stats links give page not found error all the time. The stats provide are really interesting and when I try to click on the link, the link breaks with Page Not Found error almost all the time.

Bring back the old one. The itinerary of sa-aus series isn’t being shown. The women’s wc groups are not shown. It is not easy to find the right pages for these. The scores of completed matches aren’t visible on series score pages unless u click each match. Overall experience is so bad that the app has become from “must have” to “must delete” one. Please revamp the app or just undo all changes and bring back the old one. Present one is too irritating to browse through.

Difficult to navigate to game timings and pathetic experts. With the ever evolving new tech in all the apps like video integration etc. Cricinfo messed up the basic use of such sites which is to quickly check scores and see match timings , Internationals first . Some times you end up going on series home and scroll through all completed matches to see the future matches plus sometimes you need to scroll through all domestic competitions live that day . And the sub sub standard Indian Experts and too many of them. Giving 3 stars only for being such a long user probably a decade , moving to cricbuzz now, who have fewer but quality experts and keep it simple.

Great - but could be better. Recently, ESPNCricinfo have finally released phase 1 of their native app for iPhone. It feels much smoother now as it’s not just a web view anymore. This has also allowed for the addition of new features such as the fantasy XI and a smoother all around experience. Can’t wait for future updates and maybe the addition of live activities to follow scores!

CricInfo Breaking News alert automatically toggles on. The Breaking news alert automatically toggles on every couple of days. I have to keep going back to preferences to disable it. This is highly irritating. If a user turns it off, it should stay off.

Need more content on Home page. I would like to see access to match reports and videos in the Home page. I appreciate the summary match report on the current Home page. There should also be easy navigation from international cricket to domestic cricket for checking reports and results. So there is room for improvement.

Massive changes which needs improvement. ESPN Crickinfo, like to say huge thanks for making a very massive changes to the app and bringing it up par to big sports apps. Couple things that ESPN needs to work on with Fonts, smoother transitions, support iOS features like Live Activity, and overall app design/arrangement are basics. I don’t know how and why ESPN misses this kind of quality, the fonts are too small and doesn’t have option in settings to change font size. The smooth transitions / animation basically like doesn’t exist. It’s too blend. One of my biggest request that I hope ESPN was going to bring support of iOS APIs features like Live Activity. Sadly it does not support it. I really like to see implemented into the app.

Frustrated with back button. The back button simply goes back and refreshes the page. It does not maintain context and won’t take me back to where I was in the page. I have to start from top every time. Worst experience. The left side slide to go back is also not there. Always making me reach the useless back button at the top. Can’t select favorite teams. When I go into fixtures I see IPL in the end while I see all useless fixtures at the top. All I do is scroll non stop in this app to find what I need. Not really an app developed for iOS. Just a mobile website in app form. Good in hurting fingers.

Cricinfo good not the app.. App does. Ot provide intuitive visual and ease of use as actual website bit then that. Ot deal breaker. My major use of app was to see ball bu ball commentary and scores. In fist Ind vs aus odi in Sydney app keep popping up some spam windows stating that you won $1000 within seconds of opening score link. I tried at least 20 time. This stopped as soon as game was over. What use is app if I can’t use it. If popup was some add and goes away i can live with it, not spam. Speciall not in App.

Disappointed. Downloaded this app place my team as a like or favorite to alert me for win or loose etc not alerts or notifications contacted espn cos team they suggested deleting and reinstalling delete cookies etc and turn phone off. Well did all that nothing still disappointed... this app doesn’t give live updates on the scores of favorites even when the game is over it still not updating the score til the next day.. ridiculous. Will be deleting ASAP......

Ads pop up by themselves - Shame on you Disney.. Just by scrolling past an ad banner, the ad opens by itself. Surely they are racking in tons of ad revenue from the innocent users. It almost seems wrong in this case as they forcefully direct the user to the full page ad even though they have not clicked on this. Also the UI in the way it’s being done and set up seems so cheap. Disney and ESPN have had great standards over the years, although by some random decision to earn pennies on the ads has been prioritized over the customer experience. I hope this cheapness is stopped and they also bring back the ability to view last 10 innings performance of a player. The desktop version has it so not sure why the mobile does not. Perhaps they can take away some ad real estate to prioritize the real features. Shame on you - Disney !!! P.S. The add support page also gives a page not found. Where do you go to request support before the non existing support page - lol

Hate these new changes in the app. New changes to the UI with lighter color font makes me vomit & quickly close the app. Live commentary gives access to only few overs. I used to swipe the screen to read another Over down below. Now I have to open whole 40 overs of commentary and look for the section I want to read. Whoever is proposing these changes should be fired immediately.

Too many ads. This is the worst app on my phone when it comes to ads. The ads pop up and take up the entire screen and many a times have served ads that won’t even let me get out of the full screen ads. They have served spam and malicious ads too. I decided to delete this app and stick to web version as Safari blocks the ads for me. I would suggest everyone delete this annoying app.

Too many adds on the page. The newer version has too many adds on on one page. While we understand the need for advertisement. But the page gets refreshed without any warning and started to change pages by itself. Scorecard page get refreshed to the main page by itself. Bad bad bad update

Background activity issue. Espn cricinfo app is experiencing background activity issue it is eating up all my battery and I’m tired of it. When I leave the app open in the background it starts taking up my a lot of background activity which is eating up all my battery. I’ve tried multiple solutions to it by killing the app and even reinstalling the app again but nothing has worked so far. Please solve this issue as soon as possible

Horrible Spamming Ads. ESPNcricinfo may be the big player but it has become greedy with meaningless full screen banner advertisements. We have no option other than clicking them or quitting the app. Relaunch won’t help as the same thing repeats! HORRIBLE!! Update: Those full screen banner adverts popped up every freaking time and didn’t let me look at any score. I uninstalled it and switched to Cricbuzz.

Cricinfo Has Lost it. The quality of app has gone worse on every update. The native app used to be very cool. Loading videos on home page is very bad. Looks like web view of the espncricinfo site responsive design. Too many ads popping every now and then is even worse. Create an app version without ads. Try to keep the app simple and easy. Don’t try to fill in too many stuffs like now. Moving to cricbuzz app which isn’t perfect but certainly better than this. Update after an Year, still same or even worse. Tried for a week and uninstalled again.

Version 7.1.2 and 7.1.3 are broken.. Since 7.1.2 version was released a week ago, unable to use the app. It keeps switching to different screens automatically. For example if I am watching a IPL match live tab, it goes back to home page after a few seconds. Sometimes. Or just refreshes the page. If I am watching a video on that live screen the video stops. Or it just jumps to commentary tab automatically. Basically it’s just jumping around on its own. Please fix!!

Horrible, contains spam pop up ads. This app used to be great but now has spam popup ads. Can’t use the app more than a few minutes without seeing the spam ads and then there is no way to close, cancel or dismiss the ads. It launches a web browser popup and then you can’t do anything except close the app and reopen it. The popup comes back in a minute again and you are stuck with this cycle.

Horrible user experience. This applies to the website as much as to the app. It's difficult to impossible to find content that is current or relevant. There appears to be no real structure or organization in place. One clear example is the recent Ranji Trophy semifinals. I couldn't find any article or scorecard for the matches no matter how much I scrolled. There were seemingly hundreds of other articles about other series/matches. As a long time user of this site and app, I hope some changes are made soon.

Crap app. This used to be such a great app but recent changes have made it useless. Specifically, the horrible load times and thoughtless navigation. It’s not very often when the web version is much faster as compared to the mobile app. However, this app just proves that. I am so irritated with the over one minute load times I prefer to use the browser now. Very disappointing!!!

Font size. I’ve used the app for years. Some updates have removed features I loved. Some added new features I enjoy. But now the font has shrunk for following live matches and scorecards. And there is no option to increase the font size. I can’t even figure out why the font size was decreased because there is no additional info being displayed and there is just so much more white space. Anyway, if I can’t read the stats then I can’t use the app.

My suggestion. This latest app is not properly working in my iPhone. Couldn’t easily open. It is not about my internet network but it is about your latest update, I am feeling really irritated with the latest version. The previous one was so smooth and fast and had easy and having all features.,..this latter one is missing something..,,,plz do correct as possible as ......now I am using Cricbuzz since it is not opening easily in my iPhone .....only 1 star

Lack of Content!. The website so rich in content it is a shame they cant find a way to fit everything in the app. The app has been oversimplified which is a huge turn off. I hope you guys find a way to get all the content in the app as there is not much here apart from scores and news.

Crashes and throws out from the current game. Cricinfo is my favorite for following cricket matches commentary and stats. However in last few days the app keeps crashing and throws continuously out to home page from the match commentary. Also it suddenly closes the videos and throws back to the home page. It is annoying and turning out to be a worst user experience. Please fix it soon.

The star of apps is dead.... This was the best cricket app around... I used it for years. Since espn acquired it, it’s just about money (horrible advertising) & promoting their other sports - it has deteriorated significantly. You can’t even see what type of bowler a player is! Even the spelling is now American - and in crucial areas, wrong... this has gone from the very best to the worst cricket app... I suggest finding another app.

New bugs making me look at other apps. The app has become buggy over the past few months. It doesn’t refresh when it is previously open. I always have to close it and then reopen it for it to refresh. Hope you guys address the issue. Meanwhile, I am off to other cricket apps and removing this one from my favorites.

Becoming stupid day by day. Just go back and have a look at your previous version, how user friendly and informative app it was. Now what have you done? Making every section difficult to understand and unable to find required info. It is not such a great app to recommend, rather remove from phone and save precious spaces.

Generally OK. The app in general works ok, took some time with the latest version to get notifications set up for my team. I have temporarily deleted the app, though, as it is sending notifications for games I didn’t request and have no interest in. Hopefully that will iron itself out when I reinstall some time soon.

Watch out. Gambling site click bait causes the app to consistently crash. Shame on ESPNCricinfo.. There's a lot of annoying adware. For example, at the live scores it doesn't show the scores anymore. Instead it goes to some gambling site. At the moment I cannot even view the score cards. It always goes to the click bait adware gambling site and is consistently crashing. Shame on you Cricinfo. Uninstalled.

Not user friendly. Previous cricinfo app was probably the best in the market..had everything possible in terms of record, stats, etc and this app is a complete fail. You cannot look up anything. Also, the feature in which it redirects to the other page it just a waste because if thats the case you don’t need an app, you can simply go the google page and look up whatever you want. In the previous one, you were able to look up the last 10 innings of that player and this one no chance. I was a big fan of this app, used all my life and now its simply a waste. Highly disappointed and now moving to cricbuzz. As of now its the best in the market..but still its not as good as the previous version of cricinfo. One star from me. Hope it returns to the original.

Ads Ads Ads Ads !!!!. I understand to monetize a platform through ads and in some way support that. But the ads on cricinfo after the last update has been awful. There have been few inappropriate ads shown in the platform. The app has somewhat become unusable and way too intrusive. Why not provide ad free version for ESPN+ subscribers. If needed why not bring back the subscription option to get rid of all the ads. You guys have a wonderful platform but please do not ruin it with short term gain.

Good app but. Excellent content ..but poor execution..i have only cricinfo user for last 7 years.. but now thinking about to change to others —very difficult to navigate — forcing to view videos — poor choice of ads which show gift card won from walmart.. best bait scams pop up..only way to x out is by closing the whole app and opening back and hoping the same ad does not show — stats are part of cricket, ranking is also.. deleting the easy accessible tabs is most stupid thing. — let user personalize the tab and not you guys give no option Hopefully someone with common sense reads this and implements From USA

Annoying Ads and Pop-ups ruining a good app. Recent Ads have annoying Pop-UPS and look like spam which point to external websites even if you don’t click on them. plus there is no way of getting rid of them except forcefully closing the app. A good app being ruined. Please scan for spam!!! Should be easy to do..

Waste of an app. Opened a scorecard and this ad would pop up giving you no option but to press back. Clicked the scores again and it would continue to do that and wont allow me to view the scores! Ridiculous! You should know that this cricket isn’t all about india so please stop using using Indian programmers and managements! Service is terrible sorry to say

Ads , Videos , slow App. This app used to be good before. The go to app for any cricket person. But not anymore because of the annoying ads , slow videos loading on the home page. The look and feel has got worse every day. No wonder why most people like cricbuzz these days. Such a shame and not sure if the application team will even realize that.

Waste App & more ads. Don't know what happen to cricinfo app. Usually apps will improve from version to version but i saw a reverse in cricinfo app. I am a big follower of cricinfo from past 12 years & I was very excited when installed app 7 years ago in my very first smart mobile. Last two years cricinfo app disappointing in all the version updates & forcing me to change to another new cricket score & news app. Ads were too annoying me, without clicking on ads, opening automatically all the time.

Incomplete. If you want info about a few player, it only tells you if he/she is a batsman or a bowler. What kind of batsman he/she is, right-handed or left-handed, top order, middle order or lower order is not available. If he/she is a bowler, not even pacer or spinner is not even available, let alone leggie or offie or fast or fast medium or medium. Shame!

Native version app please. Hybrid version of cricinfo is horribly bad. Either make it smooth or go back to native version. If everything is a web view, I’ll use mobile browser itself. What’s the point in downloading the app. App crashes in iOS 12 in just less than 10 seconds of browsing. Being such a big brand, you should have tested iOS 12 beta and make it ready for the final release. I’m following cricinfo for over 12 years but it was never such bad.

Fonts in dark mode. For live match view in the ‘stats’ tab under ‘best performances - bowlers’ section the pitch map is unreadable when dark mode is enabled in iOS app. Please change the text font color inside the blocks to black. Thanks!

Decent, some bugs to work out. The app functions well generally but could use some more granularity on notifications. I’m also experiencing a bug where I’m unable to get rid of the notification badge despite opening and closing the app and trying to click around anywhere I can think of. No clue what it wants me to acknowledge to clear.

App Updates please. With the World Cup going on, is there any possibility of having features like Statistics that show who the top Leading scorers are, who has taken the most wickets/catches ? Is there a different or a heavier version of this app that has those features ? Not very happy with the current interface. It used to be so nice before.

Buggy App. The new update completely broke the app. The homepage keeps showing loading symbol, you can’t see any thumbnails and if you click on more tab, nothing happens. I can’t believe after years of having this app, they still can’t figure out basic issues before rolling the app out with having bright minds there. It just shows laziness on the technical side.

Doesn’t work on my LTE. I love the overall, when I am connected to wifi app works perfectly but not on my phone data, several time I uninstalled and reinstalled but it didn’t help. I hope the issue is addressed in next update. The app deserves 5 stars I am giving it 1 star tentatively. Update: Cellular date was off, turned it on and now it work so 5 stars

Gotten worse. This app has gone downhill ever since it was revamped. The UI is just fancy, it’s a matter of user perspective. However, all other functionality has degraded. One cannot search for players, matches, etc in the search bar. Moving around in the app is not intuitive. The old app worked just fine and was a pleasure to use. Unsure why they decided to change the app.

With every update, this app gets worse. Recent changes include: - Switch to paler fonts (makes it harder to read) - match summary / scorecard on iPad version pops up in a window instead of filling the whole screen (makes it harder to read, and easy to dismiss by touching the wrong part of the screen by accident) - video highlights located between the score and the commentary (makes the game harder to follow)

Gotten progressively worse. It’s now abysmal. Do they even test their releases? I don’t usually take time out to write app reviews. But boy-o-boy has this app annoyed me. Top irritating bugs 1. Pop up announcing you won some BS 2. App/page will refresh randomly when you check scores 3. Links that go to desktop pages just give a 404 4. Ads before videos are annoyingly long and all videos auto play everything in sequence - WHY??? You either got rid of your old dev team and hired some noob or gave it to some contractor or just did not care enough. Either way I’m out. Btw look at the crap redditors give you cricinfo. You guys are going downhill.

Scorecard doesn’t load in iOS 12. My go-to app for cricket news and scores. Can you verify if the app is compatible with the latest iOS upgrade please? Live commentary and scorecards don’t load post-upgrade and that’s the most crucial component of this app.

Better than watching live. I have been following cricket from around the world using Cricinfo for over 20 years now. You always feel in the moment with their wonderful commentary team and the best statistical platform for in-depth analysis of the game. Keep going ESPNCRICINFO!

Pathetic update!. Cricinfo was my favourite app to check score, read articles and to get know what’s happening in cricket world until they upgraded to this new version few months ago! It’s is so complicated, very badly developed and totally confusing. Most of the times i had to close it and use google instead because of the frustration this upgrade has. Please ho back to the old version or develop a simple app

Going backwards. I love this app and have used for years but the current version is driving me mad…the constant loading of adverts impacts your positioning when reading an article, so you end up getting sent back to the top, only to scroll back to where you were, then it happens again. This was an issue with the app on the iPad a few years ago and seems to have crept into the iPhone too now - hoping this can be fixed to return the app to its best.

Stop Notifications. Getting notifications for matches that I haven't even selected to notify.

Ok but not what it was. The app is good in many ways but unable to access different areas that would be beneficial to a cricket fan. Such as, personal stats for each player and former Wisden issues.

Very good but could be better. I do like this app but could I offer some suggestions? I use it on an iPad but for some reason it is not able to be used in landscape mode. Please fix this. I also would suggest that the fall of wickets be arranged one under another to make it easier to navigate. As well could the score of the not out batter please be included at the fall of each wicket? The one star is because the app for me is unusable on my iPad as it is not easy with my cover to view in portrait mode.

Great. Everything you need

Invaluable. I love being able to keep an eye on cricket all around the world. Information is uptodate and easy access to data about players I don’t know.

Hate the new upgrade and layout. Since the last upgrade, the app layout is poor. It doesn’t allow me to filter matches for certain teams permanently. The default is only to news page. The back button takes you back to the news page even if you are in the score tab. Poor design

Issues since last update. This used to be the go to for live cricket scores etc but since the last major update few weeks ago it is now very slow to update scores, especially when opening or switching back to the app. Disappointing.

A shining example of messing up a perfectly working app. I wonder if the app development team actually test the app extensively before rolling it out to the end users! A perfectly working app whose primary objective was to provide cricket scores is just unable to that basic function anymore. For the first time I ever encountered a “504 gateway time out” message on a phone app. Outright pathetic. Hope you get your act together and sort out the glitches, before you lose long time patrons.

Frustrating to use. The app is a good idea. Having everything in one place. My main issue with it is that when reading an article or scrolling down the live commentary adds load and refresh that puts you back to the top of the page losing your spot. By the time you find your spot again you are bumped back to the top. Ironically quite often the scores don’t refresh and you find yourself 2 or three overs behind.

Way too many ads. Way too many ads. For example a 30 second ad to watch 1.5min video. Also the ad could not be muted easily on my iPhone was frustrating considering the ad was in a language I don’t speak. Pretty often the app switches to a sort of browser mode which isn’t as smooth and makes the app pointless.

Self praising People. From few months, i have been seeing a lot of self praising people that are working in article writing or commentary. They somehow find a way to degrade other national teams and only praise mainly india. Deleting this app. Cricket is beyond race or any national. Its a Gentleman game and cricinfo employees are ruining it very good.

Good App. Long time user of this app. It's similar to the website with good layout, easy navigation and useful information

Way to screw up a reasonable app. The latest update adds a whole slab of new features, but manages to mess up almost all the existing ones. Want to use your device in landscape mode, like you used to? Sorry, you can’t do that anymore, the app only works in portrait. Want to see live scores? I guess you still can, but a lot of the information that was previously available through live scores on the app, such as the player’s career live stats in the format, can no longer be viewed. Just to be clear, Cricinfo still has those stats; they are running on live scores on the website, but you can’t view them in the app anymore. I only really used the app for live scores, but now I’ll have to use the website instead to see the information I really want.

Hard to navigate this app. It looks like the app update has made the app hard to navigate. Difficult to look up for future series and matches

Worse for the makeover. With the 2017 cricket season firing up, I turn to my faithful, easy to navigate, bristling with stats companion only to find a unwieldy, shallow and jammed with ads update. This is a shocker. Sorry to say, but someone who hates crickey made this update.

Could be so much better. I’m quite surprised espn has made such a sub standard clunky app. Navigation is quite poor and clearly no user experience/functionality has been considered . It is so hard to navigate to current series especially games in the T20 World Cup even after you click on the link. App is pretty slow overall too. Wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. Hope the developers consider feedback and improve overall look/feel and UX.

Hero to zero. Cricinfo used to be good but they are putting unnecessary content in it regularly making the app very difficult to navigate through. It doesn’t fresh. App is significantly slow. I check for stats elsewhere. I suggest developers to look their previous versions and bring them back. It is important for followers to read and leave comments like before.

Annoying notification. If content is not available in my region , why you guys are pushing notification on my device.. if you send notification make sure people who don’t live in India can watch as well or don’t send notification for people not living in India.

The old version was better. The old version was better. It’s still a good app in terms of its content but usability has been lost when looking at players statistics.

Does not work in landscape mode. Much older versions of this app used to work in landscape mode (very handy on an iPad with keyboard)... but it was removed a couple of years ago and despite people asking for it back, and many App updates since, landscape mode is still not supported. Why the heck not? It’s ridiculous. So I end up going to cricinfo on my web browser, which completely defeats the purpose of having the App. Please restore landscape mode!!

Used to be good, very. can’t easily find players recent matches and scores. can’t search for players easily. can’t find the debut matches info Team ranking and player ranking is hard to find. Overall this app has become very difficult to navigate and find information/stats.

New update on iOS 12.4 has a bug. Love this app but in new update scorecard doesn’t work. Can not pull down scorecard of team that has finished batting to see batting card or bowling.

Looks good but I can’t find what I want. The new app looks good but is frustrating, especially in regard to stats, regular feature writers, etc. It is just too hard - sometimes impossible to find them. When I am trying to find out how many runs Steve Smith has made in the series or which bowler has the most wickets, I need a desktop to find the stats hidden away under another tab. What happened to the links in the match scorecard?

App constantly refreshes page. Useless. Been using this app for years. Loved it. Recently, it has changed to constantly refreshing and so as I browse a scorecard it continues to refresh the page about every 10 seconds - or even less than that randomly. Will be ditching this app unless ESPN address this. Seriously, it is that bad. Wish I could take a video of my user experience. Appalling

Disappointing. It’s harder to find scores than it used to be, and my lead “news” story is still from the Women’s World Cup. Which is really ironic, because it’s impossible to find scores or news about women’s cricket. The various score graphs don’t ever seem to work either. It’s a shame, because it could be so good.

Ok App, widget is underbaked. The live score tracker is a great way to keep an eye on the score. I'd love to be able to lock the widget to a particular team, or series. I'm really only interested in the test series. Currently, I need to manually change which match the widget follows, or it will switch over to another team. Devs, more options in the widget settings would be great!

New format is abysmal. Please go back to old format! New format for both app and website seems to be going for style over substance. The need to be on Facebook to even read comments on articles let alone make comments is truly annoying. I have found another app and website to use that is less irritating, will check back occasionally to see if things improved.

Really good app. I really like this app when I want to check the cricket scores. I recommend this app.

App is unusable. Page keeps refreshing every 10 seconds and you end up on top of the page. Happens so often that reading any article is just impossible. Live scores are the same as well. Constant refreshes mean that it’s impossible to read commentary.

Slow, buggy and difficult to navigate. I don’t expect an app to mirror the website perfectly, but the cricinfo apps falls week short. It’s slow to load, information is presented with seemingly no order or structure, and crashes often. I’ve had to look for less comprehensive alternatives due to these problems.

Gone downhill. Used to be a great app, but in the last month or so it has become worse than useless. Ridiculously buggy - when I read an article, the page is constantly refreshing back to the top of the article, same with scorecards or match commentary. Disappointing.

Horrible new design. I liked this app, but now it's completely useless. Better use Google to find out the scores. The new format doesn't have any advantage over old, just lots of disadvantages. I lost my favourite players and their stats. The records are gone too. And it's cumbersome. It's baffling what the hell were they thinking. It is as if the users are the enemy, so take away from them as much you can. Anti-users to the max .

Better on the web. Cricinfo’s data resources are brilliant and I enjoy the live chat. But the app is terrible unless you have a very fast connection - every page refresh pulls you back to the top of the page, and of course ads load first. And no landscape view!

Really bad UX. The whole app user journey is painful. For example a new user struggles to find essential information like ratings/rankings of teams and articles. I wanted to read the article from Ian Chapell but couldn’t find it anywhere. Where are the articles??? It used be a useful app earlier :( Time to get it together, guys

Ads ruining experience. You get a little bit of the way through an article and an ad loads and you get sent back to the top of the page. This happens on repeat meaning you can’t read anything. I can cop ads in a free app but not when they completely ruin the user experience.

No notification for fall of wicket.. App was handy as would send notification at the fall of a wicket. I could then turn on the tv and watch the replay. But I no longer get these notifications only the score at a break.

4 because 5 is perfect and there’s no 4.5 option. This app is absolutely mental and very open minded/creative. This is exactly what every sport should do.

Great app but heavily indian biased commentary. App is great. The only problem is the heavily Indian biased commentary and content. With great app comes great responsibility to publish neutral content. That’s the only reason I have given a 2 star rating else would have been 4 atleast

Horrible. On the new version, things are everywhere. There is no set of co-ordination. News and scores all are mixed up. I understand was used possibly from the fb or Inst. However, it should be more easier to browse and can friendly. Keep the scores and stories separate.

App auto refreshes pages. Literally getting fed up now. Page refreshes itself and takes you to either top of the page or back to home page. Interface is so tiny, specially home page that it becomes too hard to navigate. Home page settings refreshes itself to International Edition from country settings. Too lame

Good change. The old cricinfo app was horrible great to see the website and the app updated great progress

Why such a pathetic app?. The website is such a treasure trove but the app is the worst ever I’ve seen in my life. It shows scores of series played 6 months back. Hides matches and news for no reason. I simply go to the mobile web version of the website or open up a browser window so i don’t have to use this God forsaken app!!

Please add Darkmode. So after getting tired of removing the ad banner for the app in my browser, i downloaded the app. Couldn’t find and darkmode option, deleted the app. Too much white on an app to have no darkmode

Best Cricket App. This iOS cricket app is way ahead of the other cricketing apps - ICC, Australia's Live cricket and BigBash. It has a great UI and is always up to date with the latest scores and series points/standings.

Really efficient. It extremely efficient and updates live scores as soon as there hit. I was on the app while Australia was playing. Nathan Lyon had a single hit against him as it was hit they updated the scores. Great app definitely worth buying if you like cricket.

Tiny font. The current version update has a tiny font. I can’t see (no pun intended) where there’s a font size setting. It was fine until a couple of months ago but it’s almost unusable now.

Doesn’t view properly on an iPad 2. In the latest version, articles will automatically and constantly scroll back to the top of the article, making it impossible to read an article. I’ve given up trying to read via the iPad. I have checked I am running the latest version and that the iPad has the latest iPadOS 15.1.

Needs an overhaul. This use to be one of the best apps out there. Now it is almost unusable. It will randomly ‘refresh’ when you’re in the middle of an article and send you back to the home page, this isn’t a occasional blip but something that happens every 5-10 seconds. Great content but app usability is pure junk!

Unusable. Constant ad refreshing means that the app keeps skipping back for the top of the page or jumping around. Can’t read articles, can’t look at scorecards, can’t read commentary past the last couple of overs.

Freezes. This app is a garbage it freezes after a day of the installation.

Way too many advertisements. This used to be my one and only Cricket app. I’m using it since the day Cricinfo stared. Now I’m so fed up with too many ads across the app. You can’t even read an article without being bombarded with pointless ads. The end of an article ads are also very annoying. The app itself has many challenges. Cannot go back easily. No dark mode. I’m switching to another app. I’ll still have it on my phone to read some of those very best editorials and news. But the less I use it the better.

Font is very small on mobile. Can not even enlarge the fonts. Am using iPhone 7 Plus. Thinking of deleting this app.

Too slow. Previous layout was Much better easy to Navigate and user friendly. They have messed up the new format.... stick to your roots.... do not try to make drastic changes.....

Excellent. Easy to use app but I can’t seems to find individual player’s stats.

Add audio of live matches. Hi, please add audio of live cricket matches so that i can listen to live commentary. I wouldn’t just want to read the commentary. Please try to partner with the mainstream cricket channels for professional commentary in the app.

Current iOS app is completely useless. What a horrible update to this app! The current version on iOS is totally dysfunctional. Left swipe doesn’t take you back, the back button in the app itself is a proxy home button. If I’m reading an article and click a link within it, there’s no way to go back to where I was in the article because rbe back button in the app takes me back to the homepage and to the very top of the page. Absolutely horrendous to use. It’s a darn shame how this app and website have been butchered to the point of non-usability

Very slow performance revently after new update. App got very slow after new update. Pictures and pages does not load and very slow when i toggle to another page. Infact when i open cricinfo website in my chrome bowser in iphone its performance is BAU in the browser. Please revert app to the previous version.

Notifications problem. The App is great! But for iPhone X, there appears to be an issue. I had initially turned on notifications only for ‘results’ of matches, but I started getting notifications even for loss of wickets & match updates, with irritating alert sounds during middle of nights! Then I turned off all notifications, but still I continue to get notifications randomly ( not on a regular basis). This problem needs to be rectified.

Hate the new version: navigations terrible. Removal of swipe right to go back is a basic and most commonly used navigation method on hand held devices such as my iPhone Why try to reinvent the proverbial unbroken wheel? we’re used to quick swipes by now. Imagine if someone were to disable the two finger swipe on laptops huh?

New update is disappointing. The new update has really ruined the app. It’s never updated. Plus always loading and never able to see live score.

Nice App. You can customise it to get the cricket news of your favourite team. Thank God, i can skip all IPL stuff

Update sucks a big time. New look is bad and slow look. Keeps on loading and loading and very very slow in response. Links within the commentary never opens. Either fix it or go back to the previous version. Had to settle for 1 star as there is no option for -5 stars.

it takes you to website all the time. Hideous!!. I can’t see player’s last games in the app. At first I could see all the player comparison and stats showing there last games played. But now it takes you to website.

Bug - doesn’t open on iPhone. The app doesn’t open on iPhone. They have lost my goodwill because it’s happening during the World Cup. I have the latest iOS on my phone and my friends have the same issue so it’s definitely a problem on their end.

Poor UX. You guys need to build this app on a native platform. Using an app vs loading the link of safari feels no different. Your mobile app should deliver a superior experience.

New version kinda sucks. Don’t really like the newest version of this. Before the overhaul I found the app very easy to navigate and without unnecessary complication. The new version is very tedious and not very well designed (and as far as I know, does not include player statistics anymore on the mobile app). Should have kept it simple like the previous version.

Pop ups. The same scam advertisement (Walmart Gift Card) keep popping up within few seconds of operating the app. No option to close it except going back to home page and when you return to the match feed or article the same pops up. Please fix before users start deleting the app

Performance since start of World Cup. The app fails to load most of the time. When and if it does, it is unresponsive - you cannot activate any of the buttons at the bottom and the screen does not scroll. Heck of a time to screw up I have had to download another app to follow the World Cup Event deleting cricinfo and reinstalling it does not fix the problem And the problem is not at my end either due to WiFi or cellular data issues. Get on it ASAP before the World Cup is over and customers have migrated away permanently.

It used to be a good app at one time. The user experience has taken a serious hit. It’s has become slow compared to itself and other cricket score apps. Looks like it’s not a native app anymore but a web app now.

Phishing Ads?. With the current app, I’m getting some random Walmart ads that states that I’ve won $1000 gift card. They seems like phishing attacks more than rewards and once you open the ad, you have to kill the app and then only you can access the app again. It wasn’t there until the last release of their app. Please fix this!

Life saver. While I’m working, I can follow espn cric info on my mobile app. U can tell big cricket fan. Currently following Ipl.

Font size. Please provide option to increase the font size

Fast and Slow. Any information is uploaded very fast and interface is excellent. Only one issue is app works very slow sometime. I am enjoying using this.

$1000 Walmart Gift Card Scam. This pop up will not go away. Fake survey to grab your personal information. There is always one more step, requiring at least a $1 purchase which requires a credit card number. I had to stop at that point. This is completely fake. I deleted the app and restarted my phone. ESPN a Disney company must stop such fraud being committed on their App. Apple must remove this App from the App Store unless they fix and prevent such fraud. You know who I am. I am expecting response and results. I am not sure what legal recourse I may have. I should not need to use it with reputable brands like ESPN, Disney and Apple.

No hawkeye data???. All the massive update to make it confusing to find the news items and still did not bother to share the hawkeye data which every other (icc, bcci) app shows .. what a shame .. Also World Cup spin.. I didn’t download app to play that .. one star for you

Not intuitive at all. While the earlier app was not great the “new and better” version has taken it a few steps back. Stories and scores are hard to find and navigating the app to get schedules particularly painful. Please go back to the earlier format and improve it rather than torturing us with this.

App does not update scores when brought to foreground. When app comes from background it doesn’t update currently shown match score. You have to force refresh the page to see latest score. What’s the point of a mobile if you are just going to show static mobile web page.

Latest upgrade made it really slow. Nothing loads timely when clicking on the tabs at the bottom for series. Also when second team innings is in progress the first team innings doesn’t open

Very badly done app. I don’t know who is designing this app. It’s so cluttered. It was good in earlier versions. When I go to scoreboard on iPhone players names are all overlapping. Especially the bowling score card. Even in the home page when the score goes beyond 3 digit it is getting out of screen. Seriously nobody is testing this for iPhone.

Make a separate app for men and women. Having the women's game featured so much is unnecessary. Not interested in scrolling through all the extra “minor league” information when looking for world class and first class cricket results and stories. Are women not entitled to their own app???

Bring back the old app!. I used to love cric info. It was the best way to follow cricket and had the best cricket writing and journalists. That was the old site and old app, which were were great. But the new app is terrible!!! So many features are gone, the colour scheme is atrocious and it is no longer a pleasure to use. It 'just not cricket'! Please, bring back the old app and site in all their glory!

Full screen ads. Scrolling through the feed suddenly brings up full screen ads. And happens way too often.

Previous version was way better. Everytime I click to see a player’s record a new webpage opens. Which is unlike the previous version(s) where the records can be accessed directly from the app. There is no tab for Records or Rankings like previous versions as well.

Closing itself often. I used to use the app a lot and liked it very much, but the latest version is getting closed by itself very often, scores not refreshing properly and am seeing ad popping out now n then. Terrible to use now

Malware pop ups appearing. I am trying to contact App Developer as i am seeing malware pop ups which take me away from application. Pop ups are seeing only while using cricinfo app. And i am unable to find option to contact app developer regarding above problem

User experience very bad. I scroll too much down to see result of pervious matches it’s fine but when I click to see details and back then page is loaded again So again need to scroll down more to previous matches It’s not ios user experience

Messed up app. The app has declined I quality consistently. You need to hire a professional app designer to guide you on smooth user interface and transitions. Going to the online webpage for the certain features like fixtures and player details messes up everything.

imho, this new update is horrible. I really don't know what ESPN has done to such a great app. Before the update, I used to open the app 100 times every day, now I don't even open it. It looks all over the place, too much stuff is there and it is not organized like the last update. Give me the real Cricinfo back. Plsssss.

Series jumbled. Liked scrolling on same page for news but the opening page needs structuring by series, country, etc.

Cricbuzz a much better app. Always loved espn cricinfo but recently it’s taken forever to load scores and the whole user interface has become less user friendly over the years thus have just moved over to Cricbuzz and loving it.

Incomplete. If you want info about a few player, it only tells you if he/she is a batsman or a bowler. What kind of batsman he/she is, right-handed or left-handed, top order, middle order or lower order is not available. If he/she is a bowler, not even pacer or spinner is not even available, let alone leggie or offie or fast or fast medium or medium. Shame!

Ad Free app please. The ads completely spoil the app experience, These ads are just too much. Can you please provide as option to buy ad free experience

Getting spam ads in updated version useless. The day I updated app, it’s started showing me spam ads which won’t go away until I click spam link. Like you win gift card and all. I am not against ads but putting spam in there pages doesn’t suit them.

Widget not working. I used the app widget too often, but recently it just doesn’t work. Despite choosing your desired match in the edit widget option, it still shows some old match results in the widget. I have tried everything but failed, can’t use this app anymore.

Ranking update. Why hasn’t the ODI rankings/points updated after the Pak-Aus series??? Very very biased against Pak team and players. Let it be Indian players and even if they score 0 in domestic leagues, it’s immediately updates with +be points. STOP this biasicm and prejudice!

Live scores. A separate tab for getting the live scores would make the use of this app easier.

New version never works. Ever since the app is updated it's pathetic, old app worked flawlessly and new version is poorly designed and never worked. I had been using this app to track everything wrt cricket, bit recently it's not working anymore. Finally it's a sad day today that I am writing this review and let go the app off my phone

Annoying ads. The pop-up video ad that shows up every time I open a scorecard is annoying. I'm not against Cricinfo making money but this kind of obtrusive, irksome advertising is going to do them more harm than good in the long run. Deleting the app and moving to Cricbuzz.

No media. For the past 3-4 days no images or videos are loading on my phone.

From perfect to bad to now worse. A few years ago I really loved and enjoyed this app. Now after a few upgrades it’s a total mess. What’s up with the poor image quality? The ads on the app now are more appealing that the actual content. Considering other options now ESPN Cricinfo and Thank You for killing this for all of us.

Skip the app and use the browser. Clearly no usability testing was conducted. Like any big corporation with a 'if it ain't broke let's fix it' attitude they did just that - took something functional and crippled it. Kudos ESPN. Navigation is atrocious, won’t change orientation on your device…

No customisable alerts. Version 7.0 seems to have done away with logging in using the ESPN account. With it goes away Favorite teams and customisable alerts at the team level. This is a major loss of functionality.

Terrible. I just loved the app but the newest version doesn't support the ios 9. It has the older app but it doesn't allow me to bypass the "...new improved version. Please download now." Please fix it soon.

App is not being maintained. This App used to be so good but now it’s so slow. Often it does not go beyond the score page and the updates to the scores are also so slow. Clearly the app is not getting the attention it needs or there is just too much data piled onto an unstable system.

Poor performance. The app keeps hanging at launch. The issue started since the last update. Noticing same issue with WSPn app. I have deleted the app and moved back to browser. A big hassle and step down, but at least it works. Time to try another app.

Intrusive ads. Intrusive ads on this app that keep popping up full screen automatically are so annoying. Won’t even let me see the scores, what is the use of such app. Not to mention the navigation links that were present in old app are all gone.

Major update ruined the app. Every since the major update the user experience is chaos. Scores don’t auto refresh, can’t move through tabs and the tabs are sometimes non-responsive. Cricinfo was my go to app for over a decade and now I have to look for the alternatives.

Need more unbiased articles. We as readers thrive to see more unbiased balanced stories on cricket around the world. Not only on a few teams.

v7.0 is great!. As a loyal user of ESPN Cricinfo since my childhood, I wanted the site/app UI to be as modern as possible providing all the coverage and analysis. And they delivered it!
