Absolutely Awful. NO stars. Unbelievable that they wiped out years of my purchases. Total theft. This is so wrong I don't even have words for it.

Robbed!. I did NOT subscribe to Country Living UK but bought every issue available through this app. With the new upgrade they have deleted 21 of my issues and I can't get them back! This means I only rented them. It said if I installed the upgrade the issues I OWNED could be re downloaded. a LIE! If we don't get our issues back we should all get together and start a lawsuit. Don't buy mags through this app.i thought they had this fixed and updated again 3 years later. it happened again! they are thieves and apple shouldn't sell us the apps. fool me once, shame on you. fool me twice, SHAME ON ME!

App not updating. As several others have written in their reviews, the app is not updating to the September issue. Using the app support link takes you to Hearst magazine support and they say it’s an Apple problem.

Don't upgrade if you like your library. Like another reviewer, would not have upgraded had it been made clear up front that any issues bought more than 12 months ago, would no longer be available in the app upgrade. Is it possible to restore the old version? Love this magazine and it's a horrible loss of a few years of digital editions and many saved/bookmarked pages. Stopped buying the print magazine to build a virtual library and save space at home. This is making me reconsider going back to print. Was getting ready to re-read all of the old holiday issues and favorited pages for baking and decorating inspiration. All gone.

Good content at good price. I know some people have commented on other magazine apps about the fact it says free and then the cost of an issue: - the app is free and you get one issue free, but come on it is a magazine so you must know the whole content is not free but unlike some 'free' apps at least you get a whole issue to read for free. - the cost of one issue is $5.99 which is cheaper than the cover cost if you convert pounds to dollars, and when I have bought these magazines in the US they have been at least $8 so it's still cheaper - and the subscription price saves even more so good. My one bad comment is not all of the links are clickable which is a shame but I like it.

Disappointing update. The new version has lost the elegance of the previous. It also offers only limited back issues, no previews, and doesn't seem to be updating with the new July issue.

Mary. V. disappointed to find that my collection of editions that spans almost three years has gone "poof." Technology is designed to enhance not detract. Considering purchasing hard copies again, but isn't that frankly a slap in the face to the habit/commitment to sustainability that CL champions? As a reader not living in the UK, I am left to wonder if this digital incompetence is an early consequence of Brexit???

Still Waiting on Hearst to Get It’s Act Together. App is not updating. Never received September issue. I’ve sent at least 10 emails with no success. They either send me to Apple or say “they are looking into it.” Probably just a bot response. I’ll be cancelling my subscription.

Country Living. Great magazine

Glitch fixed!. Country Living UK is wonderful. I’m glad the through-the-cracks glitch was miraculously resolved. Hearst Publishing said it was Apple’s problem; Apple assured me it was Hearst’s. Regardless, a few days later, my digital issues appeared. I am HAPPY!!!! A bit confused, but utterly happy. Update: I’ve been patiently waiting for my September issue to appear. It should have appeared by early August at the latest, and it has not. I renewed my subscription, thinking maybe that was the problem, but still no September. Based on the cover, it looks like a great issue! When I tried to get help, I couldn’t “send” my complaint! My only available option was “cancel,” which is what I’ll do if this isn’t resolved soon! No matter how great the digital version of this magazine is, it’s no good, if you can’t access it after you’ve paid for it!

Free issue, my arse. I downloaded free issues of two different magazines from this company, ones I have subscribed to in the past, at great expense, from the UK, or regularly purchased from my now defunct local Borders branch. Yippee, now I can get copies unbent by the mail, and unthumbed by the unwashed coffee drinking masses. Both came up so tiny I couldn't even see them- iPhone sized on my ipad, and with no option to increase size. Repeated attempts to figure out how to view them in greatere-than-Barbie size elicited only attempts to get me to subscribe, yes/no. Two favorite magazines have left me with a sour taste in my mouth. Don't waste your time if you want to download your free "sample" issue.

Trouble. I have had nothing but trouble with this subscription. It will not load all the pages and since the latest App update all previous months magazines have disappeared and they want to charge me for them.

One of my favorite magazines. It’s so relaxing to curls up with Country Living and dream of a country house, and sketch out ideas for meals and gardens.

Hate it. I feel robbed. The new app deleted all my old issues and these are issues I paid for!! Don't waste your money on this app. I'm rating it 1 star because it won't let you rate 0. I want my old issues back!!!

Free???. Sorry to disappoint. False advertising! Takes you right to a page to buy. No sample at all. Not gonna buy something without knowing first what it is I'm buying.

Too bad. Country Living is my favorite magazine, so it is unfortunate that the latest app update turned a pleasurable experience into a frustrating one. 1/2 of the back issues have been deleted (@$5 ea, that's money your not making) including the ones I have already paid for that can not be restored. At least two special issues have also disappeared and are now unavailable for purchase (more money your not making).To top it all off....the images are blurry. Nice....real nice.

No new issues available. There is a problem with the app — the September and October issues are not available. It stopped updating after the August issue. Customer service claimed that if I reloaded the app it would be “fixed”, but it is not. Please fix!

Terrible update. I am subscribed through iTunes. It tells me I am subscribed but it won't update or download the latest issue. Grrrrrrr

No September issue for app users?. Put me down as another who can't access the September issue. What's going on Hearst? Is this a ploy to get us to join that Porch club thingie?

App is not updating. The September and October issues finally arrived a month late but now the app will not restore the previous issues bought through a subscription that I’ve had for years. Let’s fix this app once and for all and make it work like it should. Too frustrating for words...

Good magazine, lousy customer service. For some reason I have been unable to acces the latest issue. I cancelled a renewal after getting no help, signed up for a new one but had exactly the same problem and was again bounced around from the magazine and apple and advised to do what I had already done and reported, namely deleted and reinstalled the app and shut down my iPad.

Very poor. The 'upgrade' deleted all the previous issues for which I'd paid. Shoddy, this App deserves zero stars. Wholly dissatisfied.

Why this?. I tried to sign up for Country Living UK, instead it sent me House Beautiful. don't know why.

App not updating. The app is not updating but September and October are available on ZINIO??

I don't like the new version!. How can I get the old version back on my iPad? The new version has deleted newly purchased magazines and is asking me to buy them again! I've lost several years worth of country living uk, as well as other magazines, that I have purchased one magazine at a time.

Annoyed in PDX. I love this magazine, but when I try to read it on my iPhone the magazine flips to the next page unexpectedly whenever I zoom in, and disrupts my reading. Please fix this ASAP. Thank You.

Best magazine!. Country Living British Edition has been my favorite magazine for years! I started reading it years ago while temporarily living in London. Then I used to be able to find it in several bookstores and airports in France. But since the Brexit it was no longer available anywhere. What a joy to have access to it via a digital subscription! Why didn’t I think about it earlier!? Although I do miss having it on my bedside table as an invitation to relax. (The paper subscription is really way too expensive from France.) This magazine has it all. News, decoration, fashion, practical articles on many subjects, gardening, cooking….. On top of it all, it is well written and well documented. I feel rested just looking at its cover. I pace myself through it to make the pleasure last: I allow myself only a few pages a day. It’s my reward along with a cup of coffee or tea. I retreat in its pages and unwind in its beauty. I enjoy the poetic quotations, the amazing pictures, the delightful stories, the excellent recipes, the selections of well crafted objects that turn everyday life into something meant to bring joy and make beauty available to all. Finally, I learn so much on so many subjects, arts, crafts and cultures. Thank you so much!!!! Keep up the good work please!!!

I Was Robbed!. The latest "update" eliminated my access to my bak issues before March 2013. Those were issues that I had paid for! Ism going back to purchasing paper copies. At least the publisher cannot break into my house and steal those. I am giving one star only because Apple won't let me give zero. Great way to alienate your subscibers!

Country living /UK. I love this magazine it is far superior than the U.S. version even the paper is better quality. Now I subscribe to the digital version. I love reading about the countryside and seeing the beautiful cottages. The recipes are great too. Well done!

Country living UK. I tried to bring up all my paid issues & I could only bring up the last one I brought. So mad It's a lot of money. They were there one day gone the next. Don't buy till the fix this BUG. 3/14/15 Thank you so much for your support, I went into my PixelMags account & was able to bring up all my Back issues. Thanks again. I love this magazine.

Beautiful. Last night I downloaded the free September edition to Country Living UK . It is a glorious issue. If you love the country look check out the magazine. The advertisements for conservatories are AMAZING. Their is a real estate section for renting and buying English estates. The gardening and flower articles are inspirational.

Where’s the September Issue!. I guess I’m not alone and other people are not getting the September issue. I contacted Hearst and got no help! Kept referring me to Apple, they assumed it was a subscription issue and didn’t read my email properly. Finally got a reply saying they were looking into it and to try the app in a few days, well its now a week later and still no Sept issue. Question, will the October issue show up???

where did it all go?. I needed to reinstall all my apps/subscriptions on my iPad and paid a considerable sum to get the subscription plus 3 additional issues and they are no where to be found. What's up and how do I get what I paid for? A no star rating would be a better rating. The saddest thing is that I really like the magazine.

I love this magazine. Not dumbed down like US magazines. IPAD app works well.

App stopped updating. I’ve been subscribing to this magazine on iPad for 6 years without problems, but the app stopped updating in August. I emailed Hearst Publications for help but they said I’d need to contact Apple since I purchased in Apple’s App Store. Apple told me my subscription is up to date so there’s no reason on their end for me to not get the magazine. They told me to contact app developer (Hearst) but Hearst didn’t help me and referred me back to Apple. There is also no link here to App Support. Very frustrating! I cancelled the subscription. I’ll just read it for feee at my library.

Country Living U.K.. Very upsetting. All of my issues since I subscribed in 2012 have been removed from the app. They left only the last 11 months. Those issues were all bought and paid for and they have no right to deny access to them. It really is theft! I will not renew!

Country Living UK. I am having the same issues as some of you No access to Sept or now Oct . What is going on ?

Frustrated!. I have purchased 3 special issues of country living vintage home, at first I was able to see them in the app. Now they have disappeared, and no one seems to be able to help me, I keep getting the runaround. I will never purchase another magazine from this site again, what a rip off. If I could I would give -10 stars

Frustrating. Spent hours trying to update app as prompted. Finally updated. December issue downloaded but not able to view. Settings gear bobs up and down, can't restore purchases. A real shame, I've been using old versions for years with never a problem. Love this magazine. Disappointing. Same problem...September 2019 issue isn’t showing up so I can’t download it. Still love the magazine and hope this glitch is fixed soon. I reinstalled app and it didn’t help. Now being sent back and forth between Apple and Hearst...no resolution.

Unable to access September 2019 issue. I have an active subscription through iTunes but cannot download the September 2019 issue. This happened to me once before but it eventually showed up. This time, not so lucky. I see another reviewer is having the same problem.

I thought my magazines had vanished but. clicking on 'preview' starts the download. So happy to have these magazines back. The magazine itself is great. Renewing my subscription. 😊

Rip off - huge disappointment. All previous copies for a few years have disappeared. I go through my copies every month and now am unable to. It comes down to stealing if you think of it. Those copies have been paid for. I am extremely hurt and disappointed. Will not be using the app again.

We have enjoyed this magazine for many years but.... I would urge you not to subscribe or buy them for the second time they have deleted all the previous issues we bought purchased and own, we feel deeply violated, robbed and cheated. The first time we bought a new iPad to enjoy the new app. And let's all those first years of magazines! Now this month they update their app and we can't access any previous years again!?!? I refuse to buy one single magazine from the Hearst company AND WANT TO SEE THEM IN A HEARSE! Go bankrupt from no one buying any more of your deceit!
