Great app!. Records great information and loaded with most tracks. Very easy to use. Only caveat is that it is dependent on having a good cellular signal. Have been to tracks in middle of nowhere where the app struggles. Not the apps fault.

Intuitive and excellent. My track time wouldn’t be nearly as enjoyable if I didnt have this app. It’s simple to use, provides the data I want for my DE hobby. Definitely should be paired with a good GPS device as recommended.

Rendering on iPhone fail. Rendering on latest iOS crashes the app every single time. It will get all the way to the end of the status bar...and then crash. Fixing that issue will easily garner this app with 5 stars.

Great App, struggled with ODB 2 Device. I bought the OBD2 BLE reader by Veepeak which is listed on the app’s website, but it did not work with the app. It would only try connecting for a moment then go by to searching for an OBD2 device. The same device worked on other apps though, like Harry’s. As a fellow software developer, check on that device again for compatibility. The OBDLink CX did work with this app though. Good thing I ordered multiple to test out. After getting that working, my first track day with this app went very well! I was impressed with the data recorded. My camera mounting position wasn’t that great, so I may invest in an external camera.

Not compatible with mpvi2. Purchased this from a link I found on the Hptuners website, only to find out the Mpvi2 is not Bluetooth compatible with iOS. It’s weird you would release a iOS specific app, but it’s not compatible with the one device you sell. Makes the app completely useless in my opinion. I wish the description of the app was a little more informative so i wouldn’t have wasted me money.

Difficult to use and debug. I bought an external gps unit to increase responsiveness and accuracy of gps data. Every time I use it the gps causes the delay of all overlaid data including obd data. I wouldn’t mind this if there was an easy way to adjust the offset between the video and the data streams overlaid but alas I couldn’t find it in the myriad options. I’m also trying to sync them with RaceRender (made by same people) and I can’t seem to be able to do that easily. Otherwise data gathering is great but what use is it without a visual image. :-/

Great budget timer. This app is great for those of us who like to go to the track but don’t want to break the budget doing it. Using this app has allowed me to improve greatly in a short period of time. I can review my data and video between session which allows me to make improvements from one session to the next. The timing is also very accurate; usually within .01 of a second compared to official lap timers.

Driving on the Track. This app is the best for the track, even in spotty cellular

Latest version is flawed. Version 4.0.3 has problems with losing the start/finish GPS marker, not recording sessions, and not displaying the screen in landscape mode during preview and recording . The previous version worked fine and that is what I bought . Please give it back to me.

Silver. It’s a great tool at the track in an easy package. All you need is the app, an iPhone or other, and a windshield mount. Excellent!

Lots of fun!. First time I had ever driven on a track I used the app. It allowed me to review my performance and improve. Also allowed me to share with family and friends. Really great value for the small price paid.

Great App. This is a great app for pre-drag testing. Yeah their are free apps but this app really is the best so have found. Thumbs up from Valdosta Georgia USA.

App is kind of a mess. Very little luck with odb pairing and website’s security certificate is expired. Spent quite a bit of time trying to get this working and have kind of lost interest.

Technical Support. I really like this app. But would like a tech phone number is email address. Other apps will actually set up the course for you to be more accurate? ( I’m guessing) also when I’m running a lap ( circle track) my tracking may go off track. I am using an older iPhone 8 with no cell service. I get gps . Any suggestions on Bluetooth/hotspot pairing phones for better results? Thank you.

Needs to sync with iPhone. HP Tuners & Track Addict does not sync with on iPhones. Would be 5 stars if it did.

No OBD connection. This App worked sporadically for a couple of years but then stopped pairing with my OBD device. The OBD device still works as I can pair it with the KIWI App. Very frustrating

Comsi comsa. I have had a love hate relationship with the app. Recording works most of the time but during my last weekend the recording couldn't be recovered/downloaded. I have also deleted all historical videos but now the software says there are only 55 min left to record.

Simply simple. I’ve used some other timers but they are difficult to set up. Track Addict is easy and gives everything you need and most of what you want simple enough for anyone to use even without reading directions.

Track addict is true addiction. This review is quite simple, don't need no stinking GoPro, got Track Addict. I find the complexity of the GoPro as compared to Track Addict unusable. Track Addict I can watch immediately to see what I am doing that needs improvement. Incredibly easy to use.

great budges on board analysis. Does some things very well considering the price of a full fledged race computer. we usually lay it on our lap or ductape phone down and let er rip

Track Addict. I’ve only used it for 1, 2 day event and it’s great! I purchased a Veepeak obd2 and turned the app on and plugged the obd2 in. The app found it and off we go! So Easy!! Thanks!!

Good app but no background recording. The app is very good with a few bugs like when you zoom in the map to see speeds or g forces and you scroll up or down and the line or track disappears so you have to zoom back and then it shows again. Also this app would be perfect for me if it could run in the background so I can record my speeds and times while I use google maps to get directions in my trail.

Great, Economical Driver Feedback. After 32 years I went back to SCCA Solo II competitions, and suffice it to say my high speed driving skills were rusty. TrackAddict won’t singularly transform you into an “alien” (freak fast driver), but frankly nothing will except seat time. So the question is how do you apply lessons learned to not only drive fast, but become a fast driver? TrackAddict is part of a recipe that works for me. By using this app I was able to see how my in-person feedback compared to the data of what the car was actually doing. If you are a national-level driver you may want something more complex such as SoloStorm, but for the rest of us this is a superb tool.

Must have for track nights!. You’re seriously missing out if you aren’t recording video from your track nights. Track Addict takes it a step further and generates data to show you how you’re doing from one session to the next. Awesome app, and I recommend it to everyone that does track nights! I paired mine with my MPVI3 and it generated some additional data / overlayed telemetry on my videos!

Great app. Would have given a 5 but it took 4 tries to get a good recording. Controls were not intuitive for an old guy.

Thank u for the new updates. The app is way better with new updates. Hope they keep improving it. Now I actually feel I’m getting my money’s worth from it.

Better than the rest!!!. To developers: Need to allow iPhone 12 (and newer) owners to pick the ultra wide lens!!! I gave up on Race Chrono Pro and Harry’s Lap Timer Grand Prix because their UI was crude by comparison or loaded with feature complexity I didn’t want.

It help me!. I really like all the updates that they install over the years. For me it is the new live feed of your lap times. I can look how I am doing to my last lap by the color of the screen, Green (good) Red (bad).

Works great for hpde. Does everything I need and is easy to use

Very surprised that the app did so well.. Can’t beat spending this little money for an occasional track day. Worked flawlessly and was able to improve my track times and work on improving my lines.

Picked this up for my first track day. It was a great tool to not only keep track of lap times, but each segment of the track as well. I plan to continue using this for autox events in the future.

Race Analysis Track Day Fun. Track Addict allows instant analysis of your driving techniques and records lap time. Much easier to set up and run compared to other racing apps. No need to fumble to start GoPro camera. An absolute necessity on the track.

Can’t export data. I can’t email data from iPhone. When I try to share Raw CSV file, it keeps saying “failed to create mail Composer!”

Does not appear to make good use of external GPS capability.. The app allows the use of an external gps which is great! However, when setting the start and stop points for a segment using gps position it appears to reverts back to the less accurate gps information from the phone’s gps.

I don’t write reviews. I just don’t. But…. Second review I’ve ever submitted. I just don’t unless as in this case, the app REALLY blows me away. I tried so many different ones and none came close to this one. I’m not wealthy and spend my money on apps sparingly but money on this one was well spent. So if you are on the fence, DO IT! You won’t regret it. Uhmmmm. Unless you drive a Prius. In that case look in the environmentalist section of the App Store, burning coal to make electricity to power my car to save the world!

Good app. It’s annoying that you have to download racerender, but at least it’s free

DOES NOT WORK. keeps coming up and saying not connected to the internet for live feed, with no way to contact the company (that I can find) I’m leaving 1 star and I paid for the pro version as well

Super easy to get running and $900 cheaper than a garmin catalyst. A quick easy download and far better tool than Harry’s lap timer for all the OGs using an iPhone to record data and video on one spot easily for quick review while at the track

Add More GPS Options!. I now have a Racebox Mini and would love an update to Track Addict to be s able to use the 25 hz GPS, accelerometers and gyros. Thanks!

App makes me happy. I downloaded this while at NJ motorsports for a class by Yamaha Ride Like a Champion and the app did more than I expected. It’s pretty neat that I was able to see my lap times just by putting my phone in my pocket.

First use. This app is pretty well laid out and self explanatory. I used it for the first time today at an autocross and setting up the segment was easily done during the course walk. GPS timing was within .100 of the timing system, I thought that was pretty darn good! Nice to have your video available right in the app so you can review while waiting for the next run.

Making me a better driver. This app has allowed me to dissect my driving times all over the track. I can now see where to focus for better times. I would recommend this app to any track guy.

SCCA Racer. Love this app! I have expensive data telemetry in my car and this is almost as good if not better and easier to use. Simply awesome.

Easy to use and super helpful. An absolutely great app for anyone who does track days or Motorsport events. Has a huge selection of tracks pre-programmed in, as well as features like auto-start recording when the car moves. Makes it super easy to set up and use, and gives you a brilliant recording to see what you need to improve on. If you’re not sure if it would be useful, get the free version and try it (difference is it only keeps 3 recordings), then come back here and buy the pro version, cos it’s worth it!

Sports racer. This app is amazing, so easy to use, video camera and gps all in ur iPhone. Such a powerful tool. U will not be dissapointed

Failed to record video. Failed to record laps. Bought (!) this app for a track day with some friends. They had other apps. All of those worked very well. This one failed to play back the videos it said it recorded, and couldn’t export them either. It also failed to accurately recognise when I’d completed a lap. My friends’ apps seemed to work a lot better. Wish I hadn’t spent $14 on it.

Great Data logging App. Have been using this for tracking lap times at club sprint events and it’s brilliant. The predicted lap times really get you pumped when on a quick lap and help improve times. Well worth the purchase price. Cheapest data logger around!

Best app I have purchased.. I had a bit of trouble deciding weather or not to buy this app as there did not seem to be as much support for it as some of the competing apps but I am glad that I did. For a while now I have been using a couple of different action cams and editing software and recording my track days with reasonable success but i was looking for a simple option and this is it. The video quality is fantastic and all of the display items look great and seem to be accurate enough for me. I will be telling every body in my car club to start using this app.

Fantastic product, love the regular updates. Thank you, I don't go to the track often, only used it twice and it worked as expected. Used with XGS160 10Hz rather than built in iPhone's 1Hz. Best when used with guided access to disable accidental exit from the app while riding.

Great feedback on track and off!. This is one app that keeps giving! Always lots of features to give you more info about your car.

Great App. I have been using Harry's Laptimer for the past year and decided to try this app as well. Really impressed, works well and a lot less complicated to use than Harry's. I have both a GoPoint ODB reader and a DUAL external GPS and both are supported. Love how I can preview the overlay video right away, with Harry's you first have to run through a long overlay process. Also the ability to compare lap times with dots moving around a picture of the track is really useful, something Harry's doesn't have at all. Wish there were more overlays to choose from as none of the current ones are as pretty and detailed as that of Harry's, but hopefully more will come in future versions. If you are using your iPhone to record track day sessions, definitely try this app, it is priced well and a great alternative to Harry's Laptimer app.

Lovin it!!. Superb app! Haven't done any exports or combining of video external to iphone but if anything like the local app ;) it will be great!

Excellent. I would like to be able to export video of the telemetry data playback with a large Center track map and telemetry data around the outside. I love all the other features and its well worth the purchase. Just add video export of telemetry data without video.

Simple to use, reliable and produces great videos. I've bought quite a few apps to record my track days but this is the one that i actually use. Don't be fooled by the simple interface, its everything you need to reliably capture track telemetry, lap timing, obdii stats and video at the click of a button. Just press the record button in pit row, drive and don't think about it - it just works. You can preview your laps between sessions and then easily render and export individual laps (or an entire session) when you get home. A few words of advice to get the most out of this app a) for best results use an external gps like a xgps150 b) make sure that the gps is firmly affixed to your dash c) unless you have cellular or wifi connectivity at the track, you may want to set the lap starting point using google maps before getting to the track as per the documentation or user forum. A worthy addition to any track enthusiast's ipad/iphone even if you already have other apps - try it out, i assure you that its the one you gravitate toward when you leave pit row.

Great app. I use this for super sport motorcycle and motocross and it works great! It let me know that my speedo was out by 8% from factory! Love that it shows where I brake and accelerate.

Awesome app!. I have really been impressed with this app, it is super easy to use and does everything I expected it to do and much more.

Worked well for autocross. The throttle overlay is great when I use my kiwi wifi OBD2 adapter. I'm really happy with the app so far. The speed is a bit laggy using the iPhone's GPS.

Excellent video recording, terrible UI. I downloaded this app on a whim to try to record some autocross footage. It worked great, but the UI still has me scratching my head. The Bad: ------------- * UI is confusing as all get-out. * The documentation doesn't help much. * Where it's not confusing, it's ugly. * Actually, where it is confusing, it's also ugly. The Good: -------------- * By defining a "segment" you can use the GPS to mark the track start line and finish line (perfect for autocross), and recording will automatically stop a few seconds after you cross the finish. * Exported video is gorgeous. * Really takes advantage of the iPhone's built-in features to gather as much info as possible. * Automatically maps the course as you're driving, giving a really nice overlay when re-watching video. * The videos really look good. Did I mention that? * Stores multiple sessions. This is well worth the money, IMO. It was a huge help to my AutoCross times, because after a run, I could sit in grid and watch my run, to identify places where I could improve my time. That advantage alone makes it more valuable than any number of GoPros, to me (where I'd have to bring the cameras home and dump the video to my computer before I could get any benefit.) If only they'd make the UI better.

Really helpful!!. This app is really great for track days. It helps track all your numbers and lets you compare laps and times and g forces....it's beyond worth $9. Keep it coming!!!!! This is the only app you need for track day.

Love this app. So far so good. I've done a few test segment and this product works exactly as it claims. Once I get on a road coarse I can give it a complete test, but I have no reason to think it will perform any differently. Does what standalone data logger systems do for hundreds less or more. Thanks for the great app.

Great app but no 60FPS support. Love everything about this app but I just want 60FPS support. I have tried emailing the developer before and received no response. I can only hope he reads this review and grants my wish. 1080p60 over 4K all day, especially when filming something action-packed such as my car going around a course as fast as I can make it go...

Hmmm...... I'm sorry to be the first to rate this. This is the part I hate. Honesty..... First off, great idea! Really! I do like what I see here! Well, as I was messing with TrackAddict HD Pro, it doesn't seem to want to record? I have gone through all the options and still, nothing. Next, I wasn't aware that I needed a device for this App either. I do run the BlueDriver App and yes, it is very expensive, but it is what it says! (To a T!) I would love it no more than for these companies to be a little bit more open and honest with us techies! We spend money on this stuff, and we need it to work. When you show pictures of your App's online, place also show us all the necessary hardware we need to also purchase. While doing this, I feel it should all be one great big package as well. When buying the App, the other things that cause it to work should come with it as well. How?! CreditCard's have addresses on them. Right? Send the extra's to the address provided when you have the card numbers transaction. Also, hacks? I would love to see someone hack some if these apps for them to work with other OBD2's Lemur, BlueDriver. Thank You to all.

Recommend. Records laps with or without video. Selectable data available to review saved sessions. Secure phone for more accurate Gs, speed, etc. Still learning features, highly recommended, and well worth the $.

Excellent!!. Downloaded this app yesterday while in the staging lanes at pocono raceway. Had it setup up and running within 2 minutes. Worked flawlessly the entire session. Fantastic video and data. Highly recommend.

Almost perfect. Need to seperate the video from recording the laps or even better make it as an option . Please its eating my phone capacity + it heats very quick partially due to this. Also if they can allocate (ghost mode) and a perfect line hitting the epics would make it the perfect app imho

Great app for the track. Tested the app at Spring Mtn and it worked great. Lots of great features including a heat map of your braking points on the track. I would give this app a 5 if not for a couple of things. It heats up the phone a lot! Was a little concerning. The other issue I have is the recorded video. It takes up a lot of space but you have no access to the videos on the phone. If you want to delete laps or delete video but keep laps, you can't without deleting the whole session. There should be an option to turn video recording off, delete videos only, and delete individual laps although that's not a big deal.

No lap info. Ran this app at Blackhawk raceway. It captured video and other data great, but no lap data. One thing a track timer must do is capture lap timings.

Great app, but heats up phone!. Love this app. Its simpler and easier to use than Laptimer for just video w/data. But, in a test drive of about 30 min, it caused my 4S to overheat and shut down. Still, Worth the money for what it does. Just ordered an OBD II dongle to also capture data. Turn it OFF when U stop.

Fantastic. I bought this app years ago and only used it a hand full of times. Used it again today and much has changed since then. Works really well and keeps pretty accurate time.

Great app works with OBDII. Very easy to use and setup with an OBDII reader. It does take a ton of battery when running, but that's expected, and not an issue of it's plugged into power. It has Harry Lap timer beat because it does use as much memory when rendering a video to the iPhone photo album. Would buy again.

Excellent App!. This app exceeds all expectations and at a fraction of the price of its competitors! Lap timer, video, data logger, OBD2 reader - this app does it all! Timely useful updates as well. I added on a GPS dongle and wifi OBD2 with excellent results and only a little fuss. My highest recommendation!

Fantastic. This app is amazing! It captures the experience and provides fairly accurate information on various data points you want. You can track your performance after a run by using the animated track function. I use a BT1 bluetooth OBD2 to log info directly from my car. Many tracks are preloaded on the app complete with aerial images. Thanks!

Nice. As advertised. I wish it would have automatically selected the track upon first use. No lap counts during the first session due to this. With this type of functionality, it makes more sense to automatically default - better UX in my opinion. Great app!!

Helpful and easy.. Updated and now includes New York Safety Track. I use an external gps unit with my iPhone in my pocket. Very consistent results. It can also control my GoPro. Super pleased.

Great track data logger. Really works well. I use it with a dual gps and elm327 wifi obd2 transmitter. I get vid and G's from the phone rpm/boost/pedal pos from the elm and gps from the dual. Works great with their companion app race render for generating videos with overlays

Works perfectly. Easy and accurate. Used this for first time at thunderhill raceway and it was extremely easy to use. Love that you turn it on to record and it waits until you are actually moving on the track to start. My gopro is too dumb for that!! Awesome app guys!!

Use it for HPDE. A bit clunky user interface but I think I have it about figured out. Since I use my iPhone, which also has my music on it I have to record in SD otherwise it fills up the phone too fast. Instructions could be better, overall though for the money it really can't be beat. No reason to complain when considering the cost of a Go Pro

Neal. Since they upgraded, I can’t get the app to acquire GPS (all my other apps do!). Please go back to the previous version - it worked great and this version doesn’t work at all!

Great track app!. This app works great! Saves a bunch of money since you don't need a go pro. If you track your car you should have this app. Absolutely perfect!

Won't acquire GPS. I know first hand the potential of this app, but it won't acquire GPS signal. The pop-up window flashes for a split second and then goes away before I can approve it to use GPS. I've been messing with it for about an hour, the phone's GPS works fine. This is on the new iPhone 5 if that matters. Without GPS, the app is functionless

Track addict. I use this app to record open road races. It is easy to set up and works great. The video quality is excellent and the data from the GPS showing speed and track is also great. Best money I've spent on this type of app. I tried getting Harry's to work but could not with this type of course.

Never works. I’ve tried this at least 6 times at 2 different tracks. Never works. I’ve got 4 bars LTE And the gps never picks up.

Awesome App. Well worth the cost. Just buy it if you're a track junkie. Been using it for a couple years now. Very accurate and the detailed video Overlays are great. Great application support as well with periodic updates and improvements. Update 5-3-17. Still the best track app. Since I originally purchased few years Ago, they have made some great improvements.

Great for track days. I have used this app for many track days and it works great. Very accurate. I've had it in cars with very expensive professional timers and it does most of the same things.

Easy to use. I use this app combined with the Wi-Fi export to race render. Between the two I was very happy with the result of the video I was able to easily produce.

Segment. Tested great, would be better if segment could have end coordinates to use for auto cross and rally cross. To avoid having to push stop while crossing the finish line. Along with a couple seconds of post stage so the video doesn't abruptly end.

Great track app!. Telemetry, multiple data inputs, lap comparisons, and video recording with some great overlays! It's got almost everything one could want. Accurate to within a tenth or two.

Incredible!!!. I've been using this app for a few years, and I'm still impressed with it. It works very well with many great features. Be sure to check out the lap comparison tool. I used it for a long time before I noticed it. You may be surprised at where you pick up time in a lap.

First AutoCross. This is a great tool for replaying your runs. One issue I did run into was that the finish point was so close to a slalom section of the corse it shut down the recording prematurely. I overcame that by starting and ending my runs manually. Not a big deal but I'm not getting my times recorded as I would like. I look forward to learning and using TrackAddict more as I get time AutoCrossing. Additionally it worked great with both the GoPoint OBDII and GoPro on my IPhone and IPad.

Great app!. Great app! $10 verses a gopro at $500!

Great App. Perfect for a variety of driving situations, great interface and reliable. Only request would be for a landscape or zoomed version of session maps/ data overlays and the addition of graphs displaying speed/G/etc over time (ideally with side by side/ overlaid toggling of values for analysis). Overall though, I love it.

Best All-In-One. I have a Go-ProHD, and I have tried other data acquisition App. But, there is so much post acquisition processing, that it becomes almost a chore. Well with TrackAddictHD, you can do it all with just one App and then export the video to iMovie. Wish I had this App before I got the Go-Pro. Now all I need is a wide angle lens. Update: Pair this App with the Optrix wide angle case and you really have everything you need for a track day! Update: Paired with GoPoint Bluetooth OBDII module and now I have full car statistics too. So easy to use and so much info!
