Server error. Is this still supported? Getting a continual server error, and app will not load.

Doesn't work well with iOS 12. Opens but cannot click within the app without closing and reopening over and over, nothing loads beyond the home screen most of the time. Content is great, app is not.

Great app but needs an update. It’s kinda glitchy and there haven’t been any new stories since 2020. If you added new stories it would be great.

Decent. App works well after an iPad reboot. Then videos play and instruction screen will not lock you out. Wish there was a way to turn off notifications. Even with them turned off in the iPad settings....notifications still show up on the app icon...should be a setting in the app settings, as well.

Update not compatible? -- FIXED!. Newest update will not install on iPad 4 running iOS 9.3.2 Update: Thanks to newer update, iPad 4 is supported again. Thanks!

Doesn’t work. The app doesn’t work. It cannot connect to the server. It is useless.

I love space. I have been in space for a long time I even have KSP and I love getting to know more about space this is helpful for getting to find out more about space.

It’s okay but some problems.. There has not been any stories on the app since 2020. When i first downloaded it it said the app was down. Some stories say “not yet downloaded” . Other than that the stories are very educational and I recommend improving this app.

Great upgrade for a great app!. Love the new feature that lets you save stories for offline use! The stories and the visuals continue to be amazing... Keep it up!

Stunningly beautiful science at its best!. Many info capsules of various astronomical topics, videos with narration, beautiful photos. I don't give many five star reviews but NASA deserves them all. If you love the mystery and thrills of outer space, be sure to get this totally free one.

No videos. Love the content and app but I can never watch the videos with the articles. It says playback error and on my iPhone I don’t have the ability to fix that

Error message. Just read about this app in a Mac magazine and was very excited to try it out. Unfortunately I am getting the "oops, there was a problem loading the story feed" message and have not been able to get into the site. I've heard its impressive with spectacular photos and am anxious to view it for myself on the new iPad. Hopefully this problem will be corrected in a day or two.

Good but not great. I love getting NASA news on my phone and think the app has an aesthetically pleasing design but find it only slightly more useful than a link to the NASA web page. Start embedding the short videos and expanded pictures for the stories instead of linking back to the website for everything.

No New Stories Since Oct. 13, 2016 w iOS 10.2. Since the mid-Dec. 2016 update of NASA VIZ app I have not received any new stories in my VIZ app (that already appear in the NASA SVS gallery thru 2017). I have re-installed the latest NASA VIZ app but still no success. It appears there is a compatibility issue w iOS 10.2 on an iPad Pro in receiving new VIZ stories.

Glorious Visuals = Gorgeous App. The app is filled with wonders. The app explains a lot about the workings of our world through easy to see concepts and glorious photographs, videos, and graphics. The exciting, attention-getting content will keep you coming back. It's a gorgeous and impressive app to explore. I would highly recommend this app to a friend or colleague.

Wonderful for student inquiry and interest. I use NASA Viz in my Earth & Space Science class. I love that i can use this to illustrate concepts, but even better is that students can use this to see the real life application of NASA research. I feel it helps make scientific inquiry and the scientific method seem real to students, rather than just a concept they are taught. Usually after students look through the app they come up with further questions. I.e. this app helps my students want to learn more!

FANTASTIC!. This app is only suitable for humans between 10 and 100 years of age. Its scope ranges only from planet Earth to the detectable universe. Despite those limitations, it is better than any of my 60 years of science fiction. And, it does contain news, photos, video, facts, and travel ... All, where no one has gone before.

New Way to Explore NASA Science!. This is a different kind of science app from the folks at NASA. This app lets you play with some of the incredible images captured by NASA satellites – the images behind the science – and explore the Earth in a whole new way. My favorite story in the initial collection showed the beautiful patterns of the ocean food chain all the way down to the plankton – amazing.

Layman's Multimedia Guide. This is a very cool app that provides a continually-updating stream of "Stories" published by NASA about what's going on in Space Science. In addition to pictures and text, there are usually short films to convey a good "feel" of the events. Can't wait to read all the backdated ones, and look forward to getting notified of new ones!

Amazing. Great visual and pics to keep you updated and interested, interesting news articles that keep you informed so when the next person who asks you "what's up?" You will Know just what to say!

Great App. I love this app. It is beautiful and has short and interesting articles that range over the breadth of science using satellite photography and video. Perfect for the interested non-scientist. App works very smoothly 90 percent of the time.

Amazing.. This app is nothing short of amazing. Visual explanations of compiled satellite data and other observations bundled into clips and short briefs. Science and technology available instantly at home or anywhere, this is what helps make the Internet such a powerful tool. Thanks NASA!

Updates Are Coming!. I read that the editorial staff has changed, but that new content is being released. I thoroughly enjoy the breadth of topics this app provides and the visual content presented. I highly recommend sharing this with children, too.

The app doesn’t load. When I open the app the circle thing doesn’t load, I can’t get into the app can you help me?

Older device support. I great app but no longer supports iPad 2 which leaves the perpetual update notification on the App Store icon. Needs a fix from Apple to remove unusable update notifications.

Amazing. My friends and I are really into space and NASA and this is the best app we found for research. It really is amazing.

App has design problems. I had to delete this app because it does not manage its push notifications correctly. It is not clear how to load updates or delete unwanted videos. Also the app does not have an entry in the Settings / Notifications control panel as it should by Apple standards, so there is no way to turn notifications off. The developers need to work some more on the interface to make it possible to manage stories. Currently the system is not usable on a long-term basis. Also, be forewarned that many of the "stories" have a global warming propaganda agenda to them.

Incredible!. I love this app so much! I only have one request. Have you ever thought of simulating what might've happened if Hurricane Sandy had been as bad as the early predictions suggested? The article would probably show how the hurricane would've gone from the ocean onto land, by displaying what it looks like from space; a close-up of ocean/land/wind/etc & how the hurricane affects land/buildings/etc; etc. It would be really interesting if these timelines/parts/etc could be controlled by interactive/touch screen/etc controls & features. It's hard sometimes to compare the far-away space view & close-up view when the video clips of each view are shown at different times. Thanks if you can do any of these things & keep up the incredible work!!!!!

Great NASA CGI collection. If you like the standard of what NASA does best, CGI, then this app has put many of their collections together in one big composite reference. Thank you NASA (Never A Straight Answer). Would have made it five stars for just one additional composite of this planet from space like Pluto.

Absolutely amazing product!. You can use your iPad to explore earth with NASA. These videos and high res photos look spectacular with the iPad interface. The videos are fascinating

So cool, so visual AND educational. This app makes me proud that we have NASA. Nobody else would bother doing this because they ultimately need to profit. Very few would attempt to learn this info on their own, but this app makes learning deep scientific a highly enjoyable experience. If there is a single reason to put an iPad in the hands of a child, this is it. Boys in particular will be fascinated. Come to think of, this is the perfect commercial. Call your Congressman and tell them to protect NASA, not Wall Street.

Very Informative!!. The app was not what I expected it to be, but I found it very interesting! The app gives relatable stories about events happening in space and on Earth. For example, an informative story about Hurricane Katrina and how NASA's technology has evolved since 2005 to better understand the natural disasters. Loved it!!!

Go you all!. Absolutely love that you all at NASA are putting time into this! Also, the app itself is quite nice to use, but perhaps you could consider making the function of how you can menu reveal thru tapping on the NASA logo more obvious.

Crash !. When I open the app it has an error message. Deleted app and downloaded three times, still has error message.

A must-have for science geeks!. NASA scores big with this impressive app, which highlights the fascinating research being performed by NASA's fleet of earth-imaging satellites. The images are amazing (and beautiful), the short films are highly informative, and the interface is easy to navigate. Go, NASA!

Update it. It would usually crash on my device, and I can’t save the pictures. I wonder if you can fix it right away?

Instructions won't close.. I am very excited to view this app! The visuals look amazing so far..however..I clicked the instructions tab and view the 4 pages and when finished, I tried to close it and it would not respond. I shut down the app and re-opened it and it was still stuck on that page. I'm sure you guys will get it working soon enough. Thanks for making it!!

Not working. It keeps say my network is not working evening my network is work.

Extraordinary good show.. You will see the Earth and other things in a way you've never seen before. The time-lapse videos from the point of view given by a satellite are extreamely well done. Customer support is very, very good. After my iPad upgrade to ioS5, many apps became buggy. I emailed NASA Vis and before 8:00AM the next morning I received an answer and fix. Try it, I know you will like it.

Fabulous app but keeps crashing. we've been unable to use this app since the last update. it launches to the home screen and then never loads. finally, it crashes... please fix, as this is a favorite in our home! (surely getting an app to work is easier than launching a shuttle into space :)

More. This app is awesome and I hope NASA keeps the visualizations coming. Would like to see data visualization of CO2 emissions and other things pertaining to climate change, specifically.

Great App But It Crashes. I love the idea of this app and what it is for, but the crashes are a bit frustrating. I'm using an iPhone SE with iOS 10. Hope you guys can get this fixed. The crash occurs while in the app settings menu.

Great app. Great app as always from NASA. There is a glitch however if you select the tutorial. The CLOSE button just doesn't work so you can't get out of the tutorial. I had to delete the app and reinstall to get it to work.

Very good app but very glitchy 👍🏼😒😒. I love using this app and very useful for educational purposes but very glitchy as when you try and go to the next article it just freezes and sometimes you have to get back in and out of the app. Also they only have old articles please make new ones if possible.

Not compatible. The latest version 1.9.10 doesn't run on older iPads and iPhones and yet is offered as an upgrade that you can't install. You are stuck with an upgrade sitting in the App Store. If we can't install it why is it offered as an upgrade?

Excellent Application. From what I can see, this application seems to be the best of its kind. The information pertaining to astronomical exploration easily surpassed my expectations in quantity, as well as quality. Not only are the given stories organized, but they are aesthetically pleasing, and greatly intriguing as well. This app is definitely a great utility for the common space enthusiast, and I would undoubtedly recommend its use for both informative and leisurely purposes.

"direct link to our satellites" lies!. This is a simple "presentation" app. It doesn't actually give you any access to see what the satellites are doing, or what information they're sending back. It just gives you little "articles" about things with pictures and videos.

Stuck in the tutorial screen. I am unable to pass the tutorial screen. That's lame!

Fascinating glimpse into NASA's world. I have been delighted by this colorful window into the work done by NASA. I've always admired space exploration and science, but it can be difficult to connect with. I was impressed at how many stories and photos are loaded. I hope they keep adding more! Especially the videos. They are probably lots of work, but it really adds to the experience!

Cannot load. Why will this not install onto my iPad? I keep getting a prompt to log into iTunes on my computer. Frustrated with this!

Instructions locked. Yikes... Don't select the instructions page... You'll be locked out of the program.

NASA. APP. Great visuals, anyone interested in space pic's will enjoy It is truly not that easy to navigate or user friendly. Some more video's with audio included would be a nice touch

What a pity.... Daffy instructions page on launch will lock up, video's do not play at all and interface is almost, well, antiquated! Sorry guys for all the intellectual capacity in your pool this, version at least, is a fail!

????. This was a great app, but they stopped posting months ago. I'm guessing everything is on the plain "NASA" app, but I'm not sure. I'm somewhat frustrated that they never informed me about whatever transition they made.

This is awesomeness!. Space at it's finest. Transit of Venus is breathtaking and the music is stunning! My 7 year old and I both were awed. I wish there were more apps like this. iPad and NASA-a pairing made in heaven (snicker).

Bad NASA app. Loaded NASA app and after 5 tries quickly deleted it...Is this the kind of quality control that NASA really wants to let people see. They should get it right, really right before releasing it!!

Good with a single problem.. Overall this is a very good application, except for a bug. Sometimes you can only hear the sound with no video.

Worthless. Update completely ruined the app! If you have a previous version of this don't download the update. The update basically makes the app unusable.

Needs updated. The visuals and content are great, but aren't fully executed. Text is sized too large to actually read - one word filling and entire line of text that must be scrolled through. Visuals in contrast, could be larger. Make some updates and this is a great app, but just not functional yet.

Sadly Underwhelming. If you are interested in space you will probably find this very limited and disappointing compared to what it could/should be. If you don't really know anything about the images captured by NASA, you may find this interesting for 5-min. I dont even know where to start with what need to be fixed. Just Sad.

To boldly go.... ...where only the newest devices can go. Latest update is incompatible with my iPad 3, so it's either bye-bye NASA or stuck with the perpetual "Big Red 1" on the App Store icon. Unfortunately, I can't get government funding to obtain the best technology.
