Beautiful. As others have wrote, the Gorey-esque style is really the highlight of the game and what made me want to buy this when it was first released. But I hesitated due to poor reviews on control. The controls are decent for me but it may have been improved long before my purchase. I think the tilting is fine but I would've preferred arrows to move the perambulator back and forth; I may just be old-fashioned though. Overall, great style and decent music and intriguing gameplay/plot makes this a keeper.

Ridiculous. It's ridiculous that I can't pass one of the levels I have tried and tried and tried there is a bit of a glitch in the Grimm attack construction!

Update?. Is there gonna be updated version to play on iOS 11? I miss playing this game.

I finally purchased.... ...this game. But I must say that it is rather difficult to get a hang. The visuals look amazing and that's what drew me to the game. But if you want something to pass time and enjoy quickly, this isn't really the game for that. You have to master the introduction before if even unlocks the game so you can play. Kindo' silly to me. Other than it's an okay game.

A Waste. I bought this app for my iPod, which is older. This app is only for iPod Touches 3 and 4. I thought mine was a 3rd generation,but appernently not, so I can't even use it. I wasted my money. Honestly, i don't usually look at the requirements for apps because I assume they work for everybody. Now, I have an app that will just sit in my library because I can't use it. It isn't compatable with my iPod. So for those of you that have been here for a while, don't get it.

Plz read. This game is the best you learn all the stuff I had this game before i lost it. The only thing is you need to subscribed to go to level 7 so fun it’s a must have plz make more Grimm! Love it perfect for kids and adults this is for 5+

Very disappointed!. I bought for my ipod touch-3rd generation-and it will not even load onto my ipod...I have tried several times. Needs to note that it will not work for ipod touches! Waste of money!

Interesting game. I like the story and black and white graphics.

Pretty sad.... Its pretty sad that only after this update they come out with a devise requirment list so anyone who bought it before they knew it could not run on anything below 4 and 16GBs got scewed over.

Control Options. The game was excellent!!Great story I like it and the art was good looking,but the controls needs working or add touch controls as an option.I feel like they should add a left and right touch button on the left bottom of the screen to control the baby stroller anyway still a great game.:) 4/5

Fun game. Very fun game with some great looking visuals. Controls take a bit to get the hang of and there were a few minor glitches in one of the levels, but overall very much worth the price.

Good.. BUT. This is a good game.. but I hope that you add an option to choose the way you want to move, I mean between tilting the iphone and having buttons on the left to move. Because I would enjoy the game better if there were buttons.. I'm not comfortable with tilting.. Will give you 5 stars if you add that!

Clever, intelligent, and wicked in so many ways. When I finally got an iPhone 4, this was the first game I downloaded, and I was not disappointed. Game play is exciting and challenging and keeps you on your toes. The storyline and visualization of that story are brilliant; you're a runaway baby carriage let loose in a Victorian-styled world that is wonderfully illustrated, rendered and sharp. And you have the ability to spring the happy-to-be-airborne tyke out of the pram to attack anyone who stands in your path as you race to find your mum. Putting an infant in harms way has never been so much fun!

No Retina. Love the art and style of the game. Needs to work on the iPhone 4's retina display.

Sinsiterly Addictive. This game is very complex in it's own ways. The baby is adorable and so are even the ugliest creatures. If you buy anything on iTunes, buy this game!

Reminds Me of Edward Gorey. The gameplay is good, the graphics are GREAT, and the soundtrack is AWSOME. What could make this game better? NOTHING! If you wear head phones, it only heightens the dark, grim atmosphere.

classic side scroller with a lot of style. love the look and feel of this game, both in terms of visual and narrative/atmosphere. As far as game play is concerned, somoene else mentioned repetitive game play, but i seee it as a classic side scroller with charming graphics, which is not a bad thing at all. I'm looking forward to a sequel for this, whether its more sidescroller action, or applyng these characters to a totally new kind of gameplay

So sad at glitch. This is a super cute game. I love the graphics and it's simple enough to play while out and about. Unfortunately I can't get past the third pub crawl on the first level! My buggy stops moving at the same place and won't do anything more. I've tried to reinstall and everything. Very disappointing because I would like to finish.

iPad Please!. This is so beautiful and I loved it on my iPod. Now I've upgraded to iPad and want it big and beautiful! Please update for the larger platform!

Inventive and well presented.. You are a self powered baby buggy that launches a baby as a weapon. And some top hatted madman wants your baby. That is a good enough premise to last an entire game. The art in this game is, well, it is artistic. So many iOS games have day glow cartoon characters who traipse about in remakes of Super Mario World. Not this game. The baby buggy lives in a charcoal grey punctuated by the occasional red balloons, blue water, and dripping green slime. The promise of more inventive art is enough motivation to get you through the many challenging sequences (and I mean "challenging" in a good way). The controls are also interesting, but not always interesting in a good way. Tilting the iDevice will roll the baby buggy left or right. Tapping a large circle will jump. Tapping a small circle will stop (which is very helpful). Pulling down will set your baby up for launch Angry Birds style. The scheme works, just not well enough. Often the buggy is slow to respond to a jump, resulting in unintentional and frustrating death. There are also a few glitches, such as the baby buggy falling through the floor, exiting a level without the baby, and getting the baby stuck. One particular cut scene with a bird stealing the baby to its nest was repeated over and over if your baby buggy is mauled by a bear. Unskippable cutscenes are lesser crimes against humanity. The updates are appreciated. Even with the dings of bugs and janky controls, Grimm: Ride of the Perambulator is a stellar game.

how fun and morbid. This game is fun simple and beautifully illustrated. But there is something kinda morbid about flinging a baby at a creepy old guy who looks like santa to kill him. Great game

Fun .. But too many controls. This game has a great story, an awesome theme, and originality. I really enjoy this game. My only problem is that there are way too many different controls in this game. If you enjoy thinking outside of the box and coming up with conclusions fast then this is your type of game. But makers of the game, please consider cutting down the controls to three or two different actions rather than 10 . Overall , I love this game ! 💜

Great game... Horrible glitches!!!. This game is great very fun but at the last level with the ferris wheel is impossible 2 pass the cannon ball disapeared how am i gonna pass it? I also encounterd another problem with the bear but another glitch helped me pass it in an unusual way. Would get 5 stars if it wasnt 4 the bug. Fix it and you will get your 5 stars thanx!

Bad. I think the game is so hard and just completely terrible!:( I don't understand how u can possibly do this. On the other hand I think the setting is really cool:)

Great. It kept enough challenge to keep me interested. It is a great game for the price and addicting once you het started.

So SWEET!. Honestly, I don't know how you could expect more than this from an iPhone game: It's ridiculously cute, drawn and executed beautifully, and endlessly entertaining. I throw the baby around the screen just to hear it make those little noises. I didn't even know an update was coming, but it solved the only issue that bugged me: Now I can pause it (when my real baby starts screaming or to take a phone call) and come back to the same spot later on. You won't be disappointed, best game on my phone by FAR.

Great update. I really enjoy this game, beautiful graphics and a nice story. The update brings a lot of improvements. It runs MUCH faster and is more responsive, making the whole experience even better. Also adds multi-tasking, which I'm glad they finally addressed so the game won't be interrupted when you do app switching. Good stuff. Also...you can now kill enemies with one hit by launching the baby at them. Haha

Updates for new IOS?. I got a note today (April 2017) saying this game will stop working soon with upcoming updates to the iOS. Any plans to address this or are you just letting it fall apart?

Unique and exclusive. I loved this game though being simple or casual platform game it impress me with art and graphics.

Well Done, Very Creative, Non-Repetitive Game. PROS: I liked the black and white artwork. Very stylized and similar to Gorey. Gameplay was fun. Music was excellent. CONS: Sometimes it was unclear what needed to be done in certain areas to advance the game. A couple areas were a bit too easy. I noticed some minor pausing in the graphics during some scenes (especially when launching the baby)

Needs. iPhone 5 widescreen update

Ok. The concept, storyline, and ambience are good, but the controls are terrible. The buggy doesn't immediately roll from a dead stop, the steering is unresponsive sometimes, and the buggy will shoot forward (like a burst of speed) at the worst possible times. If these problems were fixed, five star game for sure. Until then, 2 or 3 at best.

Good game, but needs improving. Firstly, loved the atmosphere created by the black and white, detailed graphics. Game-play good at first, but awkward controls. Should've thought of better controls, 'cos when you floating or jumping and you gotta tilt ipod to direct pram you will do this many times before you land on something, constantly going back to the beginning of checkpoint. Game is very frustrating at times. It seems there's a coding error in level FAERIE KINGOM 3: It appears you have to have three lives to continue past the part where you are floating upwards in a bubble toward the clouds. This is at the stage after the first dream sequence where you have to shake pod to exit dream sequence and continue playing. You will reach the clouds and continue if you have three hearts; if even one heart is spent, the pram will float up only a few feet and drop back down to earth. When this happens you gotta go back to main menu and restart Faerie Kingdom 3. Also, would have been better if you could see more of the game area, to know where you are going, instead of hoping you have landed on the cloud, or the platform. All in all, prepare for a lot of clumsy controls, awkward gameplay, frustrating restarts, but great atmosphere and graphics.

Needs a few adjustments.. Game has beautiful graphics and the music accompanies it well, but the repetitiveness and the lack of both better controls and a save point is a let down.

Grim. Great graphics and a cool idea but SHITHOUSE controls. I don't know the proper gaming words but it's really hard to control. Keep dying and getting kicked back to beginning. Now I just can't be bothered.

Could do with a few adjustments. Fantastic style and sound make this such a delight to play. My only complaints are there should be a slider option in stead of just tilt controls, and some tearing around some enemies needs to be fixed

Very nice!. Very nice game with a very interesting set of controls. The graphics are beautiful and I think with the update the previously mentioned control issues have been resolved.

LOVE IT. I play this game all the time; Love the design and characters, fun levels, challenging parts. I wish there were more games with the same layout - It's great !!

More tedious than fun. This app is more of a chore than a game. Repeatedly throwing skulls and shells into baskets, shaking your iPhone for one to two minutes to extinguish a friggin' fire, jumping up and down two or three dozen times to operate a lift... Boring!!! It's a lot more tedious than fun. Definitely not addictive. I've advanced very far in the game, but the tedium always makes me turn it off after a few minutes and play something else. Nice graphics and original, but not very fun.

issue with controls. I'm using an iPhone 4 and never encountered a game with such terrible controls, even on my old 3G. I have to try 15 times before it'll fling the baby and so can't get past the tutorial level in time. lame.

Cute :). The graphics are adorable and pretty to look at, but the game itself is a bit slow. You just tilt the baby carriage, jump over obstacles and avoid a few things but that's otherwise it. I haven't experienced the glitches that I've read about though, so that's a plus. Over all, it's a cute game to pass time :)

Glitch.. There is a glitch on Faerie Kindom 3 when you have to get past the False Mother after she has discovered your trick. The first time I played the level there was a pink bubble that would carry you above, but when I tried to replay the level there is no longer a bubble and it's impossible to get past her.

Bad controls. Fix the controls and I'll rate higher.

Great game. Excellent game with beautiful artwork. No multitasking is a little annoying, but hopefully that can be fixed with an update.

Entertaining and beautiful.. This game is so fun. The art work is unique and amazing, and the gameplay addictive. I usally get bored with games easily but I know I'll be playing this one to its conclusion. I haven't had the troubles with controls that some users have claimed, but I find the full stop button is maybe a little too close to the jump button.

Game quits. Game plays the intro, but when the pram rolls of the screen the game quits and my iPod returns to the main screen. Annoying as hell.

Had this app...paid for it...but nothing now.... I paid for this app, downloaded it, and it was working fine. It said there was an update and I downloaded it, now there is nothing! The graphics were incredible and the game was fun for as far as I got, hope this gets fixed soon!

Can't Play It. Nothing to do with compatibility issues, but I'm unable to play it. I'm always messing up on the first level. Definitely not worth what I paid for it.

Pffffft. This game looks great! Just wish I could find out. After purchasing it it won't load on my iPod, say it's not compatible, even though I'm all up to date(4th generation). Hope this gets fixed soon...

looks cool but...... I really wanted to get this app, it seemed really cool, and I read the reviews and they were for the most part good, so I got it, and when I went to download it, it said it was not compatiable with my device, but in the deiscription of the app, it said it was compatiable with the ipod touch 3rd generation. I was very dissappointed, and hopefully they can fix this, because I think this could be a very good app.

Please fix!!!!!!!!!!. So Grimm looks really fun and challenging but of course I would not know because when I tried to download it it said my ipod was not compatible. Which was kind of disapointing.... for one thing the requirements said that it was going to work, which looking at the other reveiws those requirements were misleading. So because I bought this game, can't play it, and probably can't get a refund PLEASE UPGRADE!!!!!!!!!! P.S. for anyone who is looking into buying this game make sure your ipod is compatible (unless an upgrade comes soon)

Wish I Could Play. Would love to play, but when my ipod (which is up to date) tried to sync Grimm, it told me that my ipod was not compatible. Hopefully this error will be fixed soon, until then i cannot tell whether this is a worthwhile purchase or not.

Fantastic!. **IF YOU HAVE THE 3rd GENERATION iPod 8GB VERSION, DO NOT BUY THIS, IT WILL NOT WORK. The compatbility issues are being caused by the differences between the hardware of the 32gb and the 8gb version. For those of you who don't know, the 3g 8gb is identical to the 2g versions. The 3g 32gb however has upgraded RAM, GPU power, and CPU power. Don't believe me? Check the Apple website. As for the game itself, Fantastic. It has an insanely cool art style. Reminds me of The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom.

I also love the comedic value of the app. The noises of the baby and drunken goons make this game hysterical. I find myself quite literally laughing out loud! Thanks for the fun game ROBOX!

Stupid game. Ugly and boring game .

Cool graphics, fun gameplay, and you can launch a baby!! Sign me up!. Saw this game and thought it looked pretty cool. The screenshots looked great, so I decided to take the plunge and buy this (at 99 cents, the decision wasn't hard). As soon as I was going through the tutorial, I knew this was going to be a great game! The game is fun and interactive with very simple controls (accelerometer + Jump/stop buttons). There are even parts when you get to launch the baby from the pram (aka Stroller) to pass obstacles or defeat enemies. And let's be serious, what's more fun than that? This game has over 10 levels of gameplay, and is well worth the 99 cent pricetag. This is great for long stretches of gameplay like long car/bus/train/plane rides, or long lines (like the ones at the DMV). Really enjoyed this game, and looking forward to more from this developer.

Just Good. I am slowly becoming more and more obsessed with this app. The graphics are wonderful-- it's truly original, and a lot more challenging than you would think. However, I am only giving it 3 stars because the app tends to crash, freeze, etc. It's also annoying that you constantly have to start over at the beginning of the level when you die. I wish these guys would fix the crashing/freezing issues though, because then, (in my opinion), this app would be pretty darn close to perfect.

highly-detailed, well-crafted platformer. This game has great graphics and reponsive controls on my 3rd gen. iPod touch. I can tell the developer put a lot of work into refining the atmosphere and presentation of the game. I've only played the introduction and part of world 1 so far, but I am having a blast, and the game has already been worth more than its price! Highly recommended if you like platformers and action puzzle games. Well done, developer! Thanks for a fun and inexpensive gaming experience!

can. i've got a 3g itouch, and the thing says it'll run on there, but when I try to install it, it says it's not compatable with my ipod. It looks fun. please just fix it or give me a refund.

too bad, looks cool. a beautiful looking game, but not enough reward to keep me entertained. Getting to the next level is difficult and one gets really bored with starting over all the time. Gameplay is too repetitive and frustrating.

Awesome artwork and very fun & addictive game!. I was immediately and totally hooked. I haven't bought a game in a long time but this caught my eye and I love it. The unique story and characters. You can't help but laugh when it tells you to "launch the baby"! The animations of the enemies and background scenery is incredible. I agree with the other other reviews... this is a really cool addictive game!

Absolutely beautifully done!. I dont usually write app reviews, but this one deserves it. This game is just absolutely beautifully done. The concept, the art work, music, its all fantastic. If Edgar Allan Poe or Tim Burton could do an app, this would be it. My only complaint is that, since I was running this on an iPad on 2x mode, it sometimes felt like I was stretching a little too much as far as controls goes. Also, on 2x mode, you can tell that there is a little bit in the animation that need to be cleaned up, but is very minimal. Good job, Robox Studios!!!!!!! Go ahead and get this app! Get in touch with your inner goth!

Amazing...finally a game for Gothic Lolitas. This game is so fun the graphics are perfect the sounds are lovely and the gameplay is superb...great job hope they make more games I would buy them all.

Stylized Fun Game with Great Storyline. This game has some really beautiful graphics, highly stylized and on top of it all it is fun to boot. The theme is really quite unique and creates a dark charles dickins/edward gorey/tim burton/ world that does not take itself too seriously. The game play is controlling a perambulator (aka baby carriage - had to google it). You jump, tilt, and can catapult the baby at enemies (gotta love a game that shoots babies at drunks!). Game play is engaging, changes up on you, creates simple obstacles to overcome and moves a story line which is about getting the baby back to his/her parents. I love games that have great stories like the old Abe's OddWorld or BioShock, if you love games like that you'll love this little little gem. Great to play for long stretches or while waiting in line at the drug store.

Love the style. Not only is the style great, the app is a lot of fun too. Kudos.

Disapointed. I was excited when saw this game and thought it would be a lot of fun. I also have an up to date ipod touch and I was told after paying for the game and trying to install it that it was not compatible with my touch either - this is just not cool and Grimm needs to fix this.

Not compatible with itouch 3Gen 8Gig?. Are you guys serious? The game is only like 50 Meg....Why would people need to have a 16G machine to run this on? ROBOX studios, get real!!!! Fix the game so that it runs on an 8Gig machine....To design it to run on only a 16G machine is total Bull&*#@! I know I only paid a buck for the game, but I aint buying nothing from you people ever again. A 50 Meg game and people need a min of 16Gig drive space to run it??? What kind of SH*& is that? Controls are crap. Visually, the game is beautiful, but the controls are so awful it's maddening. They're slow to respond, inconsistent when they do, and ultimately, they make the game no fun to play. If the controls were consistently crappy, I'd wonder if it was operator error, but they're so spotty (sometimes the carriage stops right when you tap the fast stop button, sometimes it takes a while) that it's clearly a problem w/ the design. And they're so touchy (the slightest tilt sends the carriage rolling when you're trying to aim) that it's just irritating, not challenging. To top it off, it's often unclear what the game wants you to do - even after several passes at an early level. I finally gave up. Total waste of money, just glad it wasn't more than $.99.

Good game but usual flaw. Very cool graphics and overall look, but like nearly all of these games, if you mess up ANYWHERE in a level, you have to replay the ENTIRE level. The game does not save your progress at any point. Bigtime fail for me.

Unique. I enjoy the game. The graphics and music are nice. It is a rather slow pace game, so if that's your thing, you'll enjoy it. I wish the the transition when starting games went a little faster as well as the segue's. Would have been 5 stars, but the slow pace annoys me at times.

Fun for 5 minutes then UNBELIEVABLY BORINg. Nice graphics don't make up for repetitive and unsatisfying gameplay

Won't run on iOS 3.1.3. I just downloaded it, but it won't run on my ipod touch running iOS 3.1.3 even though the description says it will run on iOS 3.0 and higher. Apple refused to help and referred me to application developer. Emailed app developer but no response yet. If I get a response from developer I will update this review accordingly.

DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!!. this game completely broke my ipod ........i had to buy a whole new ipod!!!!! and i even tried to contact itunes about it but they could not do anything about it.....so yes this is only a 99 cent app but it set me back 225 dollars DO NOT BUY THIS APP!!!!

BEAUTIFUL, DIFFERENT LOOK. LOVE: The look, the dark ambiance, the slow game play, the artwork, and throwing that baby makes me laugh every time, but it also brings me to the HATE. HATE: PLEASE improve the touch or control to shoot the baby. I run my finger down the pram and by the time I find the "sweet spot" , shooting the baby is a moot point....i have lost all my lives or hearts.......which brings me to HATE #2. It takes you all the way back and I mean ALL THE WAY back. So here ya go again, only to the point that you can't get the baby to shoot, then back to the beginning. I am having hard enough time getting out of the Intro/Instruction Level, please give me credit for what I have accomplished and let me start from there. Fix it and watch my rating go to 5!!!!!!! I'll look everyday for the update!!

Wish I could play. I read the entire description after I purchased this app. It looked great, and probably is, but unforunatley I can't play. Why? My iTouch is 2nd gen hardwarewise, but up to date softwarewise. Please make it available for all, or I want my money back.

You're Dead, Start Again.... This beautiful, wonderfully scored and elegantly drawn game suffers from one of the most deadly of Version 1 Syndrome problems: It bores the user to death by forcing them to go all the way back to the beginning of very long game sections whenever they die. Getting through the introductory / training section of the game is interminable. At one point you aren't even told why you died, essentially creating a cul-de-sac where you die over and over, forcing you to repeat repeat repeat all the many challenges that came before that one, as if you have nothing better to do than waste your day going over and over and over.... Get the picture? Nice idea, very beautiful, but incredibly TEDIOUS game play. I lost interest and may well never bother with this game again, which is quite a shame. Unless they rewrite the game play, don't bother with it.

Incredible artwork. It's obvious that this game has an absolute ton of work poured into it. Handmade indie games are always my favorite. It happens to be really fun too. Definitely worth the 99cents I paid. I'm very surprised that this game doesn't cost more actually with how much work went into its creation. I highly recommend spending your dollar on it.

This should be game of the week!. Best game I have. More addictive than Angry Birds.

Creepy but fun!. Grimm is probably one of the most played apps on my Ipod. It's challenging, yet fun! The levels can be tricky because I'm only at the second book thing or whatever it's called, but I think that's what makes it so addicting. The only down side to Grimm is that it takes forever to start a level (maybe that's just me because I'm impatient). Also it's a little bit creepy! Lol.
