App is buggy-search functionality. There are so many little things wrong with app. Simple things that can be fixed, in my opinion, quickly. The search function does not work properly. After a search, when I click on the verse it doesn’t take me to the corresponding place in the bible. If I select a new book and verse, the app does nothing and the old verse still shows. I actually have to click home then the verse I wanted shows on the home page. Too much work to read the Bible.

Caution. I cannot find any email showing that I paid for this app so this morning’s email is suspicious to me. I received an email saying that I needed to update my payment information on file to pay for my subscription. I immediately deleted the app and checked previous emails to see when I would have ever paid for this subscription in the first place. I don’t recall giving them my payment information. I emailed and requested that my personal information be deleted and that I could not pay for a subscription and was not renewing it. Emails that request payment information are a cause for worry these days.

USE CAUTION!!! DELETE THIS APP!. DOES NOT SHARE ACCURATE TRUTH! Says “The Holy Spirit’s Ministry is to shed light on “OLD TRUTH” (already revealed in scripture), not to reveal “new truth”.” Continues on to say Holy Spirit does not speak today not verbally nor in visions or through “inner light”. If we believe Holy Spirit is speaking through visions, thought, verbal or any way we are creating or fabricating this experience. FALSE! Acts 2:17 says- And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:. The editors and producers of this app operate in RELIGION. They do not clearly understand the Word as it says in John 4:24 “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”” USE CAUTION WITH THIS APP!!!! Something always seemed off about this app and I rarely if ever used it but now I am deleting it and sharing with others. I wish I could upload the screenshot to prove what I am saying being posted on the app!!!! FALSE TEACHING!!!

Best Bible to read. So easy to understand compared to other versions. God (Jesus) doesn’t want us to be confused. He loves us soo much and wants us to know Him and love Him and be joined to Him by His Spirit. Life is truly all about a relationship with Him and not at all about religion. And this Bible is the best way to help you know Him. ❤️

Love this app. I really do like this app, but recently the library hasn’t been pulling up. The only thing that loads is the home page. If the creators of this app read this, please fix it! It used to work and used it all the time to help me study.

Much improved recently. Update - newest version seems to have fixed the bugs while retaining the utility. Upgraded to 4 stars. Thank you for making this valuable app available for free. I love this app for its chronilogical order reading option. Latest versions have been buggy, however, and most recent 3.0.1 version is unusable because of a email sign-up interstitial screen that doesn’t work (on an up-to-date 5s).

New user - doesn’t work. UPDATE: I tried once again after the most recent update and the note from the developer saying to try it again. It still doesn’t work. I downloaded and re-downloaded the app but can’t get past the email sign up screen. It seems neither of the buttons work. I tried both with and without submitting my email address. I would love to use this tool but it doesn’t seem to work. What say you, developers?

Prepare to be spammed!. They send me e-mails all the time and I do not even know how to make them stop! I thought maybe I had signed into their site but when I logged in after performing a "password reset" I got a message that I had been a member for 0 days! So they created an account because I "reset" my password because they were spamming me? All I can figure is they got my email from checking out their app and all they do now is spam me? Not cool! I want the emails to stop!!!

Bug in Reading Plan. I have been doing the Chronological Reading Plan in this ap, but it will not let me continue past Numbers chapter 7. It is absolutely stuck there. After I read that chapter there is no button to allow me to check off that day and move forward. There is a different button which will advance the chapter, but that button doesn't advance the reading plan, so the next day when I come back to continue the reading plan it puts me at Chapter 7 again. I think this the first time in this reading plan where the assignment for the day is just one chapter. I think that condition may be what triggers the bug. Just a guess -trying to help the developer. I've been at this stuck point for about a month now. I've tried a variety of tactics to get around it. I tried waiting, hoping the bug would get fixed. I've deleted the ap and re-installed it. Nothing helps. Very sad.

Glitch w/the app. Good morning. I don’t know if anyone else is experiencing this same issue or if anyone has brought this issue to your attention but every time I go to open the app, it’ll just close out after a few seconds. It does this repeatedly and it’s quite frustrating. No sooner than you open it, it closes back out totally on its own. I have to use the website to get anywhere because I can never get the app to remain open long enough to select or do anything within it. Just wanted to bring this issue to someone’s attention in the hopes that hopefully it can be fixed and/or resolved. Thank you very much and have a blessed day. God bless

Don't bother!!. All I wanted was a SIMPLE TOOL to help me understand the Bible from the perspective of the Jews of the Old Testament and The Greeks from the New Testament, NOTHING else. Just from my perspective this app is dine from a certain denomination and what I call Saducee's perspective not the Holy Spirit's perspective. And what really upset me in just trying to set this app up is their Manmade Marketing!! The potential customer is bombarded by buying more and more to so call "better understand "the scriptures, bah humbug! Very disappointed in this bogged down app that you have to be a genius to understand how to use it! That is NOT God's Way, that is Man's Way!! And because of that I am deleting this app .

Good app but too small font size. I am enjoying what I can read on this app. Unfortunately I cannot read the Bible because the fonts are very small and I have not found a setting to make them bigger. I had to revert to the browser version which I can resize and read. Hope to see a setting update in the future. 🙏🏼

Confused. Wait. What? OK, so today I was reading Psalm 5:3 and pondering the idea that king David offered sacrifices each morning and what that means for me. So I go online and find a couple of articles. One titled, “Sacrifice, in the New Testament, 1”. The browser indicates I can open this app to view it. When I tap the link, the app opens to the homepage, but not to the article. Then, the Search function is limited to searching for Scripture passages but not articles. So how can I access all the other content this app supposedly has? There seems to be lots of articles and commentaries in the app, but if they’re not searchable, they’re useless. Honestly, I’m not going to sit and read random commentaries. My study time is more focused. I use the You Version Bible app by LifeChurchTV which includes numerous translations free of charge. So I don’t need another Bible on my phone. I need study tools. This app is labeled, “Bible Study Tools”. Where are they? Why are they hard to find? Why is it not coded properly to interface with a web browser to link directly to the article or tool I’m seeking? In short, I’m confused about what this app does and how I can make it work. What’s the point of this? I’m new to the app and pretty ignorant of how to use all of it. It doesn’t seem self-explanatory, intuitive, simple to me. Perhaps an update with a tutorial or Help files menu is needed.

Ads move this from a useful tool to a big NO. I understand ads to support a free app, that's not a problem. But those ads need to be APPROPRIATE. Problem #1: Opened the app one time to study God's word and was presented by a woman in a bikini. Really? Sure glad I wasn’t opening it at church to use, only to have someone else see that! Problem #2: LOUD ads! Again, someone might open this at church (yes, hopefully they’ve turned down their phone). Super inappropriate ads ruin what could be a useful app. Surely there is a way to vet the ads that are allowed, hopefully with quiet, wholesome ads that better target the expected audience. I’ve been working through a reading plan using this app. Regrettably, I plan to uninstall it once I complete that plan.

App update. I preferred the website over this app.. if you want to highlight it takes you to a page like you want to report it for an error.. and also when flipping from chapter to book is not user friendly and that definitely needs works.. I can do because I’ll mess with something until I figure it out but it shouldn’t take an average person that long or anyone to have to find something and then end up on a blank screen and then end up going back out to the beginning .. INSANE

Honestly Speaking. Extreme amount of pop-ups, ads and unsolicited emails that can only be related to this app. Now receiving ads and “tools” on a private email that has never been listed nor connected to this app other than through my name and private information. Receiving “ideas” and reminder “tools” that were unsolicited. Seemed like a good app and program and I was warned about the excessive ads and so on. I didn’t sign up to have my personal information tracked, sold or targeted. If you want to provide a service do so and make irrelevant pop-ups, ads and selling personal information a thing of the past. It is not in any way conducive to delve into a study or meditation on a verse and be inundated with ads and pop-ups. Seems akin to taking a break during worship to see an ad on the most recent acne medication. Know your audience!

Loving my time in the Word. This app has helped me to keep up with my daily reading of my Bible. Have not been able to highlight verses that stand out to me on my phone, but can go back in my laptop and highlight. I have recommended this app based on the ease of reading, and the ability to open the app where I left off.

What have you done?. Have used this app for a long time and loved it. Then....one day I opened it and only had a blank page. This lasted for several days. I deleted it and reinstalled. Still blank page. Finally, today the home page came up but I could not sign in. I tried a number of times, even changed my password. Still could not sign in. So I deleted and reinstalled again. This time, the app that opened was totally different from the one I knew and liked so much. So I deleted it again and am trying to find something else I like.

Love but disappointed. Love the concept of the app and all of the tools it possesses but very disappointed in some of the kinks and bugs. There's a delay in switching between books of the Bible where I have to actually close the app and reopen before it goes to the book I want. The biggest issue I have is when registering. I try to register with my Facebook page and it tells me to try again. If I try again or select close page I get a new error page. Help! I really want to use this tool with my studies but I'm hitting road blocks.

Sometimes frustrating. The first issue I had with this app was with the Bible study. I have KJV bible version selected, but the version that it gives me for my daily bible study is different and I can’t change it. The second issue popped up two days ago. When I tap the app a screen pops up wanting me to subscribe to a daily bible verse. It won’t let me tap “not now” or “subscribe”. It just freezes so now I can’t use the app anymore.

Needs a major redesign. There are so many faults, detailing them all is not possible. The main problems are: 1 - Reading plan does not default to the selected default version. The Bible tab displays the preferred version for me but not the scheduled daily reading. 2 - Missed days. Cannot be made up and the schedule slides meaning the target finish day is changed. If I miss a day’s reading I want to be able to make it up. 3 - Just as with the desktop site, TOO MANY INTRUSIVE advertisements.

It is confusing. The functionality is not good. It does not auto fit to your phone window which makes it difficult to close. It has too many adds and while it has some functionality of youversion it is weak at best in comparison. Missing start date selections on reading plan. It automatically forces the date you select it on not allowing you to prepare for the future. Font size is small and difficult to increase.

Sadly, it has changed. Having been my online go-to Bible for years, they are now requiring paid membership. Unless I sign-up for $4.99/mo (not outrageous admittedly) by June 30, I’ll lose all my highlights, bookmarks that I’ve marked over the years. So now researching other options including pay subscriptions to determine which is best. Sorry to see it change.

I did it!. This app makes it easier to read the Bible when you are on the go. You can read the Bible in the waiting room or wherever you are. You can challenge yourself to read the Bible in 90 days or read through Psalm and a Proverbs. What I really like is that it keeps track of the days you read the Bible. It keeps you accountable. You can go on there and see that you skipped a day. If you like having a Bible in your hands, you can also just follow the plan to read your own Bible. I’m finding that ever since using this app, I have finally made reading the Bible a daily habit. If I see a verse that sticks out to me, I can get out of the app to look up the verse on google. Then I take a screenshot and jump right back in where I left off.

Reading Plan Crashes. Up until the end of 2017, I was happy with the app; especially the reading plans. I wanted to start the New Year with re-reading the Bible in its entirety using the Chronological Reading Plan. Unfortunately, I’m not able to do this because when I select the Reading Plan, it crashes and kicks me out of the app. I’ve rebooted my iPad several times as well as uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times. Nothing works. I would appreciate hearing from the app developer or anyone else who has had this problem for a solution. Thanks.

Needs some work. This is a great app but needs some work. When reading on the iPhone X it is full screen edge to edge but the app controls mix in with the iPhone X controls which prevents app navigation and forces you to close and reopen the app. I would also like to see Video integration and maybe a community including local to your area. Men and women’s devotionals would be great as well. Offer a small price version to remove ads

Could Improve This App. 1) There’s some confusing labeling to the New Revised Standard Version in the collection of available bibles. 2) Also, the reason I’m giving only two stars is mainly because the application has technical bugs loading reading plans and simultaneously having two reading plans stored at the correct timing and date which I read it. 3) The entire app doesn’t synchronize with the time zone where my mobile devices are set to, and messes up with reading plan registration. 4) There’s a few misleading advertisements that I can guess funds the app. However, does business have anything to do with Bible Studies? 5) At irregular intervals, the connections on this app’s Internet links breaks down. It’s not the WiFi or cellular network providers’ failure, but the app’s back-end design need to be fixed. Finally, I might reconsider this rating if the mentioned problems are solved within adequate response to review. Let’s say, within a month since I post this. If not, take the two stars and I’m going on to use Bible Gateway app or another instead.

Only to NOT sin and if you do, repent to Jesus❤️ Our God sacrificed his own son (a part of himself) for us to show his love. He stopped Abraham from sacrificing his own son. This is extremely symbolic and it is this way to show his great love for us. ❤️

It doesn’t work!. If I could give it less than one star I would. The ap doesn’t work at all. There is a breakdown in the app that disconnects the link before one can even complete logging in, therefore unable to use the app at all. I’ve deleted and downloaded the app several times and the same thing happens every time. My WiFi signal is good and the app says I can use it on my devise but it just doesn’t work.

More about sales. If there weren’t so many advertisements to buy stuff this would be a very good app. They are like most other companies. You click that you want one thing when you get ready to pay for it it takes you to another WAIT area, so you can add to your previous purchase. I hate that. If I want something I will search for it, I don’t like it being thrown in my face. I would also be nice if the “no thank you” was at the top and not the bottom of the advertisement.

Have yet to actually be able to use. I love y’all’s website however I can’t use the app it keeps shutting down for some reason every time I open it within 30 seconds it shuts down. I have powered my phone off and back on trying to fix this and it hasn’t helped so I’m thinking it’s a glitch until it’s fixed I’ll continue to use the webpage. Thanks so much for y’all’s time an effort in helping to spread the gospel and help in understand I love being able to read the different versions of a scripture without having to switch bibles its all just right there at your fingertips.

App frozen again. Please help!. After using the app's reading plan for 30+ days, I have had difficulties with the app freezing on the page that comes up immediately after opening the app. This is the page "get your topical bible study in your inbox". The "not now" button does not respond and I cannot get to the home page. I've deleted and reinstalled the app, which worked exactly one day. Now it's frozen again, even after deleting and reinstalling again. Any suggestions? I would really like to get back to my reading plan!

Awful app. Do not use this. The bugs are insane. The ads are endless. You can’t save your reading plans after you’ve already saved another. I used this to read through the NT once and there is no way to reset progress so you can read again. Half the time you click the app your either stuck on an ad or it seems frozen and you can’t click what you want. The only good thing is that the verses are spread out and it looks clean when reading. Other than that it’s just a frustrating experience when trying to study. Needs devs to fix bugs.

App crashed and could no longer access reading plan. I love this app and used it every day. I was less than 10 days away from finishing the Bible when the it crashed and I could no longer access my reading plans. As other suggested I uninstall and reinstall the app but did not have any success. I finally got it to work after going to the App Store and under reviews selecting support. I had to login and select a reading plan through this process. Reading plans are now available through the app.

Terrible app but good website. I found the website I love the different Bible reading plans that have. I was so excited to see there is an app to help track and not need to have the website window on my phone open. Sadly, the app downloads but once open and I click login, the app crashes. I have tried ever iteration of internet signal strength and type to get it to work and all it does is crash.

App Development Team NEVER Responded to Bug. I’ve had this app for many years. In the past two to three years, it seems that the app stopped being updated. My Bible version choice was never saved and neither was my Bible Reading Plan. Extremely frustrating to use, and what’s even worse, even after contacting the app developers, which, finding the contact information was like finding a needle in a haystack they NEVER responded to my bug. Deleted this app to find one that actually works.

So disappointed. I would give zero stars if I could. I was really looking forward to using this app. I have wanted to read through the Bible in a year for a few years and finally felt it was something I could commit to in this new year. Unfortunately, I will not be using this app for anything. EVERYTIME I open it IT CRASHES! EVERY SINGLE TIME! I am a patient and understanding person but when trying to use an app it should not crash every time it is open. Sadly, I will be deleting and looking elsewhere to accomplish my goal.

This App is useless. Do not download. Half of the sections don’t work and get error messages. I also paid for Plus but I still get tons of ads. Just use your browser instead. Get ready, the ads are overwhelming. The whole idea is to get you to pay for the Plus version which is nice but just not worth it. I really do wish the app worked and the free version online wasn’t so busy with ads because it’s hard to concentrate while studying. The creators of the app should pay attention to these reviews and put a little effort in to remedying the problems. Instead of giving the exact same developer response to everyone, there is NO UPDATE and there hasn’t been one for years. The same bugs and error messages still exist.

Reading plans. I have thoroughly enjoyed the Thematic daily reading plan! It’s very well put together and I recommend it to whomever will listen. I also have appreciated how the app keeps track of my progress. WHAT I DO NOT LIKE IS THAT ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS THE READING PLANS HAVE NOT BEEN ACCESSIBLE FROM THE MOBILE APP. Once it came back after a week or so, but since then I have to reload the app and then manually update it to my current day. It works for a while and then it will happen again. Most recently the I reinstalled the app agin, updated the app to say 295 (that took a little time) and the next day it was all gone again. I PERSEVERE BECAUSE THE THEMATIC PLAN IS SO GOOD.

Good plans: frustrating app navigation. Plan I’m using is great but app itself freezes a lot and will not allow you to navigate it at all. To go to anything different I have to completely close the app down and reopen to try to navigate back or to something else.

Age given is age 4+Too bad. I liked it until I tried it. All I saw were many options for cheat sheets and shortcuts I gave up trying to find a Bible when I got an unrelated table of quotes. So I put into the search line the word bible. The magnifier stood silent as search returned nothing. Like others I found the website poorly constructed. The university should be ashamed to endorse this for any students. I found it cumbersome, loaded with unwanted trivia, and basically useless for seasoned Bible readers to use for study. Too bad.

Wonderful Tool to Learn the Bible. We all carry our phones and keep them charged religiously; however, few carry their Bible in the same way. This app is a great gift that allows us God’s Word to be available at our fingertips. I love being able to read the New Testament in chronological order. It helps me understand more easily what’s going on and “who’s who” as I read. The lesson plans help you stay on track with reminders etc. I’m not as picky about some of the things people have complained about. It’s not glitchy and it’s free. I don’t think it gets better than that.

Always technical problems. I have had technical difficulties with this app. I’ll start a reading plan and come back the next day and it won’t even show that I’ve started one. Lately, I can’t even see any plans, at all. Also, when the plans were showing, I would have to click on the one above it (another plan) to get the one that I was doing, to open. This is too frustrating for me to stay with, so I will move in to another app.

Enjoying this App!. I have finally found an application that helps me grow stronger in the Word of the Lord. It allows you to choose which translation you prefer, as well as red lettering. It offers Biblical Study Plans where you read the Bible in a year and you get to choose which Plan best suits your needs. It also has plans such as Wisdom Biblical Plans that can be completed in as little as 60-90 days. The Reading of the Bible is all laid out before you on your IPhone, IPad, Computer, etc. I went and purchased a few notebooks and took notes to reference my material as I learn. Did I mention it also has a Verse of the Day? This App has A Lot Good learning tools to help you in your walk with Jesus Christ. I have recently downloaded this App about a few weeks ago and I not only love it, but I’ve learned so much! Thank You for Your Time and Effort Allowing This Incredible App to move Further...

Unwanted Paid Subscription. My free subscription was changed to a paid subscription without my opt-in, and then an email was sent asking me to “check that my payment method is still valid” since the subscription “failed to renew.” This request for credit card info is something I would expect from an organization trying to trick people into paying for something they assume they or a family member already decided to pay for. It is not what I would expect from Salem Media.

Their hearts may be in the right place but their IT is MIA. Nothing inside the app is usable. You can’t open up any of the headers, bring up any of the content, or click on any links because none of them works. Just basically wallpaper with the beginning of some potentially pretty sentences. But you’ll never know what the rest of the message says because nothing happens if you click on it. The only area that responds is the menu. But that’s as satisfying as going to a restaurant and not being able to order; You’re just stuck, flipping through the menu. Good luck to the developers, hope you get it all worked out because we all know how much more God we all need! And “Now” can’t come soon enough. Take care!

Audio Bible hard to find. This is the most frustrating app! Trying to find the audio bible is nearly impossible. I have to keep it open on my phone to get back to it. When it disappears it takes hours to find it again. The other aggravating thing is that it doesn’t keep track of where the reading left off. Another reason I have to keep it open. If I didn’t like the voice of the narrator so much, I would search for something else. My advice: don’t get started on this app.

Disappointed. I have tried for years to be consistent in reading the Bible through. Finally, this app provided the support and reminders that allowed me to read it through two years in a row! Then all of the sudden, “I don’t have a reading plan.” I tried to contact support with no response, I get emails telling me the next section of verses but the link to keep reading sends me to the app that tells me I don’t have a reading plan. Now I am back to weeks behind my schedule. Hopefully I can get back on track manually. I am not sure what happened.

Unable to log in/Unable to do ANYTHING on this app.. In order to participate in having a reading plan I must log in. I am unable to log in; when I click on log in, the next page is blank, except the word "done" at the upper right corner. If this could be fixed, I would give the app a four or five. January 26, 2018 I can now log in, but nothing else works. I cannot access any of the Bible reading plans. What’s wrong over there? I am completely done with Bible Study Tools. It’s obvious no real people exist over there, otherwise these reviews would be read and commented on. Your sight needs to come alive; it is DEAD. You get NO stars. You get this only because this wouldn’t be sent otherwise. I am deleting you. After writing this, I tried the support place, designated by the question mark. There seems to be a disconnect between the icon on my screen and the support place in the app store.

Needs work. This app started out okay for me but then it kept freezing or jumping pages. This isn’t my phone, all other apps seem fine. Two days ago the ad that you get when you open became a button that wants me to subscribe for daily inspiration. I don’t want to be added to their list and it will not select the “not now” button. So I plan to delete the app as closing it and reopening it makes no difference. If I can’t access the app without subscribing than I am not interested.

Very bad. It's twice now it has crash on me after 30 day reading plan it stops working not good pls fix it

App Not Working. My app isn't working. When I try and read a Bible passage for the day, it keeps coming up with,"The reading plan passage text is not available..." Please fix this, as I use it every day.

No highlights. In this new app there are no highlights appearing. All highlights from my previous login, have been highlighted.

Great study app!!!. I use this app everyday in my reading. It is an easy way to get more in depth look at the bible. Commentaries are great and simple to use. Only downfall is the adds. I wish i could pay to remove them.

New changes horrible!!!. I hate the new changes! Before it was simple and easy to navigate, with a random surprise scripture daily. I am really disappointed! 😢

Good variety of scripture options. I have enjoyed the versatility of this app. The number of versions available and the reading plans. I would recommend this app

What is going on. I have loved using this app to supplement my bible reading , something has happened recently and it will no longer open in bible plans, and shuts down the app when I try. I hope this will be remedied soon as I would give this 4-5 stars at normal function.

Won’t open reading plans. Won’t open reading plan - says ERROR Bad network response. Probably the JSON URL is unreachable.

Bugs cause it to crash. Enjoyed using this app for the first couple of days. But app now crashes and shuts down when going to open plans, and also had some trouble navigating books/chapters in normal reading mode. Great potential, but unfortunately unusable in current form

Best Bible app ever!. So easy to navigate, I've downloaded other Bible apps and found this one the most user friendly. Definitely worth downloading.

Needs Improvement. The previous version was a lot better than the latest one. Here there are no dates to track your progress. Also, there is no visual identification of chapters other than the verse numbers! So it's difficult to tell when one chapter ends and a new one begins. Not very user friendly. Really hoping changes are implemented in the next version. Would also be good to have a 6 month reading plan included.

App keeps crashing. I can’t even use the app. Every time I start it - it crashes. Please fix this

Great Resource. Overall an excellent resource that does what it says. I've had it for a few months now and it works well. I particularly like the multiple translations it offers such as the KJV and The Message Bible which is amazing for a free app! Some areas need improving such as the highlighting function and notes function. Currently all highlighted verses are seen under the "highlighted" tab in book order. The down side of this is that if you highlight 6 verses for a message you'll have to look for it again amongst hundreds of others that you've highlighted previously. A more handy feature would be to clump the highlighted verses together under a sermon title in "Notes". The previous version allowed you to copy and paste verses, this version does not. There's a glitch in this version when highlighting, it resets to verse 1 regardless of what verse you highlight. These improvements would get a 5 star rating from me.

Great content, bad tech!. Love the content and am currently addicted to the thematic reading plan. Love that I can click off “completed passage” for each day that I complete the readings in the plan. However, ever since the notification to sign up for the topical daily bible study popped up... I have not been able to click “subscribe” or choose not to subscribe and I cannot open the app past that point. It’s frozen. I got it to work on my iPad but it won’t work on my iPhone. Really disappointing! Please fix this soon!!

Terrible app. This app displays network connection issues a lot of the times and then It will not work at all. Sometimes it even displays issues with the Bible version not being supported. My other issue is that this site continues to allow all kinds of pop ups to display. There are a full screen pop up everyday you open the app that allows you to close it, very annoying. Once you download whatever "book" they are displaying for the day it keeps popping up everyday after that. Then comes the spam once you provide your email address, good luck unsubscribing to the spam sites. At the bottom of the screen is a constant advert screen that you are unable to disable. I have already emailed the support desk about ongoing issues with this app and have never received a reply back from them. There are better and more structured apps out there that support the various books and readings that can be chosen from. KEEP AWAY HUGE SPAM WARNING WITH THIS APP.

Bible study tool. Loved it before updating it but now it won't work boohoo

Bible study tools. I download bible study tools , and try to and try to tap bible to study or read some verses , but it always become black or blank and return to the icon ... I don't know what's going on ... maybe it's time to delete it .

Freezes and can’t use after update. In concept this is a great idea...the app is glitchy, I try to open it and it freezes. This recent update I can’t get past the screen that is asking me to sign up email Devos. can’t use app! :(

Giving up on this app. I am a user of Bible Study Tools Online which generally is a pretty good web site, but this app is pretty bad and needed updates are not happening: 1) On my iPad when the app first starts, it just spins - kill and restart. On apps second attempt, it gets to Read Bible, but no books or chapters are shown - kill and restart. On apps third attempt, books and chapters finally show up. 2) On my iPhone, search by chapter and verse, e.g. Romans 5:3-4 shows no results. Really? 3) On my iPhone, no easy way to select multiple verses to share. If I click on a passage it immediately pops up menu options to share only that one verse. Copy is not an option. I’m a Christian and I understand grace esp. for free apps, but I’m also a software developer. My suggestion - count the cost. If you can’t support the app, don’t push it out. Nothing more frustrating than an app that doesn’t work well. Many better alternatives out there.

Not user friendly. Not easy to use when you want Strong's number and do in depth studying. Nice to have different versions available though.

Bible plan. Love the app, am using the thematic bible reading plan which I'm really enjoying. Would love it if the app would just open to that spot rather than have to re-find it every morning. Small thing!

Can’t use. On a 12 pro max and the app crashes when I try to login into my plus account

Disappointed. The app won't let me sign up therefore I am unable to use the tools that are offered..... Could be a great app if they fix that.

No updates in 5 years. App is unusable crashes upon opening. Assuming it’s because it is not configured to newer iOS because it hasn’t been updated since 2017. Why advertise an app you don’t update?

Ray. Sorry app master, you should have at least tried this to see if it works. The icon looks pretty nice on my screen but that's all it does. The app will not open.

Good App but a few things don't work. My highlights disappear after I scroll through verses on my screen as well as my notes don't save. And I can't scroll down on my settings screen.

Please improve!!!. As a Pastor I love this app. I use this in conjunction with the website every week. One location to add notes, highlight, read, and study is such a relief. The app has been very quirky lately. Searches don’t populate results regularly, advancing to commentary from a text doesn’t show anything most of the time. Please update and improve the functionality of this app.

Technical issues needs to be fixed. I love all the Bible reading plans this app has. However, the technical issues are beyond tolerable. The app most of the time won’t load properly. The app gets shut down randomly very often. Also, I wish that this app had an audio version of the Bible readings.

Unusable. I just downloaded this app, and am immediately removing it from my device. I open the app, I get about 10 seconds to begin searching something and it immediately closes the app on me. I tried repeatedly with the same result. I can’t even use it. Disappointing…. I was looking forward to seeing what it had to offer.

Not worth it!!. I haven’t been able to used this app yet, online you can find some good information and really good articles to read but once you try to downloads the app and continue the app doesn’t let you and constantly kicks you out. And you are unable to do anything else

Developer needs to update the app. This app used to be my go-to app for Bible study due to how easy it was to switch to various Bible translations however now it has so many bugs from not updating the app in years. It would be nice if they would keep it current so I could use the app again because it once was an excellent app.

Still has bugs. I just installed and subscribed. After figuring out how to select plan I could not get the back button to work. The screen was not necessarily frozen because I could highlight and select items on screen just couldn’t go back. Can’t really rate on content since I can’t get to any of it.

Great App. I love this and the features connected to it. Who can complain about free? Be blessed and again, awesome app. Pray for our leaders especially the President that God gives him the wisdom to make right decisions and surround him with the people of God.

Just sad 😢. I’m so sorry I just couldn’t use this app. The advertisement is overlapping the control panel and it seems more about making money than giving information. For me it is truly a disservice to the purpose it should be intended. I pray that the focus is about the ‘good news’ of Jesus Christ. Very sad. I was so excited to use it to.

Stuck. Since I got this app, I’ve had 2 updates. After the first update, I was given an “option” to get topical study information in my inbox. I can’t decline; I can’t subscribe - I’m just stuck. I was going through the Bible in a year chronologically - that’s been shot to heck! Wish this issue would get fixed... Thank you for the response. Unfortunately, my app is up to date and I’m having this trouble still. 😞

FIX THIS APP. I love that my reading plan does not 'make' you read a certain portion on a certain calendar day but gives you percent read and date when you will be finished. I don't like being limited to one version, and don't like that some days it does not load at all. Please make it the great app it should be!

App not working since last update !. I used to love this Bible Study Tools app but since last update app doesn’t load anything & all my reading plans, highlights etc. has disappeared ! Home Screen doesn’t change no matter what you select ! Had to give it a star because there’s no option for zero stars !

Bible study app. This Bible study app has been a great tool for me in all types of study. I love the commentaries I love the reviews I love the audible Bible. I wish the commentaries were audible or I can listen to the commentaries while I drive this is a great tool to have thank you.

Problems after update. My app won’t launch after the recent update. It’s stuck on the prompt to submit your email to get a Bible Study sent to our inbox. It won’t let me ignore OR submit. I love the app and would love to use it again. I’ve deleted and reinstalled and even restarted my phone. Nothing works. Help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Needs Update. I’ve used this app for a few years. Now ever since Plus became a thing; I can’t use it anymore because of url errors every time I try to use it. I prefer using this app rather than home screening the website and I seriously hope they fix this because of how much I love this app.

I was really excited to use this app.... I was so excited to use this app and all that it offered, I payed the $50. Imagine my disappointment when nothing worked and there is a barrage of ads. I have request a refund, hopefully I will get that today. I really hope they can fix the bugs, because this app has a lot of potential.

So many bugs. The daily verse shows the same verse for weeks at a time and takes you to a random verse if you click it. Half of the tabs in the app don’t do anything, I need to constantly restart the app and view another ad if I want to navigate. Now I’m stuck with this joke of an app because I’m halfway through their bible in a year. Will be done with it then, can’t wait!

Not A Good Start. Just signed up and already my email and password cannot be found. But, received email from you about my signing up. Navigation of the site is horrible. It is more about advertising than anything else. I get you need to pay for this but other apps manage to give a reasonable offering of service without this level of annoyance.

Scam???. I got this app to do a Bible reading plan on so I can get to know the Lord better through scripture. When I go the app, I was disappointed because none of the pages would load, and it kept saying “error”. It also had lots of annoying ads in every corner. What am I supposed to do if I can’t use the app? - please fix

What Happened?. This app was the best Bible study out there. On the last few weeks something changed on the app and online. You cant access the Bible plans and keep track of your progress. That is gone. When you try to pull up reading plans in the app you get error messages. So, what happened? Please restore the app to the great app it was just a few months ago. Thank you.

I wish I could give it 5-Stars. The app itself has good intentions and could be great, but it’s just not quite there. I’m doing a plan to read the whole bible in a year, but because I can’t even log into my google account on the app, i’m stuck using the browser which i don’t like using. Fix this soon please!

Disappointed. Disappointed. My reading plan was deleted twice and I was unable to retrieve it. Why does it show a previous and current reading plan if the reading plan won’t display under either heading.

The app crashes within 15 seconds. I downloaded the app because I prefer apps over a website. However, in this occassion the app proves to be extremely inferior, since it is not usable on my Apple iPad Pro running the latest ipadOS. It starts just fine and as long as you are navagating throug the available links it remains active. However, once you stop to review displayed content, the app just closes.

Can’t use the App. I have tried to use the app several times after downloading it. It will open, stay open for a few seconds, and then automatically close. I’ve tried uninstalling and and re-installing it thinking maybe there was an error when downloading it, but nope, same thing happens. Really disappointed but I was looking forward to using the app. :(

Can’t access app. With a new update a couple months ago, and even with this new update, I am not able to access the app due to the pop-up window that says to subscribe. When this window pops up I am not able to click any of the buttons or even subscribe. It’s been this way for more than a month now and I haven’t been able to use the app, which is a bummer!

Highlight and Notes don't work. I just recently downloaded it, I highlighted something and when I tried to go back and look at my highlights there was nothing there. I tried it again for about 4 times, still doesn't work. Please fix it I really like the app, I just wanna be able to actually highlight and write my notes.

Not Well Thought Out. I really just want a verse of the day to pop up, something to spend two to five minutes thinking about. This company has a verse of the day on its web site snd a grader for it on this app, but you don’t get that. The button is not functional. Do I deleted the app

Thank You For This App. Hi I really like this app, it has specific topics that anyone can use based on their life situation and apply the biblical verse to their life. I was seeking a tool such as this, so I am appreciative. I really wish there was a share button so I can share the app with friends and family, that’s why I gave it 4 stars.

Very buggy. I used the website all the time when working on my devotional or preparing an AWANAS lesson, but this app is virtually unusable. The tabs along the bottom overlap the main page to it is not easy to switch between them. Also when I do switch over to the library to access a commentary, nothing loads for me to use.

Sends same verse daily. I was looking for alternatives for Bible study and tried this app. I signed up for the daily verse, and now I get the same verse EVERY day. Finding material on the app was hard, using it became frustrating. I'm opting out of all notifications. I realize the developers need to make a living, but the pop ups are an affront to the purpose of the app. Really?

Just doesn’t work. I’ve now downloaded this app twice and deleted it twice. I’m doing a reading plan through the website and decided it would be easier to keep stored on the app. It won’t let me “complete” the reading. Also, it’s not a very user friendly app overall. Lots of bugs.

some fixes needed. I love the idea of the app & what I can do with it such as following the plans they have, but I can’t highlight, or add notes... that’s very important to do when you’re trying to read the Bible thoroughly ! I hope these issues can be fixed because I would love to keep using it !!!

Does not load reading plans. This app does not store my reading plan. “No current reading plans” is the message I get 9/10 times. I am constantly starting over and having to find my place by re-selecting the plans I want to read through.

I’m deleting. I don’t want to see Joe Biden ads.. I had been using this app for some time. This morning, I opened it up to read the Bible. The first thing that popped up was an ad for Joe Biden. There are too many good apps for Bible study for me to keep one whose company culture is so far out of step with my beliefs. In addition, the back button doesn’t work, so you have to close the app to use any resources when reading. Try Bible Gateway instead of this one.

Make it simple please. I like how I am notified daily with a verse! When I click for more scripture or a deeper message ... all this stuff shows up and distracts my thought process. What’s that about? I was hoping for a deeper bible study .... not confusion. Could you please make it simple? I am willing to be patient for a while! Frequent Crashing. I like this apps various reading plans. Lately however, the app shuts down when trying to load all the plans. Definitely needs some bug fixes & improvements.

Crash. I used this program for 3years for yearly chronological reading, never had a problem till this year. It would not let me sign on to my original program, it kept kicking me out, so I had to activate a new address and password.. great disappointment since I was so used to the other way of doing it. Could not find an email or phone number for assistance. Not happy.

App not working. Nothing is working correctly. Can’t click on anything on the home page. Was good app when it worked. Wondering if the app has not been updated for the newer Verison of IOS. Either way it not working now. So I have to find a another app to take its place. Sorry. Let me know when you have it fixed.

Access to many versions. The scores of versions available on this app make it well worth getting. I just wish there were a way to zoom the print. It’s in a small font and I am having a hard time reading it without stressing out my eyes.

So sad my app did not work. This app is really good in my galaxy tablet, I installed it in my iPhone and it did not work. After I opened it all that it said was “searching” never moved from there, tried opening everything that the app offered but nothing worked. Maybe it wasn’t made for iPhones could be wrong but it didn’t work for me.

Update needed. I originally was interested in this app after receiving some emails and expanding on them. Once I downloaded the app, every single time I opened it, I would close less than 2minutes. I rebooted my phone thinking maybe my ph needed to be powered down. Bottom line, this app needs a lot of tuning up. I had high hopes, but In The end I have to delete it.

Abandoned app. I looked and the last time this app was updated was by Apple to appear on the watch??? What good does that do if the app itself doesn’t operate at all. No plans, wouldn’t load a single verse in the Bible, I don’t see where I can access the plus option which is the main reason I got it. Very disappointed. The actual website is great but this app is dead.

Much less than hoped. The app will not open bible. It will show the book you are going to but will not open chapters. I have a paid subscription, yet ads still sit in the screen. I see that I have messages but cannot find them. Simply put the app does not work. Will cancel subscription.

Keeps me on track. I have always wanted to read through the entire Bible. This is the first tool that is working for me. Anyone that has those same aspirations should try this app.

Useful, but.... I primarily use the app for the reading plan to keep track of my progress. I wish there was an ad-free version that was available for $2.99-$3.99 similar to other apps. The ads on here for clothing that looks like slabs of red meat, those for Harry Potter books, and online accounting degrees is odd and out of place considering what this app is for.

App crashes. I’m currently read a plan through my browser which is not the most convenient. I’ve downloaded this app twice but I cannot even put my email in before it crashes and I’m kicked out. I really love the reading plan so far would just like the app to work for easier reading. Thanks.

Quit working. I’ve used this app for almost 10 years and enjoyed the reading plans - especially reading through the NT chronologically in 90 days. Yesterday it completely quit working, showing no plans or anything other than the home page. I’m sad! I deleted and re-downloaded but it’s still not working. Again, this really makes me sad.

App no longer works. I loved this app until it stopped working 68% through my reading plan. It’s hung on a screen that asks if I want to subscribe to The Topical Bible in my inbox every morning. Can’t delete the app and reinstall as it says I’ll lose all my data. App support never responded to my inquiry either. Cant recommend until they fix this issue.

Only a blank page. I cannot open the commentaries while reading in a chapter. Only a blank page comes up. Being able to click on a commentary is one of my favorite features of this app and I haven't been able to use it for many months. I have updated and it still doesn't work....

Love this app but would like to adjust the type size!. The type is so small in the Bible Plan. I can’t find a setting to make it larger. Other than that I love all the content and having study tools available in the same place is handy.
