A Favorite App!. Buy me a Pie is one of the most used apps on my phone. I have been using it almost since the beginning! It makes shopping so much easier and faster. I can also export my lists it to my spouse! I use it for groceries, Christmas and birthday shopping, chore lists, and any other list I need. My favorite part is that once you make a list, it is easy to create it over and over again, just by touching the item you crossed off previously. Easy to use and very helpful.

They screwed up a great app. I would give this app a 5, but they removed one of the most important features, the ability to duplicate lists. Before, I would duplicate my list of staples. Check whether we needed more, then add any additional items and head to the store. The next week I would still have a clean staples list to start from. Without duplicate. I have to remember and undelete specific items. Much less user friendly. Please bring back the old version with duplicate lists.

Buy me a pie. There may be other grocery apps but this one is great. I have been using for years. It’s easy to use why would anyone need one more complicated. Perfect. Please don’t change it to make it better, usually the changes are not better when supposedly new improved is not better. A grocery list does not have to be difficult. This one even puts item in order. I love it!!!!!

(Updated: FIXED) Latest update broke the iPad version. Update: After waiting several days, I tried again and the app now works on iPad. I had to log off and log back on, and my lists finally appeared within a few minutes. The latest upgrade broke the iPad version. The app freezes almost immediately and appears it’s not actually letting me logon. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling it multiple times. The new version on my IPhone forced me to logon again, but it retrieved my lists and worked ok once I did that. It lost some of my customization (e.g. showing my lists in a certain order) but I haven’t found any other problems with the new iPhone version.

Not everything needs to be a subscription. Especially a grocery list app. I’m super disappointed that after years of using this app and having a color coded labeling system to help me get through my shopping more efficiently, they’ve decided to make all but 7 colors available to anyone who is not a “premium” user paying $30 a year. Super unnecessary and frustrating that this has gotten rid of half of the color categories I’ve gotten used to. I’d rather the app cost money upfront to download and then leave it at that. Not everything needs to be a subscription, especially an app that at the end of the day makes GROCERY LISTS.

Great App for more than just groceries!. I use this app for my groceries, of course! But also lists for birthday ideas or Christmas gift ideas. I have the Pro version and love it! My only complaint is I wish the App would let you organize the items in your lists. For example: If I wanted to organize my daughters Christmas list by price, I could reorder them by holding an item down and dragging it to the order I want. I hope that made sense and hope your programmers make this change! Otherwise, amazing app!

Was great until it wasn’t. My husband and I have been using this app for a few years. It was working great as far as syncing the list between both my device and my husband’s so we always had an up to date list. Then suddenly for the past few months it has stopped syncing to where it would selectively not add certain items or not sync the entire list all together. I’m bummed because this app was working great but will now be looking for another app that syncs the lists accordingly. It’s been frustrating going to the store every week and always “forgetting” something because the list didn’t update when my husband added items!

Suddenly crashing every time I open it. Normally I love this app. I like how it organizes things by section. You can create your own color coding and items. Normally it’s easy to add items and check them off. But today, on both my phone and my partner’s, it has suddenly started crashing every time we open it. It stays open for a couple seconds, and then no matter what you’re doing, it just shuts down. If you try to add anything to a list, it won’t add and will shut down in the middle of typing. I can’t find any info on their website or social media, and our apps and phones are up to date. I have an iPhone 8 Plus and my partner has an iPhone 7. I have a pro subscription and my partner does not.

Perfect for the Family. Among a huge number of apps for organizing tasks and lists, this app truly stands above. I had tried several others, but this one is so simple and so efficient for our family. The teenager’s cell phone, the family iPad at home, and of course mom and dad‘s iPhone all have this app installed. Whenever someone opens the last can/box/container of whatever food or household item, they quickly open this app and start typing the item. After a few letters it quickly keys in from previous items that we had bought to add to the shopping list. Over a very short time we have color-coded to our preference, categories of items that we typically shop for, so that someone who is not the “typical shopper“ has an easier time grabbing things aisle-by-aisle as they are then grouped together by this app (Green is the vegetable aisle, etc...). When you don’t live very close to the grocery store and have a family with multiple shopping needs, this app has saved us time, money, and frustration running back to the store over and over again. Really awesome and highly recommended! We are grateful!

You've been talking about this for over 4 years. - I’d like to rearrange lists (besides pinning one to the top) - dark mode *option* is long overdue Still giving 🌟🌟🌟 because it's better than anything else I’ve seen But please get to work and do not abandon ongoing development. You are definitely making enough money now, right? This app is a gold mine for you. I bought it back when it was quite cheap compared to your new subscription price. Now people are paying you tons of money for an almost-static product. Improve it! 😡There are improvements in the form of *user options* to make. Options are good.I paid quite a bit for it because I thought the devs were going to continue to creatively improve it, but the app seems to be standing still. It would be wonderful to see a very good app get great. Get creative, look at you feature request queue, and get to work‼️

Like the App but Would Like More Editing Options. Since I downloaded this app about 6 weeks ago, I have used this app many times. I found it very user friendly. My only issue is that the only editing options are to change categories or delete the item. It would be helpful to be able to also change the text in each item. For instance, suppose I need a certain number of a food item one week and a different number of the same item the next week. Right now, I have to enter a new item in the list instead of simply changing the number I need. Also, sometimes items we use are on sale at a certain store. I like to note that in the list. Right now, I have to enter a new item in the list instead of simply adding the info about the sale. Making this change would make a great app even better.

So much and so easy to use!. They give you a lot for free, and there’s so much to mention. Multiple users can use the same three lists, and your lists will be updated almost instantaneously. I want some in this change, while I was in the grocery store. It is insured that I was able to get what was just added. It was so cool. You can colorcode your items so that they are in categories, which makes it easier to have them in a specific order. I color-coded things in the order that they are in the stores that I shop. I also use these lists for when I need to pack for a trip. I often find recipes online and I can put them into a comma or semi-colon delimited list to add them all at once, with their amounts. It’s fantastic. I love that I can enter items on a PC, on my phone, or on any other device. I use this instead of other grocery list apps, because I can maintain my own dictionary, which helps me to name things the way I want to name them. This is an awesome app.

Useful but can improve. I use to use other list apps. I changed to this one because I can use it on my Apple Watch. However, I can’t add items by my watch using Siri. That would definitely be useful because I use my watch on the go when I can’t fiddle with my iPhone. The only other point that I wish for is being able to add item prices. Another app that I use for bigger shopping trips remembers the price that I entered the last time I bought the item. If this point is added, I will only use this one and definitely upgrade to pro.

Finally one that works!. Like many I have tried several shopping apps from ones with all the bells and whistles to the very simple. There was always some issue regarding function, syncing, cost, on and on. This app is not fancy, has nothing within its operation or form not required to do what a shopping list app needs to do or have and it’s extremely simple to use. This app operates perfectly every time and syncs instantly when I use it. I don’t know what their secret is but they need to pass it on to all the other app makers. You know the old KISS approach. (Keep It Simple Stupid for you youngsters!)

Once great ... really clunky redesign. Buy Me a Pie are used to have a nice list maximizing design, an easy swipe left and right between numerous lists and a intuitive add or subtract items to & from a list interface. Now you have to clunkily use a menu system to change lists which constantly wastes time and finger strokes and adding items to your list is now a terrible confusing process… Where before u just added an item, hit enter and bingo it was in your list visually item by item. Now you add an item and enter but it doesn't go onto your list until you also press save. WHY do we need a SAVE button? And they've wasted a line and a half of usable list space at the top of their list with their new top of the list design All in all, it's become so clunky where before it was so sleek, efficient and to the point utilitarian and $49...?? Who are they kidding? Their original product wasn't even worth that new way hefty purchase or it’s similarly hefty yearly rental price and this retrograde product certainly not. Hate to see how products decline with routine staff payroll justifying unnecessary re-designs. Unfortunately, IMO Buy me a Pie has fallen into that trap. Once great, now mediocre and way over priced db

Convenient grocery list. This was a nice app till they started tweaking it. They added a useless splash screen and a feature that deletes crossed-out items—which I keep invoking accidentally and do NOT appreciate. Worst of all, it apparently can no longer communicate between my Apple Watch series 2 and my iPhone 7+. They claim to have fixed this, but, as of today, although my devices are up to date, the problem persists. If they don’t fix it within the next few weeks, I will find another grocery list app.

Love this App!!. The longer you use it, the better it gets. As I add new foods and categorize them, it builds a wonderful library which makes it even easier the next time. By setting up the food categories in the order I move through the store, my list is automatically in order and makes it so quick to get everything I need. Anyone from our family can add to the list in real time and when I get to the store I always have the most up to date info. I love never forgetting my list at home anymore!! The app is so easy to use and I’m so glad we found it.

Adds. Just purchased(1month to try), playing around to get familiar and we keep getting adds popping up at bottom. And don’t press anything anywhere near these adds as u will get sent of to the wilds in add land land/or get yet another request for money. The ONLY reason I paid was to avoid the adds. Thinking this will be 1 month and done. To be clear this isn’t a rating on the apps functionality but on getting adds/pop ups after paying not to get them

Great app! One issue with latest version. I love this app. I can keep multiple lists. Text them to my hubby so he can shop. I can also use with my Apple Watch which was why I got it. So much easier to review and check off items from my wrist while shopping! Only complaint in the latest update. The new swipe up feature that deletes your history. This just really made me angry because I’m scrolling thru my historical items and I’m not sure when I’m reaching the end so I’ve deleted my history in two of my lists on accident!! So much easier to compile a grocery list with my historically/frequently bought items and now I can’t. I’m so sad. But not a deal breaker I guess.

Grocery List is Not Improved. I have used Organizy for wuite some time with many important list of things in my life other than groceries. With the new iOS 14.5 update I was unable to uodate Organizy as it instructed me to do each time I tried to open the app. My husband did research on the developer & told me it had not been updated in 6 years after having been regularly updated every month or two for several years. So 6 days after my iOS update I deleted Organizy and lost all my lists of information. I went to the AppStore again to buy another grocery list & with curiosity opened Organizy again to find it was now $30/yr & the grocery list is terrible so luckily they give you a month to try it. On to the next app, I say

Use every day and have for years.. As the title states: I have used this app every day for years. The whole family stays in touch on what we need from the store, what we need to get done on the house, our camping lists, road trip needs, etc. It's all right there for any of us to see/edit; and it continues to be upgraded/improved. I leave off the fifth star only because I know it will get better even than it currently is. Thank you for making something so useful and continuing to improve it! 👍

Latest bug “fix” ruined my account—bugs me. The first free version I had was so good. The “upgrade” limited my 5 free lists to three. I got used to the new one and being able to access items that were in the crossed out section for my next shopping trip to the same store was quick & easy. Suddenly today I open the app and I have to sign in which I haven’t had to do ever. Then it pulled up some ancient version of the account from years ago. There are only 2 lists available now and they are both from years ago. So my new working lists are gone. Sometimes when I log in it says I’ve got pro which I never want. My life isn’t that complicated. And there’s no way to address these issues. I can’t restore what I had. Not fond of the upgrades that give you less—kinda forcing a buy in. It’s a shame.

Timesaver!. We have used the BuyMeAPie! App for a couple of years now and it helps us save money and time. We don’t end up duplicating purchases because we always check the list when we shop separately, and it syncs between devices instantly. I like the color coding feature to group items together. It also works with Siri so I can actually add stuff while I’m driving. My hope is that in the future I’ll be able to move items between lists. This was a feature in an old app I used and it was handy. If an item was not available at one store, I could just add it to the Target or Walmart list to pick it up on my next trip. Otherwise, it’s a really handy and easy to use app. 1

Good list maker but missing a basic control. Very good grocery list making tool. However there’s no way to manually organize the items in a list. The developer suggests using the color coding but that doesn’t help in my situation very much. I shop in a huge food market that had dozens of subcategories. I would need a huge set of colors...and have to remember an elaborate color system. To shop efficiently, I have been using Google list BUT you cannot print those lists. I do miss having a way to sort list items manually to fit my shopping plan.

New version September 2017. I love this app. It is SO useful. With your new version, HOWEVER, swiping right to cross out an item took awhile to get the right touch. I recently “lost” the icon and to recover it, mistakenly doubled my subscription. I emailed to check what happened and the response was fast and useful in correcting the duplicate subscription. So not only is the app useful and versatile, the managers were very responsive to my request for help. I have the lifetime subscription - it’s wonderful. No problems in 3-4 years of use.

Old version so much better!. I wouldn’t recommend this new version and was forced to down load a whole new app of this and would not even allow me to check my old app to see what groceries to buy. Yet the new app said it sync’s but it sure didn’t sync my old app! Also it doesn’t allow you to slide and delete anymore. I use to be able to slide my finger across the word listed to just press delete and no long does that anymore. It just draws a line through it now and lowers the name to the button.

Still great but.... Open-ended list app can be as simple or detailed as you’d like. Categories and color coding for groceries and much more. But! the “Pin to Top” feature is really not cutting it for me, and I’ve been using this app for years. I need to be able to easily reorder the lists I’ve created in descending order of priority. And my priorities can change from day to day. Pinning and unpinning creates a puzzle that makes it more of a bother because I need to pin in a certain order to get them to display in the reverse order that I’d like. Sound complicated? It is. And unnecessarily so. I’d really like this to get fixed.

Pleasureable. I use this app while shopping. It comes in great use to just tap to cross off your shopping. When I remember to add stuff to the list that I need at home. I love being able to type it in. It also stores a list of items you have gotten before. Which makes it really easy to add to your list just by tapping the crossed out item. All in all... Great app to use! I use it personally and for my business! I always have a shopping list ready and waiting on my phone! Thankyou!

New updates keep messing up my subscription. I have always used shopping lists. Paper lists gave way to lists on my phone, which I liked but it was a bit annoying to have to put my phone down to bag produce, etc, then pull the list back up. Then the pandemic came and not only did I have to put the phone down, I then had to re-input my passcode because it didn’t recognize my face in a mask. I was ready to go back to paper! Then I found this app. It syncs to my watch so I don’t need to carry a list in my hand. I can add items to whatever device I happen to be using and they appear on the watch automatically. I sort items by colors according to where in the store I will find them. I can keep several lists at once. This is a great app! Edit: I have loved this list until all of a sudden it stopped syncing! I really need for it to sync! Help? EDIT: For the last 2 months the app has told me that I have not paid for my Pro subscription, which comes out of my Apple account automatically. The first time I thought OK, the update made changes. The support folks asked for proof of payment, which I sent. A few days later my subscription to Pro reappeared and all was well. This month the same thing happened - the app said my subscription expired, I let the developers know and they want proof of payment. I’m not going to do it. Cancelled my subscription and found another app.

Gone shopping and forgot something?. I have a magnetic writer board on my fridge, when we are running out of something we put it on the writer board. Then when I’m going shopping I transfer everything on the board to this app. While shopping I buy what we put on this app. No more forgetting something we needed. It has save me a lot of trips to the grocery store or to Costco for things I forgot to buy It’s a great app

Descent Listing App. Most would say it’s an app that you list things on so nothing to write home about, Wrong! I gave it the one brow raise for Nice! Lists have come a long ways since back in the day. Is actually easier then it looks at first once you tinker with it few times. Really becomes very fluid and yes surprisingly handy. I find little short cuts etc. often. I’m a Dad with a family of four that needed to fill in when my wife became ill. So for me to leave post on of all things a grocery app should tell you it works well. My favorite function is the text to add feature allowing all my daughters to add things to the list as they see them and repost once added. HeeHee, Dad one daughters none, so I thought. Ha! I gave it a five star because yep it was the free version with ton of features. No complaints, Dad approved 😎👍🏻

Very reliable!!. I love this app!!! I think the one of the best features is color coding the items. I am able to navigate my usual route through the store and get everything on my list. My last grocery list app, I was constantly doubling back because I missed something. I like that I can share my list with others, it really helps when somebody is out running errands and surprises me with something off of the list! Also recalling specialty items that I have put on my list from previous trips has been compiling my list throughout the week especially quick and easy. I haven't experienced any technical issues with this app, so I have to say very reliable as well.

Best app. I really like this app it is very easy to use. It allows me to make separate lists for the grocery store, Walmart, home improvement stores, etc. it is very easy to make your shopping list by going back thru all items you have bought over time and just touch them and they are back on the current list, you can assign each item a color like frozen food one color, dry goods another color and so on, so when added back to your new list it is organized by color and in alphabetical order It save me lots of time and money as now i only go to the grocery store once every week or so and you don’t forget anything and i never run out because i control my inventory, you also can share the list with with others in your family so anything any one needs goes on the list. 🤙

So much better than pen + paper lists!. Love this app - hubby and I are able to update all our lists for all the stores we go to on the go so when one of us is at a certain store we know what we need! My favorite feature that many other list apps lack is that when an item is crossed off the list, it moves down below the lists so you can pull from your previous items to jog your memory next time you’re at a store. So useful, and better than having to call home and say, “So, what was on that list again?” 😊

Works with iwatch. I have used this app for months and it was not my favorite until I started using it with my iwatch. I LOVE that I can wander the store and check my list off on my watch without having to pull out my phone. I also LOVE that I can share the list with my spouse and it updates quickly in real time if you have the app permissioned to use cellular data. I do like that I can assign each item a color based on where in the store that item is usually located but it is tough sometimes to make sure everything is grouped correctly. I wish that the app had the ability to add pricing and a shopping total. My only criticism is that using this app is not as straightforward or “easy” as others I have used and the cost is more than any other app of this type that I have been willing to pay for.

Buy Me a Pie. My opinion of this app shrunk to one star, which means it opens and functions. I had the app in my iPhone 6, with seven separate list. When I re-loaded it in the iPhone 12 Pro, I opened the app and began making separate lists. That only lasted for three (grocery, hardware, and one more; then, wan blocked from adding any further listings. Each time I tapped the “+” tab, the screen only lists “begin subscription to “pro,” and locks out any other option. After discussing (one-way) to explain my displeasure at the change, I received no further communication from the developers. So, I shall return to paper and pen. I can make as many lists as needed, without having to sign a ubiquitous contact, beyond the purchase price. Sorry, I expected more.

App is good but missing some things. The app is convenient and I like being able to add things by Siri, but it is missing some features that would make it more usable. First, the list is organized first by color then in alphabetical order. There is no way to re-order so you can arrange it by the order you come to items in your store. Secondly, once you enter an item there is no way to go back and edit it to add a color. These are my two big issues which keep it from being a 5 star app.

Awesome for the whole family. We are a family of three. And big list makers. But the person shopping never had the list at the right store at the right time. This app has made it easy to add things (even while someone is shopping and the other is home) because it dings when something is checked off or added. So, both people know what we have, don't have or want and nothing is duplicated, which keeps double purchases from happening. It saves time, money and headaches! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Good, but new features not working. I’ve always liked this app and love that it syncs between my wife’s and my phones. I’m pretty confused by the numerous versions in the App Store (I count at least 3, and apparently I’ve had the wrong one for a while, at least in terms of getting Siri support). Now that I have the right version, though, I still can’t get Siri to recognize that I want to add items to Buy Me a Pie - it keeps telling me it’s not set up for 2Do (which is its own separate issue). Syntax problems? The Apple Watch complication is also not showing up for me.

Grocery List. Found this app years ago, downloaded it and have been using it for literally years now. It has been my right arm while shopping everywhere. Several days ago I opened the app to find all my lists I had created over the time I hav used it all gone. So far working with your customer support but still haven’t found out what happened. Too many things I used this for I don’t think I will every be able to recreate the lists that I cultivated. Your customer support hasn’t been able to find my account I created either. Don’t know where to go from here!

Simple, useful, intuitive. The free version includes 3 lists and 7 colors for categorizing items. It’s easy to add and remove items, mark items off the list, and search for items to add new or previously completed items to the list. The color categories automatically group together, which helps me shop based on where items are in the store and saves time because I don’t have to backtrack for items lower down the list. I keep one list for groceries and another list for non-food items. Works very well for me. Haven’t tried the list sharing function so no opinion on how well that works.

Love this app!!. I have used Make me a pie for years. It’s so simple. As I think of things I need or while planning meals, I can add items to my list. Then while at the store doing my shopping, I can cross them off, just like a written list. What’s even better all your favorite items stay in the memory of the app so you can easily read them to the list the next time you need that item. It’s so great! I carry my iPad in the store with me instead of having to deal with paper and pen. Try it, you’ll like it!

Featurefull To Its Simplistic Maxims (Busting At Its Seams w/ AWESOMENESS). Maxims - the grey like area of non physical space in which thresholds designed for not being crossed (overdone) are together working nicely enough that you very well may have found the Ruby slipper of an app that's this against formidable competitors also making top notch alternatives of which I have a dedicated multi page folder for - illustrating my decision with this one putting it at u at this point like this: it's my number one go to for general practical purposes basic and simple vintage and modern simply just extra extra useful exactly how it is.

So far love the app!….but. I think it would be nice if the app would allow customers choose a list of suggested name brands or pictures of what the product looks like, without having to describe it. Example, let’s say I send my daughter to the store for me, she doesn’t normally buy the groceries, so she has no clue what to look for to ensure she is selecting the right item. On really love the “share list feature “ my family can add whatever they want to the list, without me having to go around asking “what do want to add this week”

Love it!. I love using Buy Me a Pie!!! Our other users connection doesn’t work anymore but that’s OK because when I put things on the list for them for their birthday or Christmas I don’t want them to see it anyway :-) I do wish, however, when you delete something it would stay in order of deleting it and not in alphabetical order. It used to do it that way, I like that better -if I have to go research something I had on the list, I’d rather look at it that way rather than alphabetically (It takes too long to find what you’re looking for, if at all)

Best for sharing. I’ve used this for many years and love how I can use it with family members to keep our lists updated. It’s really convenient. My only wish to the developers would be the ability to scan items onto my list by the barcodes. Many fitness apps use those barcodes to track my nutrition. Why can’t I simply scan the same barcoades to add those items to my shopping lists?

Need drag & drop re-ordering, please. I’m still searching for the perfect app to manage a grocery list. I need it to sync between my iPhone and iPad, and then display on the Apple Watch, preferably from a complication for quick access. Buy Me a Pie is the closest I’ve come but I need it to allow manual drag and drop re-ordering (like some of the other list apps) so that I can order the groceries to match my flow through the store - it might sound petty or picky, but it’s much easier to spend a couple of minutes on the iPhone after writing the grocery list to get it in order than to scroll up and down the Watch screen while shopping. If you fix this I’ll happily pay for the Pro version, even though I don’t need its other features.

Color blind?. This is a great app but as a color blind person, it has its challenges. Foods are grouped together (eg “meats”) by color. This isn’t a problem if you choose something that is already in the app’s database, but if you add something, picking the right color for a color blind person is hard. The app does try to give you hints by flashing existing items within the tiny color box choices, but it’s just the first few letters which isn’t always helpful. Otherwise it’s a nice, straightforward app and I love that I can check off items on my Apple Watch.

Save me the money!!!. I have to say, such a simple app is priceless to me. For years when going on my grocery runs, I cannot focus on what I need and wander the aisles trying to incorporate ingredients for meals I would like to prepare for the week with the items I need to replenish. I spend way too much time and end up with things I don’t need. I said to myself, make a list dummy. Great, but half the times I leave it in the car or at the house. Until, your app which was recommended to me by a co- worker. Now, as needed, I can add to list at home and always have with me at the store since my phone is always on hand. I save money and time. Thank you, thank you, thank you :>)

LOVE THIS APP. I have had this app going on 5 years I think. It’s been a long time. This particular app is used more than any other on my phone. Love the lists that you can create and use throughout your shopping, especially getting groceries. When I have picked up the item on my list it’s only a swipe to delete it. Everything is color coded so like when shopping in Walmart you can set your list to what area of store your in. Love it!

Lists deleted!. I’ve used this app for years and loved it. Updated it today and all my lists are gone! Can’t login. Can’t reset my password to gain access to support. No answers on their website. Link to app help in the App Store is dead. I desperately need to recover my lists! Can the developer please respond to this review with a way I can get in contact for some support. Thank you.

Excellent App. If i think of things to buy I put them in straight away. Not just groceries but everything. Its really easy to use too.

Good app. Great, simple app, easy to use but way too many options for me. I just need it to have a list whilst shopping...I don't need to share it or do anything else but mark off the products from my list! BUT the most annoying thing just happened...when I got to the bottom of my 'already purchased' items, an accidental extra swipe of my screen has just deleted dozens of items that I normally like to go thru and add to my shopping list (this is a great way to add things you might have otherwise forgotten to add to the list)...gone, all gone...will have to start again 😩

Best List. Our family have found this to be extremely useful to make sure the pantry is always stocked up. All ingredients for recipes can be added in an instant to make sure nothing is missed. Definitely one of our most used apps.

Grocery List - Free. Its great, easy to customize, one minute to learn - its a Grocery List! But my PRO version disappeared when I upgraded my iPhone no time to try and figure it out... it’s a grocery list!!!!!

Great app. Have been using this for about 4 years, great app. Love that I can share the list with my better half - We can both be at work and think of something we need, and it will sync automatically so we can pick stuff up on the way home. Also like that you can have multiple lists. We have one for our weekly meal plan, another for the itemised shopping list, and wish lists for birthdays, Christmas, etc (still waiting for the Fender Telecaster to show though). They also seem pretty good at keeping on with the development effort. Just got an update tonight, one of many in my time using it and each time it gets better.

Ummmm can’t use with latest iOS. Ok so I have this app and now I need to access my lists and it won’t open as it says developer needs to update?????? When I come to it, it doesn’t update, it downloads another copy that works fine. I NEED TO ACCESS MY LISTS ON MY OLD VERSION IT WORKED A WEEK AGO.

Trapped into paid renewal for a free app. Have been using Buy Me a Pie, since it first came out years ago, when it was a great app. But somewhere along the line I lost all my lists… asked for support to recover my important lists plus login details… Support was quickly given to assist with recovering my login details. BUT not a word about recovering my lists. Now I have lost the app itself.. so went back into The app store and re downloaded the FREE But Me aPie app.. only to be told that Thank you for using The Pro version. ??? Nothing was mention about Paid Pro Version when I downloaded the app again.. then I read that I am now trapped into paying $40 (australian ) a year for the FREE version , which is only a 1 month trial. then the price starts. they say go into iTunes and in account section I can opt out of the paid version… the problem is I can’t afford a new computer to run itunes ( let alone pay for this now very much untrusted and unwanted app that is really useless to me without my lists) So I cannot opt out of the subscription. SO WHAT HAPPENS NOW. Trapped forever in a billing fiasco.. anyone help please. super stressed 80 year old 😫 I gave it one star, that the lowest there is, but hey they did answer the email . so one ⭐️ for that I suppose.

LOST EVERYTHING FOR THE 3rd TIME. I have been using this app for years and years as it is one of the only uncomplicated ones. Three times now it has deleted EVERYTHING after upgrading. Yes, I have tried just not upgrading but after a while the app no longer works well and I am forced to, or sometimes it just updates by itself 🥺 Yes, I have taken screenshots of my list but cannot remember to do this every day - plus this defeats the very purpose of the app! My years-long lists just GONE and in its place is just a blank page with a “start your first list” icon. I cannot keep doing this. Sorry guys, but I’m out.

Fantastic app used for many years by the whole family. I have items colour coded so they are roughly in the order, that I walk through the supermarket, so I don’t waste time walking back to get something. Have just started using my iwatch. I can cross things off but can not add them. Should I be able to do that?

Most of the time works well. This app has great potential, good clean interface. Yet the latest update stopped syncing with Apple Watch. Also Siri adds everything to reminders, it dissent seem to recognise the app. Also the subscription model is a bit steep. The free one is great. Once bugs are ironed out it will be an excellent app.

Almost a perfect app!. I love everything about the app. The ease of use, list sharing, colour coding, etc. The one feature that would make it perfect, for me at least, is the ability to attach images to grocery items. That I think will make it much easier to locate on supermarket shelves.

It’s a shame. I’ve used the Pro version for a few years and even recommended it to friends. However the latest upgrade is in fact a retrograde step to the point where I have unsubscribed to this once very useful app. Back to paper lists for me until something better comes along.

Resource hogging on my iPhone XS Max. Would normally give this 5 stars but recently it’s been majorly bugging on my iphone, overheating and lagging all of iOS, even when I shut the app so I need to hard close it. Good for grocery purchase management. This app helps to avoid buying for impulse, resulting in savings and avoiding us to forget to buy key items - no more coming home and then remember you forgot to buy something. It would be great if they had a premium version where you can include the item price, which will give us an idea of how much we will expect to spend for each purchase.

Again!. Once again my Grocery list is not working with my Apple watch 4. It stopped a while back and finally after a bunch of deleted/ reloads it somehow began to work again. Same problem has returned after month or more of working. Very frustrating as I have become reliant on this working and syncing and it makes me upset when it stops

they stuck it to their existing users. we bought this app and have used it happily for 2+ years. they rebranded and went with a renewing subscription model. all users who bought lifetime licenses were dumped and forced to subscribe. also, their new interface is very annoying now, often trying to ‘burden users with its help’. such a shame.

Everything gone. We used this app for years and it was good. Today went to use it and all info was lost. Used to be able to sync with my wife, not anymore. I’ll use a different app from now on.

Loss of data. After using this app for several years (previously known as Buy me a Pie), today all of the data has disappeared. There were hundreds of items organized into various colour-coded categories. No explanation, just gone. I was using the’Pro’ edition. I am going to switch to a different grocery list with AI assistance

Used to work better. My wife and I have used the “buy me a pie” app for quite some time and enjoyed it very much. But more recently the app started to have some serious problems, namely: - it often has problems printing via wifi on our printer, which is connected to our home network, - it no longer syncs between our various devices. (We have an iPhone SE, two iPod Touches and an iPad Air) ….we hope these problems will get fixed.

Crap app, crappier customer service. I used this app for a few years. It was clunky and not terribly user friendly but inertia being what it is, I kept it as I had about 40 lists on it. Then all my lists disappeared, my account disappeared and the company could not provide an explanation as to why. Eventually, they even stopped responding to my emails. There are far better shopping list apps out there. Deleting this one now.

NEED UPDATE. Can’t be used with latest iOS version unless it is updated!!!!! Please fix!!!!!!! Paid for app now $20subscription???? Or repurchase at $70 that’s insane! Too bad it was good but not worth those prices! So those of us who bought it a few yrs back are sol! Wow!!

Gave me a scare!. I thought everything had been deleted, but for some reason the app had just logged me out. I logged back in and everything is there. Phew!

Latest update deleted all existing lists. I have been using this app for years and it’s always been great and stable. But after updating last week, all my existing lists have disappeared, the app starts completely empty, as if I had installed it for the first time.

Lost Pro version. I love this app and use it all the time. Back in 2017, I subscribed to the Pro version to get the extra features. All of a sudden, in early November 2022, my Pro membership disappeared. I reached out for help and it’s still not resolved. I am being asked for proof of payment but I’ve had this app for 5 years and don’t know how to find that proof. The app does not contain that information. I would rate the app a 5-star if I had access to my paid Pro subscription. Until they restore my Pro membership, I can only give it 1 star.

Best app ever!. I love this app, it syncs to my son and husbands phone so they can add things or pick things up at the store. One of us can add something while the other is already at the store. I do have one suggestion... We keep the crossed off items for each week, then tap to add what I need. Sometimes we have duplicates because of typing instead of tapping to add to list. Is there a way to get rid of duplicates or the saved items we have added?

New to the Game. I recently started using this app. and I’m so happy my sister told me about it. I’m one of those people who always forgets something, even with a handwritten list. Not anymore!! Love Buy Me a Pie!. My daughter put me on to this app and I LOVE it. Makes it easy to organize lists. I like that you can restore items that you use frequently, so you don't have to start lists from scratch. I also love that I can share my list with my husband, so that it either of us buys an item, it comes off the list. I can think of dozens of ways to use this app. One of my favorites ever.

Love this app. I love having my list on my phone and that I can cross things out and have them disappear by just touching them. But I am NOT liking this new update where the crosses out things are alphabetical. Sometimes I accidentally tap things and before I could see them right below. But now, who knows where they are because it’s alphabetical! Everything I’ve ever added is in this massive list that I would never go through. Please change it back!

Not everything needs to be a subscription. Especially a grocery list app. I’m super disappointed that after years of using this app and having a color coded labeling system to help me get through my shopping more efficiently, they’ve decided to make all but 7 colors available to anyone who is not a “premium” user paying $30 a year. Super unnecessary and frustrating that this has gotten rid of half of the color categories I’ve gotten used to. I’d rather the app cost money upfront to download and then leave it at that. Not everything needs to be a subscription, especially an app that at the end of the day makes GROCERY LISTS.

Good, but..... I’ve always loved this app and recommended it to friends, but I just recently did the update and now it runs so slow and every entry is delayed. I’m a busy mom of three little ones and I need to be able to open the app and add an item quickly while I’m in the middle of seven other things so I don’t forget. It’s so frustrating to get stalled just trying to add one thing.

Lists Made Easy. This shopping app is perfect for organizing things that need to be done. You start typing and if you’ve used the item before, it pops up. But what I love the most is when you’re done with an item, you strike through it, and it goes to the bottom of the list. Makes shopping quicker, cleaner, easier. Which is perfect for the busy person.

Loved this app for years. This app is great for my grocery list. Have used it for years. I organise my list using the colours to make it easier; orange when I’m in the aisles, green when I’m in fresh produce etc. etc. Then you can tap it and remove from list once you have it in your cart. Highly recommend.

What happened?. This was an excellent app until the last update. Avoid this until they fix the sharing and other problems. OK - we got it working. The update deleted our old information and it took a day or two to research, find and restore our data.

Wonderful and Easy I don't forget things anymore and neither does my husband.. Used the free version and liked it so much I purchased the app. I am very happy with it. and I continue to really like this app. It makes keeping your shopping easy and organized. The update has made the app even better and has made me like it even more. I use this app probably more than any other.

Sprouts Market. Good selection and quality of fruits and vegetables. Need a hard to find veggie for a unique recipe, you’d probably find it there. The clerks there are friendly and very helpful. I shop Keto and many times a clerk help me find what I need. A special item, who would know what aisle to look for it. Loads of supplements and nutritional needs. Great place.

I love this list making app!. I love how easy it is to customize the color categories so I can have things together on the list where they are in the store. I have totally rearranged things and made it my own. Got my hubby to use it too and he actually puts stuff on my list now. Makes shopping so much easier and i never leave my list behind!!!!

What we love: Flexible planning methods, Instant updates for the shopper who already left home, multiple list option, ie Groceries, but other lists too- Garden store etc—actually we live EVERYTHING about this app!

deletes my items, terrible user interface feature. Trying to scroll through items I have in my options list, it keeps deleting the list of items, without any sort of command from me, or any request to verify that I want to delete them. So i tried it again, scrolling to see items and when I reach the bottom (which should happen normally when one scrolls) and it says to release to delete (or remove). Of course when I scroll and get to the bottom, I ALWAYS release. But they take it as a delete command??? For a premium price, to get a third rate operation does not seem great.

Old version so much better!. I wouldn’t recommend this new version and was forced to down load a whole new app of this and would not even allow me to check my old app to see what groceries to buy. Yet the new app said it sync’s but it sure didn’t sync my old app! Also it doesn’t allow you to slide and delete anymore. I use to be able to slide my finger across the word listed to just press delete and no long does that anymore. It just draws a line through it now and lowers the name to the button.

Great app, but would love to see reordering feature on lists. It's really a great application for managing shopping list. I would like to see an option to rearrange order of each lists. For example, when I add new list, it gets added to the top of the list. But my old list already have lots of items and is frequently used. I have to scroll to access it.

Works unless you share the list. This app works great until you decide to share the list. The app will add old and deleted items to the shared list so the buyer thinks it’s parts of the grocery list and buy stuff that wasn’t meant to be added. Or the list won’t update with added items at all and stuff gets left off. It’s super frustrating. My husband just spent over $100 on items that we didn’t need that the app put into the list after I had already deleted it.

Atrocious app that will delete your lists. I used this app for literally years, and then one day I open it up and all my lists are gone. When I try to reach out to their help desk, they take a week to respond and tell me they have no account affiliated with my email address. What? How on earth did I use it for years with no actual account? Either your design is atrocious or your system messed up big time. Either way, I lost several important list that I now have to recreate from memory. Don’t waste your time with this app. I’m building my new lists in AnyList and it seems to work well so far.

Excellent, Easy to Use, Tiny Typeface. Possibly my favorite app for shopping. Versatile, customizable, incredibly intuitive. My only complaint, and it’s admittedly personal, is that the typeface cannot be increased. As someone who’s eyes are not what they once were, this can be a bit frustrating for an app that is primarily text based. But, on the whole, it’s a big thumbs up from me. Used it happily for a few years now.

Have been using this app a couple of years, still like it. It’s an easy list, easy to share, I would like it if you could add a picture to the products but it’s also okay without that. Didn’t pay for it, the pro version seems to be expensive meanwhile, but I got this app a long time ago already

I tried to write a great review but no words came up below. I use the app Grocery List all day long. It’s so convenient to put a grocery item in it as I think of it. Also, I put in it things I want to do. Again it’s so convenient because I always have my phone with me and as I remember what I need to do I put it in too.

Consistently responsive & effective customer support. I’ve subscribed to the Buy Me A Pie shopping list app for a number of years and share lists with several family members. The app works well and…the few times I have had problems (mostly login issues when I get a new phone) their customer support gets back to me within a day or so and gets me up and running again.

Gone shopping and forgot something?. I have a magnetic writer board on my fridge, when we are running out of something we put it on the writer board. Then when I’m going shopping I transfer everything on the board to this app. While shopping I buy what we put on this app. No more forgetting something we needed. It has save me a lot of trips to the grocery store or to Costco for things I forgot to buy It’s a great app

Best for sharing. I’ve used this for many years and love how I can use it with family members to keep our lists updated. It’s really convenient. My only wish to the developers would be the ability to scan items onto my list by the barcodes. Many fitness apps use those barcodes to track my nutrition. Why can’t I simply scan the same barcoades to add those items to my shopping lists?

Great app for Grocery lists. Wife and I share a list and add things whenever we run out. Best part is sorting the list by color, 1 color for each food isle. Simple to use and customize. Adding items is a breeze, just start to type the item and it auto fills from previous items added from your history.

Great Grocery List App!. This is the basic grocery list app. Simple & straight forward, with a lot of good features. One feature I would really like is the ability to re-order my list so that. I can place items on the list in the order I expect to find them in the store - produce first, frozen last. Another wishlist item is recipe syncing so I can pull up a recipe & add ingredients to the grocery list.

Keeps me organized. I use the Grocery List app all the time. Once I get to the grocery store, I sometimes forget my grocery list and I’m bound to forget to purchase something. This app changes the game, because I always have my phone😉 Even my kids know how to add items to my Grocery List.

Love it!. My husband added this app to my phone and his phone and I absolutely love it. Now I can create a grocery list, knowing that if he’s passing the store and has time to get something, he can just stop at the store because we are synced. I haven’t really explored it completely but this alone is worth a five star rating. I’ve tried other grocery list out and they all had a lot of negatives to them.

Was better 😕. Use to be able to swipe up & hold to remove entire completed list. Now you have to delete each item individually, which is a pain. Have no idea why they went to this method. Otherwise, fantastic. Use it every week. Always have my shopping list with me, so I can add an item to it no matter where I am. No more leaving the shopping list @ home on the fridge.

Years of use. I've used this app every week for over four years now and love it still. I’ve color coded food items by aisle (like green for produce or red for cleaning supplies, blue for frozen foods etc) and I sail through the store. I make a pick-up list for hubby and it automatically transfers to the app on his phone. Honestly can’t imagine supplying my household without it. Thanks so much!

Adds. Just purchased(1month to try), playing around to get familiar and we keep getting adds popping up at bottom. And don’t press anything anywhere near these adds as u will get sent of to the wilds in add land land/or get yet another request for money. The ONLY reason I paid was to avoid the adds. Thinking this will be 1 month and done. To be clear this isn’t a rating on the apps functionality but on getting adds/pop ups after paying not to get them

Love this app!!. I have used Make me a pie for years. It’s so simple. As I think of things I need or while planning meals, I can add items to my list. Then while at the store doing my shopping, I can cross them off, just like a written list. What’s even better all your favorite items stay in the memory of the app so you can easily read them to the list the next time you need that item. It’s so great! I carry my iPad in the store with me instead of having to deal with paper and pen. Try it, you’ll like it!

🙂. I’ve used this app for years and love it! I would have rated it 5 stars, but the last update (a few days ago) erased the shopping lists I made and reverted my shopping items database to a version from years ago. Items that I added were suddenly gone. Items that I deleted were suddenly back. I’ve had to start over. I still love and use the app! I just thought the feedback could be useful. Thanks!

Five star grocery list. I love this app I use it every week for my grocery list. It is so easy to use. When I’m shopping I look at it to make sure I don’t forget anything that is on my list. The items that I use automatically come up to click on as I’m making my list which I love. It saves me time and effort. I highly recommend. I’ve been using it for years 😀

Ads have ruined the app. I have used this app for many years and it has worked great for our family as everyone can put items on the list and we can organize them easier. Recently however we noticed there were items on our list that no one in our family added. It turned out that items that are advertised are randomly added to the lists without anyone requesting it. I don’t mind the ads, but with multiple people adding items it has become a maintenance issues to audit the list to make sure something that we don’t want is added without us requesting it. I will be looking for a new platform.

Almost perfect. I love Buy Me a Pie; it just has two small issues standing in the way of being perfect. One: it regularly sends a push notification asking ‘isn’t it time you made a list?’ No, if I needed a list I’d have made one already 😒 Two: there is no way to add notes or qualifying statements. For instance, if you want corn (28 oz package), 3 or 4... it will input 28 corn, and anything after that - oz package) - will be made into a new item.

Handy app. Best free app of this type that I've found. I use it all the time. I would like to see the ability to edit an item in the database. Now all I can do is change the color tile. If I want to change words I have to delete the item and then create a new item. I would also like to see the ability to give the color tiles a category name.

Great app! Needs photo capability. I LOVE this app and have been using it for years. The only thing I wish it had is a way to add a photo to an item when I want something in a very specific brand. I’m very picky about ingredients and what I buy. It would be nice to be able to take a picture so my husband knows exactly what I want when he goes to the store without a lengthy text description.

Still a favorite!. I’ve had this app forever - since my iPhone 4. I still use it nearly daily for shopping lists. Very customizable and it syncs between devices and family members beautifully. Customer service, while rarely needed, has been responsive. One of my few long-time keepers!

Love It. Being able to sort items I need by store and by different sections of that specific store have made shopping so much easier. I also love that my husband and I can share lists, so we both know what we need to get regardless of who goes to the store. Customer services is awesome! I needed to change my name and email address and they replied back to both same day. I tell everyone about this app!

Great way to keep a grocery list!. Since my phone is usually with me, this app is a great way to track my grocery list and you can separate it by areas of the store (using different colors). It also keeps a record of what I've purchased in the past so I don't have to enter things over and over again...I just click on the item on the list at the bottom of the screen. Love it!

Use it with I watch.. I am enjoying this app and use it quite a bit. Only change I would like to see is, I would like to add on to my list from my watch which I could before using my previous app. I don’t like going through my phone to do so. Thanks for the info. I tried the instructions you sent and it works like a charm. I up graded from 4 stars to five.

What could have been a great app. This is a great app that is plagued by pop ups trying to get you to pay for their upgraded version, or nagging questions on rating and reviewing . Even now as I rate this app, the keyboard function is completely messed up and the app won’t allow mee to view what I’m writing. Go somewhere else if you’re looking for a grocery store app.

My shopping list. I use this app frequently. I always have my phone with me. Using this instead of a written list allows me to add to it at any time. When I was using a handwritten list, I sometimes misplaced it, forgot it, or couldn’t read my writing. The app is easier. You can add multiple stores, in case one doesn’t have what you need.

New to the app. Been using this app for about 3 weeks and there is a lot to like. You can make several different lists. The lists are easy to share. I haven’t found a way to edit something on a list. For example, I need kidney beans and add it to my list. But if someone else is going shopping for me, I will want to add “canned” to the beans or maybe “organic”. I haven’t found a way to do that without erasing the item and rewriting it.

App now syncing perfectly. I pulled my two star review and give the app five stars. I am a longterm user of your app. I was having a terrible time with list not syncing most of the time with my wife’s iPhone. Tech support had me delete app and reinstall them, and now they synch properly again. Great program where the small ads do not get in the way, nor do they try to up-sell you Thanks

No, you’re not smarter than I am. It’s your basic shopping list app. From what I’ve experienced, not nearly worth the premium price. One feature that I find particularly irritating is that it auto-fills for you. So when you put 220 grit sandpaper on your list, it immediately recognizes that you’re a moron and you meant to type 220 sheets of sandpaper. It fixes it for you! Thanks so much. In summary, way overpriced with irritating features most likely incorporated my a millennial.

Buy me a pie. There may be other grocery apps but this one is great. I have been using for years. It’s easy to use why would anyone need one more complicated. Perfect. Please don’t change it to make it better, usually the changes are not better when supposedly new improved is not better. A grocery list does not have to be difficult. This one even puts item in order. I love it!!!!!
