Midi. This ToneX will have MIDI opcion?

Amazing. This is the closest to real amps that I’ve ever heard from digital modelers. Completely blow away by the realism. Especially the fenders. Used modelers that cost way more and sound worst. Using with iRig hd2 on an iPad and it’s absolutely insane. Works with garage band too.

Crashes accessing toneNet (updated). Updating my review. Happy to see ToneNet crashing issue appears to be fixed in this latest build (1.0.4). The previous build (1.0.3) crashed instantly upon selecting ToneNet. Other reviews mentioning this problem are older. The app is pretty slick. I like being able to listen to ToneNet profiles quickly and easily. Makes hunting for good ones pretty painless.

Convoluted Software. I love the hardware, but their software doesn’t get common tasks done. You own TONEX MAX (equally as bad) and have a TONEX Pedal, and you have everything including your iRig HD X registered to the same account. You would think all of you presets, purchases and cab IR’s would be available on both apps, right? They are NOT. You are stuck with only the free stuff off of ToneNet on this app. Now, who is writing this software? Don’t they understand what owners of this fine hardware need to do to get their tones working…and working everywhere? Apparently not. What a shame! Such excellent, capable hardware crippled by crap software. IKM, get your act together. There are many excellent sounding alternatives out there. Fire the knuckleheads who don’t understand basic “simple” functions of what users need to do. It’s not supposed to be complicated or impossible. Fix the issues.

Great app!. Love this app and the tones. Everything used to work fine until updatw 1.0.3. But i see that the latest 1.04 update fixed the crash of the stand-alone app when trying to connect to ToneNET. I am a happy camper again and pleased with the quality of the app and the way the developer fixed the issue in a timely fashion.

Hmph oh well.. It’s ok I guess for being partly free. Needs a tuner and delay. Can’t really use it in my DAWs. Cubasis3 Garage Band or AUM.

Great Tone!. Connecting with iRig HD X. Other than a slight amount of lag with my iPhone 12 pro Max (compared to TONEX pedal with no perceived lag), it’s awesome. Great practice set up in the living room without having all my gear cluttering things up.

Update Fix Needed. Worked great until last update.now it crashes every time I try to use it?

Unable to login to my account. App looks nice. But unable to use, it will not logon to my account.

Overall great. Some teething pains here and there, but this app actually has the best feel and response to pick attack of any guitar app I’ve tried. Can’t wait to see what’s coming with this app, but is usable as it is for sound and feel alone. It works great with iRig HD 2 or Xsonic Xtone on iPadOS 16.1.1

Be aware. I got this app so I can use it on a mobile basis on gigs. After weeks of working with IK Multimedia about the app not booting up at gigs I was finally told that if I had any presets downloaded from ToneNet that I would then always need a WiFi connection for the app to load (authorization check for downloaded presets require an internet connection). So if you intend on using this app on a mobile basis you can forget it. It won’t boot up without a internet connection. They need to fix this

Tube Tones without a doubt. This is not only a rival to Fractal for sound quality, but easily matches or beats any hardware profiler while costing vastly less to use and get started with. They also sell a pedal if you want that stores your amp profiles, and again… it’s cheaper than even the crappy multifx pedals out there.

Pretty sad that app won’t load on several devices completel garbage. Useless garbage. Unable to use it because the app does not load. It would be great if they can focus on quality not quantity. Imagine going to a perform a show and app won’t open. Tested on several devices with same issues. Seems that there server went down or blocked. To me this is no where ready for any performances. No preset export or sharing or Tested on 2022 iPad Pro /iPad Pro 2015/ iPhone SE Note to IK we know you are IP blocking which is easy to to bypass with VPN. 3 months later with same issues on new version.

WHEN WILL THIS WORK WITH LOGIC PRO. UPDATE IT WORKS NOW. Still doesn’t work with LOGIC PRO. Many other developers updated in <1w of Logic dropping. You’re killin me smalls UPDATE: Thanks it works in Logic now. 11/10 stars for sound - it’s incredible. UI still is clunky though

ToneNet crashes instantly since update 2/9/23. Noisy,tones not real sounding , and quite pricey. Stick with Amplitube. WAY better tones, cheaper, and WAY more versatile. IK just update Amplitube please. Been a LONG LONG time!!

1.0.3 update bug. TONEX 1.0.3 update is crashing TONEX when accessing ToneNET Please fix. Still a very nice app

Great App, Sporadically Fails to load. Fantastic AUV3 for bringing (studio) desktop and (live) TONEX Pedal tones into an iOS environment. Version 1.2.1 sporadically fails to load with Loopy Pro host. I’ve reported to Loopy Pro. They’ve investigated and reported back that it appeared to be TONEX issue. Hopefully this can be looked into for a future update.

Do we need this?. AmpliTube 5 with auv3 support would be better but I guess that makes too much sense. Ik Multimedia is pretty much old news as far as IPad apps goes, they used to be ahead of the game, now they’re behind and it seems like nobody there are using common sense as far as developing apps for the IPad goes, I’ve invested hundreds over the years in Ik Multimedia apps and in app purchases and aside from MixBox they are all obsolete and have been bad investments over the long term, and that could have been changed if auv3 had been implemented in them. Sorry IK, I’m not investing another cent in your apps unless it’s AmpliTube 5 with auv3 support.

No input from Line6 Sonic Port interface. Latest 1.1.0 Tonex, 15.75 iOS on iPhone 6s. No i/o in mixer, even at max setting. Reviewed User Manual & FAQ’s, no support for this issue. My setup works fine for years in Amplitube, Tonestack, GE Labs, Jamup Pro & Moog Model D. No documentation mentions my any hardware restriction or limitation. Hopefully this can be sorted out soon.

It’s just screaming. I try the power scooped amp and cab, but all it does is scream. Not the bearable feedback that comes from any amp but horrible screeching, is it the fact that I’m using the nano amp? What am I doing wrong?

Great tones, but want to make more sounds. Very good tones, but I would like to use an effects pedal on the amps/rigs. iPhone version doesn't allow for a pedal and a amp to be used and the same time. Is this going to be fixed?

AmpliTube ?. Is it possible to open TONEX pedal or amp inside Amplitube as it is on pc?

So Far So Good To be honest I have my doubts and I have been displeased with this company in general (IK multimedia) maybe it’s because they do what suits themselves best in lining their pockets! Example I have paid and bought multiple in app purchases for SampleTank which has now been abandonware for near 5 years, No AUV3 no updates no nothing! I then also bought into the app iGrand Piano and bought in app purchases as well which has now been abandonware for over seven years, no AUV3 no updates no nothing! So it does seem to an extent and fair to say a disingenuous company with lack of concern and loyalty and care in regards to the people that pay their salaries. Regarding Tonex I tried the free version and was relatively pleased and especially more so with some of the free captures I acquired on their user base ToneNet I decided I would like to upgrade the software and notice that at times they have sales and special pricing on their direct online website. So I was able to buy the software for $99 less $20 jam points and thankfully snagged it for $79 Being aware they have the Tonex pedal which was not of any interest as I perceived it as more expensive but at the same time limiting as well as I think it’s USB out capabilities is limited to 44.1 kHz and of course the fact that with limited computing not being able to run parallel amps and effects if so desired. So my intention is to use the app in conjunction with Cubasis for recording and AUM for general practice, jam and live playing as AUM would allow far greater versatility and multiple instances to allow parallel amp chaining and endless variation of additional effects. I will say I find it very quick to be able to get really good tones with minimal effort. I have many of the other guitar amp simulators and I find that I typically spend and consume and waste too much time fiddling and tweaking and twiddling which inevitably hinders my actual time of playing/practice and creative pursuits. So in this regard I most definitely give Tonex a thumbs up and hope that maybe they would port their AmpliTube 5 desktop software over to iPad OS as well to allow further integration. Last but not least I hope that they will stand behind this product and hopefully all the aforementioned products with ongoing continual support and product enhancement.

Tone net crashing. Every time I try to connect to Tone net the app crashes. I purchased the Max version of the software so I could access all my gear on IPad. Now it’s useless without tone net access.
