Pragmatic and effective. Best dictionary app period, but there are too many ads

Nearly five star. This is a helpful reference tool. The only issue I have is that when I want to know how to translate and pronounce a Thai word, I have to type in the English word, find the Thai word, and then type in the Thai word to get the pronunciation icon.

Easy to use and love it. The app is so easy to use and it translates 100 times better than google translation. And it's free. Love it.

One of the best Thai-English Dictionary!!!. I'm Thai. I've been living in america for 16 years. All the time when I watch CNN,there are words that I never heard of,I would right away open this app and typed what I heard even I knew my spelling might be wrong but no afraid on the right side the words suggestion would pop up so you can look for the correcting words! Very useful! I've been using this app for a while. This app really help me improve my vocabularies and more. I really recommended this app to anyone who is looking for a good TH-ENG dictionary. The new update made this app even better. The interface is simple and it's FREE! Can't beat that! Thank you to whoever made this app possible!

Fake rewards points. Don’t apply for their credit card. What ever point show on your account is fake , trying to but air tickets cost $800 my point worth $201 but the customer service said tickets should be exactly $201 to eligible to use the point. Is that make sense!?!

Beat Foreign Language app I have Ever Used. This app ROCKS! I am a farang, but I speak Thai. It’s been 40 yrs since I lived in Thailand. I’m headed back there now, so I needed to do some brushing up. Other apps don’t offer half the abilities of this app. You can speak English or Thai into the microphone, and it will bring up the word along with options, examples and synonyms. Click on any word and it will bring that word up. Click on the speaker icon and a Thai voice will pronounce the word. You can also type in words—Thai or English—in the search bar and go about your search that way. Get it! Don’t bother with the other ones.

Awesome dictionary. Great dictionary I've ever used. It shows not only in Thai meanings, but also in English meanings. I can search both English and Thai in the box without changing a language. How cool it is!

Includes it all. Love how this app includes all the different dictionaries into one quick search. I even had a custom dictionary file that I had to use another app for and so wrote the developer on a long shot to ask about getting it added, and a few hours later it was a part of the app! Pretty impressive.

Very usable. Great reference tool. I am an American, married to a native Thai woman. Both my wife and I use this app regularly as a reference and teaching/learning tool. I've tried a few others, but I've always come back to this one. The UI isn't at all fancy or especially nice to look at, but the links within the text to various sources and audio clips are incredibly functional and efficient. Give it a try.

Thai Dict box. This is the best dictionary so far that I have used, it tell you what type of the word such as noun or adjective and also give you examples of the word. It’s also pronounce for in English, America and Australia.

I use it often!. I use it often, for my Thai homework, and to look up how to spell words when chatting with my Thai friends. The only drawback is the interruptions by ads, but hey, it's free! Thanks for the great app!

Helpful and intuitive. This dictionary doesn't handle entire sentences, but it does handle a lot of common and idiomatic phrases. I also like the simple romanization system, but I could not find a guide to some of the special characters used in the system. Another useful feature of this dictionary is its inclusion of other languages that I am studying, without my having asked for it.

Great resource. This app is pretty Spot on with the translation. I’m a fluent Thai speaking individual and often refer to this app when in need.

The best dictionary app I have ever used.. I like that this app always have more explanations and example of the words. Synonyms and Antonyms, along with the accent pronunciations. It helps me pronounce the words correctly or close enough to the native accents. Thank you so much.

Solid. This dictionary lets you search for whole phrases and look up individual words in example sentences or compound words without losin your original search. Both of these features are really useful! It also has most words I look up and the translations are usually accurate and useful.

.... It's good But TOO many ads

More than five stars if without this bug. I am Dict Box Thai premium user. Although this dictionary is perfect in its features, it has a serious bug when used on my m1 Macbook Air. It uses CPU 100% almost all the time. Very power hungry and can drain Macbook battery so fast by making it hot up to moren than 95 degree C so much like gaming. Dear Developer, please fix this, and yours would be much more than perfect. Thank you.

Always get the words I look for. I like this app and use it as my primary dictionary. It contains meanings from various sources, including various major pronunciations. I like it a lot enough to buy the full version. I really recommend this app. BUT after last update on 8 June 17, I even cannot open the app. I tried deleting the app and downloaded it again. It doesn't work. Please fix it. 😤

Excellent dictionary. Extensive, light on memory, never crashes. The advertisements are a real pain, every time you switch to the app you have to deal with them. Almost 5 stars.

Greate dictionary. I used to use dictionary that had ad that was so annoying. This one is better.

Best Dictionary. Not only is it very comprehensive (incorporating many dictionaries into one) but it also features an extremely versatile word list and review feature which is perfect for memorizing vocabulary. I use this app literally every day. A valuable app for free, and it is absolutely worth supporting. However I have run into performance issues especially with the flashcards feature: it drains my battery very quickly and loads quite slowly especially as the number of words in the list grows. Also, even after purchasing the upgrade to premium, I still got an ad!

Best Thai English app. I’ve been using this app for 3+ years and have finally decided to write a review. I move back and forth between the US and TL and this app is 100% the best language app. It’s definitely slightly more useful if you speak a bit of both languages, since it gives all the different possible translations but IMHO this leads to better communication since other apps like google just directly translate in the most obvious way. It also provides audio for the words, and has a memory of your saved words (if you find yourself searching similar things frequently).

It is my best Dict ever. I am a Thai student as English as a second Language at Manhattan NY USA and I also bought this app for full version, offline then use this DICT every single days. A positive aspect of this amazing Dict is... First, straightforward and include simple sentences onto correcting gramma. Second, it has third the pronounce, US, UK, AUS to blow your mind how to pronounce like native. So don’t talk too much let try by your own then you guys would be get an experience with it.

A necessity!!!. By far the best dictionary app I have used, especially for Thai. It’s very difficult to find an app with an efficient interface and easy navigation. The highlighting function is absolutely essential in breaking down composite nouns and the like!!! I can trace nearly every word down by its syllable clusters, which is, again, absolutely amazing with a language like Thai. I am constantly opening the second pull-up/secondary search window and performing cross-searches to add more depth to my understanding of every word I learn. Fantastic work! Thank you for this app.

Great Thai-English Dictionary!. I used to use several Thai-Eng dictionary apps but I have finally stuck with only this one for several years. It is easy to search back and forth Thai to English and English to Thai. This app also aggregates data from several dictionary databases which is convenient to look up alternative meanings from other sources. However, I deduct 1 star from my rating for annoying ads that pop up so often when I am about to type the vocabulary down. Sometimes, I have to wait for 5 seconds in order to close the ads and continue typing. I know that is how you still manage to make this app free for us so I do not want to complain much. It just would be nice if it comes in a less annoying way.

Excellent app. I've been using this app for several years now and it has become a mainstay in my Thai learning. A very important feature is the fact that you can look up your "history" of words and rank them according to count (I.e. The number of times you looked that word up). It's incredibly useful because every month or so I just look up the top words and add them to my Anki (or just normal flash cards). I wish there was a way to directly export the dictionary entries to Anki, but I wouldn't subtract a star for that because it may not be possible technically. Overall I'd say the app is great and the latest version has better UI for sure.

This is kind of scam. I paid for this program about 20$ with ads removed. When it updated the program, it came with ads and asked for another 15$ for removing ads. So I don’t recommend this program.

Best Thai dic for iOS. Simple clean interface. Has been able to find every word I put in. It provides example sentences in thai. As an added bonus it has audio samples in Thai! I don't use my other Thai dictionary apps anymore.

Excellent Dictionary. For most words this dictionary is great. However some words have photos which are a bit annoying at the top. If they were moved to the bottom or at least under the first results it would have a nicer flow.

Best dictionary for Thai RM. Lived in Thailand for 2 years as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This is the most comprehensive and accurate dictionary for the iPhone out there! Far better than google translate. A must have!

Eat too much cpu in background. Don't know why recent update make program consume almost all cpu power in background. When use this program, it's normal. But when switch to other program, my iPad Air 2 heat too much. When I use other program to see process list, it's this program that eat cpu almost 100% when run in background. Make my ipad hot and consume battery. I use iOS 8.12 though FYI

Fine. UI is a bit unfriendly, but dict features are exactly what I wanted and couldnt find in others.

Confused. I think I like this ap, though the UI seems somewhat unwieldy. But I'm confused -- is there no audio for Thai? I can only get audio in English, which doesn't really help me. Am I doing something wrong?

Very nuanced.. The Thai Dict Box offers more and even better definitions and synonyms than a paper dictionary, and definitely more effective than a search engine translator. I love the word reminders that feed me vocabulary after I look them up.

Solid ap. A solid ap., dictionary seems accurate and pretty complete. The picture dictionary portion kind of boggles my mind. I don't see much relationship between the words and the pictures. But other than that I have no complaints.

Not useful. The other reviews of this app are dubious. I find this app is way too complex. It doesn't help me when I need a quick translation. I look up a word in English and want to hear the Thai, but the app says the word back to me in English. Also, it gives so many translations that it's like reading Wikipedia. Not useful.
