BPM 20? Not Slow Enough. Is there a reason why the minimum BPM threshold is 20 BPM? I understand most people wouldn’t want a BPM slower than 20 but does that mean that I shouldn’t be able to if I want to? This is obviously something I feel is arbitrary and shouldn’t be limited. This should be an easy fix.

One of the best music apps. I have the original kaossilator and this app is awesome. The touch screen interface is one of the best innovations of music technology

I stopped recording to write this. It’s crashing in Audiobus almost noon stop... still love it... bug it is in need of an update maybe... and sound expansions please! It’s been years.

Time for new stuff. Come on Korg, this is many peoples favorite app and while the note grid is awesome… can we plzzz get some more sounds, mixer/individual volume control, and individual/global effects? And somehow make this an AUV3? Please, this is STILL the best but come on now

Broken Ankle Fun. I recently jacked up my ankle and have been bedridden. I heard about iKaossilator, downloaded it and have been stuck on it ever since. Rad sounds and easy to use. A cool and creative distraction with or without an injury.

Best music creative app. I have an original kaosilator that was a ton of fun. This app duplicates the original nicely. Create such cool original music. Best app for long airplane & boat rides!

Korg is Korg. Good app! Specially for effects and ambience!! ...i just think that Korg should update everything a little bit more!!! Change the aesthetics and add more sounds to it!!!! More sound libraries on this app should be a priority!!!!! Please Korg... made this happen, there is so much potencial on this one. This is really fun for live performances on your iPhone and iPad.

Crashes every time, causing you to start over.. like others are saying it crashes just about every time on me. No arpeggiator? I Would buy more music packs if Korg added more and if it didn’t crash! I’m. Hopeful Korg will fix this issue. How about a line in or mic access like the mini kaossilator 2s ?!

Useful for Me. I got this because I was looking for some deep bass sounds to insert into my live show. The bass sounds ended up being okayish, but there are enough sounds in here that there's a strong chance everyone will find some that they like. I like several of the Leads, the Acoustics --while not sounding especially acoustic-- do sound interesting, and there are a bunch of the sound effects ones that I really like. Would be great if future versions were more customizable and had MIDI, but I still have to say it was well worth the price.

great, but volume for individual instruments. fantastic app! i love how well the app matches the features of the physical kaossilator. except the app needs the ability to control individual instrument volumes. others have left reviews asking for this feature, and i continue the request. i’ve personally convinced five people to buy this app. it’s really great.

dude. volumes of certain sounds may not carry over as clearly as the original when overdubbing, but that is about the only limitation of this little gem. Basically, through bieng able to upload your own samples via audiophile, the possibilities are endless. No joke. Its beauty is in it’s simplicity, and in the simplicity lies its intricacy. Works better on phone. Works much better on phone than iPad, Pretty basic app and pretty simple sounds, but is a classic mobile experience.

Big time fun. Little Surprises. Small improvements.. I absolutely love this app. It’s fun, easy and intuitively simple. Sure it’s limited in the amount of sounds but that limitation is also a creativity spark. Many may not know or care to bother but you can export your songs via Audio Share/Copy for work in your favourite DAW application. So the notion of this being limited to only your phone is malarkey. One limitation that can easily be rectified however would be the inclusion of a “mixer” to obviously mix the levels more efficiently.

My new favorite app. I saw in an article that they had made this app free for a short time. I love techno music. It does not disappoint and is a great stress reliever. The in app purchase is well worth it.

Fun and productive. It is a lot of fun and some of the music you make can get that infectious groove. Five tracks is plenty but wist never works for me.

Super easy and fun. It does take an hour or 2 of messing around to get it, but once you get how to mute parts, clear parts, and simplify parts quickly, this becomes a fun idea generator. Also learn how to turn off quantizing. For fun, I set up just the drum part to start and then add tiny bits of instruments, or just a bassline to add a little tonality. Then I use it as a super-complex metronome/drone and practice my scales with the groove. Then my 6-year-okd comes up, steals the phone away, and drags his finger around, playing the different instruments. And I just keep grooving along! Have fun.

Come on now. Id enjoy another sound set please Its a great learners app but more variety in sounds should be added Edm sounds is cool But edms evolving quickly So should your sound sets

This app gave me hope!. There were a couple of pretty scary days. Jamming with this app at home inspired my heart and a really cool new song!

Not bad, no landscape support. Great app, but without landscape support it is useless to me. This app has been around for 5+ years and they can’t figure out how to turn the thing on the side (or they don’t care that many of their customers would prefer this ability). I know that personally this has been discussed with the app developer, and still, nothing.

Absolutely freaking awesome.. When I get bored from my music I switch this biccch on and jam out.

Recent updates made it bad. I've had this app since the iPhone 4 days and it's always been a lot of fun. I've made some great loops but recently on the iPhone 6/s the app can't handle too much tapping and crashes after minutes of using. I still believe in the kaosilator but maybe it's time to buy the actual machine and ditch the iPhone app.

WAS really good. The app used to be really good but has been forgotten by Korg, no updates have been made in years so is slow and not working properly

Overpriced and underdeveloped. I wanted to like this app.. of course for $20 I wanted to like this app .. But i can't. 1. It's an iPhone app only.. one of those annoying huge font minimal feature apps that opens sideways on the iPad... 2. The kaossilator has true audio loopers that can be overdubbed with different parts..so a kick/snare from one program can have percussion from a different program overdubbed..not so here.. in this app they are NOT audio loops...change a program and the audio changes.. this means you may use 5 programs only for your track.. huge disappointment and total absolute bummer This app clearly has been left to rot by korg without development for the iPad or features and is a total waste of money

Something different. It’s not a guitar, keyboard or drums. It’s a weird instrument that can keep my attention for quite a while. I’m fascinated and having fun with it still, though I’ve had the app for about 5 years. You don’t have to be a musician or know your scales. You can’t play out of key. Anyway, it’s a good way to spend a while being creative just for the fun of it.

Cool app. This is really fun. The user interface is really dated and sometime hard to figure things out.

More SoundPacks please!. One of my all time favorite music making apps. It would really make my day to see the following: 1. New sound packs with a focus on better drums and bass 2. Individual control of each instrument's volume (faders) 3. Grid view option for the touchpad so note input is more accurate 4. How about some track/master filters and effects?

Fun, but.... This app has great sounds and a fairly intuitive, user friendly interface. I'd like to use it for live performances but can't seem to be able to consistently hit on a specific pitch when I'd like to. Maybe if this app had the ability to overlay some type of visible grid, it would be easier to consistently hit on a specific note or pitch. I can't use this app in live performance in it's current incarnation because it is just to random for me when trying to nail down a consistent, repeatable rhythm line and then overlay a melody. If that were possible, this app would be a TEN STAR app. If you are just into random sounds, this app is great. Another neat addition would be the ability to record live samples and manipulate those with the screen interface. I realize that would likely be a higher cost app, but the world is ready for it and NOBODY ELSE has an interface like this. Keep going, you're nearly there.

Gate arp please. I own three versions of the hardware Kaossilator. They all have an arp. I have owned this app since the day it was released and in every review and correspondence I have begged for a gate arp. Why can’t they implement one? I would pay an in app purchase for one. It makes this app useless and I never use it. I own all of Korg’s apps and this one is the most crippled out of all of them. Don’t get me wrong- Kaossilators are all touch screen so it isn’t a huge leap for a touch device and they pulled it off well except for the arp. They even allowed the option of turning of the flashing lights as requested by many users they never listened when users asked for an arp. Gate arp! The 12 th year in a row I have requested.... please!! I did pay full price for this app when it came out, which was quite a bit to pay for an app 11 years ago. Come on Korg don’t abandon this app…

Updated! 5 Stars!. Thank you for updating! Now I can access my unfinished work and continue my fondness for this great app... edit: uh oh, bugs. It won’t make a sound... Edit: After May 14 update, still not making sound and won’t pause. Thanks for trying to get this fixed, but it’s still not working.

Incredible!. My only complaint is that it's a pain to export/upload so you can let friends hear your new set

Fun way to generate musical ideas!. I love this app. I treat it like an instrument. I love that I can export the loops as audio for use in my DAW. I take them and treat them as samples in maschine, or loops in ableton live, and play with them and mangle them more. I've definitely come up with the beginnings of some killer tracks (in my opinion) with this app. It's fun, intuitive, and the sounds are pretty great! I would love to see more sound packs in the future. I also think it would be AWESOME if it could export to midi, midi control other sounds (like plug ins from my DAW). Perhaps a full blown plug-in for my DAW eventually? It would be great to have some further tweak-ability options for the sounds, or use the generated midi to apply to other instruments.

Great Fun. This is the one instrument I'd have to have if I was alone on a desert island and couldn't bring a jazz guitar. Great fun, doesn't have to be real serious, but could be if you had something special.

Minor problem. The one problem is that when you listen to the pre-made songs you notice how much better they are.I feel you should be able to make music more easily. Which is why garage band is so much better than iKaossilator.

It is so cool you are offering something creative and fun for people to do while staying at home to stop the spread of this deadly virus. I have a KORG Trintity Plus and Triton TAKTILE. I hope to add the new Wave State soon to my collection.

Used to love this app but somethings wrong ??. The record function no longer works properly- sometimes it records other times not. The loop length also doesn’t work any more either- it only records 16 beats even if you have it set to 32 or 64. Confused and disappointed.

Love Kaosilaters Have almost all of them. Needs a mute and level per track!!!

Lack of support.. Korg, this app is dying on the vine. Please add more SOUND PACKS, support for modern iOS features, and as another reviewer mentioned a GRID overlay or something to play notes with more accuracy. This app was great when it came out but feels like abandonware now.

So much fun!. I love this app! Especially it's ability to collaborate! I've even used it with a live band setup!

WARNING: THIS APP WILL SPOIL YOU!. This is the best music sequencer of all time. Period. The included sounds may not be everyone's cup of tea but you will not find a better sequencing workflow anywhere else. You will have so much fun making songs, you will wonder why people think music is difficult. You will try (and fail) to replicate this fun in other music making apps and then come right back to this. There is nothing, NOTHING, more intuitive, more fluid, and more fun for jamming out and putting songs together via software. You've been warned!

Top notch!. The best audio gizmo for iPhone, HANDS DOWN... Very playable despite the small iPhone screen and sounds great. Easy to start, but has the complexities more pro-minded people will enjoy also... Needs the following for 6 star rating: Ability to export recordings Ability to bring in your own samples Ability to play a loop for "x" repeats and then move onto the next loop in sequence. Ability to control filters - deprecate from x-y pad (ie I can record a loop and then slowly raise the filter over 8 bars or so when performing) Still worth the money and only just released, I'm sure we'll see more in future updates!

Love it But. I've got the mini and the pro and this App is like a mix between them both, you got great sounds like the pro and the 5 banks to load up on, but each one only holds one sound, it's more like the mini in the way you can't control the volume of each sound and you can't export ( unless you plug in a lead and record it over in real time) and you can't import sound externally, I love the way you can mix each track one to another, great redo feature,new beats and sounds and works great also on my iPad, at the end of the day this is a great app and well well well worth the money

Good but stuff missing to make it truly useful.. As others have said, the ability to load your own samples in would be very nice. For me, though, the biggest missing feature is the ability to sync to midi, or at very least nudge the tempo. This ap is too limited to every really be able to stand on its own, but with something to get it in sync with something outside of the iOS world, it could be a really worthwhile way to fill in some sounds in a DJ set, or production.

Invert pad. This app is awesome and It will be good too if Korg could move the pad to the lower part of the screen and the beat counter and instrument to the top part so that we could see the beat counter while using the pad to make music. My hand is blocking the beat counter when using the pad

Very entertaining. I'm not musical but love playing with this. When I do everyone wants a turn. Kids love it as well - keeps them entertained for hours.

Outstanding. I've found most iPhone instruments to be underwhelming so far. Most have proven the concept to be little more than a gimmick. But this... Is very very interesting. I found everything to be instantly inspiring, and found myself able to create great sound very quickly. Thank you Korg

Absolutely f*#cking fantastic. I got this as a great free gift from Korg and it surpassed all expectations. This is crazy fun which is what it should be and it breaks free from the linear view of what most music production is. Top stuff. Cheers Korg.

amazing. an amazing and fun music app, could use a little polish/update to the menus and view but functionality is everything. Now I have to buy an iPad just for the new Korg gadget app, a dedicated iPad just for running it.

Fantastic! But shared doesn’t work anymore. This app is great. It has awesome sounds and it’s great when it comes to making a song but when I try to look at shared tracks, they don’t seem to load at all. I don’t know if this is only me but if it isn’t, can you update it by any chance?

Great App from Korg!. I love this. It will no doubt keep me amused for hours at a time. Like everyone else I look forward to any additional functions via next update but that's not going to stop me enjoying it in the meantime.

Out of date . No new sound libraries.. This was good gadget but it appears Korg haven’t updated the program in while. No new features or sound libraries for a long time. Shame really.

Awesome!. Bring on the KP3, I need some effects. This app is better than the hardware . . . O_o and it fits in my palm! Finding the time to play with my hardware is my biggest challenge as I work too much. My Kaossilator will never leave my side now! <3 More than 5 tracks would be cool and it really needs a track equalizer. The delete function is sweet, I can keep the flow going, I wish the hardware deleted like this. Throw some effects controls into the equalizer when you upgrade that for me :) single track effects would be smooth. Some more kicks perhaps?

Wicked. I'll be passing on the need to grab this app to everyone I know. Shame we can't export ringtones wouldn't ever be the same and if u share them a little like instagram it would be really cool.. Still 5 out of 5 for me

Update Works Fine. Great Improvements.. Why aren't people leaving reviews any more? I KNOW that many have been updating this App, because it keeps climbing back into the top 10 music App charts. Well anyway, for my part here is my review. The update works very well, and there are significant improvements to this version. Probably the most important of these is the ability to import your own loops/samples ( read: 'Instruments' ) which can also have filter effects applied to them increasing the scope of music that can be created. Marvellous! AudioCopy & Paste are also now fully supported meaning that you can import and export loops & sounds or even whole tunes to - or from - other compatible Apps! MAGIC. I LOVE this App. Well done KORG!

Awesome. The amount of times I've barely held myself back from buying the hardware unit numbers somewhere in the 50's. So glad that I did. This app is worth every cent. And export function would be nice along with slightly more functionality for Wist support. But if like me you have ever gazed longingly at the hardware and didn't buy it, this is why you waited!

Just A Toy. Without the ability to load your own samples, assign effects and render/export your wavs, this is just a sound toy. The built in sound set becomes limiting very quickly and is only appropriate to a certain music genre. If KORG is serious about forging ahead in the hand held device market, then they need to address these shortcomings. Until then, I will stick to real hardware and not bother with anymore of these products from my beloved KORG.

Cool...but broken on iPhone6. Pretty cool, and great fun plugged into a good PA system with an iPad running compatible apps (though you'd probably go with the hardware options for live use). Unfortunately, broken on my new iPhone 6 as at 23/9/14. Not sure if this is down to display size, iOS8, or something else.

Thank-you KORG. Well it been a long time waiting for this app - to be honest it's fantastic - a great addition to the already polished iOS apps from KORG. There are a couple of things missing like export song and sound cloud, but I don't think that's a problem, it's more an expression and creation version of the kaossillator series. If you mix it in with other instruments in your armada of gear it becomes very helpful. I own the original yellow kaossilator and this shares some of its features - I enjoy using ikaosillator it's sweet !

Time for an update. It’s sounding a bit dated now...how bout some lofi ? Grid not very clear? Let’s have more sounds. Still a great app though.

MS-20. Any chance of MS-20 on iPhone/Itouch ? It's a pity to have it on iPad only. As for ikaossilator, well it's a great app. Nicely done!

Brilliant. This app is excellent. And audiobus support is the icing on the cake. Korg make the best music apps around.

Worth every penny.. Undoubtably my most favourite app. I've spent so much time playing this. A must have for anyone with rhythm and an ear for music!

No manual or support!. This app is a lot of fun, powerful and very useful, but if you live in Australia there doesn't seem to be any contactable support, it's a restricted email address. I just want to import my own sample creations into this app and it would be quicker to either have a manual or some customer support. There isn't a perfect app out there yet, everything is constantly improving, and customer support is an important part of this process, as are good product manuals. Please Korg help us all out.

IKaossilator. Ina decades long search for a rhythm machine that gives the freedom to play in real time without losing the pulse fabulous sounds and great beats Particularly enjoying linking the iKaossilator via Bluetooth into Line 6 amplifi FX100 so that I can practice via headphones with no cables

Almost great. This app is great fun. Its easy to use and you can make some really interesting music with it. However, the fact that you can't see what notes you are playing is very frustrating for me as I am a musician. I really want to start using this as a real instrument, but it's just to hard at the moment to be consistent and hit the right notes. Im not sure how difficult this would be, but myself (and I'm sure many other people) would really appreciate if in the next update, the developers could add the option of having a keyboard so you can see what notes you are playing. Thanks for making an otherwise great app and I hope you can make this happen. : )

This is my most favorite app never. I spend hours just making sounds. I love it and 100% recommend spending the money to get it

Pretty Disappointing. Quite limited, even when compared to its own hardware counterpart (the Kaossilator). It's certainly a big step down in almost every way. For anyone who has any background in electronic music at all, my advice is to steer well clear of this app. The soundbanks are terrible, the XY pad implementation is appalling, and the quality any composition using this app would even offend the deaf. There are much, much better similar apps out there for both beginners and advanced users alike. I had high hopes for this app, but I am now struggling to see how this app has rated so highly to begin with. Verdict: "Avoid".

Awesome value!. As someone that owns a real Kaossilator (and other awesome Korg stuff) I must say, this is a Kaossilaor AND more. It has features the Kaossilator doesn't, and you're only paying, what, 20% of the price? Less?

Amazing!!!!. Only missing feature is exporting but seriously doesn't matter!! It is amazing and for this price you couldn't ask for more. Seriously, you getting a Kaosilator for $10 it is insane!!!! Thank you Korg for this amazing app!!!!

Great app, needs an update!. This is awesome, I get lost for hours at a time.. Please, please, please! Korg give us an update for the new iPads retina screen As the diagonal grey lines over the whole app do not fit properly and the whole frame is 2 thirds across the screen, Also as many other users have requested, PLEASE enable an option to turn off the flashy lights or make it a fairly dim red glow so you can still use it to keep time, that would look boss! Otherwise as it is, it gives me a headache after using it for ages! Thanks Korg, hope you read your reviews!!! Update for 5 stars : )

Really needs an export function.... I bought this app wanting to make music, and yes, it does this very well. However, it can't export the music you make to an audio file! This is apparently coming in a later software update. This is really important feature that I'm sure a lot of people need...

Ingenious. This app is super fun to play with Well worth the money

Great App!. This app works great! has a limited amount of sounds compared to the Kaoss Quad (OBV) but for the money you can't go wrong! Plug this into your daw at home or make stuff on the fly! WISC this with the Ielectribe and you will be unstoppable.

Awesome!!. I'm up to my neck in awesome with this app - I was a little skeptical in the beginning. Once you get started it's additive - this is angry birds for music nerds. It's incredibly easy to use the interface is very simple and straight forward. I've tried all the best music apps(Beatmaker1&2, nano studio, moog flitatron, rebirth and argon synth) and was never compelled to write a review but this time I had to - this app is too much fun. I can't wait to try it on an iPad during a live performance. If you could make this app better all you would have to do is make it so you could export your mix to mp3 or wav and import your own sounds - then it would be hyper awesome.

Loving it!. Very fun. Quantize options are great and I like how it works. Happy accidents abound when you tap and slide faster than the quantize setting, resulting in an interesting arp effect. Wish for scale options to differ per part (or at last wide and narrow options) but I get the idea of keeping everything global and it makes the loop mix function work quite well. Genius app. Have made a lot of danceable and fun music with this.

Great app, needs a grid. Great app, lots of fun but needs a grid because is very hard to hit the same note repeatedly. At least a Gris On/Off in settings.

Do you like making music and having fun. If the answer to the subject is yes then this app will do it for you. The thing that got me besides how easy and fun kaossilator is, is that it is much more flexible and can do way more than is immediately obvious. You can do some very cool things with it. There is no way to not have fun with it, except not using it.

Awesome. Really great app... all it needs is some onboard effects like some distortion.

Had to drop my rating!. Previously rated 5 stars, but since update 2.3.0... Don't get me wrong, this is still one of my favs, but since that update it has made scrolling through the patterns a bit tricky without accidentally selecting a part from one of those patterns, or a whole new pattern. Whereas before it would allow switching between parts from different patterns at different times thru the loop, it now often waits for that part to complete its loop before switching...have a few songs I like to bounce around with, switching parts from (similar) patterns to change instruments part way thru a loop...good thing I still have an older device running version 2.2.2. The addition of a grid, or display of the current note being played (Similar to the KO2) would be a welcome addition, as would better support for transferring files with a KO2.

Well done. Wicked app if u like drum machines and synth this is you. Worth every cent good for novice and beginners. Other worthy apps like this are the imaschine for more advanced beat production. Looking forward to updates. Love it

the best 20ish bucks I've spent in years. what I always tell people is so true for me is is the best app ever jamming with myself on the bus or with others at a Saturday cypher is app is perfection, seriously, get it.

Actually a five star app!. Wow. When I saw five stars, I though, yeah… but.. really? Really. It's excellent. Biggest props to the fellows and gals at Korg.

Fast, fun and inspiring. An ideal app for iOS. Just got my iPhone 4S and having previously owned an iPad2 was happy to see some of my apps carry over. But the small screen real-estate really limits what you can do. But this app is perfect in its minimalism and creative approach. I've purchased quite a few music apps for the iPhone. Many have tried to bring conventional workstation metaphors over with varied success. GarageBand is a great example of this, great sounds, solid recording abilities, but I realized it worked better connected to a MIDI keyboard (except the virtual guitar which is stellar). At that point, I might as well just use Digital Performer / Logic / GarageBand on a computer. I still think GarageBand is exceptional, but I prefer the immediacy of this app. In other cases I've bought stuff like FL Studio, NanoStudio and Beatmaker and just felt underwhelmed. To much menu diving and uninspiring sounds. Some powerful features, but perhaps better done on a desktop computer. I've never used the hardware versions of Kaossilator, but having used many hardware and computer sequencers, I can say iKaossilator is one of simplest. Its actually easier than Garageband and more immediate. But being simple doesn't mean it can't crank out serious grooves, rhythms, and melodies. It may be limited in polyphony (amount of notes that can be played at one time), but there is nothing in the way of creating the core melodies that could be the backbone to a more complete work. iKaossilator can support a wide range of scales and key settings as well as quantization and time signatures. Sound quality is fantastic, with nice clear and punchy sounds that appear to be a mixture of samples and synthesis. A nice well-rounded soundest that some may tire of, but really the fundamentals are here, and there are an infinite amount of ways to combine them. I haven't delved too deep, so I don't know if songs created with this can be exported as Audio or MIDI data. That would extend its professional use. Overall, simply amazing fun.

I can’t export anything. Selecting save the project as ableton project to dropbox opens the dropbox but as soon as I hit allow it crashes the app and all my work is gone

Great app, weird quirks, ableton export feature is poorly implemented. Sound quality of the app is awesome. It unlocks a lot of creativity. UI is a bit tricky, but can be tamed. But not the MOST usable in my opinion. Biggest let down for me at the moment – the Ableton project export feature is poorly implemented. Hey guys, Your ableton project export for iKaossilator needs to export longer samples. When I export sounds from the app individually, not using the Ableton export feature, the samples export at ~14 seconds. This loops the sample so it can grab the tails of the reverb, etc. This is how the ableton export should work, but instead it only exports the exact loop length (in my case ~4 secs) and as a result cuts off the reverb tail. This effectively ruins the Ableton feature. Hope you guys fix this! After that – 5 stars :D

Needs an update. Spent money on this app and loved it until the new iPhone 6 doesn't seem to fit the screen right and is missing some things please update soon!

Add a grid please. Still can be fun. A simple small update to add a grid is needed. 5th star in my pocket.

Just beyond words.... Wow, Korg you crafty buggers you have surpassed my expectations once again! I'm a long time korg user, I own every korg app, I own all products in the Kaoss family, I have a korg r3 and electribe, I base my work off the korg sound ( my synth gt aswell) and this app takes all those synths and effect processors I named above and smashes them all into a nice 10 buck ball and manages to keep my beloved "korg sound" I will be using this app in a project, for sure! I can't wait for some paid download patches :)

Amazing loop creation. I was annoyed when I saw it was $20 and there was no way to demo it but I took a chance and got it anyway. I mean, why not? It's Korg right? Well luckily that was correct this time. We have a winner. Totally worth the cash. I love making music but I'm not always great at coming up with my own loops. This app is fantastic for creating great sounding loops in very little time. Sound Copy support means I can now send loops straight to my favorite DAW app. Perfect.

Wow. All I can say is that there's a reason that almost everyone gives this app 5 stars, an a reason that it's twenty dollars. It's just so amazing and the control is fabulous. No problems for me yet at all! And the soundcloud upload is beautiful. In the future, I think it would be crazy cool if you could create your own loops by patterning samples, but apart from that I have to strain myself to think of how to make this app better!

Unbelievable App. I've been waiting for this app since they released ielectribe on the iPad. So worth the price for lots of fun an adding to live dj sets. Now just make a Kaoss pad app.

Best music app yet. I own an original kaossilator and this app is way better. Out of all the beat making apps, this one is by far the best. Can't wait to sync it up with another iPod. I would love to see an update that allows precise control of the notes, but it is still amazing without that.

Lots of fun creating loops. Couple features missing that I'd like to see. #1 - a mixer to blend the sounds more to the levels I'd like to hear. #2 - if possible a midi export feature or being able to export each audio loop per song separately from one another. $22.00 is maybe a tad high for not being able to export midi or internally mix the levels between instruments sounds. That's my only disappointment.

No sound import ability. You can't upload or import your own sounds and loops. It seems they have no intention of enabling this feature.

ppppuuurrrfffeecctt app. This app is a religious experience. No drugz required. As good as aural sects @-; BUT... Backing up your own patterns might be a problem... There is no way to BU file info, except by trusting the .ipa file (in the iTunes MOBILE APPLICATION .ipa file). The .ipa stays at 17.5MB ALWAYS, so it is not saving. If anyone knows about backing-up solutions, then post it here or email me (see below). I already posted a forum comment at KORG forum. No one answered. Further, the Korg hardware version -- "Kaossilator 2" -- can transfer file data to the iKaossilator, but not the other way around: " Loop recorder data created with a Kaossilator 2 can be imported into iKaossilator, or an audio loop created in iKaossilator can be loaded into a loop recording bank of the Kaossilator 2." THEREFORE, I think if you reset your iPod/iPad/iPhone, then you will lose YOUR inputted pattern data. Although the online manual cryptically promises, "IMPORTANT FOR PC USERS : Please do not delete “.ikaoss.d” folder in iTunes. Your custom loop data will be deleted," this .ipa file has not changed -- even though my iPad's itune's APP profile page states the file has steadily grown larger, as I input more pattern data in the iPad. iTune's APP page states my iKaossilator file is over 25MB! But the back-up .ipa file on my PC states the never-changing 17.5MB. Anyone got any ideas? Fun? Yes! Useful? Meh.. This app is a lot of fun when you feel like jammin out. It requires no musical background and is really intuitive. The visuals are very nice too. My only issue is, I find it hard to hit the right notes, maybe I need more practice. All in all great new refreshing app, 5 stars

On the cusp of greatness.. This was pretty much the very first app I bought—after using it on my brother's iPhone—and it has never been uninstalled. I love using it to improvise tunes as I walk through the streets, like some kind of onanistic, musical flaneur. With just a few sparing additions and refinements, like: optional grid view, synth fine tune, import/export audio bus stuff, maybe effect control - this could be greatness itself.

Not impressed. I love Korg But this is 20 bucks I’d like to get back it’s just a hip-hop machine there’s no style to it there’s no other means of expression except EDM and hip-hop so if that’s your thing go forward. I’m more of an ambient guy myself And there’s nothing gentle or soft or pleasant about this app. It’s really good at giving you I headache.

Great App but......MORE GREAT SOND SETS NEEDED. Needs more sound sets like rock, blues, fusion rock, orchestrations, vocals, synths, just think outside the box on this. The sounds on here are really not my cup of tea, kind of average! This app has the potential to knock it outta the park, let's just do it, ok?

Waste of money!!. App is nothing like the original Kaossolator. Much more basic, sounds super cheesy and style EDM trash. Korg is using their name ID to sell apps that are nothing like the real physical products. There are much better apps for less money, don’t buy it just because it has the Korg name.

Great but -. My kids want to use this but there is no way to disable the overly flashy visuals. No epilepsy warning either. Can you please do more to tone down the visuals so people can just listen with their ears?

A Classic that needs updating. The original Kaoss pads are legends. There’s no reason why the app is not updated to support modern features. It should at least support Inter-App audio.

iPhone se. I have an iPhone se and the screen for iKaossilator is for bigger phones. In the pull down menu for saved tracks, half the tracks are off screen.
