Kills battery in an hour!. After the last update, this app will drain your phone battery in only an hour, even if it’s not connected to your H9 device via Bluetooth. The “prevent power sleep” mode is disabled. ***PLEASE FIX THIS EVENTIDE!!***

Recommended for any H9 owner. The Eventide H9 isn't hard to program on its own, but the app definitely make it easier to make tweaks on the fly. Solid connection and no crashes or problems that I've found.

Needs better preset manager. Please let us drag presets in the order we want. Very annoying to have to use the plus (add) button and delete. Let us rearrange presets the same way we rearrange songs in a music playlist. This app, while it looks nice, is very old fashioned in how the navigation and presets work.

Buggy!. Constantly wants me to log in, when you do so a message pops up saying the sever is down! Not sure if i would trust it playing live! For now i will keep it USB only.

Works, but could use some love. I love my H9. I even upgraded it to Max. I wish this accompanying app was given just a little more love by Eventide’s developers though. First of all the GUI could use an update once in a while. The dialog boxes and all buttons in general appear to have not been updated since iOS 6. There’s also an incredibly annoying bug whenever I reorder my device’s presets and save them. Random presets throughout my list end up saved with their knobs all set to 0, rendering them useless. It works fine if you are just, say, swapping one preset for another then saving. The problem happens if you, say, drag a new preset in between numbers 5 & 6, thus moving all current presets from 6-99 back one and it has to move them all. If I’m about to go to a gig and want to save a special preset list to my H9, I shouldn’t have to take extra time to go through everything I just saved just to verify it wasn’t somehow reset along the way. I’ve also posted about this in the Eventide forums, which are supposedly checked often by people who work there, but have received no answer. Eventide, you've created a groundbreaking product in the H9 that no other competitors can really touch right now. Can you just give the app that controls it a little more love, pretty please?

Wonderful GUI to Eventides H9. Somewhat sluggish on iPhone 5. Very difficult to use on original iPad. please make this more responsive/efficient! Editing presets is intuitive. Would like to drag and drop to reorganize presets. Biggest complaint is the 5 minute time limit demoing algorithms and the 24 hour cool off period seems way strict. Also a lack of audio examples in some algorithms. Each preset should have a clip that corresponds with a preset so you know exactly what it sounds like and is capable of.

H9 Pro quality effects pedal. Eventide H9 is a high quality product in build, sound, and capabilities. This pedal is capable of having practically every peffect known. Each effect is cleaner than almost every dedecated pedal out there. It can be controlled from an iphone or ipad ( nice to not have to bend over all the time). I have 2, and was able to get rid of most of my other pedals. l would advise anyone considering investing in one or more to do a deep dive into what it does and how to configure it to meet your needs.

Great control. This app was always good, but since they fixed the save glitches it's a great control app.

Awesome app. Love it!

Deletes H9 control file from iPad. App works ok but every time I use the app, it deletes the H9 Control folder where I have downloaded preset files when it starts. If I save something, I get a new H9 Control folder.

App needs help. This app needs to be brought up to the same standard of the audio effects in the unit it controls. The H9 sounds terrific but it is a shame the app gets in the way.

Functional, but really needs an update to the UI. The app does what it's supposed to do. But come on, Eventide. The larger screen iPhones have been out for more than three years now. It's time to update that copy of XCode, and get cracking on a new GUI.

Works great and I love it! I don’t see the appeal of certain features though.. I’ve had the H9 for a few weeks now and couldn’t be happier. Everything in the app just works and it has a very good design. I don’t see the reason to add the tilt controls and stuff but I suppose, “why not?” I’m a fan of this product and this app.

Awesome. This thing is awesome. I really like it on the iPad. I put it on the console in front of me and have serious control over these patches. The performance mode is awesome as well, like a chaos pad type control. Totally great.

Seems to be working OK now. UI still needs an update, but it’s very functional and thank God they fixed the BT connectivity problems. It’s really convenient to be able to program your H9’s without having the stoop down and fiddle with knobs forever. This is Eventide’s biggest advantage over competitors like Strymon.

Needs multitasking support. This app desperately needs multitasking support on the iPad. It’s nice it finally knows where it was when you switch back to it. But needs to have the ability to split screen.

May just be me?. Love the H9! However the new effect hotsawz seemed very glitchy for me. I hope this update fixes that.

Bad. Absolute garbage. Eventide won’t let you connect until they get their greedy lil hands on your precious email address but then their registration process has glitches making so you cannot connect at all. Thanks for the quality products guys.

In desperate need of UI update. Works fine but it’s 2021 and the UI is straight out of 2009. Pretty clunky & unintuitive.

It just works!. This is an awesome APP! One APP you’ll ever need to harnest the power of your H9! Very stable and very intuitive. It would have been better if they will update the app design because until now it is based on the very old iOS design, but still that doesn’t made me blew out some stars off on this review, IT JUST WORKS and that’s all I need!

Semi update but info is illegible. Slight update in making the UI seem a bit kore modern, but same functionality as previous versions (although I don’t remember the landscape view from the older version, and having all knobs on one screen is helpful). However, the info part for each algorithm is now in a tiny (!) font size that is unreadable on a phone (and still in Times New Roman, while the rest of the app is a sans serif).

Works...sort of. First off, the H9 is truly remarkable. I've been really blown away by the quality of sound from the algorithms - the sounds produced are very similar to the sounds of the original Eventide boxes. Well done! The app, however, seems an afterthought, even though (based on the H9 boxes' interface) it's so integral to the use of the H9 for more than just living room tinkering. First, no native screen support beyond iPhone 5? It's been nearly 2 years?! Second, my iPhone 6 has serious Bluetooth connectivity problems - it only works when I set my phone on the ground next to the box. Anywhere further, and it disconnects (I don't have this issue on an older iPad). The way I can control the box from my devices via Bluetooth is really awesome, makes the pedal truly beyond value, but it seems like an app was designed two years ago, and never went back to designers for basic upgrades that most apps see as necessary. That's pretty disappointing in today's tech world.

A must have, but. If an alternative was available that let me just see the preset and modify/save it, I'd use it. Too many tabs and options flooding the GUI, which leads to errors and confusion in modifying and saving. Stop trying to be too clever. Needs a big dose of KISS redesign.

Steady improvement and very useful. Despite some early versions having connection issues the current software seems quite stable. I use it hardwired via USB Midi and find it a superb expansion of the H9. My iPad has become the studio remote for the effects. Eventide support it well on their forums and I’m glad to see their dedication to the platform.

Be careful. Works great, when it works. The whole I lok approach has so far knocked me out of commission for 48hrs now, and counting. Sad.

Incomplete. I updated H9 Control on my Mac and then updated the H9 and both were good to go. Both had the new Algorithm. Then I updated H9 Control on the iPad and the new Algorithm “HotSawz” went missing. It just disappeared. I decided to try updating the H9 using the iPad but still no HotSawz. This update for iOS is incomplete.
