This is a phenominal app!. You can flag errors, self corrections, and get an audio recording. You input the number of words at the end and it does all the math...plus, you can go back and re-listen to the readings (seeing where you flagged errors.)

Don't fall for this app. This app is useless. You have to manually input the number of words, corrections, and self corrections manually. Don't pay 3.99 for this app! Everything is manual except calculating WPM. Of course you have to first tell it how many words you read first.

Could be better. Easy to use but can't receive the e-mailed info. after several attempts. It would be better if the info. could also be saved within the app. and accessed online in case the e-mails don't go through.

Running record. Just downloaded this app and love the ability to share but would be nicer if there was a way to store records by names so you could see growth on one screen for one student.

Running record. Don't waste money on this if you are a true reading specialist. Not informative info for instruction.

Just a suggestion. Love this app, use it all the time. Just wish that there was either an undo button for when you accidentally hit the reset button or there was a history button so you can go back and look at what was just done. Thanks!

Awesome!. Records, flags, calculates!!

Update not good. No longer can you quickly calculate accuracy rate & self-correction ratio due to having to start the recording function. Don't often need to record. Fix this or provide the old version again.

Not what I expected. I thought this app would tell me what level the child was on in reading. Not just count the errors and accuracy. Not what I thought, wasted my money.

Perfect!. Excellent tool for calculating running records. Highly recommended!

Teacher. This is terrific, kids are urged to perform better too, not just for assessment but a good teaching tool!!!

Suggestion!. Have found this app to be very helpful. Wish it would calculate WPM according how many errors student made, rather than just how may words the student read in general.

Fabulous App!. I haven't used this in the classroom yet but tested it out on myself. Everything is easy to use and highly useful. I haven't been able to successfully send a report to either of my two email addresses though and I wonder if I am missing a step or if others have had this problem too.

Just a stopwatch. So disappointed! I thought this would count the words in the recording, for $4.99! Nothing more than a glorified stopwatch

Very Useful App. I have used this app for a couple of years. It is a fantastic way to calculate reading fluency in words per minute and percent. It gives another option besides having a student read for 1 minute and stop. With this app I can allow the student to read the entire passage and then calculate words per minute regardless of whether it took them 30 seconds or 5 minutes to complete the passage. I do think the recent update should include an option for the older, more simplified version. I can see why the coding would be useful but it means there is an extra step in flagging errors and this slows things down quite a bit, especially when calculating fluency for word probes. If the error coding were optional, this app would be 5 stars.

SO useful!. I'm a literacy teacher and staff developer and this tool is so perfect for running records. Makes everything so much quicker. If you do any form of running records you can't not download it. I love the simultaneous recording/timing feature, and I can't wait to see where it goes with future updates!

Broken for VPP installs. This app does not work when installed via VPP. Only works when installed via App Store. We are a school. We install EVERYTHING via VPP! There is no indication in the description of the app that it is not supported for VPP. Tried to contact developer numerous times but received no response.

Great Resource. This has been so helpful during my guided reading lessons!

Glitchy!. Nothing like in the middle of testing a kid when your timer/recorder goes glitchy and won't pause and the time starts jumping around. Please fix! This app is unreliable otherwise.

Help - no longer works!!. It has worked in the past, but not now. Bad "fix"

Love it!. I love this app. It allows me to record students weekly reading and email the sound bite to parents or myself! The only downside is that some parents can't access the audio file on their technology. Regardless, my students LOVED listening to themselves!!

Help!. All of a sudden I am not able to email myself the recording. Any one else having this problem? Help appreciated.

Happy I Purchased!. Would purchase again, and recommend for any Special Ed Teacher. Use all the time for Fountas & Pinnell and weekly running records. Does all the work for you then let's you email recording and results.

Give the old screen back!. Nobody wants changed features when it comes to running records recording! I want the app I purchased. Mid-week of completing assessments...and you change the screen. The new screen is terrible. I will give a higher rating when you give back the app I purchased! I hate the latest update. It is very unclear!

Really useful!. This app made record keeping so much easier. My kids love hearing themselves read too.

Suggestions. Is there a way you can add the ability to attach a photo scan of the cover of the book and the page the student is reading? That would be super helpful!

Running record calculator. I have recently purchased and used this app for assessing my yr2 class on their PM bench marks. The only downfall is you can't save the recording on the iPad. However you can email it to yourself so you have a copy of the assessment. I really like the WPM feature. When your assessing only a few students a day it allows you to group them in terms of their actual fluency and their ability.

App Image shows save option.. Thought I'd be able to save results , but I have to purchase another app. Misleading .

Great app!. This is the best app that I found for calculating running records. It does what it says it will do. Being able to review and e-mail the info and audio is a great tool for educators! I would rate it 5 stars if there was a way to specify the kind of errors being made (omissions, insertions, substitutions, etc.) Thank you for producing a quality product!
