Please Update. Please update your app, VocaLive. I used to use this app all the time but it now experiences issues with other apps that have been more frequently updated, namely AudioMaster. This app isn't free and it would be awesome if you guys could make it user-friendly and modern again. Thank you. If you make changes I'll be glad to give a better review. This used to be a great app but it's become rather obsolete. I'm downgrading my stars because this app is useless. It's not working with other apps because it hasn't been upgraded in forever ans the developers obviously didn't care to take our money and continue to give us what we paid for. What a waste.

Amazing app. Recording my own stuff and singing lead over other recordings, this app rocks. Easy to use great effects.

This is bull crap. i love the app but when is the next update ? It has almost been half a year since the last update. until the update no 5 stars for you

Recently updated just to add ads. So, before you even get started, the creative flow is broken while you wait. It crackles during recording on iPhone X (still doesn’t support iPhone X size screen) and filters are not as excellent as they used to be. Was excited to see an update I hoped would fix the problems, but, no. They just added several seconds of unskippable ads for their hardware when you start the app. This app is likely done, don’t waste money on the in-app purchases. It still works “ok” on older devices, so I’ll just use it there. The Spire recorder is a good replacement. It doesn’t have all the filters BUT it actually works :)

Vocal live. My vocal live just crashed in the middle of a gig. Please update your latest version of vocal live to work with iso 15. My phone updated now my vocal live will not open, it crashes every time I try opening it. I have the paid version with several in app paid additions

Big time Buggy!. You can say that again!!! Have been using... scratch that... TRYING to use this app for over a month now to record Vocal voice-over. After hours and hours of work put into recording and perfecting little snipetts guess what happens? LOSE ALL OF WHAT WAS RECORDED!!! For no reason!! Just like that! Now it's there and now it's not...perfect magic trick if you ask me but one that makes me FURIOUS that I spent $25 on this. Have informed the Dev but so far no luck in them figuring out what's causing this bug. So save your money until they figure this out. Will update this post once and IF they do.

How do you stop the app from running in the background ?. I love the app, but I can't figure out how to stop it from running in the background when you hit the home button. Also, it would have been nice if the upgrade could have included a blue tooth speaker option. Great app! I havn't really dug in to it much yet, but, only commenting on something I noticed off the bat.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. You guys had an amazing app that got damaged by updates and other stupid things you wanted to do. Then people who purchased the app couldn't use half of the plug ins from the update. Then everything was switched around as if we get an instructional manual with this app WHEN WE DONT. I've seen this app go from five stars to a three in no time. You've ruined a lot for people. It was fun and easy. Now your trying to go pro. Stop!!!

Disappointed....sort of. First, quite miffed that it's an iPhone app rather than an iPad specific app. I certainly would NOT have paid $20 if I knew that was going to be the case. Second, it keeps crashing on me. I can't afford to use it live if it's not reliable! The effects are pleasing but, I am getting a lot of noise and a lot of peaking that I can't seem to get any control over. The layout of the whole thing is confusing at first and it's a bit difficult to get to some effects in a hurry. The switch between effects takes too long for some of my purposes. I'm going to try it live this week and see how it flies....if I can get it to work with out any feedback issues or embarrassing crashes...I'll be happy that I can carry my iPad to a gig rather than a heavy rack unit.... Update to follow.....

Song player. I like the app, my only problem is the songs are alphabetical on my iPad and iPhone 6, however, they are not my iPhone X

Recording live. I would live to use this app to record me at my gigs live but found when I added my song and recorded the sound wasn't very clear. Even connected to my sound system to see if it could run directly but still the quality of sound wasnt too clear especially on the track brought in. Am I doing something wrong ?

iK multimedia. iK multimedia apps DO NOT support external hardware made by anyone but them. If you just love your iRig mic, buy this. If you want more options, don't buy anything iK. I'm about to unload this, if you want quality vocals this is not the way to go. The iRig is very convenient but leaves some to be desired in quality. Until iK adds third party interface support, they will not be getting another penny from me. Their iPad and iPhone hardware is hardly top quality.

Not really worth it. DEFINITELY NOT worth the $20 I paid for it, I would've paid $5 for it though, it's fun bc u can change ur voice and make it sound cool, but after u try everything out it's boring

Overpriced, buggy, not suitable for live, too many ads. and you can't use any of the good fx in combo with each other. The ads and pop ups are the most annoying! Maybe it wouldn't be so laggy and buggy if it wasn't trying to sell me stuff every 5 minutes. I'm giving you an extra star because I know the lagginess is more of a hardware issue, but the fact that you are selling this as a "live" app sets users up to believe it will function in a live setting. Try using this live while playing keys or an instrument, your vocals will feel delayed and it will throw you off (on both A4 and A5 chips). I want my money back.

Paid for full app. And still have to pay for more? It hardly unlocked anything. It’s literally still the same as the free app version. They force you to pay for most the items in the app separately. I wish that was more clear before I spent 9.99 on nothing.

Crashes on launch. Fresh install and it cannot launch without crashing.

App Crash. What’s going on with the app? Ever since I updated to iOS 15, my app keeps crashing.

Limited to one critical effect. This would be a good companion with AmpliTube as it would allow me to build a minimum rig when required. I would love using this with AmpliTube on my iPad, as I could use a small battery powered interface with an amp, which should give me all the guitar and voice effects I need. Unfortunately you can only use one of the following effects at a time; double, choir, pitch effects, and morph. I’m not sure why this is the case as I would think modern iPads would have more than enough computing power to run each simultaneously in my voice effects chain…Fix this, and this product would be the best standalone voice effects app around…

Hallelujah! Audiobus support!. iPhone 5 optimization! I'm a happy camper. Glad to see it being kept up to date. I wrote the developer asking about this before I purchased. I have the four track recorder (in-app purchase) as well. This is an outstanding app for vocalists. It's like having a portable recording studio always with you. I'd guess some really unhappy with this app may be A) not primarily vocalists, but musicians who do more than sing & maybe are looking for editing features , etc. available in apps like GarageBand that cater to a broader audience....this is a vocalists app & it's chock full of features that aren't in apps not aimed @ vocalists specifically. Or B) Casual singers who don't really know yet what all these tools do & find the app overwhelming And younger singers who haven't had to use things like tape recorders with multiple tapes to manually piece things together (aging myself here :p) & therefore the visuals don't make the app less overwhelming for them. But to all I'd say hang in there. Casual, pro, young, old, maybe you don't sing but use vocals for other purposes. Once you work with it for awhile it becomes more intuitive. The quick guide will get you up & running, the manual & their site are also really helpful. I don't work for them. I'm not even a vocalist by profession. Just a casual singer who also stumbled a little at first & had to figure some stuff out so figured I'd pass it on ;)

Not working with Bluetooth or aux jack. I really love this app, but the fact that it's not working at all with my Bluetooth headset really hurts the rating. It also does not play well through the aux. It also gets glitchy when arming and disarming tracks, causing it to blast out extremely loud. Also, it's not working smoothly with GarageBand. I love the features inside this app and if these issues were resolved, there wouldn't be a rating high enough for it. iPhone 6s Plus 128 and IRig duo. I see great possibilities with this app. If these problems are fixed, I will be the best advertisement I can be for you guys. If there's anything that I can do to help, please let me know, because I want it to work right as bad as anyone.

Please fix!!!. I paid for studio but when I click the studio bar the whole app freezes :/

Nice app, but has lag issues. I bought this for my iPod to use at karaoke. Lots of current songs have special effects and this app can produce them. My only issue has been too much lag time between effects. I wonder how it works on an iPad as far as lag time. Anyone know?

Update doesn't work. I'm really excited that the audio editing DAW feature is being added to the vocalive app, but it isn't working. When I click on the studio section, the app freezes right away and crashes eventually. Then I have to restore purchases again every time it happens, and it happens every time. Please fix this. I don't want to accidentally make an in-app purchase that I already have on accident by forgetting to restore my in-app purchases. Please fix this problem!

Update. I purchase all the VocaLive bundle but I didn't get any effects like looping etc... if I select any effects they asking payment again why like this? It's very bad

Not really a tool. Without iPad support and audiocopy/audiopaste for DAW processing this is more toy than tool. With those updates Vocalive could be truly useful, though still in need of a facelift in order to justify the price. It does what it claims, but it's not a user-friendly portable solution. Unfortunately there is no better option for vocal effects available...yet.

You Did It! Thank You IK Multimedia!. I have been a fan of IK for several years now. To be honest when iOS 15 came out and VL started crashing I wanted to crash my phone through a window. But I didn’t because I knew they would make it right and now they have. I have used VL for years and I’ve used all the big name daw”s but non of them are explained as well on the modules and how to use them. Something I’ve never tried is using third party apps with VL through audiobus. I’m going to give it a go later today. IK maybe you could help me out with this question please: in audiobus you have the source, effects and output. What’s the best configuration using VL and what should I use for the output? I have cubasis and a truck load of AU extensions. I’ve never ran VL through Audiobus so please a little professional help. I also use VL on my iPad Air 4 and iPad 7th gen. I’ll write reviews for each as I get to them later today. Until then, a BIG Shout out to IK Multimedia for keeping their word as they always do. I appreciate an app that’s a little bit late on compatibility instead of an app thrown together with a ton of bugs and glitches just in the name of a timely release. That’s worse than waiting for the correct app configuration. Anyone who wants to use quality products with the best customer service hands down give IK a try. Actually give them an honest shot instead just scanning through the app like I first did and said some choice words deleted but came back with the intention that nothing beats me I’m going to make this work let’s roll. Read the tutorials and manual which taught me how the modules work etc. sure other apps give you easier to understand interface but you don’t know how they work they just work. But you can’t bake a cake with 20 eggs, 2 cups of milk and a pan with a hole on it. When it’s mixed up looks a little odd but when you pour it in the pan you can see there’s a problem. Think about that analogy.

👍🏼. Fun app,👍🏼 takes a while to get used to (and to learn how to use) but overall, pretty awesome! Only thumbs down👎🏼 is the "skipping" during recording every once in a while.. A bit aggravating

Recommendation. This is cool and stuff I own the app but u know what would be helpful???? Apple or ikmultimedia ... Is the option of looping while recording. So I won't have to play the same riff for 5 mins straight.

Omg they kill you w pop ups and in app purchases. I have always kinda liked the sound quality and innovation of their products, BUT I can't take IK seriously because they MAKE you purchase their apps...THEN make you PAY for everything that makes the app cool...AND no matter what you pay there is always more to buy and they have a POP UP for everything. I gave them 4 stars only hoping the developers will read this. I refuse to buy any more out of pure principle. You guy are killing your own products. They could be good and useful, but not they way they ALL are. I will go back and change it to 1 star later. The apps all do work and sound great but totally not with it.

Best On Earth. I’ve been using this app since 2011. Now that I have more knowledge on how to produce a song, my music sounds amazing. And that’s thanks to this vocal processor. This app is what you make it and has to be utilized properly for people to get the best results. Continue to update this app. There are still people like me who don’t use an actual studio (Please support Apple AirPods Pro)

If I could give it ZERO stars I would!. Great concept but it's a total fail! This app is a complete rip off! It's difficult to use and when you figure out how to use it, it STILL doesn't work! You out on an effect that works initially...then I stops! Doesn't let me bounce my track! How the heck do you delete a track and start over? It's just a waste of your time and money! You have been warned!

The Best Pitch Correction. This app is unmatched when it comes to pitch correction. I sing using this app constantly. I cannot express to you just how good this app is if you like pitch correction. A MUST-HAVE APP. I absolutely love and appreciate this app.

Be vewwy vewwy careful!. Just a warning. I pulled up the new, updated Vocalive. After going through several pages with loads of this and that but no sound, I went into the settings, and there found levels, which did nothing, and then AHA - "Built-in Mic." Note that I had headphones on. I hit the button, and was treated to a blast of noise IN THE PHONES that I hope did not do permanent (further) damage. Please be warned. For me, it's just another incomprehensible day in iOS-land. Hoping the ringing subsides. MAKE SURE VOLUMES ARE DOWN before fiddling with this app.

Great if they'd consistently update. I've had this app for about a year and used it almost daily with my other music apps. Problem is since the first iOS 8 update they haven't updated Vocalive and it no longer communicates with audiobus. Vocalive is great for creating effects combos to use with other apps but audiobus is THE MAIN AUDIO ROUTING PROGRAM AVAILABLE. Vocalive no longer being compatible due to lack of updates has completely removed it from my set up and now it's just money wasted until they update :/

Import and export issue. I can't import my music from google drive or Dropbox ,and I don't like to connect my device to computers coz I have all my music in cloud service

Almost 5 Stars.... I'll come back and change the rating once they update a few things: 1. Make an iPad version....this DOES work on my iPad but I need to click the X2 zoom and the resolution like that is not as good. 2. As of today...when I turn the iPad horizontal, everything else remains that way... seems like an easy fix eh? 3. Put out an adapter so I can plug my guitar AND the iRig Mic in at the same time.... I wouldn't mind paying a little extra for that. I've said only a few small fixes it needs..but I'm being overly-critical. For the price, the sound REALLY IS quite amazing! I really DO like this app a bunch and will still use it...it just needs a few tweaks. For an iPhone or iTouch ONLY...you really can't beat it!

Used to be better. App kept crashing and lost recordings. Update seems to have fixed this but in app purchases have to be restored every time. Finished products are not playing back the way they sounded before exporting. Very very frustrating. $20 for the app, $60 for a mic and nothing's working like it used to. Please fix this app!!!!

Awesome!!. It's a awesome but i don't know if its only me but my effects seem to cut off or not work after a while & I have to delete the app and download it again to make it work!

Don’t get it.. This app does nothing it claims. It is money paid for a big commercial to get you to buy more. I purchased the bundle and the three apps don’t work together at all. They don’t work with garage band. All of the effects are too gaudy, no finesse at all. It is impossible to get a good sound out of it. I tried all night to get it to work right with my IRIG DUO. It just doesn’t happen. The owners of IK are slime balls just trying to get a little more money out of you.

Seems like it was rushed to market. I'm an AmpliTube for iPad user and, despite the infuriatingly poor metronome function (or lack thereof), I use it pretty frequently for song sketches and ideas - good amp models, effects, recorder, etc. It's just goofy to me that this app only displays in portrait mode. What?!?! AmpliTube iPad is most friendly and fuctional in landscape, but fi I want to integrate my work between the two apps, I have to re-orient my iPad.

Do Not Buy. I purchased this app AND the iPad app. I bought the crappy iRig mic. The mic is made from cheap materials that break easily. So easily ... It didn't even work out of the box. Customer Support? Forget about that too. I lost my receipt for the iRig mic. They won't take their defective merchandise back without it. I've given them a lot of my money for worthless hardware and software that I can't even use. I also own Amplitude / Amplitude Fender ... For the iPad and iPhone ... Plus a whole bunch of in-app purchases. And ... iRig. THIS is something I've actually been able to use ... Kind of ... It's so noisy ... It's worthless. Will I ever buy another one of their products? Nope. And you shouldn't either. Don't waste your money like I did.

Great App. I purchased this app and within 24 hours had an entire song with 5 vocal tracks (recorded within VocalLive), laid down into Sonar X1. The latency settings in this awesome app solve my current latency issues I have in the more robust, professional Sonar application! I recommend this to anyone who loves to sing and has the device to support it. I am using my iPhone 4. The only downside is insufficient instruction to get started quickly. But I am hands on and was able to figure it out. I loved this so much I just purchased the iRig Mic.

Arrghh. Some apps are so bad and pointless that you just delete and forget them. But some apps cost a lot and fall so far short of what they promise that it compels one to write a bad review. Vocalive is so poor and frustrating to use that I wish I could find the lead developer and kick him in the nuts. This would come close to equaling the pain he has caused me in trying to use this app. • The sound is muddy and distorted no matter how you tweak the effects or levels. • Recording is so complicated and unintuitive that it kills any creative flow • I have to re-register every time I open the app • No iPad version The last 3 items make the app sucky. The first one makes it unsable. Total costs: App: $20; 4-track recorder: $5; iRig mic:: $70 - all in about $100.. IKM = Idiots and Knuckleheads Multimedia Also, the icon/splash screen puts one in the mind of Bulgarian Idol (if there was such a thing). P-O-S

AMAZING!. I love this app. I love the voice effects, delay and harmonizing. It makes the song sound complete and professional. Good job!

Yet another grab for your money. New "studio" button is in the way. Not only is this unwanted, but it takes up valuable space on the menu bar, hoping you will tap it to spend $10. Otherwise, once you get past the very annoying popup advertisements (and you thought that paying for the app meant no ads!) the vocal effects work very well. I have used this successfully with audiobus and usb interfaces.

Awful. Can't believe you're doing this! I bought this app to record multiple tracks (because you said there is an option for that ) and when I enter the "studio" or " four tracks recording" you ask me if I want to buy it. Don't do that. Tell people what you really offer and what needs to be extra payed!

The Best Vocals Effects You Will Find. So you think it's expensive! This app is worth every cent, great job guys, love this app as do my kids, thankyou very much.

Has got to improve. This certainly has potential and i can wait till it improves, but it always giving me some sort of trouble. Wouldn't acknowlege id bought paid version, then wouldnt record, feeds back thru my car radio, today started buzzing through my ipod dock (nothing else did). Only had it a couple of weeks, need to learn how to use its features more effectively but so far find it a diffiicult app.

Nice!. This is a great app although it keeps crashing on my iPhone 3GS which is quite frustrating. Fix this problem and I'll give it 5 stars.

Excellent!. Exactly what I was looking for! When coupled with IRig mic and Skullcandy headphones, I get the best out of my IPhone recordings. When are you going to have an audio copy/paste upgrade?

Could Be Much Better. Most of the preset effects are useless and doesn't even have an Autotune effect ...

Very useful app on+off stage. I use this app live + in studio with my band and I must say it is quite a usefull tool. Obviously you will have to buy the iRig microphone connector ($40) to connect your fav mic into the rig. I use a Senheiser e945 mic,and the results are quite nice. A nice alternative to using a floor voice board/processor. Must say the iPad app is more usefull than the iPhone one, since you get a much bigger display and a longer chain of effects (4 vs 3 at once). Gain control can be a little tricky at first, so do take the time to get into the menu settings and use the anti-feedback function. Overall a very good value for the money!!

PLEASE FIX. I have been using this app for years with GarageBand connecting with inter-app audio function , and all of a sudden it just stopped connecting with GarageBand , and now I have to use the Audiobus app, and the sound quality and delay are just not the same , I don't know why this is happening all of a sudden!? Mabel the iOS 9 update? I promise to change my review if you guys can fix it some how, this is My favourite app for recording my vocals! Help!

Nice update but..... I have both amplitude and vocalive from day one and I keep buying in app purchase for both of them. I feel that's a waste of money for me cause y'all don't design these add-ons for these two app the same time. I'm a vocalive user and I find it hard to see amplitude feature that I want for vocalive and when I get it for amplitude, y'all comes it with it for vocalive months to a year later. Why should I buy mic room for such high price, when I already bought the stand alone version.

Really good Update!. Now, I will do all my voice recording with Vocalive. By far, the best one for vocal effect!

My favorite app for Vocals. It's one of the few apps that doesn't leave you wanting for more. I have many vocal apps but this one does everything, ( with in app purchases installed). Audio bus support so it works with my other apps. Good stuff!

With irig pro works great. I bought the irig pro to use with vocalive when I am jamming out, as a portable fx vocal rack. With an active DI and a 3.5mm mini plug to male 1/4" cable, I came out of my headphone jack on my phone to an active DI to input it through the PA system. Sounds great and Ultra low latency is Very good. Nothing worse than not hearing what you are singing when you sing it! I Would recommend vocalive to every singer. A little fx or a lot, You decide. Great App and lots of settings.

Developers PLEASE.... version update 1.0.1. I will love to use VocaLive but it does not recognize the % or # characters. Every time I try to use it and click on a song containing any of these two characters, it boots me off the App . These two characters are useful to identify key and speed change . Do I have to modify all my songs to be able to use it? It would be so ease for the developers to correct this. I hope it would be included in the next update. For now I can not use all of my library. I would like to give 5 stars but...... three stars for now....

If only.... I'd give it 5 stars but between this and Amplitube, IK multimedia comes across to me as greedy and selfish. They make you buy one on iPhone, then one on iPad. Would be great if it was universal for the price, like Ampkit. Peavy has IK beat there. Also to pay $20+ for this app it's so completely irritating to have popup advertising you must dismiss. If I paid or this app don't advertise anything. I shouldn't have to dismiss your latest sales pitch when opening the app. The app itself is great, but IK doesn't seem to be 'for the customer'. If they'd ditch the ads on startup, and make it so I don't have to buy an app for each device I own I'd be a truly happy customer.

Finally!! 4-Track full effect Karaoke Studio Lovers Look no Further!. PROS - Yes, you CAN: 1) import any track from your library (and even direct over wi-fi from your home library!!) 2) effectively remove lead vocal from backing track if desired (reduces sound quality of original but still works way better than expected) 3) sing along (with built-in mic or better quality one avail for purchase) and record in real time with effect - or process effects after recording 4) combine(**see below IMPORTANT) and save final track with background, effects and recorded vocals into one** 5) record harmonies in real-time as above on remaining tracks (or instrument) 6) export your saved final tracks with effects etc. (email option included) 7) SINGERS - you can use the supplied rehearse tool for scales played in any key!! 8) Fantastic additional effects over and above pro quality, adjustable reverb CONS - No, you can't: 1) edit your recorded audio - that would just be beyond amazing if they add this (you coud then splice/dub your vocals/recorded trax) 2) **you MUST make an in app purchase to release the power of the 4-track mixer and this is required to combine your backtracks with your real-time singing or instrumentation recording. They do NOT tell you this and that is a really annoying and frankly shabby way to sell this app - creators take note - you have to pay another $4.99 in app to do this. It does work perfectly though and that makes this app more powerful than any of the other 4-tracks I've tried currently available. All-in then, this app to do all of the above costs $24.98 Despite the very annoying fact you are forced to buy the 4-track mixer (should be included this is ridiculous)...this app is simply AMAZING!!! Love it - for singers particularly, this is well worth the money you'll spend to get demos or auditions recorded and out there in a portable package that sounds phenomenal ... considering this is all done on the iphone4, you will not be disappointed. Creators: consider including the mixer in the package and it would be a good idea to somehow tag this is a karaoke device with reverb since all the competition I've reviewed is unable to do what your app can (but that the name doesn't necessarily imply; nor does your features write-up). Didn't see this function anywhere, but it would also be a plus if you had a notes page for lyrics to songs somewhere in the app.

Best for voice recording. The effects are great. The interface is good. I wish it would evolve into a music studio to be able to create songs with instruments. For voice recording its excellent and that is what it is supposed to be for. Perry

A must have for singers!. I must say that this app is fantastic, I love Vocalive because it has tons of features, utilities and tools, you got a lot for the money. I know it's expensive but it's well worth the money for someone who is either a casual karaoke fan or perhaps you're like me, a hardcore music fan and also a singer. I just love the fact that Vocalive combined with the crisp and clear sound of the iRig Mic sounds just amazing! I highly recommend the iRig Mic to make your experience with Vocalive an awesome one! The app is easy to pick up and work with. The only problem I've been experiencing is that the app crashes quite often, so maybe an update to fix this issue would be appreciated. Otherwise the app is wonderful, I really like it and use it almost everyday, it works really well and the sound is amazing, buy it you won't be disappointed unless the price is an issue for you. Not getting great results. I don't know, I may be biased in that I have a TC-Helicon Voicelive 2 hardware processor to compare it to, but I'm finding that there's a heck of a lot of line noise when using this with an iRig and a standard good quality dynamic mic. Input seems very weak on the board/monitors and pushing the gain to compensate seems to bring in the noise, even with noise filtering on. Feedback control also seems to pull the signal out of stereo a bit to favor one channel. I was hoping to be able to drag this around for quick jams etc. but so far disappointed.

Buggy update. I have to restore my purchases every time I open the app and the sound of some of the tracks is lost. Not a good thing...

Horrible Update!. Simply a mess! 1. Doesn't allow me to save effects on a track 2. Doesn't include Audiobus SDK 2.1b1(This makes Vocalive not compatible with the current version of Audiobus) 3. Studio section of Vocalive is really annoying and needs to be either removed or have a hidden option for studio section in settings. Good Luck to all aspiring musicians out there!

I like it. I'm enjoying it so far. I've combined it with GarageBand for iPad to great effect. Between this and their guitar apps, it's quite a nice little studio for a non pro such as myself. It won't replace a studio full of gear, but a person with access to a studio and the money to staff it should probably skip making music on their phone and devote themselves fully to swimming in their pool full of money. Highly recommend the app. Well worth the money. Those who say otherwise are cheap. It's funny how these reviews are split. Half complain that the app is not as good as a million dollar studio, the other half complain it's too expensive. Developers who ask a fair price for their app simply cannot win.

Its okay but too pricy. The app worked ok but it has a couple glitches and its a little complicated to use. The effects seem to be pretty cool but Im havin a hard time trying to edit the sound. I kinda regret buying it at $20 because I dont think its worth it. A price of $6.99 would have been fair.

Comprehensive app for musicians on the go!. I LOVE this app. Previous reviews lament its cost, complication, and features but I think that was probably user error (the biggest drawback is that it isn't intuitive.) However, the quick start guide under menu will get you going. Also check 'settings' first and ensure the built-in mic is enabled if you don't have iRig. The app costs $10 now vs an earlier $20, but the four track option is an additional $5. I recommend it, fully loaded I can record a song on my uke, play it while I record my voice, add drums and a guitar and have a complete product. It even lets you bounce one track onto another, freeing up additional track space. It has a mixer option, it's easy to move back and forth on the tracks and there is a loop function also. I haven't even started on the vocal features! Para EQ, reverb, delay, harmony FX, even silly extras like evil choir. There are vocal tools to warm you up with major and minor scales, a metronome, plus you can pull in songs from your library and reduce/remove the voice so you can sing over it. You can export your recording as a song and use it to sing harmonies over and save it again, send to a buddy, all sorts of possibilities. I had ZERO mixing/self-recording experience prior to this app so a comprehensive 'how-to' would've been great. But music is about discovery! It's not an easy bake, don't expect instant gratification but spend an hour playing with the different features, make mistakes, re-record, be obsessive and make an amazing final product! This app lets you take control of your music.

A scam or not a scam?. I'm very disappointed to find that after paying $20 for this app, I would now have to pay an additional $5 to expand d track recorders. I would have expected that to come with it. I mean whats d point in having all those functions but with just d one track recorder.. Come on guys.. Very disappointing.. Haven't tried any of the other functions so can't comment on those yet.

Do not get this app. It only has 4 tracks you can record on and it's very confusing to work. I would recommend getting the N-track app. Don't get this!

Cool program but very "buggy". Ok not much time here but bought full version yesterday and put it to task. Two tracks in playback and the program started to break down. While in playback it wouldn't respond to control buttons unless I shut down playback. I did a full reboot of my iPhone 4 to get the controls back to normal. Despite the problems... I still recommend this software. VERY cool what they have done here. Great sound! Looking forward to the patch fixes. So a very enthusiastic 4 stars! But, let's get the bugs fixed guys... ;-)

Are you kidding?. So without warning they remove "FTP upload" as a delivery method and now I can't revert to the prior version that had the only method of retrieving my audio my workflow has been set for since the beginning of the app??? And I get to find this out AFTER I've recorded very time-sensitive audio. Thanks VocaLive. Done with you.

Exports only in mv4 horrible. You can record them if you want to send it they won't be able to hear and definitely can't use it for anything

HATE IT. 20$ for this my app won't even load

The effects are cool but app is not stable. Every time I open the app it closes. When it does work there is static when using headphones with iRig Mic. Developer had not stated why this happens or provided a fix. Save your money and pass on the app & iRig Mic.

Horrrrrible. This app really isnt that great it doesn't really have any cool features that you can get on any other app $20 is a little pricy!! The description of the app was a little bit exaggerated They could add some more free features considering the price of the app!! I'm very upset with my purchase

This app WAS amazing.... But it always times out and exits, and it wont even record any sound anymore. Its useless at the moment. Please fix this. Besides that, it really is a wonderfully constructed app!

Crashes on 3G S. I'm waiting for the iPad 2 to come in the mail. I decided I'd give this app a go with my iPhone 3GS and it crashes soo much on it. I hope things go well when my iPad gets here or else I'll be ticked!

Update Needed!!!!!!. App keep crashing ever since I updated to iOS 7.1.1

Very Annoying Problems with Update!!. I love this app and use it practically everyday but as of the last update with the new 'studio' button when the app opens there is only one track available and it makes me repurchase full 4-track every single time. It seems others are having this problem too. I have to go through buying it and then when it asks if I'm sure I want to purchase I cancel and the 4 tracks appear and I can continue working. I hope it's fixed soon because I have to go through this process 2-3 dozen times a day. The other alarming thing is every single recording is cut up, stuttering and distorted. Nothing plays cleanly anymore. Nothing has changed in my workflow or how I record so I don't believe it's an input problem although I do notice while I'm recording the app is stuttering the signal in some way. Something is obviously and I hope it's fixed soon because it makes working on the app almost unmanageable. Also I've noticed that when arming a track with the record function that it idles for quite some time saying that it's 'optimizing.' It takes way too long to 'optimize.' I hope you guys sort this out. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I really do love this app and have used it since day one and it's kind of like a best friend that I can rely on to catch any idea with. It's always with me and I love that I can take a pretty incredible recording device anywhere. Anyone who has had issues with previous versions I don't think took enough time to figure out best ways to use and record with the app. It's not complicated to figure out for anyone use to working with 4 tracks, logic, Protools. I use it as a sketch pad not a full fledged daw but I can tell you that the quality of some recordings I'm really impressed with especially with a little compression, eq and reverb. So just frustrated at the moment and trying to make you guys aware. One more thing: Bare with me but one of my main gripes with this app is there's no undo/redo function for recordings. Because of the little buttons it's so so easy to hit record when you don't mean to and record over something. I'm a pretty careful dude and I can't tell you how many times I've accidentally hit record when I didn't mean to and I'm definitely a veteran on this thing. Lot's of times you just forget which track is armed and other times it's a slip of the finger. It can be really demoralizing at times and with all the other stuff you have going on in the app I feel it should be pretty doable to add. I know you only have so much screen space but I know you can find some someplace ;)! Please please please consider an undo/redo function. It would make a lot of sense!

Doesn't even launch. I've been using this app for like 2 years now and it just seems like ik multimedia doesn't even care about how bad this app is. I can't even open the app, I created a masterpiece, and now its gone. Thanks alot. If an update for this app doesn't come out soon, I will sue.

Fix. I bought this app when it first came out, and it came with the four track recorder include in the $19.99 price. After updating it, I only have ONE track. And it won't let me buy the four track recorder. Please correct this. I paid for the four track, and then you just took it away? That's messed up.
