Expensive for what you get. It's cute and has nice calming music, but for $1.99 it's a little disappointing. Not really a story here...you just tap on various lights that are still on in the farm house. When you do that, it takes you into that room and it shows an animal that is still awake. As soon as you turn the light off in its room, the animal goes to sleep and the narrator says "good night cow." Before turning their lights off you can touch the animals and they make noise, but that's the extent of the interaction you get with the app. There are other apps in the store with more of a story line that are the same price and have just as much interaction. I wouldn't say it's a complete waste of $1.99, but it should be priced at 99 cents at the most.

Great app before bedtime. Love the app! Has become a nighttime ritual before my 3yr old's bedtime. Has been for about a month now. I added the extra animal packs every couple of weeks and my daughter gets ecstatic on the night when new ones pop up. Developer take notice: Now that I have all the animals, the only thing that would improve this app is if there was a randomize setting you can select on the menu. If you could limit it to 6, or 9 animals at random, that would be cool. You know, not every light needs to be on in the house every night. It would be exciting to see what animals were "still up" each night.

Love this app!!. I have eight grandsons, four ranging from ten months to 2 1/2 years. They just love this app and their Grammy loves it even more. When I am visiting their families, one of my favorite times of the day is cuddling with my little ones as they listen to the story, "interact" with the animals and turn out the lights. I often wonder how many times they would listen without getting tired of hearing it. Finally I have to say 'nighty, night' to all the animals as well as to my little boys.

Jon's Mom. I've used this app with my severely brain injured son for five years. He's making miraculous progress & this app is perfect at every stage of his journey. He was a Shaken Baby who was vision impaired & could barely swipe at a tablet. Now he's using his pointer finger to "shut off the lights!"

Magic!. This app is the reason I purchased an iPad. My little boy is in love with this and must read several times before bed! He will be two in a few months and his attention completely lock to this program. Also the duck makes him laugh when he dives in the water. Only complaints is his little fingers have a hard time finding the small area for the switches, the fish pond needs to be moved, and the animals need to be programed to finish their action before they allow another (he's a very impatient clicker). I'm really hoping to see more books like this soon, it's just too good and beautiful to be this short!

The best!. This has been the best interactive book I have found thus far!! Many others have been okay but many more just aren't worth the space it takes and the money. I just bought it today and my two year old has read it more times than I can count.... No other book kept her going back as much. Please make more with the same quality of story and interaction!

Be aware of the different language versions. Bought this app because it had the Portuguese version and was extremely disappointed with not only the way the story was narrated (with a robotic voice), but also with numerous inaccuracies. It sounded like someone was reading straight out of a Google translator - not worth it if you are looking at a different language other than English.

Beautiful, simple and catchy. Love this app! My 18 month old loves it! And so do I. I also bought the extra animals. I love the different languages since we speak Spanish, English and German at home. I wish there was an option to which animals to show. Perhaps more seasons too. Other than that I am very happy with the purchase:)

Wonderful app. Our 2 year old loves this app. We read it every night before she goes to bed. She loves hearing all the animal sounds and making the animals go to sleep. It has the best animations of all the toddler apps we've seen. We're thrilled more animals are available. Please keep creating apps like this one! Love the winter scenes - it's so relaxing to watch the snow fall. It would be great to add something in the settings that allows you to choose the season so we can access the snow scenes even after winter ends.

More please!. My 2.5 year old loves this little night-time app. It's not a game...and not really a book. it's just a simple (but very high quality) app that allows the child you turn the lights off on a series of animals. Each animal has 3 "awake" animations to interact with. My daughter does always ask about the dark window in the upper left..."is there a kitty in there?" - a kitty would be awesome! Or a horse? Or what about Nighty Night jungle or Nighty Night Zoo? We want more!!! :) Also - it would be nice to have some what mid-stream to start over. My daughter accidentally turned narration off...and I had to basically run through the whole app to get back to the start to turn the voice over back on. A way to access a menu screen would be great. Thanks for a wonderful app!

Pretty Graphics, 2-yr old likes it, short though.. This app consists of a house with several lights on. You tap on a lit room, the room comes into view. There's an animal in the room that's ready to go to sleep. you turn off the light via a switch and the animal sleeps. You zoom back out to the house view, rinse, repeat. The graphics are top notch. The animals offer some limited interaction. The narrator's voice is nice and polished. My daughter enjoys playing it. it's definitely one of those games that will probably not last her more than a month or two of interest, but, I personally thought it was worth the money. I'd like to see an expansion of the animals, perhaps show people in their rooms getting ready to go sleep or something. Overall, it's a decent app.

Doesn't Download. After reading all of the five star reviews, I decided this would be perfect for my granddaughter so I purchased it. I downloaded it to my iPad and it opens long enough to show a star and say it's loading then closes out completely. I tried to contact tech support through the App Store but just get directed to the developer's website with no option to receive help. This looks like an adorable app but I lost my money purchasing it and can't honestly even rate it one star, although I am only due to the fact that maybe it will catch someone else's attention as they read the reviews.

Lost purchase on iPhone with update. This is one of my very favorite apps. I bought all the animals years ago. With the latest update, it will not restore on my phone, and I would have to repurchase it. 😪 It only works on my iPad. Any way to restore the purchase on my iPhone please? I would change to 5 stars ⭐️. Thank you.

Nighty Night. What fun my four year old grandson and I had today listening and touching the various parts of the book. He wanted to do it again and again. We had so much fun together- that was the best part. It is amazing to watch his little finger touch the screen and seem to know how to make everything work. Charming book. He actually fell asleep right after the last character said "Good Night".

Not Happy. I purchased this app back in April of 2016 and have had it on both my iPhone and iPad for all these years. My grandkids love to play it (even purchased ALL of the extra animals). However, at some point the app stopped appearing on my iPhone and when I try to redownload it the only thing that comes up in the App Store is another version that costs me $2.99. I already paid for the app and still have Nighty NIght Circus on both iPhone and iPad. However, Fox and Sheep are now saying you have to purchase the iPhone version of Nighty Night separately if you want it on your phone. Sounds like all they want is revenue and I don’t think I will be purchasing anymore of their apps. I really get tired of buying apps and at some point the developers decide to slightly change something and in doing so expect you to just blindly fork over more money. Not great customer service. Would complain to Apple but I’m not that tech savvy.

DONT CHANGE IT!. Play this nightly with my three year old, after reading a traditional book. He adores it! After reading the reviews I was hesitant to upgrade as my son too loves the music and pig buttons and has the old intro memorized! However it looks like those issues have been remedied. Dont change a good thing! While its true this is not a book, I hesitate to call it a game either. The app is sweet, calming, beautiful and I personally like the short length helping us keep bedtime in check! Worth every penny.

How I love it since childhood….. This was my ever favorite app since the age of 4 since it has lots of animals and me to go to bed which is so cool. I love the fish,and the cats because I have 2 cats named meow and macaroni.

Both our kids LOVE this app!. This night time story/app has been a regular favorite of our kids (3 and 8) for over a year now. Amazing...over a year, and it still holds their attention just as beautifully as when we first got it! It's made bedtimes much easier for us. We let the kids know its almost time for the animals to go to bed...they need to get ready to go tuck them all in, and they'll go right up and brush their teeth, wash up, and get ready, because they know its part of our routine. They tuck the animals in in Nighty Night, and then mommy or daddy tucks them in....and everyone (as far as hey a concerned) is off to sleep...getting ready for the new day that will be coming soon! Wife and I HIGHLY recommend this app!

Fun and different. My 3 year old and I had a blast with this. It was a fun change from the usual bedtime stories we read every night. The only thing is, we both wish there were more interactive pieces in each scene! A little more would make it so much more interesting! We were pressing on the bottles, hay, and everything else in the scenes and nothing happened. If there was more interactive stuff it would be the best for bedtime routines!

Great App. Great bedtime story for my grandchildren.

Great app, needs kid-usability work. My daughter adores this app. She's two. However, there are a couple of things that need optimizing for little fingers. 1. Move the fish pond on the main page so it's not in the same spot as the arrow that she just pressed. The primary issue is that she's too excited to tap only once, so she keeps going back and forth between fish and main page, getting increasingly frustrated and correspondingly loud. 2. For the same reason, please recode all animals so that they finish their movement before another tap is accepted. (The exception here is the fish). The biggest offender here is the chicken. Child desperately wants to see the egg drop, taps chicken approximately thirty times, misses egg dropping because the chicken is busy obeying the last tap each moment. 3. Finally, please make the space to put out each lamp larger. Ideally, pressing anywhere on the lamp would suffice. This is not a child who's figured out how to turn off an actual light, after all. Many, many thanks. Obviously, I only have comments at this level of detail because the app gets used ALL the time. UPDATE: I sent this to the developer and got a quick response that they're considering these ideas for the future.

Miss the old intro.... Disappointed with the update, but app is still lovely. Beautiful graphics and my 13 month old daughter loves putting the animals to sleep. The new lengthy goodbeans into is annoying and we too miss the pigs and lovely music from the last version. If I had known we wouldn't have updated since I didn't have any problem with bugs in the old version. Hopefully they will bring back the pigs and music for the intro and make the goodbeans portion shorter. Would have given five stars otherwise.

Wonderful Children’s App!. I got this many years ago and my grandchildren have continued to love it! When they sleep over at Nana’s, we always put the animals to sleep before they go to bed. It reminds them that everyone goes to sleep! I purchased the extra animals and they are even more adorable than expected! What a great job the developers have done on this app and I highly recommend it. The app works like a charm and we have used it regularly for at least six years! When I have run into a glitch, their customer service is outstanding.

Our favorite bedtime app. From the calming narration to the beautiful graphics and the fun animations- it's the perfect bedtime app for our almost 2year old son. It even puts me in a state of calm and I'm yawning along with my son. Each time he turns a light off and says good night to an animal, he seems to feel a sense of accomplishment as he smiles at me and decides which animal to visit next. He's not even 2 yet and he can do it all by himself. We love it so much, we purchased the add on animals. Well worth the money.

Good nights FINALLY!!. I bought this app for my then 9 month old daughter. Nights were getting really bad for her. I tried establishing a nighttime routine for her, but she would not let me put her in her crib without waking up and screaming. Since I tried this app, I have had little to no problems getting her to bed at night and I've never had to play it more than twice through. I think I'm going to have to buy some of the new animals, though because she is starting to become immune to its charms, but all in all, I'd say it was worth the price of the DEVICE just to have this app!

No story here.. Story? Are you kidding me. Yea, it's an interactive...what? No. There is no story here. The narrators (English) voice is nice. It's also nice to see so many other languages. However, besides the 2 sentences in the beginning and end, all he says is goodnight for the 6 I think animals. I expected a lot more of a story to help my kids get to sleep. I read them long books, with actual stories. This wouldn't fit on a half a sheet of paper double spaced. I'm sorry to be so blunt, but this is garbage, based on what it lures you in with and what it delivers. The visuals are nice, not garbage at all, but how dare you claim any sort of story.

Fantastic. This is a fantastic bedtime storybook. I play it for my son every night before he goes to bed and he absolutely loves it. I love it even more, if that's even possible, after the last update, when it introduced fully narrated versions in other languages (and like the English version, the Italian version is well done). This is great for anyone raising a bilingual child in any of the languages this book offers. The only thing that would make this even more appealing would be if an option to view text would be included. I know it wouldn't be ideal for visual purposes, but as an option it would make the book even more appealing as an educational tool.

Great for toddlers!. This was one of the first apps I purchased for my now 2.5 year old son. It has remained one of his favorites. I love the different languages (my son has picked up the names of the animals in spanish). It's a quiet time story so I'm not sure why people expected a lot of " gameplay." I highly recommend this app as well as the Little Fox one. I paid for both; not downloading Nighty Night while it's free would be a shame.

Great app! Please add more content!. Fox and Sheep, you've done a great job with this app, thank you! Could you please add more content? Specifically, it would be really good if the last scene that says "it's you," was a mini depiction of the child's likeness. That could be set by the parents ahead of time, or could even be an activity the child does when they first play. On a side note, my daughter inspired this review by pointing out, "It's not me, I'm not a boy." Thank you again for the great program up to now. Keep up the great work!

Finally... Perfection in a kid's book. This book finally proves to me that a kids book can be as great electronically as they are on paper. The art work is stunning, the narration is pitch perfect and well-suited to it's theme. The interaction is simple enough for a two-year-old, but intriguing enough to last to their teens... And even then some for nostalgia's sake. What a reward for the developers to have created such a new and cherished bed-time routine for so many families. Buy this book, it is truly art.

terrific bedtime treat. My three year olds love this app and ask for it every night. They're practicing taking turns choosing each room and are most delighted by the animations they did not notice the first 100 times around. I've purchased both addition packs and think the pricing reasonable. There's no ads during the story so the experience isn't spoiled in the least if you don't buy them. There's a lot of animals to begin with. I agree that it would be cute to have an option to select the number of animals awake (with some animals already in bed) if you wanted to make the entire sequence shorter. Sitting through the 30th time through this app at bedtime, my husband said he'd pay to have Less animals. Haha. PS. My kids love the goat. We finished potty training so they didn't need to be told that goats poo and I have no problems talking about it. I mean, really, a trip to the zoo will show you so much worse.

Gorgeous, lush book. This rich interactive storybook has held by son's attention from 4.5y to 6y. He loves it, and so do I. We don't read it / play with it every day, but it is a go to storybook when we need a gentle, calming little bit before bed. Make sure you tap on the animals three times before and after you click off the lights to get the full range of what they each do. Would love more animals, or better yet, more books from these creators! So inventive and theatrical!

You show that you understand what parents are looking for for small children. Not mindless games that 40 year olds who are still living in their mothers basements live for. Lets truly be grown up and not cry and complain when the free app isn't for "us." Get a job, people.

Prefect for bedtime. This a a great app for bedtime. there are no words but fun interaction for kids putting each farm animal to sleep. Once they turn off the lights they can't be turned back on so kid moves to next animal. Once all animals are asleep the narrator points out that one person is still awake "the child". Then tells them goodnight and tells them to turn out the lights when going to bed. we always read a bible story, sing songs, say prayers and finish off the nighttime routine with this app. Kids love it!

So sweet!. I downloaded this book after reading all of the great reviews and I have to say it went beyond expectations. The graphics are just beautiful and creative. The narrator's voice is soothing. My 16-month-old hasn't quite figured out the light switches but waves night night to each animal. Definitely going to become part of our bedtime routine. Worth every penny.

Great app!. We got this app for my little girl. At the time she was just about 2 1/2 and she loved it. She is now almost 3 1/2 and still loves it. It was great that they added new animals as well. I have already told some of my friends that have little ones they should get this app. My daughter likes playing it right after we read books and go to bed.

Wonderful Book/App!. My 2yr old daughter LOVES this book & it's worth every penny! In truth I would give it more than 5 stars until the last update 9/2/11. We're not one's to turn off our iPad so when I did the update & it didn't load anymore & my iPad was locked up. It took a restart to make it work, if AppleCare didn't tell me try a restart I wouldve put much less stars. So fix the updates so people who don't turn their iPads off much don't flip out & think something awful has happened & 5 stars hands down.

Wonderful interactive game for toddlers. I was impressed by how engaged my two year-old is by this wonderful app. It helps settle her down to get ready for bed and it was interesting to see how she overcame the challenge of finding each animal's light switch to help each one go to bed. I enjoyed observing how my daughter sought out more animals to meet and help and the app has obviously been designed by a team that has a strong background in progressive reveal of information and usability by offering layered hints with subtle interactive design cues and arrows to point the user in the right direction if they're unsure what to do next. This app's quality visual and interactive design are terrific and I felt compelled to buy more animals to add to the experience. The interactions when touching the goat had me laugh out loud. Hilarious!

Fantastic for my toddler. This app is simple, but offers my 2 year old a chance to be silly within bedtime limits. Once the lights are off, he can't turn them back on, but he can poke the animals a few times for good measure. I did make an in-app purchase, probably more for myself than for him. Love the illustrations. I figure when he is tired of it, we can play again in a different language. Well done.

My toddler LOVES this App!. My toddler has fallen in love with my iPad, and so I have been downloading apps appropriate for her. This is a really, really good one, and keeps her entertained for a while. Further, it has become an incentive for her to go to bed. If my toddler were reviewing the app, she would give it a 10. The adult (me) gives it a 5: well done, great animation, good story line for a 3 yr old, easy navigation, great price. It doesn't get a 10 from me [wink-wink) because I wish there were other related stories [ i.e. Nighty Night Forest, Nighty Night Jungle, etc...]. I hope the company will consider extending their Nighty Night line of stories, and for those to have the same high quality of this one. Oh, and I forgot to mention, I love the multi-language platform. I take advantage of the English, Spanish, and French versions [as we speak all of those at home]. Thank you for doing this. It is hard to find decent Apps with a Spanish or French platform included!!

Biz çok beğendik! We love it!. We play it with our son together. He enjoys it every each time since he was 8 months old. Now he is 18 months old and it is a great app to keep him busy especially when he doesn't want to sit in his car seat. We speak Turkish and English and I love that it has different language options. Lovely Animation, Soothing Narration, and an Almost Perfect Bedtime Ritual. I just put my daughter to bed for the third time in as many nights with this wonderful iPad app. The animation is first-rate, the narration is distinctive yet soothing, and the conceit is helping our almost-two-year-old get in the habit of preparing herself for sleep after helping the farm animals turn out the lights. Two small updates would make this a five-star review: (1) slightly faster response times when touching the animals; and (2), adding an option to touch the lights themselves to turn them off (as tinier, less nimble fingers can have a hard time touching the small switches and buttons). But don't let those minor quibbles stop you from downloading this app now. The prices is more than right: It's a steal.

First time worked a treat!. Just used this for the first time on our very active 15 month old daughter. She relaxed straight away and understood how to turn the lights out. By the end she was yawning and rubbing her eyes. I let her turn some of our home lights off on the way to her bedroom and she let me put her sleeping bag on without a complaint and within 3 mins was fast asleep. Niiiiiiiice! Maybe a zoo version or jungle version just to keep parents sane with a little variety so it's not the same every night.

Nighty night. This is gorgeous. I am puzzled though as I purchased the first version then got the winter special but now don't have the first version. I want to keep both. Anyone help?

Bedtime winner. My girls love this at bedtime and it's a winner in my book... I've used it for a week now and I've had no tantrums at bedtime , which is a miracle.

Beautiful. The illustration/ graphics of this app are just beautiful. It's a great concept. Simple enough for young children to understand but enough activities to keep them occupied.

Fantastic. My daughter loved this app. Beautifully illustrated, narrated, simple but educational interactive interface. My daughter is only two she figured how to turn off the lights at first try because she was so interested in figuring it all out. Interesting animations as well. She loves to see the goat drop poo :) that's when we work with her in a fun way in her toilet training. Thanks guys. Just downloaded the little fox and Pete apps. Nice addition to bedtime routine!. Excellent app for my toddlers to interact with before bed. The animals are cute and the kids like 'helping' the animals turn their lights off before bed.

This has helped put the kids so many times.... What a wonderful interactive story. I would have thought the interactive component would keep the kids awake, but the voice used (relaxing) and passive story interaction is well thought out and surprisingly peaceful. The added animals are a nice touch... … well done.

The most beautiful app we have.. My husband and I have downloaded over 300 apps for our 3 kids and this is by far my favourite. The graphics are gorgeous and the movements of the animals are very cute. I love that the animal noises are real animals and not some man barking like a dog (which is so strange). I wish more people would create apps like this - simply stunning.

The Best. My girl loves this. Please do some other stories with the same excellent interactivity. She has special needs so is great to have the autoplay function, but she still loves to turn out the lights. One of our favourites. You can tell very talented, dedicated people put this together. New animal are fantastic and we've all laughed for ages about the goat.

Our very favourite app. My almost 2 year old loves this and had done for months. Illustrations and animation are divine. Auto play feature is great for when they're younger too. Can't fault it! It has saved my skin from nighttime tantrums many a time!

Excellent. This is a wonderful app. My little boy loves it and has been using it for almost a year. He loved the Christmas special with the singing snowman. The graphics are beautiful and we love how you can vary the order of animals, getting put to bed. It's worth the money to buy all animals.

Just amazing. This bad time story is best known for its neat colouring including the animals and the background also. And the animals are also make great sounds and I seen in the details that there are over 5 million downloads for this reason it is neat colouring and also the sounds. But please add more animals like birds exc. if you add a story about the animals I will give you 5/5 by yonatan

Excellent quality but only has one level. This is a very well produced app with great graphics and animations, the sound is clear and the words are easy for a child to understand. This app is loved by my children. It is a little short with only one short theme, it seems one dimensional.

Beautiful!. THE best children's book on iPad. A must for every bedtime routine. A FANTASTIC help for my son who has ASD, it is engaging enough to keep him interested, but soothing and calming for sleep time. The most beautiful drawings and graphics. It always has been a favourite with us, and the surprises at Christmas were wonderful. Cute...but.... Well made, and very cute idea, but too short. Wish there was more to the story. It cost $3.99, and they want you to pay more to add more animals to the story. Didn't realize you'd have to pay more to make it a better story, or I wouldn't have bought it. :/

Great Story App!. My son is 2 1/2 and loves this app, its one of his favorites. The narrators voice is calm and soothing. I really like how you put the animals to bed and can't wake them up again so it forces you to continue through the story.

Great for Toddlers. Great animation, our 2.5 year old loves this interactive bedtime story. We got it as the "free app of the week". My only complaint would be, had I paid for it, it seems a bit short, but overall, nicely done.

It is Good. But, C'Mon!. There is no much of a story here! And to get all the others animals for $0.99, $0.99… Very expensive for what you give! you can have so much more in some other App. for a minus price! : you can maybe give children the option to turn off or on the Lights…for that price.

Tested on 4 grandchildren. The most favourite app on my iPad for four grandkids aged now 2-5. Slow moving, gentle, sweet and interesting enough to keep their attention. And after one play, you can tell them that the animals are now all asleep! The best preschool app I have found after trying many out.

Doesn. I paid for this on my iPad and then paid some more to add some extra animals with an in app purchase. Discovered today that I had to purchase again for this to work on my iPod touch 4th generation. Then I see I have to pay to upgrade the same extra animals on the touch. Not fair and very greedy! Good app but a terrible expense.

My 2 year old loves this app!. My 2 year old really loves this app. She loves to 'tuck in' the animals before bed. Now she's asking if she can wake them up in the morning! Any plans to develop such an app to go with this one? :)

One of the best bedtime books out there. I've got a large collection of bedtime iPad apps and this is by far among the top three books out there. It is a beautiful, calming, interactive good night story. It also has the best graphics for a night book. It reminds me of Pixar movies. A Must!

Spectacular. Our three year old son has fallen head over heals for what he calls "Nighty night animals." Bed time has become a breeze because he will do whatever it takes to be able to see / play / experience the story. Very well animated, and the narration is perfect for a night time wind down. Honestly one of the best purchases we have ever made. Worth every cent.

Wonderful Bedtime Story app!. This is a wonderful bedtime story app! Our 18-month old grandson loves it and is learning how to touch the light switches and the arrows to go to different places in the story. Have purchased the additional animals since he loves it so much! The only problem is I have that is doesn't play sound on out ipad2, it only plays sound on our ipad3. Keep up the great work!

Too short. I was really excited to download this for my 3 year old. It took quite awhile, it's a big download and needs extra space not mentioned. And then it took her 3 minutes to get through the whole thing! We even went back and tried to redo it, clicking on anything we could see but not many extra things to do in this one. Why would I pay to change the animals out if nothing even happens in the story? Glad I didn't pay for it. Deleted it right after we were done. Only saving grace is it's quite beautiful to look at.

Nice bedtime activity. I like that it's calm and a good quiet time book... But it's not a book. It's more of an activity/game with a narrator. There are no words on the pages, even though all the words are goodnight dear animal. So I guess I can turn the narrator off and create my own story. Overall I like it though.

More please. We love your app. My son now knows all these animals and the sounds that they make. I would love an add on of waking the animals up. I would also really love a companion book that was Nighty Night at the Zoo. We are always looking for little books for the iPad that are quality and enjoyable and educational so please make more!!!

Great, but shuts off. My two-year-old absolutely LOVES this!!! He watches it over and over at night...the only complaint I have is when it is on auto play, it shuts off! Not a huge deal, but if you aren't immediately nearby to tap the screen every so often, it will shut off and upset your little one! Fix this bug and I will absolutely rate five stars!

Beautiful pics and soothing sounds. Simple.... Very nice app! But... Hard to give it 5 stars because of how limited and few the interactions are. You are encouraged to buy "New Animals" for another 99¢. Our expectations for a $2.99 app are higher. My 2-yr old granddaughter loved it but it needs a bit more interaction to hold her attention very long.

Wonderful book. My 2 1/2-year old son is obsessed with lights and turning them on and off, so this book is perfect for him. He constantly wants to read the "light book" and makes snoring noises pretending he's sleeping so we can read it. The narration and interactive graphics are great. I'd definitely buy more books like this one!

Beautiful but too simple. I bought this app for my 6 year old nephew. I thought that it was going to be a book since the info says #1 book so on and so on. THIS IS NOT A BOOK WHATSOEVER. If you have an older child like my nephew, this app would be too simple for them, nor would it help them sleep.. It will just leave them wanting more. Paid way too much for something so short. It is very misleading, all you do is turn off the animals lights and you would have to pay more for only 3 more animals. Major ripoff. I thought the makers of this would have made this app, it would have been great if there were more. Mistake.

My grandkids love this app!. I have a 3 year old grandson and a 16 month old granddaughter and they both love the app. The graphics are great and I love the voice that says goodnight. We have their other app, Little Fox Music Box, and they like that one too. Same great graphics and a voice.

Great Toddler App!. This is by far my 20-month-old son's app. He loves making the animals move and turning out the lights. The graphics are great and the narrator is pleasant (not annoying or flat like a lot of other apps for kids). This one is definitely worth downloading.

Pretty good. Interactive and my 16th month old loves this app so we bought the two extra animal packages. She can turn off many of the lights herself. Would be better with bigger targets for some of the lights and not much of a story but still wish there were more apps like this for her out there.

Part of our nighttime ritual now!. Love this story. It is a great app that let's your child say goodnight & turn off the lights for the different animals in the buildings. My son giggled through the book, and then after watching the little boy say goodnight & turn off the light, he went to sleep. Very cute and adorable way to end the day with your child.

By far, best app I have. This is my ( almost) three year old daughter's favorite part of the night time routine. She and I both love this end to our day. Way too short story for this price. Should have been free. The graphics are good, but the content and interaction is too little for the price. This should be a free App. 6 slides where all your child does is flip the switch gets old fast and the story is so short that it's over before it even starts. Just the graphics alone can't justify the price. There are too many free apps with HD graphics that also have more content.

Love!. My son loves this app. He is almost two. He loves it so that I added the extra animals. We only recently discovered the little extra things that some of the animals do, like the goat and the chicken. Cute! I definitely recommend this for toddlers!

Nighty night. This is the best app for a 20 month old and up. I love it, too. I have told all my friends and now they are buying it. MORE PLEASE of such superior quality for my precious boy. Thank you a million. Just removed three stars because of the unnecessary goat potty scene. Just not as sweet as before. If I want bathroom humor I'll go elsewhere. I trusted you : (

So cute !. My granddaughter LOVES this book ! She must wish all the animals good night every night when she visits us. We have even tried it in German and I am trying to teach her a bit of German vocabulary. Thank you for the great pictures too !

This is how digital books should be done. The bar has been set high with this one. My grandson who is only a year and a half old LOVES this book. From the animals to the narration this book is well worth the cost and I didn't think twice about adding the animals at the additional cost. Well done!!

First book ever bought...favorite book still!. My son and I love this book. It was the first book we purchased on the iPad, and I have yet to find another with the quality and visual interactions as this one. I love all the sounds, from the clicking of the lights to the crickets in the yard. Completely worth the .99, I would have paid more.

Great bedtime book. Downloaded today....kids loved it. Used it tonight for bedtime....worked like a charm! Not over stimulating...soothing...prepares the child for what's coming up next...me turning off their own light! Loved it. I do agree though the light switch on the page is too small...kids kept trying to just touch the light itself.

Disappointed. Although the concept is great, it is only for tiny tykes and it should say so from the get-go. If you would expand this with more things for the child to do, and had more of a story line, then you would have a winner for a larger audience. Also, it would be nice to see the words, little kids like to pretend that they are reading, and most kids like to be read to by a person sitting there right next to them.

Too Good. I bought this for my daughter to fall asleep and I am now on the fifth time playing it because every time I put her to bed she starts hysterically crying to have "bed time story again". I have to admit though, it is super cute and even I like it a lot.

Great for my 17 month old. There aren't a lot of apps for the really young ones (maybe because we're not supposed to do screen time until 2). I bought this to entertain her on our 11 hour flight and she loves interacting with the animals before saying "nigh nighs" to them.

Love this APP!!!. My wife and I downloaded Nighty Night and our 1 year old loves it...Not only that but My wife and I are entertained by it...The narration is fantastic with a soothing Brittish accent, the falling snow is relaxing even for adults, and the artwork/graphics are amazing...I wish I could find more apps like this one!

The soothing "nighty night" talk and turn-out-the-light rituals relax them enough to overcome all the howls of nerd-rage seeping through the Internet from the Free App of the Week Peter Pans who demand their personal satisfaction of something for nothing.

Night time routine!. We absolutely Adore this app!!! It has become part of our night time routine with our 18 month old. He asks for it on a daily basis...he loves the Fish most of all. I am only giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because you do have to purchase MORE animals....and one of the Goats actions is that he Poops!

Great app!. My niece (2-1/2) loves this app. I love the artwork. She enjoys putting all the animals to bed and really loves the extra animals you can purchase. The add-ons are really cheap and overall the whole app is adorable and a nice "bedtime story" for the kids. She is always asking to play it but we have a routine to do it before bed to help her get on a schedule. It's really helped!

Autistic 4 year old loves this!!. My son is on the autism spectrum and this our "go to" bed time book. We sit together and put all the animals to bed. My son will even kiss them "night night". Kudos to the developers for adding more content and capabilities. We love this app!!!

A favorite!. Uploaded for my almost 2-year old granddaughter & she is definitely partial to this book. At least once a day she goes to it on her own & puts the animals to sleep. She loves to tap them & watch them wake up then go back to sleep. A great app!

Great App!. Our little guy that is 3 loves this app, he's loving the new winter version as well! He has to put them all to bed every night before he can go to sleep. We've had it since he was about 2.5 and he loves it. Older son who is 6 likes it as well! Little guy thinks the pooping goat is hilarious!

Brilliant!. My son and I enjoy this interactive goodnight story each night before bed. He is still very young but enjoys it a lot and even clicks and swipes the animals. It definitely helps sleepy time but he generally stays awake for all the animals and lays his head down when the narrator tells him to sleep too. Heh. I highly recommend it!

Crashed. So, while I was very excited to come across this for FREE, I too am very disappointed that the pretty music my son loved is gone (we have had the iPhone version for a while), an annoying intro, and then just now while my son was playing with it, it crashed and booted us out of the app. I would have been really mad had I just paid $3, but I still don't appreciate the changes.

Fantastic toddler book app. This is currently my three year old's favorite app. It's beautiful to look at and play with and the narrator's voice is great. A bargain at 2 bucks! I would gladly have paid twice as much.

Visually stunning and so well thought out, love it!. The designers of this app did an incredible job of creating a beautiful and engaging way to end the day. Fun for kids and adults too. Great app till we upgraded. My daughter loves this app. But when we paid to add 3 more animals, the cats, pony and whatever else, we discovered that when on Read It To Me/Autoplay, it freezes on the cats. So we have to 'turn off Autoplay' which is really annoying. It should just work, all the way through.

This is AMAZING!. The graphics a beautiful and my son LOVES interacting with this story and makes all the animal noises and it's his favorite thing in the world! love it. It is very cute and my 4 year old loves it, my 11 and 7 year old were also entertained for awhile. They all loved to listen to it in the various languages. It is a very short book so the interest can only last so long.

Best Sleepytime App Ever.. All three of my kids (3.5yo boy, 2yo & 6mo girls) LOOOVE this app. They can't wait to put the animals to sleep at bedtime. Makes getting them into bed a lot easier for us! Best toddler app. Been through dozens of toddler apps and this is easily the best (with little fox music box/studio). My little girl still loves it, almost a year later. Some suggestions for ease of use for very small kids.. Wish it was multitouch. She gets frustrated because she rests her palm on it to touch the switches. Wish switches were a bit bigger. Might be better if you couldn't go back into the rooms that were already sleeping. Would like to be able to disable new animals occasionally. Or have a randomization of less animals. Anyway, still the best around. Thanks for making some quality stuff in a sea of crap!

Highly Recommend. I love this app! I first downloaded it when my grandson was two, he is now five and my granddaughters are three and four. I can't even guess how many times we have used this to "wind down" for bedtime. I just saw there's a new Nighty Night Circus released and have already downloaded it. Can't wait for the babies to see it!

The best interactive children's app!. I am a speech pathologist and I love to use the app with my clients. We talk about routines, vocabulary, following directions, etc. This app has helped me get clients talking. It is amazing and I wish there were more like this out there in app land!

Overpriced with shockingly little content. I want my money back. This is pathetic. The entire app takes no longer than 1 minute to blow through. Even my 2 year old is asking for more animals. It should be free. I would be upset if it was $.99. I dug through the app store with my 3 children and let them pick out an app they all agreed upon and my 4 year old was hysterically crying that it was over in a little over a minute. The fact that it currently has 4.5 stars is proof that the ratings are doctored. Thank you for nothing

Sweet Dreams!. Whether my 20 month old and I are doing this together or he is playing it by himself, this app is fantastic. I love the voice, very kind, soothing, and it has the nice features of a children's book mixed with the fun of an app, all in such a way as to soothe a child to sleep. It would be worth it at twice the price!

Very well done. I was so sick of reading the same books over & over to my 2 & half year old every night. He was amazed by the story and asks to do it again every time! Great graphics and the narrators voice is perfect! Is little to short should of done a second scene but for 2 bucks worth it!!

A beautiful app!!!. My six-month old daughter absolutely adores this app. Immediately it grabs her attention unlike anything else. Even if she's in the middle of a crying fit, she'll calm instantly as soon as Nighty Night starts playing. Please make more wonderful apps like this. The graphics are stunning.

This application used to work great, but the last update crashes. We used this book every night to put our little one to sleep. Since the last update it has crashed 6 times in the last 30 minutes. What happened to testing an update before you released it???? Get your QA people to test it before you release an update. You don't want to get a reputation for a bad product. It was awesome before, now it just stinks.

Adorable!. My 2 year old niece absolutely loves this app... We have been reading it together every night in both English and Spanish. She asks for it by name, and loves to touch the animals to see what noises they will make before we turn out the light in each room. Beautifully done!

Great interactive bedtime book for very young children. My 2 yr old loves it and it makes it easier to put him to bed. Gotta laugh at all the geniuses that give this a low rating because its "stupid" and "useless" for them. Duh, it's for children! Idiots...

First World Problems: Updates Too Frequently. I really feel over the line with this complaint, but this app, as wonderful as it is, is updated far too frequently. I am frankly tired of burning ~300MB of my data plan every week, or every other week, it seems, to get updates with often very minor improvements. I knocked two stars off this review for poor planning and prioritizing by the developers.

Some changes, but great app. The app has undergone some updates, but fortunately most of the undesirable changes were removed and restored. My son has enjoyed this app for months at night time, from the interactions with the lights and animals to now saying the names of the animals and their sounds now that he's talking. A relaxation addition to the night time ritual.
