App crashes. The app continues to crash upon opening. I deleted it and the reinstall and worked fine for a couple of days, now it's crashing again. Please fix, for this the best app, that truly is in touch with Gods word, and I listen to sermons daily on my commute each day to work!

Our God is Love. Going through the creation sermon is so eye opening and heart filling to know how much our God Love is for all. He has done and what He’s doing is so magnificent through Jesus will amaze your life in the Holy Sprit. Give yourself 30 minutes a day and you’ll see for yourself what John MacArthur sermon are for you. God’s Blessing to you !

Will not open consistently on iPhone 8 Plus. I am using an iPhone 8 Plus. Half of the time I want to hear a sermon, I open the app on the phone and listen to it, then close the app. However, when I want to do the same thing the next day, the app will not open. I have to delete it from my phone, turn my phone off, turn my phone back on again and reinstall the app. Since I listen to these sermons on a daily basis, having to go through these steps almost every time I want to listen to MacArthur is very frustrating! Any fix suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Great App!!. This is a great app and many thanks to those who developed it!! I have learned so much from it. Just, if it can share the exact sermon/message via social media, it could be even better. At this moment if you want to share, the link would direct you to the resource library. It wouldn’t work if I would like to share one specific audio or sermon.

App crashes. I have eternally been transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit in no small part by the ministry of Grace to You and John. I listen to and study the Bible everyday with the use of this app. However I purchased a new XS Max yesterday and now the app will not load sermons and will not do anything but crash when I try to open it. I have attempted to erase the app and reload on my phone and it still will not work. It keeps crashing seconds after I open the app. Please fix this as soon as is possible. I have nothing but praise and thanksgiving for the work of this ministry and the blessings that it bri fa me everyday as I study the Word Of God verse by verse. Please please please fix.

Slick app. Thank you thank you thank you. So many free apps are poorly developed. This one is fast and well organized, with the essential features I like when listening to lectures and sermons. You offer it for free! Wonderfully generous. I am so pleased.

An Oasis. Im serving in a country that locks the net. This app has been my source of joy and a lifeline to the Word. I grew up listening to GTY on the radio. Ecstatic that I’ve found them again.

Perfect. If I want a deep dive into one book, this is one of my favorite speakers to listen to. Super detailed and biblical. I can confidently teach my children. One thing I’d like to see is if I start to listen to one of the many sections under sermons > by scripture, that it would automatically start playing the next one without me having to look for it every time I open the app. It’s probably just me not having figured out a setting or something Anyway overall it is fantastic!

Good app. Please add an option where you can go to the next sermon and not have to scroll up or down and figure out the last sermon you were listening too.

Glitch. This is an awesome app and I use it all the time. However, when I’m on break at work, I cannot listen to anything so I read the blog. There have been frequent posts lately, but when I click on them there is no text. I don’t know if I am missing something or if it’s a glitch specific to me, but I thought I would bring it to your attention!

Great app, but.... I love this app. It is simple and easy to use. The audio option is really handy. I also like the giggling and notes features. It is only missing an option to add a reading plan that allows you track progress. There are not many apps that offer this free, but those that do have other bible versions. I would love to follow a John MacArthur reading plan and be able to check off of those I have completed and be prompted on what to read next. Please add this feature and this app would be perfect!

True Word of God. Living in the last days it’s extremely difficult to find sound biblical doctrine! I’m grateful to God to have discovered this bible app and the Ministry of Pastor MacArthur. Since I’ve downloaded this App.. it has catapulted my faith and desire to grow deeper in the knowledge wisdom understanding and power of God. Highly recommend this app!!

Download Entire Series With One Tap. Love the app, I listen to the sermons nearly everyday. One thing I think that would make this app even better would be an option to download an entire sermon series with just one tap, rather than download each sermon separately from the same series.

Needs a recently listened to tab!!. I love this app and I love listening to the messages, but I often can’t remembered the exact name of the sermon series I was listening to and I have to scroll through all the topics to find it. Is there something that I’m missing that will help me with this? If not, a “recently listened to” tab should be added!!

Love. Love the biblical sound teaching . Teaches verse by verse I have been blessed by this ministry in the beginning of my walk and still today . I’ve been following Christ for 2 years and when an older Christian woman told me about Grace to You I downloaded it

Mike. Frustrated with app. It will not open. I have not had any trouble until 16 November 2018 with this app. It is a favorite app along with the Study Bible. Please correct whatever the issue is.

App help. My app isn’t working since the update. I have the iPhone 10. Please help. I miss listening to Gods word on here. Is there a known problem currently?

Great app, sound Biblical teaching. I love this app and have used it for years. It’s a blessing to hear the Word taught verse by verse. Many sermons I have listened to over and again and it has been transformational in my life.

Frustrated with Playback. The app is great and I am so thankful for all the work of all the people that has created it. However I am struggling with playback issues continually. If I pause it and come back to it any amount of time later it will skip back to a random spot anywhere from the beginning of the sermon or just a couple of minutes back. And it is very difficult to find the place where I was previously. Please fix!

Awesome app love Grace Stream. The ability to listen to pastor John teaching through the NT any time is awesome. I can choose a book chapter and verse or just tune into the stream! I listen to about 90 hours a week!!! Im addicted!

App doesn’t work on data. App used to work on cellular data but no longer does. Just updated and still the same sad cloud face says no internet. I have all my settings to allow over cellular but I just can’t get it to work any longer. Please fix. I miss MacArthur on the road. I know I can download sermons but I don’t always have a plan for what I want to listen to next.

Awesome. My app kept crashing for days but all I had to do was delete the app off my phone then reinstall it. It’s back to working, yay! Thank you gty for making these sermons so accessible! Thankful for your ministry.

Grace to You. I have been listening to sermons and teachings Everyday, on this app for near 10 years all of a sudden it doesn’t work anymore. I finally sat here and deleted it off my phone only to find that installing it again is just as bad. So sad! Please fix!! My review on Grace to You is top rate as high count as you want but as far as this APP FUNCTION I have to be honest it is a zero. Zero being the worst you can get. PS not yelling, just want to make sure you understand it is the App!!

❤️. I absolutely love this app and Pastor MacArthur's sermons. I use it often. If I can offer some feedback. In my downloads, regarding titles. On some of the longer titled sermons the titles are cut off. Especially the ones where part 1...2...3 are there. Not a huge deal but it's difficult to determine which sermon to select as the titles are cut off with no way to make them visible.

Great app and love sermons - one suggestion. I love listening to John MacArthur and read his books. I would like to be able to mark his sermons as favorites. Sometimes, I have to stop mid-sermon, or want to go back and listen again. Also a history of sermons I have listened to would be helpful so I can share favorites with family members later.

The GTY app is a blessing!. Thank you for making John MacArthur’s sermons and studies so readily available! I really enjoy digging into God’s word “one verse at a time.” My walk with the Lord is stronger now than it has ever been. Using this app only enhances the benefit of the JMac Study Bible! **If I might suggest, it would be great if there was a feature to flag messages or studies that I have already listened to, and maybe make the color choice of the “flag” be optional to notate different things, such as sermons already listened to, sermons to listen to, etc. Currently, I write down the name and number of what I’ve listened to and refer to my notes to make sure I don’t repeat a sermon/lesson.

John Mac Arthur is amazing!. The app works better than the you tube app to be honest here. I can watch and listen to his sermons while I even close the app and it is very easily downloaded no buffering also very clear video and sound. You can do so much more on the app I haven't even utilized most of it. Honestly don't change a thing about it. If I could visit his church I would in a heart beat, perhaps one day. His sermons are very very bible based, honest, and just helps me really understand so much. My family And I don't go to church often but this is a way for us to hear and study the word. The very best.. I am grateful to my dad for introducing me to John MaCArthur. I am a member of First Baptist Dallas, but I listen to John every morning. I am grateful for his biblically based teachings. We are hoping to fly to California in November and attend Grace Community Church and shake John MaCArthurs hand. Thank you for being a light sir.

New version does not open. I use this app almost daily but after the new update it won’t open and I can’t download any sermons. The other reviewer mentioned that he had to delete the content and then it works...how do I do that? Any help would be appreciated!

Grace to you app. It worked great for years and now I cannot get it to work at all. Help please I depend on it as we can not get out any more. We are in our 80s and poor health.

Fantastic, could use some work. I have to give this app 5 stars because it has so much material that teaches God's truth. There are some fixes that would be ideal, though: first, I want to see what I've already listed to. This would be super helpful. And then a search feature would be ideal. Overall, though, this is one of the best tools for my learning of the Word and I'm so thankful that it exists.

Wish there would be search and bookmark capabilities. It’s such a good app with all messages in one stop shop. It would be nice to have bookmarks and search capability. It’s hard to navigate and remember where I left from last time and couldn’t search for it.

Saved by Christ through John’s preaching. I listened to John’s preaching at my mother’s prompting over 35 years ago, the Gospel of John. When he taught me about how Jesus literally controlled the circumstances of his capture trials,and crucifixion, I had no other option but to follow Jesus. John MacArthur is one of America’s greatest Bible teachers. Jesus is “God the Son”!

Time for a remodel?. I am really enjoying this app, thank you so much for making it a available it is easy to use. Could you broaden its abilities however? For example: make it possible to hold the message we are listening to so when we return to it we don’t have to start from scratch and locate the message? I know we can return to the exact place in a message which we previously paused if the app is open, but not if it’s closed down. I would love to be able to return to the message automatically next day even if I have left the app for a few days. It’s frustrating having to go back into the sermons and scrolling to the correct book and then remembering the chapter and then selecting the title again. FAR TOO MANY STEPS. Set us free? 😉 Also, it would be really helpful to have search box so we can type in any subject and be taken to a list of possible matches rather than scrolling endlessly to see if anything fits. Thanks again.

Bookmarks. I really love the app. On feature missing is the ability to book mark. Or to marks favorite series so that they can easily be found.

Trouble with your App opening on my iPhone.. I cannot open your App on my iPhone even after I tried to delete the App and Put the App back on my iPhone with your update. Missing sleep timer. Really good app overall, however I really wish it had a sleep timer built into playback.

Every Morning I Listen!. Love the content and the clarity of each message. Thank you Lord for your Word and thank you for the gift you have given John and his team to deliver its profound saving message! I listen to the radio broadcast every morning and sincerely look forward to doing so each weekday. Highly recommend this app.

An idea. The app is perfect, it gets the job done without flaw. An idea: Have some type of identifying mark telling the user that they have listened to that particular audio file.

Please fix bug. I love the content on this app and have never experienced any major bugs till recently. Have not been able to open app for well over a month now. Every time I try to open the app it crashes. There have been no updates to fix this. Please have this fixed ASAP because I miss using this app. Thank you!

Add a “to watch” playlist or favorites playlist. It’s be way easier to get back to a sermon if you can add fav or do different folders or something like that.

Thank You. Years ago a local church had a tape ministry and I would go make copies so I could listen to MacArthur preach, I remember having 52 tapes in a box on the seat of my truck just to hear him preach through Matt 5,6 & 7. Now all that and more fits in pocket. I have listened to hundreds of hours of preaching through this app. I am so grateful for all the people that make this possible.

Love the app, issue with last update. Since the update I am unable to play my downloaded messages, when I hit the tab it takes me out of the app completely. Please fix asap :)

Super Frustrated. The app will NOT open anymore. I have been a subscriber for 8 or 9 years and have never had a problem. All I get is “OOPS” something went wrong....over and over again. I literally have to open my internet browser and go to the website to listen to content at this point. Super Frustrated.

Fantastic content but some basic ease of use issues. I only really use the app for audio as opposed to video. I rue the lack of a 15 seconds back / 15 seconds forward button on the audio player. Even though it seems like a small thing it is now standard on the iOS podcast app and really is ultra useful for when you miss a few seconds of a podcast or get distracted in traffic etc.

Struggles to work. This application crashes a lot. I also find that it will randomly stop downloading videos. Or if I download too many sermons it will crash and then delete some of the sermons I have previously downloaded. Besides the constant crashing everything seems to work well.

I couldn't delete any of them as I know I'd be listening to them again in the future. Tremendous!. I can't believe how much is available to the user through this app. From devotionals to radio and television airings, the GTY app will definitely be one of my most used. John MacArthur has few equals when it comes to solid, expository Bible teaching, and having access to this app is like striking gold! Kudos too to the developers for a very user-friendly experience.

The positive aspect of technology. I don't really write reviews. There are enough ppl out there to handle that I've noticed... But I would really like to thank the team involved with John in creating this app so that his teachings can be with us anytime or anywhere we need a quick or lengthy, (whatever the hearts in need of atm) breakdown & reminder of Gods brilliant, loving and instructional gospel. I have many issues with technology/internet that stem from personal dilemmas and heartache, but if I had to guess, I think that God willing man to invent such technology, was almost solely for this purpose. To spread the word of God to as many ppl as possible. {\*/} The app itself gets more user friendly with every update, and that's much appreciated. For a future update, maybe the tech J~Mac team could allow the different sermons to be checked off as we complete them. Not that I mind re-listening to them more than once.. But I worry if I don't have a way of keeping track of the ones I have listened to, while I bounce around from one topic to the next, that I might never get through them all.. And Johns teachings are an amazing tool for comprehending His word; historically as well as prophetically. Do not miss this. This app is a blessing and a gift for anyone who uses it. Pastor John MacArthur is the best, and goes through every verse of the Bible explaining its meaning and how to apply it to our lives.

Won’t get past the splash screen!. Don’ get me wrong, Pastor John’s sermons are spot on, however this app is not! I will stick to utility the computer. Hearing the word should NOT be this frustrating.

App won’t open. My app won’t open on my phone. I delete it and put it back on phone and sometimes it will open n most times it won’t. I never had a problem till recently!

Great Bible Preaching. John MacArthur’s messages encourage and help me grow in the Lord. No nonsense, just Bible and. I compromise. God bless him.

Needs a history button or something. I love this app but it does have a flaw. It really needs a way to track what has been listened to. I'm listening to the book of Romans and I always have to figure out where I'm at. So it would great if maybe things that have been listened to received a check mark or something like that. The four stars apply to the app only. John is a spirit filled Bible teacher. I appreciate his boldness and commitment to scripture. He's not a teacher who tells you what you want to hear so you walk away feeling good about yourself. He's a teacher who tells you what you need to know to help you grow and become more like Christ even when it hurts to hear it. Put it this way. After stuffing your face with a big meal, you have ketchup all over your chin but you don't know it. You think you look good. You even ask your friends if you have anything on your face and they tell you "no". That's what a "feel good" preacher is. Now you come across John and you don't ask him because you already "know" you're looking good. But John informs you that you have ketchup all over your chin. So what does a person do when they find out they're a mess? They run to the mirror and examine themselves. That's what kind of teacher John is. If you want to grow in Christ, you've come to the right source. But even though John isn't a "feel good" preacher, I promise you, nothing feels more awesome than growing in Christ. Sometimes it's hard but the outcome is amazing!

Works well on iPhone, but not in iPad iOS 13. Happy with the app. Able to download many of the sermon series. Continued to work well with iOS 13+ on iPhone but not on large iPad.

Worked great for a month. Have not updated iPhone 7 Plus since downloading the App. Today it quit working. Deleted app then powered down the phone. Reloaded app and still no joy.

App won’t stop crashing. I loved this app but it stopped working for me. I’ve uninstalled, reinstalled, updated my phone and it always crashes after a few minutes. I’m so sad, but I have my Bible.

Most Valuable Thing on My Phone. The app hasn't given me any trouble, personally, so no complaints there! The most important gift is that ALL of Pastor John Mac Arthur's sermons are here in the palm of my hand. As someone who started attending Grace in 1979 as a UCLA freshman, this is truly amazing. That my children have both told me that their walks with the Lord were directly impacted by their access to these sermons while they were away from me at college means so much to me, because even if they were unable to find meaty Bible teaching at school, they could still participate in whatever was available and even enhance their local Bible study with insights from listening to John. One of my all time favorite sermons was on a Sunday night in the mid 1980's when I heard "A Jet Tour Through the Book of Revelation." John is well known to be a verse by verse teacher, but that doesn't mean he can't go fast! I remember how he mentioned that Revelation was obviously written ages ago, but that it miraculously mentions that the entire world will see the martyrs in the streets and I thought, "Wow, like on TV!" Fast forward 30 years and now we'll see them on our watches or phones...even in Africa, where many countries skipped right over landline use and straight to mobile. This is the kind of eye-opening stuff that John MacArthur helps to clarify. Solo Deo Gloria!

AWESOME!!!. This is an AWESOME app. It's so great to have all the messages and resources of John MacArthur and Grace to You available to have in the palm of your hand. John MacArthur is one of the all time BEST expository preachers that there has ever been. He teaches the Bible and uses the Bible to explain the Bible. He most certainly never backs down from opposition, and when asked questions that other people back down from, he doesn't hesitiate to proclaim what the Bible says. It's wonderful to hear the Bible and the truth of it, without it being watered down and made to make you feel good. John MacArthur doesn't hesitate to speak the truth no matter how hard it may be.

Glitched. You are unable to stream unless you're using wifi, even if you have data turned on for the app in settings. Please patch this :/

good but could be better. to be clear, in my opinion John MacArthur is one of the best, if not the best living Bible Teacher we have. I enjoy listening to his sermons and reading his devotions. Also, I did not forget that I paid $0.00 for this app. Having said that, I would gladly pay to have the "Strength for Today" and the "Drawing Near" devotions as stand alone apps. You would do well to consult with 43rd Element and create the John MacArthur devotions into apps just like the Spurgeon apps for "Faiths Checkbook" and "Morning & Evening". The problem with the way the devotions work on this app is they take way too long to load. I don't have the luxury of 3G service in my area, and the WiFi connections are scarce at best. So, I'm sure this works great for people that are under the 3G & WiFi umbrella, but for folks like me... not so much. Other than the problem with the devotions . . . this app is great. The ability to access 40 years of sermons and listen to the audio from my iPhone is outstanding!

Not Deaf Friendly. I am very disappointed that all sermons are not in scripts for the deaf people to read. Only listen to the radio and even on TV broadcast there is no closed captioning. John MacArthur is a great preacher and want to read his sermons but can't.

Must have for study enhancement. I've been a believer for many years and have come to appreciate various teachers always mindful to carefully pay attention to what is being drawn out of God's precious Word. I'm sure God has many great teachers/preachers that I've not heard. All that being said I'm so grateful to have the privilege to have access to such a sound teacher. This man is no doubt a relentless man that has demonstrated faithfulness and a high regard for scripture. For those unaware John MacArthur has taught for over 40years a precise exposition (verse by verse) teaching of the New Testament. I've found his teachings to be what Gods Word is, straight forward and balanced. There is much more to be said but to be honest it would be better for you to check out a sermon with your bible open. If its in the New Testament he'll have a sermon on it! Thank you Mr. MacArthur (actually Doctor MacArthur) And Thank you Lord for the privilege of so freely hearing your Word and Teachers such as John MacArthur. If it weren't for your abundant grace and love, I would no doubt have remained in darkness.

Crash, Crash, this app Crashes. Do not waste your time. The content is 100% grade "A". But the app doesn't preform correctly. I have had this app for months. Enabling me to listen to GTY and to down load more teaching as I see fit. But starting Friday night 05 jul13 the audio would play yet it would not allow me stop or to go to the down loaded page and switch or view the different teachings. It also would quit after about a minute of play. So i restarted my 5th Generation Ipod Touch and it did it again and again, and again. So today 06jun13 after I preached a sermon I went to the local library ( i dont have internet access at home) and deleted the GTY app with 1.9g of teachings and reloaded the app again. And the same thing happened. So I am done with it. I wash my hands of it. It's time to go back to the pod cast. Do not waste your time with this app. Excellent teaching but you can not access the teachings. The app deserves no stars. Yet the App Store would not allow you to submit a review unless you give it a star.

Great app BUT .... I use 2 apps by the same developer, and both have an annoying bug that has gone unaddressed ... When on the "Now Playing" screen, whether the current sermon is stopped or not, clicking DOWNLOADS to return to the list of previously downloaded messages causes the app to close unexpectedly. I used to think I wasn't being careful to actually click DOWNLOADS, but was accidentally clicking above it or beside it somehow, but it doesn't matter how careful I am. Because it's exactly the same on either ministry app, I can only assume it's a bug. It's annoying and has been this way as long as I can remember (in spite of keeping up with app updates). Hope posting this might bring that issue to someone's attention. Otherwise, however, the app is easy to use and nicely organized.

Frustrating. Great app and all but I am blind and with voiceover on, it’s not too helpful. It just announces everything as buttons and cant even select books to read

Very Buggy on IPhone SE. It was working great, then with the new iPhone software upgrade has become unusable. I could not open any new Sermons. Deleted the app and reinstalled, now it will not open at all. When I try to open it it just shuts down immediately. This may be an Apple issue.

App keeps crashing. App keeps crashing on me lately. Needs a bug fix. Can't even listen to a sermon for more than 10 minutes before crashing

Will not open. I have an iPhone X and the app will not open. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and restarted my phone but the app crashes every time I try to open it.

Amazing app. This app is one of the hidden wonder's of the universe and probably one of the greatest supplementary study resources of God's Word that there is. Truly, I thank God for blessing me to live in a time of history where I can receive sound, biblical teaching through an app on my phone. The content on this app is rich, I imagine it'll take YEARS to fully absorb everything within. The folks at 'Grace to You' have purposed to unleash God's truth, now God's truth can be unleashed literally by one's fingertips and a few taps on a screen. Problems of late. This much needed resource performed consistently for over a year. But lately, possibly with the most recent iOS update, the grace stream, no longer plays for consistently, Wi-Fi or cellular, doesn’t matter the device..

App won't open. The app stays blank. I have the latest update. Ironically that update says it fixed this issue. Please help!

Audio Scrubber, Time Elapsed, Rewind/Fast Forward Bug!!. A bug that makes me crazy What happened with the latest rev? How did this horrible bug make it into the latest rev. This is pure useful functionality. Please test your releases better. I’m on the latest Rev of the iOS and the latest Rev of the app and there is an intermittent bug that is really annoying me. God help me! In my lock screen it used to show the scrubber at the elapsed time and I would see how much time was elapsed and how much time was left. NOW that is only the case sometimes, and there is NO rhyme or reason that I’ve found for WHY! Most of the time now, the lock screen view of the sermon shows the elapsed scrubber at the very beginning and there are no time references for elapsed time and time left! In addition, within the app and within the sermon audio section, there are times when it functions normally (as it used to), showing the scrubber at the appropriate elapsed time with time elapsed and time left showing appropriately as well AND the rewind and fast forward 15 seconds buttons. More often than not, however, it the scrubber is missing and the rewind and fast forward buttons are missing too. The elapsed time seems to appear, but the time left shows up as hyphens (- - : - -). What gives? This is an atrocious bug, as when I’m in the app, I need to know the elapsed time and I need to be able to rewind and fast forward, but the ONLY way I can rewind/ff is if I swipe down from the top of the iPhone screen to use the “lock screen” view of the sermon, where at least the rewind/forward buttons are still there, and this is super inconvenient. Please fix this!!

What Happened?. My app no longer works, or will not connect to wireless or cellular. I use this app on the way home, and to work. I absolutely love the download of the sermons! Please fix!

Topics selection crashes immediately. The topics sections crashes immediately before it opens. That was my favorite part of the app. I hope it gets fixed soon. For me searching in the other options takes longer.

Needs Search Feature. JMac is as good as it gets. Changed my life and ministry. It’s amazing GTY provides all this content for no charge. For the life of me, though, I can’t fathom this kind of library without a search feature. Please, please make the app as accessible as the teaching is beneficial.

Always loses place. If you don’t have time to listen to a whole sermon at once, don’t bother. This app will not hold your position.

Flexibility of use. I love this app because I am seldom sitting in front of TV. I can listen while I clean, cook, sew.

Wonderful with one problem. First off the content is amazing! I have throughly enjoyed HOURS of excellent teaching! I really love the "Download" option to the sermons BUT that is where the problem comes in: I had "downloaded" a series of sermons on my iPhone 6S knowing I would be in an area with NO data service. But when I got to that area and tried to open the app to listen to the downloaded content, the app would NOT load because there was no data signal?!?!?! I was dumbfounded, what is the point of "downloading" IF you have to be connected to data to open the app at all? I was able to bypass this, but I had to drive to a local hotel and "borrow" their wifi to be able to open the app, then drove back to work and was able to listen to the downloaded content! PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP! Other than that - I love the content available!
