Can’t upload files. Can’t upload files. I bought pro version. Connected to my ftp server. Wanted to basically copy and paste an image file to another directory. I duplicated the image file. But there is no option to move the file. So I downloaded the file, went to the directory that I wanted the file to be but there is no upload option.

App doesn’t display video. Please fix this app. Every time I click on a video on my FTP server, it doesn’t do anything. Sometimes it downloads a video but does play it. What’s the point of this app. I tried this app on iPhone 7 and iPhone X and it’s the same problem. The older version on my iPad works fine PLEASE FIX IT

Doesn’t work with native “Files” app and directories. Waste of money In this app it shows a handful of folders on my iPad but when I copy stuff to them over ftp it usually doesn’t work. There dowsn’t seem to be an option to add folders that aren’t already populated in the ones it sees. If you add or rename folders, it doesn’t have any effect on the real filesystem. No documentation online either. Pick a different app.

Ok. Great! The only issue is you can only have 1 port for free… It connects to my modded 3ds perfectly though

Wonderful!. I had an urgent situation where I needed to edit a PHP script. All I had was my phone. This app came to my rescue! I was able to edit my script from within the app. Thanks for making that ability!

Nice interface, awaiting support- not working. Purchased several days ago. Great looking interface, and intuitive, however I cannot connect to FTP with correct credentials (already tried my hosting tech support, etc) and have sent a few messages in hopes to get help from developers. I’m still waiting- but if it works, it’ll get all five stars! I need to upload video to my website which is typically too large to reasonably transfer in other ways.

Good App. For iPhone and all the apps iPhone defaults to make you pay for this saved me. Thanks for creating this app and making the basic access free, while it is not intuitive to guess what does what if you have basic ftp knowledge this works, improve the interface to be more user friendy and some features from the pro version and this app could be a rockstar for web developers and storefront owners. Thanks again!

Could not access my network shares. Was hoping I could use this to download from my FTP servers to my local network shares. Although the app asked for access to my local network and I selected “Yes”, none of my network shares appeared anywhere. So, this was useless for me.

Thank you for this app in my time of need. It is really easy to get data into your iPhone and nearly impossible to get it out. The Samba feature in Apple's file manager is terrible and with the amount of money Apple has it has to be on purpose. So if you are like me and you need a way to get something out this app will do the trick.

Dont’t get trolled by this app. This is trash and doesn’t work. The requests from this app on the server side don’t even make sense. The same “developer” puts out multiple similar apps under different names and floods the App Store with positive reviews. It’s a shame that the Store isn’t policed by Apple like it used to be. Again, this is garbage that you need to ignore. I’m not sure how paying for a premium/pro version will help

No apparently upload immediately demands payment for many things. Not useful at all… just needed to upload a single file to a remote server and its incapable of doing that without begging for money apparently. If its possible, it’s not immediately apparent how because the UI is pretty terrible.

Great FTP and more APP!. I was looking for one and already had their other product, an EXIF viewer(a must for shutterbugs), and saw they had this FTP app. It's clean, straight forward, and has a great flow. I'm not a super user just needed simple FTP and some other "desktop" style features on my phone. This fits the bill nicely!

Definitely Untrustworthy. I decided to search for an FTP/SFTP client to send some files to my server. This app was the first that showed up, so I downloaded it. When I pressed "+" for a new connection, I saw "SFTP" and immediately under that "SSH File Transfer Protocol". Anyone who knows anything about FTP will know that the S stands for "Secure", not "SSH", which is a different protocol entirely. This was an immediate turnoff for me, since how could I trust an app if it doesn't even know what it's doing?

Learning on the fly to use. It takes a bit to figure out but eventually I can upload. Not sure how to rename clips

Needs option to hide toolbar. The app is quite nice and resourceful to use, though the toolbar atop the screen is extremely frustrating as it often blocks the UI of html programs.

Good but a bit tricky your first time. Pretty much what the title says. It gets the job done of accessing my FTP and copying and pasting my files, but it is a bit troublesome to stumble around the ui as you figure out how to move files from your phone to your FTP. I wish there was an option to have the downloads of images go directly into my Photo library and to maybe change the location of downloaded files to my downloads folder, but a good app nonetheless.

Just Awesome. Best FTP app for mobile out there. Log in was quick and easy, user interface is simple and easy to understand, unlike many other FTP apps, saves files very quickly. Definitely recommend you try out this app.

App works well. App works well, but be careful with updates. This new update broke the text editor, causing it to crash. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app fixes this.

Does not understand the assignment. Unimaginably bad and utter failure. This application does not process files in the background, it does not resume your queue after being stopped by being put in the background, and does not report the amount of the queue that was processed. Horrifyingly bad. Will never do what you ask. Never use this application. An FTP app should be able to process downloads on the scale of 10s of GBs. This won't do that. Instead when your screen turns off it'll stop and wipe the queued transfer without even keeping track of what was set to be downloaded. I cannot reject this app strongly enough.

Does what it says on the tin. Spend three minutes learning to use it and you’ll never email a picture to yourself again. I’m a hardcore programmer and I find this quite useful. Recommended.

Works great!. Contrary to what some reviewers say, it is possible to edit the settings of an FTP connection. Simply tap and slide to the left the connection icon to view the options: duplicate, edit, and trash. I’m very impressed by the quality and variety of features in this app. Highly recommended!!

Worked perfectly with zero fluff.. I downloaded this app to access the files on my Vespera smart telescope without having to drag the laptop and FTP into it. I turned off cellular data, connected to the Vespera instrument's Wi-Fi network, and set up a new connection for the Vespera FTP address. That's the only thing I needed to put in. left everything else blank or on the default setting. It took a minute or two to connect, which is the same with the laptop, and then I had access to all the user accessible files on my Vespera. I was able to view, open, download and share the JPEGs and tiff files right from the scope. Perfect!! This is a super simple app that does one thing. And if you don't know your way around FTP, then you're gonna need to do a little reading on how to set it up for your particular application as it is geared to someone who does know the basics of FTP. One limitation of the free version is that you are only allowed to set up and save one FTP connection. For my Vespera it's no big deal because all the scopes use the same FTP address, it's the Wi-Fi network that you connect to that determines which scope you access.

Fake Free App. The app is called ftpmanager which I assumed meant it would allow managing files on ftp. This is a complete “free app” trap. To actually manage files requires a paid upgrade. I have no problem paying for an app that would do what I need but not being upfront about whether the app does what it promises at the price listed is just ridiculous. If you want to get paid for your app then list it as a paid app and don’t try to catch people when they downloaded your “free” app, went through the setup of the servers only to finally discover at the last minute that it was a waste of time.

Cannot UPLOAD to FTP. This app is not only extremely clunky to use, but you can’t upload files to an FTP server. I have a NAS and wanted to copy my photos to it, only to find out this app only supports downloading files, not uploading them. But google drive can do it fine.. makes no sense

Can’t open xcell files anymore. I’ve use this App for years and loved it but now can’t open xcell or word files when accessing over ftp. Tried using ftp client lite and it worked perfect. Not sure what changed?

Good app. The video player and the image viewer need a bit of work. Maybe importing MPV engine would help.

Dishonest description. App description lists file organization features despite them being locked behind another paid app. Wouldn’t have downloaded the app in the first place if this was in any way mentioned.

Doesn’t work. I can connect to my ftp server and (sometimes) see what files and folders are there, but I’m never able to preview or download them. No matter the settings, it doesn’t work, even though VLC media player and Infuse are able to connect and download from my server flawlessly.

Removed the Only think I Downloaded it for. I gave it 4 stars because I like the app and I don’t know why, it might be because of an iOS update or something else I don’t know about, but they deleted the ‘On my iPhone’ section on FTP Manager, FTP Manager Pro, and FE File Explorer. The only reason I downloaded it was to transfer my Minecraft worlds to Xbox, although I can’t do that anymore.

Deletes files without warning. This is the second time I’ve lost 80% or more of a file, thank you app developers. I’ve figured out the problem. The app freezes while it’s saving, so I go back hoping it will cancel the save that’s in progress. Instead, it saves the first 10% of the file, and completely deletes the remainder of the file. So thank you for 1. Dismissing my first complaint and making me feel like I’m the idiot who used the app wrong, and 2. Completely ruining and entire file that I’ve spent multiple days perfecting. Thanks again!

Always Opens New Windows. Hate that the app always opens a new window when uploading a video file to a server. It never runs the same window. It opens a new one and leaves it open. By the time I'm done with my work I have tens of windows open for what could've been done from a single window. This wasn't a problem back on iPadOS 18

The first piano recital was so much better than I thought it would be. My keyboard was down when I wrote the title of this review and so I relied on auto suggested words. This program has simplified my workflow and allows me to edit from anywhere. Free. What’s not to love.

I like this app and it’s very helpful and amazing.. This app is amazing and I like it a lot and you guys make the best apps and I would highly recommend this app to anyone.

Totally unreliable. For no reason, this app will close the built-in server for totally random time, and it's totally unreliable. Just imagine when you need it work, it just simply doesn't, no matter how you try to fix it by switching on and off, or just kill the app and reopen it... None of them work out. So, if you want to use file transfer service for some business purposes, STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP.

Best thing ever. Apple gives me a headache but this app is like an aspirin—takes the pain out of it. I have had a terrible time getting photos off my iphone12. I am an Adobe creative cloud user and I need the actual data—not a pointer on a cloud. So this app was able to pull all images off the phone and put it right on my ftp server. Took time because I think apple puts a timeout in the way but this app waits and waits and gets it. Another great surprise is the conversion from apple heic to jpeg during the transfer. So happy I am buying the pro version. Thanks again. Great app!!!

This one works!. I have tried a number of FTP apps and have found all of them to have bugs or just plain don’t work. This one works perfectly, quickly and efficiently, every time. It works exactly as advertised. I recommend it.

Pay to do literally anything. You have to pay to do the most basic things. You can't even select multiple things at a time or move files from host to the server without paying for premium

“No Data Collected”. Chances are that if you’re transferring data, especially over SFTP connections, you’re going to want anonymity. What I find most attractive about this application is just that. Aside from this, the application is fairly functional, straightforward, and contains enough features to satisfy most everyone. Would recommend.

Great app no complaints except for ONE. Everything about this app is awesome except for the fact there’s no way to transfer an entire folder instead of individually moving each file.

Fantastic. This app works so well it's scary. I can't believe I'm actually editing my custom PHP website from a different country so easily. The FTP connection works seamlessly- better than full FTP apps I have on my desktop computer. And support for a minor question was quick via email. Outstanding!

Can’t Upload Files. You can download files but not upload. I’d give it one star because real FTP can upload, but at least you don’t have to pay for this app to do anything, unlike most other FTP apps.

Saved my life on the road!. So I’m currently traveling for a 1 hours ride to camp, and it seems like I forgot my laptop since I needed to hurry. I use my laptop to access my 3DS XL files but I didn’t bring the laptop. I had FTPD installed so, why not give this app a try? It worked! Extremely happy about this. 1 single problem is I have to drag my files from the “My Files” app and it’s a bit annoying. But great app, useful for a ride

Never could use it. Downloaded to check it out, made a mistake setting up the FTP server I wanted to connect to and it won’t let me edit it without upgrading to PRO. I don’t even know if it works so I am not going to upgrade something I can’t even test out. Plus it is constantly nagging you with a pop up. I was looking for one to buy but I couldn’t even use this one and the whole experience of the free version left a negative impact right off the bat so I bought another one instead.

Perfectly?. The entire point of an FTP Client is to transfer files. You can’t do that with this app. The Pro App, which alleges to let you upload one you get past that paywall, hasn’t worked for me at all. Got my hosting company involved and they don’t understand what the problem is as they can test everything as clear but I end up with Permission Denied messages (yes, I had the hosting company help me review all permissions to make sure they were as they should be). Hours of troubleshooting frustration to end up nowhere. Save yourself the time, and the $3.

Excellent app, responsive developer. I have relied on this app to manage my website since I discovered it. A recent update messed up how you edit an html file. Developer responded quickly and released a fix within a few days. Thanks!

Bit Clunky but Works Well. It's certainly not the easiest interface in the world to navigate but, if you needed an ftp with HTML editing or whatever, this works like a charm. Obviously this is meant for people who are very familiar with writing web environments from scratch. It won't help people much if they are reliant on DreamWeaver, Wixx or some other common website building tool.

One flaw. You have to pay to use more than one server

Worth every cent I paid for it (of course it was free…). For a lot of use cases, the fact that you can only have one ftp server set up would be a big problem. For me, it's actually what I'm looking for: I want to be able to edit one particular website from my phone. And this does that.

Can’t Edit Existing Accounts. I entered all of my information to access my FTP. It tried to connect and gave me an error message. Thinking I (or perhaps the app itself) had made a simple mistake when I set up the account, I clicked “edit” to review the account. It then told me I had to upgrade and would not let me edit anything. So there’s one mistake and the app won’t allow me to fix it? Completely worthless to me. Deleted!

Top of the line APP. This is a realy top quality APP, I use it to update and make changes to my global Internet business using my iPhone, now that's AWSOME !

WIPED MY FILE!. This is a terrible app, I tried to edit a HTML file on my server and once I saved my changes this app saved a totally blank file instead! Lost all that code. Don't download this app.

How does one import a key into this app?. It seems impossible

Opening app.. It does the job. However, it's pretty annoying that it opens the main page at the top folder, rather than the last folder accessed.

Doesn't stream music. Doesn't stream music on my ipad, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't, very flaky and annoying.

Seems OK. Other reviewers saying they can't connect. I had no problem, perhaps they weren' t configuring properly as it connected very quickly and quick to view files.

Wow this is soooo goooood. Hey man this app is really good I love how you can open videos in VLC media player. The app performs really well and works great. I will definitely be getting the paid version soon

Functions well. It is very easy to set up access to servers that you download from on a regular basis. Fast and efficient, does the job I need.

Useless App. This used to be a good app to edit from files but now it's useless. Only let's you view one server and not even edit files on it. I found better ftp apps today.

Free version useless. Won't even let you download a file, what's the point.

Not worth it. Even though its free, it's a waste of your bandwidth. It didn't work, it had a pinwheel for 10 minutes yet loaded nothing. Doesn't work, don't get it.

Crippled. The in app FTP server feature is disabled in this version so can't evaluate if its of any use!

Fantastic App. It does what it says. If you like ftp client that is substitute of the cloud apps like dropbox then this is the app you need. Worth downloading the app. Help to setup ftp for the first time in the app needs an improvenent but it does not resist me to give it 5 stars.

Basic use requires upgrade to pro. Downloaded this app to upload a file from phone to a server. When I click “select” it requests I upgrade to pro to use the feature. What a lousy program. You download it and can do essentially nothing with it unless you upgrade to pro!

Works great for my needs. I needed an app that could simply browse images on an ftp server with the option to copy them into an iMessage or save them for use later. It does this very well.

Works great. App works great within LAN and on the net. I just wish I could transfer in the background without the app open.

A bug ?. Seems to ignore the passive /active parameter and send PASV anyway ! If the server answers 502, it stops.

Misleading. The program connects to an FTP server and that's it unless you pay. I was expecting some file management capabilities but the free version is little more than a file viewer.

Only one connection… unless you pay. Why even list the app for free if you need to pay to have more than one connection? Absolutely useless as an ftp client.

Free version works great!. Well aside from the bad reviews and the one in French, I have tried the free version and well although it's not 100% functional, it's what we pay for (free .99) I will be trying the paid version for sure. Great job!

It's ok for small files. It will connect but unfortunately it will stall on large file or folder transfer. I think it could be purposely done since you can select multiple files unless you upgrade to pro. I could not transfer more than a gig after testing. Connection is fine because I can navigate on the FTP connection while the transfer is frozen. No resume function on folders with multiple files. After a certain time it will disconnect from my FTP. Long story short, if you're willing to pay for pro for the basic stuff like "select all" that's locked away I guess it's for you but too many connections problems. Can't tell if it's a big or deliberately done due to free versions restrictions.

FTP and more. This app is amazing. I was looking for a software to access my files in a raspberry pu I have and turn out I can also play music and movies using this app. Thé also detected that I got VLC in my phone and provide me a way to stream my videos there

Latest update huge problem. The latest update has messed up my files and this app is now useless to me...please fix or restore this app as it was!

Excellent. Excellent performance for a free FTP client

file management is a little tricky, otherwise is great. bit difficult to figure out how to upload files at first but i eventually found you need to put them in the ftp folder via the files app then you can move them to your server. bit tricky to move files as well, i would prefer if it like had a move option then you navigate to where you want and press move here or something like this aside from these two issues this app works great, no connection errors ive found with other apps, and it seems to have pretty good file transfer speeds. the free version is more than satisfactory, no adds and although only one server thats all i personally need. and you can always disconnect from the server to connect to another

Misleading title. Even though the description states it only works with FTP with the free version (at the very bottom) the title of the app is misleading as it does not work with SCP or other secure methods. You can't use in-app upgrades to get more.

Cash grab. Now wants you to pay to transfer files when previously it was free. I only used this app to transfer files between my vita and phone. Guess who's deleting the app and buying a cable to connect?

No apparent way to transfer files. There is no evident way to transfer files with this version.

Good for playing FLAC from home server. I was looking for just this functionality.

Directories. Directories disappear after streaming a video

Doesn’t work well. Reports transfer success with 0 files transferred. Cannot delete or reconfigure connection settings.

Hangs on file download. Ready to buy the Pro version, but if the free version fails to load files, it's pointless. FTP works fine on PC client. The app loaded directories, but failed to even load simple JPEG images.

SFTP Does Not Work. All the components are present for a decent iOS app, but it is unable to establish a straightforward connection to sever.

Gave up. Apple anything and ftp, not worth it at all. Nothing connects just spent months trying and every app available, just sucks…we quit ftp anything

Fake Free App. I agree with a few other reviews that this is a fake free app. Very limited on what you can do for “free”. I feel it is a bait and switch by leading you to the pro version. I feel it is deceptive to have a different pro app rather than showing a free app with in app purchases.

Doesn’t allow file transfer to server. My iPhone 15 pro max can’t transfer files to the server. I can view my server but I can not copy files

Cannot Upload. Setup my connection to find that you cannot upload. There was no clear explanation if the paid version offered upload, so they lost a purchase and received a poor review for a pointless application.

Sounded great but hands down the worst ftp app. Without a Pro account, don’t expect to use this for actual ftp. Horrible bait and play switchy. Don’t spend any time trying to get this ftp program to work.

“Permission Denied”. When I open a port to my Xbox (what I’m using it for) I get “Permission denied” and then a log in screen. My Microsoft user and password doesn’t work so idk what to do

Deleted my entire mods for my game. Just deleting the one folder that has a broken mod and it goes and targets the whole entire folder instead of the targeted folder

Don't works with IPV6. My phone has IPV6 and I can't access the FTP of my company when I'm over LTE, as soon as I use a wifi connection with IPV4 I can access without problems.

Lie. It’s not an FTP client.. This app isn’t an FTP client at all. It’s nothing more than a file browser. But I guess that average Iphone user is too stupid to know the difference.

SFTP won’t work. I tried to use his app as sftp client. I was able to login to mthe server, however a download is stuck at 0% forever without any error or warning

Ruined it. The dev took away basic features like actually using ftp behind an upgrade. Really sad because this app was great.

Useless. Tried backing up my photos but unfortunately I'll have to select 2,000+ photos one by one since there is no select all options just to see them so that I can move them. This app dropped the ball

No Uploads. No clear way to upload or download files from my device. I can make a folder or a text file, zero options to do anything else. This is click bait software when intended functions are not readily accessible.

Does not allow you to transfer files to/from FTPs for free. To transfer files, it wants you to pay for the premium version. This is unacceptable.

Craps Out Constantly. When trying to transfer large amounts of photos and videos from the library, it does maybe 17 to 34 then just dies. A shame, because it was easy to use .

Worst app EVER!!!. Not only did it not set up an FTP server, but it was confusing to navigate, required you to move files to its special folder, and after I deleted the app, I lost 11 gigabytes of files after I moved them to that folder! What a load of baloney!

Cannot connect using afp. I have tried all different types of settings and I cannot get it to work!

Cannot transfer iPhone to sftp. That app cannot transfer files from an iPhone to a sftp. That said is enough. Don’t waste your time.
