Amazing game. Okay, maybe $ 2.99 was a little overkill considering this took me a couple of hours to beat (please add about triple the levels to keep us going), but other than that, I have never seen anything like this game. The push controls are easy and really give the reaction of one hell of a powerful rear-wheel drive car, the display and animation are as good as it gets, and, most of all, the gameplay is indescribably fun. Bashing the traffic and suspects to bits is the most fun I ever had in a top-down view driving game.

Best game ever. This is the best game in the world I play all the time if you are reading this before you get the game you will really like it it also deserves a award.

Please Update!. I got this game yesterday, and I just completely beat it today. It is an awesome game, but I'm a little disappointed now that there is nothing else to do but replay levels. Not only that, but all except for the last few levels are at all challenging with the vehicles unlocked. What would be awesome are new levels, maybe, and a multiplayer function. Actually, just any update at all would be great, because the last one was about a year and a half ago. This is a great game, but now, it just needs an update. Thanks for making such an awesome game, but please update!

One of the best, a must get.. This game has proven to be fun and yet challenging. With 30+ challenges and mini games, and all the different cars to unlock, I couldn't stop playing the game and tried to beat my own score and successfully get 5 stars in every challenge except the last one. The game does try too hard to be challenging with all the cars that randomly stop in the middle of the street, it's a bit annoying but not enough to make me rage quit after my infinite quest to get 5 stars in all the challenges. It's just a hell of a game.

Great app almost perfect!. I have dreamed about this kind of app. Recreating awesome police chases like in real life! Now that I have checked off that goal in life, I do have one complaint. I use the joystick option instead of the finger behind the car. When the game starts (the actual mission) it says touch the screen. I touch the joystick, but I have to double tap the stick to get moving. Can get frustrating. Other than that the game is A-OK! Perfect graphics, gameplay, and cars! ACTION!

Awesome game. Love the game but I remember once the game was free but I would buy it at any price.

Hard to control!. Game is super hard to control. Only 2 options to steer and both are horrible. One way is a joy stick - which is non responsive and you find yourself stopping in the middle of a chase. Normally joy stick controls are good, but not on this game. The other way to steer the car is with the finger steer - which is also horrible. You need to have your finger smack dead in the center of the screen....? Horrible. How are you suppose to see the car and action? What they need to do us update this to either a gyro control or add in a fixed steering wheel on lower left with gas pedal on right lower side of screen. Horrible controls

Good game but.... I really enjoy the game but I have one issue and one wish. My issue is that I barely know where i'm going. The game would be much better if the viewing angle showed me a bit more of what's in front of me, also that the camera sticks to facing the direction the car is facing. Iv'e missed too many head on collisions because i couldn't react in time. A mini-map would be really nice as well. Now My wish is like what others said, to have a free play mode, and of course the more levels, the better. If you guys just fix the camera angle and mini map, i'll give 5 stars. Thanks!

Simple. A fun and simple game to understand and kill some time on.

2 less for crashes. This would get four stars but it keeps crashing. It might just be iOS 5, but I don't care. Until there are no more crashes and I can play level seventeen, you only get 3 stars. Thank You! P.S. to all those who are complaining it is too hard to play without unlocks, you are wrong. Try playing with the joystick instead of the other option that is default. If necessary go buy a fling at target. Flings work for any game with a joystick so it is a versatile tool. Essentially it is an actual joystick that suction cups onto your iPad/ iPhone (fling mini for iPhone). I am not a promoter, just a happy customer. If this doesn't work, you are just a glass half empty person who is terrible at gaming. I, for one, haven't used a single one of my 4 FREE super cops that you earn by completing challenges.

Fun for 1.99 or less. This game was pretty fun. However I completed the game very fast. I don't think its worth the current 3$ tag. The control gets a little hard if your fingers get sweaty, but I have a stylus which helps. Its super fun to drive around though. I wish they would add a level where you just drive around the city as drifting can be fun. I would only recommend purchasing this if you like spending too much on games OR if they add more levels. There is also an option to buy 3 RED cars which are stronger faster etc… However, you just have to complete a challenge level to unlock a red car. Don't get tricked into buying extra items you don't need!

Meh, it's alright. Graphics are great. Controls are unique. Never controlled a game like that. My problem is two fold. First, the levels are too short. Think Taxi Cab Driver, but with missions lasting 30 seconds. Playing then stopping, playing then stopping. I felt like I was in rush hour traffic. Secondly, for $2.99 I would expect longer than 35 minutes of gameplay. My suggestion for the developer, instead of running a mission and going back to the menu for the next one, I would suggest staying in mission and having a dispatcher call out your next mission and you leave your current mission as soon as you get the call. For example, after collecting all the evidence, leave me in my car in the street and have the dispatcher tell me that there is a hold up at the diner, display the mission name and number so I know where I am in the progress, and give me the arrows to get there.

Great!. This game is so fun. I'd definitely recommend it to serious gamers like me. The graphics are stunning and the game has great concept! I have beaten every level. I just have to 5-star everything! I'm making good progress. The only thing I'd like to suggest is... Please add iCloud sync or something that enables us to retrieve our game data from another device. I have recently downloaded this game on my iPhone (I had it longer on my iPad) and I can't find a way to transfer the data from iPad to iPhone. Please make someway that lets us do that! Thank you!

Very short game. Some minor bugs. 2.5 Stars.. This game is fun, the controls are intuitive. You level up quickly and earn new cars fast. He game tries to bait you into micro transactions right from the start, but it's rather easy and you have no reason to buy the upgrades you'll earn soon. I completed all of the levels and earned all of the vehicles in less than 2 hours of game time. I never had to use the super cop feature. I was caught off guard by the congratulations message for completing all of the levels so quickly. For the price, $2.99, I was expecting something a little meatier. Granted there's still a handful of stars I could earn still, but that probably won't last another hour of game time. High production values, fun but short. Minor bugs include frame rate drops, warping suspect cars, arrests not counting in final score counts. None of those issues are game breaking, just annoying niggles. An option to flip the screen on iPhone 4 so you hand doesn't cover and mute the sound constantly would be nice as well. Verdict, wait for a sale if you can or buy now with the expectation that you finish this in a few sittings.

Hands Down. One of the best arcade iPhone games I’ve ever played.

Awesome game, but needs to support fling controllers for my 5 stars.. I love this game! It's unique, engaging, and downright fun. However, I have a serious grip with the controllers. The default setup is definitely a novel idea, and it works well. It certainly works better than the virtual joypad on its own. However, for those with a fling controller, the virtual joypad is our preferred solution. The problem is the game teases you with a virtual joypad, but the radius is so large it will not work with a fling controller. Please, please, please developers fix the secondary controller to be on scale with other top down racers such as Death Rally and Reckless Racing. Aside from the controller issue, the game is a blast.

Fun!. Update: The new levels and cars are great! Thanks for the update! I love that I can got back to improve my fastest time and search for donut pieces. One weird bug is that I don't have the "high speed pursuit" (beat 1 time) but I do have the "show em" (beat 5 times). How is that possible? Oh, and your menus are still incredibly frustrating. Previous: It’s a great game! Incredibly fun! Here’s some bug fixes to make it even better: - Sometimes there’s a pile-up, and the car I’m going after disappears and then reappears offscreen. It seems like you are doing this on purpose, but it’s very awkward and ruins the chase. - When you hit a car its health drops slowly to the new value, which means that you don’t know if you need to keep attacking or not. This really affects the Brutus. (I know that an ”arrested” message appears, but it’s not as intuitive. Especially when you’re attacking multiple cars) - The mission select buttons are flaky. Sometimes I want to change missions, and it selects the visible one. Other times I try to select a mission, and the button gets bigger but doesn't do anything. Angry Birds doesn't have this problem. - The frame rate sometimes gets really low on my iPhone 4. - It’s too short! I love the levels where cars start attacking you! How about some more of those? How about a level where everyone attacks you, and you see how long you can last? How about a property value meter that how's how much damage you've caused?

Worst game I tried. If you want to waste your money, buy this game. If I could give it less than one star, I would have done so.

Best driving game on iPad. I have tons of games but this one is by far the best. The helicopter view is awesome. Graphics awesome. Car control is a breeze and the best on I pad. I prefer the analog stick version better as a choice though. The default one is just as good but I find I have better control my way. Please make more missions soon! And add some dispatcher chatter in the background, it will really immerse everyone in a chase. Or add a new bulletin anchor or something, great job!

Five Stars. Great game. The control takes a little getting used to, but there is an alternate d-pad in settings for a more traditional set up. I got stuck for a while trying to earn enough stars for my first car upgrade, but once I got past that hurdle, the game moved pretty quickly. It would be nice to have additional levels and cars to unlock to extend the overall replay-ability of the game. Maybe in a future update. Regardless, this is a fun game well worth the download.

Hutch, I will pay any amount for more. Amazing. This game is the best on the App Store. Hands down in my opinion. Every other app can't balance simplicity and action physics this well. You have found the perfect middle ground. If you made another Smash Cops just like this but with more vehicles and levels, You would have my business. No matter what the price. Good job.

Fun and actually free. HIGHLY recommended. The tutorials are quick, simple and efficient. Controls are fun. Great mission variety as well, ranging from hot pursuit to time trials to destructive parking lot action. The best part is, it's actually free. Natural progression unlocks new levels, vehicles and even "supercop" perks. Come to think of it, I've played a decent amount of this game and I just realized I don't even know if this game has an in-game cash purchase option. If it does, brownie points for never harassing me about it.

Great Game!. I love this game. Could use a few more missions and maybe a free play mode where you drive around the city and random opponents just appear. Multiplayer would be awesome too. A co-op could work well where two players chase the same opponent. The game could keep score of who caused the most suspect, police, and civilian damage, number of smashes/arrests for each player, etc. maybe even a pursuit mode where one player gets to be the suspect. Great game and can't wait to see more!

Nostalgia. Holy crap I used to play this game when I was younger I remeber the music cars everything it’s pretty cool to see what I used to play when I was younger and this game is almost 10 yes old but the graphics look pretty good and I’m excited to revisit an old game again

Good but needs more levels soon.. Great game with awesome graphics, but needs more levels very soon. I stopped playing it and might delete it off my ipod touch because I am only playing the same levels over and over again, and right now, it only takes up space. It would be cool if there were some levels in a military base and you were the military police tracking down bad guys in the military base. Also add more cars like maybe a hummer, and a SWAT van. Also make it so you can listen to your iPod music while playing. That would be awesome.

Is a great idea, and can be greatly expanded. This is a great game, with pretty well done controls and a great idea for play. However, it has one basic problem for me. It's to short! I usually don't rush games, and even without rushing I finished this entire game in less than an hour. If more levels could be added, that would be great. Also, I had an idea. Possibly a cop campaign and a "gang" campaign, where in the gang you would bring money to and from places, smash cop cars, and protect other gang members who are carrying money, or some valuable. You would also attempt to break friends out of their cop cars. That would also add space for multiplayer, a bit like need for speed: hot pursuit. Thank you for your time.

Great Game!!!. Ok, $3 is a little steep but this game is fantastic! I am several levels into the game and have yet to feel the need to purchase any of the in app options to do anything. The in-app purchase is there if your lazy and don't want to play through the game to have everything unlocked, but you can play through it and unlock everything on your own. I really hope the devs keep adding content to this game. More levels, a new city, or free roam. That would make the $3 more then a fair price!!! Keep up the good work guys. BTW, all of the folks that are complaining about the controls apparently have not opened the options menu. You can change the controls to a joystick.

Smash Cops. This game is very addicting. It's graphic are a 9/10 and it's control is a 10. This game takes you into a game that no one has ever seen before. One thing that i would want to be added to the game is Free Roam. It would be so cool to just randomly pursue a car that is going over the limit or law and have other police members chase the suspect while you are. Also it would be cool to respond to dispatch calls. Thought this game is awesome and will always let me come back to it everyday. 10 Out of 10 for yall, cant wait for updates!

Simply Tremendous. I'm not a regular gamer on the iPhone, but I could not put this one down. Lots of fun, easy to manipulate, and a great time. I learned late that I can touch the screen any time during the rather arduously long opening to any game and it will go directly to the start of the game, bypassing that arduously long opening. Well worth the price of a Starbucks coffee. Highly recommend.

Fun and it looks cool too!. Great graphics, cool controls - overall a solid game. I've spent several hours playing through the levels, unlocking content and having a blast pursuing the perps in various police vehicles. A couple neat things would really take the design to the next level: spike strips, critical hits (extra damage and other effects for destroying the tires or damaging the engine of the perp cars), motorcycles for the cops and the perps, helicopters and boats too. Add in a slew of power-ups like a gunner leaning out your window, or the previously mentioned spike strips, or police blockades.

Fun, but too short. The game is a lot of fun, but it's very short and pretty shallow. There are two types of missions. Ones where you arrest a car by smashing it, or reach a finish line before you're smashed. Its more fun than it sounds. There are only 5 vehicles that you unlock as you earn stars by completing levels. Maximum 5 stars per level. There are only 20 levels. Hopefully there will be expansions with more variety to extend the game coming soon. I thought 2.99 was a bit high for this games length and depth. I'll adjust my rating if they include more levels with updates.

The perfect platform for expansion packs. This game is very fun to play. There are two different control schemes - one of which is a virtual joystick. This will appeal to console gamers. I hope that they release expansion packs - perhaps up to another 80 missions, more cars, and maybe even an open world mode. I would definitely be willing to pay $5 for every twenty levels added. Finally, I hope they iCloud the save game file. I want my stars and my DLC to be available on all of my devices, so as to afford a seamless experience.

Fun to a certain point. Clearly this game is based off of doing well in missions; but it is a little too difficult to finish half of them. In order to get a good score you must avoid damaging your car as well as other cop cars. I find that too hard with the lack of control you have over your car, not to mention the terrible cop AI telling them to ignore you as a cop and smash you repeatedly while getting in your way and forcing you to stop--thinking you may wreck them and lose points. Fix up the AI, hit registration, camera movement (maybe add a camera mode that sticks to your car), and levels a bit and you'll get a better review from me.

Such a fun and great game.. As said before, one of the best developed games I've played on iPad. Great graphics with no slowdowns at all. Gamecenter works seamlessly. Plenty of upgrades and challenges to enhance the replay factor. The best part: the game is fun without having to buy the in game purchases. Although they really do come in handy when trying to get every star on a level, the in-app purchases really are optional and won't put players back 6+ hours of play because they didn't buy them. Other developers should learn from the way this game is done. Cant wait to see more from this company!!!

Played as a child and playing it again. I played this when I was young and I decided to play it again... I LOVE IT! But can you please,pretty please update this game more? It is fun but not much people play it.

Great but needs a few things. Great game it looks kinda cheesy looking at the pics plus the name but it's not like that at all the controls are sorta difficult but simple. I know soooo many people have asked for free roam so devs, if you're reading the reviews... ADD FREE ROAM!!! This is a very popular game and adding free roam will just make this game more popular and that means more money. Also adding more levels would be great. This game is definitely worth 99¢ but I would pay $2.99 for free roam and more levels. Right now this app Is great and worth it if you have 99¢ xD

Wow. At first this game is a little hard with the first car and weird controls(can change to control stick in options), but once you get to the third car and get used to the control system it's really easy and fun. The only trouble I have is on the last 3 levels because I have 4 stars and can't get the last one on each, even with super cop car on the big rig. Give this game a try, you won't be disappointed and the worst that can happen is you don't like it and wasted 10 minutes.

Great game. This game is great 2 things that need to be edited though, one is in gameplay. When you smash a vehicle don't make it crash in the air and then land on its wheels again straight after and the other thing is it needs more levels and also please please please make a career mode where you can be the suspect running from the cops please after these things are done 5 stars straight away for me

Great !!! But too short!!!. I love the game but want another 20-30 levels. It doesn't matter that we've finished it ... You can just add the levels in an update. Increase the requirement for each new vehicle and add four or five levels to each vehicle so that it's a little more challenging. PS drop the 'super cop' charge. Just let people earn them if they need them. All in all a nice game. Nice controls for 1 or 2 hands. Fun but short.

Latest update drops the score. This game used to be a lot of fun, I would often go back to it and beat my old scores. This was until the game started sending me "alerts" in the middle of the night to play the game. Even AFTER I switched this off, it started doing it again. After being woken up a third time, this app is getting deleted and dropping from a 5 rating to a 1 because this is completely unacceptable!

Love it. I love this app it is awesome!! Can't wait till these people invent more missions though coz I hav done them all(so it is a bit boring no more unlocking things) but other than that, keep up the good work people! <3

Dreadful. First, you have to choose between two badly implemented control schemes. Then, you have the dreary repetitive gameplay. Having to crash into a car over and over again to get it to stop is not exciting, dispite the spectacular crashes (which do very little to stop the perps) The cars you are chasing are either so far ahead you have no hope of catching up, or so slow and close you can't use the ramming ability. Most of the time you are waiting for the Ram meter to fill up before you can do anything, and that is just plain boring. On top of that, the rating/score/star/badge system for the end of level is convoluted and doesn't seem in any way correlated to how well you feel you did. This is a great idea, with an nice design, but the gameplay is beyond weak. I got to level 8, and can't find any motivation to continue.

Quite good. This game has, great graphics, a different way of controls but still very good, not enough levels and should have more game modes. E.G cop boat, cop helicopter, cop bike e.t.c. A little pricey for a game that has very little levels. Looking forward to next update, hopefully more levels and modes

Fantastic and addictive. Anyone who bags this game hasn't played it properly. It is addictive, the controls are original but easily picked up. Get it, a must for arcade and driving sim addicts.

Good potential. But really needs a much better control scheme. Even after getting used to it, my fingers constantly cover the screen because of how much I need to move them back and forth. If this gets amended then this will be much more playable and I will consider it worth my money.

Promising but needs work. The controls are truly are a good idea but the problem is your speed. Car is to low down on the screen to try and get some control. If there was space below for wider finger movements I would be pleased. Audio is lacking a fair bit. It's car chases. You need to be able to hear some police radio. Even the news media filming the chase. It lacks that immersive feel. Also there's no in game music, nor is there any option to play your own music. It kinda takes some fun out of it. I hope this game has the work done to it because it's something worth to having on your device ones Its been fixed up.

5 *'s. Elegant, addictive, beautiful graphics and a good price! It's quick and easy to play, and yet the star system adds a decent challenge to the game. My favorite iPhone game in a long time

Excellent. I wasn't sure after reading the reviews about the steering. Bought it anyway. The steering is unique but I found it to be fun and it suits the game. The game is challenging. Many times I thought about buying the upgrades and help but didn't as I felt I shouldn't have to pay any more $. That's the only thing I don't like about the game. Bit sneaky. Room for improvements: road blocks, spikes, shotgun. I really feel its the best car game that's come out in the last 6 months or so.

Rubbish. If I could I would give 0 stars. The controls are pathetic, takes forever to get used to and messes up the gameplay in Hughes ways. I also found when I did almost every mission I hit(crash) my car into the suspects and he pings away?, making me normally fail that mission. Please don't waste $3 on a game that should be free, it still needs a lot of work; fixing ,many bugs and making controls much more improved. D:

Fun game but way too short. Fans of old style coin op titles Chase HQ will love this one. The joypad option is the more accurate control method but the push feature is interesting. Way too short though - I scored five stars on all 22 levels in under two hours. If you're having trouble with levels 6 and 10, wait until you unlock the Brutus van. It is much easier to maneuver.

Great game but needs more content. Game runs smooth on the iPhone 4 and was enjoyable. I really liked the way you controlled the police car (by default) however there was a fair bit of drift and it took a fair while to get used to it. Price is reasonable for the amount of work that went into the game, would have liked some more cars and missions maybe even the ability to mod cars The game overall only got 4 stars for the lack of content otherwise the game is pretty good

BEST GAME!. Really epic game. Best graphics and nice controls, only a few glitches but you barly notice them. Only the game is a bit short. Still, number 1 game on my list. Deserves to be Game Of The Week.

Good graphics. Good graphics, poor controls. How are you meant to drive though courses without hitting cones when you can't see where your driving cos your fingers in the way?? Joystick option is a joke.

Great Addictive Game. Well worth the free download. The finger steering is a bit ordinary though, particularly when the crook does a u-turn etc. Other than that though, no faults or poor game play. Get it now.

Good Game😝 but controls. The controls are a bit iffy, especially on the cone course, it's way too difficult, iv'e tried so many times to get more than 2 stars but i just can't😭it would also help on other levels, controls need to be more smooth especially while turning and their also should be a stop button, PLEASE update and fix this😢

Great fun, amazing graphics & polished controls. This is a great buy. Lots of fun to play and challenging too. Graphics are amazing and the interactivity has been polished to perfection. Only complaints are it can be hard to turn at times on the iPhone as you need to see the screen your controlling but im just starting out. Also I can't listen to music and play at the same time. (same with a lot of games now tho) Can't wait to play it on iPad it can only get better with a bigger screen.

Fun enough. Graphics are quite eye catching. I'm just in the levels after training so haven't delved too deep yet, but so far am enjoying the game. Controls are a bit difficult. In fact, IMHO, mastering the somewhat iffy controls are key to this game

So.....I purchased this game $2.99 thinking mmmm quite pricey for the kinda game it is but oh well let's see.......after playing up to 5 levels I get to the level where you have to drive through the course without hitting a cone! Now this is near, no this IS IMPOSSIBLE it would take a lot of play time to actually be able to do it! And THE ONLY way to go any further is to........wait for it....PURCHASE THE ABILITY TO GO FURTHER....?????????? Are you serious?...I just paid $2.99 for this game! In the description it does NOT say this. to anyone reading this, this is QUITE AN EXPENSIVE GAME because I doubt thats the last dollar this greedy developer would charge.

Don't buy. The game itself is a good idea but it's really hard to control the police car! (needs to be fixed for the game to be better) and for the price I wouldn't recommend it to anyone until they fix the issues.

Janus. Great game with scenarios that vary enough to keep you gaming for a bit but not difficult to step away from. Steering is a bit difficult but that's an acceptable challenge.

Good short fun. This is a good game with good graphics but not worth three dollars worth about one dollar because of there is only 22 levels would get 5 stars and be worth 3 dollars if the producers would ad more levels

mindless, indulgent, smashing. There are some things in life one needs. One of them is smashing things. I like this game because my son who loves smashing things loves it too, and he's only 3 and a half, and we can both be men together, 35 years apart and loving the same things. Life doesn't change that much. It's also quite tricky, which means I haven't got bored of it after 3 ferry rides to work. My wife couldn't get out of the car park, so there won't be any amateurs vying for my game time. I don't have much time for words like game mechanics etc... I will say my finger is getting a bit sore. Better get back to it. Only just got promoted to officer. The interceptor awaits...

Lots of crashes... Some before game starts though :(. Nice game but some levels continue to crash. Update hasn't helped fix this. Using iOS 4.2 on iPad 1 and having trouble with 1st tutorial and level 4 as well as some later levels. I might rate higher if you can fix it..... No promises though.

Very well thought of:). This is a very enjoyable game, has a lot of potential, it has amazing graphics, a well though out game, yeah I could use a few more levels but all in out a great game:)

Smash Cops. Great idea for a game, it's fast, graphics are good, concept is good & the street layouts are good. Love the way the fellow bad guys gang up on you..! Only down side is that you finger does obstruct the view from time to time but I'm sure that will get fixed up.. All in all it's an A1 game, well done guys. :-)

One disadvantage. Best game but just one disadvantage is there is only 22 levels and five cars took me two hours to complete and get all 100 stars. P.S change to controls to a joystick.

Great ... More Lvls. It's an awesome game with stunning graphics on my 4S only problem is that there are only 22 levels. I hope that an update will be released with more soon. Other than that I definitely recommend you buy this game!

It's alright. The game in general is good, but the price of it is a bit ridiculous. $5.49 just for this, now that's a rip off! I would only pay about $0.99 to $1.99 MAX, especially when u still can buy things like super cop and a few other things like that, like u can in the free version. U would expect to just earn them by getting more and more stars! I really don't know what to think of it at the moment. The price is way too much for the game especially when it hasn't got as good graphics as other games for the same price and in its category. I would rate this 4 stars if it wasn't as much money. Though the objective of the game is still pretty good and I enjoy playing it. If u could give half stars than I would give it a 2 and a half. .

EXCELLENT! But unfortunately too short!. I think this is the best cop game in the app store but the total amount of levels are too short, when you get great police cars you want to challenge your self even more, but it disappointed me a little.

Fun but short. Really good game, lots of fun, but there's only 20 levels and there not very challenging, the game is too short for the price. Or they need to have some mini games or something, how many criminals u can get in a time frame.

Short but sweet. Was impressed by the game and it's playability. It drew me in and got me hooked but all too soon I had completed the 20 something or 30 something levels and it was over. Possibly a little over priced considering I clocked it in 2-3 hours. But otherwise it was great fun!!

Too greedy to want in app purchase. The game is good but the programmers making sure u have to buy in app purchase to go through stages. I believe ive paid full price for the game and i should get a full functioning game without paying more. If u ask for 5$ in the beginning i think its more appropriate. Awesome!. This game is great, easy controls, great gameplay and is actually fun. I hope an update brings more missions! And maybe something like: call in a road block, or, some sort of weapon, or temporary invincibility, something to make it even better!

It's great, but could be better!. It is a great game, get it. It is fun! As other reviewers have mentioned, control is unique and take a little while to get use to (not a bad thing). Other police cars are little mindless, they are just attracted to the 'bad guy' like magnet so they can get in your way and end up trashing them with your car, and lose points in the process. If you look at other cop cars as just another hurdle, rather then really your team member, it makes more sense. Visually, it is very polished game. It is unfortunately, little short. Finished the whole game in 90min (averaging 4 stars). If you buy Super Cop upgrade, I think it will be even quicker to finish the game. I have played $0.99 games that lasted a lot longer.

Great game but terrible controls mar it somewhat for me. It's great that the developers are trying something new and different with the steering here, but at least offer the current control scheme as just one of many ways to drive, rather than as the only way to play. Hopefully they'll introduce a virtual d-pad or other touch controls in the future.

Cops and thugs. Definitely think it's time for some new levels and police vehicles. People don't want to be stuck doing the same missions over and over again and catching the same criminals. I've already finished it twice. It can get boring tbh.

Steering options. This would be a great game if they could just add options to change the steering... Not everyone wants to steer with one finger, let us choose. Personally i would like left & right buttons on the left side of the screen & brake & accelerate buttons on the right side of the screen..A lot of other people have asked for this aswell but with every new update,nothing happens.. I have not played this game since it came out because of this & until they put it on i will not play again...

Not Impressed. While the graphics are good the game gets to a point where it is harder to complete a level i.e level 6 trying to negotiate the cones is difficult and it gets to the point that you give up and lose interest in the game not to mention that at certain points you have to buy more of the game to progress further. Don't think I'll continue with his game sorry :(

An old iphone classic keeping up with the new games. Wonderful game to keep coming back to when new games are boring and uncreative or simply don't use the potential of the hardware. Epic! But have some requests.... This game is awesome! But there needs to be just a little longer gameplay, (no biggy). But most importantly, you need free-play so you wouldnt need to make anymore levels! You could drive your car around town looking for "bad guys" and after you arrest one, you keep on goin'! It can go on forever like me typing! Please fulfill my request then if I could, I'd rate this game 7 stars!

Not bad, needs more content. Not a fan of the tap controls, but the virtual stick works well do no big deal. Love the variety of missions, but it was too easy, I went through and got 5 stars throughout in about 5-6 hrs. I think you need to add another 20-30 levels and more car unlockables, and make the other cops smarter! Also, game center achievements would be nice. To be clear, difficulty is good, just more content.

Has potential. The graphics are amazing. The detail is well done. But the main purpose behind this game (driving) is incredibly difficult. You can only use the bottom fifth of the screen to drive. Numerous times I've been delayed at the start because my finger wasn't low enough, or my finger slid off the edge with either result causing my squad to go to a dead stop. It would be so much better to control if you could touch the top of the screen to drive. I understand the "ram" feature would have to be moved.....how about to the bottom fifth of the screen where you normally steer?

Good. My concerns are that for $3 there are too little levels. Make the price lowered to $1. Also sometimes suspects respawn when you hit them and that kinda annoys me. Can you please add multiplayer and make one player the suspect and one player the cop and see which player gets wrecked first. Also can you people stop complaining about the controls. Simply go to options and select joystick instead of the dragging controls.

Its waaaay to HARD. Ok this app isn't totally stupid,the gradus are good and it's a good idea, but the controls stink and the levels are stinkin HARD ! How in the world am I supposed to pass that time trial with only 30sec if it's only the stinkin 6th level I've played?!?! It how I'm a supposed to kill the guys, and do it in good time when for 5stars you have to kill them in 15sec! Some times it tAkes me that long to just catch up with them let alone ram them . Sum good game but bad controls and realy HARD levels

Great game. Absolutely love the game! Its just really hard to get all of the donuts, they are hidden, while trying beat the level. What if there was a way to just collect the donuts once youve completed the level and not have to wry about failing the level? I have almost all the donuts just can't beat the other levels once I found the donuts. Love the pro steering on the sabre. Can you make more cars with pro steering? Really helpful. Great game overall though

Awesome. This is an awesome game. The crashes are to die for. The controls you have to get used to. There is no need for the in app purchases. There should be free roam. There should also be a survival mode where you can switch out from being the cop or being the suspect in the game and survival mode. There need to be more levels that are harder because once you have the enforcer it gets easy.

Fun but frustrating. Really fun and satisfying to smash into bad guys and watching them get tossed into the air in slow motion. Really frustrating to steer. The computer controls the criminals car without skidding and sliding around corners. It's impossible to go through a level without destroying your fellow cops' vehicles. They get tossed and smashed easier than they should be. They get in the way and takes hits like you activated the Ram function when barely touch them. Make the other cops tougher than they are and the game would be so much better.

One of the best car chase apps ever. I cannot write enough about how much I enjoy this game. Scoring high is a bit difficult but that doesn't prevent you from getting to the next enjoyable level. Controls are different than you may be used to but that does not make them bad - they're actually really fun and initiative. Really great game.

Dear Hutch. I think I have figured out a way to make this a even more wonderful than it already is that is : free roam that you can choose your car, toggle siren, randomly suspects come flying down the streets, sometimes cops assist you, and maybe you could call in helicopters and roadblocks. If you do this in the next update this will be probably be the BEST APP EVER!!!!!!!

Great Game. Not too thrilled with where all of the in app purchases are leading, but I can attest to the fact that it's a very fun game without spending anything. I feel that the in-app purchase add on craze is going to fade really fast at some point soon -- at least for very marginal ones like these 99 cent paint jobs. I downloaded this game for free awhile back and it's in my 10 ten of all time favorite ipad games. Great programming guys.

Very fun and addicting!. The over head view is done like a news chopper is following the action. I prefer the joystick control to one side verses behind the car, which is a nice option. I find myself going back trying to pass the levels with 5 stars, which adds to the longevity of the game. Runs great on my iPhone 3GS as well as my iPad. Definitely worth buying!!

Overly repetitious and simple. This game looks amazing by description and screens so I bought it. The graphics are cool, no doubt. The gameplay can be fun. The big issue is that what looks like a cool top down burnout is really just an overly simplistic chase game with 22 levels that are almost all repeats of the same 3 levels over and over again. The interface is really weak too. I hope that over time more diverse content is added because it could be fun. Not worth a buy at $2.99 as it stands.

Rip Off. The game has great graphics and realistic physics but the cars are unlocked very early I beaten the game in 5 mins and all the cars you cAn never tell a differene don't be fooled by the pictures those are not one of the best moments of the game those ARE the only best moments!!! If you want this game make sure your have an extra money because every time you finish a mission it makes you want an extra every time any it gets really annoying, also there are one 22 missions and it takes about 30 seconds on all of them!!!!

Close to being a good game. This game is entertaining, but I would not pay anything for it if forced. The game has a few key flaws that make it almost unplayable. 1. Controls - The cars handle absolutely awful - Your thumb gets in way of the view 2. Camera - This goes hand-in-hand with the controls. When you turn around in the game, as in going past the suspect and doing a 180 to be able to attack from the front, the controls become hypersensitive and the viewing distance is atrocious. 3. Friendly Cops - There is no reason for these friendly cops to exist in the game. They do absolutely nothing except get in your way. Additionally, they sometimes decide to ram into you killing themselves which counts as Cop Wreck. Overall I would give this 2.75 out of 5, but I had to choose 3 stars. I'm glad I got this for free on sale, I would have been very angry for purchasing.

Good game but way too short! Not worth the money. Game being short would be an under statement here. I finished the game in one day without paying the extra like some are suggesting! The game is not long enough to justify that price point. It should of been free, hope to see if there will be more levels and game types! Other than that the game is very polished and game play is great! I didn't run into any bugs or problems on my iPhone 4s! Although replay ability is almost nonexistent!

Fun but some upgrades needed ; not worth the money. The game is fun but it needs a few changes. You should be able to flip your device to either side for your preferred playing style. It would be nice to control steering by turning phone back and forth. Difficult to play on iPad 2 because you have one finger driving and steering and u need another one to smash the criminals. Also when your smashing criminals and you have them trapped, the disappear and spawn behind you and you have to catch up, needs fix. I like the game, but is not worth $3.00. WAY TOO SHORT!

Great game!. All it needs is more levels and your able to destroy civilian cars and fly cars into the ocean. Also people who complained that the game is to hard are liars or they don't know how to play, some levels you need a better car to get 5 stars. I got 5 stars on every level with the best car no additional purchases.

Excellent free game - lots of fun. Some of the levels are fun enough to try even after getting 5 stars. Some are so hard, I can't imagine getting top ranking. But they are still fun. Unique control mechanism becomes very intuitive within a short time. Tip: in multiple car challenges, don't move on to the next car until you have arrested the one you hit first.

A great foundation. A wonderful game. Great controls, very unique strategic demands, fast-paced and exciting, challenging to master. However, like many others, I beat the game in a very short amount of time and would love to see more content. Free Play would be a great start, where I can just wander the city arresting criminals. Or how about a storyline with characters, if you really want to go above and beyond. At the very least, more levels.

Smash Cops ideas. First, this game is freakin awesome. Buy it if u haven't already. So for the ideas. A Free Roam mode where there is no time limit, infinite life for you and infinite criminals. Also there should be a story mode. Like there is a crime spree and the leader is big rig but when he comes out there is no one there to protect him and that seems odd and then the last level (bank robbery) is the reason no one was helping big rig escape which was planned for months.

Perfection...?. If you're looking for a destruction derby-style game, you cannot go wrong with Smash Cops! It's a destruction derby, but on the streets instead of in an arena. It runs great on a first-generation iPad and even better on the new iPad. The controls are, um, "unique". Personally the "joystick" control seems more intuitive than the "push" control. Buy it and start smashing some cars/vans/lowriders/ATVs/trucks/SUVs/armored trucks/big rigs up!

Good game but too short for the price. Game is fun and the controls are good (mostly) only negative is for the price you only get about 4 hours of play time before you finish it maybe only 8 to get 5 stars on each mission. I think I fully finished the game in 4-5 hours at 100% if your on a budget I would skip this game as you will get more value in 3 other games at $0.99 Game needs more play modes maybe an infinite mission with a timer that only increases with each arrest. Ally cop car logic seems to be how can I get in the way of the player.

Great Game for free. The only thing I dont understand , on my ipad i play same and i would get more stars . I think the game should have a option for sensitivity . Other than that everything can be played without spending real money . Its fun but much harder to play on iphone then ipad. I think the sensitivity is same on both but screen size is much different so its not fair :D O and online play co-op would be cool

Good game. This is worth the money, but it takes up a lot of space for what you are getting. It needs more vehicles and a better variety of missions, and the cop AI needs to be better because they can't help at all and usually are in the way, causing you to lose points. The missions get bland after a while and some missions are very difficult with just one police car.

Flawed but enjoyable. I finally was able to play longer than 10 minutes without it crashing, so I figured I would rewrite my review and review the game minus the crashes. 1. Graphics 4.5/5 2. Control 5/5 really enjoyable. I totally get the push to move and feel like I'm playing with my Hot Wheels again 3. Difficulty 4/5 not difficult at all. I never felt like I was forced to make a IAP to complete the game. Heck I only used Super Cop once and beat the game very easily. 4. Stability 2/5 this could just be my 1st gen IPad but it does crash frequently. IOS 5 has a nasty memory leak so it could be my iPad that is the problem. 5. Content 4/5 lots of levels but I really would like more. In the end, I'm ok with the money I spent.

Good graphics, fun but short.. Game play is fun and graphics are pretty good on the iPad 2. Controls are ok but could be a little better. Team cops always seem to run in to you causing you to lose points. Target car always seems to reset going other direction after a good smash. Multiplayer would be a lot of fun. One cop and one robber. Game is fun though. Needs more missions.

Innovative and fun. Worth buying. Has a great new control system and offers something different than most iOS car games. You do not have to pay to advance levels or upgrade your vehicle as someone else reported. You only have to earn stars by completing levels. Not extremely difficult once you get the hang of it.

Doughnuts are pointless. This game is fun and the physics are great. But having objectives like collecting doughnuts pieces is pointless and quite aggravating when you realize THERE'S NO REWARD FOR COLLECTING ALL OF THE DOUGHNUTS. I was hoping for a better vehicle as reward since three of the levels are actually impossible to get 5/5 stars without the "Super Cop" upgrade. Of which you only get a few, and if you didn't know about the challenges to come, you probably used them up and didn't realize that the only way to get them again is through an in app purchase! Ugh.

Fun fun fun. I really like this game. It is really a lot of fun, I am finding this to be probably one of the best game apps that I've seen in a long time. It definitely lets me get my crashing an cop aggression out. sometimes I really do, want to do, what you get to do in this game in real life, I'd rather bash into the criminals then have to pull them over. And plus this is a great game for your sons or daughters, my son really loves this game. It is definitely a keeper. This will stay on my iPad for a long time.

Hilarious and fun. Absolutely love it, there was an old Gameboy color game of the same kind-- racing through the city streets without a care for the collateral damage. Very fun, challenging in some parts! I'm up to Colonel rank without making an in-app purchase. Love it and all the unlockables as far as different car types (as well as suggested vehicles for levels)!

Smash Cops is awesome!. The game is great the controls are fantastic and original, there totally different to what your used to playing in a car game. The missions are just a lot of fun. Awesome game. EPICNESS!!!!!!!!! Really good graphics. If you could make a sequel I would personally like to see that you can drive anywhere in the city. Also maybe you can be the bad guys and run away from the cops. One more thing is maybe there can be a storyline. You can earn cash to buy stuff. Other than that it's a great game

4/5, good!. The game is very addictive, the controls are surprisingly intuitive, and the developer did a very nice job making the user not want to put the game down. The only downfall of the app is it's mildy frequent crashes. The game sometimes has a problem freezing up and completely shutting down. That said, the game is still highly enjoyable and definitely worth picking up.

Good. Good game, but really hard to control. It would be nice to have a more first person camera angle rather than a third person it would help with the controlling. Also, a separate button for the throttle and brake and then another button for steering would help as well. I wanna keep playing it, but I can't get past a level because the controls are difficult.

Great game, and lots replay value. This game is great, and the replay value is great because of the difficulty to get 5 stars, and the graphics and the push controls are great. All this game needs is free roam, and I hope that will be in the future update! Edit: You guys also need to make the cops less stupid when they drive around you.

mediocre bland sameness. I'm only writing this because the thing bugged me to rate it. scre off and let me play it! Besides you should have asked sooner before I realized how bad it was. you drive around the same city block bonking into cars. When you do manage to get a good hit on one and think, "ahh I've got you now!" the guy just teleports to somewhere else. What is the point of smashing him? If the guy can f@&$&@ing teleport why not do it before I hit him? Total crap, screenshots are photoshopped, there is no where near that much actual destruction in the game. Plus the menu looks like it was made in MSpaint by a 5 year old. There. You got your rating. Its your own fault: you shouldn't have asked.

Surprisingly good.. Maybe I am just out of the loop, although I do have literally hundreds of games on my iPhone, but I have never before seen this style of drivng before. Using one finger to "push" the car. Its surprisingly very good. Great game. Great game I was ify to at first but now that I've bought it I got regret it at all great game it may take a while to get used to the steering but that is not even that hard there is now a joystick you can use if u don't like the other set up all tho I dont like the joystick at all it gives you options and a bunch of cool police car the only thing I want is more level and you guys should get it while it free

Absolutely the worst game ever...NOT!!!!. This game deserves the 5 stars because it is a really good game. I made it to the Guardian. This game also has realistic features. The only thing I would say to improve is make more missions like chasing a runaway train or something like that. But hey, if that doesn't happen, then I'm ok with that. Just another thing for Hutch Games. Make more things like a fire truck or tow truck simulators. Other than that, it is a great game.

Game crashes more than the cars. This game is really great. The physics are awesome, it's beyond belief that an iPod can do this, but of course there's a downside to everything. For absolute smooth gameplay, you should restart your device at least once at any given time and erase all other programs, and you will still get inevitable freezes but not as many. This shouldn't be happening at all. It crashes to a point were I simply can't play it. I am running on an iPod touch 4g so they are perfectly capable of fixing this issue

Amazing. I don't know why a lot of people don't like this game, I've beaten every level (at least 4 stars each level) Something I would like to see is a free roam, and maybe a couple more missions, amazing game, play it all the time, love graphics and gameplay, thank you for putting out this great game.

Best game I have. Smash Cops takes the old police chase games to a new level. The game is brought to you in a helicopter view which makes the pursuits very realistic. The only downside is that the controls are a bit different than what were used to, I personally like them but you may not. It is totally worth paying the $3 for so don't let that turn you away!!

Suspect Smash!. It crashed at first, but after I restarted my iPod I haven't had any problems. I love this game! I love the new touch controls! Can't wait for more levels,ranks, and cars! BEST COP GAME EVER!!!!!!!!!!!. I only have 1 complaint.......NOT ENOUGH LEVELS. I love the game but there need to be like 50 more levels. If you guys come out with a new update that would be great. It would also be great if you could add like more cop cars and achievements. I got the game today and finished it in 1 hour. Please add more levels and cars soon before it gets old. Awesome game. This is an awesome game I would give five stars, but I got the patch and there are still glitches. for example on all of the levels if you crash the robber or enemy against a building or wall he teleports, he vanishes in air and gets past you if they fix this I will give this game 5 stars. Also good job on the graphics and coming out with new levels later. I beat all the levels in a day and was kind of disappointed with the money I payed. keep it up guys

I love it!!! But...DEVELOPERS PLEASE READ THIS :). I love the graphics and controls, I prefer using the joystick. Suggestions: make each level longer, their too easy, maybe u can add multiple objectives in each level. Also, with an increase in rank u should get an added bonus on each level, either increase in speed, ramming capabilities, or something, some sort of recognition that u run the town in the level, maybe add more back up cops if ur a Lieutenant.

Fun…but needs better controls. Fun game, but both of the options to control the car are wonky. The joystick is better, but it needs to be calibrated to allow for better speed control. You find yourself trying to steer and the car losing speed…very frustrating. The arrow method of control is just not intuitive…and makes you spin out constantly. Fix the control schemes and you will have a better game.

Very disappointed. I was recommended the game by Genius from playing Reckless driving which is the best racer I have played. Upon playing this, I was immediately disappointed in the control settings. U can't have a high speed chase when your joypad does the acceleration and turning. Can u please make it separate. If not I rather have my money back than continue cuz I will lose interest. This game was a lesson on not trying new things. It's a great concept hopefully some updates occur.

Definitely a worthy game!. Great graphics! What I like the most about the game is that there are three things you can strive for per mission: 1-get five star rating, 2-collect all three donut pieces, 3-get the record time for completing a mission. So you can always replay a mission to complete any of those goals. Replaying from scratch would be just as fun as playing for the first time.
