Needs to get better for 2 1/2 year old child use. The settings button needs to be moved. My 2 1/2 year old kids hit the inadvertently setting button and are lost in the app settings. Make the app where you can hand your phone or iPad to a kid and they're able to play sounds without getting kicked out of the app. Also with the recommended apps. Move it from the fun. Otherwise, I need to fix the game every minute or so due to mis-selected options.

Was great but stopped working. Sounds and pictures are great and interesting to my one year old. Disappointed that the app suddenly quit working completely. Re-downloaded to get it back from the cloud and of course the in-app purchase of unlocking the rest of the cards was gone. Continues to stop working. Hard restarts and exiting out of the app don't help, only deleting and re-installing.

Fun for kids. I ended up spending the extra buck to get all of the sound cards. My one-year-old loves it-- easy for her to use (while supervised). Streamlined and clear photos and sound. Pretty neat.

Keep having to pay.... The app itself is great, but they're practices with payment are shady. My toddler really likes this app, but accidentally deleted it from the phone. When I went to reinstall it, all the paid animals were locked again. The paid sections also did not unlock on my husband's iPhone, even though other apps do.

Great fun even for under a year old!. My 11month old grand daughter is mesmerized by all the animal sounds. She even swipes to get the animal to do the second sound! This is a "go to" when she is getting bored. Give it a try. It's a fun interactive game.

Meh. Downloaded the free version, only to find that the majority of the animals and additional features like shuffle are not free. Kind of misleading. I also find it annoying that there are ads disguised as icons in the list of animal icons available for my kids to select.

Not mistake-proof for younger toddlers.. My 17 month-old really likes this game, since she's really fascinated by animals right now. However, this game doesn't have any safeguards against accidental key-presses, which can make it frustrating for younger toddlers whose fine-motor skills aren't well-developed enough for them to tap the icons and swipe the pages accurately each time. As a result, my daughter usually ends up crying for me to help her with this game because she either can't press the the thumbnail picture of the animal that she wants, or she's accidentally hit the "Settings" or "More Apps" icon and navigated away from the pictures. The software developer should move the settings and app purchase features to a separate menu that's difficult for little fingers to access. That would make it much more user-friendly for younger toddlers.

Good but deceptive. This App allows you access to about 20 animals initially. Then, you have to pay an additional $.99 to unlock the remaining App. All in all, it's a good purchase but they should give you full disclosure at the time of purchase. Just purchased it and need time to further explore the benefits.

Love this app. This has been a great app. I have been using it with therapy to get kids to be able to identify animals by there sounds. I would love to be able to use it in a sound lottery game for kids as well. I would also love to have an app that are everyday sounds like things that are around the community that a kid might hear, police, children playing, cat, lawn mower, water, etc. Great app though.

If only the features all worked. My son loves this app! He loves making them change and hearing all the animal noises with pictures. I even bought the extra cards so he would have more. I love that you can customize the cards and add your own (there are a bunch I would love to add) but that feature NEVER works. There also haven't been any updates since 2011 to fix any bugs so no hope there. If all the features actually worked it would be the perfect app.

Highly Recommended. Downloaded this as a free app. After 2 months of constant use by my 14 month old we had to buy the full version. We LOVE the pictures and sounds. Going to the zoo is going to be so much fun! Buy it. You won't regret it.

Love it!!!. My 25 month old son loves this app! As he does all of the alligator apps, he has learned about half...maybe more of the animals! In the short time since I downloaded the app, I really can't say enough! I also was just reading the the flash cards are customizable, which is great to teach kids family members and more family things and people in their life! Thank you alligator apps!!!

Love it - wish icons could be bigger. I would happily give 4 stars if you could choose icon size. These are a tiny bit too small for my toddler (on an iPhone) and she would be able to see more readily if I could make them bigger. But she adores this app! Thanks!

Great App!. You can easily add your own pictures, name them and record a sound in your own foreign language! Great for families speaking more than one language at home;)

Great app. I downloaded the free app and then ended up purchasing it so I could have all the animals. What I like the most is that it offers two clear pictures of the animals and all of them have sounds. My 2 yr old loves this app compared to others. Also I clicked on the little stars to the right corner of each picture and will send all pictures to the favorite icon. That in return will show all pictures in a slide without having to go to the main menu. Highly recommended!

Love it. My daughter loves this app she plays with it all the time. It's cute. But my one gripe is that I bought the entire app and when I did. The lock buttons didn't release on either my iPhone or my other iPad. It only released the animals on my iPad I bought it on. I refuse to pay anymore.

my Grandson LOVES this App!. Since h e was six months old he has absolutely loved to play with this app. At first he'd just hit the iPad with his hands and be rewarded with an animal picture and sound. Now, a year later, he can pick a picture for any of the animals when asked and asks to play the "iPad" whenever he sees me. This is one of the best teaching tools for toddlers that I've ever seen. Highly recommended for anyone who knows a baby or toddler and wants to play an educational game with them. I wish they had more animals, or add-ons for the game, but they've really hit on a winning app for the very youngest app users.

Great!. My 2 year old loves this app. She loves seeing the animal pics and listening to the noise they make. What would make this app perfect is if the name of the animal was said, too, for the little ones who can't read yet. :)

They keep getting better. I discovered alligator apps and now am addicted to them for both my early intervention kids and my developmentally challenged adults. The pictures are beautiful and engaging (visual stimuli) and the voice is clear (auditory cues). I love them!

Not too happy... Rip off. My son absolutely loves this app but he's only 21 months and easily gets bored with the 10 or so cards they give so I went ahead and purchased the remaining cards thinking this was a great way to learn. First they too a $1 out of my account immediately (not the $.99) which is no big deal it's a penny but I thought it was odd. Then the cards never unlocked. I closed out the app and reopened it. Checked my App Store for downloads and even restarted my phone and they're just not here. I will probably just find a different app.

My kid loves this.... She will play for a while. This app seems to help her recognize animals and their sounds. I think the could have done a little better with sounds animals actually make. For example the horse sounds like it is grunting.

No sound. No sound

Wish it worked. My little one LOVES this app, but unfortunately it just stops working. The only way to get it to work again is to delete and re-download. The big catch here is that you lose your in app purchases. I have actually repurchased this more than once, but I just can't do it again since apparently the issue is not going to be resolved. It is a big disappointment. :(

Not worth it. Too many bugs. Not what I expected. The brown background disappears and comes back periodically without reason. It functions fine when this happens but is very difficult to read the screen. The games do not work at all with this app. There is a place in the settings to switch to game mode. You cam choose pick 4 words to identify, pick 4 words to read, 6 words to identify, etc. But no matter which you choose, once you go to play the game it just brings you to the edit section for a card even tho you are in game mode. It also will not read the cards to you at all. What good is a word game for kids of it won't read the word at least as an option? Not worth my time or money unless they make these changes. If I could give it no stars I would.

make it stop!. this app is 5+ stars for my 1 year old - but I am no longer able to use my phone because she always wants it!!!

Great For Kids!. Two sounds and two flashcard pictures per animal. Decent sound quality. Recommended.

1 yr old luvs. My daughter is 16 months and loves animals. I like that the picture are real animals not cartoons. A couple of animals are unique and a few sounds I wouldn't have personally chose but my daughter is very entertained. Great for lil ones who want to constantly tap the screen. I went ahead & bought the full version. Great entertainment for .99!

Worst service experienced. I had purchased the full version, but after the update everything has disappered . Been a week of highlighting the problem but the customer is too busy to revert! Will never recommend to purchase!

Super awesome fun time!. My toddler loves this app! I've downloaded several other apps and this is the only one she asks for. It's totally worth it to buy the extra animals.

Good, not perfect.. I bought the full app. Would have liked more animals for the paid version. Some of the animals could make more realistic sounds. At the end of the List of animals are suggestions for other aps or something and y little guy hits them an accident and it takes him to a purchase page and halts his game.

Well worth the price!. At first we downloaded the free version. It was such a hit with our 12mo old we decided it was worth the $0.99 to buy the full version. Our daughter loves animals and this keeps her entertained while we're out! She loves looking at all the pictures and hearing the animal sounds. I do have to help her, but I expected that.

Weird choice in noises made by animals. I was looking for a soundboard of animal noises for my preschool class and found this. It worked for what I needed it for but find little use for it otherwise. What really set the app back was the horse noises were not anything like a horse it was pretty much heavy breathing and there was no nay which is a problem when I have s class full of horse- loving kids. If it was a simple snort and a nay, i'd like it more and goes for a lot of the other sounds as well.

Bigger pictures please. I wish the pictures when selecting the animals were a little bigger, it seems like there's more room or put less on a page. Other than that I think it's a cute app for our toddler.

Toddler loves it. My 2 year old loves this app. She gets entertained listening to the animal sounds. I like the quality of the pictures and the sound, has many animals so they will not get bored.

Great app. My daughter loved playing with it; she loves the photos of the animals and hearing their sounds, but when I tried the "upsell" the app froze. Hopefully this will be fixed soon. Having all the other sounds available will make it more fun for her.

Great until IOS 8.0 came. My daughter loved this app so much that I went ahead and paid for the full version. And then the ISO upgrade. Any app I have from this company no longer works. The screen is just pretty much frozen and none of the buttons on it work. Hopefully they sort this out soon, since I had only paid for the full thing about a week or so before the update!

Ripoff. Paid for full version - app stopped working - a white square appeared and blocked access to app. After rebooting IPad it still didn't work. Deleted app and reinstalled and lost access to full app. Went to website for a fix but could not gain access to the website. Developers like this should be banned from being able list their apps!

Animal. Love the true to life pictures in their habitat. Beginning talkers love the combination animal and its voice. Would be great to be able to keep the pic and sound instead of defaulting to home page, i. e.only the one touch per each picture.

Poor update. I had the full version, and when it updated, I lost all of the animals I'd previously bought. What a ripoff!

Error. Can’t unlock animals

My twins really like it. My almost 2 twins like it enough for us to purchase the remaining locked animals. I do agree the sounds on some are odd choices. If I am playing with the kids and my husband is nearby, he can hardly guess the animals. Also, my kids are terrified of the seal. They actually will take off running. Which makes me laugh and I am sure is only my kids.

Please fix a few sounds. My daughter loves this app but I am bothered by a few of the sounds. Maybe I am too picky but a few of the sounds do not match their picture. For example, not all owls make the same sound. The first owl pic is a barn owl, but the sound is that of a great horned owl. The frog sound matches the first pic but not the second. I love that there are real pictures and sounds but please make them match correctly. Also, please revise the horse sound.

Used to be good. This app is one of my daughter's favorites, but the most recent version is full of bugs! I bought the full version on my iPad and it works great, all animals are unlocked, doesn't freeze, etc. I downloaded the same app on my husband's iPad and it will not sync to my app purchase to open the full version. I was going to just bite the bullet and pay the 99c again, but it keeps freezing whenever I try to buy it and sometimes the unlocked ones in the free version won't even play sound. This is a great app, fix it!! Also, it would be nice if the slides said the actual animal name, not just the sound.

Almost Perfect. I've been looking for a app like this. I LOVE that you can make custom sounds & pictures. I'm using this app to teach my niece her tribal language. I would have given this app 5 stars but it sometimes erases my custom recorded sound & changes it back to the original pre-recorded sound. Fix that issue & it would definitely a 5 star app!

Needs updating. Used to be toddlers favorite app. Well worth the $0.99 to unlock. It needs to be updated, it no longer allows to add sound and pictures to your own flash cards :(

My son's Favorite!!!!. This is a GREAT app! Perfect learning tool to use between parent and child. This is Not a "zone out" game! Certainly worth the .99 to upgrade to the full version. The pictures are great the sounds are great. I really like how I can customize everything from manual selection to automatic scrolling. My 1+ year old loves this and I appreciate being able to sit with him and read the words to him. It's a great way to interact with your child!

Cute animals. I love the beautiful pictures and the sounds are clear. I just wish there were more variety in the free deck of cards. There are so many birds, and my son is too young to care much beyond the difference of a wild bird or a chicken!

Sound. No sound !!

Good app. Nice variety of animals. I wish some of the sounds were better; for example, some of the animals' two noises sound like they are just repeated (like Eagle), and some sounds (like Horse) are not the most recognizable choice for that animal.

Good app .... But.... Pretty good app, but, come on some sounds are pretty ordinary. How about a horse that neighs or a lion that roars? ... A few updated sounds will make this great.

Good app. My 18 month old loves it & so do I! Perfect for when you need a quick distraction, I just wish you could lock the home key!

Sound is not consistent. I seriously do not understand this app. Sometimes the sound works, and sometimes it doesn't. I have gone into the settings a million times to see if the sound has been turned off – but it hasn't. There is no rhyme or reason as to when the sound works and doesn't work.

Crashed. Crashed after 5 days. Had to delete and reinstall. Works but they want another .99 cents to unlock all the animal sounds. Ugggg

A fun app for toddlers. My 19-month-old loves this app. I love the ability to customize and re-order flashcards, and that the pictures and sounds are real and not caricaturish cartoons. I instantly felt it was worth the upgrade. I've made flashcards for our pets, favorite foods and our out-of-town relatives. The name is a misnomer because the flashcards are not just for animals! I do have a few wish-list items that would bump it up to a solid 5-star app. First, a voice saying the name of each animal would be nice for non-readers. Second, when making one's own flashcard, the thumbnail image only allows selection of photos from the Camera Roll and not the entire photo gallery on the phone (oddly, flashcard pictures can select from the whole gallery). Third (minor), the icon is a little bland compared to other preschool apps. Fourth, I'd love a preschool/slideshow mode where a toddler can't press the settings or info key.

NOT FREE!. Don't be fooled, the app only works once. After that you can't use any cards or sounds, only brings up an upsell window to pay for the app. Underhanded and misleading.

Make sure your ringer is on.. I tried and tried to get the sounds to work, even writing a bad review about how they don’t—until I finally realized that unlike podcasts and other audio, your ringer has to be turned on for them to work. So I changed my review.

Great. Had it awhile and just learned i can add more! Although how do I record a zebra?!?! LOL Wish it had MORE animals. Tweaked 'cat' to have our own kitties as the pictures. Wish the new ones you make had the same 'polaroid' look as the defaults.

Grandkids liked it. They loved hearing the sounds and also were introduced to animals they hadn't heard of before (hyena).

Sounds are poop. It's a great app but the sounds of the animals are like if they were found on the internet. And the guy called UmmHanifah: it's obvious that you are somehow in relation with creators, you say too much for nothing

Locked items won't open!!!. Nothing worse than showing a toddler animal sounds and then the next one won't open because it's locked?!!! And the so called three finger tap doesn't work!!! Can't open settings, because of the so called three finger tap!!! Very disappointing and worse for a toddler

Best app I have bought so far. This is the best app I have purchased. You can edit the cards to any language you want. Two photos for each card. Changing the order. The perfect app for teaching animals to your child. It is a huge hit with my daughter! I bought the full program. I saw some cheapskate complaining about upsell. A buck?! Like get a life.

Nice app. Our toddler likes this app, so we bought the additional animal sounds. Nice photos and animal sounds, and has helped him learn a wide variety of animal noises.

Not toddler friendly. Buttons are too small for toddlers clicking and too many things for them to push that gets them out of the app and onto the Internet. Not enough options unless u purchase-- not worth it.

Our favorite. This app is wonderful. My 3 yr old and 18 mos old LOVE it! Keeps them entertained in restaurants and dr's office waiting rooms. ;) They're always asking to play with it.

Please put a real horse sound!!. My daughter loves animal sounds. She especially loves horses. I paid for the app just to get the horse sound. It STINKS!!! Please put a real horse sound on the app and not just of the horse breathing. The other animal sounds are great.

Would be better if. My son loves animals and enjoys this app. But it would be great if the name of the animals were said aloud so he can relate the name with the picture and sound. Hope to get that in an update soon.

Great app. What a great app for kids to learn about different animals. The photos are great and it's good to get two pics of each animal to see variations.

19 month old fan. My (now) 19 month old lives for this app. I love hearing him recite all of the animals -- even if he mixes up the bird breeds.

Nice!. Interesting and realistic noises. Some are strange but interesting. My son loves it. We had it since he was 12 months and now at almost 2 years old he still enjoys it.

Animal sounds. Love this app- keeps my 2-YR old entertained anywhere. Sounds are realistic not cartoon-y and there are 2 per animal so you can hear the differences. Good use of $.99!!

Should be better. It's good but does not come through with the animal sounds. They sound canned and recorded by a computer mic. Good interface, but should be a bit easier to move to other animal sounds.

Stopped making sounds, bummer.. The sound worked for the first few uses but for the last dozen times I've opened it there are no sounds. Yes, I checked, sounds are turned on within the app and my sounds work in all other apps.

Freezes and re-locks. Not to happy. Toddler loved it so went ahead and bought the rest of animals. It kept randomly re-locking all the animals (permanently locked up now) and freezing completely. Deleting as soon as I finish typing this.....

Used to be great. This app used to be great for my toddler. However with the recent changes it has several bugs, including a white box that pop ups and doesn't let you do anything. And I bought the full version.

Fix the Restore Purchases.... For the love of God! I have uninstalled and reinstalled this app no less than 30 times when for no reason whatsoever the purchased cards "lock up" again and I have to try to purchase again and the app locks up. Fix this PLEASE for the sake of my sanity. :(

Add voice?. Nice but would be better if each card had the setting where the animal word was spoken. Simple text?

Good app!. 13 mth twins love this app. Wish you didn't have to pay a dollar to access all of them. An that they had cartoon pic of the animal also. But they are loving learning the animals!!

KEEPS SCREWING UP. My son loves this app but I'm starting to really hate it. Just as he starts playing with it sometimes MOST OF THE TIME it freezes up and I thought maybe purchasing it would make it stop but NOPE!! So I have to constantly delete it then re download it annoying!

Great app for babies and toddlers. Both my son and daughter 1.5 and 4.5 love this app. I just wish when you touched the word of the animal that it would say the actual animal.

Paid for the full version. I paid for the full version of this app. It stopped working so I deleted it then re-downloaded it and now it says I have to pay to buy the full version again! I'm not happy!!! I need a refund or a way to download the full version without paying again!!!

Sound issue??. My toddler loves this app and asks for it often. However, up until recently, the sound no longer works on it. The volume is turned on within the app and is on a loud setting on the iPad...what's the deal?

Great app. This app is great for kids to learn animal sounds and animal names. My daughter loves it. Every time she sees my phone she asks me for animals. Need more animals though.

Freezes up. If your kid touches one of the MANY animals showing a "lock", then it goes directly to the IN APP PURCHASE screen. I have that feature disabled which the program did not like. So, I was forced to hard reboot iPad. Unless you intend to purchase everything, DON'T BUY Tom
