Great game, but needs more. Very fun game. Not sure why they make it see like some sort of mystery though. There seem to be clues of some sort on the various levels but they have nothing to do with game play. It's actually a puzzle game where you have to build Webs to catch insects. Once the insects are all eaten, you can move on, whether you happened to catch any clues or not. Also, I worked through all of the levels in just several hours. Rather than a simple puzzle game, would be nice if catching insects gave you the web power needed to solve the actual mystery, if there even is one.

And your point?. I'm obviously missing something here because I can't figure out what the point of this game really is. I enjoyed the graphics immensely, even got a little creeped out by the bugs all over my screen (yes, I even scratched.) I have been through it once and I'm still trying to figure out what I "solved" or concluded by passing all the levels. Even so, I was totally addicted. Perhaps I need to go through this game a couple more times and then the solution will come to me.

Innovative Puzzler. When I was 12 I had an idea to make a spider game much like this one. 30 years later that concept is a reality far beyond anything my juvenile imagination could have conceived. Brilliantly illustrated, with amazing gameplay and excellent level design - this is a great game. I love it!

Love Spider. I've had this game on my phone as long as I've had my iPhone! It is a beautiful app and its fun to make the webs. I wish you guys would make New Apps because you are obviously very talented and this app is totally original.

Very fun. This is absolutely fantastic. The graphics are really amazing and building spiderwebs is really fun in itself. I think I played this for about 4 hours straight the one night and a few hours before that. Unfortunately I finished it now! It's still fun to go back through and try to fill up more area or try to go all the way through every level without dying. It would be nice to have a sort of par to tell how well you really did. I like how Angry Birds has a one,two, or three stars for that even though it can be really frustrating to try to get to three. Anyways, it is a great, well done game and worth the money.

More levels please!. Absolutely stunning graphics and wonderful game play. Truly the most beautiful game i own. The only possible improvement would be to have more levels.

What a great game!. This is a sleeper that I discovered thanks to Apple editors suggestion of the sequel. The sequel cost much more, but when I finish this I will definitely consider it! There is no real rush, altho the score does keep track of your time. There's a learning curve, but the simple trick is to TAP on the spider to start the silk to make a web and go from there to catch bugs and so on. No, not boring, because you have challenges ahead like slippery tubs and need to get under sinks thru broken pipes. Fun but not a race. I love it.

Love it, like it, this app rocks!!!!!😉. I love this app it's amazing! Not only is it fun but it's hard and tricky! You have to think outside of the box. It also teaches you geometric shapes. I would recommend this game to tweens, teens, adults, and even elderly if you want to make them think. Its really neat when they show you the webs that you've made because you have made a picture out of them, that's only if you have a good imagination and you can see it. I will tell my friends about this app, i love it!

Not much of a "secret" (warning: partial spoiler). Here's the good: great controls -- I really felt as though I was moving a spider. Great colors and artwork. I was able to get almost all of the bugs my first time through (the hornet nests were still too tricky). I played a second time through because I read there was a real "mystery" if you unlocked a secret room. Well, even after following an online walkthrough I couldn't get the secret room to open. I did eventually find out what was in it it by reading an online website. I won't say any more.

It stopped working?. I bought this game 3 days ago and played it the first day I got it and I liked it a lot so then the next day (yesterday) I try to play it again n now the game won't even start up? All it says on the screen is last spring? What's going on with this game? I was gonna buy the new Spider game but now I'm not gonna cuz it'll just steal my money like this game did. Until the developers decide to fix this game I won't recommend it to anyone. DONT BUY THIS GAME IT DONT WORK!!!!!

I Hate Spiders... But I Love This Game.. Awesome original game that is fun to play. The only thing that could make it better would be iCloud support so I don't have to start a new game on my iPhone/iPad I want to pick up either device and continue where I left off.

Great game, glad it's free. Awesome it's free. If it was paid I'd be really bummed becase I don't have any iTunes money. But it's a great game. Only.... What happened to the Bryce people? Looks like they had three kids at least, liked beans, and had many secrets. I want to know them all! What haaaaaaapened! Help help! I really should be doing math not playing this... But it's fun! Only... Who is the guy in the living room huh? Five stars from me, but don't just take my word for it, try it out, if you really hate it delete it. 🐦⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Love it. (I'd actually give it 4 1/2 stars) I like this game a lot, the fun searching of secret spots and the able to see the perspective of a spider's life, cool. It would have been more fun if there were more levels, please make more.😊

Cute concept, nice game play, too short. I would give this game 5 stars if it were longer and more challenging. It's a cool game and the illustration and game play is beautifully done. I finished the game in a few hours and for five bucks I expect a little bit more. The mystery theme is a nice idea but there is no true resolution or satisfaction for solving it. Yes, I get the mystery but what now? Perhaps if you are going to give the gamer a mystery to solve there should be a way to collect hints, solve more puzzles, and prove that you've solved the whole mystery of the game. Instead the game stops abruptly with no true ending. More boards, challenges, and involvement with the actual mystery of the game would be needed for a five star review.

Pair play rules!. On the iphone it was entertaining. Being able to play it on a much larger screen on the ipad and having a buddy spider to go around just takes this game to another great level of play. I never get tired of it, even if I finish all the levels. WHITMORE ROCKS!

Better than ever. Maybe it's been a while since I have played it and I re-realized just how very special this awesome game is. Having it now on my iPad is even better, as an iPad native resolution HD version. The gameplay feels so intuitive on the bigger screen, it's awesome. The graphics look better than ever (still no parallax scrolling :) (Sorry, I had to get that in there :) Still, I can't recommend this game enough. There are a ton of levels and this semi-platformer is actually quite addictive. Way to go guys, Very well done and Priced so right!

Still one of my top 10 of all time.. I've been playing this on and off for years now. That said how about the sequel? It's only gone through 2-3 YEARS of delays now after the original news that the sequel was to be released. Tired of hearing from the dev's that it is coming out on this date, that date, etc.

A spider to love. This was a game I completely enjoyed. It was beautiful to look at and wonderful to play. The artwork style give the game a relaxed painterly feel. The tasks did not feel rushed although you can take the challenges. And the gameplay itself is really smart and witty.

Childhood nostalgia!. Doesn’t matter how much time it passes or how many time I play this game, it NEVER gets old. Always enjoyed playing this game, plus this takes me back to my childhood too haha Amazing job!!

What's the big deal?. The name of this game is so much cooler than the game itself. There really isn't any plot. You are a spider making webs to catch flies to make more webs...That's pretty much it. You get to see little clues about the inhabitants' lives in each room, and there are secret areas where you get extra flies. But the game itself is the same: you are always a spider making webs to catch flies. The flies increase your web amount and the spider hopes to have enough to make it to the portal. Obviously we're dealing with Bruce Wayne's house, thus you already know the mystery. I thought it was going to be a really cool mystery style game, but it's not.

Creative & Original. This is hands down one of the more creative concept games out there. It is very fun and addictive, so much so that it definitely needs more levels.

Spider: Bryce Manor HD. My very favorite game to date. I'm waiting for Tiger to introduce another, but so far nothing. I'll keep checking. Meanwhile I suppose I will have to play Bryce Manor again for the umpteenth time. Tiger... can we expect an addition to your IPad games?

Thank you for updating this!. I was worried that I would no longer be able to play this wonderful game once iOS 11 hit. I am so happy that the game has been updated! It's still as good as ever and still worth playing. So fun and relaxing. Clever game design unlike any other I've played. Highly recommend!

Even better, plus sidekick. Seems like this game was always meant for the iPad: the controls feel great and the levels are gorgeous. Surely I'll find the secret now. My girl loves playing sidekick mode and making webs together with me. We laugh every time the spiders collide.

So fun!. I LOVE this game! I never knew how fun it could be to be a spider. And there are several different modes you can play in, and I was really happy to find out it can be 2 player as well! The only thing is that I finished way too fast! More levels please! :)

Very very very awesome.. Highly recommended. Sounds are realistic, not even a "gross" game...it's just peaceful and lifelike, and just a great stress reliever. One of the first games I've felt that all levels are equipped with the right amount of difficulty and easiness. A challenge, but you're able to complete every level. Replay value is off the charts. Got it for free, but this is worth 1.99:)

I never would have thought trapping insects as a spider could become second nature.. Waking Mars and Spider HD are great games for becoming part of the game. Beautiful Trompe L'oeil like environments with great puzzles. I love this developer. I really appreciate that each insect has its own unique behavior to contend with. I get the Heebieie-Jeebies from spiders and yet somehow I'm able to play the role of one with ease, like I've done this my whole life (very weird and impressive feat). Thank you.

Who would have known spiders could be so fun to play with.. While I did pick up this game while it was free I have to say - this may very well be the best iOS game I have ever played. The touch controls work beautifully and the idea behind the game is fun and you can easily lose track of time. I find myself saying the old Minecraft mantra changed up a bit. "Just one more web, just one more web." Low and behold the next thing I know I'm still playing 10 completed webs later and 20 bugs eaten.

Fun but short. Got this last night, finished it today. I had a blast and didn't want to put it down. The adventure part though is too short. I'd give the app 5 stars if there were more levels.

This game is amazing ! Where is the sequel ??. If you are getting this game for free. You are extremely lucky. This game is so fun and has the coolest sound track that just sets the spider in an old house theme. I love the setting. Gameplay. Graphics also. Wish they would make another one.

Awesome! Great game!. This game is probably my favorite game. I love the clever details, and I also enjoy the hidden mystery. I like how there are different game modes to choose from. But the other thing I enjoy about this game is that the difficulty level is perfect. Not to hard, but not to easy. I could not find any flaws in this game at all! I just ask that you make more spider games. The first one is great, and I still have to try the second one,, but I still would like to have even more! Stop reading....... Stop reading reviews about this game. The more you read, the less you play. It is hard to not recommend one of the masterpieces for Apple devices. Everything that you have on the iPhone version you will have much more here. Top notch graphics, top notch controls, everything, you name it and the game has it.

Too short. I finished the game in under an hour, was thoroughly enjoying it then unexpectedly disappointed when there were no more levels.

Not enough built around the one gameplay concept. Cute concept and great job capturing realistic movement of spiders. The music is extremely repetitive, and the actual game play is simple, boring, and fairly imprecise. You move from room to room making webs for bugs that follow predictable patterns. If you want a very simple game that is enjoyable, play Osmos which has gorgeous visuals and great music to compensate for the "one trick" gameplay so many of the ipad/iphone games have. For me, Spider was just not fun.

Ok, but wheres the mystery story??. This game was fun and all but on the description of the game it kept talking about figuring out the mystery of the Bryce mansion, so I thought this was like a mystery game. However all you do is go from room to room eating bugs and then it over! Seriously there's like no mystery involved here. They should either stop telling people that it's a huge mystery game or put in an actual story line for it cuz it kinda left me hanging when it suddenly ended.

Original and Fun!. It's not an endless runner, a tower defense, or yet another shooter. It is actually something original. :-0 This game has charm to it and the gameplay is addictive. There are also numerous game modes to keep the game fresh for a long time. Great game for folks of any age. Kudos to the developer, who made another game I love in Waking Mars. As an app reviewer who has played hundreds of game on the iPad, it is refreshing to see games like this that bring something new to mobile experience.

How to catch the Dragonflies. Steven Kowa, you CAN in fact catch the dragonflies. First, you must pounce on them as if they were a wasp, and if you have knocked them into the web by hitting them, you can eat them. I do not see how you didn't figure this out, as I did the first time I encountered a dragon fly. Anyways, this game is great. I wasn't able to find a single flaw in it.

Incredible. I must have downloaded hundreds of games for my iPhone/iPad and this game certainly ranks near the top. Extraordinaory graphics and game play make this game unique. I will be playing this game over and over again for a long time. Highly recommended.

When will there be a Spider 2???. I got so addicted to this game, and now that I have beaten it, I would love to purchase Spider 2!!! Or at least add levels to the first one! I am looking forward to this being released. Loved this game. :)

For iPad? Really?. I hadn't even realized an iPad version existed until the price change popped it up! The iPhone version was an all-time fav of mine. A note for those struggling with the dragonflies - try to bodyslam them. I'm not kidding. Leap at them yourself; don't bother with webs on those tough guys.

Yaay an Update!. Thank you for providing an update to this really nifty app. I was so afraid it would be lost when Apple moves to the next IOS as it had been too long. The tricky, sticky spider never loses its appeal. I come back it finding it just as much fun as when I first played it.

Best app ever if.... If you're not arachnophobic! Works well, no glitches. Hours of simple mindless entertainment running around eating bugs. Ahhh, the life of a spider! I came back to the App Store to specifically add to this review. I NEVER give 5 stars. This is a 5 star! This game is sooooo much fun. Top five of Best games I ever bought! Even if you are arachnophobic. Get over it by playing this game! Buy it!

Awesome!. Omg this game is so awesome! I absolutely love it. And the music is so good I wish there was some app I could get just to listen to the music. The game is very simple but so interesting it just pulls you in. Must have on the iPad :-)

I love this game. I got this because my name is Bryce, but it's much better than I thought. The person who said you can't get the dragonflies was wrong. You have to tackle them into your web to get them. I have no idea what your supposed to do with the secrets, because I finished story mode. It also needs more levels. It's worth it

Such a pleasing game. I love this game. The whole aesthetic of it is just so appealing. From the artwork, to the music, to the gameplay itself, it gives me the same feeling I get when reading my favorite book on a rainy day. If you're used to the iPhone version, the iPad version is a real joy .. all that extra real estate makes a huge difference, not only in how much you can see at once, but also in more accurate jumping/webbing. I don't write many reviews, but this game compelled me to do so.

Liked It, But Too Short. Good game: entertaining, creative, worked well, and good graphics. I was seriously surprised when it simply ended. Others say they just played it over and over. Wasn't even interested in playing it twice. The sequel says its "months of fun". We'll have to see.

My kid loves it. I have a 4 year old boy and he is obsessed with this game. By far his favorite game on the iPad. He's surprisingly pretty good at it, too. Kudos to the developers for finding a magic formula that can captivate a little boy's mind for hours.

3rd Game I've had for years now held for ransom. Have they no shame? Are these 'developers' in the Pharma Bro Club? Buy up other people's work and then jack up the price? Along with Space Miner and Aralon, these pirates are swallowing up classic favorites and forcing us to pay $4.99 a month to play games we bought and paid for years ago. (The rest of this is repeated on my reviews of the aforementioned kidnapped games) Some folks got together and bought up a bunch of games and have locked them behind a monthly subscription plan. They say they'll let you continue playing free if you paid for it before. But they are either lying or are incompetent. They require an email to verify you bought the game, but then say the email is invalid (every app I've purchased since 2008 has been under the same email). They then tell me I can provide my UserID, from within the game that I can't access. Finally, they tell me to download any of their games, and they'll not only unlock it for free, but then use that game info to unlock this one for me. But guess what? I have to subscribe to get the new game first. Every path leads to a monthly subscription. Taking away what I have already paid for and demanding $4.99 a month to unlock it sounds more like a protection racket or extortion to me. Guess I'll just have to remember what this game was like since I can't play it anymore.

Quick journey but lots of fun. This feels very polished and really takes advantage of the iPad touch interface while still being easy to pick up and play. Would like to see a sequel with new enemies and stages. Very good game!

A very nice game. If you are looking for a game that doesn't require shooting people or blowing things up, does require the use of your brain, and even some level of hand/eye co-ordination, then Spider HD is for you. The levels are for the most part cleverly designed and look great on the retina display. The methods of dealing with the various types of bug can be tricky to work out but certainly not hard. The only complaint that I have is that the game is too short. Finishing it was a shock and left me wanting more. Not being flush with money I grabbed is game as a freebie but having played it I would happily part with my cash to have more levels (and new bugs).

Seriously?. I had heard great things about this game... Having now spent 10 minutes frantically swiping my ipad screen trying to get my spider to jump (to no avail) I am giving up. Heard of Play-testing?

If I were to sum this app up in one word it would be: beautiful This app has great graphics and great landscapes to play around in but I recommend avoiding this app if you have a fear of bugs, spiders or insects or even if you just hate adventure side scrollers. ( oh and by the way this is a great example of one!!!) If you are like me and have been searching for a perfect adventure/action app then look no further than this. The basic story is that you are a spider and enter a house that is deserted from humans but full of bugs and you must eat all of the bugs to clear the level. You catch the bugs by spinning webs and catching them. This app also has great physics and puzzles. Get this app while it's free !!! Seriously, do it ): / . Over and Out

Can't believe I paid for this. This game is BORING! Every level is the same. You're a spider. You make a web to catch bugs. Next level. Repeat. Why did I get sucked in?! Grrr. Crud.

Stunning... The gameplay, music and little storyline blend so well together, one of my favourite iPad games ever.

Wonderfully presented; highly recommended.. This is a mystery game with a difference. Essentially a platformer, Spider takes the player through an abandoned manor house littered with clues about the story it holds. These hints are not presented in chronological order, nor are they without ambiguity, leaving the sad tale of the Bryce family to be pieced together by astute observers. Also hidden in the beautifully rendered backgrounds are directions to a secret chamber in the living room: the final challenge of the game. As a result of the scattered storyline, the experience of Spider is not so much about playing as it is about simply looking - not to mention listening, since the soundtrack is superb. The gameplay itself can be enjoyed through Hunger mode and Precision mode for fans of arcade gaming and problem solving. The only real drawback is that a lot of people are afraid of spiders and insects. This reviewer is not one of those people - but obviously, anyone with a fear of creepy crawlies should avoid this game.

The more I played this the less I liked it. I've heard good things about this game and saw it was on Best of Year lists when it originally came out. However after spending some time playing it I've found myself becoming more and more frustrated with the controls the longer I continue playing. The spider gets stuck on webs and has trouble transitioning off of them, which inevitably results in you jumping across half the level repeatedly instead of completing the web you are working on. I wanted to like this game but I can't bear to continue fighting the controls :(

Great Game!!!. I have both the iPhone and iPad of this game and I love them. It's so much fun trying newer and faster ways to get the bugs. I just love the way this game is designed. I don't think that other person gets the game because there are many secrets, I guess he just never found them...lol.. The only thing I can think of to change it up a bit and to have greater replay value is to maybe add a timer mode for when you have finished the game. (to see how fast you can do it the next time with trophys too!! I luv seeing how fast and smart I can get them. And I'd truly like to see if the other guy here got every single bug. Because I'm pretty good at this and I just can't seem to get all hornets. Anyways- it's an excellent game!!!!!! Give it a try, I promise you will luv it too :-) Thanks for the GREAT GAME!!! WiiWendy

Multiplayer. It's fun but how do you access co-op!!!

Don't bother. This game was great when it first came out, but with the IOS 8 update, it doesn't work at all. Keeps sending me to the Facebook login and doesn't start.

Sad story but cool. It was a good game and the music good and good ending I like what u did butting a story in the back round good gameplay and I enjoyed it keep up the good work tiger Style

Neat idea.... Interesting and original gameplay, and I had fun with that. However, the "mystery" aspect is tricky to follow--so many tiny clues you can't zoom in on, it's not easy to just pan around the screen due to shoddy controls, and the story it tells is not very clear. That part feels a bit tacked on as if to make it more compelling like Drawn; it's a unique presentation but it hardly seems the point of the whole game. The final screen is anticlimactic; its basically there to signal to the game (and you) that yes, you've completed it, now roll the credits. The game controls in general need work; they are very frustrating, as you find your spider running in the wrong direction, leaping clear across the level when it shouldn't, and not leaping at all at a critical moment. The music is terrible and quickly gets annoying; maybe it's just not my style but its not terribly inspired. The art style is OK, but again, it's not gorgeous like Drawn. All in all it's a solid effort and the bug catching is fun, but it needs work. I'd happily play a sequel if only for improved controls etc.

NOT FREE, FULL OF LIES. This game used to be free, now it lets you play 2 levels before telling you you’ve gotta get their dumb subscription no one wants. I loved this game and it was free, soul sucking corporations couldn't settle to ads.

Disappointed. I was really hoping for more with this game. It was more money than what it was worth. Good graphics, cool concept, but not challenging at all. Not really much skill required. Finished the game without effort 24 hrs after purchasing. The secret was non existent. So much potential.

Spider. I was enjoying this app, but then the spider would "fall asleep" In the web & take a long time to "wake up" so I could move it again. I am now on level 18 & couldn't wake the spider, so I left it overnight, & still am unable to get it to move. This is very frustrating. Hope it will wake up soon, or I'll have to delete it.

Spider Bryce manor HD. I was not impressed. The concept is so basic, and the levels do not progress or get harder. I feel it was a huge waste of $5. There is just no real challenge, you make a triangle web and catch flies, that's it. It appealed to my 7 year old, but he had the entire game completed in barely an hour. Not a good buy in my opinion.

Clever game. Excellent game, great levels and tricks to unlock. Even learning that Dragonflies must be tackled into the web to be quickly consumed. Love it!

Can't play. I cannot get into this game to play, very disappointed was a good game but now when I go to play it makes me log into Facebook. I don't play games on Facebook so this is very frustrating and my grandson gets upset since he can't play it. Is there a solution to this? Please let me know or I have no choice but to get rid of the game.

Nice app but limited play. My 7 year old son beat this game in one day. I feel that for $5 an app should have longer playtime than that However it is a very visually appealing, fun, and addicting game to play.

Fun game. Fun game, but annoying that it tries to connect to your Facebook without asking. Every other time you open the app it pulls your Facebook app and tries to have you post something. Please fix

Awesome!. OMG! I couldn't put this game down so fun and really makes you think. Please add more levels I finished to fast!

Good idea. The gameplay is a new good idea and it is fun. Being a spider and making webs with your fingers is easy to pickup. The puzzles are also well designed.

Spider. This game is fun, I wish it lasted longer or had more levels, but it is still challenging to get better each time.

Fun. Good game, innovative use of a touchscreen. I'd like to see the developer continue to produce new maps (challenges, etc.) as this would help bring me back to this short game.

Annoying Facebook Connection. This is a great game with a serious flaw--it automatically opens Facebook in Safari every time I start it up. Why? That's just obnoxious. Otherwise, it would be a five-start game.

Well worth the money. I paid for this months back and it was VERY WELL worth the 5.00. Best spider simulation ever made. Id suggest to get it now while its free.

Loved it!. Completed the game, enjoyed every minute I spent on it. The art for the levels is great, though I think darker music would better set the mood for the dark atmosphere of the levels, instead of techno. But, overall it's a great game, I'd definitely buy it when it's no longer free.

Addicted .... Downloaded it... Expecting to be bored and just kill time... A few HOURS later, I found myself addicted. It's relaxing and entertaining. I hate spiders, but this lil guy is likable. Great new addition/addiction to my ipad.

Still Love this Game. I like the original "Spider" when I don't want to think to much. Love "Spider II" One problem with the original "Spider" it does not work on the iPad Pro. Hoping for an update.

Really Fantastic!. I played this game until I beat it. At least the free bits. It was really hard to pull my attention away from the game, so thanks for making a great game.

Wasn't as expected. Thought this was a mystery game when it turned out to be kind of an adventure game. The game is really simple, boring, and repetitive. Wasn't as expected at all. I don't know how it made it as an app of the week. Truly disappointing, not worth the 5 bucks.

Fun!. Dunno about the mystery, but it is fun to build webs and trap bugs! Graphics and music are great, though sometimes it can be frustrating to steer the spider. Any game that makes a spider the hero is a good thing in my book.

It is much of what the description says it is.... One of the few game that lives up to the cheesy review of critics. I would only give five stars to the most stellar of titles, and this - for what it is - comes close...

Great Game! One minor glitch.. A lot of fun. Bit of a logistics problem when you are left handed.

Clever mystery. I enjoyed the unspoken story in the background. The pictures, the sadness, the wedding ring in the sink, ect. Fun and well placed story line without having to tell you every detail.

Fun but too short!. Enjoy playing, but it's really too short. Double the number of levels & I will rate it with 5 stars.

A real review. This game stinks. You do the same thing over and over again. Make a web and catch the flys. It is not hard and is very boring. Way way over priced. In my opinion all positive reviews are from a friend of the creator.

Best game i've played on iPad. This is by far the best game ive played on my iPad. Beautiful graphics and lovely gameplay. Highly recommend this game.
