Beautiful app. I use it daily. The iching descriptions speak well to me

Just paid but no change in access. Why would I pay $5.99 but get absolutely no upgrade and the same messages to upgrade to see full content? I paid and nothing changes. Now I see a different app for the same amount by the same company. Pretty annoyed. Feel like I just got ripped off. Paid for nothing. Wow. This needs to be refunded.

Best source of insight. I use this oracle to get a different perspective which helps me see things in a different light.

Be advised!. I tried the lite version to see if it would work. It looked good, but data was incomplete due to lite version. So I bought the in app upgrade. It never came. I tried to get the developer to help. I emailed twice with no response. Ultimately, I gave up. I deleted the lite version. I then purchased the full I Ching version from the developer through the App Store, hoping that Apple would refund the in app upgrade, which they promptly did. Thank you, Apple! I still am second guessing whether I should have just given up and looked for another app from another developer... Be wary of unresponsive developers.

This One. Best translation I have ever read, & I have read a few.

More of a demo than a lite version. The thing that makes this a lite version is not that there are some missing features, but rather that many of the hexagrams have most of the text missing. So it’s not actually useful for anything others than giving you an impression of what the full product would look like.

Book of Change is masterfully crafted and accessible to new users. I first used the I Ching 50 years ago when faced with a decision a friend and I had to make about our next destination from the Canary Islands. We both independently threw the exact same hexagram, however our interpretations of the reading were the exact opposites. My interpretation led me away from the destination we considered and his led to a very negative outcome. The magic here is that, for me, it clarified my thoughts and lead me on a higher path. I am great full that it has served me very well over the years.

Great app but I’d love a social element. Great app. The translation is wonderful and I love the consult feature. Super happy with the purchase. But I’d also love to able to share hexagrams on social media and in SMS. Not the whole reading - just the salient details.

wonderful app. i am just getting into the i ching and daoism, and this is a lovely app to get acquainted. my only feedback is that when i type into the journal, i often have to go back and fix typos because autocorrect is disabled. this gets in the way of my flow of getting my thoughts down and makes journaling a bit more cumbersome. i hope they’ll change this and enable autocorrect. thank you for the app!

Will not load after paying the $5.99. I am exhausted by trying to get this to give me what I have paid for. I am endlessly promoted to restore my purchase, but it never gives me access. It looks like a great version, but I will never really know. Sad

Well done app. I was introduced to the I Ching 20 years ago. As noted, the i ching cannot make predictions, but it usually gives wisdom about a situation. This app is easy to use.

What did you do to my app? I want it back!. I have been using this app for several years. Now after the latest upgrade 2 weeks ago, there is incomplete “teaser” material for the hexagrams, and a link to buy the app bundle if you want to read the rest. No warning. It’s like you stole my app away. This is really in bad faith, app developer! Shame on you.

Love the app but…. I love using this app when needing clarity on situations that I find myself in as well as for daily guidance. The “but” is because I upgraded to premium some time ago but when I changed phones the premium service didn’t transfer. Not getting what I paid for is not cool. But the app is.

Won’t open on watch. I have had this title downloaded on my phone for sometime and was really looking foreword to having it on my watch but it won’t open on my watch and I wold like to know why you have it set for the watch if it doesn’t work on the watch. So I give you 2 stars.

Great app, love the translation. I get a lot out of the wisdom contained in this book. Anytime I’m looking for some guidance, I consult and get my reading, and it opens my perspective up a little. The app is also set up smoothly.

A Real Friend.... I keep this app nearby all the time. It's helped me through a lot of indecisive moments and some real tough ones. It's an American-style translation from the Chinese but given that, it is immensely instructive.

RIP OFF. When they say that there are in app purchases available what they mean is that half of the meanings are missing and that it will cost you extra money to get them. There are many other I Ching Apps available that actually give you what they say they will. Buy one of those instead.

Does Not Recognize Past Purchases. I have used this App for years (possibly since it was first offered) and like it very much. I have paid for the upgrade version TWICE – the second time because my original purchase was not recognized. Now I find this has happened again and I am not willing to pay a third time. I have searched for a Contact email but there is none, consequently no way to contact the developer/publisher to resolve this problem. I am quite disappointed. Supplying no method to resolve problems via a Contact number or the developer’s email address indicates a certain deliberate cutting off of the natural receptive Flow – a cynicism, so contrary to the ethos and philosophy of the I Ching. In life the open flow of communication between parties is everything.

It’s changing my life!. First, there are no issues with this app. 2nd, i never rate apps unless I’m given something for it. With that said, using this app often has given me tremendous peace and really helps put my ego to rest. Every time I use it, I learn so much about me and what i need to change or improve in myself to reduce stress and anxiety and improve my relationships at work and home. Thank you so much for making it easy to review these wonderful teachings that everyone should be taught.

Thoughtful, deep Taoism. Great app! Very helpful and wise reminders to stay on the path of goodness. I wish they would hand it out in prisons. Poor people have to try so much harder than the privileged.

Brings peace and reflection. But needs legible font!. This simple but effective app has a powerful calming influence on me when I need guidance. The value of the source material is undeniable; the ease of use and journaling feature make this an essential app for me.

App crashes. The app no longer works on iPad. Support has not s we’re several people regarding this issue for over 2 weeks

Credibility Intact. I tried out two other I Ching apps before landing on this one. I found the other versions to be ineffective and scattered, whereas this one works and provides consistent clarity.

Beautiful & Accurate. A true gift. For a moment of clarity and also to be reminded of greater life lessons.

Translation that makes sense. The i ching was first translated by a German. The ancient Chinese text is very ambiguous and speaks in a way using terms we would call obsolete today, it's quite hard to decipher in English but this version by Mr Browne does the job.

Good app, you do have to pay for it. Basically a well-put-together app, easy to use and the text is straightforward and easy to understand with solid advice. You don't get the actual book text with the free version, if you want to really use this app you have to pay for the full version.

Daily Routine. Gets my mind right daily. Highly recommend

Been using it faithfully for five years.. Highly recommended. If you focus your thoughts before asking a question, you'll receive highly accurate readings. 5-stars after all this time. I guide my life and my spiritual practice includes the I Ching specifically from this app...eventhough I have a bomb *asz* print version of the I Ching. If I had children this app would be something I put on their phone or tablet to walk them through tough times when I'm not around. Truth.

Pretty good. Well done, except, to be a complete Yi Ching for people, it needs a way of titling the journal entries for easy review of past entries. As it is, date and hexagram number are the only title and that makes it hard to find the entry you want when you’re looking back a long way.

Just like the book. My Grandmother taught me how to “throw” I Ching when I was a boy. From the Star I felt it’s power and learned from it. I don’t know if there are any books more “true” than the I Ching and this app somehow harnesses the same energy and power as throwing the physical coins at home. Thank you for making this.

Why were features removed?. This used to be a 5 star app with full I Ching text. As of august 2021, there is no text except a few lines. This is almost useless now without purchasing the text. The app description still says you get to see the full text, but that is false. Bait and switch. Don’t waste your time.

Great App. Really love the simple and meaningful way this is presented. Considering buying full version but there is no mention of what you get extra in the full version?

Good app except for font size. Great app, nicely presented, including the ability to only show the relevant parts of the hexagram readings as required. However, the font size is quite small and is pretty difficult to read for people with vision issues and there seems to be no option to change this. I tried to find an email address to enquire about font size but the App Support button takes you to a website without any obvious email addresses. Maybe the font size issue can be fixed in a later version...?

A great rendition on iChing....!. A beautiful and simple presentation of a timeless classic. Things I like: - subtle and adjustable backgrounds - email text of reading - direct, simple translation with feeling - option for automated coins or your own coins Essentially iChing is so great that the it hard to imagine how it can be put into an iPad app. In this case the designers have done an excellent job and created a good experience. Enjoy.

Handy. A well-rounded compilation of texts without being too wordy. It helps give life direction and makes decisions clearer.

It has changed me. The translation is modern and very intelligible. The I Ching is a beneficial spiritual practice even for a hyper-rational person. It works to any level of faith, right down to belief in randomness and multiplicity. If practiced regularly, it can change your life profoundly. I have used it for a year and no longer have suicidal feelings. You can depend on it to transform your habits and reactions so that you become wiser and more fulfilled.

I Ching Book of Changes. I Ching, insightful and timeless advice. It's a great app, gives one pause and perspective. Reminds us to go with our best Self, to adhere to Superior influences.

New font is hard to read. The app is good, but the latest update which introduced a new font made something that was beautiful ugly and not functional. You have to look twice against the background to check which number it displays. With the previous font I would have given it 5 stars. With this horrible font only 3 stars. Suggest going back to previous font.

Wow. When I consult it hits my issues perfectly every time, I'm blown away. I've tried many ichings, tarots, etc... And I'm always left feeling confused or unsure. This one gets to the heart of the matter each time and helps me move past it. Great app, great job to the developers.

Very Good. Really like this for when I'm not near my hard copy workbook. Quite like the interpretations.

It Works. This is a light app. And as such one must expect from it a partial feature set. Still, the interface sports auspicious looking graphics, and I've found that the app will always give you at least one full-length reading. I usually ask the I Ching "what is the nature of my interaction with the world this day" ... and then I resolve to follow the guidance. I've received such pertinent advice. Use this with intention, and follow its advice.

Wise advice. Any random passage from this book applied to any situation yields a fresh personal and generally sound advice. Find it useful for any moment where I am stressed and bleating, “what do I do now?”

Excellent I Ching. I've owned and cherished the paperback version of this I Ching for years so was interested to see how the app would compare. It did not disappoint. True to the paperback version, this app has the additional features of being able to select the background from several nice choices and an option to save readings. Worth every penny. This is a wonderful app. It is very beautiful and the descriptions are easy to understand and so very true. In my opinion a must have for everyone that works with the I Ching. I have one problem though with the app, which does not keep me from using it, I can't review my journal entries. The app keeps crashing. Any suggestions?

I Ching (Brian Walker). The September 2015 upgrade is great. The previous navigation was clumsy and tedious. The new one is simple and satisfying. I have updated all my Apple devices with it. The Brian Walker version of the I Ching is in my view the only acceptable mobile alternative to the classic Richard Wilhelm version.

Functional. I'm only writing this because the app started asking me to rate it immediately, even though I just started using it and haven't formed an opinion. So far it seems to do what it is supposed to do.

Wonderful. I LOVE this APP! I have been using - and will continue to do so - my actual Chinese coins for several years and this app is such a great complimentary tool for when I am at work or otherwise not in a position to do a "full" reading using my coins and my six other paper book interpretations! None. This app is incredible. It just amazed me how every time I used it, the reading it gave me actually fit the question. I was skeptical at first believing that the advice on each of the numbers was good advice anyway, I decided I would play with it. However when I started asking questions and going over my reading for each, I was amazed at how each of my readings was so accurately answered. It wasn't as if any general answer would fit any question, the answers actually fit the questions like a glove. It really is amazing.

Good App, false marketing. I'm enjoying this app as I have been looking for an I Ching program to replace one that I had on an old PC years ago. It works well and I find it valuable. For me it was worth it. But I am deducting 2 stars because a) this app claimed to be "free" but only gives you 1& 1/2 readings before it prompts you to purchase it and b) at $4.99 it is very expensive for an app. Good job by the programmer but the Marketer should be ashamed.

Nice intro to an uncanny rorschach test. The free version had just enough to pique my curiosity & the full version has not disappointed. Having seen shelves full of books of translations / explications, this is certainly only meant as an on-the-go primer, & as such, it's just fine. The journal feature has been helpful for testing it & also for improving my own approach to it. Still, though, while its certainly a clear & concise summation, something seems to be missing in terms of the traditional metaphoric imagery of the elements; although I suppose that's why there are so many book versions of the yijing. Overall quite a useful & handy intro on-the-go.

perfect app. elegant design which focuses on the attractive, simple presentation of one of the great works of spiritual literature. the 'game' of I Ching allows the user to interface with this beautifully translated wisdom in an engaging way which can serve as a focal point for a meditation practice or just a daily reminder to try to live your life in a balanced, thoughtful manner.

Beautifully distilled translation. Thoughtful interface.. This is a well-designed adaptation of the I Ching to app form. The coin oracle works flawlessly, and the journal is helpful and easy to use. The translation is not the familiar one with all the extended commentaries, but seems designed to make possible the clear direct and thoughtful application of wisdom of the I Ching to daily life. New to Iching. I recently learned of I Ching this past Sat. I had a reading done in Mystic Journey Bookstore in Venice,CA and it was so right on point that I feel in love on the spot. I was looking for a love horoscope app and found this one. I believe in Devine intervention. I was meant to walk into that book store Sat. And also to find this app. Cause it's right on target too! I will be purchasing the full app.

Inconsistent reading. I’m unsure why I get incomplete and inconsistent readings. When I first downloaded this App I would Be able to read a full report. Now it’s incomplete every time.

Wasted $6. I purchased the full version and still have no access to most of the hexagrams. I hope they fix this

A Conversation With The Sage. When I first looked into this app I was concerned it might be somewhat gimmicky and irreverent. To my great pleasure I found that nothing could be further from the case. This is a very good app very well done, respectful of the great work it represents and very useful. The simplified mode rendering a hexagram gives the quality of a conversation to the experience rather than a divination ritual. This has really enhanced my experience with the I Ching and brought it's guidance much closer to home. I am very grateful.

Have done every day for 25 years. This version of the i-ching is my absolute favorite. The language is modern and makes clear sense for english sensibilities. Started with the book. Was absolutely delighted to find the app! Bought the full version and feel it is worth every penny. Doing this particular i-ching every morning centers me, encourages me to be my best self, helps me in conflicts, tunes me into self direction when I feel lost. This book literally has helped my better my life!

Free Version Review. This review is for the free version of Brian Browne Walker's I Ching app. Every once in a while we’re privileged to experience a text which can have a direct and palpable influence on our everyday lives. It’s useful to remember these moments, because even in isolation they form a sort of road map to our individual development. The beauty of the I Ching is that it makes no claims to predict future events, or to understand the intricacies of its users lives. It simply makes the (correct) assumption that all of us face a constant barrage of positive and negative influences, from inside as well as outside, on a daily basis. Armed with this assumption, it presents a piece of advice, chosen from a philosophy based on modesty, correctness, acceptance, and other values. Having tried many versions of the I Ching, Brian Browne Walker's is easily my favorite and the one I recommend to anyone who is interested. The free version lack only a few readings, and is otherwise exactly like the full version (which I also recommend.) If the above interests you, there is no reason not to try this app.

Easy to use, insightful. I can't remember if I purchased this or not, but this app is worth paying for. The journal feature works well to take notes, or as I do cut and paste highlights of the reading to revisit. Well written translation. Always good advice to consider.

My Book to go.... This is an amazing app. Having been given the book in '07, I've consulted it for all matter of life's challenges. I have given it as gifts and Brian Browne Walker's easy to understand interpretations are superior to most other similar books. Now, I no longer have to point my friends to my advice or copy/paste my readings...goodbye also to my legal pad of entries and heeded advisories. This is great and my thanks sincere. Wonderful App!. I love this app! It holds amazing wisdom and is so user-friendly. I use it on my iPad and have not had any problems with it freezing or crashing. So glad I have this app! Upgrades a downgrade. Though it's still got the same solidly written content, the recent upgrades have made using it clunkier. Somehow the results of tapping the coins seem less random than before, and moving around the app from journal to new hex and back makes less sense and takes additional clicks. Wish they'd let it be. That being said, the journal feature is still great, the content can still serve as the basis of some truly meaningful reflection, and it's just fun to read.

It's as right on as you are free from your desired outcome. I Ching is the best oracle I have ever used. Important to relax, clear your mind, breathe, think of being embraced Buy a white protecting light and feeling your feet be grounded deeply in the earth. Then just think if your question and ask. Just be prepared for your answers. Always something to learn

Perfectly attuned to my question and related issues. This is proof of a bigger reality, more solid than anything I've ever experienced. This is validation of me by an external inanimate device, and living evidence of a higher power.

Brilliant.. This is a brilliant app with an authentic introduction to the IChing. This oracle has not given any unreasonable or incorrect advice yet. It provides a balance to the yin and yang of everyday/workaday life. This perspective allows one to receive advice from an "objective" source that has no egoistic conflicts.

This app could save your life. I've been consulting the I Ching for about 2 1/2 years. It has been invaluable to my progress towards a spiritual life. Using this app many times each day during a recent difficult period in my life helped guide me in what to do. I simply asked "what do I need to know now, Lord?", and the answers never failed to point me in the right direction. The full priced app is cheaper and more helpful than therapy and other mainstream medical treatments!🎎

This app never loads. The app never loads beyond the image of the book cover even when I tap on it.

My favorite guide. I had the book version of this app years ago and had been looking for copies to share with my family & friends. When I found the app I was thrilled. The guidance or message is always enlightening. When I read it the shift in my awareness is noticeable. I love passing this on to those who look both inside and out for guidance.

It's accurate. Consult the Oracle. Dig deeply into what it's saying at that moment. Absorb its wisdom.

Insightful. I've had this app almost two years and have used almost it daily; it offers an opportunity to ask interesting questions of ones self, make curious inquiry and reach profound realizations (both positive and negative). Even when the iching warns of disfavor, it is only to the extent I refuse to see the point.

Clear, easy text. The translations are clear and easy to understand. On point and insightful. I really like this app. Note that although the app is free it is a limited version. In order to get all of the text the is a small app fee. Well worth it!!

Perfect. If you've used this version of the I Ching book, you'll immediately see why this app is perfect. It does the legwork and cuts as quickly as possible to the advice. You consult by tapping the coins (which essentially "tosses" them), so figuring out you hexagram, which lines are changing, etc is done for you automatically. In fact, you could probably use this app without any knowledge of the I Ching and still receive its benefits.

an ancient I Ching student. This app has everything you need to know to consult the i Ching oracle. It explains the necessary basics without all the fluff ( which will become more necessary as one learns). I have been throwing the i Ching coins for more than 33 years and find this app very acceptable.

I love I Ching!. I have always loved and used the I Ching, in book form since 1971! The answers are almost always totally appropriate and insightful to my situation. Having it on the iPhone just makes it even better!

Excellent. I was unsure of whether an app could give a good I-Ching reading. I have never regretted using this app other than how I have not been receptive to it. The effectiveness and clarity it provides are ongoing and highly useful.

Best Digital I Ching I've Used. have used wilhelm translation for 40 years, tried every digital attempt since the 90's. this is a good translation; bit heavy on the Higher Power bit but that's ok. easier use of journal since earlier version.

Simple in a good way. I Love how simple this app is! My favorite feature is that it lets you save the entry into a journal that it logs for you and you can even add your own notes about that entry. It is even Visually appealing. There is an option to use Your own coins instead of the virtual coins in the app. All in all a great app!
