Chemical Safety Data Sheets - ICSC App Reviews

Highly Useful for Field Work. As a commercial building inspector I have used this app when paper safety data sheets weren’t available onsite. Clients have been amazed when I have emailed them the appropriate SDS while still at their location. Don’t know how many different SDS’s the app contains but it must be in the thousands.

Chemical Safety Data Sheets. Absolutely a great application just downloaded it a few days ago and all the information is spot on and easily accessible

Good start. I formulate for a fertiliser company and I rarely find what I need on this app. If you do some very generic searches you might find something applicable. Too much time is spent doing so. Google is faster.

Excellent Resource. Great app. Has multiple classifications including UN hazard. Great for warehouse workers and over the road drivers.

ICSC. Goes beyond Niosh pocket guide with more entries and reviewed more often. As an apps, it is portable and readily available to emergency responder community.

Great for jobs and school. It's a great app because it tell you in detail everything about a chemical. It is great for understanding new chemicals on the job and great study for college and maybe high school

Missing some chemicals, but great!. This is very helpful for university work, but some of the chemicals we use are missing from this app: besides that it’s very nice!

Helpful App. As an EH&S manager I find this app to be very helpful when I need to quickly search a chemical. It's very practical since I don't carry an SDS binder with me all the time

Handy. This app has been handy with several incidents that I have come across and also identifying placards I come across on the road. This App is excellent with detailed info on any chemical listed.

I also downloaded the $2.99 NIOSH MSDS reference app to compare with this one and I found that this had more chemical compunds available in its listing than the paid app. AWESOME job guys! I hope though that you would include iPad viewing support in your next update. That would make the app even more awesome than it already is. 5 STARS!

ONE thing separates this app from being 5 stars and 1..... The lack of the (literally) most commonly purchased and used pesticide GLOBALLY - by both homeowner-consumers & Licensed Pest Control Operators/Companies... If you downloaded this app, you probably already know the answer here. Bifenthrin! I’ve searched many things in this app and it has it all, or so it seemed. When I realized that Bifenthrin wasn’t in the app, my viewpoint totally changed. I’m a licensed operator. I have to carry around a huge book full of safety data sheets in case of emergency. It’s EPA law (in Florida, at least) that each PCO’s vehicle contains a book holding SDSs for any and every chemical product in/on their rig. I figured this app would be a convenient loophole to save space in vehicles but more importantly - a faster way to access the information needed in the *very rare* case of an actual chemical emergency. What are you guys doing here?... making an app as thorough as this one seems to be - not including the most implemented product worldwide.. update this and I give you 5 stars! Otherwise I’m finding a new app.

Great tech app. Great general app especially for quick reference similar to an MSDS app. Clear and well formatted for an iPad some of the other comments I don't agree with you either know your commodities or you don't. Some of the nay Sayers don't appear to and I wouldn't use this to supplement a chemistry lab...it's an app not a cure all. As stated great information for general purpose use.

Ready Reference. Very handy and a lot of info.

No NSN Search!. I work with hazmat every day in the Military and there are multiple pieces of hazmat I manage and use on a daily basis and none of them are found within this app. We use polyurethane paint almost every day and it is not even found in this app. Also they don’t allow you to search for a type of hazmat using the national stock number system aka NSN’s. So that’s a big letdown to I’m giving it two stars, not that great

MSDS substance. Application falls down in some areas with generic information, for example wear protective gloves which means nothing really as type of gloves should be specified, it is simple to do as most chemicals can be protected by 6-8 types usually. The type of glove giving best protection should be stated. First aid info is also too generic.

Hazmat Firefighter. Good info, when you need it fast. Recommended for first responders.

LPG. There was no reference to LPG per se It took some time for me to remember that LPG was a mixture of Propane and Butane. You need to include more generic names and cross reference them to their constituent products.

Best app. This is a good app, just needs to update and add few more elements and solutions

MSDS substance.. Good general information including HAZCHEM class info, UN # etc. Cant be used for proper management system use against Aust. Legislation, it doesn't comply with the current code of practice, DG regs storage & handling etc. However; it's a good quick reference.

Thumbs Up. I am a chemistry student so I have to fill out an MSDS 3 times a week an I find this app is very handy!!!, an has all the required info for the msds! However I don't think it's been optimized for instance a favourite chemical list would be great!

Garbage, do not use. Not actual safety data sheet as per global harmonization. Inaccurate safety information, no PPE information, do not waste your time downloading.

4. The only thing i wish woukd beincluded is the NFPA diamond. Other than that, very informative.

chemical safety knowledge. this app is very useful to know about safety and lot of things that necessary for laboratory work.
