designated locations (which is a core function of Geofency) saves me from needing to manually log time spent at each individual location. What is also great is that the software does not use your personal data for their own personal gain unlike some others. If you’re looking for an excellent geopresence tool you absolutely must check out Geofency!! Don

Reliable but needs more options. I use geofency to trigger a webhook when my phone detects ibeacons either in my car or in my house, to improve the reliability of presence for my smart home hub. The signal strength of beacons fluctuates significantly, though, so your presence will fluctuate significantly as well even when you are near beacons. Geofency has a setting called time threshold that smooths out the presence detection over time, but it also delays triggering webhooks on both entrance and exit events. What’s needed is a time threshold dedicated for exit events and a separate time threshold dedicated for entrance events, so that quick triggering can still occur on entrance events by setting the entrance-time-threshold low, but smoother overall presence detection can occur by setting the exit-time-threshold high.

Truly impressive! Accurate with low battery impact. I've been truly impressed with this app and it's reliability - it just works. It helps me make sure I'm getting in my hours at work (or not working too long), see how much I'm getting out of the house, and track how much time I spend in the car. The iBeacon support for my car is especially cool... you never realize how much time you spend driving until you start taking it; it's motivated me to shift my work hours to optimize my commute. Very pleased!

Support?. I have used this app for a couple of years, finding that its ability to export my locations to a Google Calendar was invaluable. It makes doing my expense report a breeze.

Significant locations requires work-around. Monitored locations still works, but after upgrading to a new iPhone the app refuses to update the significant locations. Re-installing didn't help either. May be an IOS 13 thing? And yes, the setting 'significant places' is on. Update: did receive 2 responses from the developer - 2nd response fixed the issue: 1) Go to iOS Settings > Geofency > Location and change the setting from "Always" to "Never". In the view, go back one level for the setting to take effect, and then switch back to "Always“. 2) Go to iOS Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services > Significant Locations. Deactivate and activate the switch there and then restart the device once. Started working after that for me!

Does the trick, some glitchy ness but works. Overall I’ve had no real issues. Time recording is accurate the only issue I have is the fencing is pretty basic and tough to use . If you need to say have a long rectangle it can’t do that.

Great for proving that you are at least on work premise. Office politics. I use this tool to prove that I was working more than 40 hours a week.

Very reliable. Wife and I have used this for years and it works very reliably. Other similar apps seem to only work part of the time, but this detects fence each time we cross it. I can’t recommend this enough.

Does what I need it to do.. It’s a pretty cool app. Helps me with submitting my time card for work. Only thing I wish it would do is tell me how long I spend at undesignated places. That way I can monitor how long I spend in traffic or things like that.

No longer working in background, any fix?: Updates Working Again!. Issue was with iOS and now fixed. On iOS 15.1 iPhone 13 Pro Max, stopped working for me Oct 22. I did get it to trigger by leaving app open, but that is sort of a pain. Also triggers when location hasn't changed eg 5AM. Has anyone figured out how to get it working with a new phone and 15.1? Love the app and been using it for years but now its sort of useless. Keeping my fingers crossed

I love this app and have been using it for 2 years now. Is there any way to add not monitored locations? It stops me at 20. I’m a security guard and my job is to drive payroll and I look over quite a few site. Adding more would definitely help me out!🙌🏽

New Bar Chart Feature. I like this new edition with the bar chart. I’m assuming the daily weekly monthly averages are based on 7 day a week. It would be nice to be able to toggle work week, holidays etc. would be better suited for most time sheet/business purposes. Keep up the great work love this app.

Flawless!. I’ve been using Geofency for about 3 years. It works seamlessly in the background, uses close to zero resources, and never fails to capture my tracked locations.

Look No Further. This application is terrific and has been consistently maintained for multiple years. It does its job very well and is great for triggering webhooks via geofence events directly from your device, without relying on a third-party cloud service.

wbr. This is the quintessential geofence app. Consistent. Reliable. Time proven. Properly maintained. Good UI. Has had a place on my home screen for years. This is the kind of stuff truly professional developers produce. I have no affiliation, neither commercially nor personally, with the developers or their affiliates.

Keep track of where you have been. As far as I know it will automatically mark you location on a map if you stay longer than 40 min. I have had the app for 3 or so years now and it is a great way to go back and see in the app the places I have been. If I need to find a restaurant I went to last summer? I can just open the so and check for the markers. It Issy like a diary of places, all in one app.

Working again. After upgrading to iOS 13.2, the location issues with Geofency seem to have been fixed.

Cool but bad sorting. It would be really helpful if you could see the various places you were on a given day. Instead you need to data mine significant locations to put together your day

Fixing my billing woes. This app is exactly what I needed and I couldn’t have asked for something more perfect. It’s simple to use. I’m self employees and I know I lose money on time tracking because I’ve never been very good at it. I do my billing at the end of the month and I would forget to mark times I was at a client or I know I was there longer than I can remover clearly so I lose money. This fixes all of that. I don’t have to do anything special. Totally automatic when I arrive, when I leave. Print the report at the end of the month and voila I have my billing! Wonderful wonderful wonderful!!

Great. I’ve used this app for over a year. I track buildings where I work on a regular basis. While I try to track my location manually. Sometimes I just don’t do it. This is set and forget app. So at the end of the month I just look at it to properly assign my time to my locations. Great with no issues for the time I have used it. Addition to initial post. I would like to see a way to delete the previous month times. I teach time monthly then delete them. It takes some time as I track 10 locations. Still a great app.

A great little app. This is a very simple yet powerful little app. It has helped me countless times to sort out my whereabouts in order to bill properly past events and even allowed me to remember where I was at a particular moment in time. I have been using it for many years now and I love it! The team is very responsive and helpful!

Fantastic!!!. I found this app in early 2018 and it lets me free my mind because I don't have to worry if I've written down when I left a client - or worse - found a sticky note with my times after it's been through the wash. Thank you!

Very accurate. Love this app. Excellent tracking locations stopped frequently or monitored. Sometimes I forget to write down time I get to or leave a job. Very reliable so far. Wouldn't use it if cheating on your spouse :)

Only one of its kind. Had a similar app called Proximity Log, to helped me remember and track times for work, exercise, etc., by my location history. With the developer no longer supporting it, the iOS 11 update rendered useless. Geofency is a tad bit harder to use, but it works fine.

Reliable and easy to use. Geofency works great to integrate geofencing to home automation systems. I’ve been getting reliable results using it to trigger events in Homeseer for over a year. And the app has regular improvements, which is much appreciated.

Perfect for small business owner or consultant. Wish I found this years ago. It works perfect. Love the search function and being able to automatically track every stop.

Works quite well. It’s pretty intuitive to setup. Regions work quite well, especially for entry. I had to contact the developer as I was not getting entry/exit events for iBeacons, but that issue was resolved within 2 weeks. What I really like about this app is that can have automations based on presence, not tracking.

Great, but missing one feature. Has the ability to say "you've been here too long", but doesn't have "you haven't been there enough recently". I suppose I could implement this with webhooks, but it seems like it'd be a simple enough addition.

Is a life saver when it comes to month end billing!!!. I am one of those people who has great intentions of keeping track and entering my billable time on a daily basis. When it really comes down to it....it usually doesn't work out that way. Geofency has been a life saver and it has been very accurate! It's like having my own personal assistant following me around and tracking the time I spend at each customer. The export to email is also a great feature. Keep up the good work guys!

Best app for me.. I would always forget to start or stop time tracking apps, which made their data useless... until I found Geofency. It’s been 100% reliable for me, more consistent that I am, and isn’t interested in collecting location data. Also, developer support is strong. Excellent app.

Better than a GPS locator. Geofency is a greate app that show all the place that you stop or stay and how long you stay in time sheet view or print, or in graphic style , or on a map. All that without entering and data. It will take time to get use to know how to read the few screen (no help screen) once you know you it so easy. The most amazing thing it does not run the battery down it does not use GPS it use Cel tower for Latitude and Longitude of your location WOW

Favourite app of all time. This is the best app I've downloaded so far. I've been looking for something like this and so far everything I've tried has fallen short. I use it to track my time for onsite service calls. It doesn't kill my battery, it doesn't miss anything, and it's easy to use Thanks for doing such a great job developing this exceptional app.

Excellent. Provides an accurate listing for when you enter and exit a geofenced location. Perfect for creating time sheets for your job or for figuring out average times for getting from location to location (commute times for example). Much improved (in the last few updates) battery usage, no significantly noticeable increase in consumption when running this app constantly to track your locations. Great app and frequent updates :)

New updated app sucks. I loved this app as it let us print a list of all Clients we visited from an export to CSV feature. When the updated and moved to a cloud sync option they removed the export to CSV option? Or hidden it? Anyways without the export option this becomes a useless app.

Do not buy for automatic tracking. This app is buggy and not made for automatic tracking. It still says I’m at 4 different places while I’m only at 1 place. Usel ss

Works great. I have been looking for an app like this, and was glade I downloaded it. The Geofencing works well for my home automation, the only problem is after upgrading to 15.1 it no longer works in the background my wife phone is on 14. and it works with the app closed, with mine I have to have it up and running before it will report coming and going. If this is fixed it would be a 5 star in my books Well good news people Apple did fix the problem they caused and now the app works in the background flawlessly and home automation is working as well 5 Stars in my books

Even better than what I was looking for. So easy to use, the best ever electronic punch clock. Just forget about it and view your results when you need. Best is that I did not notice any degradation of battery life. This is amazing because all other apps using the Gps are negatively affecting battery life a lot
