Not enough vocabularies. Some words are not on the list and some even on the list, it doesn’t have the translations. Make you wonder what kind of dictionary is this.

Think twice. I purchased this app for ad free and it said other extra dictionaries will be added. This paid app works for only one devise and when I upgrade my ipad mini ads are popping up each time when I open this app. I paid money for nothing! Otherwise this app helps me to study English.

Great!. Has most words that I look up, even the rare ones.

Poor words amount. Mess arrangemet. I have used it for one year almost everyday and I have never been happy with it. They don't have big archive of words a I should open another dictionary app to find the definition. Also they just put so much function and it is not user friendly. I regret to purchase it.

dope app. Dont really make reviews but must give my props where it is due. Very useful. I uninstalled it ONCE and tried out other stuff but came right back. I didn't uninstall it because it lacked, i just thought i could find something to offer more. More of what? I even ask myself that because it is a good dictionary. Just click on a word and there is usually (not always) probably 95% of the time there is an explanation for the word. Must have for language learners

Must have.. Aside from giving definitions it shows more important info on the words. You also can use flash cards within the app!

Urban Dictionary not there. I purchased the premium because I wanted the added urban dictionary. I was looking up a word and wanted to know the slang. So I bought it, and the urban dictionary option disappeared. I have looked up KNOWN slang words, like 씹다, and there is no urban dictionary. Why did I just spend money for something that I’m not getting??

Everything is good except one. I searched two words which are ‘despite’ and ‘in spite of’ and this dictionary showed me correct meanings, BUT it says they are CONJUNCTIONS! Actually, they are not conjunctions. They are prepositions! What happened to this app? :( I like this app and still use it. But sometimes there are missing. I hope you improve this app and expropriate my advice. Thank you!

Review for dictionary. It is very well organized for user convenience. I use this dictionary in various functions for example looking for Chinese letter by searching the words in Korean. It is very useful. However, the ‘Korean-English’ dictionary function, the English vocabulary listed are not correct. It is because the pronunciation in Korean are the same. I understand its limitations. So I still use conventional dictionary, paper dictionary. The other area that I feel uncomfortable and need to further improve is its pronunciation and the connotation of pronunciation. Voice pronunciation and its corresponding connotation does not match correctly. I have to verify it with paper dictionary, too. In conclusion, this dictionary is the best out of many other applications. Appreciate it very much everyday. Thanks.

Very disappointed. My wife and I are moving to Korea in the summer of 2019. In addition to learning Korean, we thought it would be helpful to have a thorough Korean Dictionary. It kind of surprised me that we can’t share the upgraded version because it was upgraded in app. That is a money grab, seeing as though the upgraded version doesn’t add that much for 10 bucks. Sorry, I can’t give you more than a star for your shady practices.

This is a good app. This app is a good app but for some reason my search doesn’t work it keeps on doing 잇ㅅ instead of 있 so I hav to keep fixing it and it is frustrating but I am giving credit only one less star because this is still a good app just a few more bugs to fix. :)

Using to Learn Korean. I’ve been studying korean for about 2 months now, I use this to know how to pronounce words and understand word meanings in english

After updating further explanation is not shown. As title stated, after updated , it doesn’t show English dictionary meaning for word search

Used to be great. Now unusable.. Click on a search result and nothing displays. Just a blank white screen. This app used to be fantastic and now it’s useless. What are people using for a Korean-English dictionary instead?

Typo. Can’t trust this dictionary after finding a typo within my first 5 minutes of use. The Korean translation of “I want to eat kimbap” contains the line “먹고십어요” instead of “먹고 싶어요”. Didn’t see a way to report the typo either.

Dishonest Business Practice. It’s a good dictionary but I no longer appreciate it or enjoy using it due to the dishonesty of their business model. It seems that more and more apps on the App Store proudly proclaim “family sharing” when they are well aware that the only way to purchase their app is through an “in app” purchase. Sadly, many unethical marketing types now decide what constitutes a good business practice instead of others that might have a functional moral compass.

Very helpful app ever!. I use this app so many times everyday. I can use this for definition and pronunciation anytime. Also I can see my history of words I looked at.

Great. This app has been a great help to me. It is the best one I have when it comes to Korean language. I love the fact that I can use it offline. I can use it anywhere. I will say, be careful on the updates. Sometimes the upgrades are not better but make things more complicated.

Sliccckk. This UI is drab, but very easy to use and understand. Having both the English and Korean pronunciations also makes it very easy to learn new words.

An excellent collection of dictionaries, but missing some functionality. This app offers a wide variety of dictionaries that should suffice for most purposes for rendering English words in Korean and Korean words in English. However it lacks one very important feature of similar programs: you cannot export a word list that includes definitions. By default, word lists include only the head words, and in order to include a definition, it is necessary to explicitly add it as a note. It would be highly desirable to add the ability to add a word to a list together with a selected definition, so that both can be exported together.

Confusing, Ads, Poor Design. Overall confusing to navigate, intrusive ads, and poorly designed. Pushes premium content without doing even the bare minimum for free content. Wouldn’t recommend.

Intrusive Ads. I do not understand how this app has good reviews. I could never use it bc there where ads everywhere. Before your search a word and after and if you toggle anywhere you get a full screen ad. I get they gotta make money but this is excessive. Literally to the point where I’m about to build my own translation app no lie.

Great for learners!!. This is honestly such a good app! I’m currently learning Korean (been self teaching myself for about a year now!) and this is really great when I’m curious to know what a word is in Korean or when I forgot how to say something! They offer so many different meanings for each word and they provide example sentences, which is really helpful for learning context. I also find that this a great app for phrases too, it has basic phrases in its system and that’s so helpful to me especially when I want to practice offline. Moreover, I enjoy using the word reminder and flash cards, this app has taught me a lot of vocabulary and I’m still learning more. I would recommend this if you’re learning Korean or need a high quality translator. I’m not sure what the translation limit is as I’ve never hit it, but they allow you to search quite a few translations from what I’ve seen. I have no complaints, this app is well developed! I’m thankful to the app developer for all of their hard word! Thank you!😄

For free, it’s gold. I fly a lot plus I’m a cheapskate on my data (free WiFi is not as common outside of the US and Korea as people think), so the fact that this works offline is the winning factor. The audio is great but a hint: mute your speakers for class cos the adverts make a bad impression with 선생님

Great app but needs some missing functionality.. I’m a hardcore app user of yours and copy to search function saved a lot of time of mine. But there are some issues - needs dark mode so that I can use it in night without eye strain - vocabulary star button needs additional click. It is such an unnecessary hassle. We don’t need “memorized” button in search mode. Please delete it so I can star vocabularies in one touch. - can’t play music background Please update and solve these minor problems. Overall great app for sure :)

3/5. App overall is helpful. If you want a quick and dirty way to look up a word, this app definitely suffices it. It just needs to improve in UI aspect. Some micro interactions are wrong. Annoying ads all over for free version I guess it can’t be helped since that’s how the app generates funding.

Excellent. I have begun using this app to help with my Korean study. I find it easy to use and it has an understandable menu system. In the free version you have adds on the top and bottom headers, but it's not that bad. Has major translation errors. You're definition of 경유 shows "gasoline" instead of "deisel". This is wrong and caused me to put the wrong fuel in my motorcycle. I no longer respect this dictionary app.

Very useful. This is indeed a very useful app. I've used it in my classroom many times to clear up misunderstandings and it's worked great about 90% of the time. The different meanings could be a little more clearly explained but overall, it's great.

Great on- and offline app. Can be used both online and offline, unlike other dictionaries I've seen. Comprehensive, but not so good with proverbs or multi-word expressions. Hwever, you can use one of the convenient links to online dictionaries for that. I am extremely satisfied with this app.

Dict Box. Best Korean dictionary on iOS. Easy to use and super convenient. To the people who complain about the wrong icon and rate one star, it shows how little you actually used this app because it is the best offline dictionary app you can find anywhere even on Andriod and the icon isn't even 1% of this app.

Best app for korean English dictionary. Ive used it for almost five years now and this used to spam me with adds but not anymore. I love the new update with notification aids for words i searched. You literally wont find a better app for korean English dictionary.

Excellent!. I love this dictionary, so far it has found all the words I have looked up, and i really like the example phrases and word combinations it has for every word. It's a high quality product, i definitely recommend it!

Truly a dictionary. Formatted as a true dictionary. Includes multiple definitions of a word, giving clearer insight into multiple meanings and interpretations. Also includes the example phrases seen in printed dictionaries, but often missing in online or app dictionaries. One of few apps I would rate five stars.

Great translations. This app gives not only the definition of the word you want, but it's synonyms in both languages. It also puts them in a list of how common the word is used, top being the most popular. I find this app most helpful of all the other translators.

It consumes battery dramatically.. I have used this app. for long time. After I changed my ipad to ipad pro 9.7, it started to consume battery crazily. One day I left my ipad with full charged before going to bed and next morning I found my ipad with battery too low. I checked which app. cause this battery consume and I found this dic box was the cause of the problem. I deleted this app and hope this problem will be fixed soon.

Handy, Precise, and Comprehensible.. This application is very useful, especially if you have a korean class. I don't normally download an application, but our professor is requiring us to have a English-Korean dictionary, so I downloaded this application and so far, it really is convenient and beneficial. If you have a korean class and you want to have a English-Korean dictionary or even just Korean dictionary; this application is the one that you must have and I assure you that it will help you with your translations and pronunciations.

Everything you could ask for in a dictionary. This is one of the best dictionary apps ive seen in any language! Lol for real. Better than the wordreference koreng dictionary for sure because of the natural sounding tap-to-listens. Lots unique of contextual examples for ALL the words (in my experience thus far) make it really memorable. A "word reminder" feature makes this app really functional for the learner as well. You can also draw to search! Very glad to have found this app

It gets the job done. It's alright, but it's a little too complicated. For example, I type in a word I want translated and it comes back with like 6 words. Some of them don't really match the word I typed in. Also, I would like a feature where you can maybe add slashes to narrow down your search. For example I wanted to find the word for "journal/diary" but it was hard to find an exact match because I either had to type "journal" or "diary". I think a feature where you can type multiple would be beneficial.

Good app, but now overheats and drains battery. I really liked using this app a lot. It was my go-to app for Korean to English but... For the last week or two I have had a serious problem with my battery draining extremely quickly (yesterday 50% drained in 3 hours of no use) and the phone was overheating to the point that it was painful to hold. Following troubleshooting suggestions, I looked at my battery usage. This app was draining my battery; more than 50% of my daily battery usage was from this app running in the background. I deleted the app and my overheating and drained battery issues were gone. I can no longer recommend this app.

I don't know what I'll do with out this app. This app is the best for me. It's like a pocket sized dictionary and it doesn't require wifi or internet. Also this app has a lot of words in different language including Korean, Chinese and French. I'm in america learning english right now and this helps me get through class. Also it helps me communicate with my Chinese friend, too. When ever there is a word that i dont know in english, i just type it up and it comes out in chinese which is neat. I give million stars for this app.

Great dictionary. The best one I have ever used.

Pop up ads are a problem. As a dictionary, this app is great. However, at some point in the past year they enabled pop-up advertising, which has proven to be extremely obnoxious. If they are going to interrupt your typing when you're in the middle of a word (happens to me every day in Korean class) to tell me about Clash of Clans I'd rather go with a dictionary that has fewer words, but that is capable of respecting its users and its namesake.

Very useful Dictionary app. This app has several dictionaries in the app so you can see multiple dictionary definitions at the same time. You can also use the linking feature to look up a word by clicking on it and viewing it in a box that pops up. The app gets regular updates and each time there is a useful improvement.

Great dictionary. I use the app everyday when I was studying Korean so I don't have to carry an actual dictionary around. The explanations are clear and accurate. They also provide enough example sentences sth at helped immensely for someone learning a new language.

Eh. It's ok because in learning Hangul but I wish it had the formalness of the words for example "I love you" is 사랑해 and I had to search everywhere because it also had 사랑해요 which is more formal and I wish they had it there so I didn't have to search it everywhere but it's still good

Cmon. One the best dictionary I have ever seen!

This update "did you mean" pop up window is bad idea. I'm a great fan of this app for its simplicity and speed. But this update, the pop up windows makes me crazy. Why do I have to touch twice to search new word? Even if i dont need the pop up, the popup shows up everytime, and I have to touch to make it disappear. New feature will be welcome, unless it ruins the user experience. I don't want to take another touch for this little improvement, which seems to me almost useless. do not waste user's touch!! Please go back to previous version.

5 stars. One of the best I can find

My most used app!!. I love this app so much! It has saved so many hours of my life. My favorite aspect is that I can search for different conjugations of a word if I don't know the stem form. Conversely if I search for the stem form, I can instantly see many different conjugations of that word. The introduction of the external app for translations online is a little slower and thus irritating. But I still love the app. I also have the Japanese-English version. This has honestly become my most used app! More than Instagram lol.

Convenient and helpful. It gives very helpful information about the words that I need to know every time. And I like the fact that it has the audio pronunciation and pictures to give better understanding.

Unusable. Too complicated. I enter English and get Korean. I enter Korean and get Korean. Can't figure out how to get what I want. Unintuitive.

Fantastic, efficient, fun-to-use dictionary. This bilingual dictionary has given me every word I've looked for, plus a whole lot more. Sometimes a definition for a Korean word comes up in Chinese. This is due to the close relationship between many Korean words with its Chinese origin. It isn't bad, so much as awkward. The Chinese pictograph also comes with a break down of other Korean words, which in turn lead me to the definition I was looking for in the first place. This dictionary connects basic word entries to phrases and a whole spectrum of sentences for every day use. It's a great way to build familiarity with either Korean or English. It's a fantastic dictionary. With this dictionary, I can look up words directly from within the original entry. Quick Look Up saves time and improves on efficiency. Tap a word and choose the word or related phrase from the pop-up window. This function makes the dictionary better than most. There's even more. There are flash cards of basic words from native language to target language. In addition, the words I have been looking up are made into flash cards too. Enjoy this useful dictionary. Smr

Good. App

Fast and Easy to Use. Other dictionary apps take seconds to load and offer few features. This one loads in under 1 sec on my iPhone 4S. Better yet, pronunciation of Korean words, picture dictionary and searches in other media (like Google News) make this app an all-in-one slam dunk.

Yes! This works.. Thanks for a very functional dictionary with some great (if a bit racy at times--might offend some people, like my wife) dictionary. Love that I can type either Korean or English into the search function. Strange that many standard Korean words show up with the least used English translation first and the most common translation second, third or fourth. This dictionary, as with all dictionaries, has its limitations but stands as a very usable digital tool--the best I've found yet in the way I an app for Korean--and better than many print versions I've seen. Great that we can listen to pronunciations (if a bit robotic) and see quite a few Korean possibilities for the words given.

Very Good!! But would like to see Chinese character roots identified in Korean search results.. Pretty handy & great for a quick search/pronunciation guide. It's fairly comprehensive though I've come across a few words that w/o translation in either English or Korean. (We can't know it all but I do like the Wikipedia-style pages for English only words...would be nice to have something similar for Korean only too--maybe in Korean!) Pop up/screen-filling ads can be a nuisance. All that said, this is one of my regularly used apps. One add-on I'd like to see is identification of Chinese characters where applicable (maybe in parentheses beside the Korean word when the page is listing a word's alternative meanings/example uses). Nice.. I like 1, that I don't need wifi or 3G to access it, since I live in Korea and my iPhone has become nothing more than a miniature wifi computer and sometimes I can't get wifi, 2, that there are many sources and many dictionaries referenced for each word, And 3, that there are example sentences that do a great job of illuminating the vocab.

Great dictionary. I have been using it over a year. It is great. Search is easy and fast, and shows meanings in both English and korean. I can also listen to US, UK and AU pronunciations. It also shows links to search more in the web including image search. I highly recommend it.
