Updated Rap Video. For any of you who, like me, go to All Versions and search Most Critical reviews you'll read that the rap video is inappropriate. Rest assured that that video has now, apparently, been updated to kids on the playground rapping about hair. Great looking App!

SLP. I love this app. I have never heard of some of the instruments. This is a way to broaden your knowledge of musical instruments and what they sound like.

I LOVE THEM!. I LOVE THE PICTURES AND MOST OF ALL, I LOVE THAT I DID NOT KNOW MANY OF THESE INSTRUMENTS! IT IS VERY COOL!

Music, music, music!. This is fun! Some of these instruments are new to me. Having the videos with the instrument being played is great. I like having the word spelled at the bottom. So far I've only been able to tap one letter in a word to hear it; the next letter I tap goes to the next instrument. Thanks again for a sweet little app.

Music App. This app gets a 5 star from me. I will use this app above all others.

Great app,. My son has autism, the minute he started using this app he just loved it. He loves all the instruments the pictures are great and so are the movies

Tons of unusual instruments!. My 6-year-old and I love this app. I have never heard of some of these instruments! Very cool!

Very eclectic!. A wonderful app for learning about music from around the world! The only reason I am withholding a star is because I ran into a couple of inaccuracies.

Objectionable Content! Beware!. I downloaded this app for my 4 yr old and quickly deleted it. Most of the instruments were fine until he got to "rap". The video that came with that segment showed a guy rapping about sex and his girlfriend being gay. Furthermore it spelled out the words for him to learn! Not exactly what I expected to be teaching my 4 yr old today! It's inexcusable to market this app to kids and include that kind of crap for preschoolers!

It's really good!. I and my kid learn some instruments from this app. Thanks:-D

Music. Like the concept, but it has its limitations. A good intro to the different types of music. Some improvements add still needed.

Fantastic app. Great app! I love the varied and unique instruments. what a great teaching tool.

Looks good but barely functioning. Content looks promising, but every embedded YouTube video screws up during playback. Have to reopen the app basically every time we look at a new page. The videos play out in their entirety, but at maybe one square inch. After the video ends, app gets stuck looking at the pop up window.

music. I do so much work with auditory processing and love to keep it interesting. This is working for me!!

Love this app!. I absolutely love this app! I like having entertaining educational apps on hand for times when we get stuck in a waiting room and for long car trips. This one is fantastic - I was so thrilled with it that I immediately returned to the app store to get the other two Mini Adventures apps.

Good app. Good app with multiple uses.

One of the rap videos is NOT suitable for kids! FAIL!. I am a school music teacher, with students ranging from PK3 to 8th grade. I strongly suggest you do not buy this app until some important changes are made. The most urgent issue, as another reviewer pointed out, is that ONE OF THE VIDEOS DEMONSTRATING "RAP" CONTAINS LYRICS ABOUT SEX AND SEXUALITY. This app is clearly targeted at young kids. How could the creators of it be so careless? Also: • "Reggae" is not pronounced "ray-gay"; it is "reh-gay". • "Viola" is almost never pronounced with a long 'I" as in "wide"; it is nearly always "vee-ola". • The picture labeled "vibraphones" is in a fact a picture of a marimba, and anyway the name of the instrument is "vibraphone", with no "s". In the jazz lexicon the instrument is "vibes". • The picture of the yueqin on the main page does not open up to a larger picture I only bother to mention these issues because this app is actually much nicer in various ways than the other "discover instruments" apps, but until these issues are fixed I strongly suggest that you introduce your child to the world of musical instruments another way. I also hope that they add a lot more content, as there are so many other instruments and musical styles that deserve to be included! How about synthesizer, meringue, heavy metal, cajon, crumhorn, tubular bells, march, waltz, or timpani, to name a few?

Just downloaded and already in love!. Found this for my teen with autism and it is suitable and very beautiful. I also love the included videos, especially those for rap, r and b, and soul, makes us feel acknowledged. That is very important to me as some apps are not inclusive and I like for my kid to be able to relate with the materials I choose.

Many inaccuracies and even inappropriate pictures/videos. I love the concept of this app and I would love to use it with my students and in my music therapy practice, but I would not use it for a few reasons: there are many inaccuracies in 1)pronunciation of instrument names 2) pictures that do not match instruments 3) inappropriate pictures (the boobs in one of the harp pictures...really?!) 4) pictures and videos that do not represent the instruments/genres correctly. Also, some of the letters and cards do not work (like y) With some serious clean up this would be a fantastic app

Love the instruments. Thanks again for a great vocabulary builder. Love the multiple examples and videos. My students love some of the songs and choose it as a reward for a break.

Great app!. I love that there are multiple photos for each instruments. The videos are a great accompaniment. Great way to learn about the many musical instruments. I can't wait for the next mini adventure.

Beautiful and entertaining. I really like this app it is very easy for babies and toddlers yet also entertaining for an adult

Wish. Wish I could use this at school but we can't get on U-Tube, so students don't get to hear the instruments.

Mini adventures world of music. Mila, In trying out this app, I keep getting stuck on NYCKELHARPA. I need to shut down the iPad. Nothing moves. Once this glitch is fixed, it is a terrific app. I love introducing so many varieties of instruments. Sounds are wonderful. Yolanda

Nice idea but some images INAPPROPRIATE. Nice idea for an app to introduce young children to the sounds that different instruments make. HOWEVER some images are NOT APPROPRIATE for young children. For example, there is an image of a woman with her breasts practically hanging out while she's playing the harp. Also, some of the u-tube videos to which the app connects (to show people demonstrating their instruments - could be far more professional. For example, one is taken in a messed up bedroom which retracts from the beauty of what the musician is playing, which was actually quite good. But children really should be seeing something better as their first impression of an instrument being played. FInal advice to developers. Please review all your images to make sure they are child appropriate, and connect only to high quality profession videos, and you'll have a huge winner. Thanks.

Wicked cool app.. Wow. My daughter has disabilities and simply lives the videos. I love the choice of music and the breadth of music that is featured. Her teacher loves that they can use the iPad to quickly compare music. Well done.

Great concept videos do not work. Great concept but although I have deleted and downloaded the app twice the video examples do not work. Deflated- because no other app like this out there.
