Excited. Just got the app and so far it’s all looked good, excited to see and learn some new things on this app. Doesn’t seem to be as crowded on the screen as Star Walk(still a great app). So I’m ready to see what there is

Easiest to use. My kids and I adore this app. In the last five years, I have downloaded four or five apps that I hoped would let me point my phone in the sky and the app would tell me what I’m seeing. In my experience, “Sky Tonight” is the easiest. After 30 seconds, or so, it works perfectly. The image on the screen tracks how I move the phone. I haven’t had as much luck with others.

Meteor shower. This app and site are fantastic, I did not realize that I could send a text from this site to my Lady so she also can look for the meteors tonight. Believe me when I say that this is very user friendly if there were going to be problems setting this up I would have had them because I am not to savvy about this stuff but to my surprise I got through it the first time and it was very easy...Dan

My favorite app about space. This app is my favorite because it tells you where planets are. It also tells you where stars and constellations too! Another thing is that you can see where everything is at all times.

So robust it makes my head spin!. Hands down the best stargazing app I’ve found! The history, calendar, options and overall function is amazing! Not to mention even the free version is downright a plethora of information. By the time I learn the basics for free I’ll be an amateur astrologer.

Mixed review. When I first downloaded the app I immediately got the free trial to see if it was worth it, loved it & worked perfect at first, then I paid 8.99 for a limited offer the app has instead of 1.00 usd a month. Stopped working as soon as I paid. Won’t let me track any stars in my location,only lets me check out info about each star and I have to manually look it up with the name of the star. I really hope they fix it,I loved this app!

Best app for learning about space. The best app for learning about God’s handiwork, where the stars, planets and more can be found. Especially enjoy the red light to preserve night vision while using the telescope. Helps in aligning the telescope with greater accuracy.

I’m new. I have always loved all “things happening” in the night sky but was never clear on just exactly what I was seeing. I’m thrilled with my new app and the possibilities awaiting!! We are never too o,d to learn!

Love the app. Definitely 5 stars (no pun intended lol).....only thing I would add at this time is a "search option". I was wanting to see the June event explosion on the moon but cannot simply do a search...other than that I Love it, thank you

My daily go-to app to plan my stargazing, with one annoyance. I use the Visible Tonight feature daily to know when there is good seeing coming to my area. Great feature! That said, I find the sorting / filtering on the list of celestial objects visible to be annoying. I want to see what will be visible when I’m planning to view. I can’t find any way to sort by the time when objects become visible, meaning PM and AM hours are mixed. I would think “Date” would do what I want, but today’s PM and tomorrow’s AM are mixed in a way which makes no sense to me. Can you please provide an option to either sort by time visible, or to filter based on planned viewing time?

Detailed and Thorough. this app is really amazing. the level of detail in each heavenly body is incredible! they have orbit trajectories, peaks in the horizon as a function of time, data about the stars and planets, size, distance, visual magnitude. It’s frankly overwhelming how detailed and well made this app is. On top of that, the augmented reality is extremely accurate and responsive and the constellations are artistic renditions that are fun and interesting while still allowing you to see the star formation and lines behind the art piece. just an incredible app overall and i recommend everyone download and just have fun with it for a few hours.

Great app… but. It would be great if I could use this app to see all of the visible satellites in the night sky. A magnitude filter would be nice too. You can do that now by going back and forth between search and the sky view but it is annoying. The AR is great and the database is huge.

Oh my. It is very hard to figure out. And when you pointed to the sky, you’re not sure whether you’re seeing what you’re supposed to see or not. Because when you pointed to the floor, you still see some type of store arrangements. I’m so sure this thing is even working.

Very fun. This app you can see all of the telescopes an all the planets. You can even see the shooting stars on the app, I’ve always loved space so my dad told me to get this app. Thank you for making this very awesome app.

One suggestion. Overall, the app is fantastic and I’ve enjoyed using it a lot. However, I have a small request. It would be great if users could have the option to select the music or add some of their own. I particularly enjoyed the music that was in January 2023.

WOW!!. Man this app, so far is GREAT! And the subscription price is insanely cheap to boot! Been looking for one I liked for while now that I didn’t need a degree just to understand how to use it, etc, & at a price id be cost okay with. Also, I was actually wow’d by how I ended coming across this app, which was after got I read what info the app I was using had I saw something where could find out more about it. Link went right to it and a few sentences in, I literally stopped to see what app it was on, didn’t recognize it, so checked that it wasn’t already in by ‘queue’ of apps I download, rather than reading about, cuz besides how exhausting that gets, as I’m sure many of you can relate to by now IF you’re still reading my review, haha, anyway this app rocks. Plus couldn’t believe how cheap it is and just keep liking it more ‘n more. Anyway, I think this app is great! Thank you!

First. It’s my first time using this app, and it seems very great and informative. I’m just facing couple of issues which I’m not sure if they are common or I am making a mistake: 1- The app acts well with my location and camera projection. However, time and date are not set automatically, I must go to the upper panel and update them. 2- There are some visible satellites, that the app wouldn’t define.

If you want to find out what you see in the sky this is your app. If you want to see some thing in the sky you heard about online, this is your app. If you want reliable notifications for things you might want to see in the sky, this is your app. If you want your kids to love astronomy, this is your app. It is an amazing way to learn about God’s beautiful creation!

AWSOME so far. Actually just got the new app 😁 I didn’t things could get better than the star walk 2 App. But I’m sure it will be evan better! Love all the apps !! So enjoy full !! This is Amazing. I absolutely love the e realistic planets and the Milky Way that are shown here. This has been the absolute best app ever for astronomy. I would highly recommend it for anyone who is interested in seeing the stars and planets and even deep sky objects.

The Most Amazing App Ever Developed. I have always been an Astronomy freak, never had the opportunity to develop my knowledge of Astronomy, until now!! Almost right. Good app that’s been ruined by lengthy apps that you can’t skip and at times redirects you to the App Store. Nothing ruins a app more then this fatal flaw. I understand apps have to have ads but making someone sit through a minute long app and then funneling them to the App Store without a reason is just criminal in my perfect society.

Pretty sweet.. Very nice touch to an evolving app but curious why I need to keep buying a new app instead of updating these features within star walk 1 and 2. A few suggestions- I wish the stargazing index would reference and show how it is being calculated, do you use CSC data? I would also love to see nebula or other DSO listed on the visible tonight list (as the settings ask for magnitude range I would love to see darker objects added). Add a setting to increase panning speed while searching, it’s too laggy. Don’t let these suggestions take away from the utility of this app. It’s been great, love the trajectory of selected objects with hourly tick marks! Makes it easy when I should go outside. Thanks!

Sky Tonight. Sky Tonight is one of the best and most immersive Astronomy apps out there. I would certainly give the app 5 stars. It is fun to use, educational, and very accurate. Any time I want to locate a constellation in the heavens I turn to Sky Tonight. This app is the pinnacle of what I have found in night sky apps! Thank you for developing it!

The best. I’ve used a ton of different star gazing apps, but they are all expensive and don’t have nearly as much features as this app. The UI is amazing, as are the features. The ability to say that you only want to see objects that are visible to the naked eye is amazing. Also being able to get into on showers occurring in the future is exactly what I wanted. I love this app.

Very rare is the app that makes you feel like a kid again!. When you’re as old and jaded as me, most apps are strictly utilitarian. They serve a purpose, maybe make something easier, but that’s about it. THIS thing takes me back to my childhood- freezing outside while searching endlessly with my “Sears Best” telescope. I understand the technology behind the app AND the hardware, but I’ll be damned if it doesn’t still impress me every time I start this app, point it at the sky, and satisfy some random curiosity. It isn’t magic, but it still kinda ‘feels’ like it is!

Warning: You will get hooked!. I had a different stargazing app for a while because it’s something my son and I like to do but it wasn’t holding up. I download this app and my son, who normally hates mornings, will get up at 5:30 AM to sit on the balcony to see what we can find. We are obsessed with all of the features!

This is the best sky app out. I’ve downloaded like 20 sky apps and deleted them. This one is in another category altogether. So many gadgets, I discover gateways to new features every time I use it. GPS sky map, star dim, astrological alignments, moon stats, constellations, asteroids, definitions, too much to name. Definitely a stellar app 😁🤩🌚✨💫

THIS APP IS THE BEST!!!. I have several apps to explain what I am looking at but this app goes way beyond the others! It tells you what you are looking at automatically facing the direction that you are at the correct time & date. If it is light out it asks to access your camera & you can photograph what you see with labels of items!! Information is available for each item in the sky! It sends you alerts for what you won’t want to miss. There’s no app (even their others) that are so informative. I can’t say enough positive about it, and highly recommend!!!

Awesome App. Stellar app! 😉✨🌌 It’s so cool how it allows you to see the constellations in your own night sky. My brother and I were wondering what a bright orange “star” was in the sky, and we found out that it was Mars from the app. But indeed it has much more than star and planet identification. The app gives so much information (and random fun trivia) about everything you see in the night sky. Just click on Mars and the app tells you innumerable tidbits about its whereabouts, orbit, planetary information, etc. Then, you can scroll in, and suddenly Mars’ moon will come into sight, and you can find tons of information on that too. Truly a brilliant app. P.S. I forgot about the constellation info that’s super interesting, and also the app gives you a night sky calendar, which includes everything from the lunar schedule to when you have the best odds of seeing meteors ☄️from your own backyard.

I recommend it but I have some wishes. This app is good and all and close to one of the sky tonight. I do wish I could do maybe more things like a trivia. Like you could guess the constellations and planet's. But even tho I don’t have a lot to say but this is really all ok guys have fun

User ease of use. I’ve had this for a while and I’ve lately been using it a lot. And still can’t figure the menu-tools. I ran network and ran several graphics programs with different uses and tools on each and that was easier than yours. An update should address this. Sorry about this poor review. Jack

Seems like a good App…however. I like the work you’ve done with app. After reading all the app information, the one that convinced me was the listed a “Lifetime Access Sale for $4.99”. After I downloaded the app the first thing I did was to find the “sale” and subscribe. I was disappointed that it could not be found. The only thing I found was a “Lifetime access for $8.99”. If there is a “$4.99 Lifetime Access Sale”, would you please advise me on how I may accomplish that purchase? Thank You

Incredibly convenient. Having this to use, when looking for stars, identifying them, and learning about them. It is a fantastic source to learn all of this and more in one app. Very happy I have this app. :-)

First timer. I’m 70 years old. This is my first time seeing anything like this. I truly am intrigued and in awe. I can’t afford much in life and I’m thrilled to be able to use this app for free. Tonight I’m looking at the moon on a clear night sky and just found out that the star next to it isn’t a star that it’s a planet. ….Jupiter thanks!

Sky Tonight. So far I have shared this over three hundred times , everyone seems to use this . Everyone likes it enough to recommend it to their friends and family .

Highly recommended. Also needs a sort option.. This app is great and includes recent articles on astronomy and related topics. I read it every day! The only flaw I could find is that the articles aren’t sorted by date, which is a pain if you read it every day and just want to see the most recent items. And, there’s no manual “sort by date” option. It seems like it would be a fairly simple fix. Is that something the developers might consider doing?

Astrological purposes. An app like this makes me admire technology even more. It’ll show you the astronomical events taking place or that are going to take place and as someone who studies astrology I would like to know where the celestial bodies are located. Enjoy todays annual solar eclipse! ✌🏻

Sky Tonight. Sky tonight is a very unique app that lets you look at the stars and planets that make up the constellations. It’s simple and very informative and the best of the best parts not only being able to see the stars with your phone or tablet is the music!!!!!!!!!

I’ve learned so much already!. I’ve always been fascinated by the stars and I pull a lot of my power from them, but to learn about the night sky in such depth and in such a beautiful way is so appreciated! I love knowing exactly where I’m at in reference to the constellations and the music makes for a calming experience. I just moved to a new apartment and was sad about losing my old view, but my new view is the perfect stargazing opportunity (as far as living in a city goes) and my night isn’t complete without sitting by my window and learning through this app! It’s a great app don’t get me wrong. I love the app, but I had it last year and one of the updates took away my favorite feature. It took away the screen moving with your phone so you know what you are looking at. Maybe it’s just my phone doing this but It was my favorite feature that helped me set up my telescope in the right place

Buy now. I love stars when I was five I ate a whole star because I was so hungry and then my mom said don’t do that Ethan and I was like momnimnrunning away okay and then I took all my stuff and I followed the stars I was like five then so I like couldn’t actually go anywhere until I hopped on a train at this point in my life star apps weren’t a thing so anyways I met a bear who took off my leg but as I was bleeding out I saw the Big Dipper and that made it okay so I’m recommending this app because it saved my life

Too many ads. The app isn't bad but I deleted it after being bombarded with ads. I was willing to buy the lifetime version that is advertised on the App Store listing but that was not available in the app. I wrote the devs and apparently it is only randomly available. This seems like a stupid game that I really don't have time for. I will never buy an app that is subscription based. Good bye.

BEST APP EVER. I love it and it’s really fun and I love looking at the sky with it. The other star walk apps are great too. But here are some improvements I think this could have. 1. Not as many notifications because I am getting dumped with them 2. Maybe easier to calibrate the camera because on the sky walk app all I had to do was hold it to the light 3. Mabye add some labels on the percents on the moon calendar because I keep think that’s the chance of it being that phase not how full it is. Thank you for your time developers

Great app. Love that there is an option to see it through your camera so you can pinpoint bright stars and planets without a telescope. I use this app every night and haven’t paid anything. Upgrading has amazing options but I just rather use only the feee options on apps since information that’s free is a great learning and starting point.

Money………. This is an app literally pay to see. If you look at other apps, they give the apps for free, educational purposes. This obstructs the people that want to learn about space. Shame on the people who made this app

Half the world gets ignored or a brief mention. I check the stories too see a lunar eclipse or some other advertised event only to find it’s a northern hemisphere only thing ! All the stories & descriptions are northern hemisphere biased. Where are the special celestial events for the South? How about some Southern Hemisphere writers for the other half the worlds observations

Not updating. Pointed the app at the almost full moon and it didn’t show … it was still suggesting the sun was still up and hour after sun set …

Who needs a TV. Love this app makes the sky at night so easy to explore. Can’t wait to get away from the city lights to see more of what is up there.

How the hell do I rotate the screen in landscape mode.. All other geo spatial aware apps rotate screen to landscape automatically. This app only shows in portrait mode. Shame on developers scamming for a premium version of star walk 2 and giving a cheap quality app ?

Out of This World.. Downloaded recently and am still getting used to the settings , can’t find my Northward location to be able to point skyward and find what it is that I’m pointing at . Has a lot of great features to learn about and I’m sure anyone interested in the solar system would be amazed by this app. 🔭

No Landscape mode. Not having a landscape mode makes this useless for me.

A great companion to star walk!. I’ve been a longtime user of Star Walk and I just love the focus on the calendar of object of sky tonight! I just have one question: what do the red dots represent in the calendar? Sometimes there’s one, two, three or none?

Long time astrophotographer loves it. Perfect for planning sessions, knowing the sky, and staying current with astronomy events. The ads get annoying but 9 bucks for a lifetime ownership solves that, money well spent!

Highly Informative. As a longtime backyard astronomer I found this application intuitive and a great reference. I am never disappointed, even the music on cloudy nights is calming.

Very handy app.. My MIL grew up in cities. Could not remember ever having seen a planet. Used this app to show her Venus and Mars. Looking forward to Jupiter and maybe Saturn. Seems almost magical to her.

Best outdoor game ever!. So I was watching the news and it said that I will see planets outside, at night they didn’t know what planets were there but I got this app and I went outside at night pointed it up at the sky and i saw Mars, Mercury, and Jupiter.

The app works, but constantly push notifications. I was forced to delete the app because it constantly pushes notifications that cannot be disabled. Otherwise it’s a pretty decent app. I’d love to keep it but simply can’t abide by an app not allowing me to stop constant alerts.

Clear skies. Living in southeast Arizona at about 4,000 feet I love staring at the sky at night and now I can find out what’s up there. Dream about going to the planets all the time.

Calibration is not consistent. Great star map and it shows comet Lenard. I wish there were some more detailed directions on how to use- took a while to get the compass calibration correct. Still, great app

What changed? And why?. This was my favorite app. I loved being able to see the stars. Now it won’t move with my phone. Totally ruined the app. I have to see through my camera now? This is not a good update. Please change it back.

Great tool, but……. This is a great tool for any beginner or experienced astronomer who loves to observe the night sky, however there are a few nebulae that are missing such as the red square nebula, the bow tie (boomerang) nebula etc. this is worthwhile getting

Simply amazing. I really love this app. I just took up another retirement hobby by purchasing a telescope. This app will let me know what celestial bodies are going to visible in the sky over northern Colorado.

Great app. A great app. I have used seemingly ~95% of all serious astronomy/sky apps offered. I still use Sky Tonight where many are dormant or deleted. Well worth a serious look.

Star errors. In the information, I saw that two stars are in the wrong constellations. Canopus is supposed to be in Carina, and Suhail al Muhlif is supposed to be in Vela. So can you please change Canopus’ constellation to Carina, and Suhail al Muhlif’s to Vela please?

Fun & Interesting!. For years, I have enjoyed watching with Sky Tonight. It tells me local times when events will occur and helps me locate planets, constellations, meteors showers, satellites, Milky Way and so much more!

Purchase. If you purchase will it remove adds? How do you purchase the app? You have pricing, but no way to pay for it.

Mine boggling power. Incredible application. Point it at the sky and it shows you all the constellations. Tap on it it’ll tell you the star. The application is mine, boggling in its power, a true gift to humanity from its creator.
