It works great!. After reading only negative reviews of the app (what's up with that anyway?), I was not sure I wanted to download Threads for myself, however, realizing there is variety in skill, Devices and operating systems, I decided to try for myself. I am glad I did. It works fine for me - no crashes, hitches, hiccups, glitches or any other negative system challenges. I was able to pair my subscription in under a minute, download the latest issue and start reading with no problems. I give the rating four stars because the download was slow - unusually so in my opinion. There are ways to compress the files for faster delivery. Otherwise, good job, I wish I had done this months ago.

So many bugs. You have to redownload magazines EVERY SINGLE TIME you open the app. Gets old

Love Threads on my iPad.... Love the articles, the beautiful graphics. I look forward to the latest issue. Some of my faves are the seasons fashion updates; pantone's colors of the season, fabrics, textures, designers, patterns, sewing, other details, and an article that sums it up. I also enjoy the pattern reviews. Then there are articles that show you how to create your own garment without a pattern, particularly the drafting your own patterns (pants, tops), love those. In the last pages, there is an entertaining sewing story. And one last photo of a gorgeous garment. Thanks for the sewing only ads. In future, I want to highlight and make notes, just like I can in my paper Threads. Then you'll be a 5 star magazine.

This app needs fixing. I’m in the process of downloading it and it just won’t finish

Love the app. I have used this app for almost 8 years. I have never had a problem with it. One of the things I love most about it is that I can go directly to an advertiser’s website when I see one that is interesting to me. When I received the print version, I would have to write it down, or go to the computer and look it up right then or i would forget about the product. I have other publications whose app doesn’t work like this and when I see something I want to know more about, I have to toggle between the app and the web browser.

Update is terrible.. I love having to scroll thru 194 issues to find the 15 I own.

Completely Broken!. The latest version from Nov 23 is completely unusable and crashes every single time I try to open it. I cannot read any of my subscribed editions. Please fix it!

Threads rocks!. I love my Threads on my iPad - it is handy when I am shopping for fabric or patterns, and I can prop it near my sewing machine or serger. What a resource!

Can't find any free issue.. And everything you click the app thinks you want to buy what's on the screen. Plus, hasn't been updated in a while, app is clunky. Pretty sure it'd be cheaper to just buy the physical magazines. $7.99 for a digital copy is ridiculous.

Not consistent. I bought an online subscription and downloaded the app to my iPad and iPhone. So far the new issues are being delivered as expected/I can access them and download. But whereas I was a me to purchase other available issues for the first few months after download, I am now getting messages that say I am not authorized to purchase or that function has been disabled! I've tried to send an email to report this and that repeatedly fails also. Help!

I hate this app. I really hate the sparkle things that are all over the place that open up advertisements when you touch them. I have to try not to touch any of them when I am reading the magazine and there are a lot of them. It's shouldn't be so annoying reading a magazine! Why can you just send the magazine out as a pdf like everyone else? I love the magazine. I hate the app! And I prefer the digital version so this is a problem for me. This is my first time subscribing and I doubt I'll resubscribe if this app is still in use when my time is up.

Magazine is wonderful.... App is problematic!. The Threads magazine is wonderful! Highly recommend for content and layout. But, the app has proven to be a problem, at least for me! With my online subscription, I was able to download issues in the past, although it was not a fast download, at least it would eventually download. But, I have been trying to download the last three issues, with no luck. I get started downloading it, but it always cycles out before I gets complete... A couple of times I got 99 percent downloaded, but then it went back to 0 percent and started the process all over, and I still have not gotten the three most recent issues downloaded. I have sent in requests for help through the app help center... but no response at all! Disappointing...

All fixed. Had some of the same issues with losing access to my old issues when I upgraded to the new iPad software. The bugs have been fixed, all my old issues are back and I am loving Threads all over again. Such great articles with detail to help me improve my skills. And lots of new ideas to try on future projects

Can’t access archive magazines. I am a Threads insider member and paid $59 for that. However this app does not allow me to access the archive magazines as promised for the insider membership. I have logged in but it just doesn’t deliver.

Doesn’t work on my IPad.. I have downloaded it several times but it doesn’t work.

Update?. Just got the new IPad Pro! So sad this app has not been updated. If it can't run on the soon to be released new iOS version, I will cancel my subscription. 3 stars because the app is fine on old iPads.

Unable to download issues. I am unable to download issues I’ve paid for. The download won’t go past 93%.

Love the Magazine, but not the App. Often doesn’t work on my iPad. I have to reinstall to get it to work again.

PLEASE UPDATE. I've received a message that this app is going to cause my iPad to slow down because it has not been updated for the current version of IOS. Please UPDATE. I'll change my rating once complete. I love having Threads on my IPad but not if it's going to start slowing the iPad down

Can't get in, doesn't work. The app needs a 12 digit subscription number. My number isn't 12 digits and doesn't recognize my number. When I tried contacting the support team through the app, it wouldn't go through. Tried several times throughout the day to resolve. Nothing worked. I just deleted it. Wasted my time and only got me frustrated. Im not coming back to try this again. So disappointing.

Cannot access digital issues. I recently subscribed, but am unable to even log into the app. Customer service is not responsive. I called and was told my subscription doesn’t include digital access, though my purchase confirmation clearly says that it does. So, I guess I’m just deleting this app.

Fashion foward!:). It' so fun and it alway telling me to make my dreams come true and don't stop trying.

Terrible app. First of all, it is very unclear what is included in the price, issues appear and disappear. I can’t even download the current issue. Special features are only on the website, which you have to log in to, and cost extra. Very confusing, awkward app. Buy the magazine if you are interested in this content or try Seamwork Magazine to see how a modern version of sewing is handled.

Great Magazine. This is a great mag, and I've recommend it many times. Fix the bugs and it will be an exceptional mag.

Issues were removed. I thought I had purchased these issues to keep. Turns out half of them disappeared and they offered them to me to “buy”. When I complained to Threads it took them weeks to look into it then finally they said it was a problem from Apple, not them. Now, a few weeks later I have no access to anything. It won’t let me sign in or restore purchases. You’re probably better off getting your digital access directly from Taunton but I don’t know if I’d trust that either.

Fabulous resource. I love the app, the ability to have back issues always available means I can refer to them at any moment any where I take my iPad. The only improvement I would add is a one time fee to add all the old issues as they get digitized, so I can cut down on the clutter and use the space for more patterns, and fabric.

Can’t see all issues purchased. I got a new iPad a couple of months ago. Only the last 3 issues have restored. I’ve contacted Taunton for help and they haven’t helped at all. They’re telling me to contact Apple. No one at Apple to contact - this is an app issue, not an Apple issue. I’m about to cancel my subscription. Why am I continuing to pay if I’m not getting what I paid for?

No way to subscribe. I love the magazine, but there is no way to subscribe. The help center says you should be able to subscribe using the button to the left of the question mark, but that button only takes me to an area where I can connect to Facebook or Twitter or where I can manage a print subscription or connect a Threads Insider account. Nothing about an actual digital subscription. I had this option a few updates ago, but no longer. An email to the help center just reiterated the same info and they tried to sell me on the Threads Insider membership.

Long time print subscriber. Have used the app for a year and like having the iPad/iPhone app; have experienced numerous crashes so am not always sure how the updates will work; would like to have more detailed help/instructions of have to use the app since I have been a longtime print subscriber.

Threads Magazine. I love Threads digital edition. i don't have to go to the store and check out the magazine I just download the editions that I want.

When it works.... When this app works it is ok. I have to keep a print label around because every time I want to read the digital version it asks me to verify my subscription! EVERY TIME! This is quiet possibly the most unreliable app I have ever used.

THREADS!. Absolutely the best sewing magazine! Love the interactive version on the App! Class act magazine from cover to cover!

Love Threads!. I love the magazine and being able to read it on my iPad is great. The 360 feature is definitely a bonus!

I'm sewing to love it!. Taunton's Press has created another wonderful magazine for both the beginner and the expert. I than my wonderful friend Wy for introducing me to Threads. I read it cover to cover on the day I get it. I plan in the next few days what I want to make,tips I save, expert sewing advice I have/might need etc. and I tab those and any other articles I might have missed. Please subscribe you will not be disappointed no matter your sewing skill. It will challenge you to try something new that you never thought you could do. Your subscription comes with the expanded digital subscription as well.

Love the magazine, worried about the app. Like everyone else, I am concerned about losing all my content if the app is not updated. But the magazine is possibly the best sewing magazine out there, and I love reading it on my iPad. Wonderful pics, great technique tutorials done by master sewers. So 5 stars for the magazine, 2 stars for lack of update.

Threads. I'm having those same issues with the new version of threads. Subscribed but it only bought one issue, cannot access my old issues after upgrading my iPad... I loved the old version of the app, please bring it back. I'm deleting this one!

It a Great Resource!. I love having the ability to read my magazine on my iPad while waiting for appointments.

If it's your only option.... Then guess it's worth the money. However, even though I regularly read books on my iPhone Kindle, and I read the New York Times from the newsstand, I find it difficult to navigate the magazine on my phone. By the time I make it big enough to read I lose the flow of where I am in the magazine. However because the iPad screen is much larger I don't have this problem on the iPad. There it is an excellent way to check out the magazine.

Now I can take my copies with me. I religiously read Threads and my older issues are somewhat bent from carrying them around. Now I can read them on the go and save my hard copies as references.

Mixed bag. The technical content of the magazine is excellent. If I get stuck in a project I can always go to the archives and find several relevant articles that are clear, concise and solve the problem. I am frustrated a little by a lack of more contemporary style in the articles. The app is okay. It crashes every so often but seems to re-open without issue. The sparkle effect when going from page to page is annoying but not a deal breaker. No matter what network I am connected to it seems to take forever to load a new issue. It would also be nice not have to scroll through all the magazines I don't subscribe to when going back to prior issues.

A wealth of information!. I love to learn and Threads guides me, challenges me and helps me to grow! I have loved Threads in print for a long time. Now with the magic of technology I always have it with me. I can read it in snippets when I have a moment and this brings me great pleasure! Thanks for a great, quality magazine!

Love this magazine!. This magazine is an incredible resource for people who sew garments. Tutorials, new techniques, from basic to couture.

Great App. It's so great to be able to zoom on the garments and really see the garments up close. I also love the new Garment 360 views. Keep them coming.

Library/improved app. Would like a chronicled library for the iPad just like for the computer and an improved app. Thanks!

Disappointed. As a new Threads Insider subscriber I was extremely disappointed to discover that the app doesn’t allow access to any archived issues without paying for them individually. Despite being able to view them on the web, because my subscription covers it, the app allows me to see the current issue, and nothing else.

Absolutely Best Sewing Magazine. Not only is Threads Magazine the best source of technical sewing instruction, but the digital format also makes full use of the interactivity features. Highly recommend.

Wonderful!. Have been using this app on my mini for 2 years now with no problems. Enjoy it so much more than print issues because of the interaction with the articles. Only negative I have is that it takes so long to load a new issue.

Easy!. It was easy for me to subscribe. I do wish Apple had offered me the choice to get the same deals as Taunton (get Insider plus tablet version versus hard copy and tablet which is the only option). But other than that, LOVE it!

App needs updating. Love being able to read Threads on my iPad but when I select download I get message that Threads may cause iPad to slow down because developer needs to update the app.

I used to love this app. But now all of my issues are asking for payment although I have a subscription and had already downloaded my issues. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Now unable to verify subscription because the button in the app does not work. Please fix this. Even when it is fixed, I will have to spend time and data to download my issues again. Very disappointed.

Threads. Absolute waste of money I have tried to download my magazines and it just keeps freezing I have contacted them and still no reply after a week what a waste

I am hooked. Love the app. Clear, the supporting videos & all the extras that is not possible with print. My only negative it takes an absolute age to download. I also have various other magazines as an app especially cooking magazines which are rich in pictures, videos, graphics etc and none of these take the same kind of time to download as the Threads app. I persist as I love everything else about the Threads app.

Great magazine, appalling app. I am so sick of this app. In trying to make it super helpful, with lots of hyperlinks, they’ve made really skittish. It takes ages to download, frequently wants to be updated, and frequently needs to be restored. In addition, the earliest magazines won’t restore so either I have to skip them or repurchase them (because neither iTunes nor Threads were helpful in sorting out this problem).

Very frustrating. Takes ages to download, even with a fast connection speed and constantly crashes! It's the 3rd time I've deleted my account and started over. It could be a great online magazine, full of interesting articles, but they really need to sort out their Internet issues! Disabloodypointing!!!

Love it!. I'm a longtime lover of Threads magazine and I love the online version! Portability is great. Had a small account mixup (had used a different email for the online version, so the two didn't link) but support was great and got it all sorted in no time.

Very poorly designed app. This app is extremely frustrating. The issues take ages to download and they never download fully. It is unclear what I paid for/what is included in my subscription. I thought I would have access to all old issues but the system lets me partially browse about six. If subscription means ‘current issues’, I can’t access the latest without paying extra. What kind if a joke is this?!!

Revise your app.. With technology today there is no excuse for this app to have so many issues. This is my second year and very last time I will subscribe to this magazine. The app never works, can never access magazines I have paid for, can’t even get logged in. Very disappointing as this is my favourite sewing magazine.

Threads app disappoints. I've waited eagerly for the iPad version of a magazine I've subscribed to for decades but in short, the app does not work. Can't download magazines, can't get into the settings to reinstall my subscription and password, get repeated error messages that the subscription does not exist. And it's been going on for months. Why can't Taunton Press get this right?

This app keeps failing. You would think that a company of this size would get their app updates to work. Every time a new issue to posted I have to call in and speak to multiple people to get my access issues resolved. Last time it took 3+ weeks and I am still trying to resolve the current access issue.

Really disappointed. App will not install . Have asked for a refund for on line subscription.

Works ok. It took about a day to recognize me as a customer. Will work on a PC if Bluestacks is installed.

Does not retain downloaded data or download. Stupid app does not retain any downloaded data or login info between uses. Archive function is useless. Ridiculous!

great customer service. after multiple problems with my app not loading, and chat not working..... and having to delete and reload..then got charged again for the same issue.... then the link for customer service would not load..so could not get help.....&had to find their email address on line (it should be available in the app!) finally got through to customer service and they straightened out the over charge now if they can just get the app to work the way it should....

Confusing. I signed up for the 14 day free trial but they wanted my credit card number. Why? I feel like it's not really free. When I tried to open an issue, it wants to charge me $7.99. What's up with that? MISLEADING.

Great content but.... ...it won't open anymore. It tells me I have no content and then it closes. What good is a subscription if I can't access it?

Impossible to download. I am a Threads mag print subscriber, so I thought this app oN iPad mini retina display would be great. WRONG. I've tried to download only 1 issue and it is impossibly slow or forever remains in queue mode. Frustrating!

Where are my previous magazines... I just updated my ipad 2 to the new version of the ios8 and i cant find my old magazines.....not even the new one....please fix....

Pretty useless app. The app is totally frozen on my IPad. I can't do anything with it. Why bother even offering it if it doesn't work? Very frustrating!

Not free!. I thought this would at least have some free stuff, not one free thing. You have to buy issues or have a subscription.

downloaded issues does not stay in shelves!. I haven't archived a single issue because I have the space in my IPAD. The latest app version has a bug, every time I open the app, I have to wait till the issue any issue is downloaded again. What's up with that! it's a waste of time, resources, money if you are on a fixed Internet / WIFI plan. please fix! magazine is great!

Crashes - unusable. I am unable to use this app because it crashes/freezes within moments of opening.
