A great game. This is a very well thought of game with just a couple glitches that I haven't seen yet. The only problem I have is my game has no noise at all so maybe it needs an update? I don't know. It could just be my iPhone.

Come back and update it. I used to play this game everyday and it was my favorite app. It was a great idea for a game. You gotta bring it back or at the very least make a plunderland 2! Thanks for making an awesome game.

Developer didn't try the touch controls on iPad. If you use the iPad for more than 30 seconds, the touch controls hurt your wrist.

Bad can't even see the screen to choose its all white. When I go into the game and it play it is all white and if I click my screen like everywhere I get there finally and that screen is also white can you please fix this in the game thanx

You need to update. I can’t play it because it needs updating to iOS 11 but it’s a very fun and addicting great game I need an update very soon so I can play this great game and also I’d love a Plunderland 2 it just needs to be updated so any one can play please update

Splendid. Intuitive controls. Great gameplay. One thing, an update would be nice. The game and the game makers have so much potential, and it would also be nice to explore the abduction mode in the game as well. I hope to see more!

Really fun. Can't get rid of crabs, the way you aim and fire is difficult for me. Sometimes it doesn't register and sometimes it swings around like crazy so it's not efficient, which means difficult enemies are hard to beat and probably gets you more play time.

Fun :-). Such a simple and enjoyable game :) had it on my phones for several years. One of the first apps I download every time I upgrade to a new phone lol.

Needs to be updated.. Abduction needs to be added. More items need to be added. More levels need to be added.

GameClub?. I’ve been searching. So long. For this game. I got it when I was a kid and it was the the first app on my iPod touch. Now 12 years later I found out that this gameclub owns the rights? Now I have to pay for other games. To just play this one? I’m kinda sadden to see that. Thanks for ruining a memory. I was so happy to find this but a slap of pay a subscription. Yeah. Lol okay. Am I giving my money to a unicorn? Or the leprechaun?

If I keep sharing it’ll sound like a cheesy Facebook post about how beautifully cliche life is & how profound this work can be ... regardless it feels like forever ago she always asks me from time to time to dig up an old app from the hard drive that molded our lives & misses and if i remember ...blablabla nevertheless she shared this when I visited her the other day It’s completely awesomely excellent of you evolving developed programmers to salvage our patronage like youse guys have - it was like being with my little girl as a little girl again ! It crashes!. I remember this game so well as a child and was so excited to see it was still around! However for some reason now it crashes and a lot too! It’s basically unplayable! Please fix this!

ARR. Wish you could fix... The big crab and small crab because every time I want to pass the big crabs it keeps on pushing me hard to pass then the small crabs keep on bitting my pirates and brake boat

Glitchy, but fun. The fire mechanism is really annoying, you shouldn't have to touch the boat to fire. Second of all, there are a lot of glitches, most notable is the one when you pause the game, come back and then find that your ships guns are in the wrong place and that you can't fire anymore. Otherwise, great game, extremely fun.

Popyl. Love it want a plunder land 2 with a gore setting and more levels more upgrades and in gore setting on story mode u should be able to lose arms and legs and rip anything apart with the spirits and more boats and more things for the front of your ship but this game is perfect for any age

Crashes every time I get to level 1-2. I love the game and there’s a lot of nostalgia here, but I’m awfully frustrated that I can’t play past the second level. I’ve restarted. I’ve deleted and re downloaded. Frustrated there is no option to report bugs in app.

Fix your game. It's really fun, but it's WAY too glitchy. Srsly. I can't even access the story without having to mess around with it! Nothing shows up so I don't know what I'm touching. Either give me my money back or fix your game ( I'm on iPad btw )

Was fun until iOS update. Was fun on my iPad mini until I can no longer push the play button on the bottom right corner. All I get to do now is go into settings. Please fix this issue

I remember this game. This game was pretty fun back then when I still used an iPod, but guess what happened. Game club. Game club just buys games and puts subscriptions on them. So yeah. The game is good don’t get me wrong but because game club owns it now, I’m gonna give it a 1 star.

Nice game. Love the game and fun, but there are bugs in some level. Level about 4 or 5 the canon cannot shoot and I can't reach the level. Please fix this bug.

Easy to complete. This game is kinda fun and I used to play when I was younger. But the game has barely any more upgrades and never updates. The game would be more fun if it had more ships and upgrades

Launch Problem. This game is totally awesome. There is one thing though, whenever I try to open the game, the screen turns black for a spilt second then reverts to the home screen after the latest update with the new icon. Please try and fix the problem ASAP as really enjoy Plunderland. I have an iPad 2 if that helps. Thanks - dedicated Plunderer.

Great Game!. An extremely fun game, but more upgrades and ships should be offered and more levels. Hopefully with future updates these will come to fruition. Relatively quick story mode, but very enjoyable. Yet to try out adventure and survival modes.

Broken. Don't get this game it only lasted half an hour before it dropped out and wouldn't start up again

Fantastic Game. I bought Plunderland on a whim after seeing it featured on TouchArcade, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. It has really sharp visuals with a great art style, fun physics-influenced gameplay, and good replay value (collecting as much treasure and finding the secret Cod Pieces). It just is a really enjoyable game. Can't wait to see the new content they'll be releasing in the future.

Quality Gaming. I have been a fan of JohnnyTwoShoes for a long time and always look forward to their games. This is one of the best ones yet! The physics, graphics, storyline and everything is just superb! Love it! Keep making great games guys.

Fun game, great graphics. Plunderland is an amazing game. Really great graphics and fun to play. Everyone my son has shown it to is going to by it. It really is one of those games that draws a crowd. We have been playing on the iPad btw and the graphics are great on that. I haven't yet played it on my iPhone! The one problem is, I wish it was longer. I really hope that the developer can sort us out with a few more levels....please!

black screen mishap. whenever i play this there is a black screen. i fixed it by unsyncing it from the ipod/iphone and then putting it back on. it has happened again! gameplay pretty good though. free updates please!

Great game but.... This is a really good game! It's short and simple and the graphic is nice. However, please fix some of the bugs that prevent you from getting certain cod pieces. Also, i some of the achievements don't seem to sync with game centre. For examples, i did all the expert score but game centre said that i haven't done them @.@

The developers should buy the rolando rights and make rolando 3, seems to be on par as far as production values go and for some reason resembles the style... That aside great work guys!

Good idea; so short. I've got $114,000 game points and no more stuff to buy. Got all ships and wot not and now I am bored to hell with this game. Not enough levels, not enough in the shipyard. The games play is short lived leaving you wanting more. I waited so long for update only to find little was done and that they wanted more money for some thing that should of been free (in app purchase). $3.99 is a rip for what ya get; if they had better upgrades and ships plus more levels the game would be worth it's price, other wise $2.49 would be a better suited price until more is done with this game. For now I've deleted it till they make a decent upgrade. Please don't waste ya money; at least not now.

Gooooood but... The game was amazing for the time I played it! But I ended up beating it in around 2 hours, this is the third time I reviewed but still no update since, I'm going to start lowering the rating even more until I get a nice sized update, I hope this low level threat will make you update the game :)

Game locked unless pay monthly. You can only play for a minute before limited and forced to pay a monthly fee to unlock the game. Would pay one time but not monthly. One star until devs change this.

I have played hundreds of iOS games and this one is in my top 10!. An excellent casual game with Rolando style all and pirate humour. Works great on an iPhone 3G which struggles with a lot of newer titles. Definitely a work to behold and created by a two man dev team. I gave this a 5/5 for being so fun and innovative but I would like to see three things to improve it: - An alternate control scheme for firing - More content down the road to keep players coming back - An iPad version

There so so many thing wrong with this app. 1- if someone calls while you are playing, the sound will go on mute and never comes bavk unless you turn on and off the phone. 2- And then if you do that, if you are on higher levels, you would have to start from somewhere lower because it doesnt show where you are last, the most it can save it "not just hot air" something, 3- the aiming is trrible even tho after the update is still poor, better but poor. Other then that, it was a really great idea but should get thesr fixed. Honestly i deleted it but i re install it to put this review, maybe this will hekp to get this game fixed.

Plunderland=Awesome. This game is amazing! Very good ragdoll physics and great upgrades. A couple of things I would like in the next update are more upgrades and better control when firing the cannon. The tilting and dragging thing together is hard to get use to. Besides that, i give this game four stars.

Not playable for free. Even though the description says playable for free, after one minute into the game it says you have to pay to continue playing. That is certainly not “playable for free”.

It's a lot better than the original PC version Pirates of JTS, so don't expect a cheap clone ported to the App Store. This is a high quality game with clearly very devoted and passionate developers, they knew what gamers wanted and delivered! If you enjoy the Rolando series, you'll feel right at home with Plunderlands controls. You tilt to move, touch to interact. It's all very smooth and responsive, so you never feel too out of control. As the game progresses you gain gold to purchase new upgrades (ships, cannons, etc), and it works in favour of the level progression: the more you play, the more gold you get, the better your ship becomes. And it always feels great to have an extra cannon ball to fire or a bigger boat to Plunder with! One of Plunderlands greatest strengths is it's Ragdoll-like physics when interacting with people and items, it's very similar to Pockets God's "pick and drop/throw" style. And it's always fun to pick an islander and shake him for his pocket change! If that gets repetitive, just go ahead and hold him under water until he stops breathing, if you can stomach being so evil. My favourite part of Plunderland is watching an enemy ship break in two and sink to the depths of the sea. For some reason this NEVER gets old, it's definitely the highlight of the game for me! So if you're looking for pirates, a great physics engine, or just plain old Plundering, do yourself a big favour and snag this game ASAP!

awesome game. super fun game, I am excited to see how the devs evolve it, there is so much that can be done to expand on this great game.

Great game. Please add more levels...I finished the adventures in a couple hours :) (and I'm 41 so kids could probably finish in under 1 hour) Lots of fun though

Blank. I love the game (especially the art) but it would be nice if there were more vehicles availabe like the airship or a submarine or somthing of the sort and it would also be muchfun if you could go on dry land and battle with rifles

Pretty funny game. It's a pretty well thought out game, simplified gameplay with some very amusing moments. Only gripe is that the menu system and shop menus are extremely unresponsive for the ipad2. I just spent 5 minutes trying to press play from the shipyard/main screen to actually play to no avail, so, here I am writing this review to try again soon

My review for Plunderland!. Plunderland is ruling the vast seas of content on the appstore!In Plunderland you are the ghost of your old pirate ship and you help your old crew navigate the deep blue in search of treasure, the british and Sea monsters. Plunderland is very imaginative. It combines many different games into one. Being the awesome dead pirate that you are, you are able to pick up large ships and tear them in half, toss people like rag dolls, catch enemy fire and return it to the enemy cannon, dig for treasure and much more. Basically everything is interactive. If its on screen, odds are you can interact with it. Plunderland boasts solid graphics and smooth gameplay. The way is fire cannons is very engaging and water physics fit just right. Most levels are very short and offer high incentive to replay old missions so you can buy new upgrades for your ship. Every level is set in a straight line. You can only go backwards and forward but it is implemented very well into the lay out of the game. You never feel confined to one space, it still feels like your exploring a vast ocean. Everything is near perfect in Plunderland, also the developers promise free dlc that will enhance the experience. Plunderland is a pretty, addictive, fun little piece of paradise that fits right in your hand. Definitely worth picking up! Verdict-10/10

Awesome. Don't listen to everyone else.. This is a very creative, innovative game that has to be one of my favorites on the iPhone. Many reviews are complaining it's too short, but I beg to differ. For $3, you get hours of gameplay. And if you're a freak and like unlocking all the secrets and getting 100% completion, there's even more play time. The game looks AMAZING on the iPhone 4 retina display, and the art design is spectacular. Gameplay is somewhat of a mix between Rolando and Pocket God (which means it can get incredibly addicting). I was hesitant when I saw the reviews that said the game was too 'short', but I bought the game anyway and I don't regret it. An amazing experience. Plus, I'm positive future updates will add more campaigns. So for those of you on the fence, don't look at the other reviews, all you need to do is read this one. BUY THIS GAME.

Fun, cute game-but could be improved by.... I think the graphics are cute, I like the ability to buy upgrades with the gold you collect, I like the variety to the game with touch and pull options/tilt/drowning characters by holding them under water. I love the controls. Though I think the game would be better suited for an iPad than for my itouch, just because of the busy-ness to the scene, I wish my screen was bigger! At times the game starts to lag, especially in the later levels which is a drag when snow is falling and you can't move to get out of the way. The game really isn't all that challenging (for me anyway) but it is a fun way to pass the time without using a whole lot of concentration on it. I wish there was a help mode, or an explanation for what the cod fish actually looks like. LOL! I don't even know who the pirates are. It would be nice to have a character page. Also, sometimes I'll see some pink thing in the water but ill try to pick it up and it just sinks! It'll claim I get the special cod fish in a level but I honestly don't know what it is or where it is. The hints and tips often go too fast to read or comprehend. Thats really my only gripe. I only say this to help out the developers to improve it to a solid 5 star game.

Great Game But..... Game cube ruined it apparently. All it does is crash at random times.

What App Buyers Are Looking For. This is a super entertaining and a great mix between strategy, adventure, and an rpg. Crisp, clear graphics, smooth physics engine, and diverse. I would love to see updates with new features like more interactions with the islanders and more godly powers. However the movement mechanics aren't as fun as it sounds along with a slow camera to follow, also firing the cannon is very difficult using an arching angle aim. As for glitches I have only seen one which could be a glitch or part of the gameplay but when crew members are thrown overboard it disables shooting a lot of the time which is irritating. All around it's a good game, but only worth .99 cents or possibly 1.99. I'm sure the price will lower when the app losses popularity (If it does... UPDATE!) P.S. I think this game has potential to be the Angry Birds replacement in the #1 spot. 1.0.1 Update PROBLEMS: It fixed many problems but I noticed on the "Not Just Hot Air" mission I can't seem to hit the big balloon contraption no matter what angle I attack from and on some missions when my boat is hit by a rock or a shell it's just demolished, dissapearing in to thin air leaving the crew just floating there.

Unique and pretty game but big gameplay flaws. I have to say that I thoroughly enjoy this game. My primary reason for making the purchase was due to the cute lookin' artwork. Within minutes I was having a blast controlling the vessel and taking down enemies with cannon-fire. But after a pretty fun campaign with a few hiccups in gameplay not bothering me, it's in the survival modes that make these gameplay flaws pretty annoying and sometimes unbearable. They are as follows: -Tossing enemies like rag dolls is fun and useful, but why am I able to ram that enemy into my entire 5-man crew and kill them all in one unintentional swipe? The screen is small as it is and being able to cause damage to your crew is kinda stupid IMO. -I love the power-up that allows you to rip enemy vessels in half by using a two-finger touch gesture, but why does the game allow and think that I want to rip my own vessel in half? Again, I find it pretty stupid that you can cause damage to yourself. When I'm at the final stage of the hardest survival difficulty I don't want to unintentionally cause my own demise... Despite these 2 very annoying gameplay quirks, I love this game. It's pretty looking, suits the iPhone 4 well, and is fun. Looking forward to the addition of more campaigns.

Needs new pause/resume system. Fun game! I have a few suggestions: Right when you launch the game in the main menu you see your ship with it's current upgrades and some of the characters playing around. Is there any way that this screen can be made into a sandbox mode where you can interact with your ship and characters, etc.? That would be amazing. Also, the screen goes black but I can still hear sounds coming from the game when I try to relaunch the app during multitasking. I am running on an iPod Touch 3G on iOS4. Lastly, I dislike the current pause/resume system very much. A two finger swipe down to pause and a two finger swipe up to resume (or just a double tap) would be much more intuitive. Please add that in an update! By the way, this game is incredible. Everything from the physics, graphics, and gameplay is great. I bought Plunderland yesterday morning and have been playing it ever since! If the issues/additions can be added and fixed in the next update, this game would rise even higher.

So awesome. Such a good game. Some of the crazy situations made me crack up, like that kamikaze shark. I've been following these guys on twitter and can tell that they're intent in making this the best iPhone game ever. I'm going to board the bandwagon (ship) and agree that I could use more stuff. Two things I'd love to see: another sea monster. Summon the kraken!! Second, I think that making more levels will only make people happy for a very short time. You should make some kind of sandbox/ free play mode. People might get bored with the levels you make them so let them make their own. Like deciding when a fleet will come, or a sea monster. Building a little island...that kind of stuff. Keep up the awesome work guys!! Update: plunderland, arrr!

Wowzers. by far the best game to come out in a while. i have over 600 apps and though i haven't been able to play some of them as the ios4 crash rash spreads, plunderland falls no victim. every aspect of this game is sick. i have payed 10 dollars for apps not nearly as good. Plus the devs. seems dedicated as they gave us an update a week after the launch. People want updates to this game? i cant wait to see their next game. Update: wow this and monster dash for free uni today!.?!?! This is the best game I got in a while and thank you developers for not being greedy....others should take note, you make a good game, you don't gotta charge for the HD upgrade cause I'll make ur cash....thanks 2 shoes

Everything I want in a game. I've waited so long to get this game! I love the simple graphics and style of the game. My favorite thing about it, is that you can interact with pretty much everything. Throw the enemy's cannonballs back at them, throw enemies into each other, drowned them, hold then over fire and burn them, not to mention ripping ships in two when you powerup. I hope to see more interactions in updates, and I hope the updates continue coming forever. Way too good of a project to push under the rug!

Fun. Really fun

I love it!. It's a very fun game. People love iPhone games with great physics, at least I do, and this game has great physics, for the iPhone. It reminds me of pocket god in the sense that you can interact with almost anything you see, but with physics and ragdolls. Like, you can pick up an islander and shake him over your boat to take his money, and then throw him over a rock or ignite him with fire. You can pick up literally anything if you pick up the ghost power which allows you to tear up the enemies boat with you fingers, throw it around, or use it to destroy another ship(including your own). This is the kind of app where you can really use your creativity to get past obsticals. Now the story....this app doest need one. It's about new pirates with a boat and a ghost with it. And along their adventures they meet enemies and sea monsters. Overall, a great buy and worth the money. It may not gave so many levels, but it has great replay value.

Gaming distilled. This is the definition of great game design. Technically, the game runs smoothly, controls perfectly, has a great physics engine, and does what you expect it to do without fail. It's the intangible details that give Plunderland the kind of universal appeal desired by all gamers. For example, the simple but endearing personalities given to the various characters gives you an emotional connection to the action. I sank an navy ship, the sailors swam to an occupied island, and began killing natives indiscriminately. Sure, I usually throw the natives off the island and take their treasure anyway, but they were MY natives to kill, not the stupid sailor's. I often just toss the natives safely to the water if I'm feeling nice enough to just steal from them. I'd love to see some more friendly interaction with the island inhabitants. Maybe I could collect items for them in exchange for a recruit or two. Consider Openfeint for achievements and scores, please. Amazing game, guys. You should be very proud. I'm proud for you, and I don't even know you.

Good game with fluid graphics,no constant crashing on me, never froze(only one lil mistake on update so mulligan? :D) It's simple to start no thirteen actions to memorize just shoot pick up (and occasionally holding a Brit below water or a p.o.'d islander above a flame) so above all I'd be happy to say if they didn't add on to this I'd pay for another app, so join the crew and play good ol'plunderland it's worth it I promise :)

Solid game with a fun, simple core mechanic. This game is extremely polished, simple, and extremely entertaining. Each level gets progressively more difficult and/or interesting, and I really like the pacing. The guy who said the game is only for 5 year olds seems like a really biased review to me. Anyone who's maybe a bit of a big kid at heart, or enjoys a silly casual gaming experience will dig this game. It's kind of like a suuuuper casual version of Sid Meier's pirates. My only gripes would be that I wish there were maybe a few more upgrades, it would be something great for a future update. As an app developer myself I give major props to the creator of Plunderland, the fact that he did the graphical polish of a game like godfinger without (I assume) the budget ngmoco is incredible. I'd love to read a postmortem of the design and development process.

Game is fun but glitchy. Cannon on boat sometimes randomly goes out of the ship and than no bombs can be fired. Please fix.
