Ripped off and just found out this app hasn’t been updated in over 4 years!. Well, I do things the way that they are supposed to be done and I still keep getting punished for it. I agree with my wife when she is wrong and won’t stop her ranting until I can’t stand it and just want another subject to talk about. I pay my bills. I help my children even now that they are grown and are too proud to admit they need help. I do things to help them before they can’t see it and teach them to learn and avoid making common mistakes before they build up and become a costly and time consuming burden to fix. I am wanting to get a better sound from my music and figured surely since I’d end up paying over $150 to unlock the full potential of this app. I thought to myself that the app is well put to together with the graphics and these features must surely be a good sign that paying over $150 ( pretty much paid $170 rounded to nearest dollar) that I had finally found an app to give my own original music those finishing touches to really make the song sound professionally mastered that would sound just as good as the app looks visually. I read the user manual, I have purchased two options to allow me to do some final mixing and make these songs have the crispy edges and deep, impactful transients with a longer attack to make the percussion have varying fluttered beats and make the kick drums feel like they are right there next to and the almost actually feeling the compression and pulses from the kick pedal pounding the drum . I am done reading the user manual and pull up the browser menu to search for my songs, and when I clicked the button to open a folder that contains my songs, it crashes every time. I know I’ve reading the manual again and it crashes. This app is trying to have some credibility based on an audio engineer’s legacy of being a master of his craft and IK Multimedia hasn’t even updated this app since 2018. For some reason the app is still advertising on the App Store and hasn’t been quality tested since Trump was two years into his presidency. They still force you to pay before you will be “allowed access” to other features. But guess what? Access will not be permitted since the developers are obviously laughing at how insane the prices for these In App Purchases are, and still haven’t been able to actually do anything that was said I would be able to do AFTER SPENDING OVER $150! I’m insulted and I feel like the developers should either remove this non-responsive $150 money stealing app and give me a refund since I do want to do the right things the right way. I want a refund because there was nothing to warn me about this app . Honestly is a shame that I saved up some money for something to invest into my music and feel like someone kicked me in the gut and I paid over $150 for it. Because if I learned anything from buying stuff priced this high on a desktop computer, I have learned that since pricey purchases always guarantee that I made a wise choice. Except I’m this case. The developers take your money and then neglect the app for another 4 years while other idiots don’t look for themselves ahead of time and see this warning that this app only does 2 thing. Take your money eagerly while telling you that otherwise, without paying more than $150, you won’t be able to do squat with this app except look like an idiot . Crash suddenly every time you try to open browser folder to find a song to master like this app claims it can do, even though they are neglecting to perform any quality testing like other developers that that actually have pride in their products that they sell for over 3 times the cost for profit since they are giving you the opportunity to make your music sound like you paid a premium for a garbage product that my ten year nephew would show more concern about if it was his creation. I want my $179 that is a total of what I paid to unlock the HD engine and have browser access to load my music, and then get infuriated when it crashes on me after setting up the project name and settings. Then loading the app again to the dread that I will not have any progress saved after saving the settings and the trying to load my music and do what I paid $179 to be able to do. If Apple can’t refund me, I’m taking this to court. Someone is stealing from people that are going through hard times, and think that every app on The App Store is guaranteed to be 100% functioning and able to be given the paid access to even hear a preview of the sound file I want to load. $179 and I can’t even hear or get a measly demonstration from the app. RIPOFF!!! I want a refund NOW! Did I mention. The developer told me to seek a refund from Apple and that Apple refused to refund me my money? I should have bought a new MIDI controller, instead!

Crashes when attempting to add a song!. Hasn’t been updated in 3 years - yet you charge hundreds of dollars for this app!? This makes me have a bad taste about IK multimedia. It doesn’t matter if only 100 people use this app now - because of how much money your company is worth and how much us IK multimedia customers have given to y’all - you owe it to us to at least keep your software up to date with the iPhone! You don’t have to UPGRADE it. But at least make it work for Christ’s sake. Please! What has happened to the world!?

App Doesn’t Work Anymore. PLEASE UPDATE THIS APP CRASHES EVERYTIME I TRY TO LOAD A SONG!

Prefer the sound of AudioMaster. This has a lot of bells and whistles but I find the sound to not be as sweet as AudioMaster when comparing the same mixes.

It's really quite good. No doubt, it's expensive when compared to other iOS apps, but it has a sheen, a character, a sonic quality that is very pleasing while adding the loudness necessary to compete with today's music. If your mix is good, this will make it sound better and louder. It took IK about 8 months to fix a frustrating bug, but it's fixed now and the update adds two new presets, more tweakability, and even better sonic quality. Thanks, IK.

Waaay overpriced and difficult to import audio. Final Touch is only $20 bucks or so, and does so much more. It also has easy let's you import audio easily. It does as much as this and more, and it doesn't crash all the time. Don't waste your time.

Total lack of Import feature. Thought this was going to be as intuitive as most and allow you to import any file.

Crashing when trying to import files. Everytime I try to import from music library the app crashes.

Love it!!!!. If we could get Dropbox import support I will change my 4 stars to 5 stars ASAP!!!! That's the only thing this app is missing..... I've been spreading the word about this app only way I'm mastering my projects from here on out. Thanks guys

Borderline Deceptive Pricing. After a long time I decided to bite the bullet and spend the $99 on the full version. Then it said I had to get the $64 version before I could do that. I wasn’t clear on what that meant but I sure didn’t think it meant I had to spend 64 in order to spend an additional 99. But that’s exactly what it means. Now to get the full functionality of an iPad app I have to spend nearly $170. I would have been better off buying the desktop version. I couldn’t find anywhere where this was Clearly stated. Not happy.

Awesome. Makes a descent GarageBand recording sound as professional as I'll ever get it. I have final touch but this seems to sound a little warmer and fuller.

Doesn’t work. When trying to import a song from my iTunes library, it shuts down.. Doesn’t work

Don’t get the basic upgrade. Sounds great but the basic upgrade is not worth the $50, imo. Very little feature-wise and you can only export things into your shared iTunes library, kind of defeating the point of having a completely ITB phone mastering process. Also, in case like me you thought you could shell out $50 more sometime in the future for the full upgrade, that’s definitely not an option. Also a HUGE hard drive memory hog in a way I haven’t quite figured out where the data is being stored but if you’re rebouncing and doing several different revisions of a master then you stack up memory real real quick.

Five Second playback. It is crazy to allow a free demo of a mastering product that will only play for 5 seconds. Start and stop five seconds is all you get. Eventually you get the message that saying you must buy it to have full functionality after two minutes. No way am I paying $99 in the hopes that it will work then.

Meets my needs. After using this app I can't live with out it now. It sounds great and easy to use. You can use Dropbox unlike one review said you can't, you just have to buy it before it'll work.

Priced way too high. Get Final Touch or Audio Mastering for way less and with more better inter-app connectivity.

No IAA or Audiobus. Cmon IK multimedia I mean it's 2016. Releasing app without AU or IAA or AB is ridiculous. This cannot fit into anyone's workflow without this interconnectivity.

Audio is good, but lack of audio sharing cripples app. Exporting goes into the iTunes shared folder, which, as far as I can tell, is inaccessible to any app on the iPhone. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’d have to connect to a laptop to access the file, which is totally pointless.

The advertisements.... You get interrupted with ads all the time even if you buy the app($50!). I contacted support and they said there's no way to turn off the ads. Very unprofessional and insulting to someone who spent a ridiculous amount of money for the app.

Not worth the money on iOS. It's an okay application on OSX, but is basically similar to EZ Mix, but for mastering. This will be suitable for mastering on OSX for some songs, but it certainly won't replace my Ozone and NuGen stuff. So I can justify it on OSX. As for iOS, it's very expensive and iOS probably isn't the platform you want to master on anyway. So I can't recommend it as an iOS purchase.

Hmm.. So..only way to test this app before buy is import already mastered track from iTunes/music library. Really no another audio import options!?! 'Open in app' in cubasis, crashes Larssen. Why the most important thing , AUDIO IMPORT OPTIONS, there is only 1.

What the....l. Okay. Free with 5 second demo mode and $99 for full version. No idea if this app even works or is worth it, I will pass. Bet it sells for 10 buck in 6 months.

It's computer users get to use it as a plug and then iOS users should be able to as well. Since the app costs the same as the computer version, then those who purchased the app should be at least have audio bus and IAA functionality if not out right audio unit support... Do the right thing by your customers I ik multimedia.

Serves no purpose.. Really IK, no importing songs from Dropbox? What is the point of this app? To import premastered songs from iTunes? I would have purchased it if it had any way to import wav mixes. This app is utterly useless.

The SS in Lurssen is much like the SS in you know what SS im talking about. Bad ideas poorly executed at far too a much a cost. i will put it simply (because these makers can never seem to). the app doesn’t work. And so like their predecessor, who lost heartedly in the second world war for similar reasons and some worse ones… I predict over time, as LurSSen ignores outside voice and any logic or reason whilst pressing forward vith! their vision of precision! that their ideals, the ones encased in deep histories infused and refused will be split-carved thru by a train and soon after, the world will force them into hiding. brush up on your Paraguayan Guaraní

Works great!. No issues! You can really bring out your projects with this app. Great job worth every penny. Not sure about the exporting comments on here. just select more and you can drop your track to your files or email. 💯🔥

This needs to be an AU plugin to be a 5 star. I love this app. I just wish I could load it into a DAW like Cubasis so that I can monitor levels. The app also needs more metering options. I like how the plugin makes the music feel, but it would be nice to know where I am loudness wise (LUFs meter). It would be awesome to merge the Mac Metering app with this. The ultimate combo for an app 😉

Dont buy until necessary updates are done. No dropbox support. No idea how to import files into this software limited functionality seems like. Bought the in app upgrade its on sale and still regret my purchase

Lurssen. I had to buy the entry level of the app, it would not let me buy the HD version, so I paid $64.99 SMH!! And if I upgrade I will have to pay $99 !!! The app continues to crash!! DO NOT WAIST YOUR MONEY AND TIME I WAS WARNED BUT DID NOT TAKE HEED!!! THIS APP WILL CONTINUE TO CRASH! OH AND NO MONEY BACK!!!

Worthless in demo mode. Why do programmers create a crippled demo mode that is totally worthless. I deleted the app 1 min after downloading it, it was that bad. Learn something programmers, make the demo fully functional for a set time like 10 days, that way the public can fully appreciate (or not)your app!

Not a winner but it has possibilities. Since there is a small market for IOS mastering software, the competition is low but areas that could have made this a easy winner, failed with zero support for IAA, Audiobus etc. The presets are minimal and the modifications that can be made is just as minimal. I suggest Final Touch for a polished application and for a much better deal than this specific app. Good possibilities but initial trial run pales in comparison to the minimal competition available.

Great Sounding App. Pricey but very nice sounding.

The App crashes every time!. I wanted to try it in demo version first to see if I would like it and if it’s helpful for me before buying it, since you don’t get a refund from the App is not helpful, just as the same way when trying on a brand new pair of Boots, you just don’t buy the Boots first, then try them on. I feel it’s a very poor way of demonstrating the App when you first launch the App, and then a pop up come up on the screen that says “The App is running in Demo Mode with Bursts of Noise during Playback”, then the pop up prompt you to buy it for 99 Bucks, or the other version for 65 Bucks! Every time I launch the App, try to add a song from my library, the App crashes every time, and I power-cycled several times! If the App didn’t crash every time, and allowed me to try the full version in demo mode to see how it really work, I wouldn’t mind paying top Dollar for the App, since I am Debt Free and have lots of cash to buy what ever I want. I’m am not impressed!

Terrible Crashes and Stores in iTUNES. This is the buggy app that crashes stores file in iTunes and I have still not located where that is. They will not refund you so buyer beware. Complete bust!

Don’t even make it “free”. Starting any business on false pretenses is just going to lead to your overarching failure. I’m sure you just have 100s of these gimmick apps that are essentially useless, probably still useless if you pass the giant paywall. Definitely a shame to see. You could at least give a single export for free, even drug dealers run a better business than this!

Great concept - but.... Amazing concept being able to master on this straight from your phone, but do I really have to buy it again if I already have bought the Max 2 bundle :/ disappointed.

Final touch is better. No inter audio app no audio unit or audio bus ..... I can't even mess with the other component in the chain .. final touch is better

Importing?. I got the demo to hear what it could do, I was pretty excited , but I can only import songs from iTunes ? Not Dropbox or iCloud ? Am I missing something , what is the point of the demo?

Doesn't work. Can't add any song files....each time I press on the + to add a song file, nothing happens. Should release a version when major bugs re fixed

Brief Review of Lurssen Mastering Console.. All round good mastering app. TICKS ALL THE BOXES. Fast reliable and never crashes

Overpriced rubbish. Limited options to import songs. $160 price tag. At a 1/3 of the price I might consider it. But with other apps like final touch and audio mastering available look elsewhere

Expensive garbage..... If you're serious about releasing an app for mastering that costs this much, make sure it works!!!! I was able to load a song, but as soon as I put the app in circuit.... Nothing. I use Sequoia, Soundblade and PT in my mast ring room, won't be buying this piece of trash. ( A little bit of free advice. You guys should know by now, that regardless of your potential customers age or experience, if it doesn't work, THEY WILL WALK AWAY AND NEVER COME BACK!)

Very Good. can't go wrong with this. easy to use and get superb results quickly. I am making most of my music on the ipad now, so this fits in well. It is very good value when compared to the hundreds of dollars i have spent on desktop plugins, and gets the same results. use audioshare to easily load your files into this app.

Nice function but expensive. I like the presets and function of this app and like how it makes my recording sound but it is expensive for an app. It is not (imo) enough improvement to spend so much on an app.

Impossible to tell. I want to like this app, but the only way to test the features is by importing a mix from my music library. I don't work on mixes and transfer them to iTunes. If anything I use Dropbox or other file sharing methods. The best I was able to do was test with an already mastered song from my downloads, but that's not a great indication. Would love to give this a more thorough test, but that limitation ensures I won't.

After using a couple of years.... After using this app for a couple of years, and mastering over 43 projects with it for clients, I must say I really enjoy how it just works. I have FinalTouch, and I have Grand Finale, and the simplicity to get a classic sound with this is really great! If I could make a suggestion, it would be to add a LUFS Integrated meter to it, which would be great, because these old dials arent always the easiest to get an estimate from. Thanks guys!

Probably great but importing options are brutal.. After dropping a small fortune on this app I was excited to get mastering when all of a sudden I realized that I can't import anything without a pile of screwing around. No Dropbox? iCloud? Audio Share? Nothing seems to work. Definitely feeling like a waste. Positive Grids FinalTouch Mastering app makes this feel like a prison in comparison, they have like 8 options or more for the simple task of importing your tracks, tons more presets to start you off and it's like 1/10th the price. I really want to love this app but in its current state I'm not very Impressed by the flexibility and user friendly import options. Please fix stat.

Very confusing and unnecessarily expensive IAP options.. Very well thought out app with a clean professional look but free version is useless and the IAP option to open up HD audio handling and export (on sale for $49.99) can only be used after spending $24.99 for the play/process option. For $75 there are a lot more worthwhile mastering options out there. Sad to say but IK has been kicking out mediocre, overpriced apps that don't hold a candle to their competition for the past few years. Even when IK has a sale the competitors apps are still much more cost efficient and offer more bang for the buck. Don't get me wrong, the quality is there with this app...it's the one instance where the competition (final touch) falls a bit short on quality but I'd still have a very difficult time spending more than $50 total for the unlimited experience with Lurssen.

Lurssen Mastering Console - Clearly a Best In Class Mastering Tool. This is the first release of a brand new audio mastering app which to my ears, sounds killer right out of the gate. I was hoping for a tool that would save me loads of time when mastering live recordings of my professional night club and corporate event band. Lurssen Mastering Console absolutely gave my tracks the dynamic punch, sonic sheen and elegant cohesiveness that I would have previously had to spend hours trying to achieve in my MacBook Pro’s DAW using highly respected Plugins. Don’t get me wrong. Those Plugins yield wonderful results but, I wanted to have a more streamlined and more repeatable approach which would still knock my socks off sonically. Lurssen Mastering Console did this convincingly, and I will continue to use LMC for Mastering until my iPad Air 2 melts into pool of plastic and metal goop. I’ve been fortunate enough to have had a couple of album projects completed at the legendary Mastering Lab in Hollywood under the supervision of the late Doug Sax, co- founder and resident genius! In each case, he assigned Gavin Lurssen to make all of the audio, EQ, Dynamics and ear candy choices for our Final Sony U-Matic Master. Every time that I got to be in the room while Gavin accomplished his magic, I was blown away by how efficiently he worked. How tight and polished our finished product was and how happy my client was to part with his money. One time, we even came in under budget. I’m convinced that Lurssen Mastering Console aka LMC does a remarkable job at capturing the skilled sonic perception, creative brilliance and artistic choices which took many hours of sweat and persistence for Gavin to attain. And it’s available for $99.00 ??? Yikes, I couldn’t buy this fast enough! I’m also sure that LMC will improve over time and become the “Go To” Mastering app for the iPad platform. Way to go Gavin - Lurssen Mastering Console is a winner!

Lurssen app almost there! ... almost .... Love the app’s potential! But there’s an issue. Dear LMC software engineers, I operate your app on my Apple - 12.9-Inch iPad Pro (Latest Model) with Wi-Fi - 512GB - Space Gray Specifically, whenever I “unlock” the LINK to HORIZONTAL mode, and then proceed to adjust ONLY the left INPUT channel for balancing purposes? More often than not, the “UNLOCKED” (horizontal) position irritatingly ‘slips’ back to the “LOCK” position, causing the right channel to immediately REALIGN to my repositioned left channel level. I need to start over again. I spend far too much time tweaking gingerly until it stays, being forced to quickly save the adjusted setting. This interrupts my mastering flow far too often, thus frustrating my desire to use it more frequently. I paid the circa $75 to enjoy the full benefits, so would you please eliminate this bug within a reasonable period of time, or I have no choice but to request a full refund for what I otherwise deem to be a wonderful app in every regard. Ik dropped the ball on this. I'm an ik multimedia fan, I own lot of their apps and hardware, but they dropped the ball on this one, there are cheaper and just as effective if not better choices for mastering on the iPad, and Gavin Lurssens name attached to it isn't going to make me fork over $100.00 for unlimited use when I can get something for $20 that gives me a lot more options and modules I can actually tailor to my songs, as opposed to mostly one size fits all presets.
