Very good translator. I've been using the free version of the app for about 2 wks in Italy and I've found it to be quick, fairly intuitive and very easy to use. The automatic determination of language for translation is very handy. For me a 5 star app!!

Volume is too low. Can barely hear the audio. How can proper pronunciation be learned when I cannot hear the voice? I am premium subscriber

Useful basic translations. Very useful for on-the-go translations while traveling in italy. Does not always have exactly what you want but you can usually figure it out.

Helpful. I have found this app quite helpful and recommend it. I do wish that the app provided the audio for the phrase that is being translated. I can hear the audio of the translation and related phrases but not the primary phrase which is being translated.

Perfect. This app helps me with my Italian class. Iris the best tool I’ve tried and I look forward to learning more. If I could rate higher than 5 I would.

Very useful. I've been using this for the past month while in Italy. It is very easy to use and quite useful. It has a large offline dictionary.

Best Italian dictionary. I downloaded several dictionaries and this one is the best. The multiple example sentences or idea when one cannot speak the language. Oh so slow witted as I am I could still easily navigate the program.

Just terrific. Like a previous user, I too was doing Duolingo and got tired of Google translate. This app is super easy, efficient and provides great context for words and phrases. I assume it’s accurate but I don’t really know enough Italian to say. I think I’ll probably end up paying for an upgrade because I don’t like the loud full page ads that pop up intermittently. But hey, everyone has to make a living so I think its only fair.

Summer 2017. This app is great! I have a pretty good command of Italian but there are many words that this app helps me with when speaking with people. It was invaluable. I was able to communicate with people last summer on my trip to Italy. I would recommend it for beginners and for more experienced people who may not have an extensive vocabulary.

A great app!. This app is very helpful for anyone trying to learn Italian and also especially useful for the traveler who just needs help with the correct phrasing to get from one place to another. I love it!

Changing in a bad way. I’m very concerned about this App. I’ve relied on it heavily for probably a year or so to be my “go to” translation app. But just lately, it’s been giving me some really goofy, wrong and incomplete translations. I mean just within the past 2 months or so. I’m very disappointed because just 4 months ago, I would have given it 5 stars. Just now I searched for a translation English to Italian for shoe repair shop. It came up with “Negozio di riparazione del” which means repair store of the ???? Crazy, right? Turns out a shoe repair person is a calzoleria. I found it on a Different App. This is one of many stupid translation I’ve gotten lately.

The most useful general tool in Italian-English translation. HeI have rarely found an app that is this useful and accurate yet has flexibility for translation. I use it every day and will continue to do so in the future. The App is surprisingly accurate It is a wonderful teaching tool.

Very helpful. This app is very helpful. I reference it regularly. The only issue I am experiencing is that it seems most of the examples are masculine. I am new to the Italian language so this can be a bit confusing. I would absolutely recommend this app for anyone needing a simple yet thorough translator.

Excellent and convenient!. This is the perfect app for me while I learn how to speak Italian. Along with taking lessons, when I’m home studying I rely on this app to help me with my pronunciation and add to my vocabulary. Perfecto!

Excellent as a practice medium. I enjoy the program it is easy to use and very helpful to use to learn phrases and practice my accent. If I could recommend anything it would be to have a way to slow or speed up the interpreter voice in order to practice my enunciation of Italian words. I also wish they had this app in Greek.

Fantastic App. This app has great translation and audio pronunciation features. Has been a huge help with my pronunciation of Italian as well as the strength of my vocabulary. Highly recommend.

Learning Italian. Started teaching myself Italian a few weeks ago and after a few weeks of just using Duolingo and google translate I realized I needed something else lol. I love this app because is shows you related and alternative words and phrases to what you're looking for, and if you're one who likes to see patterns when learning, it's really helpful. It works offline so you can use it whenever your phone has battery. For example, if you look for "il cibo" it will tell you the definition and then under it how to say, "the food is good", "the food is cold", "the food is ready", and so on. I'm a super curious person so I was really excited when I first downloaded this to see so many examples whenever I searched lol

Overall excellent. This is translator app did the stick in my recent trip to Italy and Turkey. Very quick and fairly comprehensive. Works offline which is huge (although the sound only works online). One quibble is that the ability to save the word you searched for to favorites was inconsistent. (Although I could always save related phrases).

Very helpful. Translations for all words I’ve entered so far. Along with the translation of the word - or sentence- below are examples of other uses of the word or words, with audio to hear the pronunciation! Really helpful in my studying of Italian.

Worth the download. Used it for a 2 week trip to Italy and helped me a lot. Since it's an app that doesn't need data nor internet to translate, this translator was able to be used anywhere and not cause fees on data plans.

Translation. This works very well my translating needs. I usually just want to translate a couple of words at a time. It even has the option to hear someone speak the words.

Finnily a company that gets it.. This is the best translation app I've ever seen. It puts Apple and Google to shame. These guys actually figured out how to translate without Internet and they also give you many different suggestions of saying the same sentence. I love it!

Spell check needs to go. I would give this 5 stars but it’s sooooo annoying when you are trying to put in an Italian word or phrase and it’s spell checking and changing what you are typing! The word isn’t English so stop changing it to an English word. I can’t believe no one has complained about this. I end up having to retype everything and it takes forever to get the translation. Put something in the settings so you can turn off spell check please.

Review. I have been working on learning the Italian language for the past two years. I use Duolingo, cd's , and non formal conversational classes. This app is the glue to all three of them. Excellent App!!!

Amazingly helpful. I know amateur Italian (about like someone who just got an A in a year of high school Italian) and this app is fantastic for promoting me with phrases I can’t think up on my own but I know then when I see them. Love it.

Fast and Effective. Includes pronunciation of words in Italian and English, alternative phrases and uses or the word, with pronunciation throughout. Very fast with suggestions while typing your search, and helpful if you are searching for correct spelling. A useful tool for the Italian leaner.

Was working until a few days ago. I paid for premium before going on my trip and it was working but now I can’t access the dictionary nor can I hear pronunciation when I’m offline. I attempted to email the company but that feature didn’t work either. Bummer, I needed this to assist me on my trip.

Helpful. I find the translator easy to use especially since you type English or Italian in the same search space and it automatically translates to the other language.

Generally pleased. I like the app because it is easy to use and free. It generally meets my needs. I have found limitations especially with phrases. It's free so I recommend using it in conjunction with whatever other program you prefer. Note: free = ads.

So far excellent!. Just stated using it- had a good base but am rusty- so far excellent and I love JUST the two language focus rather than having a million ads interruptions for other languages like other places. Few people tackle more than one language at a time so such interruptions are off point. Have NOT found that here which is GREAT! Plus, the example sentence constructions , (singular, plural, male, female, first, second and third persons) provided when you look something up is EXCELLENT- and all combined with an audio clip for EACH; someone speaking the phrase(s) in either English or Italian- REALLY REALLY GOOD!

A Great Learning Tool. I found this to be one of the easiest and most intuitive language learning apps yet! It’s helping immensely with the work I must do between my weekly language class. I’m so pleased to have found it.....

Sam. Outstanding app for learning and travel. I like it for learning because, besides the translation you request, it also gives you multiple variations using the same word or phrase in different contexts: masculine and feminine, singular and plural, different verb tenses, and many more. It also got me through 3 weeks of my first trip to Italy in spite of my limited knowledge of the language. After 1 week I was so pleased I bought the premier version for extra features. Extremely functional and versatile app.

So far it's working great for me.. I study Italian every day. When my longtime translation App stopped working, I looked for another to meet my needs. This one is fast, comprehensive, and accurate. I know I've yet to take advantage of all that it offers.

Best mobile dictionary with some easily fixed flaws. I would give this app 5 stars if the reminders to rate the app didn’t constantly interrupt me while typing words to search. Not only does it interrupt, but when the alerts to post a review pop up, they also make the app search for whatever you had half-way typed in. So you have to do the search again. How obnoxious. And the full-screen ads pop up at the same aggravating moments. Unfortunate self-imposed flaws that make this app more frustrating to use over time.

This app is not working!!!. I’ve had this app for many years and now it is not responding!! What happened?

My problem. I study Italy and I used this app a lot but this day I can’t translate sentences. I live in Iran and because of sanctions it’s impossible for me to buy by payment what should I do? I’m waiting for your response, Aida

Would give it more stars but.... This is the best of 3 Italian translator apps I have tried but the ads are maddening!! They regularly hijack the full screen. I paid to go ad free but that did not make a difference. As the developer recommended I tried to “restore”, no improvement, and now I can’t get another email to go through to them Waiting.

Well done. I downloaded six free Italian-English dictionaries and put them to the severe test of words from Machiavelli's I Discorsi. This app was the clear winner in the competition, excelling in search speed, ease of use, pronunciation, definitions, and offline use.

Schooling. So far so good. I had it for a few weeks and it’s helped me when needed. I really wanted to give 3.5 stars but doesn’t work that way. I can’t give a full 5 stars because the voice translator part does not work for me at all.

Doesn’t work!. This app only does English to Italian consistently using voice; Italian to English rarely works!!! This has been the case for several months now, Kind of a farse that this app has been frozen for an hour now while I’m in Italy, won’t do anything it’s supposed to, but allows me to write a review! Best language tool...ever.. While I can not conclusively say this is the best language tool for learning Italian for absolutely everyone, I have used numerous other approaches to learning such languages as Chinese, French, German, Spanish, and Hebrew. This is hands down been the very best for me, even over Pimsleur and Rosetta Stone. This has been true for Italian friends who use the same app to learn English. The app solves all my previous difficulties in language learning. However, one must still practice. From nearly starting scratch eleven months ago, my ability to travel alone in areas of Italy where no one knows English has been easy. I recently traveled by bus and was able to have a conversation with an Italian man for an hour and a half, only needing to verify two words I was uncertain of. If you don’t get this app, you are wasting a lot of time and effort to learn Italian.

Very helpful. I am learning Italian with a group of friends and am finding this a very useful tool. We are trying to speak to each other exclusively in Italian, but are just beginners. This app helps to facilitate conversation and supplement what we are learning. It is the best translator I have found so far.

Good app - obnoxious use of ads.. The ads pop up suddenly when you are expecting a response from the app and are very jarring. The ads also have non- obvious buttons to switch them off. I avoid using this app in free mode. In paid mode it is quite useful and I feel I am getting sufficient value, but those ads are extremely obnoxious.

Easy Translator. I used this app a lot in preparation for a trip to Italy, and quite a bit while I was there for quick references. It was very helpful! I still use it just for fun sometimes, I hope to have better language skills before my next trip.

Fantastic. Finally an app that allows you to learn phases and how words are used in real conversations. Knowing words without seeing how they are used in the language and culture will leave you lacking the ability to communicate. We have used the English/Italian translator

I love this app!. This app is the most user-friendly and most useful learning adjunct of all the apps I have tried. The format of providing the translation you request (in English or Italian), but then providing many alternate examples in real-life sentences is genius. I could not be learning Italian nearly as quickly without this tool!

Started out good but now just okay. It worked great for the first few months but now when I translate it gives me many translations but not the one I want. For example I want to translate “it was fun” several variations and deviations of the translation come up but not the direct one. I like to see all the other ones too but I would like the direct translation.

A great App for learning Italian. I am really enjoying using this app to help me as a student to come to terms with the Italian language. It could also be used as a traveller to communicate to others. !!

Student in Italy. I have paid premium price for this app and used it for two years. I think this is the best app I ever had before. But after recently this app update, I have been asked to upgrade to the premium offline again. I have paid for the premium offline for two years, why I have to pay it again. I want to back to the previous version, but there is no previous purchased information exist at all. It’s totally messed up this app now.

Simple to use and helpful. Great simple app that translates and gives pronunciation immediately for on the spot needs. Even offline you can type what you need to translate and it will match it to a number of similar sentences already stored so you can muddle through even when offline.

Excellent translations. Very good translation capacity when I checked against other, especially free apps. Gives lots toassociated and relevant suggestion regarding similar sentences. Speeds up the learning certainly.

Very helpful!. I have basic knowledge of italian from a short course and using other game learning apps. However, unless living in the country, putting together sentences that translate into the correct tense can be somewhat difficult! This helped a lot!!! It's very useful for those also when moving around with no internet. I love that you can favourite sentences so that it's also personalised for you. I would say a good improvement would be the ability to also favourite words that are commonly used in conversation so that it's there and you can always quickly refer back to it. Overall, not bad and worth it (it's free!) and works offline. Brava!

Upon first use on premium. Good but needs improvements Good so far but music it has trouble identifying words is there not a program that allow you to cut musically instruments, also why can’t it pick up on fast speakers 4 star because I’ve only used the app for an hour and I’m using over the internet so depending on the quality of her tech and mine it may change the quality of this app

English to Italian translation app.. Can’t easily move out of screen because another app shows up that fills the screen. No place to uninstall. I don’t want to install another app. I can’t even get rid of this one. What’s with that?

Ads make it impossible to use. You cant even hear the audio examples they give because as soon as you click it to listen, a loud ad will start playing over it. Just use google translate

Study lifesaver. Taking Italian language classes and the lesson book is all Italian, including instructions. This app is allowing to translate the lessons.

Italian Translator offline. So nice to have this at restaurants and museums and not need to use up data! Translations are approximate offline, but it gives you several choices of phrases.
