Love. I love being able to read the latest issues anywhere!

Horrible update. Much harder to navigate after the update. Instead of being able to view all purchased issues on one page you now must scroll through a long list of issues to Buy that are mixed in with the purchased issues. Ruined a great app.

Love the Photography. Beautiful magazine, even on my iPhone6+. Would be much better if there were more plants that were available for zone 9 and above. It just seems that about two thirds of the plants featured in the articles are for zones eight and below. That leaves out almost all of California and most of the West and large parts of the Southern States. I sense a little bit of regional snobbery or perhaps simply a provincial magazine masquerading as a national one.

Better than print magazine. I love enlarging photographs so I can see details of the plants. This is a fabulous app. That was then this now. Now I have given this ap one star. It is new and improved! Ha! I could not even open it. What a waist of time.

Well, THIS was a mistake!. I subscribed to all access. Am now looking at reviews from customers facing the exact same frustrating issues I am dealing with on my iPad—only to realize these reviews were written 3 years ago! 5 years ago!! Hope my print issues actually make it to my mailbox!

Great Magazine. I love this magazine. One of my very favorite. The app has worked consistently for me with no trouble at all. I read it and re read it all the time. Love the articles and the pics.....! Keep up the good work and expansion of offerings. See the Better Homes and Gardens app for the ultimate app magazine experience....and they keep improving.

Fine Gardening. I'm supposed to get this app free and it does not work. Horrible app

Update killed it. All my magazines are gone after the update and cannot be restored. The email-address I used to register is "not known" and support has not been able to fix the problem. $25 down the toilet? I am going to dispute the charges.

Looks good but.... Can't get past the load screen on iPhone 4S hopefully they can fix this bug because from what I hear its a great magazine

Old App Needs Updating. Love the knowledgeable articles and the designs. Photography is excellent. App is slowing down my iPhone 6s/64GB though. Please release the next update ASAP. I love the app and count on it still! Would be 5 star!!

Useless. What’s the point of purchasing an all access digital subscription + archives when the app only allows you to see current issues?

Fine Gardening. I love my paper copy to really read but the app version is handy when traveling.

Fine Gardening Magazine. I like this magazine because it very up today.

Log in does not work. Can’t log in! Annoying, please use money from subscribers to fix app!

Just crashes. Just downloaded this app and have yet to get it to load. Crashes every time I try to open it. Have been a subscriber since the first issue and am looking forward to reading each issue as they become available. Hoping this app becomes as well polished as the magazine.

Can't open. App just crashes every time I open. Worthless.

The best. This is a great way to read my favorite gardening magazine, love the interactive features and the ability to read the articles in text only view where the print is larger and easier to read. My only complaint would be that if you order special issues and want to read them in app they charge you twice.

No digital issues available?. "No digital issues available" That's the message I get after installing the Fine Gardening Magazine app on my iPhone 6+. No control panel or options to do anything like, pair my account with my paper magazine subscription. Love the mag, but looks like the app doesn't work on iPhone 6+.

Poor. Keeps crashing and deleted the app

Version 6.1.2 slow. The new version is slow. The initial launch after download has a progress bar stuck at the "full" position for quite a few minutes giving you the impression that the app may have frozen. But stick with it. Downloads seem slow. To its credit, the app seems to allow downloading in the background. I had it download my desired issue and to my pleasant surprise (after some error messages about difficulties extracting the file), my digital issue appeared! IMHO, some digital editions have a ways to go. The Bloomberg Businessweek model is still the gold standard, IMHO.

Awful. Can't get the app to work at all. I enter Cust # and zip. Nothing works. Like other reviews, great print magazine get with it and create an app that lives up to the Taunton name!!

Fails to recognize my ‘all access’ subscription. The app on my iPad has been a big hassle and disappointment. It doesn’t seem to recognize my subscription (which is ‘all access,’ so includes full digital archive and the print mag). I’ve emailed customer service and am hopeful someone can fix this.

Favorite Gardening Magazine. This magazine is one of the "good ones". It not only has beautiful pictures but very helpful articles. It's like the editors can read my mind - they seem to know what my gardening problems are. I have digital issues that are full of bookmarks!

Still very disappointing. This is just photos of the print magazine pages--not an iPad magazine at all. You can zoom in to read articles and see photos, but it certainly isn't optimal. I hope they will make it a real iPad magazine like Martha Stewart Living. I expect more than this from Taunton Publishing because they do such a nice job with their print magazines.

Dud. I purchased a subscription but can't open the app; it crashes every time. Pretty worthless.

Love this app. This app helps me find information about my plant quickly and efficiently.

Mr. Need the customer number off the print copy to get the free digital download copy. My first print won't come for six weeks. So much for my Mother's Day surprise. Thanks Taunton.

A beautiful product. I discovered Fine Gardening a few years ago, and am elated to find that they're now available as an iPad app. There's nothing better than looking through the gorgeous photography and illustrations on commute from the burbs to work in the big city!

I didn't think fine gardening could get any better-BUT IT JUST DID!. i enjoyed it so much i had to charge my iPad TWICE while reading the latest issue! Looking forward to more issues and special apps

Irritating. Every single time I want to read or reread an issue I am have to go to go to my account, restore and download the same issue I’ve already downloaded once and maybe many times if I don’t read the issue in one setting. I can’t even login to my account, as it won’t accept my email. Also, I can’t find a way to get the app to stop my auto renewal. I’ve called for help and just get the run around. A great magazine, but a stupid app

Lacking. This magazine is very costly, but I got a two-year promotional deal and bought it for that period. After the subscription expired, I could no longer access on my iPad the magazines I had already purchased. Their excuse was that I could keep the paper ones they mailed. We did not want the physical magazine mailed to us in the first place, but there was no option to save valuable resources and decline them. I would not be inclined to purchase this again.

IOS requires update. I enjoy the app very much: display is great, navigation easy. But -- yikes! With upgrade to iOS 10.3.2, Apple says this app will not run with next update.

To expensive, app doesn't work well. If I have to pay $30 for a subscription it better be a real magazine shipped to my mailbox, I don't understand why digital copies are so expensive. While using the app I noticed a lot of things not loading. Deleted the app... Move along, nothing to see here.

Fine Gardening App is not Fine. I also downloaded the new app and have had no luck in restoring previously purchased products. I called customer support last Friday (July 21) to report the problem and still have not heard from anyone about how to solve this problem. Just sent them a follow up email. Not sure why nobody has contacted me after two customer support people were notified.

Love the app I hope it is updated soon!. I love the app. Having the digital and print versions of the magazine are great, especially for travel. I've been getting a message from the App Store that the app is out of date and won't work with future iOS versions. The next release is due very soon. I hope an update from the app developer is in the works as well.

Buggy. Looks good but has functional problems. Jump-to highlights don’t work. Bookmarks don’t work. Navigator thumbnail won’t go away.

Worse of the worse. If I could give a 0 star review I would, not only is the app unusable, but when you try to contact the magazine customer service, you will meet the rudest agents ever. I paid for an all access subscription, it includes, the print version and access through any digital device that support the app. I had been getting the printed magazine, but when I tried to open it from my cellphone or iPad, the app system want me to paid per each item. Even as I’m logged with my email and password, it still wants me to paid separately per issue!!! Tired of it, I decided today to contact customer service.. As my call was transferred to the Online Subscription Deparment, this agent who goes by Keith, said “well I’m sorry if you can’t read your subscription online. If you would like to cancel your subscription I can do it now.” I did cancel this rip off magazine scam

App does not work. Update: Appalling! After calling to have my access fixed AGAIN, my ability to access content on the app is broken again. Instead of fixing the problem, customer support said I needed to access from a web browser. I CANCELLED my subscription. It should not be this difficult. I have been a subscriber for many years. I love the content but an frustrated with the platform. Until recently the app worked okay. However, after renewing my subscription a month ago, the app continues to ask for payment to view the issue I should be able to access and have already been sent in the mail. Customer service contact information in the app is incorrect. Luckily the paper magazine includes a working customer service phone number. The helpful agent explained that Taunton Press has outsourced their customer service and subscription services. He also confirmed my subscription and explained that there is a known problem with the app and access to issues. He took my information to send a request to another organization to resolve this problem and explained this issue usually takes a week to have fixed. Meanwhile, TAUTON PRESS, you are paying your subscription management outsourced to answer questions about technology problems. You are wasting their time, and the time of your members. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, TAUTON PRESS, if this is a known issue, please address it PROACTIVELY. Do not wait for your loyal, paid-up members to become frustrated, call a customer service number that has been disconnected, find the correct customer service number in your magazine, only to finally to be told to wait a week for someone else to hopefully address the problem. PLEASE fix the app access for all entitled members and then notify them that this has been done. This just makes good business sense.

Best gardening magazine ever!. I can count on fine gardening to give expert advice and when there's a question they're not afraid to admit it and print a retraction. I count on the advice from this publisher and so do many of the nurseries in the Tidewater area! Keep those covers coming!

Awesome. Finally! Fine Gardening looks great here. The photos look so much better on the retina display. I can't wait to see what other interactive features are introduced.

Gardening junkie. This is a great general magazine for primarily decorative gardening. Not overly technical, lots of ideas for outdoor spaces.

Fix the app. I paid for full access to digital subscriptions and the app won’t give me access. The app insists on trying to charge me for what I already paid for. I paid for full access via the website.

App constantly crashes. I had to delete the app because it crashed multiple times as I tried to load it and register. Once I finally got registered the app would open and crash immediately.

Two thumbs up! Yes and yes and YES. This magazine is really fantastic. It's right amount of informative. Perfect for all gardeners-- beginner to advanced. Really happy that I found this resource. It's been so helpful! The app itself hardly (if ever) crashes.

Great mag,yet terrible app. I have never written a negative review, yet I feel this app justify the neg review. The magazine is really a quality product, yet why would they produce such a lemon is beyond me. The problem is that the app just does not recognize your subscription status. You have to keep on restoring your account. However now the account just doesn't even work. The ios8 does nothing to correct the problem. I would not recommend this to a friend, or purchase again.

Update ruined it. Used to work. Now shows I have a subscription in "my account" valid through 2018, but prompts me to purchase a subscription every time I try to download an issue 8/1 update- finally got an email that "the issue has been fixed" - but tried to restore and amHAVING THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM. This is starting to feel like a scam- getting ready to report to BBB. 8/4 Update: can download issues again finally- but can only download one at a time (used to be able to do multiple). i fail to see what makes the new version "improved"...actually spoke too soon- can no longer download issues from my previous subscriptions (more than a year ago)

Beware of false advertising. Fine Gardening Subscription clearly states “Your subscription also includes access to digital editions.” They conveniently did not mention the fee for each online edition is $7.99 TOO BAD AND BUYER BEWARE

Good Content but could be improved. This magazine has always had interesting and useful gardening information. I would like to see a regional section that focuses more specifically on Northern California and on drought gardening. The app works well enough once it is set up, which is a somewhat awkward process.

Good reading....... Good publication......too many ads, but that is in every magazine....would love to see more types of gardens that reaches out to more gardeners.......all in all still a good publication...good enough for me to follow for many years 👍🏼

Frustrating. Horrible App. It wouldn't recognize my print issue subscription number even after multiple tries and kept trying to bill me for issues even though I'm a current subscriber. Zero stars.

Fine Gardening App. It appears that the only thing the app wants to do is sell you a subscription even though I already have one but it will not allow me to log on to access web based material. VERY frustrating and useless.

Ripoff. I just got this app I was pretty excited! They just want to sell you subscriptions! What’s the point?

Not free app. This application is not free, you get the app only to go to the page where you can subscribe to the magazine. I deleted it immediately.

Finally getting answers. In the first issue I read I got answers to most of my questions about designing a gardening. This is the best resource I've found as a beginner but I see myself getting even more out of it as I become more experienced. Thanks for an informative and well written resource

Fine Gardening Subscriptions. Have lost my issues and cannot recover them before the expiry date. Inquiriies to Fine Gardening have gone unanswered
