Complete waste of money. No ledger, terrible tech. Do not buy

Useful on iPhone. As the listing shows, it is only for iPhone. I loaded it to iPad and it works, but the display is small. Mainly I like having one big world map you can move around on, rather than a bunch of maps of different continents or regions.

Quick Glance. This app is convenient and useful for quickly looking up a country's location. However, some country's capitals are incorrect; like ones who had their capital changed within the last decade.

Not bad.... I do wish there were more screens. Maybe a screen of the world 100 years ago and a comparison of how the world's geography has changed? Also, there isn't a whole lot of difference between the lite version and the pay version, so the pay version definitely needs something more.

Horrible and Inaccurate. A horrible and inaccurate app. It used to be simple and functional at its core competency, but now it is as ugly as it is inaccurate. It’s a very odd decision to incorrectly label Crimea as part of Russia. Only Russia recognizes the illegal annexation of Crimea and major map apps correctly still label it as part of Ukraine. For some reason Appventions doesn’t get this right, nor does it get right many other areas in Africa, the Middle East, or Asia. A map must do one thing, be accurate; Unfortunately, this ugly and inaccurate app fails at that most basic task.

Worthless. No matter what I search for, eg. Tuscany, Italy instead of a map, it says, “no results.” This app is completely worthless.

Physical World Map, and separate World Time Zones Map. This app is wonderful to have on my iPhone--being able to look up any country in the world anytime is so much fun, and educational, too.

Exactly what I wanted. If you're looking for a quick reminder of where everything is, this works fine.

Great quick look!. It's nice to have on my phone. When I'm reading about somewhere I just like to see where it is!

Love it. Every time some strange place comes up on the news I can always find out where it happened in seconds. Just have to go to a dictionary to learn how to pronounce these places.

A good world map.. I wish it had more enlargement possibilities, with more detail. Even so, I use it almost everyday.

Great. Love new update. Is great app for trivia games. Easy to use, very informative.

Great World Map. Keeps me learning about our planet.

Road warrior. It's all I really need as a well travelled and geographically aware person. I use to to remind myself where someplace is when news breaks. I'm also one of those people that meets you on an airplane, hears an accent an has you point out where your home town is. Paris is obvious, but someplace in central India, I need help with.

Not comprehensive or up to date. 1. There are countries that just don’t get included. (Mostly small island nations) 2. You can only zoom in so far so you cannot get the details. 3. Some capitals are not updated from the 1980’s 4. The art is nice.

Why does a map need to be detailed. It's not the most detailed or informative thing in the world but it provides me with all I want-a basic easy to understand map of our current world. It also provides maps of timezones and of the worlds physical features. I don't really see what anybody is complaining about.

nice update; some suggestions. can't seem to find a way to exit the search bar or cancel a search (the keyboard doesn't disappear unless I open a different map). also the animation/transition when searching for a country/capital is a bit slow and there's no way to skip it.

EG. I like this app. It is a very good quick Reference for world geography. The only trouble I have is with the latest upgrade because I can't close the search box or even make small again

Stop. I love this app, primarily because you don’t have to be online to use it. I bought the deluxe version and love. But it keeps trying to sell me the version I bought. I feel insulted. Coulda been 5 stars.

Missing information. Why can’t I find the island of Java? It is not searchable in the drop down menu. Had to go to Google to find out the capital isJakarta which is searchable but not the island itself?

Best Map. Love this app for ease of access. Doing a crossword puzzle, curious about a location, trying to improve your knowledge of places, planning a trip? This map is the very best out there.

Low resolution with little detail. I expected to have much more detail, pretty disappointed. If all you want is country borders then this app will deliver.

World Map. A quick and easy to read map. Would like if provinces and states etc were outlined but find it a handy reference when people want to know where a country or nation is located.

Not like the free version. My son loved the free version, but wanted more detail, so I purchased the full version. While more is given on the world map, it is a different format than the free version, and is missing Antarctica on the detailed world map. It looks like they just took a map off the internet and plugged it into an app so they could charge for it. The free version map is not even included in the full version. I have to keep an extra app to have that map.

World Map. Enables expansion of the too small standard map, providing basic border information and location of the nations but little else.

Poor. Poor excuse for spending a buck. Neither the free app or the dollar app offer enough detail or usable options to be of any value. RatIng poor

Good at this price point. Gives enough detail for general usage, price is low so worth getting it. If one wants possibility to do fine search this is not the app for it.

From here to there.. I enjoy seeing the places on the world map of where we’ve been and the people we have met. It gladdens my heart that people are so kind and generous wherever we go.

Paid version no different than free version?. I tried the free version first. I found it limited, but of some use, and decided to get the paid version to get more maps and features. I now have both the free and paid versions on my phone, and cannot see any difference between them, other than the lack of prompts for me to get the paid version. If you are going to offer both free and paid versions there should be some advantage to be gained by buying the paid version, don't you think?

Not practical. With todays need of information, why would i want to occupy space in my device with a Map that only serves as general information? I cant do anything else but read names of countries, states, etc. I would expect to pay for something I could USE. Like mark places in the general view, or click and zoom a bit more to see further... Not expecting to see roads, but at least the names of towns maybe.. Need more info, more to do. Interaction is what consumers of information expect.

Review of World Map. This is a wonderful app! I have the "pro" version, and as such, enjoy the additional features. The map is colorful, but more importantly, is very easy to use. The developers also keep the map up to date, so it is easy to see where the newest countries are located. Kudos to the developers for a very nice educational tool.

Only App that shows detailed maps. I used to use the National Geographic map App. This one is more detailed. I like it. No sure it is worth $2 though. The search function needs to improve; for example you press Kyev, like in the map, but it does not show up. You need to guess to type Kyiv. Also when you type the name of the city or country other countries show up in the suggestion box (alphabetically).

Great update!!!. I liked the previous version of this app, but wanted more detail. This update provides that, and IMHO is the PERFECT amount of detail. Traveling for a living, I like perusing a map, but don't have wireless access on a plane internationally to use iPhone map or Google Earth. This app was perfect for a quick look but now has requisite detail.

Love it!. I have it on my cell phone so it is always handy to look up a country or major city location any time I need to. I don’t have all of the Globe in my head; I wish I did, but that ain’t happening, and this is a gem to behold.

What's needed. This is great. I am pleased with what I have to work with. It's rather easy to define areas of turmoil for others. To define History is displayed conveniently... I could go on and on... No need you should get my point...

Not good for small countries. If you are playing Worldle you can't zoom in on islands or small countries like Andorra

Very helpful. I like it to see the countries that are unknown to me. It is fast and easy to locate it. It gives a general view of countries and major cities around the world. If you are looking for an specific and unknown little place you better google it.

Very bad app. I was looking for map app and I downloaded the free version of this one which is exactly the same except that you get lots of commercials with it. I decided to get the so called "full version" to get rid of the commercials. BIG MISTAKE!!! The map has some mislables and it is incomplete (it does not show the north and south poles and it cuts out parts of south america). If you really need a map app either get the free version of this one if you don't mind the ads,or buy some other app as this one is not worth the time or money!!!

Stunningly Little - I Beg You Don’t Buy. I forgot what I paid for this (if nothing maybe I got my money’s worth) but whatever it was it I’m going to delete it just to get it off my phone. There is stunningly little here. Just maps and nothing more. Little detail, no information. I wanted a world atlas actually and was surprised at the amount of indeterminate nothing available. This app being a prime example. Come on. With technology and information what it is, there is no excuse to foist an app like this into the public. Just google a map of whatever country you want. Meanwhile I’m going to order a physical atlas. Better yet go into a store and buy one so I can see what I’m getting. Oh wait, now you can’t even do that. Prime example of what a racket “apps” is. You can’t see what you’re getting before you buy, them you can’t return them.

Geography. Always good to know where you stand.

Good general map. We use the maps on these two apps - US and world often for general reference. When our children are studying ancient cultures we can pull up these maps for a quick look at the location in modern terms. There is not a lot of detail, but enough that this is great for history and social studies classes in grade school and high school.

Great app!. I’ve tried some different map apps, and this is by far the best. There is a series of good features like the time zone map, political borders, and major cities. No WiFi needed and it’s super well-laid out.

Simple handy app. Handy app for general reference. Used it while travelling and since. Time zone for western Russia seemed to need an update.

World Map. Waste of money! They claim you can zoom in for detailed map view if you upgrade to the full version, but you can't. Same view as the free app except you get robbed.

Such a Handy App. This is a great little app that is so useful for finding out where in the world places are. Whether you are geographically challenged or not, this app is worth having.

Dr. Clear and fairly to date, however , not nearly as much detail as could easily be provided given how generally available this info is. Only contains block colour pics of countries but could contain more main roads or rivers for example. Money spinner.

Australian Map Detail. Detailed map of Australia is extremely POOR. Has towns that I have never heard of. Does not list major towns like Coffs Harbour, Grafton and Lismore. Who created this map????

Useless. One star, as NO stars wasn’t possible. I thought paying for it would improve the resolution. I was mistaken. ‘Useless’ may be too soft a word for this utter garbage. Thanks for nothing, thieves.

Alice Springs etc Port Augusta Port Macquarie Port Hedland Exmouth Karratha Broome Kununurra Wyndham Broken Hill And many more in all the Empty spaces...

World map app. A really handy quick reference. Not so detailed but great for quick continent refence

World map. The paid version is identical to the free version with crude political boundries only. Zooming in gives you no further details. Does't even show the 50 states of USA. Don't buy!

Good foundation needs optional extra detail. So many times it would be great to either zoom in to see more detail OR turn filter layers on/off. For example, more cities, rivers, main national highways and railways, large airports, ports & beaches, etc etc.

Dicky search. Very informative. But work is needed on the search feature. It needs to be easy to find where to tap. (Not visible on the map). Then go to a full screen location suggestion. Not just a small drop down.

Not too bad but needs some upgrades. It'd be good if you could zoom in and see more towns/places, and when zoomed out, into big countries. Oh and I have a iPhone 4, when I open the app for about 1minute the app just closes so could you guys perhaps fix that. Thank you

Waste of money. Waste of money, don't buy it....

NOT DESIGNED FOR IPAD. This App is a big disappointment it is not designed for iPad regular or mini .... it’s designed for an iPhone and has arrows to make it larger but does not fill the screen.. This needs to be explained in the description so people don’t feel cheated when they get an iPhone app when it says suitable for this iPad.

Super app but could have more identification!. I really like this app for many tasks. The colors are vivid; the topographical information and time zones are great. I'd like, however, to see more cities, states, and provinces ID'ed. Next update perhaps?

Great map. I’ve had this app for years & used it almost every day. I finally just bought it, not because the ads were that bad but because I wanted to support the creator after freeloading for so long 😂 It’s a great little app for quickly looking up things.

Purchased Pro version - Detail same as free. Purchased the “Pro” version but map detail is identical as the free version. A waste of money. I expected to be able to zoom in deeper and see more cities and maybe major highways and roads. Don’t bother upgrading as there is absolutely no benefit. False advertising strikes again.

Fix the Search Function!!. The newly added search function doesn't work and it's really frustrating because half the screen is taken over with my keyboard and it won't let me minimize it. Either get rid of the search function or fix it so it works properly!

Missing capital cities. Not very impressed with this map. Doesn’t even list Victoria, B.C. even though it is the capital of that province. Lethbridge, AB is also not identified, not even when you use the search function. The St. Lawrence River is also missing.

Disappointing detail and functionality. This app is simply a picture or PDF viewer. There is no complexity or advanced functionality. Wast of a dollar. Better to find a map you like and email it to yourself as a PDF. You'll get the resolution you like and the detail you are liking for. Weak on terrain and regional detail.

It's fine for broader details. If someone is looking to study a map to get a sense geography I thinks it's great - if they want a lot of detail beyond the standard basics this is not the right map for them.

Lacks detail. Very disappointing. The free version is useful as a general map. I got the Pro version expecting to get more detail than the free version. Not so. All you get is a couple more generalized world maps eg a poor topping map. Stick with the free!

Great over view. Gives you a good look at country to country relationships geographically from an entire world perspective.

Excellent world map. It looks much like the map I learned in elementary school. I like that there is a political and topographical map. I spend plenty of time studying it.

Traveler. I use the maps often for planning trips and locating remote places in the news. So great to have it at my fingertips.

A Very Nice Overview of the World. The map is very helpful. However I wish that more cities are shown. Overall, a very good app.

very nice ..... very nice for what it is - I use it frequently because as I've gotten older I can't seem to remember all the new countries in Eastern Europe and this helps!!

Search bar does not (and has not) ever worked. Great except for the search function. I have the most up to date iOS and it crashes immediately if you try to use the search. Has done so in every app version actually.

World Map Informative. Not a fancy app, however, it is accurate and delivers what most want in an atlas app - accurate, fast info.

Very disappointing. Seriously, you only show 8 Italian cities. I thought at first that I could zoom in to see more. Nope. If you only wonder where a country is in the world, this app will answer it, but little more.

Map. This app isn't even worth the free price, the free version was very weak but I wanted a map so I paid for the upgrade, which turned out to be a 2% improvement. Please don't waist your money, I wish that I had read the reviews first!

Disapointed. I've been using the free version for a while and I decided to buy the full version to see more information about individual countries and the only think I have now is the time map! I believe more data should be in the full version app! NOT HAPPY!

World Map 2019. I love this app! Very comprehensive coverage physical map, topography, and time zones. It’s my go to map every time I want to look up specifics of a country I’m not familiar with.

Save your money. This app is not worth $.99. It is like someone scanned the world map I had hanging on my bedroom wall growing up. I expected to see more detail when I zoomed in or perhaps be able to search for cities or countries. Save your money.

Didn't work. I got the free version of this app and it worked, but when I got this updated version it just pretends to load and then I get sent back to my I pod main screen. I am not satisfied and actually feel robbed the buck and a half that it cost me.
