Fusion App Review. Love this app! Easy to use and keeps me from having to go to main unit to change zones & volume level. Great on the boat!

Can’t adjust tone setting. Every time I adjust the tone settings (bass, middle, treble) the change only stays for the current song and by the next song the tone setting are back to the original location. Please help this is so frustrating.

Volume control erratic. App use to work ok now volume changes randomly without any input - seems to happen while I’m using other apps like iMessage or What’s app. Also app settings are inconsistent between zones - some can be disabled others can’t. Poor UI and flaky integration with iOS.

Works great, I’d like to see expanded features. The app works great, better over wifi than Bluetooth. I setup a travel wifi router in the boat and connected a remote to the hidden head unit via Ethernet. As far as the app, more volume presets would be great. It has two and I could really use at least 4. How about tone presets as well changing situations like being at the sandbar vs wakeboarding. All in all though the app is great.

Fusion-Link Not Connecting. Would sure like this app to work but I have to uninstall reinstall it every week just so it will connect to my UD-755. Very frustrating. Tech support was helpful and walked me through things to try but ultimately it required the disconnecting of my phone from the stereo and doing uninstall/reinstall to get it to connect. Shame since the app sees the unit but just can’t connect. Hopefully Fusion puts some effort on this and makes it functional.

Fusion mobile app. Been using the app for about 2 years now. The app had a few bugs which have been addressed. Your tech support has been great as well. Keep up the improvements. Great sound on the water is imperative.😀

A must have!!. This app is amazing when on the boat, I can select which deivice I want paired to the boat, I can also tune the sound and adjust the tower separate from the interior and change the name of all the setting. There is also an option for preset volume levels. This is useful to have one for when your surfing and then when they fall you click the other setting and it turns the volume down quickly. Highly recommend this app!

Volume control is terrible. I loved the original version of the app where the volume control was right on the main screen with the rest of the quick access controls. Now you have to leave the main screen and go into an adjustment section just to control the volume and it’s not a button it’s a slider. The slider has terrible response and it’s a pain to use when cruising down the lake. Please put the simple volume control back on the main screen. This alone makes me not want to use the app. I’ve had friends enjoy my system using the old app and decide to buy a fusion head unit. Now it’s an entirely different experience for the worse.

Full radio control from my cozy seat. Love that we can control all functions of the unit from my phone. Never have to get up and walk over to the radio control, wether it’s Bluetooth or local stations.

Works as Advertised. I have no issues with Fusion. Sound quality seems fantastic to me.

Quality App. The Fusion app is easy to use and very robust. Haven't had any issues at all. Updating the stereo software is kind of kinky but it works. It takes a long time and doesn't update progress much.

Fusion app. If you enjoy easy access to your electronics and you a Fusion setup, you’ll surely enjoy this app. Great for fine tuning if you have different audio zones.

Sit Back and Control. Great to be able to sit back and have all the controls at your finger tips. After playing some cool tunes up on the flybridge with heavy bass go sit back on the salon couch and change the speakers to the salon and up the treble, change the input from Bluetooth iPhone to Aux TV to watch some football. Then, break out the wine after the game and switch over to be a easy listening radio station and turn down the volume. Easy listening with an easy app . Thanks Fusion for a great app that never lets me down!!! Have fun without having to get up every time you want to make a change.

Not a fan of the generic app icon. The former app icon was useful. The new, generic one is meaningless and more difficult to track (or direct someone else without knowledge of the audio system) down while boating. At least give us the option to set it to the old one.

Thanks for the power button!. I had previously requested that this feature get added — allow the user to turn OFF the power via the app. (Powering ON was already there). Glad to see that you’re listening to your customers! Thanks!

So easy to use. I use this system on my boat and the app reaches everywhere on the boat. Actually more convenient to use than the Fusion blue tooth remote on my dash. I’ve recommended this app to my dock neighbors that have Fusion systems and they love it. The art on the display looks great too.

Volume Controls Need Work. I like the looks but there are too many steps to get to the volume control. I miss being able to adjust the volume with the volume controls of my phone. When you open the app if the music is playing you should be able to adjust volume immediately.

Update resets app. The latest update resets the settings in the app, including disconnecting the Bluetooth from your phone. You basically have to set it up like it’s from the factory after downloading the latest update, both on your phone and boat

Simple app but it works. The app is simple yet effective. I like that I can adjust the different volume zones without having to go through the head unit, leaving more time off the boat and on the sandbar. Couple suggestions for the developers: 1. Allow users to pair systems (boats) and sync music through the app. 2. Create the Apple Watch application! Would be great for when we’re fishing, cleaning or off the boat.

Sirius-ly missing Sirius functions. *update* what happened to the ability to tune Sirius Radio from the app. And now missing Sirius Favorites. Now only way change Sirius channel is to walk 30’ use the head-unit to adjust, and walk back because the new app simply does not offer selection of favorites or category tuning. Thanks from trying, but the UX is now a 1/10 because the UI simply fails. App is unresponsive (iPhone X). Update delivers ERROR. Controls simply are not intuitive. Easier to walk to other end of vessel to manually adjust volume. This update / release is a failure.

Great job!. I really love this app and it’s interfaces! Before the app, I always had to get up to adjust the volume. A fellow boater hooked me up with the app and my whole attitude changed to one big positive experience! I can do more with the app than I knew how to do with the head unit.

Cheesy. New app logo is pretty cheesy and doesn’t represent the quality of brand we were sold to install in 1/4-million dollar boats, old logo was fine. Among other issues with app randomly not pairing to stereos after a few days of non usage and having to play guess what will fix it today. When its working it’s awesome.

everything you could ask for. Wouldn't change a thing. Works perfectly. Only thing to ask for is a Apple watch companian app.

Fusion app and products. Most intuitive easy to use and best sounding marine stereo on market. Exceeded all expectation. Expensive but very well worth it.

Great Marine System. Nothing but good to say regarding the Fusion Stereo receiver for our boat! Very reliable, Bluetooth options are great and it does get wet and continues to work properly! No hiccups! Very satisfied and would highly recommend.

Great remote for Fusion gear. It’s a great app, and I use it frequently. It includes all the functionality I need, with an intuitive interface. It’s an excellent remote control. I’m using it right now... :-) Earlier versions of the app had stability issues, but that appears to be fixed with this release.

Still no Apple Watch support. It’s been over 2 years since I see people have been requesting an Apple Watch App and still nothing. As others have said, having a remote control on your wrist would be a huge benefit to controlling the unit while around the boat or in the water without having to carry your phone.

An awesome addition to an awesome radio!. We’ve been using our Fusion radio on our Tug for 5 years now. The Fusion-Link app is a perfect companion to the radio and it is one of the few apps I would not be without!

Another App That Never Updates. Shame on you Fusion for not updating this app. No integration with Apple Watch? Are you kidding? Get up with the times. We want to be able to control our systems from our watch. The Bluetooth should automatically reconnect to the same device it was last connected to when it returns to the Fusion system. Why should I have to manually reconnect my iPhone to Fusion every time I return to it? WTH?!

Great sound system!. Love our new Fusion-Link sound system! Great volume without compromising sound quality.

Apple Watch. Please make this compatible with the Apple Watch! I would like to control volume and playlist with watch because it’s waterproof and I have it on all the time. Otherwise I have to get back in the boat to change songs and adjust volume.

Functionality is missing. I used it originally to set up my stereo and update but not a daily user anymore. Maybe 1 out of 20 trips on my boat I use it. Now if it had an Apple Watch app that would be nice. But it’s kinda a set and forget app. Not the worst thing I guess! I could not get an update done with out it!

Please create Apple Watch app!. Would love to see user interface improvements and certainly an Apple Watch app. Need a simple way to adjust audio while hanging out in the water without a phone.

Very disappointing. I got a Fusion MS-RA210 to listen to Sirius XM on my boat. There is no way to set or select presets in the app—whatever happened to pushing a button to set a preset or to select one? The app, and the radio itself, are needlessly complicated and completely unintuitive. The radio documentation was written by engineers, fo engineers, an increasingly frequent Garmin failure. Not recommended.

Needs smartwatch capability!!. Who has time to captain a ski boat and use a app? This is desperately seeking the ability to change volume via smart watch with basic functions. Other than that it’s great for zone control.

Day 3 app crashed & required an uninstall/reinstall. This app crashed and required an uninstall & re-install after 3 days of using. At the moment it just flashes back and forth between the WiFi screen as a blank screen, which is not very useful. It’s also exceedingly slow to respond and astonishingly difficult to control the volume. Let’s say your music is too loud in zone 3 and you want to turn it down, expect about 15-18 seconds to: open app, select the head unit, select the volume, select zone 3, then frustratingly try to slide the volume down (usually takes about 3 swipes), and finally about 3 seconds before the volume actually goes down. And this is on an iPhone X. Overall not very satisfied.

Very Functional. I can control most everything on the stereo with the App. Haven’t seen a way to power on and off though.

Fantastic Stereo and App. I was apprehensive after reading some of the app reviews for this radio. I was transitioning from a 14 yr old stereo in my boat with two hardwired remotes that would no longer function, this seemed like an ideal solution. I’ve used the app a handful of times, both with a lightening cable and Bluetooth to control the radio. The sound is crisp, if you go into the volume control you can adjust each zone separately. However, off the main control screen, I can adjust the total volume with a simple tap, not a slide. Song changing, and changing sources is effortless. I can even tune the stereo settings from the app. Couldn’t be happier.

Very convenient. This app allows us to control the volume of the RA70 via Bluetooth which is very useful!

Fusion Link. Easy to use. Makes the Fusion radio more enjoyable by being able to control from anywhere on the boat.

Farming Fusion App. This App is a very big improvement from the previous APP. Easy to use. easy to connect to other Fusions systems instead of pairing

No more volume control. Latest update crashes when I try to use the slider button with my RA-70n. No way to control the volume from the app. And says update failed when I try to update the head unit. Update: after the volume bug was fixed the app went back to being great for what I use it for, which is being able to control the volume and inputs from the dock or other rafted boats. Still can’t get the remote update to work, but not a huge issue for me.

App no longer shows settings. The app no longer shows settings and adjustments after the last update. Please fix this also the app crashes and hangs

Controlling Fusion stereos over Wi-Fi using the Fusion-Link App. Keeps getting better with time. Performing software updates on Fusion stereos has never been easier. Fusion Apollo SRX400, WB670, RA670, & RA770 are the ONLY marine stereos that have Apple AirPlay2 built in. Streaming music over Wi-Fi using Apple AirPlay2 is the greatest feature ever.

Nice app. All of the reviews are old. Works well with boat and I imagine how it could work well with anything else. Trust recent reviews. Easy to control sound in zones, settings, info, everything. Great app!

Clumsy. Great idea but needs to be cleaned up and make it a little snappier (iphone8 so not a phone problem). Also, PLEASE add apple watch support. This would be huge. I have 2 nrx remotes and also linked to my garmin plotter but watch support would be awesome when at the sandbar or anchored and relaxing on the inflatables. Workaround is to connect iPhone via Bluetooth to md-650 and use Apple Watch native music controls to skip songs and adjust volume but that means no independent zone control :(

Love the fusion Apollo system!. Top notch marine audio for the salt water environment. Tech support team is top notch. I just installed a new fusion Apollo head unit, 2400 watt amp, 3 sets of signature series speakers and their sub and my boat sounds incredible.

From great to crap. Worked perfectly when I got the app months ago - finally went offshore and using satellite radio and went to the app to change station - didn’t work. Called fusion and they said it’s a known bug…..now have to control the radio from inside the cabin to adjust the station. Only happens when using XM radio. Horrible.

Here’s my view. The app is great on the face…control over the important functions remotely which is a must this day in age…..that said two issues I have is not being able to install updates from the app direct from the phone or tablet, Fusion-Link need to solve this asap. And I would like to be able to change and personalize the profile picture on the unit!!! Give me those and I’ll give you the fifth star!!!!

New Apollo Unit and Bluetooth keeps cutting out. Have tried this app with three different phones and the unit keeps dropping Bluetooth. Not just from the app. Not happy with bugs.

Clunky interface, no Apple Watch. Apollo unit; One can go nuts trying to find some basic functionality, like pairing!! Duh! Some fusion small speakers need more power to work, makes volume hard to set . Fail No Apple Watch. I know Garmin own it, but I would now use another brand if buying again. Even the Garmin watch interface wasn’t great. Usual Garmin buying brands and they restrict it’s functionality.

Awesome App. Gives you the power of being able to remote control anywhere in your boat. i used a Netgear WNR2200 router which supports DHCP plug and play. its also 12V transformer plug pack which means you can hard wire it to 12V boat wiring. mine works from 50mtrs away standing on the beach.

Seamless connection. A great app, easy to connect and control. It automatically connects to my caravan sound system without any problems at all.

Portrait Mode vs Landscape. I am disappointed this app is only available in landscape mode and not portrait mode on my ipad. The iPhone app is in portrait mode so why not the ipad My ipad is mounted on the dash on my boat in portrait and there is no room to mount it in landscape.

Absolute waste of time. Downloaded the app 2 years ago and couldn't connect to my MS-RA770. Tried again today - no success. The irony when trying to connect via the app is that I’m playing music over Bluetooth.

Good reliable system AV650 dual control. I did an upgrade recently and find the user experience much simpler to follow. Only one point. Where has the tone control gone? It fires up much more quickly and some of the screens have changed for the better

Update coming. Although this latest update does have some bugs, I caught up with the guys from Fusion at the Melbourne Boat Show this weekend and they have confirmed that the update will be fixed and they are working on it now. Good work Fusion.

Great product and great app!. The RA770 and Fusion app are packed full of features, but you need to be patient to get to learn how to take advantage of them all.

FUSION hIde away nightmare. The fusion link app just stopped working. Absolutely hopeless. iPhone will play through Bluetooth but the app doesn’t recognise the stereo. Hopeless.

Stereo disconnecting from iphone - One day works next day not. Iphone will only connect sometimes. Everything on however message on iphone "No Stereos available" Followed steps anyone having problems?

Great ,but!. Love the App, great layout and intuitive. Works perfectly most of the time however it fails to sync with the stereo from time to time. The Tablet or phone has connected to the stereo but the App fails to recognize this. Turn it off turn it on, round and round and eventually it will just work. Gets old pretty quick. Using Apple, maybe that's the issue?

Great App. Does everything in a great and easy to follow manner a very good unit we use in our caravan regularly

still drama with the unit firmware. Got 2x MS RA70 units 2-3 years ago, and they are miserable when playing from an USB stick. No matter how big the USB stick, loading songs is very slow, max only 2 folder layers, it remembers last song playing, after switching off/on but if you get out to look for another song, it jumps right back on the start of the possibly long folder list. The MS RA70 firmware/app also doesn’t sort folders after name correctly, when adding a few folders, those end up at the end and don’t sort with the others which line up. Solid stereo else-wise, but if I would have known.... You can upgrade the app as often as you like, if those fundamentals don‘t get solved

Awesome but missing Apple Watch support. I absolutely love our Fusion stereo in our caravan and especially this app. I don’t like using the phrase ‘game changer’ but for us, this combined functionality is just that. It’s a simple thing but being able to individually control inside and outside speaker volume alone makes this system awesome but also to switch between inputs sources, skip tracks and tune the radio all through the app is just brilliant. The only thing stopping me giving 5 stars is the lack of Apple Watch support. That would be the icing on the cake. I get Fusion is owned by Garmin but you’re limiting the appeal of your system by ignoring this section of the market. I imagine the same could be said about not supporting Samsung smart watches. Anyway…we live in hope and continue to be satisfied with the phone app.

Works great, no issues.. I would like a remote for the home that works this well. Hard on the iPhone battery, but that's because I was using it for 5 hours straight, and showing it to my friends. iPad version looks better, and the iPad as a much better battery life for something like this. Lots of people asked if it would stream music to the Fusion deck...and no, it does not. I'm sure as time goes on, I'll find things I wish they had done to it, but right now, I'm very happy with it.

Fusion stereo. Best marine head units in the business.

Apple watch. Not working yet on the Apple watch! Please, figure it out, It would be great to control from the watch instead of taking my iPhone in my hand while driving...

A pleasant surprise. I’m always a skeptic about such apps but one works really well. Easy to set up and use.

Pathetic. Bluetooth connected, will play music from iPhone. Can’t setup app - will not find the stereo

Last two versions broke iPhone XS Max display. Version 2.8 doesn’t work - cannot select Menu, or Settings etc. 2.8.1 did not correct it. Barely usable. Sad because other than these latest problems it is a wonderful product.

Nice Display. Intuitive interface.. Well build, easy to use. Makes using the stereo in the boat more accessible and allows easy changes to settings that have multiple pathways within the stereo interface.

We know, Garmin owned, but make it iWatch compatible!. I am a Garmin and Fusion fun for at least 10 years, although got into iWatch, as many of us. It might be mostly a tactical choice to not have iWatch integration , due Garmin smart watches direct competition, but might point is still is a place for each product in the market. So please integrate the Fusion with iWatch. I use Fusion on my cruiser and dinghy, great products and awesome integration with the plotter and other toys on the boat. The software works as expected, updates sometimes are tricky to install.

Nice!. So far no beefs. Easy to use. Responsive. No connection issues so far. I like being able to control my iTunes music functions directly from the app. Also being able to adjust the different zone volumes is excellent.

This app is a struggle!. Unfortunately, this app is very unreliable and inconsistent in its ability to connect using Bluetooth. Initially, BT connections were slow to connect but did connect after 10 or 15 minutes, in spite of my iPhone being within 1 metre of my UD-750. I also have a Coast Marine WIFI on the boat which I use as a LAN to connect my laptop, Raymarine instruments, Vesper Marine AIS and Raspberry Pi 3+ computer via WIFI. However, I have not been successful in connecting my Fusion UD-750 to this app though my LAN. Fusion is a great marine stereo, however, I’m concerned that their recent sale to Garmin may be the reason that this app is no longer reliable. 😕

Solid and intuitive. AirPlay beats Bluetooth for ensuring video and sound are synced.

Part of RV luxe experience. First exposure to Fusion was an easy startup experience. Accessing my music with quality sound via Fusion, great!

Great app, best “remote control”. Very convenient, can set volume for each zone from anywhere on the boat.

Bluetooth does not always connect. When the phone does connect, it plays and acts like a Bluetooth speaker. But the app cannot see the Fusion Radio nor control it. Just searches.

WORKED WELL BEFORE UPADTE. SRX400 stereo worked well on factory software, updated the headunit and now the Bluetooth is terrible and unplayable and the unit itself on the native screen lags terrible. How can I backdate this unit? Two factory resets and still no good Current version is 6.09 build number 153.

Any Updates?!. Seems from what I can finds this App is not compatible with all current recent IPhones. How about an update? Very difficult to update RA770 even with USB drive has to be very specific type.

Won’t connect to Bluetooth. My phone connects to the head unit fine via Bluetooth but the app doesn’t see the Bluetooth connection. Keeps saying no stereos found. Old version worked fine.

Much hated V2.0 brings Wi-Fi connectivity issues. Use to have a seemless wifi connectivity everytime with old app for YEARS. Now its extremely spotty. Called tech support and they blamed my network😡. Please fix the device discovery in the app the device has a valid IP and is NOT my network! Very annoying.

Good Concept. I agree with the post earlier. Get these bugs fixed and please sync with my I watch. My older stereo system did this and it’s very cumbersome to kelp getting out of the water to change music and volume.

Mark H. We have Fusion units on both our boats and we love them. Very versatile and generally they work very well.

Latest update (aug 22) breaks zone control. Can no longer operate our zones, only one zone shows up. Also menu screen is blank. Fix this please.

Can’t control the volume!. I like the new look of the app. But every time I try and hit the eq icon to adjust the sound the app exits and goes to the home screen. Absolutely useless when underway and trying to control the volume and such.

App crashes and no volume control. Bought this stereo because of the ability to control volume from my phone. Now it crashes when you select the volume controls. This needs fixed ASAP

Fusion Link is the greatest. I love the seamless use of the Fusion link to control my head deck!

Marginal at Best. Have used for over a month now, across multiple iPhone platforms. Connectivity issues, volume control issues. All apps and software up to date. I love Garmin products and have all marine Garmin hardware on my boat. This app is disappointing. Writing in hopes someone reads it and does something about it.

Update = Nope. I have a UD 650 and an iPhone 7 Plus, the app is stuck looking for a Bluetooth device while simultaneously connected and playing from my library. There is no option to move to the main menu. I’m disappointed in this product, from the radio to the app, it is a constant struggle to keep these connected after the app update. I’m considering calling for a refund or at least replacing with another system. Strongly do not recommend. By the way, if you want to call, wait time is always 35+ minutes.... not as great a company as you would think given the value prop

June 2022 review. I used this app on a friends new marine install. Liked it so much I’ve added 3 Fusion receivers to my charter rental boat company this month. The subwoofer and zone controls work great!!!

Constantly doesn’t work. App constantly crashes - will loose Bluetooth connection between songs - screen goes blank when try to toggle between media

Solid when it works.... The Fusion app is great for volume control (when it works) BUT is very basic. Some simple tweaks could go miles! ...I would suggest integrating GPS so that when the boat increases speed the volume increases. Very very simple and tons of other apps do it but don’t work well w the fusion as the volume is controlled via the app and stereo (not the phone)! Thanks

Fusion head unit. So far very happy with the performance and the app makes it easy to use

No volume control and update error on radio. Title says it all, can’t control volume and when I try to update radio, it says error, closes app when you hit volume button, needs to be fixed, I have a Marine business which I sell and install these, will stop if this keeps going in this direction

Good Concept. This is a great concept, it just needs some tuning up! I would love for it to become accessible on my Apple Watch so I could control my stereo while in the water.

Works but.... The whole connection and interface needs a refresh to simplify. Can’t use volume on phone to control. Just seems poorly integrated.

Good App, needs a few tweaks. Very pleased with the Fusion app and the control it gives. We have two separate amps, one of them is the older style and the setting recommended by the DSP configuration were not correct. The new amplifiers have a feature called Smart Tune that gets around this issue. General functionality of the app is great.

I watch. You guys should extend this app to work with I watch. Need this for my boat.

Truck-it. Before the June 18 update I would have rated this five stars. It worked great for our use. Now no volume control on the main screen drives me crazy. I want the other version back with the home screen like the one pictured in the App Store

Is this for real?. When you drop $700 for a head unit you expect the Ap to at least provide basic functionality. Complete fail. I have come to expect cutting edge audio devices from Fusion. It is time to get back to the basics I hope the next release will at least begin providing the basic functionality... then build upon that.

Glitchy. If you are listening to Sirius XM and try to change inputs or access any settings using the app you just get a blank screen… junk. Using it with an MS-RA210

Awesome!!. The Fusion app works great with my RA60 It is easy to set channels, switch speaker channels, volume forward/rear. Highly recommend.

Easy peesy. Easily connects and great that it allowed dual zone volume control.

Won’t work in “portrait” mode. I love the app but wish it would rotate into portrait mode on my iPad. It only works in landscape mode. Seems like a simple fix.

At least we got Party Bus Mode, right!?. - “M” “Auto” “Star” are just on screen, no explanation of what they are supposed to be doing. Doesn’t matter, as they don’t do anything anyway. - how do I get to my Favorite stations on XM? It’s like someone forgot the all the sub menus. - volume set up is clumsy. - Not 100% there is an update, kinda looks like there is, but app crashes when I hit it. - Swipe down from top of screen is trying to access/launch something, but will not hold on iPhone X - it’s just bad. I’ve used Sonos and Apple Music, both notoriously bad, and this is worse.

App crashes. Latest update to support Apollo now crashes when used in msRa 70 when you try to use the slider controls on the bottom right. You can no longer control the volume. I wish I could go back 2 days and stop the update.

Volume control no longer works. Been using the old app to control all zones of my boat. Worked great besides occasional connectivity issues that may be the WiFi. Now the new app crashes every time I hit certain buttons and the volume control buttons don’t work at all. Mute works, but that’s it for volume control. Please fix ASAP.

Elegant Interface. Exceptionally well designed and very easy to use.

PLEASE FIX VOLUME CONTROL!!!!. Needs a plus minus. New amp went backwards!! Takes forever or a hard push to get volume controls to respond. First world problems but come on!!! 😏😄

Classic Rock 312 Sportsman. Oat. Awesome sound. Sometimes difficult to connect to with Iphone.

Fusion-Link. This app is great , it would be good if you could turn the unit on or off . Also their can only be 1 user connected so I have to shut off Bluetooth to my wife use her cell Bluetooth. All in all great app and great music with Fusion-Link Definitely get the amp that is a game changer.

Great for boats with two stations. This way me and the boys can rock out up top while the ladies and doggy’s can mildly jam on the lower deck, fusion for the win
