Awesome...before update. Loved this app and have used it for years. I would have given it 5 stars....until the last update. Why did it have to change!!? I want the old version back.

Well thought out - simple with all the key functions. Was searching for a simple app with all the basic functions. This was the only app that I felt gave enough control without making it too complicated to use. Really well thought out functionalities and a lot of adjustment options for slides. Would have appreciated a capability to fade in/out the music so that recorded videos can be heard (if preferred). Looking forward to future updates.

Great app. Best slideshow maker app! There a few small bugs, but nothing major. If you are looking for a quick simple way to make a slideshow this is it. Takes me just a few minutes to put together an 8 min slideshow, and even lets me add and cross fade music!

One thumb up. Not user friendly. Very difficult to find editing capabilities. Can’t add music... I don’t know if any are as good and easy as they claim... I haven’t been able to add music and can’t find assistance

Crashes during rendering. I had high hopes that this app would be the one but not so. .Unlike other similar apps, it allowed an unlimited number of photos to be added to a project-great! 172 photos added super easy. .The photos were a little clunky to reorder in the timeline but you can do it - mediocre. .Music was easy to add- also great! .Trial run the video was good except you can’t hear the music to know if it is synchronized properly- mediocre. .Then I try to publish the video, saving to my photo gallery- mega fail!!! It crashes every time. App just quits with no error message. Re-started app, rebooted phone....nothing works. The video is un-shareable

Problems opening app.. I made one slide show. Worked fine. Tried making another and the program would suddenly shut down.

Horrible Unstable App. I want my money back. I've spent over two hours trying to figure out how to upload this 'project' (which I have to reproduce every time I want to try something different) to Facebook. There is no button in this Export list that says Facebook, and the number of pictures in my photo albums dwindles with every usage. Grrr

Great app just keep crashing. It was easy to navigate, make changes and add. I did have to pay to trim music but the app was free. Overall it worked wonderfully for exactly what I needed it for. Thanks!

Seriously bad. Would not load all of my pictures...and then the pictures either went by too fast or too slow, no matter how I timed the spacing. And then I’d get 30 second gaps in between images. Waste of money.

Great transitions!. Every time I try to make a slideshow, I keep looking for another program assuming there must be something better out there. I keep coming back to this app, it is not the absolute best interface, but the end product is awesome for what I want. I am normally trying to make a slideshow to display on a projector in front of a large group of people. The end product with this app awesome! I am very happy with it. The best way I have found to use it, is to put all the pics you want in a folder, then just add all of them to the project. It is much easier to get a complete job that way.

No support. If this works for you, good luck. We purchased this over a month ago. Photos do not show up in app. I have emailed support (3) times for help. They have never replied. If you have issues you are on your own. I would look for another product, if the app fails to locate your photos, well, there is no way to create a project. We used ver. 6.31, buyer beware.

This is a lie.. I cannot get a one star rating sent. I cannot add other photos to a project I accidentally started. The lower left photo icon does not give me a menu that allows me to add more photos. Very frustrating!

What did you do with the App this last upgrade???. Loved this app until the recent upgrade for so-called “ bug fixes” ! You have made it literally IMPOSSIBLE to edit the videos created. Even the User Manual does not apply anymore to the application. Go back please to the ORIGINAL editing features!

Poor functionality. I am disappointed to have spent a few bucks on an item that simply doesn’t work as described. The app only accessed 81 of my hundreds of photos which obviously isn’t great and doesn’t provide me a method of accessing FB pics either. So at this point I’m thinking operator error but it’s impossible to say considering the manual is written for for an iPad not the iPhone I downloaded the app to. The app needs some work yet as the concept is valuable.

Hard. Doesn’t allow “No Transition” option

Don’t waste your money. This app does not have features that it reports. There is no “web album” feature that lets you connect with places you might have pics stored like Facebook, Dropbox, etc. Tried to reach developers but got no reply. Keep looking for another app, this one is not what it seems!

Can’t access all my photos, don’t purchase app. What’s the point of purchasing a slide show app that I can even use all the photos that I want from my gallery. At this moment it is only giving me access to 32 photos and I have well over that. This needs to be fixed ASAP. This app is trash and I honestly want my money back unless they have a fix for this.

Can’t see pictures I selected. It ask to add pics so I select pic it just shows a check mark but no pic to see what you selected go next

Lists no photos in albums.. Couldn’t load any photos on my iPad. Very disappointing.

App crashes constantly. I bought the HD app and it worked great now it’s no longer available in the store. I’ve created a new video in the HD app and now I cannot export it I can’t play it. I spent hours on this video and there has been no response from this company. Highly disappointed.

Won’t Open All My Photos. Not sure why...but it only opens up a few photos...at first I really loved this app...even paid to go Pro...now I’m on the search for something that will access my full gallery so I can make an appropriate slide show....disappointed at the time...hope it gets fixed😩

Could be 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Love it when it works but usually does not work. Cost too much to split or shorten a song.

Works for me. This is the only slide show app that can shuffle all my snaps with full control of transitions and display time. I use "fade" and a slow one minute time per slide. Anything else we is just annoying. The iPad Pro is always busy.

Unhappy. Thought this app was really cool until it crashed constantly. Absolutely frustrating.

Won’t even load!. So frustrated! Spent money on this horrible app. It won’t load at all to even try to make my video. Have tried restarting, uninstalling and reinstalling and nothing is working. Hoped to save time, but nope here I am making the video the same way as always and spending wayyyy too much time on it.

Basic Function Absent. I am just hoping to find an app that simply allows the selecting of a dang PLAYLIST from my iTunes library on my phone to play with the slides. Why is that too much to hope for???

Great for longer slideshows. This app worked perfectly for a long slideshow. The ability to incorporate multiple songs and manage a large number of photos sets this app apart from competitors.

Needs Help —- still not perfected. Needs major improvement as it will not give access to all pictures on your ipad or iphone. One day you can access some of the ones you want to use and other times you cannot. The app is fickle. It is unclear if the developer cares. Until they issue a fix you may want to stay away. When the app does what it suppose to it is great.

Very intuitive!. After trying several photo-slide Show apps this one gets my vote for ease of use and good prompts for the user. Thanks for creating this amazing slide show maker.

I’m so frustrated. I have been working on this for hours with so many glitches I can’t make any progress. I want a refund!!! I specifically used this app to attach music that I paid to download and it won’t attach. Worse slideshow app! Don’t waste your time

Photos not available. I cannot access many of the photos from my iPad to load onto the slide show app—only a handful are available to choose from. Very disappointed.

Photos will not load. I paid for this app and my photos will not load. I tried to email customer support to get help and have not heard back.

False Advertising! No link to DropBox.. I was VERY disappointed to find that Slideshow Pro does not support linking to my photos in DropBox. I even checked the online manual - no DropBox linking. This is NOT was was shown in the App Store, which clearly advertised support for Dropbox Wes albums. DO NOT PURCHASE if you want to show slides from DropBox, which is the only reason I purchased this app. It does support Picasa, Facebook and Flickr — I don’t need those features. I wasted about $5 purchasing this app.

Almost great. So close to perfect. Getting support to answer questions is non existent. So a near perfect and done video will sit because the guidebook is bad and No one in support will answer

Music doesn’t make a sound.. I tried over and over again to make the music come through but not sound. I was using my own song which it allowed me to download.

Waste of money!. It wouldn’t let me access 95% of my photos. Editing was non existent ...never worked. Pay extra for trimming music each time..simply awful!!!

Best IOS slideshow app so far!. I just dropped my rating down a star because there is no undo function. Delete a picture then decide you shouldn’t have... no you can’t undo your last move. You have to go through your pics, find it again, and move it back to the right place! A huge flaw in an otherwise very cool program!

Missing pictures. This app is the best slide show editor that I have used so far, that being said, after spending hours looking for the perfect song and pictures, when I finally upload everything into the app, I discover that I have missing pictures. If I upload 100 photos, it may only upload 72. And it’s totally random, if I start over, it could upload more or less, it’s never 100%

I love this app!. Not a lot of bells and whistles but easy to use.

Very Frustrating. I have spent countless hours trying to make a slideshow. It doesn’t load all pictures in the picture file that I select; many songs in my music file will play but just not the one I want to use; the iPad keeps freezing up while I am trying to create the slideshow and lastly I can’t get it to encode the slideshow into a video format so that it will store in my photo directory.

Good app but not all photos will show up!. I like this Slideshow app to make end of the year slideshows for my students. It’s been hard to add the necessary photos because the SlideshowPro app doesn’t read all the photos I have on my iPad. I have over 4,000 photos, and the app says I only have 1,023. I wish this problem was fixed. I had the same problem last year too. I even tried putting my photos onto Pic Collage since that’s one of the options to choose pictures from, but the photos are still missing. I’m sadly trying to find another way to make a slideshow.

Won’t even open!!!. I just paid for this piece of crap and it won’t even open. Opens for less than 1/2 a second then crashes!! How do I get my money back?!!!

Crashes. When you try to change the theme, a very integral part of creating a slideshow, it crashes. Every time. $3.99 gone. What a piece of junk. But on the bright side, I just gave a Chinese company some of my money! Why can't an American entrepreneur come up with this app? No one wants to make any money?

Music will not load. Down. Loaded app to IPad Pro, downloaded songs from the cloud and the app puts the song in slideshow, but other than title, and duration there is no music. Any suggestions?? So far one star until this issue is handled.

Only shows half the photos in my album. My head is going to explode right now!! I just purchased this app and wanted to add photos from my photo app to make a slideshow but this app only shows half the pictures in the album I’m trying to create the slideshow for!! 🤯🤯🤯. I even created a new album with the pictures but used a different album name and that also only shows half the pictures!!! 🤬 why is this app only showing half the photos in the album??? If there is something I’m doing wrong, please let me know. I have to have this slideshow ready in 4 days!!!

Fantastic. I have purchased this app it's great every video that I make and sharing it to facebook it get deleted by Facebook that is a copy wright why does this happen seriously if can't share on Facebook and they deleted is it worth getting the app need answers please !!!

Looks good. Have only used this app a little but it's already producing some fantastic slide shows. Very easy to use and surprisingly flexible. My only query to date is that after exporting the Movie file to the photo library, iPhoto on my Mac won't import the resulting movie file for some unknown incompatibility reason. Will have to find out about this from the developers.

Terrible. What a waste of money. Constantly crashing. Wouldn’t play music and no instruction / help to fix this. Couldn’t save the video to library. Would not recommend at all!

Free to go?. Marketed as free on some sites this App appears OK however it does have 'in app' purchases that if not used, render the program pretty much useless. I don't generally mind paying for what I want so give us the real deal 'upfront'. Great potential, however the marketing and the way it is presented to the consumer leaves a lot to be desired!.

Best Slideshow App. Easy intuitive and flexible. After trying more highly rated apps I came back to this one. Pity it didn't get more stars but that isn't always a reliable guide.

Best app. Very happy with this app. Let's me make slideshows that look so professional and very easy to make. I had to put something together recently for a dear friend who's father passed away. It turned out beautiful. Very happy with the results. I use this app all the time to make graduation or birthday slideshows. I highly recommend this app.

Really horrible - AVOID!. Who would make a photo slideshow app and not allow people to disable the horrible PowerPoint style transitions between slides? The people that wrote this app. Who would create a slideshow app that won’t allow you to display pics for less than a second? The guys who created this. Who would create an app that won’t alllow you to repeat a song to match the length of a slideshow? You guessed it. A basic app with a premium price tag. Oh and don’t request a refund. The devs will ignore your request and opt for a bad review instead. Flipagram is much cheaper (free) & has more or less the same features.

Sarah. This is an excellent app - so simple to use & does everything I wanted. The main reason I bought an iPad was to view my photos & after tearing my hair out with iMovie, I was extremely relieved to find this app. Thank you so much.

Not bad- minor issues. Worked well creating a photo slideshow - but would be better if: 1. Easier to order slides - added some duplicates(?) - wasn't easy to get them in chronological order 2. You could search for music - no search function I could find - lots of scrolling to find a song or artist 3. Utilise locally downloaded Apple Music - only recognised purchased or downloaded songs Looking forward to next update !

Needs video. Good app but it really needs the add video option!! Other than that very good and easy to use.

It keeps stalling right out to a blank screen.Photos don't download properly,you can't download more than two photos at a time without the app crashing,Photos go missing on the slideshow leaving a black blank space.Really disappointing,a waste of money.I rated this one star but really it should be well in the negative.One star was the lowest I could go.I want my money back.

Best in it's class!. Really love this app! Downloaded a few others before hitting the jackpot with this one. The only issues or should I say enhancements needed are; 1. Would be great to be able to drag a photo to a position in the slideshow from the photo tray as dragging all the way from the end is quite painful if you need to insert at the beginning of the slideshow. 2. Would be awesome to be able to drag the music or cut it off at a specific point. I found there is quite a pregnant pause between the end of one song and the start of the next. 3. The music indication on the slideshow doesn't match the actual length of the song so is bit hard to time the photos with the song. Thanks for a great app and I look forward to seeing some of Mt suggested enhancements some day!

Really good but ........ Very simple to use and has pretty well everything needed to produce a top quality slide show. However it would be very handy to have an "undo" button that reverses actions as they are tried out. Even a reset button to go back to the default settings would be great. It is very time consuming and frustrating setting up a show and not being able to quickly reset some or all choices back to square one again. The "inset text" is handy but a choice of fonts would be nice instead of one boring default font. Also a colour palette for fonts? Maybe down the track the capability to insert movie clips would be a huge asset but I can appreciate this would involve a lot of work from the developers. Still a good app though a bit steeply priced for what you get. Nonetheless it will do me but I can envisage folks wanting more professional tools will not go for it!

Fantastic and they improve this app like they care about it. Easy to use - it is intuitive. But it's also really clever and produces great effects, great choice of background screens, you can pan and zoom photos durina slideshow, add music, etc, etc. Great user interface. Slick production. Slideshow. Took a few goes to sort out the way this app works.. however I am happy with the final product. Pity that once music is locked in, it can’t be altered (not that I could see). All in all the best of the bunch that I tried.. Keep working on making it user friendly and you have a winner!

Doesn't work. I just spent $4.99 on this, spent time loading photos, selecting music and when I pressed for it to play it shuts down. Won't let me change music. Won't play on anything. A waste of money. How do I get my money back?

It just works. Been downloading other apps for 12 months finally found one... this is perfect. Quickly create shows from albums with themes and edit on the run with my favourite music then uploaded to sky drive without issue. Then opened up my mini and da dah it appeared there too. A bargain. Thx heaps.

This is the best app ever !!!!. This is excellent for making slide shows of vacations !! ...so easy to use, add the music you like !! I give it an 11 out of 10 :) !!

Good and bad. Overall is good. Can make a professional slideshow but something can be better. It converts to MP4 music Video is fast and able to customerize individual transition and pan and zoom. The bad things are when playing slideshow and the picture edge is shaking when my transition is zooming out. Also, the preview window during making slideshow is not a actual size you will see when you export the complete slideshow to MP4. This is a big problem. So hard to predict the output result. I hope they can fix it on next update.

Promising but overall a let down. Had a great time making a slideshow. Loved the editing capabilities and the options in the ap.... BUT frequent crashes prevented me from finishing. So much wasted time and so disappointed!! No support either - don't waste your time.

Save your money!. Unable to access Flickr account which is why I purchased the app in the first place. Error message "SSL required" keeps you away from Flickr pictures

Good app. Good app love how you can make a slideshow outside of that do not like how you can not put in video's in it but overall I give t a 4/5 if you can put video's in it then it would get 5/5 but overall 5/5♻©®™

Poor updates. The update has cause the app to crash when trying to add music. I've tried contacting the maker several times with no response. Very frustrating when I've spent weeks on a project and now have to find a different app to use. Not many quality programs out there.

Great app. This is a great app. All functions perform well. So far, I've created a slide show with music and posted it in Facebook as well as saving a higher resolution copy on my camera roll. There could be a minor bug. I don't seem to be able to deselect a music clip. Other then that, I'm very happy with this purchase.

SUPERB. Took me a little while to find all it's capabilities but its really very easy to use, excellent production quality also. Would ask for more music options as a background, when I tried to publish mine to Facebook it was deleted for copyright infringement as is used music from my iTunes purchases, the stock selection I could use is a bit. Would like to be able to narrow my selection of pics, it will only grab a who,e album. Minor details because this app is otherwise very worth the money, I've tried them all, this one is the best!

Just What I Was Looking For. Great app. Does everything I want in a slideshow app.

Horrible. I can't stress how bad this app is. It gets to a certain point, then crashes. You simply cannot email, export, or even continue. It just keeps on crashing. I have filed a report with itunes already. This app is fraudulent t in its claims

Great slideshow app. I used this app for 2 funeral slideshows and am impressed with the variety of features it has and how durable it is (there was 2 years between these slideshows). It does take a little work to become familiar with it, but I would still highly recommend it as a reliable app especially since the price is right!

Won't work with IPad!!!!!!!. Spent an hour setting up a slideshow for a trade show, every time you try to play it on the iPad, the app quits!

This app sucks and I want a refund.. I paid over $5 for this app. It won’t recognize the pictures in my iPhoto library and says there are zero photos no matter what I do. When I finally got some pics in the slideshow and added music from my Apple Music, there was NO sound. I’ve wasted a whole day trying to get this app to work. I’m so frustrated!

Almost Perfect. Works great and is very easy to use with very nice features. Only issue I found is that you get kicked out of the app when you click the button at the top that shows a slider control.. so obviously I’m not sure what that is supposed to do. Otherwise this app works perfectly on my phone (iPhone 11 Max Plus) and hopefully an update will fix that one issue. Thank you kindly for offering this for FREE!

Great App. This app is clear, concise, easy to use and results in very dynamic presentations. I had to quickly put together a club presentation. The results were great with lots of rave reviews. The music trim feature couldn't have come at a better time. Well done!!

Beginner User. I purchased this app hoping it would be easy for a beginner iPad user. I am thrilled with this app and created a music slideshow within a few hours using 85 photos & 2 songs. Once I realized that you can press on the photo for a few seconds in order to change the order of photos, creating my show was a breeze. I loved all of the features and will highly recommend this app to family & friends!

Photo Director Pro. Complete waste of money, crashes with every use and hasn’t been updated in months. Don’t waste your money. Requested help from support and they don’t even bother to get back to you. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY

Amazing App! Does everything it says and more. Can't say enough how much I love this app. I have used it for both personal and business. Shows our products incredibly well and has the perfect amount of features. A must have!

Horrible. And I’m being nice - does not work and you will waist your time trying to get it to. Tried on my phone and tablet neither work. Total waist of money and time !

Good but not perfect yet...... It took me four tries to get it right but I think I have it now. It deleted some pics and doubled some others until I chose photos individually. The subtitles did not show up so they had to be placed down farther on the photos. Lessons learned now, I hope. Next time it should be smooth sailing! Keep on with improvements and you will be able to increase your price.

Waste of time!. I spent hours building a slide show with this and although it is easy to use it lost all my projects.. Big waste of time. I will start again but not with this app.

Don't waste your money.. Arranging photos and music is very easy. If you want to trim your music you pay more. Copywrited music can't be uploaded to FB. Finished my first project and uploaded to FB but it is nowhere to be found. Not sure whose looking at my pics now but it's not me. Just going to delete this app. Not worth the time or money!

Not playing slideshows after recent update !!. Really liked this app before the recent update. But when I try to load previously saved shows.... They do not play and the app crashes on my ipad 3. Do not buy until this issue is fixed !!! Ob

Require apple tv for tv play. Very dissapointed, i was hoping to play it on my samsung tv without a useless apple tv, but its not possible. Other apps allow video output directly to tv, since the slideshow generate a video file, why not allow it? Dont buy if you plan to use on a tv if you dont have an apple tv.

Easy to use. Intuitive and ease of use worth 5 stars. Smooth output to mp4. Nice intergration of background music... Overall an excellent product.

Buggy Photo Slideshow Director HD. I had arranged all photos in a separate iPad Air2 photos folder (iOS 9.3.5). Upon import to the Photo Slideshow Director HD app, the number of imported photos appeared correct. However, upon reviewing the timeline, images were out of order, some missing and some duplicated. I attempted unsuccessfully to re-arrange the photos in the app's Lightroom table. Based on my experience, this app obviously needs work to remove bugs and add some stability. I noticed another reviewer experienced the same problem. Their solution was to import every photo individually. This is hardly an efficient solution when working with a number of photos. I suggest trying other similar apps, such as Splice, until the developer fixes these bugs.

I am impressed!. Awesome app! Intuitive interface and rich features make it possible to creat professional look-and-feel slideshows rapidly. Thanks for the good work!

Two years later and still.... Buggy....June 1, 2020

Don’t buy. I couldn’t get it to encode my slideshow, and couldn’t get the music to play during preview. It was useless, tried online help, finally gave up.

Intuitive interface & fun to use.. Intuitive interface and quick to put something together. I really like the app. Saving slideshows in different resolutions to see what is best for sharing via Dropbox. It crashed a few couple of times when Exporting to iPhone photo library. The show had over 80 photos (3 sec show, 1 sec transition, and music)... About 5 mins. I figure it's because I'm working on wifi with iPhone, not a computer. I still love it.. Much better than on a laptop.

Quick, easy, but crashes easily. My daughter was getting married and after seeing what videographers cost I wanted to try and do my own. 124 pictures later and 5 songs they had their video. This is a very, very simple program to use with an impressive array of options (additional blank screens, more fonts would be appreciated.) My complaint is that it does crash easily during use and if you try and export it, fix it and I am more than happy to give it a 5 star rating.

Great app!. I was looking for an app that made it fast and easy to make a slideshow for my class at the end of the year. I wanted to include 600+ photos. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because some of my pictures were imported twice and they imported over the pictures right next to them in my camera roll. So...I had to go through 600+ photos and delete the ones that were doubled, then add it back along with the one that wasn't included originally. Not a huge deal, but was time consuming with so many photos. You can also move your photos within the presentation and add effects/editing. I was able to add my own music. I LOVE that the app will sync your music to your show automatically. This app saved me a lot of time. I will definitely use it again!

Upgrade wiped out my two presentations!. First, there does not appear to be any way to contact the developer. The only thing provided is a link to a static web page with FAQ. So my objection and plee for help gets aired here. I was pleased with the previous version, and my only real objection was the lack of the ability to apply a single transition to the entire presentation. So needless to say I was thrilled to read in the "Update" description just moments ago that the feature was added. Sadly, the update wiped out my two presentations. The "projects" appear to be there in someway, just no images attached. If I play the presentation, I see all the spots where images should be, each separated by a transition marker. Very strange. The presentations were a simple test and thus were unimportant, but if that is what is going to happen with every upgarde, then forget about it, I'll be deleting the app. I won't delete them for now. I hope a quick fix is identified and pushed to users and my wayward presentations will be reconnected to the images. I hope the developer reads the reviews.

Bad Update. This was initially a very handy app that allowed me to put together some wonderful slide shows. However, I made the mistake of obtaining the latest version, and now, the program is pretty much worthless. There are the following problems: 1) The default setting is to shuffle the slides and so if you forget to turn this off prior to your show, you must manually reorder each slide. The entire process of rearranging the slides is slow and awkward. 2) Adding text that is centered on the slide is impossible. Whereas in the prior version, it was fairly easy to type out a sentence and center on a slide, the new text editor seems more effective for individual words and does not handle >3 words well. I find that trying to center more than a few words results in small, almost illegible text. 3) The process for adding music to a show seems more complicated than it should be. Please try to update and re-capture the easy interface from the original version

Perfect example of why free trials or free versions are necessary. This app does exactly what it says it will do, so I am sure it will satisfy many customers. But what you can't see until you try the app (paying the entrance fee, of course) is that the themes and transitions lack polish and sophistication. The resulting sideshows look very amateurish. I bought this app because I wanted to do a looping slide show. While I love the slideshows made by the Photos app that comes on iPad, it doesn't allow looping. Unfortunately, this apps slideshows lack the slick designs one is accustomed to from using Apple products. I'm never goings to use this app. I wish I could return it.

Trouble exporting and playing music. It's freezing and not playing music or exporting... how do I get a refund??

Easy to use, good quality, buy it!. This app has good features, easy to use interface, good editing engine, transitions, soundtrack options and a few styles to choose from. All I can say is this is great for photographers and to share with family. If I could ask for one thing, it would be for more styles, or user-editable options for backgrounds. Overall a highly recommended app, well worth the purchase price.

Far better than iMovie. I just downloaded the s/w and wow. It is easy, intuitive and the features are positioned exactly where you need them. Very easy to create a slide picture show on iPad. The pros: 50 transitions , 1080P output, well laid out and uncluttered user interface. Ultra clean and intuitive interface It's less expensive than iMovie and far better for picture slide show. Cons: Can't AirPlay to Apple TV2 . You can mirror but no audio . Even if it could airplay today your output of 1080P would be down converted to 720P by Apple TV2 anyway. So for beautiful 1080P output you still need the HDMI cable. Look for future upgrades to add a video editor. This is the best photo slideshow movie editor out there bar none. Look out apple iMovie.

Won’t Grab All Photos in Album. Super upsetting. Is there a solution for this? I’ve searched & have found nothing.

Avoid this app if you value your sanity. The app could be great... but it's not. It freezes and shuts down randomly. I tried to show our slideshow to some friends and it shut down twice during the show. Then when we got it "working" the pictures were off from the music. Then it would play the pictures too fast. Then it kept playing the same pictures over and over again. When we put the slideshow together it would freeze. We tried to add text and frames to some of the pictures but the additions wouldn't show up on the pictures playing during the slideshow. Then as I tried to upload the show to DropBox it would get to about 80% then shut down. I have tried 3 times to upload to both Dropbox and just to my camera roll. The app continues to shut down and cancel the upload. I'm deleting this app from every device. It's a shame, in theory it could be a great app. In practice it's a frustrating mess.

Excellent. Update 2: Version 2.3 addresses my concerns regarding synchronizing my slides with my music. I am now very pleased with this app and highly recommend it. Also, it is obvious to me that the developer is responsive to the app reviews and has done an excellent job in addressing purchaser concerns and suggestions for improvement. Keep up the good work! Update: Since the upgrade I cannot set the timing for synchronizing with my music and have it hold. Whatever times I set change with no rhyme or reason. It seems to have a mind of it's own. Very disappointing so knock off two stars until this problem is fixed. Reminds me of the mechanic who fixes one thing and breaks another. FIX IT NOW! I was looking for a way to sequence my images and present them in an attractive slideshow and this app allows me to do this. Since this app enables the user to connect the iPad to a flat screen TV via HDMI, that is probably why the app doesn't present the images properly in portrait orientation. Most people view their flat screen TVs in landscape orientation. Also, I was able to vary the times between slide changes and how long each slide remained on the screen. This capability permitted me to synchronize my images with my music so that the slideshow and music ended together. So far I am very pleased with this app.

Songs Repeat in the Middle of the slideshow. Awesome app - HOWEVER - I created a slideshow with about 250 photos. I applied 5 songs purchased from ITunes to play in sync with the slideshow. I noticed the second song in the music list would repeat itself, making it the 2nd and 3rd song to play repeatedly. I made sure it was not selected twice to play in the music list. I would wipe out my song list and apply new songs just to test it out, and it did the same thing. This seamed to have happened after I applied the update. I upgraded again to the recent February 27 update and the problem still exists. Outside of this problem, this is a phenomenal app, and does a wonderful job..but this small annoying problem with song repetitiveness needs to be addressed cause it slows down the momentum of the slideshow and can bore the audience.

Do Not Pay For This!. Useless. Could not add music at all. Can’t believe I paid for this. Ended up finding a free online slideshow maker. What a scam.

Great App, works well, simple to use. This is the only ver. I've used (3.4). Can't say much about before, but this ver seems to work just fine. After searching for something else, even after I bought this app, I can't find anything better or cheaper than this one. They all pretty much do about the same. I like this app because it is intuitive, simple to use, has a fair amount of stuff you can do to the photo including music. I like that it will allow you to piggyback songs. As I write this, the app is encoding a 100 photo slideshow w/music into a video format. Pretty cool.

Really Good Slideshow Program. I just got back from a 2 week vacation in Maui and I usually download my hi rez camera pics down to my iPad 2 to check them out. When I got home I wanted a program that I could make a quick slide show on the iPad to show the family. I tried about 8 programs before running across this one and it does just what I need. This upgrade adds more features that I can use. Nice to see that a good program is being improved regularly. To make a slide show you can dump a bunch of pictures in the time line, throw in a couple of songs for background music and have a nice show done in about 5 minutes or you can take your time and configure each step of the way from titles to the transitions etc. You can also rearrange or remove pictures once the're on the time line which is a very handy feature. lots of configuration choices and easy to learn. Also it only took a few minutes to rip 40 10 meg pictures into a HD movie. When it's done it will make a HD mov movie that can be played on your computer. Looks fantastic on my 24" iMac. Keep up the good work on this.

Photo Slideshow Director - slideshow Pro. I tried several slideshow apps before this one. I tried IMovie but it was very difficult to put the slides together. Slideshow Pro is easy to use and lots of options like upload your own song or put a nice background theme in. I'm not too good with electronics so if I can do it anyone can. I don't give 5 stars very easily to any review this one definitely earned it

HD quality slideshows; powerful and stable app. I have used many of the photo slide show apps out there (at least 10). Most are designed to create super short, low quality videos for Instagram. This app can either be used to create low quality videos for social media (you select length and output quality) OR it can be used to creat unlimited length high quality HD slide shows for watching on your TV. Score!!! You can even add more than one song to the soundtrack and synch the photos to the music. I have created several video slide shows and they are all great. I keep discovering more features. This is a very robust app.

Wonderful, but a few glitches. This app made for a wonderful and very professional looking slideshow projected at a family reunion recently. Everyone was impressed. I use the iPhone 6s and here is a major glitch I had that made the production process very frustrating. When I added photos in multiples all of them duplicated themselves in the app. I would try and delete the duplicates and it wouldn't work. So I ended up having to add 130 photos individually, one by one, to avoid them duplicating. It took a while and was quite tedious and frustrating! That was the only problem I had with it. I do love that the app has so many options to really personalize the slideshow to your liking and I love that you can add multiple songs. One other thing I would suggest is maybe making the photo organization process easier, it was a little tedious getting 130 pictures in chronological order with the current setup. Maybe allow users to be taken to a separate screen where you can use the whole space of the screen to drag and drop images.

Wonderfully Quick and Easy. I wanted to be able to create a fast photo slideshow with good transitions, music and the ability to rearrange photos easily. This app meets all those needs. In addition I love that I can pause it to talk about the slide and continue from where I was. Also that I can pause to make a quick edit or add a subtitle or text. Also like the ability to insert blank pages or preset page images. While the choice of themes is nice, I find that all but about three are distracting backgrounds. Wonderful that I can create an MP4 or QuickTime movie from the slideshow. Wish I could sync it between devices. In reading other reviews before purchasing, it seemed the primary criticisms were not handling video well and crashing frequently. It does crash occasionally but not enough to be a problem for me and I haven't tried video. All in all I am super pleased with this app as a simple but reasonably powerful photo slideshow program. If syncing were added (even if through Dropbox like Day One Journaling) would be nearly perfect for me for photos.

Awesome!. Within just a matter of minutes I was able to take some of my favorite photos and create a cool HD movie on my iPad 2. For myself, this works perfectly and is very simple and easy to use. No complaints at this time. I did this without having to stumble through figuring out how to put a slideshow together. Interface is totally self explanatory. I needed no help figuring this app out. Great job! Looking forward to future updates.

Great App. Looking for a slide show application, I first downloaded a free program called videolicious and was very disappointed because I could only input 10 pictures. I then decided to buy this one and I am so happy I dId. You can input as many pictures as you want, set a theme and add your own music. The program is über easy to use and the end product looks professionally done. You will not be disappointed!

This APP is Garbage. Do not waste your money on this App. I will be trying to get a refund, because the app doesn't work. I reached this conclusion as I didn't believe a pay to own app could actually be this bad. I created a slide show with music, and tried to run it. The app runs for between 4 and 6 minutes then shuts down in the middle of the show. I thought maybe the xfer to my ipod was corrupt, so I erased the app off the ipod and re-loaded it, made a short trial slide show it worked, so I took the time to rebuild the show I wanted to use, same problem, the app closed down after 4-6 minutes. Still not convined anyone would have the nerve to charged for such a piece of junk, I deleted the app from computer (may the download from the itunes store was corrupt) reloaded it to the ipod recreated the slide show, without editding the slide show upon entering it) still has the same problem. Conclusion, the app doesn;t work, I strongly recommend finding another app to do what you need.

Sho Nuff Killa. First time I've tried to create a slideshow on any computer-type machine. I wanted a special Christmas gift for hubby, who recently lost his Mom: a slideshow, with music, of all the better pics we have of her. Pushed about 200 pics to my iPad4 via iTunes (weird cuz I haven't been near it since Sept). Ditto about 3gigs of music so I'd have plenty from which to choose. Tweaked the pics with other iPad apps, then hooked it all up in this app. Ridiculously easy/intuitive to use. Took less than an hour within the app itself, and that was due to my pickiness. Saved the "project" to DropBox. What I really love: the ability to pull that finished product into hubby's iPad via WiFi and his browser -- I've never tethered his iPad to a computer, and with this app, I can keep it that way. (I could have also saved it to Photos & shared via PhotoStream.) The end result looks soooo professional. Can't believe the cheap price -- now that I've used it, I'd have paid $20, with a smile! Grab this - and treat your loved one(s) to a gift from your heart!

Very nice … but … UPDATED!. Increased my rating to 4 stars with the recent update to v2.0 … all my concerns were addressed and several new features/improvements were implemented. Thanks for the prompt action! Love the app, very nicely done. Slideshows look marvelous on the iPad itself, however, when I export the shows as video files to share, the resulting video is very distorted. No matter how I crop the original images, they are stretched on the horizontal and compressed on the vertical to conform to the letterbox format …. Even if I crop the originals to 16:9. If you had a contact form on your web site I would have communicated in that manner … since you don't, I assume this is where you want to receive trouble shooting reports. Until this issue is resolved, I can offer no more than two stars. (I really want to give it 5) ... I realize this is only a 99 cent app, but it was touted as capable of exporting the files … which is why I bought it … and it really doesn't … so until there is a remedy … two stars it is ...

How do I get a refund also?. Misrepresents what it says it does with Dropbox and more. Waste of time

Does the job. I bought this to make a photo and music presentation for my wife's birthday. The end result is excellent, but if had a few annoying missteps along the way. I completed my first pass, added music, edited until I got it where I wanted - 2-3 days. At that point it locked up and would bounce out to the main screen on the iPad. I had to restart the whole process, but learned why and not from the manual. Now that I have figured out the "gotchas", I'm happy with the App. Here's what I learned: (not in manual) - when using music synchronized to slides, do not go over 60 minutes - app locks up and kicks you to home screen when you press play. - watch out for button just below "Pan and Zoom" button. It's called "Apply to all slides". After editing various zoom in and out on hundreds of photos, this button resets all slides to the special features of the slide you are working on. It blows hours of editing. The maker needs to have the pop up "Do you really want to apply to all slides". I hit it by accident more than once. If you avoid these two glitches the App works well - quality result.

Perfect App. This app is the most complete app that I have come across. No I don't work for the developer. It is just that many iPad apps leave you feeling that there should be just a little more to the app when compared to a real PC (sorry) program, but that is not the case here. I felt like I was working with a complete program. Easy to use. Low learning curve. Lots of options when it comes to customizing your slide show, that of course in synced to your choice of music. An app I can use on the couch and make a completed project without wishing I had my laptop. A real find.

Great app. This app does everything that photos should do and doesn't. I combined photos from a recent trip off of 3 cameras, Put them in the right order, added captions, edited for brightness, cropped. All tools easy to do and it saves by itself after the first time. It does crash occasionally with lots of slides, but doesn't lose anything upon restart. Might be an IOS 8 issue since I just installed it and other apps are glitchy.

Great Program for Basic Picture Slide Show. This app worked great for me! It allowed me to add pictures from my phone in the order that I wanted; edit and crop the pictures; add captions to each picture; create fun transitions between photos; and play music from my phone in the background. It also saves your work as you go so that if the app unexpectedly closes for no reason, you don't lose the hours you have put into your slideshow creation. For $4 I have no complaints!

Waste of money. Documentation shows buttons that don't exist. Can't import photos at all.

Could be great, but.... Cannot get music to play with slideshow and cannot export to video. Great functionality, but does not deliver on advertised features. Support department is unresponsive.

Good but can't share. I made a video of Christmas pictures. The app never crashed and was user friendly. The problem was trying to share it with family on Facebook. I chose a song from iTunes that I bought for the background music. I received a message that it would not upload with copyrighted music. (I was not selling anything. The pics were mine and I paid for the song. ) The file cannot be messaged or mailed because of size. I'm not sure why anyone would create a video if they can't share it.

Crashes. Crashes EVERYTIME you try to change the theme. So you’re stuck with the one theme. Not worth the money if you can’t even customize the video how you want. 😡🙄

No “portrait” view!. This app does not allow you to display photos in “portrait” view. It only shows the photos in “landscape” view. This means if you want to use your iPad as a photo frame and dock it, it will display all your photos rotated 90 degrees. Sure, the app lets you individually edit every photo and rotate it relative to the landscape view, but this is hardly convenient when you want to quickly throw 100+ photos up on your iPad as a photo frame. This app is loaded with all sorts of useless features, but lacks basic functionality for “slideshows,” even though “slideshow” is in the app’s name! For this I paid $4. I haven’t hated an app this much in a long time. Avoid!!!

Horrible. Spent so much time getting photos the way I won't but can't get music to play. Garbage app.

Slideshow good, music bad.. The app looks nice, but runs kinda slow. The slideshow works fine and has lots of options, and for an iPad it's relatively easy to use. The music implementation is terrible. It takes forever to add songs, and even longer to delete them. And there is no way to shuffle the music. The feature I would request would to be able to turn off the music altogether, so that I can just list to the music from the music app on my spades. The songs are already there, and can shuffle. But overall what would be best would be if Apple would just reinstate shuffling in the Photo app!!! I actually a, not bothered with all the vide stuff, I am just looking for a simple way to shuffle music from a certain playlist, while also shuffling a large number of photos from a certain album. Doesn't seem like it should be so hard to do, but apparently it is. So, I guess my main gripe is that it is too big and slow for what I need it to do.

Don't get it until they fix problems. This is one of the best apps for slideshows there is, because it lets you do as many photos as you want. Most apps only let you do like 30, which is a waste of time. However this app has a lot of problems, duplicating the photos you add, and you delete the duplicates it deletes the original as well so you have to go back in and re-add it, it's not that I'm too lazy to do it, it's the fact that I paid for the app so I shouldn't have to do that. Songs don't play sometimes it's just the silent slide show. Anyways save your time and money until the "busy" app developer fixes the issues.

Ignore the other reviews. It's a shame that reviews can get posted that are categorically incorrect. I had none of the issues listed in the other posts. At first use it prompted me to access my photo album and quickly and easily created a gorgeous slide show. This app will either do all the work for you and create a great display or allows you to customize as you see fit. I am particular about transitions between photos and the timing of the music to match the duration of the slide show - all of which I could customize and much more.
